She wondered if this was the first time that she had ever hated anybody.
And she knew she shouldn't think that way, especially about a teammate and someone she had thought was a friend, but she couldn't help it. She could feel it getting stronger, tightening around her chest and swelling up in her belly until she had to put a hand to the wall to steady herself.
How could he? He knew her past was a mystery to everyone, even herself… and that she could be a threat to everyone and not even know it. The Chief had told her it was all right, and she did her best to at least pretend to be having so much fun adventuring that she forgot that she had, well, forgotten, but she knew the memory of Sakura-san, eyes cold as she pointed the sword to her throat was the one memory she'd have forever.
And to make matters worse, she had thought… that Souta-san was different. Chief was kind but distant, Masumi was Masumi, and she didn't think Sakura-san would ever even like her, let alone trust her. Souta-san was the one exception. He was never mean, never waiting for her to betray them all.
Masumi was her first friend. Souta-san was something... different. Something unknown, something more.
Until now. Until she discovered that all this time he'd been gathering information on her secretly, like any other threat to SGS. And then he tried laughing it off, like she was some stupid child and their one-sided argument could be soothed with a smile and a kiss (although even Souta-san had enough sense to not go that far; and if he had she would've made sure that he was in any condition to kiss anything for a long time). She had gone from being a potentional threat to a little kid in just a few minutes.
At some point she would have to forgive him, if only for the sake of the team.
She just didn't know when.
