It has been a few days since Leo has been searching for the Soul Stone, Mumm-Ra is rather upset about how long it has taken to find it. To which he was told that the current sensors do have a limit on how much space can be searched. He of course didn't care. He wanted to find the stone and fewer excuses.
Tygus, while Leo was searching for the stone in the command center, had taken upon himself to work on his trusty flier and tried to make improvements to the design, Honestly, Leo thought that if that ship had a humanoid form Tygus would fall in love with it. Panthera was busy taking care of the containment cells after our conversations about making them more comfortable for our current troops and the next unfortunate species that would be forced to serve.
Well, Leo was searching through space and every once in a while he would get the idea of just finding a nice secluded planet, where he and the others could throw all this stuff away and live a nice simple, and quiet life, which of course earned him another punch to the head by Lord Mumm-ra telling him to stop daydreaming and focus.
One of the things that never made any damn sense is that these four spirits of evil each talked through four statues, but the thing is they were statues of Egyptian gods, and none of them represented anything that could be considered spirits of evil as far Leo could remember.
One looked like the so-called deity of wisdom, the one right next to it was the judge of souls, next to it was the deity of oasis and traveler, and finally, the guardian of the dead none of these was evil, they each served a purpose that in general people held them in high regard and considered quite beneficial, but here they are the four spirits of evil, and this made no sense.
Leo even thought of the idea of flat out asking these spirits why where they were considered evil, but then again if they are evil they wouldn't exactly admit it. Leo had to remember the way that Mumm-Ra described conquering their world and butchering their parents as him doing them a favor and they should have been grateful for it.
Which reminded Leo that there might be a way to create new stones using the power of the four stones of power, Leo still thinks that he is putting the cart before the horse since they haven't found a single one of them. Leo also thought that maybe Tygus didn't understand that serving their Lord was far from comfortable or desirable.
The one thing that surprised them both is that somehow they could talk with each other using a weird sense of telepathy that apparently was something Mumm-Ra didn't notice or cared about. Tygus began to think about something from his previous life, and asked Leo wasn't there a female version of Mumm-Ra in the original series, to which Leo told him, yes there was, a blonde, and wearing white armor, and a follower of the four spirits of goodness.
Tygus even said that if she was the one in charge he would have no problem, "I wondering that if there are four spirits of good and evil or are they really eight spirits keeping the balance." As we began to hear eight voices speak with us, they suddenly start laughing, "For former humans turned cubs and for you two to be the first people to ever figure this out, it is both funny and amazing. Yes, we do keep the balance, and maintaining balance promotes growth and advancement. So you see the four spirits of evil may be called evil, but they actually do some good." Spoke one of the spirits of good.
Leo asks who they are and who is speaking inside of their heads? One of the spirits of good, told him they are the four spirits of good, and good friends with them, and before the spirit could continue the reply another spirit interrupted and said that the other is the spirits of evil which Leo knows very well.
Leo then hears the one that represents the crocodile speak, "It saddens us greatly that you having spent so much time in our shrine never once tried to contact us." Leo quickly remarked that he thought that they were in league with Mumm-Ra so he thought it would be better to keep his distance and not talk to them.
The bull speaks up, "Mumm-Ra is supposed to be our servant to promote chaos and destruction for it to later nourish and foster creation and order, however, he has decided to use our power for his ends, and when we limited him he began his search for the four power stones to become a god himself. In every way you look at it, he has betrayed us and your people as well."
Tygus asked them why are there only four stones of power, to which the Jackal said, there aren't four stones of power, those are the only ones that remain after thousands of years, they were created by the eight spirits to aid their champions in doing their bidding. So we could in theory teach you two how to create new stones of power for yourselves, that was if you bothered to ask."
Tygus asked them if this means that they could technically teach them how to create the infinity stones? They all asked what the hell the infinity stones to which Tygus shared the memory of what the infinity stones are, which amazed some of them and royally pissed some of them. "Damn it, so that means that our concept of the stones of power exists in other dimensions, and we didn't know it, because these infinity stones are the same thing."
Leo pretty tells them they are, one of the spirits after going through all information Tygus shared tells them that is a set of stones that will never be created, the continuity stone, the time stone, and the real stone and they give us the knowledge how to create particular stones but they do tell us to look for the four stones to delay Mumm-Ra as long as possible.
Tygus had the idea, "What if we let him have the four stones and once he has them, three of us will have a set of four stones ourselves, pretty much making his entire plan worthless." This makes one of the spirits start to laugh and says that it is getting him to have what he wanted but making it useless at the same time.
Tygus began to think about creating a battle stone that is equal in appearance and power to the war stone and hand him the battle stone while keeping the war stone. They did warn us that we could create only one and then we would forget how to make that stone while learning to create another one. As we came to an agreement Tygus returned to the pyramid ship.
Returning to the holding cells Leo and Tygus met with Leo's mate and began to discuss what they had learned and how to make sure the troops behave, she then asked if they can trust these spirits, to which Leo told her that yes, they are quite honorable and in fact would want to help us put a stop to Mumm-Ra's plan since they consider him a traitor.
After a long week of searching and scanning planets, Leo found the world where the first power stone was located. He immediately went to Lord Mumm-Ra to inform him that the location was found, and upon reaching the word their forces would invade and take possession of it. Mumm-Ra told Leo that it was about time that he was running out of patience. Leo reminded him that the sensors on the ship had limitations.
Leo informed him that it would take the ship a month to reach the planet where the power stone was located. Mumm-Ra was furious and immediately told Leo to leave the command center. Leo decided to go to the secret lab to see how the creation of the first stone was coming along, when he got there Tygus was smiling in a rather creepy way, when he sees Leo he tells him that only do they have one almost complete but they nearly have three almost complete, they sort of were in the colors of gold, silver, and red.
"So the red one is the battle stone, what exactly are the other two?" Tygus told him the gold one was the magic stone and the silver was the power stone. Leo starts to laugh and asked why would he name it the power stone? Tygus told him he didn't the spirits did. It appears it is quite literal it is the stone that can increase a person's power, including not only physical, but mental, to go as far as spiritual power it can increase any type of power.
If we can speed up the process the spirits assured us that we could create two more stones of power, life and death stones, to which Leo began to worry about, a stone that literally contains the power to end life, if Mumm-Ra got his hands on it. It would be the worst-case scenario, Tygus told him that is not how the stones works, it allows you to communicate with the dead and even go to the realm of the dead.
Tygus also explained that it allows a person to fight the dead and undead, "So this would allow us to put the hurt on Mumm-Ra since technically he is undead." The life stone allows the expansion of lifespans and to create life and give life to anything. Tygus tells Leo that this is all he has to report.
Leo looked at Tygus, and he told him that it will be a month before they reach the planet where the first stone of power was located. "So we have a month to get ready to fight yet another war, and more than likely they will end up getting enslaved by Mumm-Ra." Tygus began to snarl and growl in anger as he heard this.
As the time went by Tygus improved the ships and weapons, and Leo tried his best to keep morale high, even though the food rationing was getting to the troops. Panthera somehow managed to make the holding cells a little bit more comfortable, but the troops still complained that it wasn't comfortable enough. Leo was sorely thinking to tell them if they don't like it, sleep on the floor, but he knew that to do that.
Panthera and Leo have long decided that they would live together, and so did Tygus and his mate, Tigress, If the situation was better, more peaceful, and not in the ship under the control of a monster, they could even picture themselves having some cubs, but this was not the right time nor place. That however didn't mean that they didn't go into heat and had to find some other ways to deal with the stress.
Tygus took for target practice and simulated combat drills, Leo took to studying and practicing his swordsmanship, Panthera took out her stress by beating the living crap out of anyone who dares to make trouble, and Tigress took her stress out by making furniture with her claws. The ship was headed toward an aquatic planet, there was very little vegetation on the surface, and the people appeared to have evolved from sharks and other marine animals.
The battle was hard, especially since they had to fight on modified fliers, and could not keep up with the inhabitants if they fought outside of them. But at long last, they managed to gain the surrender of the Head Priest who was the leader of the people and the one who could open the way to the Soul Stone.
"I do not understand, the stone which you call the Soul Stone is merely a religious symbol and tool, I will never comprehend why you and your troops had to go to such lengths to obtain it. The waters of the world have been stained red by the blood of our people. What more will it take to a sense of peace you?"
Tygus looked at the man and began to shake his head, "It is not us who you should worry about, it is the one that commanded this invasion, and if this world is anything like what happened to ours, those that died had a more merciful fate than you will. Because if it is, you too will be enslaved by Mumm-Ra the ever living. He knows no mercy, he cares about no one, so don't expect to be treated nicely. But Leo and I are not your enemies."
The man somehow could tell that Tygus was telling the truth and he handed Leo a small container that held the stone of power they had been looking for. Leo looked at him, and tried to comfort the man, "Do not worry, I and my mate will try to make this horrible situation as little better, as much as we can."
As they returned to the ship Mumm-Ra was waiting for them to land, Leo had to do something he didn't want to do, he walked up to Mumm-Ra, kneeling and presenting the container that held the stone. "My lord, we were successful, I present you will Soul Stone, what shall we do with it?" He took the container and shatters it in his grip and looked at the soul stone that was in his hand.
"Leo you often complained that the sensors had very poor range, take the soul stone and place it on the sensor control center, this should improve at the very least the quality of data we obtain from the sensors, and make it easier for you to find the next stone. The next stone will be the Spirit Stone." Mumm-Ra begins to cackle and laugh like a maniac.
"You may carry out your orders, but I will return to my chambers to rest." As he left the landing bay Leo couldn't help but be a little bit depressed as he began to walk toward the sensor control center. Tygus asked him what is wrong. He simply said that they had helped enslave people just like they had been enslaved, and their hands were covered in the blood of innocents.
Tygus told him not for long, he asked him to tell him when Mumm-Ra was asleep, and he means truly asleep and not just resting. Ten minutes passed, the soul stone has been installed in the sensor controls, and indeed the data reception had vastly improved. Tygus was at the holding cell and was looking at the water cell that contained the newly enslaved people.
Tygus used the life, death, and power stone to bring back the people that they killed back to life, and showing the people a display of their people alive and well on that planet, Tygus looked at the Priest, "I have done this to show that we are loyal to you, we expect that you will be loyal to us and not Mumm-Ra. I made it so that every humanoid species may produce children with each other, and have them have long lifespans and be able to have children of their own. So if you find someone you fancy and wish to pursue a relationship, you may."
Tygus left the containment bay and went to the secret lab where they were developing the stones of power. He returned all three to their hidden locations and began to work on the next five stones. The Will Stone, The Insight Stone, The Shield Stone, The Language Stone, and finally the Stealth Stone. The Will Stone allowed people to manifest their will and create objects using only their imagination, The Insight Stone allowed people to see through illusions, trickery, and lies, and The Shield Stone allowed the formation of an energy shield that could block attacks.
The Language Stone allows a person to understand any language in creation, and finally, the Stealth Stone could conceal anything that is near it while the power was active. All these stones would take another month to finish, however, some of the smartest members of the troubles had begun to help in the process. So it was possible to finish their creation before that time.
The next day Leo went back to the control center and began to look for the next stone location, and much to his shock and amazement, he found it rather quickly however it will still take them four months to get to the planet. Leo told Mumm-Ra the good news that the Spirit Stone was located, however, it would take them four months to reach it, and had to duck after Mumm-Ra threw his goblet at him.
"Get out of my sight before I do something that you will regret." Leo took the hint and left the Command Center but not before bowing in front of the four statues. As he left he began to think about what Tygus had said, and Panthera had planned quite the romantic evening, she was wearing her good clothes, the cell smelled nice, and she smelled nice.
As she touched the controls on the wall the cell was closed, soundproof and without much warning, she pounced on Leo trying to get him out of his clothes. Hearing laughter in his head he heard Tygus tell him, "Did I forget to mention that she is in heat?" and starts laughing again while saying thank gods my wife, I mean mate is already pregnant.
As the couples continued to mate all night long, they finally felt like they could express themselves openly about their relationship and she sort of hoped that it took, cause her friend was already pregnant and she was kind of hoping for some cubs of her own. Leo was more worried about having to raise babies I mean cubs in such a dangerous environment, given who was the most prominent danger, Lord Mumm-Ra.
The couple was happy to learn that Panthera was pregnant with twins, just like Tigress was, and this meant that Panthera and Tigress would not be able to do much heavy lifting and that meant Leo and Tygus would have to pick up the slack, but in truth, it was good training. To which their mates said that if they wanted good training wait till the cubs were born.
Four months passed rather quickly, the cubs were born healthy and strong, and much to the embarrassment of their fathers the other troops began to tell them comments about how adorable their children were, especially when they were playing fighting. For some odd reason the girls would not fight with each other but only with the boys, and the boys would also do the same.
The mothers were happier than they could remember, and making comments about their children would make rather nice couples when they grew up, Leo and Tygus after hearing this simply didn't say a word and decided to go to Command Center, some might call it running away, but they rather call it duty calls.
The planet where the Spirit stone was located looked like one large jungle Savannah, the people who had the stone were large and were not afraid to throw their weight around, To Leo and Tygus they made them remember Elephants. They remembered that these would probably be willing to negotiate if they captured the children of their leader.
Thanks to the stealth stone placed inside of the trick weapon that Tygus has developed, he easily captured the children of the Elephant leader, and just as Leo predicted he quickly surrendered and gave him the Spirit Stone. His only request is that they be merciful to his people and their children. Tygus agreed and told him to give him the weakest warriors which he gladly agreed, except that he was included.
"Why must I be taken captive?" Tygus said that he would be the only one that his people would trust initially, and therefore to prevent any problems he was coming along. "We don't wish to cause suffering upon your people, thus you are needed." He asked if he could pick his successor and of course, he was told he could. He picked a young lady that was near him and told his daughter to lead their people with patience and wisdom.
Tygus finally said his farewells and took off with the captured Elephants, as he made it back to the pyramid she noticed that Mumm-Ra was waiting for him. The captives were sent to the containment cell, and Tygus kneeled in from of Lord Mumm-Ra and present him with the Spirit Stone. "A job well done, the next Stone shall be the Tech Stone, did Leo tell you if he has found the location of it."
Tygus looked at him and with a nod spoke, "Yes My Lord, he has found the tech stone's planet location however it will take us six years to reach it. The species that holds it has used it to advance technology to the point that it rivals our own, and has turned their planet into a ship. To make matter even worse this so-called planet ship is in another galaxy."
Mumm-Ra lost his previous chipper mood and was staring at Tygus with a glare. "I do hope that the shields we gain thanks to the Spirit Stone will be sufficient for when we reach their location, Tygus I know that you have been improving our vehicles, I ask you to continue doing that and making sure we are ready to obtain the Tech Stone. Do not fail me or else."
It has been six years since we started the long journey to the planet where the Tech Stone was located, the Spirit Stone indeed formed a protective shield around the Pyramid and deflected many hazards traveling across space to another galaxy. Our kids have grown up quite a bit, they are essentially teenagers and as such, they also tend to complain about everything they dislike in creation.
Leo never thought in his wildest nightmares, that he would come to enjoy being in the command center, but his daughter complaining about the lack of cute clothes and her wanting for him to meet her potential mate, pretty much made it a necessity to remain as long as possible doing things for either the troops or the ship.
Panthera was quite happy to hear about the potential couple, it was the son of Tygus and her daughter, and her son and Tygus' daughter. Unlike Leo who avoided this situation, Tygus accepted the notion that they could become a couple. He decided to lecture the boys and tell them if he heard that they get the girls pregnant before they are eighteen, he would literally and figuratively rip their balls off.
Tygus complained that this sounded a little harsh, to which Tygus reminded him it was but it could be even worse. "You think that I am going to show favoritism, well your punishment shall be twice as hard as what Leo's son would get. I didn't raise someone who acts in a dishonorable manner, and should you do so, you will lose your ability to procreate. I do hope that I am being clear, to the both of you!"
The son of Leo looked at him and asked Tygus if his sister would be getting the same lecture. Tygus told him, no, because unlike them the girls didn't need to be told. Their mothers already gave them a lecture long before their relationship was established.
Leo having spent so much time using the controls of the Command Center finally found the location of the planet that held the last stone, and upon seeing it, he paled. It will take eighty years with their current technology, he decided to call for Tygus using his mind since he knew that delivering this news to Lord Mumm-Ra was not going to be pleasant.
Tygus after receiving the message went to the Command Center, "So Leo what is the matter? Aside from the fact that you keep avoiding the reality that your children are dating mine." Leo told him that it was neither the time nor place to discuss this, the last stone will take them over eighty years to reach and Lord Mumm-Ra was furious with just a few years.
Unintentionally Lord Mumm-Ra heard the last part of their conversation and indeed he was not happy at all. He was surprised that he found the last stone but he was not happy about how long it would take to reach it. Tygus simply told him that maybe with the Tech Stone the time needed to reach the location of the last stone would be significantly less, after all, they did manage to turn a planet into a ship which was no small feat.
Mumm-Ra looked at them both, "You had better hope that you are right. It has taken us far longer than I hoped, and even my Patience has limits. Who will lead the invasion to obtain the Tech Stone?" Tygus told him that there might be no need to invade, a small force could sneak into the ship and obtain the Tech Stone before they realize it went missing. Mumm-Ra was not happy because this means that he would not be able to capture more potential warriors to serve him.
Mumm-Ra suggested that they would send a distraction to make it easier for the people who were sneaking in to steal the Tech Stone. "Well Tygus it seems that I will be leading that distraction while you lead the group that obtains the Tech Stone, you are far more skilled in Stealth than I am."
