Ultimately, the group did all go to hit the larger slopes together, though Ryuji and Taiga slowly eked their way out to the easier ones, being inexperienced skiers. Ultimately they were joined by Kawashima and later Kitamura, and the group ended up building snowmen and pelting eachother with snowballs rather than actually skiing. Luckily, Noto and Kihara seemed to have forgotten to be mad at eachother, and what was left of the original group looked to be having fun with the harder hills, though Kushieda was slightly apart from the rest, throwing herself at the challenge with fervor. Probably just her trademark determination, Ryuji thought.
"Say, Baka-chi," Taiga began, "I thought a beautiful model like you wouldn't be seen on a small hill like this~," she teased.
Ami shrugged. "I lied," she said flatly. "I just wanted to disagree with Noto. He's too pushy, and if he wants to ask out Maya he should just do it instead of being a huge jerk all the time."
Taiga and Ryuji were each taken aback by this observatio but they ultimately agreed, Ryuji remembering how he had pointed out Kihara in gym class some time before. Kitamura was more interested in his snowman, tuning out all the dating talk, though his recent stint as the patron saint of heartbreak made this rather understandable.
Shortly thereafter, Minori came bounding down the hill, slamming into Kitamura and utterly demolishing two of the snow sculptures.
"What the hell, Kushieda, can't you watch where you're going?" shouted Kawashima as Minori and Kitamura stood, brushing the snow from their clothes.
"I'm sorry, I guess I got distracted and went off course. I've been in a daze all day," she apologized.
Ryuji wondered how in the world "in a daze" meant tearing down the mountain on skis at a breakneck pace, but being that this was Kushieda he was a little less surprised.
"Yeah, well, snap out of it." Ami grumbled.
"Of course, it won't happen again," she waved, starting back toward the ski lift.
"Minorin, wait up!" Taiga called, making her stop and turn back. "Why don't you relax and hang out here for a bit with us?"
So, Kushieda joined the four of them for a short while before heading back to the slopes, stating she had to "get back to it," which was rather confusing as she didn't seem to have any outside pressure to ski, but she was often confusing so they disregarded it.
The group did return to skiing as well, but Taiga and her sled proved to be a destructive pair to match the whirlwind Kushieda, and before long all of the snowmen had been violently assassinated and they were called back to the lodge.
