The Teletubbies great adventure
Chapter 1
Over the hills and far away Teletubbies come to play….
Tinky Winky
Dipsy
Laa-Laa
Po
One morning when the sun rose in Teletubbyland the Teletubbies woke to eat their breakfast and realised how boring their lives were. They had never really had a true adventure that went beyond the bleak green hills of Teletubbyland. So, after some discussion they decided to go on an exploration.
Dipsy: I want to go to the North Pole to see Father Christmas and get some early Christmas presents! Oh, how fun that will be. I already have my hat so I won't get cold!
Tinky Winky: No! I want to go to the shopping centre because I need a new handbag. I've decided I don't like purple anymore and want to go red. That's the in colour now you no. I'm even going to paint myself red and borrow Po's scooter.
Po: I don't think you are you stupid little handbag obsessed boy! I've never met anyone like you.
Tinky Winky: That's because you never meet anyone!
Laa-Laa: Just shut up or we're never going to get to go out anywhere. I think we should visit the moon because that's easy peasy lemon squeazy! I can get us there no problem.
Dipsy: Fine, that's decided then. At least it'll stop the arguing. We better go and tell Noo-Noo our decision.
Po: Yes are don't forget all the little baby bunnies. We can't leave them behind or they'll get very very sad.
Laa-Laa: Ok then but let's get going.
The Teletubbies had soon gathered their belongings (a handbag, hat, ball and scooter) and were on their way to the moon with all their friends in tow.
Po: Do you know the way to the moon Laa-Laa?
Laa-Laa: Of course I do! I'm the best at geography in the whole of Teletubbyland! I can't believe you'd doubt my knowledge of the moon.
Tinky Winky: Yeah Po! Everyone knows the moon is in the Hundred Acre Wood! Pooh Beat told me when I went to Milo's birthday party. I was great fun. Shame you weren't invited.
Dipsy: Oh, shut up Tinky and leave poor Po alone. Let's just follow Laa-Laa.
After many hours of walking – or scootering in Po's case – the Teletubbies stopped for a rest and as the sun went down they began to drift off to sleep.
Laa-Laa: I think we should have someone on watch duty just to make sure no aliens come to abduct us because we're getting quite close now.
Tinky Winky: Well I'm not because I've had to put up with Po all the way, plus I need my beauty sleep. Do you think they have a handbag shop on the moon? I would really like a new handbag.
Po: We know! Just shut up and go to sleep; and I'm not staying up, I had to put up with Tinky all the way.
Laa-Laa: Fine if everyone's going to argue about it I'll be on guard duty then in 10 minuets time I'll wake someone else up so I can have some sleep. Then after 10 minutes the next person can have a turn. And so on and so on…
Po: I'm not going next.
Tinky Winky: Well neither am I.
Dipsy: Fine! I will, I don't really care I just don't want everyone to keep arguing. It's bad for my health.
Laa-Laa: You lot go to sleep then before I loose my temper with you. But not you Dipsy because you're sooo sweet and kind. I love having you around. You bring me so much happiness.
So all the Teletubbies went to sleep – well all except Laa-Laa – then 10 minutes later she roused Dipsy.
Dipsy: I haven't even been to sleep yet but I don't really care because you need your sleep. I can't have someone as beautiful as you being unhappy.
Laa-Laa: Aww, you're so sweet.
Dipsy: Who shall I wake up next? No one wants to be.
Laa-Laa: I don't really care but don't be up too long or you'll be too tired tomorrow.
Dipsy: I won't don't worry.
So Laa-Laa lay down and soon dozed off to sleep pleasantly dreaming of Dipsy…….
