Chapter 1290
Crimson Flowers
Cammy and Savannah heard enough from inside the building. It was time to act. They cut their coms and body cams. If these were Fanatics, Cammy didn't want anything 'bad' broadcast about Savannah.
Savannah still didn't think it was her the Fanatics were afraid of. It seemed to be some type of Liquid Metal Terminator or some other variation. Since it was from a further future, they didn't really know. Whether she'd been 'absorbed' by it or not, there was no way to know. She really didn't think an enemy of the Fanatics, was an enemy of the Resistance.
It was 'go time'.
Cammy made her move. She kicked in the back door. Savannah and her went inside. They weren't sure what they were about to find.
She intended to operate in her full Terminator capacity to do what she was constructed for. It was to terminate.
Cammy entered through the door first. She spotted four men attacking the female. They were laughing now. The nurse didn't move or resist. The nurse appeared to be incapacitated or dead. She fired eight shots at the four men. It happened in just over a second. She saw all of her targets fall.
Savannah followed Cammy in. It was her job to watch the left side and cover their rear. She wasn't even all of the way into the building yet when she heard Cammy's silenced M9 cough out death. The shots were so fast, it almost sounded like full auto.
She was in the building now. She checked the left side. She spotted one target lying on a table. He'd just started to move when she shot him. It appeared to be the man the nurse treated earlier. His shirt was off and he was bandaged. Two 'crimson flowers' blossomed on his chest. He dropped back down onto the table.
Cammy glanced over to her left to see the man on the table started to sit up. She heard Savannah fire from behind her. He took two rounds to the chest and went down.
She didn't see any other immediate targets. It didn't mean there weren't any. She didn't look back at Savannah when she spoke.
"Check the female." Cammy said. "I'm going to search the building."
Cammy moved through the building as she searched for any additional targets.
Savannah took one quick look around to see if there was any additional threat, none was spotted. She looked at the female. She lay motionless on the floor.
"Damn." Savannah said.
She looked at the nurse. Her top was ripped open and her bra was pushed up, exposing her firm breasts. There was some blood on her smooth brown skin. She didn't spot a visible wound or more blood coming out from anywhere. It didn't appear to be her blood. It could be.
Savannah touched her neck for a pulse.
Cammy finished her quick look around. She didn't want to startle Savannah as she returned. She issued a warning as she approached.
"The building is clear." Cammy said in the distance. "I'm coming back."
Cammy re-entered the room. She could see the female was motionless.
"How is she?" Cammy asked. "Are we too late?"
Savannah sure hoped not. The nurse was still breathing.
"She's alive." Savannah said. "I don't know why she's out or what they did to her."
Cammy saw one spot of the female's face was slightly discolored. She looked at one of the dead men. There were four bloody furrows along what was left of one side of his face. She looked at the female's right hand and there was bloody tissue under her fingernails.
Savannah watched what Cammy checked. It was clear the female resisted in every way she could. She was a fighter.
"I think she scratched him and he decked her." Savannah said. "She tore his face up pretty good."
Cammy looked at another man.
"She got him too." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted to get the nurse out of there before she regained consciousness.
"Let's get her away from here." Savannah said.
There were two cars parked inside the building. One belonged to the nurse.
"I'll put her in her car." Cammy said.
Cammy picked the nurse up and headed for her car.
Savannah started to check the men for ID and phones.
Cammy returned. She wanted Savannah to leave everything for now. Steve and Tom were almost to the location.
"Steve and Tom can finish up here. They can deactivate the phones and torch this place." Cammy said. "I don't know what they did in here. There are no computers. I don't see anything Skynet related. They'll need to search this place further."
Cammy handed Savannah the keys for the woman's car. She headed for the roll up door and opened it.
Savannah went to the car and checked the nurse. She climbed in the driver's seat and started the car.
Cammy signaled it was clear.
Savannah drove outside the building and Cammy closed the roll up door.
There was no way to know who actually controlled the building and if there were any more up their group on the way there right now.
Young Allison and Anna watched Cammy make her move and kick in the back door. Cammy and Savannah went inside.
"This is the worst part." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't like it because their coms and body cams were off. She checked on the ETA of Steve and Tom.
"Steve and Tom are just over two minutes out." Anna said.
In just another minute, they saw there was some activity.
They both watched as the drone footage showed the roll up door open.
"Something's happening." Young Allison said.
They watched a car back out of the building and the roll up door close.
The drone footage zoomed in to show Savannah behind the wheel.
Anna was able to identify the vehicle.
"Savannah's out." Anna said. "It's the female's car."
Cammy emerged out of the door they'd entered from. Savannah backed the car up to her. They saw Cammy get in the back.
Their coms and body cams were turned back on.
The footage from Cammy's body cam came on.
"I see the nurse." Young Allison said. "She only has a bra on."
Anna was surprised she even still possessed it. One of the girls could have put it back on her. She stated the obvious.
"She may have been abused." Anna said.
They could both see she wasn't moving.
They heard Cammy speak.
"What's the ETA on Steve and Tom?" Cammy asked.
John Henry watched everything too. He timed their arrival.
"It's just under one minute." John Henry said.
Cammy closed the roll up door and hurried outside to the vehicle as Savannah backed up to where she was at. She climbed in the back with the female. She wanted to restore things back to normal operations.
"Turn your com and body cam on." Cammy said.
Cammy checked over the female. Her vital signs were strong.
"What's the ETA on Steve and Tom?" Cammy asked.
John Henry responded immediately.
"It's just under one minute." John Henry said.
Cammy made her assessment of the situation and what happened inside the building. She wanted to give a preliminary report.
"There are five down inside the building. They've all been terminated." Cammy said. "I believe these were Grays and not Fanatics."
John Henry wondered why they hadn't departed the area. The nurse's vehicle was still sitting there.
"What are you waiting for?" John Henry asked. "You haven't left yet."
Savannah wanted Steve or Tom to retrieve their SUV. She also didn't want to leave the scene before they arrived and have someone else slip in between their two teams. It could prove disastrous for Steve and Tom if they expected an empty building, and it wasn't.
"We're waiting for Steve and Tom." Savannah said. "One of them will need to drive our SUV to pick us up."
Savannah looked back at Cammy.
"How is she?" Savannah asked.
Cammy examined the female. She was afraid she took a page out of Sheila's playbook and 'examined' her a little more thoroughly than she should have. She liked the size and feel of her breasts. She'd checked elsewhere to see if she'd been abused previous to their arrival. She hadn't.
"She's alive." Cammy said. "I don't detect anything broken. The abuse didn't go very far."
She hoped there were no internal injuries. She didn't know how severely she'd been beaten. They could have kicked her when she was down on the ground as well.
Steve and Tom listened to the reports come in.
They were thirty seconds from the location.
"It sounds like we'll get the clean up duty." Tom said.
Steve hoped to just burn the building. It would destroy the evidence as well.
"Maybe we can torch the place." Steve said.
Steve turned onto the street.
"I see the building." Tom said.
They looked for Cammy and Savannah.
"We're almost there." Steve said.
They turned into the parking lot behind the building.
"There they are." Tom said.
Steve and Tom both felt relieved to see Cammy and Savannah were OK. They knew they were from the report, it just made them feel a little less worried to actually see them.
John Henry felt relieved to see Cammy and Savannah were OK.
He needed to focus on the other operation.
The man the teams were after, left the other location on foot.
John Henry saw Steve and Tom arrive where Savannah and Cammy were.
He concentrated on the fleeing man.
Cammy gave Steve and Tom the location of their SUV and a quick rundown on what she did and saw inside. She wanted to get the nurse's car away from the incident scene. She didn't want it discovered later on and tied in with what just happened. She wanted a better plan.
Steve and Tom said they would take over.
Cammy wanted to get moving.
"Let's go." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted to make sure Steve and Tom were covered.
"I want a drone left with Steve and Tom." Savannah said.
It was already taken care of.
"There are two of them, one for each of you." John Henry said.
Savannah wanted everyone covered. She didn't want things to change once they were out of the area. She felt there was still more in play they hadn't discovered yet. There was no way to know who else the Grays notified about anything.
"Make sure it stays the same way." Savannah said. "I don't want anyone left uncovered by a drone."
John Henry wasn't so sure about his latest info from CamNet.
"I've been informed by CamNet if anyone unknown approaches the location, they will be hit with a missile." John Henry said.
Savannah knew it was Young Allison's doing. After what almost happened to the nurse, she was OK with it. If there were other players still out there, she wanted them brought down. Steve and Tom weren't the only ones she was worried about.
"It's fine." Savannah said. "What about the other two teams?"
Savannah's response surprised him a little. He was sure it was because of the condition of the nurse. They hadn't reported she'd been abused. It didn't mean she hadn't been. He understood it was something no one would want to talk about or discuss. He updated them and urged them to distance themselves from the location. There was no need for them to worry about the other two teams.
"I'm directing them as necessary." John Henry said. "Concentrate on the female and get out of the area."
Cammy looked around the back seat.
There was a lot of blood on the one side of the seat and floor.
She reached behind the rear seat and found a sweater. She put it on the nurse.
Savannah watched Cammy do an act of decency and compassion on her own. It pleased her immensely.
"Thank you for covering her." Savannah said. "I think she's going to be highly traumatized enough as it is. She doesn't need to feel like she's naked as well."
Savannah wouldn't want to be seen by strangers with only her bra on. It was probably one of the same reasons she felt uncomfortable about wearing a bikini. Somehow it was even worse since there was even less material. The bottoms were any better on a bikini. There was less material there too than her underwear.
Cammy smiled at Savannah. She was a little concerned about what would happen going forward.
"I think she'll come around soon." Cammy said. "She may see us."
Savannah wondered about the choices available to them. She didn't want the nurse to die. They would get her medical assistance if it was needed.
"Do we need to take her to the hospital?" Savannah asked.
Cammy didn't know if there was any internal bleeding. She used her fingernail and cleaned the bloody flesh from under the fingernails of the nurse.
"I don't believe so." Cammy said. "They never removed her pants. I didn't detect any indication she'd been abused prior to our arrival. We came in right when they'd started. Thank you for pushing me to act. They were going to savage her repeatedly. I heard them talking as I terminated them."
Cammy actually heard them talk about how they were going to mutilate the nurse for scratching the two men. They wanted her awake when they started. It wasn't going to be pretty. It sounded like one of Vanna's or Jesse's stories right out of what they'd witnessed in a Scavenger camp with their own eyes. They were going to make sure she saw everything they cut off of her as they did it. She didn't think she should share anything so specific with the others. She didn't want those thoughts in their minds.
Savannah was satisfied with the results.
"It was the right thing to do." Savannah said.
Savannah now began to wonder what exactly they were going to do with the nurse. She would still take her to a hospital if it was determined she needed more extensive medical care. Cammy could only detect so much by examining her externally. If blood started to come out of her mouth, nose, ears, eyes or anywhere else, she was going to the nearest hospital.
She wasn't really sure what kind of a cover story they could use. If they just dumped her off and left, she may not get immediate treatment. If they said she fell or was hit by a car, they would probably be upset they'd moved her. She figured they'd cross that bridge when they came to it. If nothing else, she would have Cammy carry her inside and then just leave. She would have John Henry disabled their security system so there would be no visual record of what actually occurred.
Young Allison watched the other operation and listened to Savannah and Cammy.
"Thank you for pushing me to act." Cammy said. "They were going to savage her repeatedly. I heard them talking as I terminated them."
Savannah's response didn't surprise her.
"It was the right thing to do." Savannah said.
Anna looked at Young Allison.
Young Allison thought about her earlier stance. It was to wait and not act immediately.
"Don't say it." Young Allison said.
Young Allison saw the compassion from both Savannah and Cammy. She was a little surprised to see Cammy look around and then put the sweater on the nurse to help cover her up.
Anna was pleased to see Cammy's actions.
"Cammy learned the behavior from Savannah." Anna said.
Young Allison still believed in her earlier statements.
"I suppose I will as well." Young Allison said.
Anna believed Young Allison would make the right choice when called up to do so. Young Allison would feel empathy for the afflicted.
"You'll know what the right thing to do will be when you're faced with a situation like it on your own." Anna said. "I think actually being there makes a difference. Here we're somewhat detached from everything. Where they were at, they could hear everything firsthand."
Young Allison figured it was just a matter of time. She looked forward to being tested. She was in no big hurry to get there. When the time came, it came.
"We'll see." Young Allison said.
Young Allison realized how close the nurse was to being abused. It would have affected the nurse's life, like it did the girls from the future. She was given a reprieve, at least until Skynet blew up the world. If the nurse survived, there were worse things which could happen.
Savannah felt they were far enough away from the danger zone.
Cammy determined they didn't need to get the nurse any medical assistance.
Savannah wasn't sure what their next move should be.
"What do you want to do with her?" Savannah asked.
Cammy was unsure what to do. She'd held the nurse in her arms and gently stroked her face as Savannah drove. She didn't realize it was much the same thing as she'd done with the puppy she'd recently held. She felt a sense of responsibility for the nurse's well being. She didn't want to abandon her.
"I don't want to just leave her and go." Cammy said.
Savannah didn't either. She felt they needed to offer some type of closure for the nurse. The trick would be how to do it and not make the situation worse.
"Maybe we can blindfold her." Savannah said. "I'd really hate to do it. It might further traumatize her."
Cammy didn't like the idea either. She remembered how the nurse fought to protect herself from being abused. She looked down at her hands.
"I would have to bind her hands too." Cammy said. "I can choke her out maybe."
Savannah thought she liked Cammy's idea even less. She checked her surroundings. She was aware of where they were at.
"We're still some distance from her apartment." Savannah said. "The Gray made her drive there. It was probably done at gunpoint. She may or may not remember where she was forced to go."
Cammy was concerned about it as well. There were a few precautions they could take.
"Maybe I should have Steve and Tom torch the place." Cammy said.
It didn't seem like the proper thing to do right now to Savannah.
"I'm worried it would pinpoint the location for sure." Savannah said. "She may have been too traumatized to pay attention to details. She might have responded to commands for what direction to turn as the streets came up."
Cammy looked at the interior of the car. There was too much blood to clean up.
"We need to dump this car too." Cammy said.
Savannah knew people needed to work for the things they owned. She tried to make sure everything the Resistance and specifically the Terminators did, was paid for.
"They probably have insurance. It never covers everything." Savannah said. "I want CamNet to make it right. I'm authorizing whatever steps are necessary to do it."
Cammy was a little surprised at the instant response she received from CamNet.
"I've just received a message from CamNet. Everything will be taken care of." Cammy said.
Savannah was surprised too. There was no reason the Syndicate or Cartel couldn't spring for the tab. CamNet confiscated most of their money anyway.
"It was a very fast response." Savannah said. "I'd like to thank CamNet and anyone else involved."
Savannah figured Young Allison already started the process.
John Henry tracked the other man.
The other man abandoned his vehicle after it became disabled. It most likely ran out of fuel. He'd looked over towards a car wash nearby but decided against taking one of the vehicles. He continued down the street in search of another vehicle. As he neared the next corner, a city bus approached.
Much to John Henry's surprise, the man got onto the bus.
"The man we're tracking is now on a bus. It's headed in the same direction he previously was headed." John Henry said.
Cameron's Terminators grew weary of the chase. They wanted to conclude the operation.
"We'll board it and terminate him." Richard said.
John Henry wasn't surprised when CamNet contacted him with new instructions.
"No. It is a negative on the termination for now." John Henry said.
John Henry started to receive footage from inside the bus. There were two good camera views. He could see all the people fooling with their phones. They were all in a dead zone for now. John Henry made sure of it as the bus lumbered along making its stops.
The two teams of Terminators loosely trailed the bus. There was a drone overhead and the footage from inside the bus itself to keep track of the man and what he did. If he was going to get off, he would be observed instantly.
Young Allison did show some empathy.
She'd instructed Anna to have CamNet 'take care of things' for the nurse, including a replacement vehicle. It was before Savannah said anything.
Young Allison also made sure CamNet and John Henry blocked everything communication wise on the bus. It was so the man they were after didn't try to take a phone from someone else because his didn't function. It was clear no one's phone functioned.
She checked on the route the bus was on.
"I don't think he took the bus for its destination. He only got on to get away from where he was at. He got on because it was there." Young Allison said. "Maybe he wanted to see if anyone attempted to follow him. No one else got on the bus when he did."
Anna watched to see how he paid or even if he'd paid at all.
"I checked the surveillance footage. He paid with a five dollar bill. His payment was almost three times the normal fare." Anna said. "No change is given on the bus."
His actions only further proved he got on the bus, just to get on the bus.
Young Allison was still very worried he would try and take a phone from one of the other passengers.
"It was probably the smallest bill he carried." Young Allison said. "See if he takes anything from anyone."
Young Allison was more worried he would take someone when he got off as a hostage or to take them to their dwelling. There were a few elderly people on the bus. She figured they would be the easiest to control. There were also a few younger women on the bus. They could end up as a mark as well.
They still didn't know who the man was or what his intentions were. What they did want to know, is what his destination would be. There would be a group of Terminators paying the location a visit soon afterwards.
John Henry knew what the route of the bus was. They wanted to make some contingency plans to be able to tail the man in either direction when he got off of the bus. He was able to get Richard and Michael in front of the bus. Al and Ed were behind it. The passenger in each of the pursuit vehicles was ready to bail out and go after him on a moment's notice.
"This guy better lead us somewhere." Al said.
Ed wanted to push it some.
"Maybe I should get on the bus too." Ed said.
John Henry didn't want the issue forced. The man should be armed with a pistol at least. There was the possibility he might have some explosives.
"Everyone needs to stay in position for now." John Henry said. "We don't need to rush this."
John Henry was worried because they still didn't know which group the man was from. If he carried some kind of bomb with him and detonated it, he could kill a dozen people. There wouldn't be any way to cover something of that nature up.
They'd already run into enough trouble with what happened so far.
Steve and Tom went through the building to check if there was anything to see. They'd only found the phones Savannah collected. They came to the same conclusion Cammy did about the location. There was nothing of significance or value they could spot. There was nothing Skynet related or even future related observable to them.
"Why were the Grays even here?" Steve asked.
Tom wondered the same thing.
"I don't know." Tom said. "They were obviously here for something."
They loaded the five bodies in the back of the SUV parked inside the building. It was a vehicle the Grays used for their own transportation.
"What are we supposed to do with this mess?" Steve asked.
Tom felt the logical choice was to torch the building.
"The normal procedure would be to destroy the structure and its contents." Tom said.
John Henry didn't want them to jump the gun.
"Savannah doesn't want the building burned yet." John Henry said.
Steve looked at Tom.
"We need one more driver." Steve said.
Cam watched Vanna tend to Precious while she followed up on the operations on her phone.
Vanna could see Cam seemed concerned.
"Do you want to go to the Command Center?" Vanna asked.
Cam tried to downplay everything.
"I'm good." Cam said.
Vanna hated to tie Cam up.
"I'll stay here with Precious if you want to go out." Vanna said.
Cam wanted to do something.
"I think I will for a few minutes." Cam said.
Cam left the room.
Vanna took out her phone and started to check to see what was really happening. She could tell everyone was hesitant to talk about it.
Allison turned all the lights on in Jesse's room.
Samantha looked around and wondered why.
"Is there some special occasion?" Samantha asked.
Allison wanted to take a good look at 'everything' on Samantha.
"There would be if Cam was here." Allison said.
No sooner than Allison spoke, than there was a soft knock on the door.
Both Samantha and her were naked.
She figured it was Vanna or Cam. Either one was fine with her.
"Come in." Allison said.
Right after she said it, she thought it could be John Henry too.
It was too late, the door opened.
Cam walked in.
It was just who Allison wanted to see.
"Do you have a few minutes?" Allison asked.
Once Cam saw both of them were naked, she decided she did have a few minutes.
"Yes." Cam said.
Allison wasn't sure how to say what she wanted to do. It was her one chance to see how she compared to her mother in every detail. She wanted to see why her mother was 'better' than her.
"I want to ask something of both of you for my own personal reasons." Allison said. "I don't want anyone to know I did what I want to do. It's only if you both want to do it. I don't want to make anyone feel like I'm pressuring them. It's strictly for educational purposes. It will only take a few minutes. You both need to be naked."
Cam didn't have a problem with it. She figured what Allison was after. She'd actually done it with Cammy and Allison side by side in bed before. Cammy's sheath was identical to her sheath. Cam wanted to know how she compared to the 'real thing'. She was very pleased to see she was identical. She wanted to give Allison some peace of mind, if it was really necessary.
"We can erase five minutes of our time afterward." Cam said. "I will anyway."
Cam quickly stripped.
Samantha was a little self conscious of what Allison wanted. She wanted to know how she stacked up to the 'Allison based' Terminators. Indirectly it would also be how she would compare to 'Cameron'. She was aware of what Cameron wanted for John. It would also be an indication of what John would have a choice over. Would he choose Claire over Allison? What if it was Claire over Young Allison?
"I will as well." Samantha said.
Allison figured to just say it and do it since they both agreed to erase what she wanted to see and do. She wanted to do some 'extensive research'. It wouldn't just be visual either.
"Start the erase point now." Allison said. "This is what I want to know…."
Cammy could tell the nurse was very close to coming around.
"She's going to wake up soon." Cammy said. "I don't want her to see us."
Savannah didn't want to further hurt the nurse.
"We'll deal with it." Savannah said.
Cammy could see a potential problem there. She wanted Samantha to remember the nurse was an outsider.
"I don't want her to identify us." Cammy said.
Savannah considered the blindfold option again.
"Blindfold her if we need to." Savannah said. "She's suffered enough."
Savannah wondered what they were going to do when they got the nurse back to her apartment. Someone was bound to see them if they carried her to her room. It would look even worse if they led her blindfolded and with her hands tied behind her back.
Savannah looked in her rear view mirror.
Cammy noticed but didn't turn around.
"Do we have a tail?" Cammy asked.
Savannah checked again.
"I'm not sure." Savannah said. "A car just made the same two turns we did."
Cammy knew there was a drone watching over them.
"If it becomes a threat, the drone will fire a missile at it." Cammy said.
Savannah hoped it didn't become a threat then. They didn't need a missile strike on a city street. There was bound to be a lot of collateral damage. There would also be more questions raised. She checked back again.
"The car just turned into the burger joint we passed." Savannah said.
Cammy looked back at this point. She was satisfied when another car pulled in back of the first car at the drive-thru. It wasn't going anywhere for a few minutes.
Once Cam and Samantha both set a restore point, Allison laid out what she wanted to do.
"I want to compare 'everything' on both of you side by side with your sheaths. I mean 'everything' too. It includes the outside and the inside." Allison said. "That's if you don't mind."
Samantha and Cam looked at each other, as they both tilted their heads slightly. They understood the real purpose of the request.
"You want to see how you compare to your mother." Cam said.
Allison was very curious as to why her mother was 'better' than her.
"I do." Allison said. "I need you both to make sure you erase this too. I feel embarrassed even asking. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable with my request."
They both agreed again.
Allison looked at the shape of their figures as they faced her. They both turned and faced away from her. She looked at and felt their breasts and other parts of their bodies.
"Now the money shot." Allison said.
Cam and Samantha both lay side by side on the bed. Savannah observed them up close in a natural condition.
"It's time for the details. You both know what to do next." Allison said.
They did.
Allison did a close up inspection. She took it a little further to see how everything compared.
She'd seen and touched enough.
Everything about her 'mother's body', as displayed by Samantha, was superior. It was firmer, better proportioned, better pigmentation through a lack of it, tighter, and nicer looking.
Allison was convinced every detail on her mother's body, as compared through Cam and Samantha, was better than on her body.
No wonder her mother was such a hit. They all said her mother was more driven and had more passion and feeling. She hoped Young Allison could learn the last few things. It was her upbringing in the Wastelands which robbed her of the passion and feeling her mother shared with others. She was also happy Summer would be prettier than she was. Metal Summer was a total knockout.
"I've seen enough. You can conduct the erasure now." Allison said.
Cam and Samantha did.
They weren't sure what happened previously. They figured they knew what was about to happen since all three of them were naked.
It did.
The female Fanatic needed to get moving. She ran towards her vehicle. She looked behind her as she ran from the three homeless men she'd just killed. She looked down at her clothing to see how much blood was on her. Both of her hands were covered in blood as were spots on her shirt and pants. She was going to need new clothing if she was going to be seen in public.
She watched the flatbed drive away from the homeless camp. She looked around to see if there were any other people in the park yet. She spotted someone on the far side with a dog. She figured they would be more concerned about the animal than anything else.
Another car started to turn off of the street into the parking lot. She reached her vehicle before the other car completed its turn. She quickly got inside before they could take a look at her. She started the car and drove out of the parking lot. She needed to try to catch the flatbed truck.
When the Gray was in the tent, she'd spent some time looking at the satellite photos of the area. She wanted to map out in her head where her other targets were located and the best ways to approach them. She also looked at the streets around where she was at in the park. She saw there was a wash. It cut diagonally through the area. It forced the streets to come out at two different locations because there weren't any bridges over the section of the flood control channel located there.
It would be faster if she didn't actually attempt to follow behind the flatbed truck. She believed she could save a couple of minutes if she stayed on the main street. She figured the only way she could miss the flatbed truck was if he turned around and came back out the direction he entered from. It seems highly unlikely to her. She believed he would follow the streets as each one was forced to turn back towards the main street.
There was no sign of the flatbed as she reached the location she wanted. She hoped she hadn't just outsmarted herself.
The Gray drove the flatbed towards the location known as 'Tango'. He wasn't familiar with the street he was on. He thought about turning around and going back the way he'd come in. Because he'd heard the gunshot earlier, he decided not to. He didn't know what the dispute was about and he didn't want to get involved or clocked as a witness.
He did look back in the rear view mirror to see if he could see the skinny female. There was no sign of her. He needed to push the thoughts from his mind. She was a nobody and would be dead in a couple of years, if she even survived that long.
The street started to curve to the left. There were no streets to the right. There were only buildings. He wasn't sure if there was a set of railroad tracks on the right side or what it was. He looked at the gap between two buildings and saw an open empty space. He figured it was one of the flood control channels. He decided to stay on the street and follow it around. It would eventually let him off at one of the big streets. It shouldn't be too far.
He was really pleased with the time he spent with the females. He was glad he'd collected all the cash from his fallen associates. He never would have been as generous otherwise. He could see cross traffic up ahead after the street curved a little more.
The Gray pulled up to a stop sign and waited for a city bus to go by. It was clear behind the bus. He pulled out and made a right. He was headed towards their other location known as 'Tango'.
Hank and Larry wanted to act. They'd watched the female Fanatic take down the three homeless men and run towards her vehicle. They watched the flatbed truck pull away from the curb and leave the homeless camp behind. Right now they were in limbo as to what they would need to do next.
There were other developments going on with Cammy and Savannah. It appeared they were going to need some assistance. They were the next closest group who weren't currently involved in an active Resistance operation. What they were involved with was basically an 'off the books' operation for CamNet.
The drone followed the female Fanatic. It made wide enough orbits to keep track of the Gray as well. They were both headed on an intercept course. They tagged along behind out of visual sight of the female Fanatic.
CamNet wanted to have some more flexibility. There were more male Terminators she could channel towards the area. She would do it as necessary. Larry and Hank were going to need to deviate for a time. Savannah came first, Cammy too.
She also wanted to have some more flexibility. There weren't any other female Terminators working for Cameron or her other than the ones already activated. She wanted to change what was available. She figured it would probably cause a problem with Cameron if she did. There were several un-activated female Terminators in Cameron's menagerie.
There was another version of Cameron for the Future Allison Terminator. She was to be known as 'Allure'. She currently used the chassis for 'Fusion'. She was to be the Terminator with the 'Neural Interface' from Young Allison. She didn't intend to give up her chassis. She was open to doing the 'Neural Interface' with Young Allison anyway. She wouldn't incorporate it into her server. She would incorporate it into her chassis. In essence, it would create a new version of herself. It was an experience she wanted.
There were a few other female Terminators already created as well. They were all teenage versions of their DNA donors. She was sure Cameron intended to use them in the same fashion she used the Metal girls on the ship. She believed Cameron would need to use them in darkness, otherwise John would probably be somewhat traumatized, at least with one of them.
There was also the Catherine Weaver Terminator chassis. It was a younger version of Savannah's mother. She wouldn't use her chassis or anything, unless she specifically received approval from Savannah. She wouldn't disrespect her and do it behind her back. She felt the other chassis were fair game.
There were also several Terminators available 'in some future' if she needed to use them. The two Terminators loyal to Savannah were Ginger and Sandy. They'd developed a bond there when Savannah delivered 'Hope' for Duplicate Vanna.
She needed to make some decisions. Some of them probably wouldn't go over very well with anyone. Maybe she should just stick with the male Terminators.
The female Fanatic waited between two streets for the flatbed truck to appear. She began to think the Gray had turned around and went back out the way he'd entered. If he did, she most likely lost him. If he continued down the street he was on, he would eventually be dumped back onto the main street where she waited. She checked her phone again to see if there were any other alternate routes he could have taken. There were none.
She also needed to consider the possibility he went back to visit the two females again. Maybe it would be at this juncture where he would try to abduct one or both of them.
There was a city bus coming. She watched it go by. She looked at the street in back of her. There was nothing. She checked the street in front of her. She saw the flatbed truck pull its front end out into the lane after the city bus passed. She watched the flatbed make the turn. She was behind him. She was going to need to wait a moment before she pulled out onto the street. She didn't want to be right behind him. There was enough traffic now where she should be able to keep at least two cars between herself and the flatbed.
There were several locations she'd flagged already where he could go based upon his current location. It would be dependent upon which direction he turned in the next few streets. It would most likely determine what his location was going to be. It could be something different other than what she'd already gathered intelligence on.
The female Fanatic continued to tail the Gray in the flatbed truck.
The Gray moved around the bus after he made his turn. Once he was back on the main street, he knew where he was at. He was pretty sure he could make his way back to the homeless camp if he needed to. He was pretty sure he would at some point. It would either be for another visit or to put the grab on the two females. Either way he planned to have both of them again.
The Gray checked behind him as he drove. No one followed him off of the side street. He looked around for the truck he'd spotted earlier by where his building had been blown up. There was no sign of it. He hadn't seen it at all since he initially did. It was the only vehicle which had spotted him near the location. He looked around for the other two vehicles that had been involved in the gun battle. There is no sign of them either.
The Gray thought about all of the events and the way everything played out as he headed for 'Tango'. He'd been in no hurry to get there in case it had been attacked as well. He'd already survived a close one. He wasn't looking for a repeat performance.
Hank and Larry were in pursuit of the female Fanatic. They followed her through the drone footage. They received new instructions. They would need to call off the pursuit for now. They were going to need to assist Savannah and Cammy.
"Savannah comes first." Larry said.
Hank wanted to terminate the female Fanatic. It would need to wait.
"Let's go." Hank said.
They needed to obtain a few items. CamNet told them were everything was at.
Crimson Flowers
Beauty often comes with a price
Every lovely rose has a thorn
When one encounters it
They may soon become forlorn
Many things can make
One's heart burn and sting
Sooner rather than later
It's only to the joyful past they will cling
One will be left to wonder
Why beauty is easy to tarnish
It's because they didn't understand
Beauty is just the garnish
When one can see no further
That another's beauty is cosmetic
They will never comprehend
They are shallow and pathetic
It's the mind itself
Which the future devours
One will be only left with
Memories of crimson flowers
Nobody
