Chapter 1326

Is That Our Ride

Vanna and Allison were excited as they neared the airport. They didn't get out very often. They certainly didn't go on any type of a trip where they would need to fly.

"Are we going to fly in a jet or a helicopter?" Allison asked.

Cam hadn't been given the details. She was only told to go to Van Nuys Airport and then to the Resistance hangar. She could make an educated guess.

"It may be a piston engine aircraft since we're to report to the Resistance hangar." Cam said.

Allison wasn't really sure what her response meant.

Vanna wondered if Cam was going to fly them.

"Are you going to be the pilot?" Vanna asked.

Cam doubted it. She figured there was a little more going on behind the scenes.

"I wasn't informed I would be flying." Cam said.

Cam turned onto the street that bordered the east side of the airport. They soon arrived at a driveway. As they neared a gate, it began to open.

Vanna could feel the excitement build.

"I think this is it." Vanna said. "The gate just opened by itself."

Cam nodded. She knew it was the work of John Henry or CamNet.

"It's our destination on the other side." Cam said.

Cam pulled into the open gate. It closed behind them.

They saw the Mitchell resting on the ramp.

Vanna liked what she saw sitting there. It looked very impressive.

"Is that our ride?" Vanna asked.

Cam smiled. It was the only aircraft around capable of holding more than a few people.

"I believe it is." Cam said.

Allison took in the B-25 as it sat on the ramp. Her excitement level built up even more. It not only looked impressive. It looked like it meant business as well.

"Look at it." Allison said. "Just look at it."

They could see someone in the cockpit. The red hair was unmistakable.

Allison knew Vanna was next to her. She knew Hanna was on the ship. Anna was in Palmdale. It narrowed down the possibilities considerably.

"It must be Savannah." Allison said. "Is she going to fly us there?"

It looked like it to Cam. She understood why she wasn't given any indication she would fly.

"I'd have to say so." Cam said. "Maybe Cammy is the copilot since I wasn't informed I was."

Cam parked the SUV by the hangar and they got out. The hangar door was closed right now.

As they approached the plane they spotted a second person in the copilot's seat.

Allison could see the copilot.

"I see Cammy now." Allison said. "Wait. That's not Cammy."

Young Allison leaned out the copilot's window and waved.

"Hi, everyone." Young Allison said. "Come inside the plane so we can start up the engines. You won't need to deal with the 'prop wash' then."

Cam led the girls to the forward entry hatch. She helped Allison and Vanna up.

"I'll be in the rear fuselage." Cam said.

She made sure the front hatch was secured and entered through the open rear hatch. She secured it too. She looked out the port waist gun position and then moved up to the bomb bay. She looked over to the crawlway and Anna waved at her.

Vanna and Allison were crowded in back of Anna. They waited for Savannah and Young Allison to go through the start up procedure.

Savannah looked back over her shoulder at them.

"I'm going to let Allison start the engines." Savannah said.

Vanna and Allison looked at each other.

Young Allison looked back at them and smiled. She figured she should give them a run down of what would happen.

"Relax, I've done this before." Young Allison said. "After I call 'clear' and verify it's clear I'm going to turn the engine over through several revolutions. It's to clear the cylinders before I start it. It will seem like the engine won't start. As soon as I give it some spark, it will. It's the procedure. I don't want you to worry. There will be a big cloud of gray smoke once the engine fires. It's the same procedure the plane has gone through since the day it was built."

Vanna looked at Young Allison and Savannah. It was 'Allison and her' sitting in those seats. They couldn't do those things. It was amazing how skilled and trained their younger selves were. She watched Anna and looked back over the bomb bay, Cam was there. They were the 'Terminator versions' of themselves. They could do even more things. It was really mind blowing no matter how much one was exposed to it.

Allison looked up in the top turret.

"Will I get to look up there?" Allison asked.

Anna looked back.

"You can, or you can sit in the nose." Anna said. "You can also go over the bomb bay crawlway to the rear fuselage or the tail gun position."

Savannah looked back.

"Get your headsets on and plugged in." Savannah said.

Anna quickly showed them what to do. She ushered them to sit in the jump seats for takeoff.

"Young Allison looked out her window around the engine area.

"Clear." Young Allison called out.

Mel held a fire extinguisher, just in case and gave her a thumbs up.

The big radial engine began to turn over.

Allison was glad they told her what would happen because it sounded like the engine wouldn't start. It actually happened all very quickly.

Vanna thought the same thing as Allison. She was glad she was informed of the normal procedure.

The headsets were a welcome relief when the engine fired up. It was loud.

Young Allison went through the same procedure for the second engine. Savannah called 'clear' and got the thumbs up from Mel after he went to her side.

She saw Mel give the thumbs up and the second big radial began to turn over. It fired up after several complete rotations of the prop. There was another big gray cloud of smoke created.

Savannah, Young Allison and Anna looked over all of the instruments. Everything was good.

Anna popped her head up into the top turret and looked around them.

"Everything is clear." Anna said.

Savannah released the brakes and began to taxi. She paralleled the runways on the east side and went past the Great War themed restaurant. The usual crowd gathered at the fence.

CamNet already cleared their take off.

Savannah lined up with One Six Right. She stood on the brakes and was about to rev the engines up to test them.

Young Allison wanted to do the takeoff. She didn't think it would be a problem.

"Can I do the takeoff?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah looked at her and back at Allison and Vanna in the jump seats. She knew Young Allison liked to push things. She didn't want anything too extreme with their current guests. Their current guests were 'them'.

"I want a standard takeoff." Savannah said. "Don't push it."

Allison and Vanna exchanged quick glances over the last part of Savannah's statement to Young Allison.

Young Allison wanted to be safe.

"It will be smooth." Young Allison said.

Savannah nodded.

"You got it?" Savannah asked.

Young Allison smiled.

"I got it." Young Allison said.

Young Allison brought the power up and held it for a short while and then she released the brakes. The Mitchell shot forward and continued to build speed as it raced down the runway. Young Allison didn't lift the nose wheel until they were well along in the take off. She lifted off smoothly and gained altitude slowly.

Savannah thought it was a really smooth takeoff. She decided to let Young Allison continue to fly. Anna moved into the top turret to look around them. Cam watched everything from both sides of the waist gun positions.

Savannah looked back at Vanna and Allison.

"One of you can go into the nose for a better view." Savannah said. "Just crawl through the short tunnel."

Allison looked at the small opening and started through.

Vanna watched Allison's rear end. She thought it was a pretty good view too. It was the same opinion shared by anyone who viewed it.

Allison entered the nose and thought the view was fantastic. It looked like there was room for Vanna as well to her. They were used to close quarters. Besides, if one of them wanted to cop a feel, it was a good excuse.

"Vanna come on up. There's room for both of us." Allison said.

Vanna went forward and joined Allison.

The two long time lovers watched the view unfold together. It didn't take them long to gain a little altitude and pass over the hills below.

"I see the ocean." Vanna said. "We reached the coast really fast."

In a minute they were over the coastline and could see PCH below them.

It was a clear day. They could see Catalina off to the southwest. It was less than thirty miles away.

It was a view like no other.

Young Allison kept the speed down to two hundred miles per hour. It was a short fight. It would only last about twelve more minutes until they overflew Catalina Island.

In just a few minutes over the water Allison spotted something by Catalina island.

"I see a big ship." Allison said.

Vanna saw it too.

"Oh my, that's a big one." Vanna said.

They saw the big cruise ship off to the side and the tiny city next to the small harbor. Somehow they expected to see something a little larger. They could see it was quite a quaint setting.

Allison thought things would be a little larger in Catalina.

"Is that all the bigger the place is?" Allison asked. "There are probably more people on the cruise ship than are on the island."

Her assessment wasn't incorrect. If the crew of the ship was added to the passenger complement, there were more people on the ship than permanent residents on the island.

It appeared to Vanna there was a lot of dry brush on Catalina. Somehow she thought everything should be green. She needed to remind herself it wasn't a tropical island. It was another part of Southern California and exhibited many of the same characteristics of the coastal communities. They were prone to 'brush fires'. Many homes were lost during them.

"It looks really dry down there." Vanna said.

Savannah agreed with her assessment. She glanced over at Young Allison.

"I'll take it for the landing." Savannah said.

Young Allison glanced over.

"You got it?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah took control.

"I got it." Savannah said.

Savannah overflew the runway once to look it over and came back around to land. She set down smoothly without incident. The runway ended with a 'drop off' if a plane overran the end of it. She taxied around and parked on the tarmac near the 'tower'. She spun the plane around and shut the engines off. The Blackhawk and Iroquois were parked nearby. There were two small Cessna aircraft there as well.

CamNet gave them a 'heads up' of a fifteen minute arrival time of the team in the open tour bus.

They all exited the plane.

Savannah and Young Allison did a walk around. Vanna and Allison followed them. They showed them what they looked for as they checked everything.

The airport was very isolated. Most of the people who visited it were on an island tour. There was no one evident around them. It might have been a good thing since there were three 'sets' of what looked like the same two people.

Cam and Anna remained at the plane. The other four girls walked over to the tower. There was a small gift shop and small eating establishment. They just looked like two sets of sisters where the younger sisters looked exactly like the older sisters.

They didn't think there would be enough people around to make it an issue. It just seemed like there should be more happening around the small airport. There wasn't.

Earlier:

Cammy was still a little uneasy about her previous tiff with Savannah. She knew she'd been out of place and wrong to have the attitude problem. Look at her now, she was headed to be with someone else herself.

Cammy missed Cam on her way to the airport as she headed for the Resistance base. They'd taken different routes. She wanted to be with Samantha before her sexual freedom was taken from her again by Cameron. It excited her to think she would be the last person Samantha would be with. It might almost be as special as the first person was.

She entered the base and made her way to Riley's quarters. She knocked once and entered.

Samantha sat holding Precious.

They greeted each other.

Cammy thought they looked so peaceful.

Samantha offered Precious to Cammy.

Cammy smiled and carefully took her. She held her for a while and carefully placed her back in her crib. It was time to get down to business.

Cammy and Samantha faced each other.

"I guess this is it." Samantha said.

Cammy smiled.

"Then I'm glad I'm the one to be with you now." Cammy said.

The two Metal girls moved together and kissed.

Samantha wanted Cammy to understand what her priorities needed to be.

"I need to keep a watch on Precious." Samantha said. "I may need to stop at any point to attend to her."

Cammy understood. She also knew they were on a timetable.

"Precious comes first." Cammy said. "We have about an hour and a half to two hours at the most."

Samantha called John Henry and asked to be alerted as the plane was about to touch down when it returned to Van Nuys. Cammy and her would need to dress. She wanted to get everything in order and make sure it was all perfect for Riley's return. She realized she'd missed Riley more than she thought she would. Being with all the other girls helped her forget about it most of the time.

Cammy listened and hoped John Henry didn't come to spy on them and miss the landing. She hoped his server would notify them if it was the case.

Cammy and Samantha slowly stripped each other. They planned to share with each other the way Savannah shared with them. It would give them the most meaningful experience.

They both really liked the way the other one looked. Maybe they could do a chip swap in the future for a few days. Cammy was aware sometimes those turned into a longer affair than planned. Sheila was in her chassis for over a year straight in the past, plus about another year on and off for the eight years they'd spent in the past.

Cameron and the team were on their way back from 'Two Harbors'. They'd elected to go there instead of 'Shark Harbor'. The Terminators all wanted to go to 'Shark Harbor' to see if they could fight a shark in combat. None of the humans wanted to run into a shark. There'd been enough shark attacks recently in the news. A seventeen year old girl recently lost her leg and some fingers when she tried to pry the shark's mouth open. It was on the east coast. No one wanted to chance it.

At 'Two Harbors', the island was at its narrowest width. It is just over half a mile wide. At some point in time, erosion would separate Catalina into two islands instead of one.

They all agreed there wasn't a whole lot to see on Catalina except its arid rustic beauty. Once they left Avalon behind, they left most of the island's population behind too.

The open tour bus neared the small airport.

Cameron already knew what she would find there. CamNet gave her a 'heads up'. She was going to try again to get Savannah to stay. She thought about asking Young Allison to stay which would prompt Savannah to stay. Claire might stay at that point as well to 'protect' her daughter. She anticipated a 'win' out of it somehow.

John noticed Cameron's hand began to glitch as they neared the airport. He took it in his hand but the glitch continued. Summer looked back. She reached over and took Cameron's hand from John. The glitch immediately stopped. It seemed all the females could quell Cameron's glitch. He wondered if Sarah and Riley could as well. He would really like to know if they could.

Cameron looked at Summer and then at John.

"I'm fine." Cameron said. "Everything is perfect."

Summer looked at her for a long moment.

'Keep it that way.' Echoed in Cameron's mind.

She tilted her head slight as she looked at Summer.

It was a few seconds later when Derek spotted the Mitchell. It looked like the Resistance bomber to him.

"Hey look, there's Cameron's B-25." Derek said. "Is that our ride?"

Cameron originally intended to return the group in the Iroquois for the team members going back to the base.

"It is." Cameron said. "You can take it or the Huey back."

They talked it over. Everyone wanted to go back in the Mitchell. Cameron knew it was a full load but nowhere near the Mitchell's capabilities, especially her B-25.

Cameron thought about having Cam fly the UH-1 back. She decided she wanted her virgin chassis for John. It would give her the opportunity to see if there was any difference in the performance of her chassis as opposed to Ally's or Cam's. It really didn't matter to her as long as she could give their virginity to John as 'herself'. She didn't want to say the Metal girls 'owed' it to her. Other than Gail and Holly, they all owed their existence to her. She was the one who'd created them.

The small open bus pulled up next to the control tower.

Vanna, Allison, Savannah and Young Allison were there to greet everyone. Summer was thrilled to see Young Allison as was her mother. They both gave her a long hug. They were both happy to see she wasn't yet an 'older teenager'. With Cameron involved, nobody knew what could happen next or when.

The Metal girls said their 'goodbyes' to everyone.

Cam directed Dan to fly the UH-1 back.

John wasn't sure if what just happened was the original plan. It didn't seem like it. He wanted to know what was going to happen next.

"Does it mean the narrated tour is over?" John asked.

Cameron looked around at the desolate landscape.

"There's not much to narrate." Cameron said.

Frank took the mic from Dan and put a headset on.

"I took the tour with Dan." Frank said. "I can narrate and drive."

Savannah saw Cameron approach.

'Here it comes.' Savannah thought.

Savannah stopped Cameron before she could speak. She didn't want any uncomfortable moments to be created. She wanted to make things clear from the start.

"Hi, Cameron." Savannah said. "The answer is still 'no'. Please don't ask."

Cameron looked at Young Allison.

It irritated Savannah. She stepped in front of Young Allison.

"NO." Savannah said. "I forbid Allison to go."

Cameron looked a little upset.

"I was only going to say 'hello' to everyone." Cameron said.

Savannah wondered if she'd been too quick to judge. She gave Cameron a big hug.

"I'm sorry." Savannah said.

Cameron saw Cam and Anna by the B-25. She expected to see Cammy too.

Savannah noticed who Cameron searched for.

"Cammy stayed behind." Savannah said. "She wanted to 'help' Samantha."

Ken and Lou pulled up to the B-25 in the van and loaded the luggage onboard.

Cameron didn't like everyone to be crowded into the B-25. They wouldn't have enough time on the short flight to enjoy all the different views available with the Mitchell. She figured they would need to switch people almost constantly so everybody could get a turn at the different positions. She looked over at the Iroquois. She thought some of them could have a better view in the helicopter. They could take a different route back too.

Dan mentioned someone could sit up front with him in the Huey.

Kyle liked the idea. He thought it would be quite a view and a memorable experience. He'd already been in the B-25 earlier. It was actually just a few days ago.

"I'll give it a try." Kyle said.

Sarah and Jan decided to ride with him.

To start out the flight, Jesse and Claire would ride in the front of the B-25. Derek, Riley and Summer would ride in the rear fuselage. Everybody got a better view this way. They could rotate positions too.

Dan fired up the UH-1 and made sure everyone was strapped in. As soon as the helicopter was warmed up a little, he took off.

The B-25 would easily be able to catch it before they reached Van Nuys.

Sarah and Jan sat on each side of the UH-1 in the back seat. Kyle sat on the left side of Dan in the front. They all wore headsets for easy communication.

Dan flew towards Avalon Harbor to give them one last view of the cruise ship.

They were all a little sad to see it go. They all had a really great time.

Dan knew nobody in his aircraft needed to hurry back to Van Nuys. They could take a more leisurely route on their return. He wanted to make them aware of several options.

"Do you want me to fly up the LA River into the valley or cut in across Malibu?" Dan asked.

Kyle thought Jan should see the city and the downtown area while everything was still standing. The skyline sure looked different after J-Day. Everything was burnt and most of the big buildings were down or only half as high. There'd been more than one nuclear blast over the downtown area.

He didn't remember much about the inner city before J-Day. He'd been to visit it a few times since his return to the past. It always pleased him when he saw a new building under construction. It was a building not present in his future. Every time humans could build something before Skynet could take it away, it seemed like a victory. He hoped it wasn't a shallow victory. Skynet was always a threat. The fact there were multiple versions of Skynet only seemed to make it worse.

Kyle always remembered the LA River looked like nothing more than a giant flood control channel. After several large floods in the Twenties and Thirties, it was decided to concrete the majority of it. The floods were extremely rare. They'd only happened a few times because of inclement weather off the coast of Mexico. Hurricanes never usually reached California. They usually fizzled out somewhere along Baja California. There was enough cold water coming down from Alaska to take the wind out of the Hurricanes, quite literally.

He knew a lot of things in the Los Angeles area 'grew up' along the banks of the mostly dry LA River. He wanted to give Jan a taste of those. He knew Sarah already was aware of most of them.

"I'd like to fly up the LA River." Kyle said. "I know it is mostly concrete at this point in time. We'll pass a lot of history on the way."

Kyle knew there was a lot of rail activity on both banks of the LA River at certain locations. It should give him a nice bird's eye view of those operations.

Dan nodded. He thought it was a good choice.

"Affirmative…." Dan said.

Jan looked at Sarah and suppressed a giggle when Dan said it.

Sarah moved over next to Jan so they were both on the same side as Kyle. They would all see the same things this way. If there was something of major interest on the other side, Dan could always change the flight path of the helicopter. John Henry and CamNet would assure the sky was clear around them of other aircraft.

They took one last look at the cruise ship and headed for Long Beach. They would be over the Queen Mary in twelve minutes and follow the LA River north and then west.

Cameron hugged both Allison and Vanna and thanked them for coming.

John eyed both of them and thought how beautiful they looked in the bright sunshine. He'd just looked at Savannah and Young Allison and thought the same thing as they boarded the B-25.

John still wanted to fly in it. He hinted to Cameron a few times about it but didn't ask her directly. He knew if he asked outright, she would comply with his request. He would prefer if she would offer it to him. It was sort of like what Cameron did with the borrowed chassis. He'd wanted to use all of them for years. He would have preferred if it was with the actual owner of it. He would never ask for such a thing. Somehow it made it better when Cameron offered it to him. He figured it would be the same with a trip in the Mitchell.

Frank stood in front of the B-25 and gave them a thumbs up when someone called 'clear'.

John watched as the first engine began to turn over. He watched the prop spin but not start. He was about to say something to Cameron when there was a massive cloud of gray smoke and a thunderous roar.

'Wow!' John thought. 'It really sounds great.'

The second engine went through the same procedure.

The B-25 taxied past them. They watched it go to the end of the short runway. They could all hear the engines rev up and stay there. In a flash the B-25 started down the runway. The nose wheel was off the ground in seconds. The main gear soon followed.

John, Cameron, Allison and Vanna all waved feverishly as the plane took to the air. It stayed low over the runway until it was past the cliff and in the open sky. The Metal girls waved as well. It was clear someone 'pushed' the takeoff, even if they weren't aggressive with the altitude.

Frank waited at the open tour bus.

A Short Time Ago:

Claire and Jesse went up the forward hatch in the Mitchell. Anna closed the hatch and Young Allison made sure it was secure. She climbed into the copilot's seat.

Anna went down the length of the fuselage to the rear hatch after Summer, Derek and Riley entered. She made sure they got strapped into the jump seats and closed and secured the rear hatch. She asked Derek to let Summer sit in the tail gun position once they were airborne since he was familiar with the plane. Anna moved through the fuselage and went over the crawlway. It passed over the bomb bay.

Claire was surprised at how small everything seemed once they were inside. She could see the interior of the plane was very basic. It was just the metal skin with bracing on the inside. She didn't realize everything was built to make the plane as light as possible. The lighter the plane was, the more payload it could carry. It was the whole reason for its existence when it was constructed. It was a machine built to deliver death from above.

She watched as Young Allison made sure the entry hatch was secured. She directed them to sit in two jump seats for take off and climbed into the front right seat of the aircraft. It was hard for her to believe her daughter was doing it. Savannah asked them to put their headsets on. She was a little startled as Anna appeared from somewhere in back of them. Anna helped them with everything.

She listened as Young Allison went over what the startup and take off procedure would be. It seemed complicated. A few seconds later everything happened like Young Allison said it would. She was told the engines would turn over several times before they started. It was still different to actually listen and watch it happen. Then there was the big cloud of gray smoke when the engine did start. She was glad she knew about the procedure ahead of time. Shortly after it started, the plane started to move.

Savannah looked back at them.

"Allison is going to take off and fly us back." Savannah said.

Claire could hardly imagine her daughter doing it. She could really see the influence the Metal girls had on her with all the hours they'd spent with her every day.

Soon they thundered down the runway and were airborne.

Anna directed them to take a look from the nose. She pointed to the narrow tunnel underneath the cockpit. She said they could both fit, but it was tight.

Jesse told her it was the way it was supposed to be.

"If it ain't tight, it ain't right." Jesse said.

Anna tilted her head slightly. She quickly understood she referred to a different 'cockpit'.

Jesse followed Claire into the nose. She couldn't help but to touch Claire's rear end as she crawled forward. She thought the view was great. When she made it into the nose, she thought the view there was great as well.

They did a lazy circle once around the cruise ship and over Avalon. The plane turned towards the mainland and they headed for home.

Jesse thought of pulling Claire's pants off and initiating her into the 'mile high club'. Anna previously told her they would switch positions on the plane in ten minutes. She knew Claire and her would be alone in the rear fuselage soon. She figured from their position there, they would each be able to view a 'cockpit'.

Savannah didn't tell Young Allison to take it easy on the takeoff. She knew she would because Summer and her mother were on board. She knew Young Allison would feel about them, what she felt about her, and what Cameron felt about John.

She was pleased as Young Allison took off smoothly, even with a short takeoff. There was no aggressive climb as they gained altitude smoothly. She kept plenty of altitude as she circled the cruise ship and the small city.

They hadn't discussed what the flight plan would be on the way back. Savannah intended to return the same way she'd come. It was the same plan Young Allison adopted.

"I'm going to go back the way we came." Young Allison said.

Savannah nodded.

Anna was updated from both bases.

"CamNet and John Henry have cleared the airspace." Anna said. "The sky is yours."

Anna was in back of them again before she moved into the top turret for a quick look around. She verified the sky was clear around them in all directions.

Cameron watched the plane disappear into the distance. She heard Vanna and Allison tell John what a fantastic flight they just had. They were both excited about going on the ship.

She looked at John with both of them. She really wondered why the three of them hadn't been sharing with each other all these years. She didn't understand it was because they loved her so much. It was clear they all loved each other as she loved all of them.

They boarded the small bus and headed back toward Avalon.

Vanna and Allison were in the front seat.

Allison looked around at the somewhat desolate landscape.

"Are we going to tour the island?" Allison asked. "Is there anything cool to see?"

John tried not to laugh.

"Everything around here, except the small city, looks just like this. It all looks the same." John said. "You'll like it better when we get on the ship."

Cameron looked behind them. Ken and Lou followed in the van. They were sitting on plenty of firepower in case they needed it. It seemed unlikely, but it was there.

The Metal girls all sat behind her. She looked at them one by one and remembered her time in each of their chassis. It was the most special time of her existence to be able to do it for John and provide him with the finest selection of females any male could have on a honeymoon.

Cameron smiled to herself as her gaze passed Vanna and Allison. She was going to make sure John got a 'crack' at them. She just might too. They were beautiful.

The female Fanatic decided to do a little more investigation. It was clear she was going to need to bring the building down. She still hoped to find some explosives and a better weapon.

It was clear she would be out in the open once she left the storage area. She didn't see anyone else around. She could hear the machinery running in the distance. She knew there were at least five men currently in the location she was in. She was pretty sure there was a Terminator associated with the group as well based upon what she'd heard.

It sounded to her as if there was a female captive somewhere. She wasn't her priority. If she could free her, she would. If not, she would just be some additional collateral damage. It was just the way things worked. There was a higher cause to serve. If she was someone new, it might explain the absence of others. They would probably all want to abuse the new detainee. The idea actually sickened her. What was wrong with people? What made them think they had the right to do 'things' to someone else?

There was the sound of voices nearby.

"Go back and get another one." The first man said.

She realized she'd let her mind drift a little bit. She was sure it was from lack of sleep. She remembered she had the anti-drowsy tablets in her pocket. She should probably take some more of them right now to help her keep her focus.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." The second man said. "Go for this and go for that."

It gave her an idea. She quickly retreated back to the storage racks. This time she went down the aisle where the men had gone before. She looked for a spot near where the man had gone the last time, but on the other side of the aisle.

She found another place where she could hide. It would only give her cover if the man came from the same direction as the last time. It was the direction he should come from. She crouched down and waited with her knife.

She waited for the lights to come on. They didn't this time.

"You would think these losers could do something for themselves." The second man muttered to himself.

The man was already closer than she'd anticipated.

She watched him approach the rack where he'd been at the last time. She waited until he reached up onto the second shelf. She made her move.

In a flash, she sprang from her place of concealment. She quickly closed the distance between them. She plunged her knife into his back at the same time she reached around and put her hand over his mouth. She pulled the knife out and plunged it in several more times. The man dropped to his knees. She could see he was beyond screaming. His body fell off to the side. She quickly rolled him onto his stomach. She pulled him over to the location where she'd just been hiding. She quickly searched him for a weapon. He didn't have one. She looked back at the ground. She didn't see any blood on the concrete.

Wait.

There was a little. She quickly pulled the man's shoes off and removed his socks. She looked in the direction he'd come from. There was no sign of the other man who he'd spoken with. She wiped the blood as best as she could with his socks. She tossed them on top of his body. She quickly looked for another hiding spot. She figured the other man would come looking for him at some point to see what was taking him so long. There could be more after him. She hoped she could bring them down one at a time.

The female Fanatic could hear several voices. It wasn't what she wanted to hear. It sounded as if there were at least three of them. She'd hoped the next man would be alone. She looked down at her knife. Maybe Ascension was closer than she'd thought.

The first Terminator continued the interrogation of the third man. She would deal with the second man next. The third man was a little more cooperative than the first man had been. She'd been able to gather more information from him.

She had a solid lead on several more locations and a better idea of what was going on.

The man stopped talking.

"You're going to kill me anyway." The third man said. "I'll be dead and you'll still be a Metal Bitch."

She punched him hard. She would need to beat on him some more. She got some more information out of him.

There should be another group of men returning to their location. It was a different group from the ones who'd left earlier.

She heard a phone ring in the other room. She quickly choked out the man she'd been questioning.

Several minutes ago:

The second Terminator roughly picked up the second man and placed him in a chair. She began the interrogation.

He was clearly in bad shape. There was massive bruising along the left side of his neck. More than likely one of the major veins in his neck had been ruptured. If it would have been an artery, he probably would have been dead by now, or at least suffered some type of brain damage.

One of the phones they'd collected from the three men began to ring.

She'd heard the voices of all three men. She wasn't sure which man the phone belonged to. They were all identical.

She quickly choked out the man she's been interrogating. She doubted he would survive anyway.

"Yeah." The second Terminator said in the first man's voice.

"Jason?" The voice on the phone asked. "Where's David?"

"He went to take a leak." The second Terminator said in the first man's voice.

"Is the other team back?" The voice on the phone asked.

"Not yet." The second Terminator said in the first man's voice.

"I didn't think they would be." The voice on the phone said. "Maybe I'll stop along the way and get us a live one. It might delay us a little bit."

"It sounds good." The second Terminator said in the first man's voice.

"Have the gate open. We'll drive right in the building." The voice on the phone said.

"You got it." The second Terminator said in the first man's voice.

The first Terminator was there now as well.

"We'll be there in a bit." The voice on the phone said.

"How soon will it be until you arrive?" The second Terminator asked in the first man's voice.

"We still need to stop to get a live one." The voice on the phone said. "I can't give an exact ETA."

"We will have everything ready." The second Terminator said in the first man's voice.

The call ended.

The first Terminator looked over at the second man.

"He's terminated." The first Terminator said.

The second Terminator figured they'd have a few more men to question. They didn't know how many.

"Make sure all of them are terminated." The second Terminator said. "I'm going to open the gate and the rear door."

The first Terminator left to terminate the remaining men. She was sure the first man was terminated by now as well.

CamNet's Terminators made sure everything was the way they wanted it before the other group of men arrived.

The female Fanatic listened as the men approached. She held her knife ready to use from her place of concealment. She could hear a phone ring.

"Hello." The first man said.

Pause.

"What do you mean you think something happened?" The first man asked.

Pause.

"Are you sure they weren't just messing with you?" The first man asked.

Pause.

"I know there's no one named David." The first man said.

Pause.

"Alright." The first man said.

Pause.

"OK." The first man said.

Pause.

"We're leaving now." The first man said.

Pause.

"It will just be the three of us." The first man said.

Pause.

"Will let them know." The first man said. "Bye."

The call ended.

"It sounds like we have some trouble at our building." The first man said. "It may have been compromised."

"We were expecting something to happen." The second man said.

"We didn't think it was going to be this early." The third man said.

"You guys head over that way and meet up with the other team." The fourth man said. "I'll take care of everything here. I'll let them know what to expect. I'll get Rodrigo and alert the others."

The female Fanatic could hear the door open near the dock area. She figured the three men who'd arrived with the truck just left. She expected the other man to appear any second to find out what happened to Rodrigo. She looked over in the direction where his body was at. She hoped he would find the same fate. She figured the other building was under attack. She wondered by who. She hoped it was another group of SkyMaster followers.

"Get out here, Rodrigo." The fourth man said. "Did you get lost in the dark?"

The lights came on and lit up the storage rack area.

"Damn." The female Fanatic muttered to herself.

She could hear the man approaching.

"You really must have gotten lost." The fourth man said. "We need to get ready, there's a situation developing."

She hoped to be able to take him out before he could alert anyone else at the location there was a problem. The longer they remained off of any type of alert status, the easier it would be for her to move around and act.

"I'm going to kick his butt when I find him." The fourth man said. "He's probably in there doing the new slut."

She could see him move to the location where she stabbed Rodrigo just a few minutes ago. It appeared he was going to retrieve the part Rodrigo was sent to get.

She sprang from her place of concealment and approached the man from behind. He started to turn around right before she reached him. Her knife was already in motion. It plunged deep into his side.

The fourth man let out a cry of pain.

The female Fanatic stabbed him again. This time it was in the front. He instantly collapsed. She was pretty sure she hit his heart. She looked around to see if anyone else heard anything. It appeared she was still undetected. She dragged his body over to where Rodrigo's body was at.

CamNet notified both of her Terminators there was a problem. She'd monitored a call made from the phone which called their location only a few minutes ago. They knew the bobtail truck was back on its way also.

"It looks like we've been made." The first Terminator said.

The second Terminator figured they must have missed a check in.

"It happens." The second Terminator said.

CamNet's Terminators needed to make a choice. They could wait at the building for some type of counter attack to occur or they could withdraw and see how things played out. They still had drone support so a missile could be fired at any time from altitude.

Is That Our Ride

Two should be together
They shouldn't feel they're tied
Everything should be joyful
Nothing should feel snide

Things will go much smoother
When both feel dignified
Everyone can feel open
Each can exist with pride

The road can become shaky
When one starts to hide
It soon leaves the other feeling
As is if the other has lied

One doesn't want to feel towered over
They would rather stand beside
They feel more comfortable
When they are able to confide

It may feel like a landslide
When feelings are curtailed or denied
They should look to each other and ask
Is that our ride

Nobody
