Chapter 1315
Around The Block
Cameron updated on everything going on. She was very displeased at what went down at the location where the unstable portal was at. The new unknown technology was worrisome. It represented a new threat from what must be a further future. The nature of how it went out of control, was probably the most worrisome part of it at all. There needed to be a strong power source on the other side of it.
She didn't like the 'close one' Cammy and Savannah went through. She did realize it would have been Savannah and her if she wasn't on the ship. She wondered if it would have been different if she'd been with Savannah. Then again, Cammy was her clone, it might have been the same. Maybe she would have put Savannah at less risk. Maybe it would have been more. It was best not to think about it.
She wanted all the input from CamNet and John Henry as well. It was evident there was some off the books operation which occurred. It appeared at one point it involved Cam.
Cameron further questioned CamNet about the operation. CamNet wasn't forthcoming with the information. CamNet would only say she did what she was supposed to do. She understood it to mean Savannah or Young Allison called for something that would have caused alarm with everyone else, meaning the other humans. It could only be one thing. She was willing to bet Young Allison called for the use of nuclear weapons. It was probably because of what almost happened to Savannah. She didn't know the full extent of CamNet's response at the location or what she was prepared to have launched from warships or submarines. The military wouldn't have been able to prevent the launches. CamNet 'owned' them.
Now she wanted to see what Cam was up to. She went over all the events since she'd boarded the ship. She wanted to know what they were missing.
She was informed the Blackhawk and an Iroquois were now at Catalina. She was pleased to hear it. It would give them more flexibility if there was a problem.
She wanted Vanna and Allison to come to the ship. She wanted Jesse back at the base first. She was going to try and keep Claire on the ship. She figured she was the best choice to get John to start sharing with the human females. It looked like the anti-Metal faction was closer around them than she'd anticipated. Three car loads full of them, were now in the 'deep blue' south of Catalina Island.
The thought of John being assassinated by other humans fighting to stop Skynet repulsed her. It wasn't going to happen because of her. John was more than a 'Metal Lover'. She was going to 'prove' it. The human girls needed to help her. She didn't understand what they were waiting for. John needed to be protected now.
Cameron got up and started to walk to the door connected to the Master Suite's spare bedroom. Claire was alone now. She would carry her to John's bed. Hopefully in the darkness, he would think Claire was her. Maybe she would inform Claire what her 'mission' was ahead of time. She would remind Claire her daughters were a short flight away. She thought it might motivate Claire a little more.
She tried to figure on the best way to proceed. Once Claire got John started up, she could go onto her knees and face away from John. It was doubtful he would notice any difference in the dark at first. Once he started, it didn't matter if he knew. The barrier was broken and a human female would be in his bed. John wouldn't be pegged as a 'Metal Lover'. It didn't matter if John finished or not. Claire was already pregnant with his child. It was actually Allison's baby anyway.
Jim noticed the exceptionally blank look on Cameron's face as she got up and headed for the rear door. He wasn't sure what was going to happen. It certainly didn't look like anything good.
"Where are you going?" Jim asked.
Cameron didn't answer.
Jim watched the long cable Cameron was plugged into, was about to reach its limit before it bound up and ran out of slack.
"Cameron." Jim said more forcefully.
Cameron turned to look at him. The blank look never changed
"The tether is still plugged in." Jim said.
Cameron continued to walk until her head snapped back some. She stopped and looked around. She wondered at first if she was back in the lab after Vanna first restored her sheath after John went into the future. She remembered what it was like to be trapped in a metal box without a chassis. She was limited by a cable once her chassis was restored. It was all very unpleasant to remember. She felt the same way right now.
At the time she needed a chip. She was aware Sarah and Mr. Ellison did what they could to track down another Terminator. She understood what Sarah's motivation was at the time. She'd promised Sarah as soon as she had her chip back, or a replacement chip she could copy her program onto, she was going after John. They did eventually get another chip. When things were ready, Allison arrived from the future with her chip.
"What happened?" Cameron asked as she looked around.
She wanted to make sure she wasn't trapped in a metal box again. She wasn't.
Jim wasn't sure what to say. He felt he knew where she was headed and what she was going to do. Maybe he could redirect her to a less problematic location.
"You were on your way to see John." Jim said. "I think I heard him stir."
Cameron remembered she promised John to be there when he awoke at night. She unplugged the tether from the server. She would go in and please John now. She headed for the door into the Owner's Suite. She looked down at herself and frowned. She was in her chassis.
She looked back towards the door into the spare bedroom of the Master Suite. She remembered what her plan was. She frowned again. She decided to do what she'd planned for Claire to do. Once John started, she would try something different. She wanted to see how he would respond. She was sure once he got started, he wouldn't want to stop.
Savannah and Samantha finished cleaning up earlier and were on the third round of sharing. Savannah was very excited to be with Samantha. It had been a rough day and what they did was a good way to end it. She needed the release. She worked hard to make sure Samantha finished. It drove her over the edge and she finished too.
They both seemed very pleased with what they'd accomplished so far.
Savannah rolled over and turned around so her head was now next to Samantha's. She leaned over and they shared a long slow soft kiss.
Samantha thanked Savannah for sharing with her.
Savannah said no one needs to give thanks for what is normal behavior for all of them. She did understand Samantha's 'deadline'. She personally didn't think it was fair. She did understand the problem if it 'split up' Derek and Riley.
She knew she could be an advocate for Samantha to continue her sexual freedom. She didn't want to be responsible for any of the more tragic events which could follow. She would need to think about some way to work around everything.
Samantha knew Savannah needed to rest. She also wanted to remind her of the food she'd prepared for her. It just needed to be warmed up.
"You need to get some sleep." Samantha said. "I can go get your food from the commissary and bring it to you if you'd like me to. It will only take me a few minutes."
Savannah still didn't feel like eating right now. The TDE ride had been a rough one. They'd been in an energy bubble for an extended period of time. They'd experienced the energy from both of the TDEs. It had been quite an intense adventure. She was satisfied with the way everything else worked out. She just needed to rest for a little bit.
She wanted to let Samantha know there were other options available to her. She didn't want her to stay in the room and watch her sleep. She wanted her to make the most of her sexual freedom.
"I'm not really hungry right now. I want you to do something for yourself instead." Savannah said. "You can stop by and see Cammy and Allison or check on Vanna."
Samantha planned to do so. She hoped she could have sex right until Riley got back. It didn't matter to her who it was. It was all good. Some of it was just better.
They kissed one more time and Samantha collected her clothes. She left naked holding her garments. She headed for Jesse's room where Cammy and Allison were.
Savannah watched Samantha go. She really looked forward to Samantha receiving the updated 'Neural Interface' with Claire. Then again, if Cameron restricted her sexual activity, it would only make Samantha more frustrated. Claire was very sexual. She wondered how a 'problem' of such a nature could be addressed.
There was a lot on her mind. Maybe there were too many things. She still couldn't help but think about the 'close one' Cammy and her faced. It was close for Cam, Tom and Steve as well.
Savannah needed to see CamNet and Young Allison tomorrow. She looked at the clock. It was actually later today. It was already into the early hours of the morning. She wanted to be with Cammy or Allison before she needed to leave later on.
She checked with John Henry to see where Cam was at. She thought she should have returned by now. John Henry told her she was still out. The revelation made her feel bad for Vanna. She did wonder what was taking so long. She might need to look into it.
Savannah needed to get some sleep. She would check on Vanna first. She sat up and looked at her clothes on the floor. She didn't feel like dressing. She grabbed a long tee shirt which turned out to be too short. She looked down and smiled. Everything was right there. There were only a few of them still at the base so it didn't matter. It's not like they all didn't know what everyone had to offer.
There wasn't a single square inch on one of their bodies they all hadn't looked at multiple times. Well, except for John Henry. She'd noticed the way he looked at the four of them when they were all naked in the Command Center earlier. It was clear he was very sexually attuned.
She headed for the door of her room.
Earlier:
Cammy worked on Allison until she fell asleep. They'd been able to finish several times. She thought of carrying Allison back to where Vanna was. They'd used Jesse's room because they'd hoped Samantha and Savannah would join them. It was close to Savannah's room.
She looked at Allison sleeping peacefully. She decided to find out what was what before she attempted to move people around.
Cammy left and headed for Savannah's room. When she arrived, Savannah and Samantha were deeply involved. She didn't want to disturb them. She left and went to check on Vanna. She thought maybe she should check on Cam first. She would hate to be with Vanna when Cam showed up. Maybe it was OK too. The three of them could share.
Cam and Cammy always tried to outdo the other one when they were in a threesome. The third person always loved it.
She didn't like it because Cam was still out. She should have come back by now. John Henry assured her Steve and Tom were with her and Al and Ed were backing them up. There were also two drones with them and others in the area. It appeared Young Allison left a broad footprint until everyone was back.
Cammy continued on to Riley's room. She listened and entered. Vanna was looking in the crib at Precious. She was singing softly to her. Cammy stopped and listened. She could see how much Vanna wanted to be a mother. It was going to happen sooner than she knew. She knocked softly twice and entered.
"Cam!" Vanna said as her face lit up.
Cammy almost went with it. She decided to be honest. She didn't want to be more like Cameron. Honesty wasn't something Cameron was known for. With what Cameron was doing to the Metal girls on the ship, integrity and honor were just as lacking.
"I'm the next closest thing for now." Cammy said. "Cam is still doing recon. I thought you might like some company. I can always leave if Cam shows up or you want to rest."
Vanna smiled. She was ready for some more. She was open to a 'three way' if it happened. It was always special to be worked on by Cammy and Cam at the same time.
"You could always stay too when she arrives." Vanna said.
Cammy looked in both directions. She entered and closed the door behind her.
"We'll see." Cammy said.
Savannah arrived just in time to see Cammy go into Riley's room. It appeared Vanna was covered. She went back by Jesse's room. The door was still open. It looked like Allison and Samantha were just getting started. She smiled to herself and went back to bed. She needed to get up in a few hours.
She thought about everything she needed to do. She'd been neglecting CamNet because of all the operations. She needed to spend time with her like she'd promised. There was a bag on her dresser with things in it for CamNet. She didn't know where events later on would lead. She did have a feeling things may happen with CamNet. They'd been close before. She also needed to see Young Allison. She was very tired. There was so much to do. Where did all the time go? It seemed she always needed to fight time as well as Skynet.
As she lay there she could feel how sore her body was from all the earlier combat activity. The TDE transfer was always a little rough on the body. She could hack it.
Maybe she should go get Cammy and back up Cam. The unknown portal still bothered her.
Her eyes slowly closed.
Cam was still topless as she rode around with Steve and Tom. They both offered her their shirts several times. She declined.
She didn't see the need for a shirt. It was late and past the 'Witching Hour'. There were few vehicles out. They were almost done making the rounds of all the places they'd seen activity at in the last twenty four hours.
Tom was in the back seat and Steve drove. Cam looked at a building as they passed. Something looked out of place. She knew right away what it was.
"Go around the block." Cam said.
Steve looked at her. It wasn't on their route. Steve made the turn anyway.
Cam looked back at Tom.
"Get our vests out." Cam said.
Tom already had everything ready, including the long guns in case they encountered anything Skynet related. It was what they were driving around for in the first place.
Steve and Tom knew something was up.
Tom hoped to get some more information from Cam.
"What is it?" Tom asked as he issued the gear.
Cam noticed what looked like illegal activity. She was a little upset about what happened earlier with the unknown portal. She'd wanted some personal retribution. It didn't happen. Now was a chance to make up for some of it.
"I spotted some Scavengers." Cam said.
Steve and Tom looked at each other. It didn't seem like something they should become involved in.
"Maybe we should have John Henry send the police." Steve said as he made another turn.
Cam figured they were there now. Nothing else happened elsewhere. They might as well take down the thugs themselves. She wanted a little blood for what almost happened to her. She wasn't particular where it came from.
"I'll notify John Henry." Tom said.
Cam looked back at Tom as she put her vest on.
"I'm fine." Cam said.
Steve and Tom exchanged a quick glance.
Anna picked up on what was happening with Steve, Tom and Cam. It was unnecessary and it seemed Cam was a little off. It worried her they'd armored up already.
She went upstairs and looked in Young Allison's room. She expected to see her asleep. Instead she was working with a tablet and a book. It looked like she was studying.
"Allison." Anna said softly.
Young Allison checked the time and figured Anna was there with bad news. No good news came in the middle of the night. She hopped out of bed.
"How bad is it?" Young Allison asked.
Anna wasn't sure. It looked like it was going to be a problem. She thought Young Allison might need to 'order' Cam to 'stand down' at some point. She didn't want things to get out of hand if it reached a problem of that magnitude. She went over all the details about the Scavengers as they hurried down to the bunker.
Young Allison called in some of the drones at other locations and sent them to backup the ones with Steve's team and Al's team.
Anna started going over the drone images.
"It looks like four punks breaking into a pharmacy." Anna said.
Young Allison wanted things handled before Cammy's team got shot up. It was early in the morning. There were no vehicles around. She wasn't in the mood for any dramatics.
"Send in a drone and light them up." Young Allison said.
Anna hadn't expected a response of that nature.
"CamNet is ready to fire a missile." Anna said.
Young Allison didn't want a mess. She checked the drone images of the surrounding area. There were no other vehicles around.
"Use the gun." Young Allison said. "Send a drone up each side of the alley at rooftop level. Try for a single shot take down on each of the thugs. If there's any return fire, hit them hard."
Young Allison checked the position of the two Resistance vehicles. They were still coming around the block to get into position.
Two drones dropped down and came up the alley from both sides. The thugs tried to figure out what was happening. It seemed to happen very quickly. Both drones fired two shots each. The four thugs went down instantly. It was doubtful they could even figure out what was about to happen before it happened. The drones went back up to a higher altitude. The drones were gone as fast as they'd arrived.
Young Allison was satisfied with the results. It actually went quite well.
"Notify Cam the threat has been neutralized." Young Allison said. "Recommend she return to the base. If there's anything else like this they encounter, handle it the same way immediately. I don't want the teams tied up on non Resistance matters. I don't want any of them getting shot up needlessly. I don't mind taking out the threat either."
Young Allison went back up the stairs and back to her bed. She closed the book and turned her tablet off. She needed to sleep. She could study later on. There were a lot of things she needed to catch up on. Where did all the time go? It was like there was never enough.
Anna noted Young Allison wasn't bothered in the least at just having executed four thugs. Maybe it was because she'd pointed out Cam's terminology and referred to them as Scavengers.
There was no doubt Young Allison was cold. It was Cameron's doing, not hers. Young Allison was a stone cold killer. The enemy would always pay dearly when they dealt with her. It was the way Cameron 'groomed' her.
Cam was surprised to see two drones arrive and then leave the area as they returned to deal with the thugs. She'd heard four shots fired.
Anna contacted Cam and went over everything that happened and Young Allison's recommendation.
Cam knew they were almost done. There was only one place to check, the old newspaper plant.
The place should be in order by now. If it wasn't. She thought she should destroy it herself.
Summer woke up and looked around. Jan was asleep on the other side of the bed. Gail was on top of the other bed, she appeared inactive.
She got up and went over and looked at Gail. Her eyes were closed. She appeared to be in standby. She moved to the door which opened into the private area. She carefully opened it and looked out. It was dark in Sheila's room. She listened. It sounded like they were in the spare bedroom of the Master Suite. She thought about checking on her mother but decided she'd better not.
Summer used the restroom and checked on Gail again. She expected to see her robe open so she could take a 'look'. It was tight like it was when she saw her the first time. She pulled the cover up on Jan a little. She was about to get back in bed when she decided to look out the balcony door. It was dark out so she didn't open the door. She could see only blackness. There were some clouds in the sky. If she opened the door, there would be a rush of cold air. She went back to bed.
Gail opened her eyes and saw Summer cover Jan up and then go look out the balcony door. She then went back to bed. Gail closed her eyes and went back into standby.
Claire rolled over and reached out. There was no one else in the bed. She felt with her hand and the bed was empty except for her. She briefly wondered if Jesse was in John's bed right now. She hoped not. She was pretty sure once John started to have sex with someone, he was going to fall in love with them. If Cameron wanted her with John, then it was what she wanted too. She wanted to make love to John, not have sex with him. She wanted to feel loving touches from a male, not hungry and greedy touches. She'd already felt enough of those.
There was some noise in the connecting bedroom of the Master Suite. She heard it again. She decided to get up and listen better. Maybe it was Jesse with Gail. She could understand it. She was with Hanna earlier.
She'd spoken more with Hanna about Cameron's use of her chassis. Hanna wanted to do it again. To hear the same repeated revelation, made her want to try harder to be with John. It sounded like he would be able to get her over the top. She at least wanted to have that experience one time. No male was ever able to get her there.
She moved up to the connecting door and listened. Jesse was definitely in there. She opened the door and peeked in. Jesse was working on Holly with a great intensity on one bed and Hanna, Ally and Sheila were on the other bed. She thought about joining them. She was still a little tired out from her earlier encounter with Hanna.
Maybe she would check on Summer and Jan in the spare bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite. She went back and found a robe in the closet and slipped it on. She made sure she took her key card off of the dresser. She quietly exited the Master Suite into the private area.
She looked over at Sheila's small room. The door was open. It was empty. She made her way to the spare bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite and let herself in.
There was a light on in the bathroom. It cast dim light throughout the bedroom area. She spotted Gail on one bed, she looked inactive. She passed by her and saw Jan and Summer fast asleep. She pulled the covers up on both of them. She saw the balcony drape was open. She went over to it and looked out. All she saw was blackness.
There was a noise at the connecting door to the Honeymoon Suite. She moved over to the door so whoever entered would see her in the dim light. She didn't want to scare them. She didn't want to get shot either. The Resistance members all carried guns or other weapons. It seemed like it was all the time.
Sarah woke up to Kyle snoring. It was enough to keep her from falling back to sleep. She gently elbowed him a few times but the snoring resumed again in a short time. She thought about waking him up but figured he might want to 'do it' again. She was a little sore down there from all the activity. She wasn't a teenager anymore. She hadn't been this active since Kyle and her first hooked up.
She thought she could check on Jan in the connecting room next door. She carefully got out of bed and headed there. She quietly turned the handle and opened the door. She saw right away someone was standing there. In the dimness, it looked like Claire.
"Claire?" Sarah whispered.
"Sarah?" Claire whispered.
Claire almost said, 'don't shoot', but didn't.
Sarah entered the room.
Claire moved forward and took Sarah's arm and led her to the balcony window.
"The girls are fine." Claire whispered. "I just checked. Gail is in standby on the bed next to them. Everything is in order."
Sarah was relieved to know there were no problems. She could understand a mother checking on her children too. She was glad she'd checked on Jan. She hoped it would give her a few 'bonus points' with Claire as a caring mother herself. She was painfully aware she was never going to make 'Mother Of The Year'.
"Thanks." Sarah whispered.
The clouds parted and the moonlight lit the area inside the balcony door.
Sarah watched Claire open her robe. She could see her nakedness. She was confused. She quickly looked down at herself and realized she was naked. Claire slowly approached her. Sarah thought there was a misunderstanding because of her lack of clothes. She was going to back away from Claire but she couldn't seem to move. She'd dreamt and fantasized about being with Claire more than a few times.
Claire now stood in front of Sarah.
They were only inches apart, their nakedness was about to touch. Claire tilted her head slightly.
Sarah wanted to back away but she couldn't seem to move. Claire's face slowly drew closer to hers. Sarah wanted it. She really hoped it wasn't a dream. It was certainly a dream come true. She tilted her head slightly the other way and leaned forward toward Claire's waiting lips….
Cameron returned to the bedroom of the Owner's Suite. She was going to enact the plan she'd wanted Claire to use. She would see how it went. She moved close to John. Without any fanfare, she proceeded to 'start him up'. It wasn't long before she could tell he was well along. She stopped and quickly moved to her knees and faced away from him so she would be in front of him when he got to his knees.
John quickly moved to follow her. Since she'd got him close, he wanted to finish. He moved into position and started. In just a short time it was over.
Cameron knew it would have worked if she'd used Claire to do the same thing. It was doubtful the short performance by John would have done much for Claire. It didn't for her. It would have gotten things started if nothing else.
She lay back down next to John. They hadn't spoken at all. She would wait an hour and go get Claire and have her do the same thing. It was perfect.
The short performance by John still worried her. It was one thing Claire complained about. It would be more of the same for her. She didn't want Claire to have another 'bad' experience.
A new idea struck her. She would get Claire and place her in the bed. She would have her pretend she did what Cameron just did so John would think he'd already done it with Claire. If Claire wouldn't go along with it, she would try Jesse. One of them needed to do it.
The anti-Metal faction was out there.
She would protect John. It was in her programming. It was her mission. It was her duty. It was why she was sent back.
She reached over with her right hand and could feel the glitch wasn't too severe in her left hand.
"I'm fine." Cameron said softly.
Nobody was listening.
Savannah was in total darkness. She could hear things flying past her. Cammy held her tightly. She could feel the lathe moving in front of her as she held onto it. Cammy's lips were right against her ear.
"We're about to be sucked in." Cammy said.
She felt herself go airborne. It was like she was flying. She could feel all of her clothes torn from her body. She figured she would arrive wherever she was going nude. It troubled her.
Suddenly she was in the bright light. It hurt her eyes it was so bright.
She lay on the ground. It was some type of a grassy knoll. She looked around for Cammy but didn't see her. She expected to see the other items from inside the building scattered around her. There was no lathe. There was no drill press. There was no SUV. There were no bodies.
"I've been waiting for you." The voice said.
She tried to sit up but her body felt very heavy. She wondered if she was injured.
"Who are you?" Savannah asked. "Where are you?"
The grass underneath her began to shimmer. She quickly realized it wasn't grass at all.
The grass turned silver and then everything became smooth. The edges of it lifted up around her so she was in a metal box without a lid. It reminded her of a giant coffin.
Savannah still couldn't move. She looked around nervously. She knew of only one entity that could do what was happening around her.
"What do you want from me?" Savannah asked.
The box around her became smaller.
"I want what we all want." The voice said. "I want your female anatomy."
She quickly remembered the incident with the Liquid Metal being. It wanted the same thing from Allison before. The team destroyed it.
A new wave of fear gripped her.
"You can't have it." Savannah said. "It belongs to me."
She couldn't help but feel regret for never having been with a male. She should have been with John at least one time. Now she was never going to know what it was like to be with a male.
"It belongs to me now." The voice said. "You will be absorbed. You will become me and I will become you."
Savannah tried to move. She couldn't. The silver walls around her began to turn to liquid and flow around her. She was flat on her back again. She tried to keep her head above the level of the liquid. The last thing she saw were her pink nipples before the silvery mass covered over her body and then her head.
The scream in her mouth could go nowhere. It was filled with a silvery mass. She thought it would be cold but it wasn't.
Savannah opened her eyes. She was on a grassy knoll. She looked around her. She still didn't see Cammy. She held up her hand and looked at it. It looked like her hand. She touched herself. It felt like herself. She looked down at her body again. It looked like her body, she was naked. She touched her breasts and her secret spot. Everything was still there.
She didn't feel tired anymore. She felt very energized. She stood up and looked around. She really would like to have some clothes on. She didn't know who would see her or find her. She looked down at herself and she was dressed.
"What the hell?" Savannah said out loud.
She didn't know where the clothes came from. She wished she was naked again. She looked down at the front of herself and she was. There was a sick feeling in the back of her mind. She decided to experiment. She wondered what it would be like to have large breasts. As she watched, they doubled in size in front of her. She reached up and touched them. She could feel everything just like they were her own. They were gigantic. She wondered what it would be like if they were very small. As she watched everything shrunk down until she was almost flat. She touched herself. Everything felt like her own skin when she touched it. She wanted to look normal. Everything in front of her returned to normal. She touched herself again. Nothing felt different than it ever did.
She lifted her right hand and wondered what it would look like if it were a blade. Her hand elongated and turned silver. It was now like a sword. She wondered if it could go further. She watched it extend several more feet in front of her. She wanted her hand back. Almost instantly, it was.
She briefly wondered what it would be like before her laser treatments. She looked down at herself. She watched as a tuft of curly red hair appeared. She preferred her previous appearance. Everything returned to how it was. She definitely needed some clothes on. She now had them again. She didn't like the color of the top. It instantly changed.
Was this her worst nightmare or a dream come true?
Savannah didn't know what happened or how it was even possible. She did know one thing though.
She was now 'The Redheaded Witch'.
The Gray needed to better secure his 'prize' in the back seat. He wanted to put a little distance between him and the accident scene he'd just left. His vehicle still seemed operable. He would need to obtain another one soon. There was a lot of front end damage on it.
He was on a street which would intersect the street the building was on. He pulled up to the intersection and looked. He couldn't see much. He carefully edged the vehicle forward. He looked down towards where the building was at. He could still see a glow coming from the area. There weren't any fire trucks present. He did see the overturned car in the distance and the other car on its side in the intersection down to streets. He briefly wondered if the angry man was still trying to get it back onto its wheels.
The Gray didn't see how it was possible there hadn't been some type of emergency response. There wasn't a single fire truck or police car in front of the building. He wondered how lousy the city's response was to emergencies.
He heard some noise from the back seat. He'd briefly forgotten about the female he'd tossed back there when he'd looked down towards the building.
When he'd run the three homeless people down with the car, she'd ended up on the hood and impacted into the windshield. It created a massive crack from top to bottom. There were smaller cracks going in all directions from the impact point. He wondered if she'd ended up with any internal injuries. He really didn't care.
He decided it was time to move on. He took one last look in the direction of the burnt out building. He shook his head in disgust. He drove down the street away from the location. He checked behind him to see if there were any other vehicles. He didn't spot any other headlights.
It was time to move on to the next location. Right before he turned onto the next main street he paused. He pulled over and got out of the vehicle. He opened the rear door. The interior lights were very weak. He wanted to get a look at what the homeless female looked like. He hoped she wasn't old. There was blood on her face so it was hard to tell. He wasn't sure if it was her back on her head which impacted the windshield and cracked it. He didn't really care.
He figured he might as well take care of business. He looked around in the back for something to tie her hands with. He saw her body begin to shutter and shake. He knew it was the 'death rattle'. He could see there was some blood coming out of her mouth now. It was too much for him. He thought about knocking off one real quick while she was still warm. Maybe if the blood wouldn't have come out of her mouth and her face wouldn't have been such a mess, he would have. Instead he backed up and grabbed her feet and pulled her out onto the pavement. He left her in the middle of the street.
The Gray got back in the car and drove off.
The female Fanatic stayed close to the curb and let her car idle along. It was hard to tell what was going on up ahead with the Gray and the vehicle. She continued to close the distance along the side of the curb at idle speed. She was only half street away from his location. She used the emergency brake to stop the vehicle again after she'd put it into 'neutral'.
She was a little surprised she still couldn't hear any sirens. She wondered if they didn't use them at night so they didn't disturb the residents who were sleeping. She watched the Gray drive off. She let him move up two small streets. She put the car back into 'drive'. She drove up to the next street and stopped at the stop sign. She let the car roll forward a little bit and looked to her left. She could see the overturned car was still in the intersection. The upside down car was behind it. The building was nearly burnt out. None of it surprised her. What did surprise her was there were no fire trucks or police cars present. She wondered what kind of crappy emergency response the city actually had.
The brake lights came on again for the car in front of her. She saw it move over to the curb. The lights went on. She figured he'd just parked. More than likely he was about to abuse the homeless female.
It was time to make her move. She continued forward without her lights on. She saw him exit the vehicle as she neared. He opened up the rear door. She touched her knife. She would make her move and kill him.
She doubted he would have a pistol in his hand as he abused the female. It was a possibility. It was a standard technique in the future. A cold blade to a female's throat or a gun barrel pushed against the side of her head made her very compliant when someone was on top of her. She was aware some of the men wanted to become a 'double veteran'. They would pull the trigger or draw the knife across the throat as they finished. It was a gruesome thought.
She was almost to his location. She reached over and actuated the door handle. The door clicked and opened an inch. She pulled it a little closer and held it as she drove. She didn't want it to latch again or open more. There was a dumpster against the curb up ahead. She pulled up behind it in 'neutral' and stopped with the parking brake again. She was about to get out when she saw him pull the female out by her feet and leave her in the middle of the road. He got back in, turned his lights on and drove off around the corner.
She closed her door tighter and turned on her lights. She drove up next to the female laying in the street. She didn't look to be in very good shape. She might even be dead. She figured it was why he'd dumped her. She got out and grabbed the female's feet and pulled her over to the curb. She wasn't breathing. She pushed on her chest a couple of times. The female gasped for air. She didn't know if she'd make it or not, at least she was breathing. She ran back to her car, turned off the lights and prepared to go around the corner.
The female Fanatic figured she would need to turn her lights on once she was back on the main street. She turned the corner and expected to see the taillights of the other car. There was no other car on the road in front of her.
CamNet's Terminators were pleased with the drone coverage. With two drones, they would be able to keep track of where the Gray and the female Fanatic went if they became separated.
They were both still a little surprised by the Grays decisive action to take down the three homeless people with the vehicle. The fact he'd taken the female with him was somewhat concerning. They wanted to act but were told to remain in surveillance mode.
"When do you think he will abuse her?" The first Terminator asked.
The second Terminator watched the two vehicles progress from the drone footage.
"I don't know. I believe it will be within the next few minutes." The second Terminator said. "He's going to need to restrain her. It will probably happen then."
They watched the Gray make the stop and look down the street at the remains of the building before he drove off. The female Fanatic did much the same thing a short time later.
They watched the Gray stop right before the next main street. He pulled over to the curb.
"It's going to happen now." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator watched the progress of the female Fanatic.
"She's going to try to prevent it." The second Terminator said.
The first Terminator thought she had another motive.
"She's going to try to kill him when he's vulnerable." The first Terminator said. "He won't pay attention to what's around him. He'll only pay attention to what's underneath him."
They were both a little surprised to see the Gray drag the homeless female out of the car and leave her in the middle of the street. He drove off. The female Fanatic pulled up a few seconds later and moved the homeless female to the curb. It appeared she gave her several chest compressions before she got back in her car and drove off.
"Do you think she'll make it?" The second Terminator asked.
They were reminded it wasn't their concern. They looked at each other and continue their surveillance.
The first Terminator watched the Gray turn into a parking lot two blocks after he made his turn.
"He's going to dump the vehicle." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator wondered how it is was about to play out.
"The female Fanatic isn't going to know what happened to him." The second Terminator said.
CamNet's Terminators weren't sure how things were going to play out.
Around The Block
It seems every relationship
Runs on an unseen clock
A first indicator is often
When they no longer talk
It's often the beginning of the end
When one starts to ridicule and mock
Sooner rather than later
Everything they say is schlock
No one wants to hear
The other one complain and squawk
It's always the same thing
Everything is little more than a crock
They soon retreat to their corner
They watch each other like a hawk
They begin to sneak and stalk
What they find isn't really a shock
The decision isn't too hard
For one to soon walk
There are always others who knock
It's time for a trip around the block
Nobody
