Chapter 1284
My Hands Are Greasy
Cammy cruised around the surrounding neighborhood. They hoped to find something. So far nothing was out of order or out of place she could spot.
John Henry informed them the bomb squad removed the explosives from the vehicle and trucked the car away on a flatbed.
The heavy law enforcement presence dissipated. John Henry soon made sure every police vehicle was out of the area.
Savannah thought of a method Cameron once used to track John and Sarah. She knew it was a touchy subject.
"Cammy, didn't Cameron track John and Sarah before by blood drops on the ground?" Savannah asked.
Cammy knew it was a bad chapter for Cameron on that day for several reasons. She'd also tortured Sarah to try and get her to call to John. She could have called to John in Sarah's voice herself. She didn't. She wanted to make Sarah do it by inflicting pain on her. Cameron pushed on Sarah's wound with her foot, to make her cry out in pain. In reality, Cameron tortured Sarah. It was a very bad day for everyone, on several levels.
It was actually the second time Sarah had been tortured by Terminator. The Liquid Metal Terminator stabbed her to make her cry out in pain also.
Cammy wanted to keep things simple.
"Yes, she did. I have those files." Cammy said. "I don't want to discuss the incident."
Savannah understood why. It was something Cameron would never talk about either. She still felt a lot of shame for her actions on that day. She didn't feel responsible, but she was still the one who did those things.
She'd tried to tell Cameron it wasn't all bad. If Sarah or Derek had been the one to get in the Jeep to pick up the cake, they most likely would have been killed by the blast. She told Cameron she may have reverted temporarily to her previous programming, but she'd saved a life, even if she'd needed to go through the process. She reminded her everything worked out in the end. Somehow it always seemed to.
Savannah wanted to take a more aggressive stance in the search for the Fanatic.
"I want us to track them on foot while you look for any blood drops on the ground." Savannah said. "They said he was shot."
Steve and Tom looked at each other.
It sounded very dangerous for Savannah to be so close to a wounded Fanatic.
"We can do it." Steve said.
Tom felt it would expose Savannah to greater danger.
"It won't be a problem if we do it." Tom said.
Savannah wanted Cammy and her to do it. She believed it was a long shot to actually find the Fanatic through the procedure. It would also double their search capability.
"I want to go with Cammy while your two continue to cruise around." Savannah said. "Cammy or I can boost a vehicle if we need one. What does the drone footage show?"
Cammy checked the drone results. She would prefer if Savannah remained in the SUV.
"The drones haven't picked up any unusual activity." Cammy said. "I think you should remain with the vehicle. For you to be out on foot is a bad idea."
Savannah thought it was their best shot for several reasons. Steve and Tom might be made as Terminators if they dealt with someone from the future. It was less likely Cammy would be. She wanted to stick with her plan.
"You know I'm still going to do it anyway." Savannah said.
Cammy tried to downplay the situation.
"The Fanatic has most likely fled the area." Cammy said.
Savannah decided to use Cammy's own words in her favor.
"If he's already gone, the risk should be minimal for me to be out with you." Savannah said.
Cammy didn't see that one coming. It was clear she wasn't pleased.
"Fine…." Cammy said. "We don't know anything for sure. They could still be around as well."
It was evident Cammy was upset.
Savannah noticed. She reached over and gave Cammy's leg a gentle squeeze.
"Thank you, Cammy." Savannah said. "We work well together as a team."
Cammy knew it was usually Cameron who Savannah was with when they went out. She pulled over to the side of the street a block in back of where the Fanatic's vehicle was previously parked.
Savannah and Cammy got out.
Tom took the wheel.
Cammy looked at Tom and Steve.
"I want you two to stay close." Cammy said. "Remain on the lookout and don't fixate on us. Follow the drone's recon and stay alert."
Steve and Tom felt they should be the ones out on foot. The 'Chosen One' had spoken.
"Affirmative…." They both said.
Savannah wanted them to continue to search the surrounding area.
"I want them to cruise around still." Savannah said. "They can rejoin us in short order if we need them. We still have drone support."
Cammy knew the altitude the drones needed to operate at in the daylight affected their effectiveness.
"The only support the drone can give us from high altitude is a missile." Cammy said. "We need to be away from the target if it's the case."
Savannah looked at Tom and Steve.
"Pick us back up when we call you." Savannah said. "Go take a further look around. "Cammy and I will be fine. You know we can take care of ourselves if we need to."
Steve and Tom reluctantly left.
Savannah felt she needed to make a point to Cammy.
"I appreciate the concern for me. There is a certain amount of risk involved with what we do." Savannah said. "I understand it, everyone else needs to do so as well and accept it."
It made Cammy think about Savannah's battered body with all the cuts, scrapes and bruises. Savannah received a lot of abuse and harsh environmental conditions.
"You know we all worry about you." Cammy said. "You know I worry about you."
Savannah didn't want it to turn into an issue.
"It's why you're with me now and not in the SUV." Savannah said. "Let's get started and don't make it look like we're looking."
Savannah knew the appearance of 'Cameron' and her seemed to be something the Fanatics recognized and feared. She hoped her appearance would spawn some type of reaction. If they were lucky and the Fanatic spotted them, he might kill himself and solve the problem for them. She also needed to keep in mind they didn't have any definitive proof which groups were involved with each other. Everything was currently speculation.
Cammy was sure Savannah wanted to use herself as 'bait' to see if the Fanatic would recognize either of them. She didn't mention it since their coms were live and they were being tracked. She was soon rewarded with a positive hit on the pavement.
"I've spotted one drop of blood so far." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted to know what Cammy could tell by what was in the blood.
"Can you analyze it for toxins of the future?" Savannah asked.
Cammy could to an extent.
"I can but it's dried." Cammy said. "I will wait for later on to do it. I think if anyone is watching us, it might look suspicious to them."
Savannah resisted the urge to look around. It was a worrisome thought they might be under observation.
"Do you think anyone is watching us?" Savannah asked.
Cammy casually looked around.
"I don't know." Cammy said.
Savannah hoped the drone over them searched everything on the ground.
Cam exited out of the drive through from the 'clown in the box' fast food joint.
She'd paid the bill and told the cashier to keep the change.
Cam handed Vanna two bags of food items.
Allison wanted to make sure everything was there.
"Did we get everything?" Allison asked.
Vanna looked through the bags.
"I'm checking." Vanna said.
Allison experienced trouble from fast food places before.
"We should have checked before we drove away." Allison said. "I don't want them to gyp us."
Cam tilted her head slightly at Allison's use of the word 'gyp'. She quickly referenced the meaning. The term 'gyp' derived from the word 'Gypsy'. It was a derogatory name for the Romani people, also known as the Roma. They were usually thought of as smugglers, cheaters and swindlers wherever they went. It was believed the Roma originated in northern India and migrated around the world, particularly in Europe, over the course of the last fifteen hundred years.
She reflected there were other groups, usually based on religion, which were despised universally around the world as well. She thought part of the problem was they confused religion with race. There was a big difference in reality.
Vanna noticed Cam's concern over the term Allison used.
"It's just a slang name for someone being cheated." Vanna said.
Cam glanced back at Vanna. She didn't want to wait with a possible Fanatic or the anti-Metal group lurking around. If it turned out the girls had been cheated, she would return to the establishment later on and take her tip back from the cashier. She would probably also destroy the establishment so they couldn't 'gyp' anyone else. Right now her main concern was elsewhere.
"I want to get both of you back to safety." Cam said.
Vanna touched Cam to calm her down some.
"We're with you." Vanna said. "It means we're as safe as is possible. It looks like everything is here in the bags. There's nothing to worry about."
Cam thought they would be safer in a bunker with the door closed.
Allison took one of the bags from Vanna. She opened it and tried one of the items.
"This is good." Allison said. "Try a bite."
Allison held a 'hash brown stick' for Vanna to take a bite. She did.
"It is good." Vanna said.
Allison held it up in front of Cam's face.
"Try a bite." Allison said.
Cam took a very small taste. Immediately several warnings popped up on her HUD about sodium and fat. It wasn't unusual for most of the foods she'd tasted. Excessive sugar seemed to be another red flag which often was indicated. It appeared the human body could take more abuse than it looked like. She knew the girls would like what they'd chosen. There was no need to say anything and create a problem or any tension. They were going to consume it anyway.
"It's acceptable." Cam said.
Cam watched in her mirror as Allison and Vanna playfully interacted with each other in the back seat. It was clear they were meant for each other. Love making was only a part of their relationship. It was much deeper than that, or even the sex they shared with the other girls or machines.
She could see it was a level of interaction no Terminator would ever be able to truly experience with them. They might be able to emulate some of it, but it wouldn't be genuine like she could see the girls were able to share with each other. As much as she feared their interaction on a personal level, she believed it was true beauty.
Allison really liked the taste. She wanted to modify Cam's response.
"It's not acceptable." Allison said. "It's good."
Vanna needed to agree with her. In the future, they'd needed to eat some real crap to stay alive. She didn't even want to think about what some of the items were.
"I agree." Vanna said. "You don't know what it was like to eat some of the things we needed to eat."
The thought made Allison cringe some.
"That's if we even could find garbage to eat." Allison said.
Allison could see a coldness sweep over Vanna. She knew Vanna started to think about the other things that happened in the Wastelands and Scavenger camps.
Allison kissed Vanna's cheek.
It seemed to snap Vanna out of it.
"It's behind us now." Allison said. "That was then, this is now."
Vanna looked at Allison and smiled. She touched Allison's belly. There was something else she looked forward to. She was pleased she would be able to nurse their baby once Allison delivered it. Both of them would be able to share the same closeness with the infant as it grew.
"You're right. We'll be parents soon." Vanna said.
Cam knew they could be at any time because of Savannah and Claire. She doubted it would be from Allison herself. It seemed no one talked about it anymore. Allison experienced more than a few of failures over the years. Vanna did as well. Vanna said she couldn't kill anymore of her children by conceiving them and having them die, inside her, within a month or two.
Allison looked at Vanna. She wanted to reaffirm their bond. As much as Vanna looked forward to sharing her baby, she looked forward to Vanna's help in raising it. She didn't think she would make a good mother on her own.
"I'll need your help with OUR baby." Allison said.
Vanna and Allison shared a long look with each other. They moved forward and shared a deep kiss. It was a way to reaffirm their commitment to each other. No matter what else happened, or who they were with, they would always be together, even when they were apart.
Cam thought maybe they needed something different to think about.
"The ship has docked in San Diego." Cam said. "We can drive down and see them or fly down there. I think it would make a good day trip."
It didn't seem like a big deal to Allison.
"They just left." Allison said. "They don't want to see us."
Vanna didn't feel she could leave. There was something important she needed to tend to.
"I need to stay with Precious." Vanna said. "I've probably been gone too long already."
Cam thought Samantha could tend to Precious for a day.
"Samantha can watch her." Cam said. "It's her function. You have provided her with what she needs to nourish Precious."
Vanna was a little concerned about it. She'd also made a promise to Riley about her care for Precious. She figured she better find out what was happening, and do what she'd promised.
"Has Samantha needed to feed Precious yet?" Vanna asked. "We should be back soon. We're going to be back sooner than anticipated anyway by skipping the pancake house."
Cam contacted John Henry to see if he knew. He sent her an image. She tilted her head slightly and looked at it several times. She forwarded it to Vanna and Allison.
"Check your phones." Cam said.
Allison was digging through the food and feeding Vanna.
"My hands are greasy." Allison said.
Vanna took out her phone.
"I've got it." Vanna said.
They both looked at the image from the commissary. It appeared Samantha was nursing Precious.
Allison and Vanna looked at each other.
"Is that possible?" Allison asked.
Cam saw the image they viewed. It took her a moment to deduce what actually occurred.
"No. It's not what you think" Cam said. "She has a bottle there. It is between her breasts."
Allison still couldn't tell.
"It was hard to tell from the small image." Allison said.
Vanna was aware of Riley's frustration about her inability to nourish Precious on her own. She knew it was common in the future. It seemed Samantha came up with a new idea. She didn't see any reason why Riley couldn't do the same thing.
"It's a good experience for Precious. I think Riley should do it too." Vanna said. "It will seem as if Precious is being breast fed by her mother. It will keep her with 'a closeness' to her mother."
Allison tried to be funny.
"You mean if you have three breasts." Allison said as a joke.
Cam didn't know it was a joke.
"That's unnatural." Cam said. "I actually saw it in a movie once. I watched it with Bob. He liked the lead actor. I think they were on Mars."
The thought made Allison wonder about something.
"Could a Terminator have three breasts?" Allison asked.
Cam looked at Vanna and Allison. It seemed the thought disturbed her.
"It's unnatural." Cam said again.
Cam knew Terminators wanted to try to blend in. If their physical appearance was different, they would never be able to do so. They would actually be singled out and ridiculed for being different. She knew it was something humans did to each other, for some unknown reason, when someone was different. At some point, the true nature of what they actually were would come out and cause further panic.
Vanna was intrigued by the idea.
"We've done transplants before with sheath sections." Vanna said. "I think it's possible. The genetic code would need to be altered to keep it there. If nothing else it could be there for a while before it was absorbed and redistributed by the sheath."
Allison pictured what she could do if a female actually had three breasts. She could work on the center one with her mouth, while her hands worked on the other two. It could all happen at the same time.
"It would be HOT." Allison said.
Cam didn't want any part of it. She liked how she currently looked. She didn't want anything altered. She tried to direct their thoughts in what would probably be a more receptive direction.
"It would be easier to do it with Sheila's sheath. There is more room to work with." Cam said. "A smaller size to start with, would be more conducive to adding a third breast."
Allison learned through experience there wasn't anything Sheila wouldn't try to do or attempt if it was suggested. She'd actually watched her do quite a few wild things. She'd even shared in a few of them. She believed Sheila was the perfect candidate.
"I bet she would do it too." Allison said. "Can you picture it…."
Cam created an image in her processor. She found it quite stimulating. She thought it looked better than the actress in the film with the prosthetic.
"It actually does look Hot." Cam said. "I created an image. I'll download it for you the next time I plug in."
Allison thought of another idea for a female Terminator. She whispered something in Vanna's ear.
Cam overheard what Allison said. Now the new idea got her interest level up.
"It would be possible too. It would be very crowded down there, especially side by side." Cam said. "Gail would be most suitable for the alteration. I'm sure Jesse would be pleased to see it everyday. I'm sure she would think two would be better than one."
Allison tried not to giggle.
"It was just a thought." Allison said.
Cam looked at Vanna in her rear view mirror. She caught Vanna's gaze and held it. It was clear they both thought the same thing…. Both of those alterations would be Hot.
Vanna thought of a few things on her own and they involved a Liquid Metal Terminator. There were a multitude of possibilities which could be done to the appearance. Just thinking of them was beautiful….
She knew they could be changed throughout a love making session as well. A Liquid Metal Terminator would be able to take on any number of different appearances and alter them as desired by anyone else.
She could think of a dozen different possibilities and configurations. She knew they didn't all need to be female either. She might be willing to give some things a try if she was with someone who looked like Allison with male attributes. If it really was a Liquid Metal Terminator, there was no reason they couldn't have both male and female attributes simultaneously.
John Henry took the call from Cam. He was able to answer her question right away and sent her an image of Samantha with Precious. It's what he'd been looking at anyway.
He thought he'd better start paying more attention. His server was on top of things. They'd both been distracted earlier observing Young Allison and Anna in the pool. He understood John's fascination with the one movie better now. He started to watch it in his server.
John Henry stopped viewing Samantha in the commissary and the movie. He started to review his files with Mr. Ellison instead.
He wasn't sure if it helped any or not. He still couldn't help get the other images out of his mind. He didn't want to develop an obsession with anything.
Samantha learned Vanna would be back earlier than expected. She was given a heads up by John Henry. She hoped to be done before they returned. She didn't want to create an issue.
Precious looked like she was content so she burped her.
She decided to take Precious back to her room.
Samantha cleaned up and pushed Precious back in her carriage.
It gave her some time to reflect on how special human beings were. Not only could they create life, they could sustain it as well.
Al and Ed were now in the vicinity of Savannah and Cammy. They coordinated with Steve and Tom as they searched the area. They tried to make sure one team was always only a few minutes away from the girls.
Anna and Young Allison went over everything they'd received from CamNet. CamNet filtered out everything which seemed irrelevant.
Through the drone footage, they were able to watch Cammy and Savannah on foot as they searched for the blood trail. They were over four blocks now from where they'd started.
Anna could see things were a little more complicated now than they'd previously been.
"It's slowing Cammy down to look for the blood drops on the grass and dirt." Anna said. "It was easier for her on the concrete."
Young Allison looked at the drone footage. She tried to determine where an injured Fanatic would go.
"They've needed to double back twice." Young Allison said. "There's an area with trees and an apartment building for the next choice."
Anna tried to determine the Fanatic's next choice of action.
"I think he'll go to the apartment building." Anna said. "There's more of a chance of him acquiring transportation there."
Young Allison didn't know the extent of the Fanatic's injuries.
"If he goes into the trees, he will most likely die there." Young Allison said.
Anna figured as soon as Cammy found him, he would die anyway. She noticed Young Allison checked on a few other things as well.
"Cammy did report the blood trail is fresher now." Anna said. "I see you're also tracking the cruise ship groups."
Young Allison was pleased CamNet sent her the images.
"CamNet has provided me with a few things." Young Allison said. "Summer is at the zoo with Jan, Bob and Holly. Summer likes animals. She still has all the origami ones Bob made for her."
Anna looked at the images too. She wondered if Young Allison would like to be with her family.
"I saw it too. The others are all on board the USS Midway." Anna said. "Do you wish you were there with them?"
Young Allison didn't need to think about her answer. There were actually two places she would like to be right now.
"It would be a lie to say I didn't." Young Allison said. "I would rather be with Cammy and Savannah right now."
Anna would have preferred for the last statement to be a lie. She knew it wasn't.
"Cammy and Savannah can pick us up and we can join your family in San Diego." Anna said. "We can fly there in a helicopter. It won't take long at all."
Young Allison liked the idea. It didn't seem practical right now. They were in the middle of an operation they'd stumbled into.
"I know." Young Allison said. "We have a job to do first."
Anna wanted CamNet to send more Terminators to take over.
"There are others who can do the job." Anna said. "It doesn't always need to be Savannah."
Young Allison understood Savannah's sense of duty in Cameron's absence.
"Savannah feels it's her duty to take up the slack without Cameron there." Young Allison said. "She wants to stay on top of everything so Cameron isn't distracted. She doesn't want Cameron to leave the cruise early. I don't either."
Anna pointed out other options.
"Cammy and Cam are available." Anna said. "John Henry can do what you're doing and I can too."
Young Allison felt her sense of duty.
"I need to take up the slack for John being away." Young Allison said.
Anna came up with a good question.
"So Savannah is 'Cameron' and you're 'John'?" Anna asked.
Young Allison thought of some things she recently read and looked up on the internet.
"I'm sure THAT scenario will show up in our lives later on during 'roll play'." Young Allison said.
Anna tilted her head slightly.
"Fascinating…." Anna said.
Young Allison didn't want Anna to take it too seriously.
"It was a joke. I know what you meant." Young Allison said.
Anna smiled back at Young Allison.
"And I know what you meant." Anna said.
Young Allison began to feel everything was all part of a test to see how Savannah and her would do under pressure and semi-isolation. Would they fold or would they hold? She could see Savannah wanted to do her job as much as she wanted to do her own. Is it what they were doing, exactly what they were trained to do? It seemed like it to her.
Anna started to check to see if Young Allison did any internet searches on something 'new'. It was apparent she must have. She would need to inform Cameron but she wouldn't interfere. Cameron wanted the girls to 'learn' as much as they could about everything.
Young Allison pushed the thoughts of her family and the cruise ship to the back of her mind. Savannah, and the teams out, were her prime concern.
"Let's stick with the operation for now." Young Allison said.
Anna thought it was a good idea.
Summer, Jan, Holly and Bob arrived at the zoo.
Once they were at the zoo, they went to the VIP area. There was a golf cart waiting for them with an experienced guide. They would be taken to all the major attractions and some behind the scenes operations as well.
The guide introduced herself as Lilly. She spent a brief moment to look everyone over.
"I have instructions from the top to give you total access to everything." Lilly said. "I must say your children are beautiful."
Bob and Holly briefly glanced at each other. They were there as the girl's 'parents'.
Holly hoped Bob wouldn't answer with 'affirmative'."
"Thank you." Holly and Bob said.
Jan and Summer looked at each other but didn't say anything.
"The zoo appreciates your generous contribution." Lilly said.
Holly smiled at the thought.
"It was nothing." Holly said. "We like to help the animals."
CamNet contacted Holly right before they'd arrived at the zoo and informed her of what the situation would be there. Summer and Jan were to have the best experience possible. Earlier in the morning, CamNet made a donation of two million dollars to the zoo from some of the confiscated Cartel and Syndicate money.
"I take it your daughter's names are Cindy and Kate." Lilly said. "It was what the donation was dedicated to."
Summer smiled at the names: Cindy-Kate = Syndicate.
"Yes." Holly said. "The donation was made on their behalf."
Jan wanted to get started.
"I want to see the animals." Jan said.
Holly didn't want Jan to get ahead of herself.
"We will, sweetie." Holly said. "Lilly will start now."
They climbed into a six seat golf cart type vehicle and started out.
Jan looked over at Summer.
"Who are Cindy and Kate?" Jan whispered.
Summer wanted Jan to go with the flow.
"Those are our cover names." Summer whispered back. "Think of this as an infiltration mission. Don't blow our cover."
Things sounded like even more fun to Jan now.
"Cool." Jan whispered.
Lilly headed for the first enclosure.
Jan and Summer were very excited about the animals.
Bob and Holly were very worried about the animals.
Derek, Kyle and John were like kids in a candy store on the flight deck of the USS Midway.
It was a thrill for them to see all the different aircraft up close.
John still wanted to go on a flight with some of the planes in the Resistance Air Force that Cameron and CamNet controlled. He'd seen inside the hanger and been in the B-25, now he wanted to fly in it. Derek and Kyle both flew in it.
"There were a few propeller planes on the hanger deck." John said. "This is mostly jets and helicopters on the flight deck."
Derek was thrilled by all of it.
"I liked the Battle Of Midway exhibit on the hanger deck." Derek said.
John was aware Young Allison used lessons learned from the battle. She'd employed them in her defensive and offensive strategies before. They were things he may have read and forgotten. Young Allison studied everything and seemed to remember it all. She was truly dynamic. Cameron always pointed it out to him.
Claire could see everyone was having a good time. She looked around the flight deck and then up in the sky at the sun.
"I'm glad we have these sun hats on." Claire said. "If it wasn't for the cool sea breeze, it would be hot up here in the sun."
Hanna was instantly by her side. She offered her some water if she wanted any.
Gail did the same for Jesse.
Sheila and Ally booth paid attention to Riley since she was tired earlier. She seemed better now.
Sarah told everyone she was good before she ended up getting scanned.
Cameron tried to keep track of everyone and make sure no one paid them any extra attention. Dan and Frank were on the flight deck with them and also kept a close watch. They would have John Henry overload anyone's phone as soon as they were off the ship if they took a picture too close to the group.
Overall the group was very excited.
Jim monitored everything on the USS Midway and at the zoo. There were no problems there.
It was the operation Cammy and Savannah were on that bothered him. He was glad Cameron wasn't following the operation closely.
When she last checked, they were on their way to breakfast.
Now it was unclear what they faced. They were tracking a wounded Fanatic. About a half a dozen things could go wrong. It usually seemed if something could go wrong, it would. That was just for starters. One thing was for sure. This day was young and a lot always seemed to go down.
The Gray started the stake side flatbed truck. He drove out of the property. He was glad to see he didn't need to knock down the gate with the flatbed truck to get out to the street. As he passed the open gate, he could see it was off of its track. He was pretty sure the company would get it fixed as soon as possible once they realized their truck was missing.
He could go either left or right when he turned out onto the street. He decided to turn right. It was the direction he'd last seen the other vehicles headed. He didn't have any illusions he would find them. He didn't know if he would find one of the cars wrecked along the way.
He glanced over to his right as he passed the second building. His building was a couple of buildings behind where he currently was. The thick black smoke continued to billow into the air. He hadn't heard any more explosions since he'd been in the flatbed truck. He figured it was probably a good thing. He didn't want any of the firemen who responded to be injured because of his group or whoever attacked his building. He didn't really care about the individuals. He knew they were just people doing their job. He felt pretty much the same way about what he did.
The only reason he was in the past was because of the interference of the Resistance in his timeline. It seemed Skynet had defeated the Resistance fair and square. The humans who signed on to assist Skynet were rewarded handsomely. They were always provided with fresh captured females who would serve as 'comfort women' until they were sent into the work camps. They even had a few female Terminators who were programmed to serve as Metal Whores. They were actually the best. They didn't cry or resist unless they were told to do so.
The Resistance changed everything. They scored a series of victories under the leadership of John Connor. There were some reports there was actually a reprogrammed Metal Whore who ran everything in the Resistance. They didn't know if it was true or not. Skynet sent a few Terminators back in time to deal with them. He figured they must have been successful. He hadn't heard a single thing about the Connor Resistance in the past, the present, since he'd been there.
Strangely enough they encountered other groups of Gray's from a different timeline. He wasn't quite sure how it was possible. Then there were the nut jobs. They were actually Gray's sent back from a further future who worshiped their version of Skynet as a god. They called it SkyMaster. There were also some anti-Metal Resistance fighters from the future who hated anything related to Skynet. They didn't use any captured Skynet equipment, including Terminators. They destroyed everything they could find and considered anybody who used Skynet related equipment as a traitor. Each of the different groups tried to kill each other.
What he saw on the street before his building was blown up was proof of it. He was pretty sure it was three different groups in play. It didn't include his group either.
He needed to clear his mind. He needed to contact the rest of his group. So far his phone hadn't worked in hours. He'd left the other phones off when he stopped at his base of operations earlier. He wished he would have kept them, maybe one of them would work now.
The next cross street was right in front of him. He knew he should turn left or go straight. He couldn't help the urge to turn right and drive back on the street where he could look down where his building was when it crossed it. He made the turn. He wanted to see if there was anything else happening out in front. He really wondered where the fire trucks were at. So far he hadn't heard a single siren. His ears still rang from the explosions. He hoped his hearing hadn't been damaged. Maybe he couldn't hear the higher pitched sounds anymore.
The female Fanatic spotted a pickup truck parked between two of the buildings. She quickly moved up to it and checked the radiator for heat. There was none. She was able to open it and get it started. She quickly drove away from the building.
The smart thing to do would be to make a left hand turn and drive further away from the area. She couldn't resist the urge to turn right and turn back onto the street which would cross over the street where the burning building was at. She was curious to see what else transpired around there. She could pick up the additional weapons as well. She was in a different vehicle now. She didn't think it would raise anyone's concern if anyone was even there to spot her.
She would like to find another cell of SkyMaster followers. She really didn't know how to do it. It was the whole reason why they operated in cells. It was so no one person could bring down the entire group. She touched the phone in her pocket through her pants. There were a few more target locations she needed to check out. It's what she would do. She was there to make sure no one interfered with SkyMaster. There was much more opposition than they'd been led to believe they would face when they returned to the past.
The female Fanatic made the turn onto the street which would cross over the street where the burning building was at. She really wondered how inefficient the local fire department was. So far she hadn't heard a single siren. She's been pretty close to the explosion. She hoped her hearing had been damaged. Both of her ears still rang.
Hank and Larry would reluctantly leave the Gray behind and continue to loosely pursue the female Fanatic. The single drone they were left with would need to keep watch on both of them for as long as it could. CamNet wanted them to stick with the female Fanatic.
Hank was more than a little surprised about what developed.
"It appears they've both turned on to the same street and are headed towards each other." Hank said.
Larry thought it was highly odd as well.
"I don't think they can identify each other specifically." Larry said.
Hank felt both threats should be neutralized.
"Now is our chance to intervene and terminate everyone." Hank said.
CamNet contacted them again and told them they were to let both of them pass. They were to remain out of visual contact from both of them. If they were spotted by either individual, they were to acquire new transportation immediately.
Larry could see Hank was overly anxious.
"We need to let things play out a little longer." Larry said.
Hank felt they were needed elsewhere.
"We should be sent to assist Savannah and Cammy." Hank said.
Larry reiterated what they were told earlier.
"When it appears we're necessary, we're to drop everything and respond immediately." Larry said. "Until then, you know what our assignment is."
Hank and Larry watched the drone footage and waited to see what developed.
The Gray made his turn. He made it to the street his building was on. He looked down it. He was a little surprised at the carnage visible. There was debris all over the street. The burnout remains of his car was still on its side in the middle of the street. He quickly looked around him to make sure neither one of the other two vehicles was around there.
He was a little surprised to see a pickup truck turn on to the same street he was on. It was down three streets from where he currently was. He wondered if it was someone who came to take a look at the fire. He knew fires always generated a lot of 'lookiloos'. He wasn't really sure why. For anyone from the future, there were plenty of fires all of the time. Death and destruction was everywhere. He's already seen what he wanted to see.
The Gray figured the prudent move would be to make a left and turn off the street and avoid the pickup truck.
The female Fanatic was a little surprised to see a flatbed truck coming once she'd made her turn. It was still down a few streets.
She briefly wondered if it was one of the occupants from the three vehicles she'd observed before she took her van on its final run. There was a good chance all of the vehicles had been damaged by gunfire or from the explosion.
She saw the vehicle make a quick left turn and drive away from the area before she could approach it. She increased her speed slightly and reached the street the building was on. She looked to her right and could see the flatbed truck was actually a stake side truck. It would help her identify it later on. It was just going around the corner at the next street. She didn't believe the driver actually saw her.
She turned her head and looked in the other direction. The street was a mess. There was debris everywhere. There was the burnout remains of a vehicle on its side. She couldn't tell if it was the one she saw the Gray in. She figured it was. She quickly turned her head in the direction the flatbed truck went. She figured if he survived the explosion, he would need a new set of wheels. It could have been a 'lookiloo' as well.
The female Fanatic decided she would attempt to follow the flatbed truck and see what developed. She briefly thought about the weapons cache she'd left behind against the side of the building. She'd sped past the street to move up to see where the flatbed truck went. She still had her pistol and the extra magazines.
Hank and Larry knew the two vehicles were going to spot each other. It was exactly what happened.
"I think they just made each other." Hank said.
Larry noted the female Fanatic didn't go to her weapons cache. She hurried down the street to see where the flatbed truck went.
"She didn't retrieve any more weapons." Larry said. "We know she has at least one pistol."
Hank wasn't sure what weapons the Gray carried. He seemed to have quite a bit of trouble getting out of his vehicle on its side earlier.
"The Gray currently may be unarmed." Hank said.
Larry didn't think he was defenseless.
"He's currently driving a formidable weapon if he chooses to use it as such." Larry said.
Hank and Larry watched as the female Fanatic went in pursuit of the flatbed truck.
Generous Contribution
When there's more than one
It will lead to dilution
Sooner rather than later
It will lead to retribution
To believe any other way
Is just a convolution
It does little to stave off
The relationship's execution
Too many people involved
Isn't the root of evolution
It's the cause of unnecessary strife
It's a form of spiritual pollution
It's time to grow up
No one wants a substitution
It's wrong in every way
Work on a real solution
Go with what the heart says
It won't cause an inner revolution
When two people share together
There will be a generous contribution
Nobody
