Chapter 1291

Rocking Chair

The Gray thought about all of the earlier events and the way everything played out as he headed for Tango. He didn't have a working phone. He didn't know what the current status of Tango was. As far as he knew, it had been wiped out as well.

There'd been a lot of activity in the last few days. It seemed all of the groups were at each other's throats right now. It didn't appear any of them could keep a secret for very long without being discovered or infiltrated.

He kept watching his rear view mirror. There was never the same vehicle behind him. There was one back a few cars that he thought he'd observed more than once. It wasn't the pickup truck or the two vehicles involved in the shooting match from earlier.

He tried his phone again. It still didn't work. He decided maybe going directly to Tango wasn't the best idea. It wasn't long after he'd returned to his base when they were hit by at least two different groups. Maybe he was the one who was responsible for all the destruction. He wanted to know more about the vehicle in the background.

The Gray wanted to make sure he wasn't being followed. He decided to make a series of turns. It was usually the best way to determine if someone picked up a tail. In this case he was the 'someone'.

The female Fanatic continued to tail the Gray in the flatbed truck. She always tried to keep at least two cars in front of her. She began to wonder if it was enough. The Gray didn't seem to be in too big of a hurry. Then again, if he'd been in a hurry, he wouldn't have made the 'comfort stop' at the homeless camp.

She wasn't positive, but it seemed like she'd been made. She needed a new vehicle. She needed some less bloody clothes as well. She didn't really know where she was going to be able to obtain either and stay with the Gray.

The flatbed up in front of her made a right hand turn. Right away she could tell it was a deviation from one of the two target locations she'd thought the Gray might be headed. There was really no way to know what he was up to. She was aware he could be headed to a different location as well. She dropped back a little further in the hopes another vehicle or two would make the turn.

No other vehicles made the turn.

'Damn.' The female Fanatic thought.

She paused a little longer before she made the turn. She spotted the flatbed truck up ahead. She thought it would be further in front of her, but it wasn't. Evidently the Gray wanted to see who else made the turn with him. It was just her.

Things weren't going the way she wanted them to go.

He thought about the car in the background. He didn't know if it was Skynet or future related. It very well could be. He also may have picked up a tail by the police when he'd visited the homeless camp. He didn't remember seeing any other vehicles around where he'd parked. It didn't mean the area wasn't under surveillance. He also remembered the gunshot which occurred. He was already in the flatbed truck when the gunshot happened. He could see a police tail if he'd been in the tent still when the gunshot occurred and then he'd left. He figured the most they could suspect him of was soliciting.

It seemed evident the skinny female was some type of drug user. He hadn't noticed any needle tracks on her arms. She could be into something which was snorted, smoked or swallowed. He knew she was hesitant to swallow something else. He needed to smile at the fact she did more or less anyway when she'd needed to 'service' her friend with the new monetary arrangement.

If he was pulled over, there were going to be several problems. First of all, he wasn't going to be able to outrun the police in the flatbed truck. He would more than likely be involved in a high speed accident if he attempted to do so. He currently didn't have any weapons on him if he was pulled over. They would flag him for having a stolen vehicle. He was sure it had been reported by this time. Being in a stolen vehicle wasn't necessarily the bad part of the equation. It was where the stolen vehicle was acquired from. It was one street away from the building which exploded and had multiple follow up explosions as it burnt to the ground.

He didn't want to be placed anywhere around the incident. There'd also been the two cars involved in the gunfight with each other. They'd been by the location as well. It was possible they could be traced back to the same area. He would be facing multiple felony accounts at some point. He wouldn't be able to explain who he was or where he was from. He would most likely end up in County lockup. The state government or the federal government might become involved because of the explosives used in the incident.

Those charges might just be for starters. He'd been involved in other numerous incidents since his return from the future. His fingerprints were bound to be on file based on other explosions and shootings. He would probably be flagged as a terrorist or serial killer. He wasn't sure which one was worse. He wouldn't be popular with the general population in prison with either one of those monikers hanging over his head.

He watched the vehicle he'd suspected make the turn. It was behind him.

'Damn.' The Gray thought.

He'd been surprised earlier at the lack of sirens headed for the burning building. Now he could clearly hear one. He saw it in the distance in his rear view mirror. Not only was there a red light, there was a blue light with it as well. It was a police vehicle. It was behind him and headed in his direction in what appeared to be a hurry.

There was no oncoming traffic currently. He quickly made a left hand turn. He ended up next to what appeared to be a large industrial complex. He didn't see anyone else around. There were several trucks backed up to the dock. There were two box trucks and another stake side truck. He quickly backed in between the two box trucks. He got out of the flatbed truck and ran across the street. He could hear the siren closing in on his location. He hoped to find cover before the police arrived. They wouldn't know where to look for him.

The Gray didn't want to be charged with series of murders and terrorist acts. He needed a weapon of some type. If the police moved in on foot, he would try to jump one of them and take their weapon. He could hear the siren get closer.

The female Fanatic made the turn and was behind the truck. She was sure she'd been clocked at this point.

She could hear a siren behind her. She thought maybe it was an emergency vehicle headed towards where the explosions and fire had been. It wasn't. It was some type of police vehicle and it was behind her.

It wasn't directly behind her. It was on the same street in back of her moving rapidly towards her. She knew both the Gray and her drove stolen vehicles. She figured if either one of them was reported stolen, it was the vehicle she was in. She'd taken it from someone who'd run into a coffee shop. Now she thought maybe she should have taken the other vehicle at the park when it turned into the parking lot. She could have obtained new clothes and a new vehicle. She would have needed to have killed the driver so they wouldn't be able to report her.

She could see the police car coming even closer. She looked down at her blood soaked clothes. If she was taken into custody, she would be charged with the murder of the three homeless men. She currently had the knife she killed them with. Their blood was on her clothing. It wouldn't take long for them to get a DNA match along with a blade edge match of the three slain homeless men. The stolen vehicle and the three murders would be the first charge they would be able to tag on her. There were going to be a lot more once they started looking.

The flatbed was still some distance in front of her. She watched it quickly make a left hand turn. She figured the Gray was worried about the same things she was. She knew he was going to make a break for it. She could see the police car was only back a few streets. She quickly made a left hand turn and pulled the car into an empty parking spot at what up here to be an office building.

She quickly got out of the vehicle and looked for a hiding spot. She still carried her pistol and knife. If she needed to use it against the police, she would. She wasn't going to prison. Her loose poison tooth in her mouth gave her comfort. It appeared Ascension was at hand.

She wanted to get away from the vehicle as quickly as possible. She spotted something in the rear of another car a couple of spots down. It was something in a dry cleaning bag. She couldn't quite tell what it was. Right now she didn't care. Whatever it was, it wouldn't have the blood from three dead homeless men on it.

She noticed the driver's side window wasn't up all of the way. They'd left it down to let the hot air out of the vehicle. There was enough room for her to get both of her hands over the top of the glass. She pushed down hard. The window went down two inches. She pushed down again. The window went down another couple of inches. She reached over and unlocked the rear driver's door.

The female Fanatic could hear the siren very near this point. She opened the rear driver's door and grabbed the bag. She wadded it up quickly and ran off. She didn't know if it was going to be men's clothing or women's clothing. Right now she didn't really care. She just needed to find a spot to hide and somewhere to change her clothing.

Savannah made all the traffic lights thanks to CamNet. They were near the nurse's apartment building. It had taken a little longer than she thought it would. She didn't know it was by design.

"How is Sleeping Beauty?" Savannah asked.

Cammy constantly monitored the nurse's condition. She was still passed out.

"I think she'll be around soon." Cammy said.

Savannah wondered how they were going to get her back into the apartment.

"Do you want me to park in her spot?" Savannah asked.

Cammy thought it was as good as any.

"We can for now." Cammy said. "It shouldn't draw any unnecessary suspicion unless someone physically looks inside of the vehicle and sees the blood."

Savannah made the turn into the alley to go to the nurse's parking spot. She spotted something which alarmed her.

"There's a delivery van parked in the alley by her spot." Savannah said. "I don't think it's right."

CamNet quickly contacted Cammy. She'd heard Savannah's concern and question.

"It's OK." Cammy said. "It's Larry. CamNet sent him to assist us."

Larry was usually with Hank. Savannah renamed them after they were being referred to as Pete and RePete since they looked almost identical. She felt those names were demeaning when used like that. She'd asked them to pick new names. They both wanted her to name them instead. It seemed all of Cameron's Terminators wanted her to pick a name for them. They all wanted to be named by the 'Chosen One'. She always needed to remind them she was just a girl.

"Where's Hank at?" Savannah asked. "They're usually together."

Cammy didn't know the specifics.

"CamNet indicated he's working on another task." Cammy said. "It's related to our current operation as well. We should see him shortly."

Savannah thought she knew what that task was. Time would tell.

Cammy made a visual scan around the area and in all directions. She wanted to make sure there was no one able to observe them.

Savannah backed into the nurse's parking spot. She noted the glass and blood were gone from the ground. The car didn't have any broken windows so she didn't know what the glass was from.

Larry waited under the carport overhang. He took a large box out of the back of the delivery van. There was a picture of a rocking chair on all four sides of it. The box was empty.

Cammy carefully placed the nurse inside the box with her legs bent. She then went back to the vehicle to remove the personal effects.

Savannah looked in the back of the van. There was a rocking chair sitting in the back. She deposited their vests in the back of the van. She pulled a hand truck out of the back so Larry didn't carry the box up by hand. She was afraid of how it might look. She thought about asking where the delivery van came from but decided not to. Larry was simply following instructions by CamNet.

Cammy carefully placed all the personal items from the car in the box alongside the nurse. She took the car key off the small ring of keys she'd found in the ignition when she loaded the nurse in the car. She left that key in the ignition.

"Let's go." Cammy said.

They went up in the elevator with the box on the hand truck and headed to the apartment. Savannah looked around. She opened the door. Cammy moved past her and went inside first. Larry followed her in with the box on the hand truck. Savannah brought up the rear. She took one look around and closed the door behind them.

No one was spotted and no one seemed to pay them any attention. They were glad they didn't see the old man or the lady and her little dog.

Cameron's Terminators again requested to board the bus and terminate the man. The request was denied by John Henry.

"I like working for CamNet better." Richard said.

Michael agreed.

"We seem to get more done." Michael said.

Sometimes they conducted what would be considered Resistance matters on their own with CamNet only. They were technically 'off the books' operations since the Resistance wasn't directly involved. They also conducted a number of other operations for CamNet in the same manner. They weren't Resistance related at all.

Richard and Michael wanted to make sure the guy didn't elude them again.

"As soon as he's off the bus, we need to grab him." Richard said.

Michael wanted to get the interrogation started.

"We can beat the information out of him." Michael said.

Richard nodded.

"It usually works." Richard said. "We're Terminators, it's what we do."

They would need a secluded place to start their work. They didn't think he would be taken back to Cameron's base. They hadn't taken anyone there for a while for some reason. The only thing that went back to Cameron's base was any deactivated Terminators they were able to obtain. None of them were seen again.

Al and Ed heard Richard and Michael wanted to move in again to take the man down.

"I think they have a point." Ed said.

Al wanted to use some caution.

"We don't know what we're dealing with." Al said.

Ed thought he had a pretty good idea.

"It's trouble." Ed said. "It's always trouble."

Al nodded.

"Let's stay with him for now." Al said. "He must be going somewhere."

They didn't know what his intermediate destination was. They did know his final destination. It was the cemetery.

Savannah opened the front door. Cammy entered first and made sure it was clear. Everything was as they'd left it.

Larry entered with the box.

Savannah brought up the rear. She took one look around and closed the door behind them

Cammy carefully lifted the nurse out of the box and put her on her bed.

Savannah took the personal items out of the big box. She let Larry out and he left with the empty box and the delivery van.

The nurse soon stirred.

Savannah quickly pulled down the shade. The room became very dark. The nurse must sleep during the day sometimes. It was a 'blackout' shade. It was understandable if she worked the night shift.

Cammy felt they'd done all they could do.

"She will be awake soon." Cammy said. "Let's go."

Savannah wanted to try and give some explanation to the nurse. She didn't want to leave her traumatized. The last thing she was going to remember was she was about to be abused by a group of brutal thugs who planned to kill her when they were done savaging her body.

"I don't want to leave her like this." Savannah said. "The room is very dark now. She can only see us as shadows."

Cammy didn't like the idea. The woman would be a threat when she awoke. It was clear she was willing to put up a fight based on the severely gouged faces of two of the Grays. They would have been left with permanent scarring if they'd survived. They didn't. Those were both defensive and offensive attacks on the female's part. She was willing to fight for her life.

"She may scream." Cammy said. "I'll gag her and tie her hands."

Savannah didn't want to treat her like a prisoner, especially in her own apartment.

"No." Savannah said. "You'll sit next to her and cover her mouth if she tries to scream."

There was the sound of a car below them. Savannah peeked out the window.

Earlier Savannah wanted to know where Hank was at. CamNet informed her he was out procuring a new vehicle. It pleased her greatly to know her earlier wishes were carried out. She thought it was the least they could do for the nurse.

She didn't know CamNet also felt a certain amount of responsibility. The two enemy vehicles seen were indirectly involved in one of her operations being conducted clandestinely. She'd decided to let them go to concentrate on the main target and stay with the female Fanatic. She figured she would pick them up later since there were additional drones on the way there. Events played out a little differently. Hank and Larry were involved with the operation. They'd been pulled off of it to assist with what Savannah asked for.

Savannah heard a vehicle outside. She peeked out the window. She was pleased with what she saw.

"Hank is here with a new car." Savannah said. "Let me go get the keys."

Savannah went out.

The nurse opened her eyes a few seconds later.

She went to scream.

Cammy held her down and told her she was at home now. She held her hand over her mouth and quickly explained things to her. The nurse still struggled. She explained to the nurse she'd been kidnapped by terrorists.

The nurse stopped struggling when she realized she was at home.

Cammy explained they'd rescued her just as she was about to be abused.

The nurse touched her body in several places. She seemed satisfied she hadn't been abused. She remembered them holding her down and ripping her shirt open. It was when they groped her she fought back with everything she could muster. She knew at that point they were really going to abuse her. It was the last thing she remembered.

Savannah returned with several items. She saw the nurse was awake.

"Here's your purse and your new car keys." Savannah said. "I also have your necklace."

She placed the necklace in the woman's hand.

The nurse looked at it in the dim light. She indicated she wouldn't scream or call out.

Cammy warned her if she did, she would be choked out.

"Who are you people?" The nurse asked.

Cammy decided to make it sound good.

"We work for a clandestine agency." Cammy said. "It's all I can tell you."

The nurse felt a little safer at home but she was still apprehensive.

"Is it one of those things where if you tell me more, then you need to kill me?" The nurse asked.

Cammy tilted her head slightly. She said what she thought.

'Yes." Cammy said. "Let me fix your necklace."

Cammy took it from her and bent back the broken link.

The nurse could barely see anything in the dim light.

"How can you even see to do that?" The nurse asked.

Cammy looked down at her.

"I see everything." Cammy said.

The nurse didn't know how much she could ask. There were some things she wanted to know.

"What happened to the men?" The nurse asked.

Savannah wanted to stay with the truth as much as possible.

"All five of them were killed in the rescue mission to get you out." Savannah said.

The nurse looked alarmed.

"You only got five of them?" The nurse asked.

Cammy checked the building while Savannah checked on the nurse.

"That's all that were in there." Cammy said. "I checked myself."

The nurse was sure of herself.

"There were six of them." The nurse said.

Cammy quickly sent out a warning to Steve and Tom.

Savannah wondered if one left in another vehicle.

"How many vehicles were there?" Savannah asked.

The nurse only saw two.

"I only saw mine and an SUV." The nurse said.

The nurse touched her cheek.

Savannah left and returned with a package of frozen peas from the freezer. She wrapped it in several paper towels. She handed it to the nurse.

The nurse thanked Savannah and applied the cold compress to her cheek.

"Can I sit up?" The nurse asked.

Cammy knew the nurse was a fighter. She didn't want to take any chances. She wouldn't have any trouble subduing her. She might injure her in the process. She didn't want to risk it. She thought the nurse had suffered enough.

"No." Cammy said.

It made the nurse a little more worried. She'd been in the custody a brutal thugs, which she now knew for sure were terrorists. She was currently in the custody of unknown strangers who claimed to work for a clandestine agency. Since they said five of the six men were dead, it indicated they would kill people. Right now she wondered if it included her.

"What's going to happen to me?" The nurse asked.

Cammy wanted the nurse to know her fate was in her own hands.

"It's up to you." Cammy said.

The nurse planned to call the authorities.

"You know I'm going to call the police." The nurse said.

Savannah wanted her to know all the 'records' were already altered.

"There won't be record of what's occurred." Savannah said. "They won't believe you."

The nurse thought the car would be proof.

"What about the new car?" The nurse asked.

Cammy knew it was covered.

"The records already show you purchased it yesterday." Cammy said. "You need to understand most of the people in your situation don't normally survive. This is an international terror group that's tracked wherever we can find them. They're the most dangerous terrorists on earth."

Savannah wanted to stick to the facts.

"We're doing you a favor." Savannah said. "It's only because I asked you 'survive' and be returned home. We risked our lives to help you. Those men were going to abuse and kill you. I think you know it would have happened."

The men told the nurse the same thing as they groped her and ripped her shirt open.

"It's what they said to me." The nurse said.

Cammy laid out some more details. She'd heard what the men planned to do to the nurse once she'd regained consciousness. The two men who had been severely scratched on their faces wanted some payback. They were going to torture and mutilate her. They'd planned to make her see everything they did to her so she knew what would be missing from her body before they killed her.

"It's their MO. We've found some of the victims before. They were a mess. It was never pretty. They were horribly mutilated as they were tortured. It happened while they were alive." Cammy said. "We risked ourselves to get you out. It was beyond the scope of our mission. When we heard you scream, my associate demanded we act to save you. We could have been shot or killed ourselves. The building could have blown up when we entered to rescue you."

The nurse was unsure what to tell her husband. She was going to need to explain a few things to him.

"What do I tell my husband about all this?" The nurse asked. "He's not going to believe me."

Savannah wanted to reinforce the part about no one believing her. She wanted the nurse to see some Terminator abilities. If she ever took a polygraph test and they asked her about what else she saw, it would show she was lying unless she told them what she'd witnessed. If she told them what she'd seen, no one was going to believe her and think she was insane. It was basically what happened to Sarah in the past. It later happened to Dr. Silverman as well.

"Nobody will believe you." Savannah said as she looked at Cammy. "Especially if you tell them about this, show her some 'colors'."

Cammy's eyes flashed blue for a second.

The nurse instinctively backed up a little bit further into the bed.

"That's when she's happy." Savannah said.

Cammy's eyes flashed red for a second.

The nurse tried to back up even more into the bed. There was nowhere else to go.

"That's when she's angry." Savannah said. "You don't want to see her when she's angry."

The nurse tried to catch her breath. What she saw terrified her.

"Who are you people?" The nurse asked. "What are you people?"

Cammy told it like it was.

"We're the people who kept you from brutal group abuse and saved your life." Cammy said. "If the terror group ever gets wind of this, they'll hunt you down and finish what they started. They never leave loose ends. We've seen them track people down, even a few years later, and finish them off in the most brutal way. You said one of them is still out there. They have contacts with dirty cops all over the world. As soon as you file a report, they'll know where to come and find you. Both you and your husband will be terminated. I won't even tell you what they do to the men as the women are forced to watch. If he survived, you wouldn't ever be able to have a family, for several reasons."

The nurse understood what it meant. She'd treated transgender patients who'd done it to themselves to 'get things started'. Usually, the body parts missing were flushed down the toilet to prevent them from being reattached. She found out they usually waited until they heard the ambulance, they'd called themselves, pull up out in front of their residence. They then performed the procedure in the bathroom and flushed the toilet. The medical personnel usually arrived before the tank on the toilet had finished refilling itself. The ambulance crew prevented the individual from bleeding to death as they took them to the hospital.

Cammy carefully went over all the rules and restrictions one more time. Everything was clearly laid out as to what could happen and what couldn't happen. It was also made clear to her what would happen if there were any problems.

Savannah wanted to wrap things up.

"We're going to leave now." Savannah said. "I don't trust you not to try to see us. When you wake up you'll be all alone with all your things from the car and your purse. Everything is there. I left some cash for you as well. Good night."

Cammy carefully choked the nurse out. She took the necklace and put it on the unconscious nurse.

Savannah opened the shade and the room flooded with light.

"I hated to do it to her." Savannah said.

Cammy didn't trust her. She could have as easily snapped her neck. It still wasn't too late.

"I should terminate her." Cammy said.

Savannah didn't want an innocent female to die needlessly.

"No." Savannah said. "The Resistance has helped others before."

Cammy knew what the price was for getting too nosy.

"If she becomes a problem, she'll be found with drugs the same day along with child porn." Cammy said. "We've used that technique too before."

Savannah was content they'd done their part to help her.

"We tried." Savannah said. "The rest is up to her."

Cammy quickly wiped down anything they'd touched and they left.

They went down and saw the nurse's car was gone. They called Hank. He said he was out on the street with the nurse's car. They went down and joined him. They drove away.

Steve and Tom policed the building. They were about ready to leave when they received the warning from Cammy about a sixth man.

Tom and Steve went through the entire building a second time. They couldn't find anyone, even when they'd used multiple vision spectrums.

"I don't think they're here." Tom said.

Steve wanted to move out.

"We need to leave." Steve said.

John Henry wanted some follow up information.

"The drones show no activity around your area." John Henry said. "All communications are still blocked. Have you found anything else yet?"

They were unable to determine why the Grays were staged in the building. There was no indication other than they were just there.

"We're still unable to tell what happened around here." Steve said. "There's no apparent reason for the Grays to be in this building."

John Henry pointed out the car taken into custody by the authorities.

"One of them drove a car full of explosives." John Henry said.

Steve went over what was there again.

"There are no explosives here." Steve said. "There is only one SUV and five dead men."

John Henry was sure of some additional association on the Gray's part.

"We still think they are involved with the Fanatics or the anti-Metal group." John Henry said.

Tom finished putting up a second surveillance camera.

"Maybe the man who left belongs to one of those groups. We've set up some surveillance equipment. See what turns up." Tom said. "We're pulling out."

Tom would have preferred to burn the building when they left. Now they left behind a loose end. It was sure to bring additional trouble at some point in time.

John Henry was dissatisfied at how the events unfolded.

They knew no more now than they'd started with.

They still surveilled the man from the bus.

The operation with Cammy and Savannah seemed like it was going to turn out poorly.

There was nothing to like so far.

Young Allison and Anna were dissatisfied as well.

"Now we have one more person to worry about. Who was the sixth man and where is he now?" Young Allison asked. "The man on the bus is a loose end. The nurse may be a problem."

Anna wanted to point out the dangers of loose ends.

"There are often loose ends." Anna said. "Now you know why Cameron doesn't like loose ends. Loose ends can produce surprises. Cameron doesn't like surprises."

Young Allison could see compassion may not always be the right choice.

"Maybe we need to let the Terminators do their jobs." Young Allison said.

Anna wanted Young Allison to be more specific.

"Do you mean to kill more people?" Anna asked.

Young Allison saw it more as finishing what they started.

"I mean get the job done." Young Allison said.

Anna was updated by CamNet.

"Savannah and Cammy are clear." Anna said.

Young Allison originally wanted things wrapped up.

"I stand by my original assessment." Young Allison said.

Anna thought they would have some answers soon.

"I guess we will know what happens when the nurse wakes up." Anna said.

Young Allison wondered if maybe it would be better if the nurse didn't wake up. All it would take was a message to CamNet. She possessed the 'power of suggestion' to make it happen.

Maybe this was a test. Maybe it was reality. Maybe it was just another day.

Savannah felt like there was more to worry about now. She needed to visit CamNet again and Young Allison. It all seemed like it needed to wait. Those were all things she'd promised to do.

There was still something else which bothered her.

"The sixth man worries me." Savannah said.

Cammy felt the man on the bus was a problem too.

"More than the man on the bus does?" Cammy asked.

Savannah hoped it led to more of one of the groups they'd dealt with.

"It worries me too." Savannah said. "At least we know where he's at, even if we don't know where he's going. It should lead to a target."

CamNet informed Cammy that Steve and Tom were about to intercept them.

"Steve and Tom will join us soon." Cammy said.

Savannah hadn't seen Hank in awhile. She wanted to seem polite and include him in the conversation.

"What about you, Hank?" Savannah asked. "What's next?"

Hank normally would use a standard procedure for dealing with the vehicle. CamNet wanted to tie up any loose ends related to the vehicle.

"Under normal circumstances I'd dump this car in gang territory." Hank said. "It will be taken directly to a salvage yard and head straight for the crusher. Larry will pick me up."

Cammy wanted to know what he was up to. She was curious as to why they were able to respond so quickly and get everything lined up to assist them.

"Then what will you do?" Cammy asked.

It was clear Hank wasn't going to say much.

"CamNet pulled us off of an assignment." Hank said. "We'll return to it. It wasn't concluded yet."

They drove for a few more minutes.

"Here comes Steve and Tom." Cammy said.

Hank pulled over.

Cammy got out.

Savannah leaned over and touched Hank on the cheek before she got out.

"Thank you for assisting us." Savannah said.

Hank smiled at Savannah. He was very pleased with the personal interaction.

"We will come when you need us." Hank said. "We'll all come for you."

Savannah didn't want to be treated special. She wanted everyone to do their jobs. She did need to acknowledge everyone's attention. It did mean a lot to her.

"I appreciate it." Savannah said.

Hank drove away.

Savannah watched Hank touch his cheek where she'd touched it as he drove away.

They saw Larry was behind him in an SUV now.

Savannah blew him a kiss. She'd also touched his cheek before he left the apartment earlier.

Larry smiled and waved.

Cammy noticed Savannah's interaction with Hank and Larry. They acted totally differently when she was around them. It bothered her to a certain extent. She felt a little bit jealous. She was very pleased Savannah preferred females.

"They don't know it, but they all love you." Cammy said. "As they continue to develop, they'll know it one day."

Savannah thought it would be beautiful if they evolved that far.

"I hope I'm still alive when they do." Savannah said.

Cammy didn't say anything at first.

"Your statement doesn't sound good." Cammy said.

Savannah ran a busy schedule.

"I need to do a lot of things." Savannah said.

Steve turned one SUV over to them. He went back to join Tom in the other SUV.

Savannah followed him and she thanked both of them for coming to assist her and Cammy earlier. She touched both of them on the cheek when she thanked them. They seemed very pleased.

They asked if she wanted them to follow Cammy and her or join in on where the man in the bus was headed.

Savannah didn't want to influence the operations.

"Let John Henry decide where he wants you to go." Savannah said.

Savannah left them behind and joined Cammy in the SUV.

"Where do you want to go?" Cammy asked.

Savannah wanted the missing man.

"I want to find the sixth man." Savannah said.

Cammy tilted her head slightly. She wasn't so sure Savannah should have sent all of their help away.

Allison was with Cam and Samantha. She spent most of her time working on Samantha. It was just the opposite reaction she thought she would have. The more she was with Samantha, the more she wanted to be with her. She tried to tell herself it wasn't because of Samantha's sheath, but she knew it was.

Vanna tended to Precious. There wasn't a whole lot for her to do. She could quickly take care of anything that needed to be done. She realized she was bored.

Maybe she should take Precious to the lab again and get back to her job.

Cameron put Hanna in charge of the group of females headed back to the ship. She called Jim and asked to have the spa ready for a VIP group. It was to be female staff only. There shouldn't be any males visible at any point in time.

There was one Metal girl for each of the females.

Sheila asked again before they left if she could accompany John and her.

Cameron was still concerned about Riley's condition. She asked Sheila and Ally to personally watch over Riley until the other groups returned later on.

Ally wondered if re-boarding the ship was going to cause a problem.

"What about getting back on the ship?" Ally asked. "Bob isn't there now."

Cameron didn't see a problem. There was plenty of assistance available to them, even if it was behind the scenes.

"Jim and CamNet will get you through security." Cameron said.

Sheila wanted to play around as usual.

"I want to set off the metal detector so they can search me." Sheila said. "I'll ask for a full body search."

Ally liked to rib Sheila some.

"You just want to show off." Ally said. "You'll probably want a full body cavity search while they're at it."

Sheila wanted to have some of her jewelry on before she was searched.

"I'll show you what it is to show off." Sheila said.

Sheila held up the box Dan handed her earlier. She jiggled it back and forth slightly.

Ally heard the metallic jingle inside of the box. She figured what it was.

"Oh, brother, I bet she ends up with a ring through her nose." Ally said.

Cameron didn't want any nonsense. She wanted Riley looked after and to make sure she was fine.

"Stay with Riley." Cameron said. "I don't want any problems. I'm sure you don't either."

Sheila and Ally quickly looked at each other. They understood a veiled threat when they heard one. They took off and hurried to catch up. They would take good care of Riley for Cameron.

Ken and Lou ferried the group to the Air And Space Museum. They said they would remain with the vehicles while the others went inside.

Cameron assigned Dan and Frank to Derek and Kyle

John looked around.

"There are even planes on the outside." John said as they walked up.

Derek wondered how well John could identify some of the aircraft.

"Do you know what those planes are?" Derek asked.

John wasn't as well versed in aircraft like Derek was.

"One looks like an SR-71 Blackbird." John said. "It only has a place for a pilot so it's not. I know it's not a YF-12A. The front end is different on it because of the radar in the nose."

There was a voice from behind them. They were unaware anyone was there.

"It's an A-12." Summer said. "Sometimes it's referred to by several nicknames such as Archangel, Oxcart and Cygnus."

The group turned around.

Summer and Jan were there.

"She's right." Derek said.

Jan went to Kyle and he gave her a hug.

John looked at Summer.

"How do you know that?" John asked. "About the aircraft I mean."

Summer smiled at John.

"I know a lot of things." Summer said.

She handed John a small booklet for the museum. It showed a picture and description of all the aircraft there.

"I read this while we waited for you to arrive." Summer said.

John wondered if she remembered everything.

"Do you know everything in this booklet now?" John asked.

Summer smiled at John again.

"Yes." Summer said. "It's why I gave it to you. You need to study it some."

Cameron wasn't sure if she liked John's questions. Summer held her own.

"Let's go inside." Cameron said.

Derek looked at Cameron and smiled.

"I really appreciate this, Cameron." Derek said.

Kyle was impressed with all the things they'd seen so far.

"We're really getting an aircraft and ship tour here in San Diego." Kyle said. "I didn't even know half of the things were here."

Holly made sure Bob kept an eye on Jan and Summer. She went and picked up their tickets. She handed them to Cameron.

Cameron distributed the tickets.

"Everyone has a Terminator chaperone." Cameron said. "Make sure you stay in contact."

John wondered why Cameron seemed so concerned.

Hank and Larry left Savannah and Cammy behind. They were going to return to their previous operation. They didn't want to leave the Gray and female Fanatic behind earlier or now. It was necessary so they could assist in the Resistance operation.

"We can still intercept the female Fanatic." Hank said.

Larry was surprised of her latest move.

"I would have thought she would have arrived at a different location by now." Larry said.

Hank was a little uncomfortable leaving Savannah and Cammy behind.

"I think CamNet should have someone else take over for us. We should stay and back up the girls." Hank said.

Larry was sure Hank felt the same things he did right now.

"Savannah can touch us more than just our sheath." Larry said.

Hank understood what he meant.

"She always could from the first time we met her." Hank said.

They received new orders. Neither one of them was surprised. Right now they didn't really care about the Gray or the female Fanatic. They wanted to assist Savannah and Cammy.

Rocking Chair

Some things are easier to break
Than they are to repair
They're bound to leave one
Feeling down with despair

Trying to put a round peg
Into a hole that is square
Makes one take a second look
As they try to compare

Finding the right fit
Seems to be quite rare
Things may pay off for those
Who will venture and dare

Few things in life
Are actually played out fair
There is always a toll
There will be some type of fare

Some think it matters
If they believe they care
Maybe it only really matters
On whom they can snare

In the end all one needs
Is food, water and air
A smile they can wear
As they sit in a rocking chair

Nobody
