1 Year Later

"Tori, you need to relax..", I hear a soft voice and a gentle hand on my shoulder trying to calm me. I squeeze my eyes shut, before letting out a soft sigh, "That's easy for you to say..you're not committing your life to someone", slightly wincing at what I just said. I hear an even more stern voice this time, "Victoria! You bite your tongue", instantly realizing it's my mom and sister. Honestly, everyone would be shocked to know that Trina has been more helpful than ever since we don't live together anymore. Anytime I'm afraid that I'm going to mess everything up she's right there to tell me otherwise. I really almost screwed up but Trina stopped me and told me I needed to open up to Jade about how I was feeling and the urges I was having. I swallowed my pride and actually went to her and we fixed the issues. I cringe before turning to face my mother, "Sorry..I didn't mean that..", letting my eyes drop to my feet.

I'm fixing my hair a little bit, "Jade, it's time", is all I hear my mother say behind me. I let out a soft sigh, "Jadelyn, it'll all be okay..you definitely made the right choice..", I hear a stern, but familiar voice saying. I look up to see my father, honestly I'm quite shocked at this point. Almost enough to say I was rendered speechless briefly. I hear his soft, hardy chuckle, "Yes, this is actually happening and you're not dreaming. I never thought I would get over you being in love with a woman..", he pauses momentarily, "Then I started to watch and see you with Tori and noticed the light come back on in your life", he offers me a smile, "Plus I couldn't miss walking you down the aisle on your wedding day..", I walk towards him, still slightly stunned. I really couldn't believe I wasn't dreaming then I felt the warmth and strength of his hand grabbing mine. I blushed softly, "Well I hope you like the dress you paid for", giving him a quick spin.

"Oh wow..oh wow", I'm trying not to squeal in excitement. I didn't let anyone come to my first dress appointment so it wouldn't be too overwhelming. We picked out my top five choices then setup where they loaded the dressing room before the girls got here. Once my mom, Cat, Holly, and Beck, yes I told him to come. I hear Beck clear his throat, "You okay in there", I hear his subtle Canadian accent come through the curtains. I steady myself and my breath then walk out, "I think so but you tell me what you think..", seeing their jaws drop immediately. It's a floor length dress with a nice moderate train. It's a soft, royal purple underneath with a beautiful shear, charcoal gray lace over the top of it. It's strapless, but tastefully covers my large chest and thicker figure. I don't hear any noise except, "Wow..", that Beck utters softly, "Jade..seriously..you look so beautiful right now..Tori is absolutely lucky to get to see you every day of her life..", everyone stops and looks at him slightly shocked. He shrugs and without missing a beat, "Sorry not sorry, Jade is a beautiful woman, I've always thought so. Tori is lucky to get that every day, plus she brings out a side of Jade no one gets to see unless in private..", he grabs my hand, "Don't let go of her and make sure she treats you like you deserve", boring his stare into my eyes. I smile softly and nod to agree with him.

I roll my shoulders then grab my vest sliding it on. I don't have a suit jacket because I don't like it and think they're bulky. My mother smiles at me then the door opens, "Alright my main dude", followed by Andre's chuckle, "It's time to get you in place so Jade can come out..well she already did that but ya know", clicks his tongue. I shake my head at him and laugh before giving him a playful shove then hug him, "Thank you for everything you've done for us..", before hearing him sniffle. I hear him clear his throat, "Sorry sorry I almost lost my cool for a sec but we're good now..", another chuckle, "Let's go", now his serious, "cool" tone is coming out of him. I shake my head at him as he leads me out to the beachside cliff.

I'm over driving everywhere in West L.A. to find a darn suit or someone who can actually help fit me in one. It's not that hard people, I want good quality for a decent cost. Andre whips it into a suit store I don't think I've seen before. He turns off the car then slowly undoes his belt, "Let me do the talking but this should be a good fit. I like the suits they help fit me with", he nods his head to which I return, "'Ight, cool, let's go then", we both climb out of the car and head to the door. Andre reaches the door and opens it letting me go in first. A younger woman walks out, "Andre Harris! My favorite suit buyer..I see you brought me a new customer..let's get started sweetie", she grabs my arm and pulls me towards the fitting area. This woman smiles at me sweetly, "Alright darling let's get you fitted up real nice", then goes to grab a few supplies and set herself up, "I'm Maxine by the way and I'm also a MTF transgender so I'm always glad to help out a fellow member", offering me a small wink as my jaw drops. I hear Andre chuckle, "Yep this is why I brought you here. Maxine is a wonderful tailor..", he stops himself before he can continue. I see him pinch his lip softly between his thumb and index finger like he's really thinking before he speaks. Maxine gives him this look, kind of like I've given to Jade before more like she's given to me. Before I complete my thoughts, I hear Maxine's voice, "Andre, I think she deserves to hear it from you especially after you told me how you reacted to her and Jade trying to work up to being a couple. You weren't very nice so now would be the time to right your wrong..", giving her a look I wouldn't want to cross.

I'm standing there with Maxine watching Andre's pacing slow to a stop. He turns to us and swallows softly then clears his throat, "Alright..alright..I'll tell her..she's also the best girlfriend I could ask for..", he stops because I'm looking at him for more of an explanation, "We met here, I came in for a few new suits and she was the only person here to help me out. She started to work and we started to talk. We had a lot in common then she learned I could sing because one of the guys said I should sing them a song", he smirks at her. Maxine smiles at me, "Yeah I was new and it was one of my first few days so they were letting me work on a few of the best customers. This was the first time I had met Andre or even saw him. So I piped up and asked for him to prove that he could sing..", giggling to herself. Andre nods his head, "Yeah so I went for it and sang "Tell Me That You Love Me" like you did that night at the restaurant. It seemed to woo the person you meant for it to so I figured why not..", smiling at me sheepishly. I looked at him puzzled, "I wasn't trying to woo anyone Andre..", nodding my head in assurance. He looked at me as if to say "oh please" before stating, "I saw the way Jade looked back at you and the look in her eyes. I knew there was something going on with her. You may have not been "trying" but Jade was definitely watching and listening to you. Little may you know she's always thought you had an amazing voice and even told me something before her and Beck split..", dropping his head then looking back up at me, "She told me she knew she could fall in love with you and it scared her. That from the night she helped you against Ryder she knew she was very much attracted to you. That she never really hated you..she was terrified of how she felt..that when you two were alone it would make her heart race then her head would feel fuzzy..", he stops speaking briefly, "But I sang to the store then Maxine asked me to go out on a date. We went to dinner that night and that's when she disclosed that she was actually transgender and still a man down there and would always be because she didn't know if she wanted to go through with that part of it. That's when I finally disclosed that I felt like I might be bisexual because I always felt attracted to guys and had tried fooling around once or twice..", shrugging his shoulders, "And that he was willing to try it for me", Maxine finished for him.

By this point I needed to sit down for a moment, "I can't believe some of the things I'm hearing. Like I thought you might be into guys because you and girls don't mesh sometimes. You're too clumsy for that", laughing in soft nervousness. He gives me a "fuck you" look with a smile, "But most importantly..I'm sorry for the way I reacted to you and Jade trying to be together. I don't know why I was such an ass but I kind of regretted it after it happened and I never knew how to fix my mistake until recently. I think we were both bitter for a while and I was a scared boy. Just know I love you very much sis and I'm so glad you found your person and were able to just be yourself. That and Jade needed someone to make her truly happy and you do just that for her and I'm so proud to have seen you two grow to this moment. I can't wait to walk you down the aisle first as your best man. You both are going to make beautiful brides and I really am glad to be a part of it..", pulling me onto my feet into a big, loving hug. I hear him sniffle softly, "I love you too, Andre, I'm glad you've become this man I see now. You are the perfect guy to be my best man and I'm glad I have someone to cry with when Beck walks Jade to me", smiling at him, "Now let's get me in a suit so this can happen", chuckling heartily.

I feel a soft nudge, "Alright Tori..let's do this", feeling Andre link his arm with mine just as the music begins to play. I hear just some soft instrumental music before I recognize it as "Everlasting Friend by Blue October and smile to myself. We arrive at the beautiful altar and arch that Cat, Trina, my mom, and Jade's mom put together for us. Andre stands next to me and smirks at me seeing the glisten in my eyes knowing I'm going to cry. Sikowitz smiles and nods at me, little did any of us know that he can officiate weddings. I hear the music fading then everyone standing just before Beck and Jade appear as they walk towards us. I sigh softly, trying to steady my breath. My mom smiles at me, knowing I'm so nervous. I take a breath and remember my mom and my mother in law "Just think of the cool sand against your feet" because it's on the beach so barefoot sounded kind of fun.

Beck's arm is linked with mine as we proceed to get closer to Tori. I feel the cool sand in my toes which is keeping me calm. I let my ears focus on the piano and realize it's a mashup of "Tell Me That You Love Me" and "Sweater Weather" by Neighbourhood. That right there is almost enough to make me cry. I hear Beck's voice softly say, "Andre did such a good job piecing these together" then he smiles at me. I feel a few tears welling up in the corner of my eyes. I look at Tori and can't help the blush smiling I give her.

Jade smiles at me and that's it before I start to cry. She looks absolutely stunning and I realize in that moment that I'm the luckiest person on the earth. Jade is the thing that I needed to complete myself and I'm glad the universe chose her for me. I feel Andre's hand squeeze my shoulder and a soft sniffle to my left. I take a breath to steady myself then dab my eyes with the handkerchief that my mother in law gave me. They stop, Beck kisses her cheek and gives her away to me as I grab her hand and pull her to face me. I mouth "I love you" to which she responds the same before Sitowitz clears his throat. He smiles at us then at the wedding party, which is small, "Ladies, gentleman, and everyone in between..we gather today to unite these wonderful ladies in union forever..", clapping his hands together softly, "Now did you two prepare vows or shall we proceed in the normal fashion", questioning us with his eyes. I smile, "I don't know if she did but I would like her to go first please", Jade nods her head then looks at my sister who brings her a folded paper.

I take my vows from Trina and unfold them. I take a steading breath because I poured myself into these, "Victoria or Tor to me, I never knew that love could take you on such an adventure. I always thought you would have to travel to see the most beautiful things in life when I eventually found out that the number one most beautiful thing was in front of me. Life takes us to many unfamiliar places and finding you was my favorite. You became the most familiar place to me. My place of light..of love..of hope. You became my home. I didn't need four walls and a bed, I needed you. I couldn't be the person I am now if it wasn't for the things you did for me. I'm glad you held onto me by gluing me together. My puzzle was always incomplete until I found my final piece with you. Tor, I love you. I vow to do so every day and grow to do so more. I vow to honor and cherish you every day. I vow to be yours and yours alone. I vow to care for you. I vow to stand by your side. Most of all I vow to be your wife. Now. Forever. Until death do us part", as I slide the ring I chose for Tori onto her finger who is now slightly teared up.

I dab my eyes and take my vows from my inside pocket, an added touch from Maxine. I clear my throat, "Jadelyn or J to me, I can't tell the exact moment I knew that you were my final piece. I'm not sure if that was when I shoved that handful of cereal in your mouth or if it was on our first "date" but I do know there were so many times that you gave me butterflies and I never understood it. I know our puzzle isn't what everyone was expecting but I'm glad that you're the one who completes me. I love every aspect of Jadelyn West from her art to her soul. You've grown into one of the most wonderful and amazing women I've ever met. I'm glad that I got the number one on that list next to my mom. Like you said, I don't need four walls and a bed, I just need you and I'm home. J, I love you. I vow that I will every day until my final breath unless yours sadly comes first. I vow that I will help you every step in your path to the end. I vow to protect you. I vow to care for you. I vow to cherish you and praise you often. I vow to be your one and only. Lastly I vow to be your lover now..forever..until death do us part", sliding my chosen ring for Jade on her finger.

At this point a few of us are sniffling softly, even Sikowitz who clears his throat, "Alright so everyone can stop crying..does anyone object to this union before I make it official", he pauses briefly to let anyone speak up. He nods his head, "No objections then we may proceed. Jade, Tori, remember to love and respect each other for all your days. Cherish your moments together and build a life of love. Now, I, Erwin Sikowitz, with the power vested in me by the state of California I pronounce you wives. Tori, you may kiss your bride", he announces loudly with a smile on his face. I place a hand on Jade's waist pulling her closer then use my free hand to pull her to my face to which I kiss her softly and sweetly. I use my lips to remind her of my love for her and to seal our marriage with a proper, loving kiss. I pull myself back as everyone starts to clap for us as Sikowitz bellows loudly , "I now present to you..the WESTs!", before yodeling our last name. Another round of piano starts, this time it's a piece of music Jade wrote for me but doesn't know I found. She looks at me surprised, to which I answer with a mischievous smile. I link our arms and lock our fingers as the wedding party departs leading us down the aisle as everyone else showers us in applause, cheering, and a flood of bubbles.

We hurriedly got ourselves back to the beach house for our reception. Thankfully we got one that was close and had one for rent right next to it, well my father in law did since he "couldn't make it". Jade wanted to get back there quickly while everyone else did the tear down then started to get ready to go to our reception on the beach. She practically shoves me through the door which was conveniently left unlocked and just open enough to push open. Jade quickly shuts and locks it, "There now we can seal this marriage the right way", her voice full of lust the same as her steel gray eyes. I sigh loudly, trying to control myself, "My my what has gotten into you..", swallowing a little louder than I planned. Jade smirks at me, "You know I always love to see you in a suit..but this time..mm Maxine did way too good", eyeing me from head to toe several times.

Tori gives me a sultry look, "Oh is that so", and she damn well knows it is. I eye her up and down a few more times, just so you can visualize she's wearing a stunning bluish, steel gray vest and pants to match with a soft, pale pink button up with an adorable gray bow tie with light pink polka dots. It looks so stunning and perfect on her with her done nicely, she looks so handsomely beautiful. I grab her fueled with passion as I kiss her firmly. She melts then smirks into the kiss before pulling back, I know where this is going and it's going to happen quickly", she states proudly. Let's just say it did and it didn't last too long for once. Let's also say it ended with my zipper being yanked down and her dress pushed up.
