Finchsong's point of view
" Finchsong! Finchsong! are you still there" Finchsong heard Bayblossom call out from darkness inside the monster.
" Ya Bayblossom I'm still here"
" Oh thank Starclan" although she could not see him she could here that Bayblossom was somewhere to her left.
" Ok that's amazing" Bayblossom replied saddle.
" Now do you know were in the Dark Forest we actually are?"
" Bayblossom? Bayblossom?"
The golden tabby and white tom didn't reply.
" Bayblossom I know you can still here me why aren't you responding" Even if she asked Finchsong already knew why he didn't reply.
" Fffi Fffi Fiii Finchsong"
" Ya Bayblossom?"
" I'm I'm just so sorry about what happened back in the forest I know that I was a real idiot back there"
" Bayblossom it's fine I know that you were upset and you have every right to be upset"
" Bayblossom?"
Finchsong could here Bayblossom weeping in sadness inside of the twoleg cage Finchsong decided that it was best to leave Bayblossom to weep on his own
" Oh my Starclan were actually stuck here were going to die were actually going to die" Bayblossom cried out.
It was the first time that Finchsong had actually though about the situation that her and Bayblossom were in they were stuck in Twoleg traps inside the belly of a Twoleg monster with now whey to get out.
" Mabey were are actually going to die" Finchsong though to herself.
Flamestorm's point of view
" Every on in Thunderclan get over here now " Squirrelflight ordered.
Flamestorm and Sparkpelt followed what was left of Thunderclan into a small clearing in the forest Squirrelflight toke a head count of who had mad it out of the Kin camp.
All and all Flamestorm, Sparkpelt, Squirrelflight, Jayfeather, Whitewing, Mousewhisker, Cinderheart, Rosepetal, Blossomfall, Ivypool, Dewnose, Stormcloud, Finleap, Eaglewing, Shellfur, Twigbranch, Bristlefrost, Spotfur, MyrtleFlower, Daisy, Cherryfall, and her kits Graystripe, Cloudtail, and Brightheart had made it out of the Thunderclan camp.
Throughout the clan a low somber murmuring whispered throughout the clan several cats were weeping loudly Cloudtail and Brightheart crying into each others shoulders Ivypool and Bristlefrost walked back in forth clearly in a panicked about lousing Fernsong, Flipclaw, and Thriftear Well Twigbranch and Finleap embraced each other clearly happy that they both made it out okay.
" Cats of Thunderclan " Squirrelflight announced " As all of you know Bramblestar is not with us at this time as he has been captured by The Children Of The Kin. Until Bramblestar returns to us as deputy of Thunderclan I will serve as the leader of Thunderclan"
" Squirrelflight! Squirrelflight! Squirrelflight! Squirrelflight! " the rest of Thunderclan chanted unsurely.
The question now running through Flamestrom and likely all of Thunderclan's mind was who was deputy if Squirrelflight was leader. Although it wasn't official everyone in Thunderclan new that Lionblaze was Bramblestar's second choice for deputy he had served as deputy when Squirrelflight was in the nursery and many older cats talked about how they were surprised Lionblaze wasn't mad deputy.
But Lionblaze had been captured by The Kin so who Squirrelflight was going to chose for deputy was anybody's guess.
" Ivypool you have been a loyal warrior to Thunderclan for as long a any of us can remember you risked your life to spy on The Dark Forest and gave us vital aid during the great battle and I think that you are the cat here that's the most qualified to be my temporary deputy "
The silver and tabby she-cat stepped forward Infront of Squirrelflight clearly surprised.
" Yes Squirrelflight I will do my best to serve Thunderclan even in these challenging circumstances"
" Ivypool! Ivypool! Ivypool! Ivypool! "
" This is a very challenging time for Thunderclan I know that it may seem like we have been defeated but know that Thunderclan has not been defeated we will fight and get our camp back and one day we will get ride of The Kin and Thunderclan will prosper again"
Starling's point of view
Starling paced back in fourth in the Skyclan camp not knowing what else to really do.
With most of Skyclan out on the two battle patrol's the Skyclan camp felt extremally empty the only other cats left in camp were Tree, Fallowfern, Sparrowpelt, Fringewhisker, and Pigeonfoot and her kit's.
From the nursery entrance Starling could see Fringewhisker and Pigeonfoot watching Spiderkit and Wildkit tussling with a ball of moss in the the snow.
" Spiderkit Wildkit time for bed "
" What no that's not fair!" Wildkit wined.
" No but's about it's already late"
" But mom were not" Spiderkit tried to complain before yawning.
" Come on you two let's get to bed" Fringewhisker meowed sweetly as her and Pigeonfoot assured the two kit's inside the nursery.
" You find kit's cute? " Starling turned around in shock to see that it was Tree talking to him.
" Oh ugg ya I um guess so I mean I don't really know I've never really been around kit's The Kin haven't had any kit's well I've been there"
" Sorry if that came out of the blue I wanted to make conversation with you seeing how you here all by yourself"
Starling though about that for the first time he was here in Skyclan all by himself he couldn't go back to The Kin without Skyclan's permission and even if he did after going missing after an attack three times in a row The Kin would know something was up for sure.
Starling though back to when he was a kit with Darkness, Mint, Nettle, and Kite when they just moved into the Kin camp at the time the Kin was recovering from Darktail's defeat and it was only about 10 cats strong he remembered him and his siblings favorite game was Kin and warriors were on of them would be a clan leader and the rest would be the Kin warrior's and beat them up well his parent's and Sleekwhisker would watch them in approval.
Looking back at his kithood Starling could see how much his parent's and Sleekwhisker had manipulated him and his views on the world and the clans. He had always been told that the Clans were weak closeminded and un open to any new ideas. The clans clearly weren't weak they Kin hadn't managed to defeat a single Clan even with the help with Shadowmaw. Now that Starling had gotten to meet clan cats he saw that they were far kinder then he or his siblings had been led to believe.
Was this really what The Kin were fighting for? to destroy a group of cats that seemed to just want to live there lives'? Was it really worth the going through all this training and taming Shadowmaw just to keep losing to a group of cats who never returned the favor.
As to why Sleekwhisker had left the clan's Starling had always been told that Sleekwhisker lived a miserable life in the clans before Darktail had came in and saved her and the rest of Shadowclan from there suffering before they were betrayed by the other kin cats and he was tragically struck down by Onestar the leader of Windclan. From there most of the Kin dispended except for Sleekwhisker, Raven, and Roach who had carried on Darktail's teachings and taught the feral cats of Twoleg place about The kin's superiority.
But were The Kin really superior he had always assumed that was the case heed have to dig deeper to find out.
" You thinking about something Starling?"
" Oh ya just thinking back to when I was a kit how much I was lied to by Sleekwhisker"
" Can't imagine Sleekwhisker painted the Clans in the best light"
" No from what she said the clans were the worst thing to ever happen to cats"
" Well I cant really say much about The Kin I joined Skyclan after the original Kin had disbanded"
" Wait you joined Skyclan! like you weren't born here? "
" Oh of course not I was a loner for most of my life until about a year ago"
" I didn't ever even think about cats just being able to join a clan I was always told that the clans were a bunch of snobs who though they were above everyone else"
" Ya there defiantly are some cats that can think like that especially in Thunderclan and Shadowclan "
" Sleekwhisker was from Shadowclan" Starling though to himself maybe he could find out more about Sleekwhisker one day if he went there.
" Have you ever though about joining the Skyclan" Tree asked
Starling was taken aback by the yellow tom's question he had never really though about joining Skyclan considering the situation that he was in it was probably the best option that he had he didn't want to go back to The Kin and if he became part of Skyclan he could at become more then at least a simple prisoner.
" Yah actually I have I was wondering if I asked Leafstar to join if she would say yes" Starling responded confidently.
" Well I can't say for sure but since Skyclan's let plenty of cats from outside of the clan's join so I don't see why she wouldn't you seem like a nice cat definitely not like most of us would have imagined a Kin cat"
" Well then when as soon as Leafstar gets back I'm gonna ask her to join Skyclan"
Applepaw's point of view
" Victory!" Applepaw yelled as she ran about the Riverclan camp.
Around the Riverclan camp Riverclan and Windclan warriors were getting there baring's straight from the battle Harestar and Crowfeather were talking with Brackenstar and Icewing.
" Applepaw there you are" Brindlewing walked other to Applepaw with a limp on her front paw.
" Oh sweet Starclan Applepaw what happened to your chest! "
" What about my chest? "
" You didn't notice the giant gash on your chest? "
Looking down at her chest Applepaw saw what Brindlewing was talking about along the right side of her chest was a giant gash with a trail of blood seeping out of it.
" Huh your right guess I was to focused on the battle to notice that "
" Well you should go and get that looked at sis the Riverclan medicine cats are seeing cats at the medicine den "
" Sure thing sis" Applepaw padded over to the Riverclan medicine den.
Outside the medicine den Mothwing and Willowshine various Windclan and Riverclan warriors although it seemed that the injury's weren't as severe as they had been during previous attacks Shimmerpelt and Oatclaw were getting treated for wounds along there back Nightsky had a twisted paw Mallownose and Leaftail were getting bight marks on there legs treated.
After getting her wound dressed in cobwebs Applepaw saw Woodpaw and Flutterpaw talking with the Riverclan apprentices Splashpaw and Fogpaw.
" Oh hay Applepaw come over her"
" Hay Splashpaw Fogpaw how's it going"
" Well we haven't been eaten by Shadowmaw so I would say that's a win" Splashpaw laughed.
" Ya that's so true Shadowmaw's the last thing that I want to see today a got one scar from them and one was enough" Fogpaw held out her back leg that had the scar from Shadowmaw from the night all the apprentices snuck out.
" Actually were was Shadowmaw I didn't see him at all?" Flutterpaw asked.
It was then Woodpaw's dark amber eyes flashed in concern and realization " Wait if The Kin launched an attack on Riverclan without Shadowmaw then they must have attacked another clan"
" Oh my Starclan your right wonder which one it was" Flutterpaw replied.
" Well we would've heard if it was Windclan so it has to Shadowclan, Skyclan, or Thunderclan.
Applepaw silently hoped it was Shadowclan she didn't want any clan to be attacked by The Kin but if they attacked Thunderclan or Skyclan then Wrenpaw or Finchsong could get hurt and she didn't want her friends to get hurt.
" Hay Splashpaw did you hear about the Kin spy working in Skyclan? " Flutterpaw asked.
" Oh that ya I heard something about that I think that he was a prisoner that they roped into spying on The Kin for them "
" Ya I heard about him a Shadowclan patrol my dad met said that his name was Starling" Fogpaw added.
" Splashpaw Fogpaw can you watch your siblings for me well I help Breezeheart and Podlight repair the wall " Havenpelt called from the nursery.
" Sorry we've got to go nice talking to you Flutterpaw" Splashpaw meowed as he headed over to the nursery followed by Fogpaw.
" Wait Fogpaw do you know anything else about The Kin spy?" Applepaw asked.
" Know sorry but I'm sure that Wrenpaw, Rootspring, and Needleclaw would next time you see them make sure to ask"
Finchsong's point of view
" Mabey were are actually going to die" Finchsong started to panic she began to claw frantically at the cage to know avail.
" What am I going to do! what am I going to do! " Finchsong and Bayblossom were stuck in a monster's belly with no way to get out.
Finchsong collapsed onto the floor and started to cry she had always tried to be in control and for the first time it felt like she had no control.
Suddenly Finchsong felt nothing but air underneath her front paw she realized that she was on a ledge and that there was a drop-off below her.
Backing up to the edge of the cage Finchsong lunged forward slamming herself into the cage a loud rattle rang out as the cage shook.
Finchsong rammed herself into the cage repeatedly pushing it slowly towards the edge.
" Come on come on " Finchsong yelled as she rammed the cage.
With one final push Finchsong felt the cage begin to tilt slowly over.
" Sweet Starclan maybe this wasn't the best idea " Finchsong yelled she hadn't taken into account that in the dark she couldn't see how far the drop was.
With a tremendous thud the cage slammed into the ground Finchsong felt a bolt of pain for a moment. Shaking the fall off Finchsong felt around in the darkness Finchsong felt the door to the cage had been busted open.
" Oh thank Starclan that worked" Finchsong meowed happily as she climbed out of the cage.
" Bayblossom Bayblossom were are you? "
Finchsong could here Bayblossom's quite weeping coming from up above her.
Finchsong leapt up only to slam against the ledge and fall back down. Getting back up Finchsong leapt up again scrambling onto the ledge Finchsong felt her way through the dark until she found the cage Bayblossom was in.
" Finchsong please leave me alone I just want to be alone right now " Bayblossom sniffed.
" Bayblossom hmm I'm not just going to leave you here " Finchsong huffed as she began to push the cage.
With a final push Bayblossom's cage fell to the floor Finchsong jumping down after him.
" Ow what was that for " Bayblossom complained as he climbed out of the cage.
" Well what did you want me to do just leave you there for the Twoleg's "
" No I suppose not "
" What do you suppose not?"
" Forget it lets just lets just find away out of here. Bayblossom sighed.
Feeling around the darkness Finchsong searched for the mouth of the monster that the Twoleg's shoved them into.
" Think I found it" Bayblossom said dully.
Padding up beside him Finchsong felt the cold stone mouth of the Monster.
" Great job Bayblossom now all we have to do is find a way to get the monsters mouth open"
Applepaw's point of view
Applepaw walked across the moor with the rest of the Windclan patrol by now it was mid day although the sun was blocked by thick gray clouds as a light snowfall sprinkled the cats pelt's.
" Applepaw that was a really good battle you had back in Riverclan" Nightcloud congratulated her.
" Thanks grandma"
" You know I don't think I've seen anybody be able to shake wounds of like that since your father was a young warrior "
Applepaw got an uneasy feeling about Nightcloud's comment she had heard snippet's about her fathers past but there was always a air of hush hush about the details Breezepelt and Heathertail had never told her or her sisters about it Nightcloud had only told her the good part's about him well Crowfeather was ominously quite.
All she knew was that Nightcloud and Crowfeather had separated when Breezepelt was young and then it was reveled Crowfeather had kits with a Thunderclan medicine cat which caused a rift in Crowfeather and Breezepelt's relationship that never fully healed, Even today Applepaw noticed how Crowfeather was very awkward around Breezepelt and Nightcloud.
The fact that Crowfeather had other kits in Thunderclan was something Applepaw didn't really think about she had never bothered to ask about it but she knew who her relatives were from Smokehaze who had been a lot more interested in it and kept realtionships with Lionblaze's second litter at gatherings.
" Oh thank Starclan were home " Emberfoot sighed with relief as the Windclan camp came into sight.
" Your back!" Sedgewhisker meowed in excitement bounding other to the Windclan battle patrol followed by Featherpelt and Heathertail.
" How are you all doing" Heathertail meowed softly brushing up against Breezepelt and her kits.
" Oh don't worry love were all doing just fine" Breezepelt softly reassured Heathertail.
" Ya mom don't worry about it everyone mad it out just fine" Smokehaze added in.
" Oh my Starclan Applepaw! what happened to your chest!" Heathertail yelled.
" Oh mom please don't worry about it's just a flesh wound I'm gonna be fine "
" Ya you don't need to get your fur in a knot" Brindlewing reassured in a grumpy tone clearly upset about not getting to spend more time with Hootwhisker.
" Let all cats old enough to chase there own pray gather around Tallrock for a clan meeting" Harestar's meowed.
Applepaw and the rest of her family followed the rest of Windclan to Tallrock.
" Today Windclan showed are strength as we were able to aid our allies in Riverclan in defeating the Kin" all of Windclan let out yowls of approval.
" In particular there were two apprentices that have though valiantly for Windclan and the warrior code"
" Wait Woodpaw is he talking about us?!" Applepaw whispered in excitement to Woodpaw.
" So me and Crowfeather think that it's time that these two warriors are given there warrior names"
" Oh my Starclan he is talking about us!" Applepaw bristled with excitement.
" Woodpaw please step forward "

" Oh my Starclan were so proud of you " Heathertail and Breezepelt rushed over to congratulate Woodbeam and Appleclaw along with there older sisters.
" I can't believe that are little sisters are already warriors it seems like yesterday that you to were just little kits in the nursery " Brindlewing cooed.
"Oh my Starclan ya I still remember how nervous I was when I got Woodbeam as an apprentice" Smokehaze added.
"Woodbeam Appleclaw I cant believe your warriors now " Songpaw, Whistlepaw, and Flutterpaw yelled as they approached them.
"It feels so great I'm so excited to be able to sleep in the warriors den and have the other Clans take me seriously as a warrior"
"Were gonna miss having you guys as sleep mates it's going to feel weird with just me and Flutterpaw" Songpaw meowed sadly.
"Oh don't worry Songpaw you've only got a moon or two until you two get your warrior names besides we won't be that far we all sleep outside anyway" Woodbeam replied.
"Also not to gossip but I heard from Slightfoot that Hootwhisker might have finally gotten the hint" Songpaw whispered into Appleclaw and Woodbeam's ears.
"Do you think that we should tell Brindlewing that?"
Applepaw looked at Brindlewing then to Hootwhisker who was talking to Leaftail and Oatclaw.
"Nah they'll figure it out on there own"
