Chapter 1378
I'm Cold
The group elected to eat dinner on the ship at Tony's. It was an Italian specialty restaurant. It wasn't crowded at all with so many people exiting the ship for a night out on the town. San Francisco was a big draw for many who'd never been there before.
John, Allison and Vanna all ordered different Italian dishes off the menu. Cameron, Holly and Gail-Cam did as well. It was decided they would all share some so they could try a bigger selection of the food. The passing of the plates would also mask the fact the Metal girls weren't eating anything. Tony's was a much smaller restaurant. With fewer people on the ship, CamNet arranged for there to be no other people seated around them.
They placed their order for their appetizers and the entrées. They talked among themselves as they waited.
The sun was close to setting.
Alcatraz was in the near distance.
Allison looked out the window at the island.
Holly noticed what Allison looked at.
"Would you like to go there?" Holly asked.
They all looked at where Holly and Allison looked.
Allison was a little unsure of the meaning of her question.
"Do you mean to prison?" Allison asked. "I feel like I've already been there."
Vanna didn't want Allison to 'go there'. She knew she thought about the past, the future.
"It's just a tourist attraction now." Vanna said. "It's been closed as a prison for almost sixty years."
John would like to see it. It seemed the girls didn't. He wasn't going to mention it. He didn't want them to feel uncomfortable.
Cameron picked up on everything.
"If anyone wants to go there, we can go." Cameron said. "CamNet can have a VIP tour for us there the first thing in the morning before the place opens for the rest of the public."
It intrigued John. Since Cameron brought it up, he felt safe to comment on it.
"I might like to do it." John said. "I don't know about anyone else."
Allison and Vanna looked at each other.
Vanna knew what it was like to be imprisoned. It was different from jail, but it was the same. No, it was worse. Her sentence was for being a young attractive female, not a criminal. How was it her fault? It was how she was born.
"Let's see how we feel in the morning." Vanna said.
They talked some more about some of the other things to see or do as the appetizers arrived.
Sheila, Ally, Hanna and Cam-Gail exited the ship after Mary, Laura and Leticia got off.
They needed to pass through a cruise terminal building.
"I don't like having to go through the building first." Ally said.
The exit from the ship ran them through the cruise terminal building to get off. It wasn't like San Diego or Ensenada. In those locations, they were right on the dock when they walked off of the ship. When they boarded in LA, they'd used the VIP entrance. It was right on the dock too. It avoided the cruise terminal completely.
Hanna felt there were more inefficient ways to get on and off of the ship.
"It's better than the tenders at Catalina." Hanna said. "It was a hassle."
Cam-Gail noticed some of the people liked the ride in the smaller boat. For some of them, it was the first time they'd been on a boat so close to the water. A few of them decided to take the 'glass bottom boat' tour because of it.
"Some people liked the tender ride." Cam-Gail said.
It seemed like an inefficient use of resources to Hanna.
"Maybe they did." Hanna said. "I didn't."
Hanna disliked the way the boat bobbed around in the water. It felt very unstable to her. She didn't think she would have liked the walk back to shore if it capsized. They would also need to worry about the safety of their human charges.
Sheila wanted to stay with Mary, Laura and Leticia. She really wanted to take things to the next level.
"Those girls are moving fast." Sheila said. "I want to follow them."
There were a lot of passengers between them and the exit.
They tried to move along through the crowd and catch up with the girls. They didn't want to get spotted following them right away either. They needed to use some caution.
Mary led Laura and Leticia. They exited the ship and went through the cruise terminal.
Laura looked around them as they proceeded.
"It seems like an awful lot of people." Laura said.
Mary thought so too.
"It seems like more than in San Diego or Ensenada for sure." Mary said. "The small boats in Catalina were just a hassle."
Leticia thought it was a hassle as well. She'd needed to wait a long time to board one of the tenders.
"We lost a lot of time in Catalina." Leticia said.
Mary didn't think it mattered too much there.
"It only took ten minutes to walk through the entire town." Mary said. "I don't think anyone missed very much. It was pretty small."
They were through the cruise terminal and out into the parking lot. There appeared to be as much confusion outside of the terminal as there was inside.
Leticia looked at their surroundings.
"Where are we going?" Leticia asked.
Mary held a brochure.
"There's an open top double deck bus we can get on and off of at various stops." Mary said. "We can see the city and get off of it if we see something interesting. The next bus will pick us up."
It sounded like a fun way to see things.
Mary and Laura looked back at the ship. They didn't discuss it, but they both thought of their encounter with 'Peggy' and 'Ann'. It was really Allison and Vanna. They both wanted to do it again.
They looked for the bus stop. It was right outside the cruise terminal building after they'd each purchased a pass. One full bus just pulled away as the next one pulled up. Mary paid for all three of them with the money she'd won when she was with 'Peggy' who was actually Ally at that time. She didn't know Allison or Ally were different individuals. There was no way for her to know it was the whole reason why Ally was created. She didn't know some of them were Terminators, and some were human. She didn't even know Terminators existed.
They hurried to the top of the bus and sat in the front. They now had the best view of the city. More passengers got on the bus. As they waited, they watched the sun set. They were all excited about the cruise so far and everything that happened. Once the bus was full, it pulled out onto the street. The next one pulled up to where it had been and started to load.
Sheila watched the bus with the three girls pull away.
"We're going to lose them." Sheila said.
Hanna didn't think so.
"Have John Henry or CamNet track their phones." Hanna said.
Cam-Gail pointed at some of the buildings
"There are plenty of cameras around too." Cam-Gail said.
Ally wasn't sure why they needed to follow them anyway. She would like to spend the time with the other Metal girls.
"We can do our own thing too." Ally said. "We'll see them again once we depart Frisco."
Sheila frowned at Ally. She used her phone to get things set up with John Henry. He said he was going to be busy later on with a pending operation. CamNet contacted her directly and said she would provide the information.
She was a little surprised at CamNet's direct interaction. It wasn't usually the case. She would like to get some 'one on one' time with CamNet. She didn't know CamNet wanted to 'try out' her chassis since Cameron seemed so infatuated with it.
Hanna thought there were other alternatives they could use.
"Maybe we can get Dan and Frank to drive us." Hanna said. "I know they're around here somewhere."
Cam-Gail felt it was everyone's job to be ready to back up John's group.
"They need to be available for Cameron and John." Cam-Gail said. "Maybe they'll need some extra protection. We should assist them."
Ally was sure their itinerary was already laid out. They weren't a part of it.
"I think they're going on a helicopter ride tonight and maybe drive over the bridges later on." Ally said. "Jim and Bob may accompany them."
The Metal girls got on the next double deck open top bus and started the city tour.
Sheila tried to keep track of where the three girls were at.
Anna and Young Allison waited for the Grays to leave.
The drones watched the tech firm at closing time. The three Grays weren't detected leaving the building. It appeared all the legitimate workers were gone for the day.
Young Allison was a little concerned.
"None of our targets were identified." Young Allison said.
Anna double checked all the images.
"They weren't spotted if they did leave." Anna said.
There was a call made earlier to the 'Boss' by one of the Grays.
"What came back on the phone call to the Boss?" Young Allison asked.
Anna knew the number and location were tracked. She wasn't very pleased with the results.
"Nothing did." Anna said. "The call was unanswered and traced back to a phone which was picked up last night in the building Savannah and you took down."
It gave Young Allison something to think about. There was one encounter which stuck out in her mind.
"I bet it was the guy I shot with my Model 66." Young Allison said. "He seemed pretty motivated."
She could still see the smoke coming off of his hand as he grabbed the burning hot barrel of her M4.
Anna knew all the phones and hard drives were being processed.
"It very well could be." Anna said. "They're still going over everything."
The men in the clean room knew their satellite buildings were all taken down violently.
"I think it may be bad news." Young Allison said. "The men who are in the clean room will expect an attack now. If they couldn't reach the Boss, they have to know they're probably going to be the next group to be taken down."
There was a good chance the building could be rigged to explode at any point.
"We still don't know what's in there exactly, other than it's Skynet related." Anna said.
Allowing the enemy have time was always a risk. They'd needed to show restraint because of the workers who didn't know their company was compromised. Those people should all be out at this time.
"They could have transferred the information to another location by now." Young Allison said.
Anna knew CamNet cut any information from leaving the facility. She intercepted it at a secure location to prevent any malware or other surprises.
"CamNet has made it look like anything they've attempted has worked." Anna said. "What's your next plan?"
It didn't require much thought on Young Allison's part.
"We can either blow up the building with a drone strike, or attempt to capture whatever they actually have in there." Young Allison said. "We don't know how many people are in there other than the three Grays."
Anna felt there were still some options open to them.
"We should be able to do some drone scans, if we wait long enough." Anna said. "We don't know their level of involvement."
Young Allison felt they should be considered as collaborators. She knew Savannah would feel otherwise. She felt it was something they should discuss.
"I want any input from John Henry and CamNet." Young Allison said. "After I have it, I want to speak with Savannah."
Savannah pulled away from the building with Cammy earlier.
Cammy knew the Grays were going to try and put the grab on her.
They withdrew for now. They didn't want collateral damage among the employees. They planned on some follow up action.
Savannah and Cammy were now in the back of the delivery van Richard and Michael arrived in. They'd spoken with Young Allison and were updated by John Henry as needed.
Savannah could see Cammy was anxious to take action.
"We still need to wait a few hours before we can do a low level drone scan." Savannah said.
Richard and Michael were there as extra help for the girls. They wanted to take the lead.
"We can move in at any time and take them down." Richard said.
Savannah knew it was to take the heat off of her. She thought it was too early to act for anyone. She believed more information was essential before they acted. There were a few concerns as well.
"We don't know what we'll face yet." Savannah said. "They've gone silent. We don't know if they found Cammy's bug or if they're doing something else."
Cammy thought it was all the more reason to act. She would have acted earlier. Savannah told her they needed to think of the other employees who didn't know what they were involved with. She didn't care about them herself. If they worked for the enemy, they were the enemy. If they weren't now, they would be at some point. They would all be doing Skynet's bidding soon enough.
Savannah learned about Mrs. Weaver's attack on the installation in the desert where she'd killed over thirty people. From what she was told later on by Sarah, it appeared most of those people had been in the dark as to what they were doing. They all believed they were working on a secret government project. They didn't know they were doing Skynet's bidding. In the end it didn't matter. They all paid the price.
Cammy would like to get Savannah out of the danger zone. She thought of a productive way to do it.
"Maybe I can take you to dinner." Cammy said.
Savannah thought about it. She didn't think it was about her nutritional needs.
"Would it be so you can have Richard and Michael enter the building when I'm away?" Savannah asked. "I can eat here."
Savannah took out an energy bar and a small bottle of water.
Cammy frowned. She would rather have Savannah eat a real meal.
"You need something better than snacks." Cammy said.
Richard and Michael could feel the tension in the back of the van.
Cammy received new information from John Henry. He could make more troops available.
"Steve and Tom can come back." Cammy said. "Al and Ed are with them."
Savannah sensed Young Allison at work in the background. She didn't want any special consideration. There were important leads the other troops needed to run down.
"They need to stick with their assignment." Savannah said. "There are four of us here. There are three Grays. All of the other operations should go on as planned."
Cammy wanted a qualifier about what they knew.
"You mean there are three Grays we know of." Cammy said. "We don't know what else is in there."
Savannah was worried about the energy field they'd encountered yesterday. If the Terminators went in there, they would be incapacitated if one were turned on or started at the location.
"We're going to find out." Savannah said. "Excuse me."
Savannah took her phone and exited the delivery van. She saw the sun had gone down while they were in the van. It would be totally dark soon. She called Young Allison.
Cameron watched the group finish the last of their dessert. She'd tried a few small bites of some Italian desserts. They'd all ordered a dessert or two. They included Tiramisu, Canola, Panna Cotta, Cassata, Zeppole, Tartufo and Strawberry Gelato. John, Vanna and Allison liked them all. Her favorite was the Gelato.
She believed everyone was ready for the next phase
"Are we ready to go out on the town or would you like to return to your suites first?" Cameron asked.
Vanna and Allison decided to use the restroom first. The one in their suite was the best.
"We'll freshen up in our room." Vanna said.
John remembered reading a joke once, it from a 'humorist' a century and a half ago. Mark Twain said the coldest winter ever experienced, was a summer in San Francisco.
"You'll need to bring a coat along." John said. "It will be very cool, if not cold, later on."
Allison didn't bring much with her in her carry on.
"We didn't bring any coats." Allison said. "It was hot when we left."
Vanna looked at Cameron. She knew how things worked.
"I bet when we get to our room, there'll be some there." Vanna said.
Cameron smiled.
"One hand washes the other." Cameron said.
Vanna and Allison weren't sure where to go with her statement.
Vanna was glad Allison was pregnant. She felt Cameron might try and get them drunk and put them in John's bed. It wouldn't be the first time she'd tried it.
Holly and Gail-Cam left with the girls. The girls asked for some space as they walked. They talked over their earlier sexual encounter with Mary and Laura. They both decided they wanted to be with them one more time before the cruise ended.
"We've never done this since we've been in the past." Allison said. "I really missed it."
Vanna needed to agree.
"I've wanted to do it many times, but I never did. We'll see them for a day or two and then they'll be gone. There's no emotional baggage." Vanna said. "I like to concentrate on you and Cam."
Allison shot Vanna a quick glance. She thought Vanna left out a few other contenders.
"Don't forget my mother and Jesse." Allison said.
It made Vanna wonder. She knew Cameron wanted them to be with John on the ship.
"You know Cameron wants us in John's bed before the cruise is over." Vanna said.
Allison understood what was expected of them.
"I do." Allison said. "I'm really surprised Jesse and my mother weren't."
Vanna looked over quickly at Allison.
"Do we know they weren't?" Vanna asked.
Allison could have done without the question. They'd never said if they did or didn't.
"I don't know." Allison said.
Vanna saw something else developing.
"If we don't do it, Cameron is going to get someone else on the ship to do it." Vanna said. "I think I know who too."
Allison stopped and looked at Vanna. She wondered if they'd been played as Pawns.
"Did Cameron use us to set up Mary and Laura?" Allison asked.
Vanna thought about it some more.
"I think so." Vanna said. "They have a friend too."
They looked in back of them. Holly and Gail-Cam were way in back of them.
"They're trying to look like they're not listening." Allison said. "We know they are."
Holly and Gail-Cam quickly looked at each other.
Vanna thought some more about it.
"I think not only is Cameron setting them up, she allowed us to 'try them out' and see how they are. She wanted to make sure they'll be 'good enough' for John." Vanna said. "They will be. They were dynamite with us."
Allison thought it made sense in a way. They were like 'Guinea Pigs' or something. The 'something' she thought of wasn't very pleasant.
"So we're like some kind of 'Judas goat' now?" Allison asked.
Vanna wasn't really sure what they were.
"Apparently…." Vanna said.
The elevator opened for them as they approached.
"I love the magic elevator." Allison said.
Vanna looked at the security monitor.
"I think CamNet needs to get Savannah here before this ship leaves San Francisco." Vanna said.
Allison worried about it and Young Allison.
"It won't be Allison either." Allison said.
It seemed the girls figured out Cameron's game plan.
"Maybe I'll just do it myself." Vanna said. "Savannah would have been here if she wanted to be here. She knew what Cameron wanted."
Allison felt Cameron was about to bypass them.
"Now if we don't do it, she'll have Mary and Laura do it." Allison said.
Vanna wanted to see what they were up against.
"Let's hit the Control Center and have Jim give us a run down on what all has transpired so far. I want to know more about their friend too." Vanna said.
When the elevator opened Holly and Gail-Cam were waiting for them.
The Metal girls were on a double deck, open top tour bus.
Ally looked around.
"This bus is lame." Ally said. "It goes too slow and it doesn't have any pizzazz."
Sheila was tired of the ride. Mary, Laura and Leticia were long gone. Their bus took a different route. It was time for some creative action.
"Let's boost a car." Sheila said. "I want a 'rag top'."
Hanna spotted a convertible parked in a lot.
"There's one." Hanna said.
Cam-Gail noticed there was a problem with it.
"It only has two seats." Cam-Gail said.
Ally and Sheila were already up. They went down the stairway to the lower level.
Hanna quickly realized they weren't joking.
"They're going to get off." Hanna said.
Hanna and Cam-Gail hurried after them.
The double deck bus was slow in traffic.
Sheila forced the rear door open. Ally and her stepped out of the moving bus.
It caused the truck behind them to swerve. It blocked all the traffic behind them. The truck driver thought he was going to hit them but they were already gone. He was unsure now if there was really anyone there at this point. He was surprised when two more females exited the rear of the bus and disappeared as quickly as the first pair did.
Hanna and Cam-Gail hurried to catch up to Sheila and Ally. They weren't accustomed to operating in such a reckless manner. It was standard fare for Sheila and her 'sidekick' Ally.
Mary, Laura and Leticia got off the double deck bus at a couple of the stops. They found out it was really hard to get back on the next bus as they were always full. They were jammed into the front of the current bus and forced to stand in the aisle. They couldn't see anything. They realized they should have stayed where they were originally and viewed the city first. On its second trip, they could have made stops at what looked interesting.
"This bus blows." Leticia said. "I think someone already copped a feel. They touched my left nipple ring."
Laura nodded.
"It's happened to me twice." Laura said. "They both touched my nipple rings too."
Mary wanted to tell them they should have dressed a little less skimpy. She decided to use some tact.
"You know it gets cold here once the sun is down." Mary said.
They looked out the front window. The sun was down a long time ago. They did feel cold when they were on the bus.
"I think she just told us we should have dressed better." Laura said.
Leticia wanted to advertise a little. She'd been dissatisfied with her earlier sexual encounters other than Mary and Laura.
"I wanted to show off my rings." Leticia said. "I didn't have a super hot 'hook up' like you two did."
Mary and Laura thought of their earlier encounter.
Laura had been with quite a few females over the years. She looked at Leticia.
"No offense to you, but it was the best 'hook up' ever." Laura said.
Mary thought of some of the highlights of the experience.
"I agree." Mary said. "They really knew what to do, especially the redhead."
Laura wanted to make sure Leticia knew who was who.
"The redhead is Ann." Laura said. "Peggy was excellent as well."
Mary didn't make any comment about the names. She was pretty sure they weren't their real names. They knew very little about the mysterious girls.
Leticia wanted to be with the girls too, especially Sue. She liked dominate females.
"I want them and Sue." Leticia said. "I really want Sue bad."
Mary and Laura did too.
The girls felt more than a little overcrowded.
The bus stopped again. The three girls got off. More people crowded past them and got on. The bus pulled away.
"Where are we?" Laura asked.
They all looked around.
Mary was a little concerned with their surroundings.
"Not where we want to be." Mary said. "This looks like a rough neighborhood."
Laura tried to look at the map from the bus company.
"What stop was this?" Laura asked.
Mary looked up at the bus stop sign. It wouldn't provide them with any information in its current condition.
"I don't know. There's spray paint on the sign." Mary said. "I hate taggers. What a bunch of disrespectful low lifes."
Leticia touched her arms.
"I'm cold." Leticia said.
Mary looked over at her. She could see the 'headlights' were on.
"You wanted your nipple rings to be seen, they can really be seen." Mary said. "Everything is very prominent right now."
Leticia looked down at her skimpy top. Her nipples were hard and cold, but her rings really showed. She looked around and didn't think it was the best setting for it.
"I think it looks Hot, but I'm still cold." Leticia said.
Mary took the map from Laura and looked at it. She looked around at their setting. She tried to remember where they'd been so far. She was sure of some of the places they hadn't been to yet. It narrowed their location down to a couple of places. She took an educated guess as to which one it was exactly.
"I think this is Haight Ashbury." Mary said as she looked at the map. "There's a big park near here."
Laura felt uncomfortable. She didn't want to look around the area.
"I think we should get on the next bus." Laura said. "I don't like it here."
Mary checked the surrounding area. There were a lot of homeless people around.
"I agree." Mary said.
People started to pay attention to them. They didn't think it was anything good. They understood now why the people who got on the bus were in such a hurry to get away from where they were at.
Vanna and Allison headed for the Control Center.
Gail-Cam didn't want the girls to get sidetracked.
"You don't need to do anything in there." Gail-Cam said.
Vanna felt there were more things they needed to know on a personal level.
"I think we do." Vanna said.
Vanna looked back. John and Cameron weren't behind them.
Allison looked at Holly.
"We want to know everything that's happened with our people and those three girls on the ship." Allison said.
Vanna didn't want a 'white wash'.
"We want it fast and we want it now." Vanna said. "We don't want anything missing either. I know how sometimes things can get 'overlooked'."
Jim opened the door to the Control Center. He'd been alerted earlier as to what the girls were after. CamNet informed him when the girls discussed it in the elevator.
"I have everything ready for you to see." Jim said.
Allison was a little surprised. They hadn't even entered the Control Center yet.
"That was fast." Allison said.
Vanna knew exactly why everything was ready.
"When CamNet speaks, everyone listens." Vanna said.
Allison smiled as she looked at Vanna.
"We're almost the 'Chosen Ones'." Allison said.
They both knew they were the same people anyway.
"I think we are." Vanna said. "I want this done before Cameron gets here."
Jim showed them all the images. Holly and Gail-Cam filled in all the information. The escapade with Sheila was quite disturbing.
Cameron and John left Tony's. Cameron listened in her com to everything happening with Vanna and Allison.
John noticed Cameron looked a little distracted. He watched a smile blossom on her face. He wondered if he'd missed something.
"What are you smiling about?" John asked.
Cameron turned to him and gave him a kiss.
"It must be because I'm here with you on this fine ship and all the lovely females on board." Cameron said. "This is the best time ever for me, John. Thank you for allowing this."
John was pleased to see Cameron 'happy'. It wasn't often enough for him. He would like to see her 'happy' all of the time. He understood it was an unrealistic expectation. Nobody was happy all of the time. Some people were happier than others. Everyone was different.
He was very pleased at what she'd orchestrated. He wasn't sure what was next. They walked out onto the open deck at the rear of the Promenade deck.
"I want to thank you, Cameron." John said.
Cameron led John to the rear of the ship. They could see the bay behind them, the marina next to them, the islands and both bridges. They were all lit up now.
"This is all for you." Cameron said. "I want you to have everything. It will be the best honeymoon ever for a man."
John didn't think he could disagree with her statement. He'd been with Cameron in six virgin chassis. She was the one in control of all of them. It made him a little nervous about what was next. Cameron indicated she would use Bob's and Jim's chassis too. It wasn't what he looked forward to, but if Cameron was the one in control, he couldn't disrespect her program. He would give it a try. He was sure Cameron looked forward to 'giving it' to him. He'd seen them naked before. They were both about twice the size he was. He was sure he was in for a real 'pounding'. He wanted to focus on where they were at currently.
"It has been, Cameron." John said. "Now I can concentrate on you for the last two days."
The smile vanished from Cameron's face.
John was afraid he'd said something wrong.
"We can do whatever you want." John said. "I want to make you happy."
The smile returned to Cameron's face.
"I have a few more things planned." Cameron said.
John swallowed hard.
"I'll do whatever you want me to." John said.
Cameron looked intently at John.
"Do you promise?" Cameron asked.
John was afraid where things were headed.
"I will for you." John said.
Cameron moved next to him and gave him a deep kiss. It took his breath away.
"I think I'll have a few special treats for you." Cameron said. "I'm still working on them."
John was pretty sure he knew what they were. He figured it would be Cameron in the two male chassis. He figured he'd better enjoy sitting down today, as he probably wouldn't be able to do so tomorrow at this time with any level of comfort.
Cameron was pleased with how things were shaping up. She would have Vanna and Allison in John's bed, or Mary and Laura there instead. She was sure Leticia would be if the other four didn't work out. She decided to have Sheila carry out her instructions for Leticia. Not only was Leticia easily motivated with sex, and every other vice, she was always a little short on funds. The best part was, she was beautiful. She was sure once John was with her, he would be ready for Savannah when they got back.
She was very aware from the Metal girls that the human females all operated at an emotional level none of them could achieve. She was the most advanced and she didn't come close to what the human females could return to John. It still bothered her because John received plenty of 'emotional feedback' from Future Riley too. The human connection was hard to beat.
Cameron quickly checked her phone as she kissed John. She wanted to see if there was any news on the anti-Metal faction. She put her phone away and broke the kiss when John needed air.
"When do we need to get back to the room?" John asked. "I think I'll need a coat."
Cameron thought Vanna and Allison had enough time to figure everything out.
"We can go back now." Cameron said. "Everyone should be 'ready' when you are."
As they moved from the rear to the side of the ship, John could see a lot of traffic on the street still.
"Are we still going on the helicopter ride?" John asked.
Cameron looked at all the traffic. She didn't see any need to get stuck in it when they could simply fly over it.
"We are." Cameron said.
John thought he'd figured out what Cameron had in store for him. He might as well make things easier for everyone.
"Maybe Bob and Jim can come along." John said. "I know they haven't gotten out much."
Cameron liked the idea. It would leave the Control Center unmanned. Hanna and Cam-Gail both told her earlier they would fill in for Jim or Bob.
"I'll let you ask them." Cameron said.
John was sure if he asked them, it would seem like an 'order' to them.
"I would prefer it if you discussed it with them." John said. "We can see where it goes when we get back."
Cameron smiled.
"Will you still do what I ask?" Cameron asked.
John didn't want to disappoint Cameron. He didn't want to be the one to spoil things.
"I want you to be happy." John said.
They didn't know they were on different trains of thought.
John thought Cameron would be in Bob or Jim's chassis later on.
It was Cameron's hope to have one or more of the five human females in John's bed. She wanted him protected from assassination. She wanted him to want more.
"It will be wonderful for you." Cameron said. "I promise."
John smiled back at her. He swallowed hard again.
CamNet's Terminators listen to the two men talk. They looked around at all of the items inside of the building. They hadn't been able to inspect anything yet. They did know one thing for sure. They were going to need a bigger truck.
They avoided the two men closest to them. The two men entered the office area. They knew there was at least one more man still out on the workroom floor. He was by the roll up doors on the north side of the building.
They wanted to take stock of what was inside of the building.
Lena motioned for Tina to take the south and west side of the building. She was going to check the north and east side. She knew there was someone on the north side still.
Tina needed to check in front of her and behind her constantly as she moved down the first row of crates. She was surprised at the number of containers inside of the building. She was aware the Resistance encountered a group of containers at an old steel mill before. There'd also been containers at the port facility they'd taken down recently. All of them had been empty.
They didn't think anything had been shipped in them and unloaded. They thought they were all to be loaded and shipped to various countries overseas. They didn't know what the true extent of Skynet's footprint was anywhere in the world. They didn't know what it was around their area. They didn't even know how many different versions they were dealing with.
Tina reached the south end of the building. She paused before she started back up the next aisle. She needed to be mindful of anyone else in the building. She knew there was at least one HK Track inside based on what the men discussed. She didn't know if it was currently active or not. It would be their biggest threat if they encountered it.
Lena made her way towards the north side of the building. She wanted to get eyes on whoever was in the area. She was mindful there was at least one HK Track in the area. She'd heard the men talk about it. She knew it would be her biggest threat if she encountered it.
She could hear someone moving around ahead of her. She kept watch all around her. She needed to worry about the two men exiting the office area and coming back out into the workroom area.
She spotted the third man. He was by an exit door. He checked to see if it was secure. It was. She saw him look back towards the east side once and then head for the aisle she was by. She quickly moved in between two crates. She could hear him coming on the far side. She slowly moved out until she was the next aisle. She checked both ways before she did. She heard the man go by. She move back in between the two crates and looked in the direction he went. She wanted to see what he looked like.
There was no sound anywhere else in the building. She knew Tina was moving around but she was obviously very quiet. She was too.
The door to the office area opened. She was sure the third man joined the first two men. She moved between two crates and took a look in the direction to make sure there was no one out in the aisle. There wasn't.
She looked at the labeling on the crates. Most of it consisted of various numbers and barcodes. Nothing was labeled with a name or a description as to what was inside of it. She was sure it was all valuable material to Skynet. If they couldn't take it, they would need to make sure it was destroyed. She thought about opening some of the crates to see what was in them. She needed to find the HK Track first and make sure it was inactive. If it wasn't inactive she would need to deactivate it.
Tina progressed halfway up the second aisle before she cut over to the third aisle. She looked both ways before she left the one aisle and before she entered the next aisle. There was still no sign of anyone else. She repeated the procedure until she reached the last aisle. She could clearly see where the rail siding entered the building. The door was closed and secured. There were two boxcars sitting on the siding. The doors were open on both of them.
Lena moved along the north side of the building. She checked a couple of aisles halfway down. She was approximately an aisle behind Tina. It gave them a better opportunity to make sure no one was aware of their presence or tried to elude them.
She emerged from between two containers. She spotted the HK Track. She was behind it. It faced towards the north. It looked inactive. It didn't mean it was. She carefully moved up behind it. It was currently turned off. She knew the men wanted to move it. She thought about disconnecting the power supply but decided not to. They still didn't know how many men there were. Based upon the number of bunks there, there should still be a group of them somewhere. She met up with Tina.
The two Terminators quickly discussed everything they saw. They hadn't been able to open any of the containers yet. There was always a metallic 'squeaking' noise when the door locking mechanism was actuated.
They moved to the closest boxcar. It was the south boxcar. The doors were wide open on it. It was empty.
They moved to the second boxcar. It was the north boxcar. The doors were wide open on it. It was empty as well.
"Based on the previous Resistance encounters with boxcars, there was always more than one truck load of equipment in them." Lena said.
Tina was sure there was more equipment elsewhere.
"It usually took three big rigs to haul away the contents." Tina said. "We only saw one big rig leave here. We don't know what was in it."
They knew the female Fanatic currently followed the big rig which left the location. There was a drone over her. It would keep track of where the truck went. Even if the female Fanatic stopped pursuing the truck, the drone would increased its orbit range and track both of them.
They kept track of the drone over there location. The four men they'd encountered earlier we're still running down the tracks. They clearly hoped to hop on the next train which passed. There was a container train approaching their location. It was headed in the same direction they were. CamNet gave it a hard yellow signal. The train slowed dramatically. The four men were able to successfully board it.
If a drone became available, she would have it track them. Once they were out of the area, they could be terminated. CamNet was displeased they hadn't headed her earlier warning with the first gravity shot against the piece of sheet metal. Savannah always told her she needed to use moderation in her responses. Young Allison was much less restrictive.
CamNet's Terminators were alerted by the drone over them of two approaching vehicles. They weren't directly behind each other. They'd actually turned onto the street to approach the target location from different directions. The first vehicle made a left hand turn and headed north. It went in the direction of where the other businesses were located. There were several trucks at those locations. One of them was a big rig.
The other vehicle slowed as it approached. It drove by the target location at a very reduce speed.
"They're looking the building over." Lena said.
Tina didn't know if it was a crew returning or someone looking to make a hit. With the situations they were currently involved with, it was hard to know who the players were. It was even hard to know which faction of the team they specifically represented until the action started.
"Let's hope they don't attack while we're in here." Tina said.
They watched the vehicle continue down the street. It crossed over the next siding and paralleled the spur track where it came off of the siding. The spur track went to the burnt out building down the street.
"Maybe there's more going on at the location than we knew about." Lena said.
They'd watched the earlier drone footage when the female Fanatic looked in the direction of the burnt out building, but didn't actually go down to check it. They quickly realized maybe it was the whole point. If the building looked burnt, why would anyone need to check it? They'd actually used similar ploys before. It was also a common ploy in the future. It was used mainly by the Resistance to conceal their operations.
The drone over them picked up a third contact. It was two individuals on foot. They approached the target location the same way the Metal girls used. As it grew darker the drone was able to drop to a much lower altitude. It was able to capture better detailed images in the darkness.
Tina was a little surprised at the facial recognition.
"Those are the two homeless men who interacted with the female Fanatic earlier." Tina said.
CamNet's Terminators watched as the two 'homeless' men made their approach. It may be they weren't homeless at all. They may have had the building under observation from their vantage point on the other side of the tracks. The slow moving vehicle was now parked at the burnt out building at the end of the cul-de-sac. They could hear some movement in the office area of the building they were in as well. Someone was back out on the workroom floor.
The female Fanatic pulled out onto the main street and began to follow the big rig. She could see the sun go down in the west. She knew it would be dark soon. She thought it might make her job of following the big rig a little easier. All the truck driver would be able to see behind him would be a set of headlights. He wouldn't be able to tell what the vehicle looked like behind him. If they were in an isolated stretch of road, she could turn them off as well. She left plenty of distance and kept a careful watch behind her. She didn't want any surprises, even if she liked to deliver them.
The sun was down now and the sky began to darken. She decided to turn her headlights on. She wanted to make her vehicle harder to identify. There were a few other vehicles on the road going in the direction she was. She tried to keep at least one of them between her and the big rig.
She needed to keep track of the vehicles behind her as well. She knew it was possible the Grays could send along a chase vehicle. She thought if it would be anything, it would be the box truck. She didn't know it was still sitting at the dock. She knew there were other vehicles in the lot. She'd taken a look at them. So far she hadn't spotted any of them.
The female Fanatic continued her loose pursuit towards her next destination. She didn't know where it would be. She currently had two bombs. She doubted it was going to be enough.
I'm Cold
Is the future changeable
Or has it been foretold
For events yet to happen
Can one be paroled
Many go through life
With earplugs and a blindfold
The bill of goods they receive
Isn't what they were sold
Everyone wants to be
Part of the fold
They soon end up with sand
Instead of gems and gold
At some point in time they realize
Nothing can totally be controlled
They watch things slip away
They lose their own foothold
The one who is there
Is the one to behold
It's time to be bold
Before you hear them say, I'm cold
Nobody
