Chapter 1313

Double Jinx

Savannah was naked. She hurried to the Command Center from the TDE room. She thought about stopping by her room to grab some clothes but decided she didn't have time. She needed to know what was happening with the unknown portal. It was a serious threat to those who remained at the scene.

John Henry saw her headed towards the Command Center. He could see she was still naked. He didn't want to run into the trouble he did earlier with Cammy.

Savannah entered the Command Center. She'd just seen John Henry a short time ago. She skipped the pleasantries.

"Has the drone strike started?" Savannah asked.

John Henry glanced at her. He took in her true beauty but didn't lose focus on his job. He indicated several of his monitors.

"You can see the drone footage of the impending attack." John Henry said. "It hasn't commenced yet. It's about to start."

Savannah sat down in John's position and looked at the array of monitors.

There was some movement at the door.

Cammy entered the Command Center. She was still naked as well. She carried some clothes.

John Henry noticed it all in but needed to remain focused on his job. It was difficult. He was highly distracted in the presence of naked females. It didn't matter whether they were a human or a Terminator. Their beauty was the same.

Cammy was still a little miffed at the way John Henry ogled Savannah and Vanna earlier.

"I picked up some clothes for us in our room." Cammy said. "I didn't want to cause any distractions anywhere."

Cammy glanced over at John Henry.

Savannah was glad to hear it. She needed to see what was about to happen. The clothes would have to wait.

"We can dress in a little while." Savannah said. "It's going down now."

John Henry couldn't help but glance over at Savannah with her last statement. Perhaps it was her choice of words which made him look. He quickly refocused on his job.

Savannah knew if Cam couldn't close or destroy the portal, they were going to have to try something else. They'd already tried firing conventional weapons into the portal. There was no apparent effect. If anything, it seemed to make the portal respond out of control. It was possible they'd damaged or destroyed whatever mechanism controlled or operated the unknown portal. It looked like it was going to take a harder punch. One was on its way there.

Cammy knew what Savannah and Young Allison were up to. She'd been there when Cameron showed them some of her nuclear weapons. She showed Savannah and Young Allison how to use the timers and how to detonate one standing next to it. It saddened her some to see both the girls wanted to learn how to do it in case it was necessary to stop Skynet.

Savannah noticed she was tied into the Young bunker and could see Young Allison. She looked down the front of herself and figured Young Allison could see her naked as well. There wasn't enough time to worry about it.

The attack commenced.

Cam was relieved Cammy and Savannah were back safely. She didn't like having her clothes ripped off as she was almost sucked into the portal. She was topless except for the vest she wore. One of the male Terminators gave it to her after they'd regrouped. They offered to give her their shirt as well. She declined. She'd even hated to take the vest. They all insisted she wear it.

The high altitude drone footage showed the building was being ripped apart and sucked into the void.

She'd directed the drones where to attack. Based on the information she'd received from Cammy, they were on to something. The drones would attack from the front side of the building or behind where the portal was.

Two drones volunteered for the assault. They'd both become the 'personal drones' for Young Allison and Savannah. They would attack first to see if it made a dent in what was happening. The other drones were ready to follow them in if necessary.

'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' made their runs together. They planned to hit both the rear sides of the amplifiers at the same time.

They each fired both of their air to surface missiles and peeled off. They didn't want to get sucked in. They'd already fought the pull of the portal as they'd pulled the three Terminators away to safety earlier. It was touch and go but they'd made it. If they hadn't worked together earlier, the three Terminators, and at least one of the drones, would have been sucked in.

The high altitude drone footage showed the missile strike. Most of the roof on the side facing the portal was gone already. They could see the center of the building erupt into a fireball. Most of the fireball was sucked into the portal. The smoke cleared rapidly.

Young Allison watched the drone footage with Anna.

"I don't see it." Young Allison said.

Anna looked at the rubble of the smoldering center section of the building.

"I don't either." Anna said.

Young Allison wanted to have someone take a closer look. It was still a risky prospect.

"Have a drone make a lower pass several times. Each time will be a lower pass than the one before." Young Allison said. "If they detect any 'pull' or suction, they're to break off."

Young Allison knew it was a risk for the drone. The alternative was a nuclear strike if they'd failed to close the portal.

Savannah could hear and watch Young Allison. Anna coordinated everything with John Henry and CamNet.

Savannah looked at Cammy. She didn't want the others to risk themselves.

"I may need to go back there to take a closer look." Savannah said.

Cammy wasn't about to let it happen. She knew it was 'touch and go' for both of them earlier.

"There are others closer who can do an initial observation." Cammy said. "We need to get this wrapped up now. I don't think there should be any additional delay."

Cammy contacted Cam directly. She didn't want Savannah to go back there.

Cam's team was the closest. She planned to do a recon of the area. She started off in the direction. She received a message from Cammy. She responded back she was already enroute.

She didn't want Savannah to return either. She also knew she would personally need to take a look at what needed to be done. The 'package' Young Allison sent should arrive shortly. Only she was to deal with it.

John Henry went over the drone recon scans and images. He could detect no activity. Cam informed him she was about to approach the area on foot.

He wasn't sure it was a good idea until they knew more.

Savannah watched the trackers on the satellite overlay map. There were several things that bothered her.

"Where is Cam at?" Savannah asked.

John Henry thought he'd better come clean.

"She's approaching the target area on foot." John Henry said.

Savannah wanted to see her.

"Tie her phone in as a tracker." Savannah said.

Cam's position showed up. She was at the front of the building already.

"Send backup for Cam immediately." Savannah said.

As soon as she spoke, she saw all twelve of the other Terminator's trackers move. They were all going to go. She saw there were four drones very close to her. It appeared 'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' each picked up a wing man with missiles to back them up. They were ready to engage any targets with their miniguns. Their new wing men would unload their missiles.

It appeared it was about to be a 'maximum effort' response.

Young Allison watched as a group of drones formed into a large circle over the area. Any one of them could instantly engage any target in the combat zone. It reminded her of something from one of the many things Cameron had her study. It looked like a 'Lufbery Circle' or 'Wagon Wheel' from World War One. It was a combat technique that carried over in aerial combat, apparently right up until now.

"How is the high altitude drone coverage?" Young Allison asked.

Anna made sure there were drones at altitude which searched for HK drones that might approach the area.

"The sky is covered." Anna said. "John Henry reports nothing unusual on radar."

Young Allison always worried about an HK drone attack.

"Stay vigilant." Young Allison said.

Young Allison could see Savannah topless but she didn't look at the screen for pleasure. There was an operation underway. Cam was in danger.

Anna thought it showed good focus.

Young Allison was concerned about an enemy drone response. It could be anything from reconnaissance to a full blown attack. She detected something on one of the monitors from a drone at altitude. There was a fast moving target approaching the location.

"It looks like there's a bogey approaching the target area." Young Allison said.

Young Allison wondered if it was the 'package'. If it was, it was a little earlier than anticipated.

Anna checked. She didn't know where it came from. It was just there.

"It just popped up." Anna said.

CamNet quickly communicated with Anna. She filled her in with a limited amount of details.

"It was on an earlier operation for CamNet." Anna said. "It was pulled away from its task to come and assist in case more firepower was needed."

Young Allison wondered what the operation was. CamNet usually conducted operations for Cameron outside the scope of normal Resistance operations. Since it was the night, it could have involved some type of drug or sex trafficking operation. She thought back to the earlier influx of Cameron's Terminators and additional drones which arrived very quickly.

She was pretty sure whatever operation they'd all been on was disrupted by the Resistance operation. She figured the last drone was kept as long as possible where the operation was being conducted. It was going to arrive in time to back up the other drones if they needed to make their move. If a 'maximum effort' response was necessary, there would be one more drone to assist.

She thought about contacting CamNet and inquiring as to what was going on. She didn't think she should interfere in whatever it was. She was still a little concerned about whatever operation was being conducted was going to end up shorthanded.

Young Allison returned her focus to the current Resistance operation.

Vanna returned to Riley's quarters.

Allison ran up and hugged her when she entered. She was very worried about her longtime lover.

"Don't do that again." Allison said.

Vanna hugged her back and gave her a quick kiss. She simply told it like it was.

"It was the logical choice." Vanna said.

The girls didn't want to speak of the fact they were expendable in the timeline they were currently in. They all couldn't help but feel they were living on borrowed time.

Samantha relieved Vanna of her vest and M4.

Vanna hoped they didn't know she was trapped in the unstable energy bubble. It would worry Allison even more. She'd been worried she would be carried away with the energy bubble if it got sucked back into the portal. She didn't know what the situation was at the time. John Henry filled her in. She figured it would be a battlefield of some type.

Samantha knew Vanna made all the right choices. They were the choices made to best protect Precious and the baby Allison carried. She checked in with John Henry and was updated. She also sent another update to Riley. She didn't include the drama which unfolded.

"Savannah and Cammy are in the Command Center now." Samantha said.

Vanna thought Allison might want to go see Savannah. Maybe it would help calm Allison down some.

"I'll stay here with Precious." Vanna said. "You two can go see Savannah and Cammy. I already saw them."

Allison wanted to do it. She didn't think they would use such a drastic measure to pull them out of danger unless it had been life threatening. The thought of all the danger Savannah faced, bothered her immensely.

"Thanks, Vanna." Allison said and took off.

Samantha watched Allison go. She was a little surprised.

"She didn't take her clothes." Samantha said.

Vanna wanted to help Samantha out. She thought Samantha should go and take some to Allison.

"I know you want to be with Savannah before tomorrow." Vanna said. "You can take Allison some clothes."

Samantha decided she would do it.

"Let me get dressed first." Samantha said.

Vanna thought otherwise.

"I recommend you go just like you are now. You and Allison can dress in front of Savannah." Vanna said. "Savannah will notice you. You'll send a message to her."

Samantha looked around and grabbed some clothes. She didn't want to overstep on Cammy. She did want to be with Savannah. She was going to give it a try.

"Thanks." Samantha said as she headed out.

She hurried after Allison. She looked at the clothes she'd grabbed and hoped there was a full set for everyone. She really didn't know. The way she felt right now, she didn't really care.

Cam approached the building on foot. She didn't like how they got burned when the portal seemed to open and run out of control. It already looked like a Jinx because of it. She was afraid it was going to turn into a Double Jinx if it was still active in any way.

She could hear movement behind her. She'd wanted to approach the area alone.

Steve didn't want to startle Cam. He figured he should let her know in advance what was happening.

"Cam, we're coming to reinforce you by Savannah's order." Steve said.

Cam heard the request by Savannah.

She figured all twelve Terminators there with her would respond. She figured every drone would as well.

Cam was in the front of the building now as she moved through the smoldering rubble towards the target area. So far it appeared inactive. Young Allison made her aware the 'package' was available for delivery if it was needed.

Summer began to wonder what happened to Jan. She figured she would have been back by now.

She got up to go check. She spotted Jan looking out the door into the private area.

Jan wanted to go see Jesse with Sheila and Ally. She wanted to see the three of them together.

"What is it?" Summer asked.

Jan jumped.

"You scared me." Jan said.

Summer figured she knew why Jan was so jumpy.

"That's what happens when you're worried about getting caught." Summer said.

Jan didn't want to talk about the earlier episode.

"I didn't do anything bad." Jan said.

Summer saw the door to Sheila's small room was open.

"Do you want to spy on them?" Summer asked.

Jan looked nervous.

"I will if you come with me." Jan said.

Summer looked back to where Gail was.

"I don't want to get Gail in trouble." Summer said. "I'm going back."

Summer reached down and turned the deadbolt so the door couldn't physically close tight.

Jan wished she would have done it earlier.

"Don't spend too long, and don't get caught 'again'." Summer said as she walked back into the bedroom section.

Summer looked over her shoulder and winked at Jan.

Jan thought it was exactly what Jesse did. It was the 'OK' to 'look'. She looked back to the bedroom section and it was quiet. She slipped out into the private area. She made sure the door was physically held open this time. She headed to Sheila's room.

What could it hurt to look?

Wait.

With Sheila and Jesse both there, what would happen if they invited her in?

No.

She knew they wouldn't do anything so extreme. It was an alluring thought though.

Summer returned back to bed.

Gail looked over at her. She wanted to let Summer know she was in control.

"I'll give Jan three minutes and then I'll need to bring her back." Gail said. "I can only allow so much curiosity, but I must allow some. It's Cameron's order."

Summer smiled.

"You knew all along." Summer said.

Gail smiled back at her.

"So did you." Gail said.

Summer snuggled up to Gail and watched the movie.

Jan was back in just under three minutes. She snuggled up to Gail on the other side when she returned to bed.

Gail wondered if all movies could be watched like this. It was very soothing, comforting and peaceful. Maybe she could watch a movie like this with Jesse one time. She would like to do something else every now and then. Jesse always did the same things, in the same way.

She wanted to scan Jan and see how high her level of sexual excitement actually was. She decided she didn't need to scan her to know. It was clear it was extremely high. She really wondered why Summer didn't go as well.

Savannah watched all the monitors intently. Things were very dangerous for Cam. The overhead drone scans and footage showed no activity.

There was the sound of running feet in the hall.

Savannah looked up as Allison ran into the room. She was naked. She came and gave Savannah a hug and Cammy one too.

A few moments later Samantha appeared as well.

Savannah was surprised to see Allison show up naked and even more surprised to see Samantha show up the same way. It looked like Samantha carried a pile of clothes in her arms. It probably explained why Vanna was naked earlier as well.

Allison crowded in next to Savannah and watched with her. It wasn't a time for a lot of words. It looked like Cam was in a real danger zone.

Savannah noticed right away Samantha looked identical to Claire except for her face. It excited her greatly to see her. It seemed to be rapidly changing too. Samantha and her exchanged a series of looks. It was clear they were thinking the same thing. She needed to keep her focus.

She needed to think about Cammy who saved her life tonight first. She was aware if Cammy hadn't been there to hold on to her, she would have disappeared into the portal. It was Cam that caused her the most worry now.

Cammy eyed Samantha and Allison. She was a little jealous of Allison right now. She moved over to the other side of Savannah and did what Allison did.

Savannah didn't like the atmosphere which started to develop. Much to her surprise, Samantha came up behind her and started to give her a neck and shoulder massage.

"You look really tense." Samantha said.

Savannah ignored all of them and concentrated on Cam.

John Henry watched everything and relied on his server to keep him from being too distracted. JH kept everything under control. John Henry made every type of scan he possibly could of the four naked females in the Command Center.

Anna could see what Young Allison looked at on one of her screens.

"It seems Savannah is popular." Anna said.

Young Allison shot Anna a dirty look.

"Everyone loves Savannah." Young Allison said. "She almost died tonight. They're comforting her. It's a good thing. I would do the same thing if I was there with her."

Anna thought Young Allison liked seeing the 'close up' of the four naked girls together. She decided not to mention it. She wasn't going to ask her if she would do it naked like the other girls were. She knew Young Allison would.

"Cam is almost to the area where everything occurred at." Anna said.

Young Allison could see it. She also received confirmation the 'package' was available. She didn't see the drone tracking of it when it arrived or where it was exactly. It appeared CamNet masked the entire operation of her 'special request'.

It was there now if it was needed. They didn't know if the portal would reopen or not.

Cam moved through the rubble.

Tom and Steve hurried to catch up to her.

"Cam, wait a few seconds." Tom said.

Tom reached down and ripped a long section of Romex wiring out of a crumbled wall.

"Tie this around your waist." Tom said.

Tom tied the other end around his waist.

Cam secured it around her waist. She was aware Steve and Tom kept her from being sucked away earlier. They were there right now for her as well.

"Thanks." Cam said. "You and Steve saved me earlier too. I wouldn't have made it otherwise. Thank you."

Tom knew the two drones saved all of them.

"We made it because of the two drones." Tom said. "Any thanks needs to go to them. We were all 'goners'."

Cam nodded. She was aware Steve wouldn't have let go of her and Tom wouldn't have let go of Steve until the section of the wall he was holding ripped away. All three of them would have been sucked into the portal. It was the arrival of the drones which gave them enough force to get away.

"I won't forget it." Cam said.

Steve ripped out some more Romex cable and handed one end to Tom and tied the other end around himself.

Cam looked back at Steve and Tom.

"We look like mountain climbers." Cam said.

They all knew how close it was earlier.

"It's better to be safe." Tom said.

Cam called for low drone scans again. There was nothing detected. She moved up in back of where the wall and portal was. She was wary about moving to the side where everything was being sucked in. It appeared inactive now. The wall was no longer there.

"There's nothing here but rubble." Cam said.

She picked up a bent metal stud from a collapsed wall. She pushed it around in the rubble. She wanted to see what would happen if the area were re-energized.

"Turn the power back on." Cam said.

All the Terminators around her stopped in their tracks for a second, they all wondered the same thing. Was it a wise choice?

None of them thought so.

"Belay the request." It appeared Savannah and Young Allison issued the same response at the same time.

The directive echoed in John Henry's ears from two sources.

"Cam, are you sure about the request?" Savannah asked.

Everything looked wrecked to Cam.

"I think so." Cam said. "There is nothing here but rubble."

Savannah wasn't so sure.

"The electrical cables connected to the amplifiers must still be there. What will happen when they get juice again?" Savannah asked. "If that portal opens up again, we're not going to be able to close it this time."

Cam was aware of what arrived a short time ago.

"I think we can…." Cam said.

Savannah knew she referred to the 'package'. It was near the location and ready to be armed.

Savannah saw more Terminators were now at the location with Cam.

Young Allison didn't like what she saw unfolding. She wanted to know more about how the electricity was delivered to the location.

"Can the electrical feed from the power pole or underground connection be accessed to the building?" Young Allison asked.

Anna checked the blueprints and looked at the drone footage.

"It appears the electrical large electrical control box is still intact. It's located in the front right side of the building." Anna said.

Young Allison could see there were more Terminators there now.

"Send as many Terminators as it will take to the small electrical station at the building. Have them physically rip it out and destroy it first." Young Allison said. "It should prevent any possibility of electricity reaching the spot or any underground feed we don't know about."

Anna sent out the order.

"John Henry is taking care of it." Anna said.

Young Allison needed to make a choice. She'd already set things in motion. She wanted to be able to back her own play.

"I want Cam out of the area and to a different location. She may need to perform a task for me." Young Allison said. "I need it done now."

Anna passed the word along. The upset response was expected.

"It isn't going over well." Anna said.

Young Allison needed to be firm.

"Make it an 'order'." Young Allison said. "There's a bigger picture here. We need to be ready to respond."

Young Allison wanted to be able to get a 'sucker punch' in first if it was needed. She wanted to be able to respond before the enemy could. She planned to make it a 'Sunday Punch' if she could.

Savannah listened to everything and heard John Henry relay the commands.

Cam didn't want to leave.

"Make it an order." Savannah said. "There's more at play here."

John Henry received the same command from Savannah and Young Allison at the same time. He relayed the actual transmission to Cam. The 'Chosen Ones' had spoken, both of them.

Cam didn't like the request to withdraw. She said she wasn't done investigating yet.

She was surprised to hear Savannah and Young Allison 'order' the same thing at the same time.

She immediately untied from the cable around her waist.

"Tom has the lead." Cam said. "I have another assignment."

The Terminators there all wondered what it was all about. There must be something else they weren't aware of happening or about to happen. For Cam to be ordered away now in the middle of an operation signaled trouble.

"Is there an additional threat?" Tom asked.

Cam was already on her way out.

"I don't think it will be for us." Cam said.

Cam followed the instructions John Henry gave her.

She quickly arrived at the rear of the property. Three drones landed in a triangle around her. She was a little surprised at what she saw. There was a backpack nuke and two larger bombs. Right away Cam saw there was a three tiered response available. One of the other bombs was a B61-12 that Cameron recently acquired in Nevada. The other was a weapon withdrawn from service a decade ago. It was a very large B53-Y2 bomb. Cam knew it was a serious bomb. She wondered where Cameron obtained it and when. There was a larger drone which carried it. It appeared specially constructed. It was a serious weapon. It appeared to her everything was delivered as it was intended to be 'delivered'. It was just a matter of allowing it to reach the target.

CamNet was in direct communication with her and went over everything that would happen and in what order. The drones would carry the weapons in, once they were armed. It was a one way mission. The drones all volunteered. The drones would overload their power cells to be timed to the detonation time of the weapons as a backup to make sure they exploded.

Cam could see the significance of her mission now. It was Savannah's request that a Resistance Terminator or a human be used to arm the weapons unless there were none available. It was a safeguard to protect everyone. CamNet could still arm and deploy most of the weapons herself if there was an attack or to stop an attack. It was the last resort. Savannah made it clear to Cameron and CamNet. There needed to be safeguards. They all knew she didn't want another 'Skynet'.

Cam followed what CamNet instructed her to do. She would still need to wait to enter the final command on each weapon. They were all primed and ready to go as soon as she finished each sequence of numbers.

If the portal somehow opened again, whoever was on the other side of it was going to have a really bad day.

Savannah wondered about the package. She didn't know it was a three tiered response. She did know Cam was there now and ready to arm a nuclear weapon. She hoped it didn't come to anything so extreme. They needed to be prepared in case it did.

There were no drone images of the area where Cam was currently at. There was no body cam footage. The events which currently occurred were all to remain a 'dark operation'. None of the other Terminators were supposed to know what Young Allison and her asked for.

Young Allison indicated to CamNet she wanted to hit hard if they used a nuclear response. She didn't know how hard CamNet was willing to hit. She thought there would be a double response.

Nobody knew about the big weapon CamNet sent but Cam right now. It was large enough to destroy an entire city.

The report came back from Cameron's Terminators the electrical system into the building was physically disconnected from the grid and the associated equipment was destroyed.

John Henry informed Tom the power was about to go back on.

Tom and Steve were ready and sent everyone else a few buildings away.

John Henry allowed the grid to be re-energized.

"The grid is back online." John Henry said.

Tom checked the area for anything. He was pleased to see nothing was spotted. A drone did a low pass scan and it showed nothing.

John Henry received all the reports and conferred with CamNet.

"The threat is over." John Henry said.

Savannah was satisfied the threat was ended. She decided it was time to get cleaned up.

Samantha offered to make Savannah something to eat first.

The girls dressed in the Command Center.

Allison and Cammy spoke with each other off to the side.

"Cammy, I want to thank you for everything." Savannah said.

Cammy came over to Savannah and they shared a long hug.

"I'll see you later on." Cammy whispered in Savannah's ear.

Allison gave Savannah another hug.

"I'll see you later on if she gets tied up." Allison whispered. "You have a new adventure waiting."

Allison nodded in Samantha's direction.

Cammy and Allison left together.

Savannah looked at Samantha. She thought about the earlier offer for food. She decided to play things out some.

"What do you have that I can eat?" Savannah asked.

Samantha knew the direction things were headed.

"It depends on what you like." Samantha said.

It didn't look like the food Samantha prepared earlier was going to be consumed anytime soon.

"I like what you serve, surprise me." Savannah said.

Savannah and Samantha left together. They didn't stop at the commissary. They were both too 'hungry' to delay what they wanted.

Young Allison watched everyone leave the Command Center. It was clear what would happen. She saw what Samantha looked like naked. She looked like her mother. She watched Savannah and Samantha leave together. She tried not to think about it.

Anna checked everything one more time.

"They'll torch the building before they leave." Anna said.

Young Allison agreed with it.

"I want Cam to remain where she is until the building is burnt to the ground." Young Allison said. "The 'package' is to be returned after everything is gone."

Anna indicated the time.

"It's late." Anna said. "You need to sleep."

Young Allison wanted one more thing.

"I'll get cleaned up and go to bed, but I want to know when the 'package' is secured." Young Allison said. "I'm responsible for it until it's returned. Cam is to erase what she saw or did related to it."

Young Allison was sure her move to use nuclear weapons wouldn't be viewed as positive by some. She would do it again the same way. There were always going to be some who didn't like the way she did things.

Anna expected some other comment by Young Allison but there was none. It was clear she understood the seriousness of what could have occurred. The fact she wanted to know when the package was secured was another good sign. They still didn't know how hard CamNet was willing to hit.

The female Fanatic made her move. She crossed over the side street and then moved over to the sidewalk on the main street. She could see she was in front of the Gray. She doubted whether he could tell if she was male or female. She did wonder if there would be any gunshots directed at her. If the first one hit her, she figured she would never know. She always remembered no one ever heard the one that got them. It was because the bullet was traveling at supersonic speed.

She tried to look back, without looking back, as much as she could. She briefly thought the Gray attempted to hurry to move closer to her. When she glanced back again, he appeared to fall further behind. She was sure he was injured in some way.

She was almost to the parking lot. There was still no indication there was any type of emergency response in the store parking lot. She decided to proceed. She wanted to get to her old vehicle and open the trunk. She wanted the weapons in the box. When she went around the corner, she could see the Gray went across the street to the other side. It would put him a little further behind her. She really wanted a weapon before the Gray was able to move up along the main street and look into the supermarket parking lot.

As she rounded the corner, she looked for any of the yellow crime scene tape around the donation bin. There was nothing. What she actually saw surprised her. There was a female wearing the green dress she'd thrown on top of the corpse of one of the Grays she'd killed. There were two men with her. It appeared they were searching the three bodies that lay there. She wasn't sure what it was all about. She'd already taken their phones, weapons and any valuables they carried.

She gave them a wide berth and didn't look in their direction again. She didn't want them to take an interest in her. She still had her knife. She wanted one of the firearms in the trunk of the car. She looked back in the direction of where the Gray was at. She couldn't see him yet. It meant he couldn't see her.

She quickly approached her previous vehicle. She was a little worried when she noticed the window was down further than she'd left it. She moved up to the vehicle and looked. The door was no longer locked either. She quickly looked around her. It appeared someone had already gone through the vehicle. She opened the door and hit the trunk release. She moved to the trunk and looked. It was empty. The box with the weapons and phones was gone. Someone had been there.

'Damn.' The female Fanatic thought.

She remembered the vehicle that came around the corner right before she delivered the bomb. She thought about the Gray across the street. Maybe he'd already found his men were dead earlier and waited to see if whoever killed them returned to the scene. It was exactly what she'd done. He must have been who took the items.

Now she was a little worried. If it was the case, it meant he would know what she looked like. She knew what he looked like from his visit to the homeless camp. She still couldn't understand the lifestyle the females there chose to lead.

She quickly moved up to the store. She made sure none of the individuals from the donation bin followed her. She didn't see any of them. She went inside of the store. She looked back to see if she could see the Gray. She couldn't. She was tired and hungry.

The female Fanatic wanted to get some more anti-drowsy medicine and something to eat. She figured she could do it before Gray made his way over to the donation bin or the vehicle.

The Gray's pace slowed dramatically. He could feel some real pain in his back and leg since he'd tried to hurry. It was going to take him another couple of minutes to be able to look into the parking lot of the supermarket from across the street.

He continued his same pace and tried not to look off to the side as he neared the corner where he'd be able to see into the parking lot. He didn't see any flashing lights as he approached. He glanced over towards the donation bin. There was no yellow tape up around it.

'What the hell?' Gray thought.

What was there instead was a female wearing a green dress and two men. They appear to be checking over the bodies of his fallen men. She hadn't gone to the police after all. She probably went to the local homeless encampment and told someone there what she'd found. They were picking over the bodies like Scavengers. He knew they weren't going to find much.

If he had a weapon, he would kill all three of them right now. He looked around for the individual who'd been in front of him earlier. He didn't see them. He figured they'd already gone into the store.

He looked at the vehicle in the parking lot. He saw the trunk lid was open. It made him wonder why. He wondered if the three people scavenging over the dead bodies were somehow involved. It seemed most likely. He was sure at least one of them, probably the Bitch in the green, saw a little more go down.

Right now he needed another vehicle. He continued on to the corner and crossed at the signal. He didn't want to stand out by jaywalking. He'd already done it once to get a better look at the supermarket parking lot from the other side of the street.

There was a gas station on the corner. Currently there was no one getting gasoline. If there was, he could simply rabbit punch them and take their vehicle. If it was a female, he would toss her into the backseat of her car and tie her up. He might conduct a 'personal interview' with her later on. If nothing else, she would be a new candidate for the 'comfort bunk' at the next location he arrived at. He smiled at the thought. Either way, he was going to have her first. Things tended to get messy pretty quick.

There was a small convenience store as part of the gas station. He entered and looked around for something to help keep him awake. He was tired but didn't want to sleep yet. He also grabbed a prepackaged sandwich and a bottle of water. He paid the attendant and went back out along the side of the gas station and paused. He wanted to see what was happening in the parking lot before he made his move. So far the car with the trunk up was left in the same way. No one had approached it.

The Gray ate the sandwich and drank the water as he decided which vehicle he was going to take. He also wanted to see what the homeless trio did once they were done scavenging the dead.

Earlier:

The female Fanatic hurried into the store and found the anti-drowsy medication. She picked up two packets of it this time. She moved to the refrigerated section and looked at some of the food there. She picked up a package of lunch meat and a package of sliced cheese. She wanted to get a bottle of water too. She saw there were some energy drinks, as well as some protein drinks, in the same aisle. She took two of each. She quickly carried everything up to the cashier and paid for it. She paid the extra ten cents for a bag and put everything into it.

She moved over to the window and looked out after her transaction was complete. She could see the Gray across the street. She was a little surprised to see he continued on to the signal on the corner. It was probably because of the three homeless people behind the donation bin. She was actually surprised he didn't shoot all three of them.

It occurred to her at this point, he may be unarmed. He may have lost his weapons when his vehicle was overturned. There was no way for her to know for sure. Because he didn't confront the three people scavenging over his people, it only reaffirmed her belief. She might be better armed than he was right now.

She waited until the gas station blocked her view of him. She quickly exited the supermarket and moved over to the side closest to the gas station. She took up a position in the shadows and waited. She expected to see him emerge in front of the gas station. Nothing happened. She quickly drank one of the protein drinks.

She finally saw him come around the side of the gas station and lean up against the side of the building. She could see he was eating something and had a bottle of something to drink. She quickly deduced he was determining what exactly was going on. He also was probably deciding which vehicle he was going to take.

She continued to watch the Gray as he surveilled the supermarket parking lot. She opened the package of lunch meat and ate it. It was ham. She also ate half a dozen slices of cheese. She took a few more of the anti-drowsy tablets with the remainder of her energy drink. It still left her with a few items in the bag from what she'd just purchased.

The female Fanatic waited to see what was going to happen. She picked out which vehicle she would take after the Gray made his move.

CamNet's Terminators lost their drone coverage. They were now in the dark and told to hold in their current position. They knew where both of the individuals they tracked were at currently. They knew they wouldn't stay there for very long.

They needed to know what was happening. They didn't want their vehicle to be spotted by either one of the individuals. They'd received permission to advance for a closer look. They moved on foot to observe the shopping center. They were both in two different spots. They were in constant communication with each other.

They were aware of the three homeless people searching the three dead Grays

"They're both waiting to see what happens with the homeless people." The first Terminator said.

The second Terminator reached the same conclusion.

"The female Fanatic is waiting for the Gray to make the first move." The second Terminator said.

They were a little surprised as the three homeless people quickly left the area. They didn't run, but they left in a hurry. They weren't exactly sure why. They really would have liked to have a drone with them still. Maybe they'd found something they might want for themselves.

"It looks like the Gray is about to make his move." The first Terminator said.

CamNet's Terminators waited for the events to play out. They would really like to have a drone to provide them with some additional information.

Double Jinx

When things go wrong
Some think it can really suck
Others will perceive it
As some type of bad luck

Many live from day to day
As through life they try to skate
One thing they can't escape
Is their impending fate

Times of darkness over them loom
Everything is filled with gloom
It's all foresight in advance
Of their demise and doom

When bad thing happen
They are very hard to reverse
Call it what one wants
It's more than a curse

When one is caught up
They can't escape life's kinks
When nothing ever works out
Maybe they're stuck with a double jinx

Nobody
