Chapter 1316
Moonlight Kiss
Steve approached the old newspaper plant in the SUV. Their plan was to come in from the east side since it was the side he'd entered from the last time. He should be able to spot any changes.
Cam checked with John Henry as they neared.
"What's the status of the location?" Cam asked.
John Henry checked everything twice prior to their arrival.
"There's nothing new since you were last there." John Henry said. "I've checked the expanded surveillance coverage and the drone footage, everything is unchanged."
Steve didn't see the need to stop if it was the case. After the incident with the potential future Scavengers, he knew Cam was looking for a fight. He didn't see the need to force the issue.
"I think we can return to base." Steve said. "Everything here is the same."
Cam didn't like how the enemy slipped an operation in on them before. She wanted a closer look.
"I might need to take a look on foot." Cam said. "I can go by myself."
Tom didn't think it served any purpose. He didn't think Cam should go alone if she decided to still go.
"If you insist, we must accompany you." Tom said. "It will give everyone better support."
Cam could do it by herself. She didn't think she needed any assistance. She didn't need anyone to babysit her.
"It's unnecessary." Cam said. "I can do it alone."
Steve wanted to make it clear.
"Maybe so, it's still going to happen anyway." Steve said. "Sometimes it's nice to have help."
Even without any direct input from Savannah or Young Allison, Steve and Tom knew what they would want. It certainly wasn't for Cam to go off on her own alone.
John Henry received updated tracking information.
"There are six drones over your location now, Cam. Two more are on the way." John Henry said. "They needed to rearm."
'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' did rearm after the nuclear weapons were returned to their storage locations. They still needed to travel some distance to go there and get back.
Cam didn't think they needed so much support. Things shouldn't be a big deal if nothing was detected on any of the surveillance equipment.
"We're good." Cam said. "I'm just going to take a quick look around."
Steve and Tom figured if Cam went looking for trouble, she would find it.
The clouds parted a little further. The moonlight flooded through the balcony door. Claire and Sarah were fully illuminated.
It was clear there was an inner calling with both of them.
Claire and Sarah moved closer together.
Their lips touched.
Claire's hands reached down and brought Sarah's hands up to her breasts. She felt it was only fair since Sarah allowed all of the girls to do the same thing earlier. She felt it was actually directed at her. All the other girls got a bonus feel out of it.
Sarah tried to resist the kiss but she couldn't. When Claire brought her hands up to touch her breasts, she couldn't stop. It had been a long time since she held another female's breast in a sexual manner. She realized she probably sent out a lot of mixed messages when she allowed all of the girls to cop a feel in the elevator on the way back from the spa. Maybe it was exactly what she wanted to do. She'd clearly received a response.
They both wildly touched each other's breasts as they shared a deep kiss. It was a kiss which indicated they both wanted more.
It was something Sarah hadn't done in years. She clearly remembered the last time it was. It was in Central America. She was living in a mercenary camp to learn as many skills as she could about survival and how to make bombs, use weapons and kill.
She was 'passed around' by the various men in the camp. It was the price she needed to 'pay' to protect John. John was very young at the time. There were a few other local females who visited the camp frequently. She was with them whenever she could get the chance. They always could give her a finish. It was seldom any of the men ever did. It was probably because she really didn't want to be with them. John needed to be protected. She did what she needed to do to do it.
There was a noise over to the side of them. They both stopped and backed up. They were in the bedroom right in front of their daughters. In the dim light they could see Gail get up. She rapidly headed in their direction.
Gail was in standby. There were some 'different sounds' from what she'd set as the 'normal sounds' she would ignore to remain in standby.
She looked over and there were two figures by the balcony window. They both scanned back as larger than Summer and Jan. She quickly got up. She needed to remind herself they were on the ship. It should be low risk.
She was at the location in two seconds. She'd identified the 'threats' as Claire and Sarah before she arrived. She figured they must be there to check on their daughters. She could see Sarah was naked. She made sure the scan was saved. Claire wore a robe. It was open at the front, her nipples were very erect. A visual scan of both of their breasts showed a high state of sexual arousal. She would like to do a physical scan of both of them as well. She decided it wasn't the proper time.
"Is everything alright?" Gail asked. "I haven't detected any threats."
Sarah and Claire looked at each other.
"We were just checking on the girls and 'ran into each other' by chance." Sarah said. "I see everything is fine here."
Claire closed up her robe.
"Everything looks good. You're doing a fine job for us, thank you." Claire said.
Gail quickly stripped off her robe and draped it around Sarah.
"Nudity doesn't bother me." Gail said. "You didn't expect to run into each other. There are more robes."
Sarah was surprised at how fast Gail removed her robe and draped it around her. In the moonlight, she could see the enormous size of Gail's breasts just a foot and a half from her. She'd seen them earlier in the spa. Right now they were directly in front of her. She really wanted to touch one just to see what it felt like. They were at least four times the size of hers. She was unsure what to say. Maybe it was best to keep it simple.
"Thanks." Sarah said. "I'm going back now."
Sarah turned to leave.
Gail didn't want either of them to worry about what she may or may not have seen. Everyone was entitled to some private time.
"What happens on the ship, stays on the ship." Gail said. "Those are Cameron's orders."
Gail whispered something in Claire's ear. She turned and walked away. She retrieved another robe. She slipped it on and lay back down on the bed.
Sarah and Claire were really unsure about everything.
Sarah wanted to know what Gail told Claire.
"What did she say to you?" Sarah asked.
Claire smiled.
"She told me Sheila's room is unoccupied and will be for several more hours." Claire said. "She'll make sure the girls don't do any snooping if they wake up during the same time period."
They understood the offer. It was clear both of them thought about it.
Sarah was a little hesitant. She was surprised she'd done as much as she had. She knew she wanted more. It just didn't seem like the right place with Kyle in the other room.
Claire was good to go. She wanted to make things clear.
"It's not like it's another guy." Claire said. "Females don't 'count'. You know that. We don't need to worry about getting anyone pregnant."
Sarah did know it. She looked back towards the Honeymoon Suite. Kyle was asleep in there. There was an inner hunger in her she could barely suppress.
"I don't know." Sarah said.
It was clear to Claire that Sarah wanted more. She wanted to make her position clear. She was good to go at any point.
"I'm available now or at any time elsewhere." Claire said. "We can do whatever you're comfortable with. We can do anything from talk to touch, a massage, kiss, share, or just hang out."
Sarah wanted it. She'd wanted it for so long.
"Maybe some other time we can." Sarah said. "I haven't done this for a long time."
Sarah turned to leave.
Claire touched Sarah's shoulder. She turned back to look at her.
They looked at each other in the moonlight and kissed again. The kiss this time wasn't hungry. It was slow and loving. It was a kiss which indicated more than just sex. It was how both of them felt.
Sarah went back into her room. Maybe it really was nice to have help sometimes.
Claire checked the girls one more time. She looked at Gail on the bed and headed out. She went across the private area and waited by Sheila's room for a few minutes. It didn't look like Sarah would show up. She was very disappointed. She headed back to the Master Suite and walked over to the spare bedroom attached to it instead. It's where Jesse and the Metal girls were. She needed some release right now, a lot of it. She opened the door and went inside. Jesse was still all over Holly. Hanna and Ally were together. She headed straight for Sheila.
She planned to have Sheila get her there and keep her there.
The smile on Sheila's face widened as she listened to what Claire wanted. She planned to do everything Claire said and then double it. She would attempt to take it further afterwards.
Sarah went back into her suite. She closed the door and reached back and touched it. The palm of her hand rested on it for a few seconds. She slowly walked toward the bedroom. She reached the point where she needed to turn to go to the bedroom. The other direction was to the door that led to the private area and Sheila's room. She stood there for a minute, maybe longer. She wanted to be with Claire so much. She remembered back to when one of her high school girlfriends first 'took' her. It was the first time someone else was able to get her there. She wanted the same feeling again from a female.
She let out a long breath. She must have been holding it for a while. She turned towards the bedroom. She slipped off the robe and headed straight for Kyle. She wanted to get him started up. She didn't care how sore she was. It would make it even better to feel the pleasure and the pain. He'd better be able to deliver….
Sarah needed a finish. She needed it bad.
Summer slowly lifted her head and looked around. She could hardly believe what she'd just witnessed. It produced a reaction in her she was unsure of. Maybe it was excitement at seeing everything unfold. It was an unexpected secret meeting. It was ready to explode with love.
She knew the event was totally organic. It wasn't planned by anyone. It was a chance meeting in the moonlight. She could feel the sexual tension between the two of them. It was incredibly strong. She thought Sarah showed a lot of restraint for her desires and feelings. She could tell they'd both left each other reluctantly. She knew they both thought about taking it a little further across the private area in Sheila's room. She could have 'helped' them but she didn't. She thought it should be their own choice.
She looked at Jan for a long time in the darkness. She could feel it in her heart. She knew her destiny. She looked past Jan to Gail. She was back in standby. She laid her head back down and watched the moonlight disappear behind the clouds again. The room darkened.
It would be morning soon.
Cam wanted a look around the burnt out underground section at the old newspaper plant. There was something about it that bothered her. Maybe it was what happened with Cammy and Savannah. Something happened and Cammy covered it up. She must be protecting Savannah from something. The question was what?
She went to the back of the SUV and started to look for something. She took two bottles of water and two MRE packets out of the back.
Steve and Tom looked at each other. They wondered if this was the precursor to a malfunction on Cam's part. She didn't require such substances. They were aware Cameron thought she was Future Allison more than a few times. Cam was a clone of Cameron.
Steve hoped to find out a little bit more before he needed to intercede.
"What are those for?" Steve asked. "You're not going to consume them are you?"
Cam smiled. She actually had other plans for them.
"I thought I might try a taste." Cam said. "Follow me."
They'd parked on the north side of the building this time. They were still down the street and a ways from the building and the railroad siding which ran along the east side.
Cam led them in. She crossed over the railroad siding and made her way to the old office area of the building on the north side. The Grays used the space later on for living quarters. They paused and listened for any sounds. There were none. Everything was secure. They moved back over the railroad siding and went over the fence. They started down the east side of the building. The tracks were next to them.
They looked for loose panels as they walked. It was the area the two girls entered into the building after one of them was abused by the truck driver. It was a drug deal gone bad. It turned into abuse nonetheless. The debt had been collected.
Something moved in front of them. They all tracked it with their weapons. It was an opossum.
Steve didn't care for its appearance.
"It looks like a giant rat." Steve said.
Tom thought they should take preemptive action.
"Maybe we should terminate it." Tom said. "It seemed to have a lot of teeth. It could be dangerous if Savannah returns."
Cam didn't want them to kill it. She hoped Savannah didn't need to return there either.
"It's nocturnal." Cam said. "You probably scared it with your predator pheromones."
They continued along the east side until they reached the south side of the building.
Cam waited and peered around the corner. Nothing looked out of place so far.
They came around from the east side of the building. Cam moved out and headed for the loose panel on the wall. She stopped and looked at the loose panel. She continued around the side of the building towards the dumpsters.
Cam looked at Steve and Tom.
"I need you two wait here for a minute." Cam said. "I want to check on something."
Steve didn't want her to go off alone. It wasn't usually a good thing.
"We'll need to go with you." Steve said.
Cam didn't think so. She decided to better tell them the nature of her mission. She could see they were overly concerned about her.
"I'll be right over there. I want to check on the female dog and its puppies." Cam said. "I don't want you to frighten them."
Steve nodded.
"Thank you for explaining." Steve said.
Steve and Tom watched as Cam went over to look. She returned a very short time later. She looked disappointed.
"The animals are gone." Cam said.
It occurred to Cam the mother dog may have moved back into the building with the loose panel.
"Let me look inside." Cam said.
Cam carefully moved the panel and looked inside. The animals weren't there. The revelation made Cam wonder. She wanted to check things out a little further before she progressed too far.
"John Henry, does any of the surveillance show what happened to the dog that was here with the puppies?" Cam asked. "If we can't track a dog, which needed to make multiple trips for the puppies, we don't have good surveillance."
John Henry checked. It was the dog who'd made them think they might be facing a Liquid Metal Terminator in the first place the other day. He didn't think the news was good news.
"I don't have any indication of where the dog went with its offspring." John Henry said. "Nothing was detected."
Cam saw how happy Cammy was to hold the puppy she'd found in the drainage system. She knew Savannah gave up her only energy bar for the mother dog to eat. She wanted to do something too, to help.
There was nothing to do now but complete Cam's objective.
"We're going to enter the building now." Cam said.
John Henry checked everything again.
"Al and Ed are on the other side. There are drones backing everyone up." John Henry said.
Cam wondered if the drones could find the dog. She didn't ask. It wasn't important right now. They needed to find any people or Terminators moving around the area as their top priority. She moved the panel to the side and entered the alcove. She opened the first door and went down the steps. She reached the second door at the bottom of the steps and touched it. It was still warm to the touch. She calculated its composition and determined there was no active fire burning inside still. She entered the combination into the lock and opened the door an inch. There was still some smoke in the air. Something must be smoldering still.
Steve was afraid of a 'flashback'.
"Don't open the door." Steve said. "You need to close it."
Before Cam could close it all the way, there was a 'whoosh sound' and it appeared the fire restarted. Steve and Tom helped Cam quickly close the door.
"The fire hasn't burnt itself out yet." Tom said.
Cam wasn't going to wait around for it to do so. It was evident everything inside must have been consumed by the flames. It appeared the fire inside would need more time to extinguish itself by using up all the oxygen.
"We're done here." Cam said. "We need to wait longer before we come back here."
Steve and Tom wanted to get Cam back to the base.
"We can go back now." Steve said.
Cam decided to ask about the drones and the dogs anyway. The area looked secure.
"Can any of the drones spot the dog?" Cam asked.
John Henry actually already checked everything when Cam first asked about the dog.
"No." John Henry said. "I've searched for them."
Cam didn't like being unable to find them.
"They needed to move somewhere." Cam said.
John Henry could only answer the obvious.
"They're gone." John Henry said.
"Where did they go?" Cam asked.
"They're just gone." John Henry said.
It was clear Cam was highly dissatisfied with the answer.
It was time to head back.
Cam led Steve and Tom around the west side of the building and they checked for any open doors or unsecured areas. None were found. When they arrived back at the SUV, she carefully put the water and MRE packets back. It would probably be all Savannah would end up eating for a day if she was out with Cameron.
"Let's go." Cam said.
With Al and Ed, they ran each other through an ambush to make sure they weren't being followed. The drones with them made it unnecessary. It was an old habit. It never hurt to remain proficient.
When they arrived back at the base, Cam left the vest in the SUV. Steve and Tom said they would deal with the weapons and get everything taken care of.
Cam entered the base topless and headed for Vanna's room. She needed to get cleaned up. She was sure Vanna was watching Precious. She would go visit her once she was clean. She didn't know if Allison would be with her or maybe Cammy or Samantha. It didn't matter. She would share with all of them.
She needed some release. She was almost terminated today. She wanted some comfort. She'd hoped to get some blood for her earlier experience with the portal. It didn't happen. Now she wondered what else she did there. There was something else she did but she couldn't remember. It seemed like it was something really important. There were no files for whatever it was.
Sheila was on her knees in front of Holly. She saw Claire enter. She was surprised she'd entered from the private area as opposed to the connecting suite next door. She wondered if Claire went to look for her. It must be what it was.
She decided she wanted Claire right now. She moved away from Holly. Jesse still worked on Holly. They would be fine. They'd needed to switch to a bigger room earlier. Her room was too small for everyone.
Claire headed straight for her. Sheila intercepted her and led her back into the Master Suite. She wanted Claire all to herself. Claire moved to take over where Holly left off on Sheila.
"Not so fast." Sheila said. "You seem in a big hurry."
Sheila kissed Claire. Right away she knew there was something different. Claire had been with another female. She thought she might be having a problem. The DNA came back as Sarah Connor's DNA. She rechecked her files again. No, it was a positive match. Claire had been with Sarah in some manner. The thought alone excited her greatly. All of the girls wanted to be with Sarah.
Claire could see Sheila could tell something happened.
"Don't ask." Claire said. "I need you to get me there as fast as possible."
Sheila smiled.
"It will only take a minute." Sheila said.
Sheila opened the robe and went to work. It was time to show Claire what a Terminator could really do.
Cameron made up her mind. She was going to bring Claire or Jesse back to John's bed. It was time to get things taken care of. The anti-Metal faction was out there and very close.
She got up and went into the private area. She headed straight for the Master Suite. She could tell there was some action going on in there. She listened and determined it was Claire and Jesse. She realized a few seconds later it was Sheila. She moved to the spare bedroom of the Master Suite. There was much more going on in there. She cracked the door open and looked. Hanna and Ally were together. It looked like 'Vanna and Allison'. Jesse and Holly were together.
She decided not to disturb anyone at this point. She headed for the Control Center. She paused outside the Control Center door and looked at the door that led to the hallway from the private area. Riley was just on the other side of the door. She wanted John protected.
She thought about it….
John's safety came first. It was her assignment.
Cam passed by Riley's room. She could hear Vanna in there with Cammy. It would work for her once she was cleaned up. Vanna always liked to be 'double timed' by Cammy and her.
She passed by Jesse's room and wondered why anyone was in there. She listened and then looked inside since the door was wide open. Allison was with Samantha. They would work too.
Cam moved on and listened outside Savannah's door. It was quiet. Savannah was sleeping. She knew the time transfer was harder on humans. Savannah needed some rest. She wondered if Savannah needed some comfort. She was sure someone was with Savannah earlier.
She arrived at Vanna's room. She would have liked to have said 'her room' but Allison was in there now full time. Allison was there for many years before she was created. She couldn't deny them the comfort of each other. It left Holly and her without a 'home'.
Cam cleaned up and was about to get dressed. She wondered what for. As soon as she got to one of the girl's rooms, her clothes would need to come off again. There was no one around the base. It was no big deal to walk around in her 'builtday suit'.
She would go back and listen to Savannah and see if she was awake. If not, she would go hang out with Allison and Samantha. It seemed Samantha didn't have many hours left to be 'active'. She didn't agree with the policy. It would be hard for Samantha to go back to being celibate. She didn't think she could do it. She figured she would need to have all of her previous files firewalled or erased. She tilted her head slightly. Isn't it exactly what Cameron thought happened with her and Future John?
It wasn't very long until morning at this point.
She listened outside Jesse's room. It seemed Allison finished so many times, she was beat. She said she needed to rest.
Samantha said she would carry her back to Vanna's room.
Cam thought Samantha should leave Allison in Savannah's room. It would give both of them a surprise when they woke up.
Samantha emerged from Jesse's room carrying a very sleepy Allison. Cam caught Samantha's attention and motioned for her to follow her. She led Samantha to Savannah's room. She opened the door for Samantha. She lay Allison down gently next to Savannah. Cam moved the cover up on both of them.
Cam and Samantha exited.
"They look so beautiful side by side." Samantha said.
Cam understood the nature of the timeless relationship.
"Any Savannah Weaver or Allison Young will always look beautiful together. It's the 'Natural Order'." Cam said.
Samantha needed to agree.
Cam looked at Samantha.
"Do you want to see Vanna and Cammy or use Vanna's room?" Cam asked.
Samantha thought it was Cam's room too.
"It's also your room." Samantha said.
Cam frowned.
"It was, but not anymore." Cam said.
Samantha figured Vanna would be about as tired as Allison was very soon.
"We can go to your room now and wait for Cammy to show up or head for Riley's room." Samantha said.
Cam thought she would like a little alone time with Samantha.
"We'll start out in my room and see what happens." Cam said.
Samantha knew she needed to check on Precious too.
"I know Cammy and Vanna are there. I need to check on Precious every now and then. I send Riley updates." Samantha said. "I don't want to neglect my duty. I don't think I'll bother them."
Cam thought that maybe they should go to the nursery then since it was right next to Riley's room. It would put them closer to more potential action later on. It seemed like a win-win for everyone.
"Follow me." Cam said.
John Henry liked seeing all the nude girls moving around. Operations were mostly caught up right now. He knew it usually didn't last too long.
He continued to go over the information and search for possible threats or targets.
Cammy heard Cam and Samantha arrive next door.
"Cam is back." Cammy said.
Vanna looked up. She was very worried about the danger Cam faced earlier. She was also upset Cam chose to stay out longer and conduct additional reconnaissance before she'd returned to the base.
"I'd like to see her." Vanna said. "I'm just about beat anyway. You really tuckered me out."
Cammy smiled.
"I aim to please." Cammy said.
Vanna went to get up.
"I'm tired." Vanna said. "Can you check on Precious for me again?"
Cammy got up and looked. She'd been monitoring Precious since she came to see Vanna.
"She's sleeping." Cammy said. "Let me get Cam before they get started."
Vanna wondered who else was with her.
"Is Allison with her?" Vanna asked.
Cammy didn't know where Allison was. It would come as a surprise later on when she went to be with Savannah.
"Cam Is with Samantha." Cammy said.
It sounded good to Vanna.
"I think I'm good for a four way, even if it's only for one round." Vanna said.
Cammy knew she would be with Cam and Samantha once Vanna fell asleep.
"Let me snag them before they get started." Cammy said.
Jim wondered how long Cameron was going to stand outside the Control Center door in the private area. He knew he needed to get the breakfast carts lined for later on. Sunrise wasn't very far away.
For some reason, she was transfixed on looking at the door which led from the private area to the hall. Only Derek and Riley were on the other side of that door.
Savannah didn't want to be 'The Redheaded Witch'.
She didn't want to be the 'Evil One'.
She forced those thoughts from her mind.
The setting around her was all different now.
"Hello, beautiful." The voice said.
She instantly recognized it as 'Allison's voice'. She wasn't sure exactly who it belonged to.
She figured it would be Cammy or Cameron.
Savannah turned around and looked. It was neither of them. It was Allison - Young Allison. Something was different. She almost looked like Cameron in every detail.
"You look older." Savannah said.
Young Allison giggled.
"We all get older everyday." Young Allison said.
Savannah knew it was more than everyday aging. She looked around at her setting. It appeared they were in a house. She didn't have a clue as to where they were. She looked over at the television. It was a rather large unit. It looked old. Where was the flat screen? The TV couldn't even be considered a portable it was so huge.
"Where are we?" Savannah asked.
Young Allison looked a little concerned. She immediately moved over and placed her hand on Savannah's forehead.
"Are you having morning sickness again?" Young Allison asked. "I thought you should have waited longer before you got pregnant again. Vanna was very happy when you gave her, her baby. My mom gave Allison hers a week later. I still find it hard to believe John actually did it this time himself. Can you tell me what it was 'like' again? Cameron wants me to do it too. I'm still a little hesitant to get popped. Well, you know what I mean. You were the one who actually popped me."
Young Allison looked at Savannah with love in her eyes.
Savannah's jaw dropped slightly with everything Young Allison just said. She looked around at the other appliances around the room. She quickly deduced she was in the past. Young Allison just indicated she'd already had Vanna's baby and was pregnant again with John's baby and it was conceived in the traditional manner. It meant she wasn't a virgin anymore. She wasn't going to be able to tell Young Allison what it was 'like'. She didn't have any recollection of the event. She needed to find out more.
"I think I need to rest a little bit." Savannah said. "Where's your mother at?"
Young Allison looked at Savannah for a moment.
"She's with Young Jesse in the house next door." Young Allison said. "You know they're going back tomorrow."
Young Allison frowned a little bit. She was well acquainted to how things worked.
"If you want to be with both of them before they go it's OK." Young Allison said. "Mom came back after she delivered Allison's baby to be with Young Jesse again. I'm sure Jesse will be very pleased when she's given her baby as well."
Savannah new Young Jesse wanted a traditional conception.
"Did Young Jesse tell you what it was like to be with John?" Savannah asked.
Young Allison smiled.
"Which time?" Young Allison asked. "She told me the same thing you did. You know my mother did as well. It was like a really weird mother-daughter talk because we discussed the same male she was with, who I'm going to be with soon."
Savannah began to wonder if it wasn't better to be 'The Redheaded Witch'. Everything she'd just heard from Young Allison was extremely disturbing to her.
She wanted to believe she was dreaming but it didn't seem like a dream.
"I know what you need right now." Young Allison said. "It always works for me when you do it."
Savannah watched as Young Allison stripped. Her body looked exactly like Cameron's and Allison's bodies.
Young Allison moved over to her and began to undress her.
"I'm going to take you there this time all by myself." Young Allison said. "I'm going to do everything like you taught me. You just get to lay back and relax."
Savannah really didn't know what was going on. Right now she was going to let Young Allison please her.
She could be 'The Redheaded Witch' later on.
The Gray got back in the car and drove off after he dumped the homeless female in the street. He was still a little upset he didn't get to spend some 'alone time' with the homeless Bitch. He figured she got what she deserved for Scavenging his men. He thought he should have run over her as well. Maybe he would go back and do it anyway. Who did she think she was to die on him?
He saw a warning light flash on the dashboard. He quickly checked it out. He could see the car was overheating. It must have been damaged a little more severely than he'd thought. He'd only gone a block since he made his turn. He looked for a new ride to put the grab on. He knew he'd be likely to find on on the main street. He spotted one in the next block.
He quickly looked around him. There weren't any other cars on the road. There were none in front of him or in back of him. He turned into a parking lot. There were two cars in it. He could see it was a bar. It was closed. He figured it wouldn't be too much longer until sunrise. More than likely, whoever drove the car there was too inebriated to drive it home and somebody else took them. Either that, or someone got picked up and was getting plowed right now.
He looked back in the direction he'd left the homeless Bitch in the street. He should go back and run over her with the car he was in before he took a new one. He didn't think it really mattered at this point. She was dead when he'd dumped her there.
There was no sign of anyone around. The bar was dark. He moved up to the first car. It was a two door. He checked both the doors. They were both locked. He moved to the second car. It was a four door. The driver's door and the door behind it were locked. He moved around to the passenger side. The passenger door was locked on the front. He tried the one behind it. It opened. He took one more look around and reached inside it. He opened up the passenger door. He got in and slid over to the driver's seat. He went to work to get it started.
The female Fanatic turned the corner and expected to see the taillights of the other car. There was no other car on the road in front of her.
"Damn. " The female Fanatic said.
She knew he couldn't have gone very far. She was less than a minute behind him. She could see there were several streets ahead of her. He may have turned on one of them. She doubted it. They went back in the direction they'd just come from.
She moved down the street with her lights off still. She stayed up against the curb. She spotted something up ahead on the right side. It was the car the Gray was in. There were two other cars in the lot with him. She quickly realized he was stealing another car. He probably damaged the other one too severely when he'd run down the three homeless people.
She didn't care for homeless people either. She didn't go out of her way to kill them. She figured he did it because they scavenged the other Grays she'd killed. Maybe it was why she'd stopped and pulled the homeless female off to the side. She'd paid for her sins. Such was life, or in this case, death.
She quickly made a turn at the first street. She drove down past the row of buildings and quickly made a three point turn. She crept up towards the closest building and waited. She figured he would leave the lot in just a few seconds. She was right.
A blue four door sedan pulled out of the parking lot and entered the street. She saw the lights come on. He didn't appear to speed away from the location. She was aware at this time, if there was a police vehicle and they saw a violation, they would respond to it. There wasn't much else for them to do.
She checked the time on her burner phone. She looked towards the eastern sky. She figured it would be sunrise fairly soon. She'd really been burning the midnight oil. She looked over at the bag she'd picked up at the grocery store. It still contained a protein drink and an energy drink. There was still a half package of the cheese slices left. There were also the two new packets of the anti-drowsy medicine she'd picked up.
CamNet's Terminators weren't sure how things were going to play out.
They were a little surprised when CamNet instructed them to drag the two homeless males out of the street and off to the side. They were to proceed to where the homeless female was at and check her condition. They wondered why there was a sudden change in the instructions. They wondered if somehow Savannah or Young Allison became involved.
It was possible one of them was made aware of some of the activity going on behind the scenes. If they were, they understood CamNet's new concern. The girls would frown on such behavior if someone could do something about it.
They quickly moved the two men out of the street. They proceeded to where the homeless female was at. They could see she was still breathing but appeared to be in bad condition. They reported everything to CamNet. She told them an ambulance would arrive soon and take the homeless female away. The three homeless people were collateral damage from the Gray and the female Fanatic.
They were now only two blocks away from where the female Fanatic and the Gray were at.
The Gray started the car and pulled up to the sidewalk. He looked both ways. He didn't see anyone on the street. He made a right hand turn and headed towards the next location where he might encounter some other Grays.
He still had pockets full of cash, even if he didn't have a weapon. He would gladly trade the cash for a weapon. Since he had the cash, he thought of something else he could do with it before he reached the other base. He really liked the skinny female at the homeless camp. Maybe it was because of what happened when her friend 'worked' on her after he'd finished with her. He wanted to see the same thing happen again. He wondered if he could be the one to make it happen this time.
Something ran in front of his car. He hit the brakes. It was a natural reaction. The car slid a little bit. It was just a cat. He should have run over it. It was probably feral anyway. He needed to clear his head a little bit. What he needed was some sleep. It was only the anti-drowsy medicine he bought at the gas station keeping him going at this point.
He could see flashing red lights coming towards him. He felt a momentary twinge of fear but quickly realized there wasn't a flashing blue light along with the flashing red lights. It wasn't the police. He'd just stolen the car he was in a few minutes ago. It didn't look like a fire truck. It was an ambulance. He figured some overweight Yuppie probably flat lined from doing too many lines of drugs. It passed by him at a moderate speed. He figured the city wasn't totally worthless for emergency response. He wondered when somebody called it. Maybe it was a couple hours ago.
There was another car behind him now as well. It was over in the other lane. It was back a few streets. He wasn't really sure where it came from. He'd been intent on looking at the approaching emergency vehicle. He turned his attention back in front of him. Another car turned off of a street in front of him. He could see headlights in the distance. There seemed to be a few more people out now. They were probably people going to work.
He laughed to himself. They didn't know it was all coming to an end. Everything they did was meaningless and pointless. If they were lucky, they'd survive J-Day. Then again, if they were on the wrong side of Skynet, they were going to wish they would have died when everyone else.
The Gray wanted to reach the next Skynet facility. He should be there in a half hour. He turned on the radio in the car and listened to the news channel. He wondered if any of the activity he'd been involved in would actually make the news.
The female Fanatic pulled out of the side street once the Gray had moved several blocks away. In just a few minutes she spotted flashing red lights coming towards her. She hoped it wasn't the police. She didn't think so. She wondered if it was a fire truck. As it came closer she realized it was an ambulance. She hoped it was for the homeless female but doubted it. She didn't call it in. Maybe she should have. Oh well, maybe it was something to think about the next time.
There was more traffic out on the main street. She was going to need to leave her headlights on. She hoped she would be able to fall in behind a delivery truck of some type.
Her intelligence indicated the next facility associated with Skynet was about a half hour drive away from where they were at. So far it appeared to be where the Gray was headed.
She couldn't help but think about the homeless female in the green dress she'd worn earlier. She really wanted the Gray to die for what he'd done to her. Since he didn't have time to abuse her before he dumped her in the street, because he thought she was dead, he was probably still thinking about it. She wondered if he would head back towards the homeless camp. Maybe it was time for her to come up with a plan of her own.
The female Fanatic decided to make her move. Once she thought the Gray was headed to the location she knew about, she wanted to take him down.
CamNet's Terminators went across the main street after they left the homeless female behind. There was a drone over them and a drone which orbited between the Gray and the female Fanatic. They would follow both of them on a parallel street. They were unsure of the destination. They were able to see the ambulance pass by both of them on its way to where the homeless female was at.
"We could have prevented those deaths and injuries." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator wasn't so sure.
"We may have delayed it." The second Terminator said. "We know most of the homeless people who survive will end up as Scavengers or victims of Scavengers."
The first Terminator knew it was true. They were a little displeased they hadn't been able to act and take down the enemy.
"I think once we come up with a destination, we should move in and take them both out." The first Terminator said.
CamNet's Terminators were instructed to continue their parallel pursuit and see what else developed before they made a move.
Moonlight Kiss
Are some places better than others
When one will reminisce
It may all depend on where
They shared a special first kiss
Hindsight will often prove
Most of them will end up in the abyss
It's just the way things are
When it remains a simple kiss
One may be filled with joy
They may enter a state of bliss
It can depend a lot
On who's behind the kiss
One must be careful
Don't take it as a premise
For it may lead to grief
If it was only a kiss
When things inside one click
It's hard to dismiss
It can be extra special
When it's a moonlight kiss
Nobody
