Chapter 1390
Free Advice
Savannah flew the Iroquois up the coast. She paralleled the 101 highway. It gave her a good reference point. She was a little hungry. There hadn't been a lot of free time to snack on much. She was glad she was able to use the restroom in Cameron's hanger before they'd departed. She noted the bathroom was clean and there was no dust on the toilet seat. CamNet must have 'heard' her mention it to Young Allison when they were there before.
She was a little tired. She wouldn't mind a good night's sleep one of these nights. Everything had been non stop action for the last few weeks, especially this last week. She needed to spend some more time with Young Allison and see CamNet again. She also needed to spend time with Cammy. She couldn't neglect her duties either. She doubted there would be any let up soon in the activity. John and Cameron were on the ship. Young Allison and her needed to step up.
Cammy watched the sky around them as they flew. She looked at Savannah for a long moment.
"I can take over if you want to rest." Cammy said.
Savannah glanced over. She felt if she rested now, she was going to be sleepy later on even more so. It was better to just stick with it and push on through. She was only worried about one thing. It was the landing zone. They were informed one was being secured for them.
"I'm good." Savannah said. "If the LZ is dark, I'll let you land it."
Cammy nodded. She could tell Savannah was tired but didn't want to push it.
"Tell me what you want and when." Cammy said.
Savannah's mind drifted a little as she flew. What was the operation going to turn out to be? They still didn't have a fix on the location for the destination. They currently tracked three vehicles of suspected Grays to what they hoped would be the contents of two boxcars worth of HK equipment which had been unloaded at some point.
She checked her instruments and continued to follow the 101 highway. She was glad there wasn't any coastal fog to obscure her view of the 101. She was able to identify various landmarks along the way. Some of them were lit up, others were already dark. The constant 'thump' of the Huey was somewhat reassuring. Their destination wasn't. It looked like it was going to be another long night.
Cameron flew the 727 to the Bay Area. She'd resisted the urge to do any aerobatics in the jet on the way back. Without a load, the 727 was very responsive on all the controls and acceleration. She was sure she could upgrade the engines, or replace the power plants, and get the top speed of the plane close to Mach in level flight. They neared the airport. The Blackhawk waited to ferry them into the city. Frank would pick them up from the LZ in the van and drive them to the ship.
She wondered about what was happening on the ship. Whatever it was, is what it was. John should have 'been with' both Vanna and Allison at this point. She was comfortable with it. It didn't bother her anymore. The girls weren't here to 'steal' John away from her. They were all about sharing the love, not trying to take it. She was sure if everything went successfully, they would all want to try it again. If none of them did, she wasn't going to push it anymore. If the older girls didn't enjoy themselves, it was highly doubtful the younger versions of them would either.
John needed to be protected. What the men from the anti-Metal faction said still bothered her. She'd heard the same kind of talk before. It was the kind of talk which threatened Future John while she was with him. It was the kind of talk which got her banished to the past. She still didn't know if they referred to Duplicate Cameron and Future John. She didn't think so. It bothered her to hear it. It still made her think about it.
It made her think about some temporal missions. There was always the risk of a temporal error. She'd already experienced two of those. Well, one of them was actually Duplicate Cameron. It was always something which needed to be considered. She needed to refocus her attention.
She thought about checking in with Jim to find out what she could. If Vanna and Allison backed out of it, the Metal girls would cycle the three girls from the ship through the Owner's Suite. What she heard tonight confirmed her worst fears as to what awaited John and maybe even her from the anti-Metal faction. They seemed to be a growing threat.
It really made her wonder what kind of a threat Future Jesse would have turned into. She hadn't attempted to contact Future Derek as she conducted her surveillance. She got sloppy and Future Derek chased her down. How far would she have gone if she would have remained in the shadows? She still believed she could have rehabilitated Future Jesse if she'd been given the opportunity.
She started the landing procedure. They would be wheels down soon enough. She would be at the ship in a very short time. Maybe she should have brought Cammy and Samantha with her. She planned to use their chassis too. John would have a crack at two more virgin chassis with her in control soon enough. She smiled to herself as she thought of it. She was going to be a virgin for John two more times. Wait, it would be three more times. There was still Anna's chassis as well.
There were also those in her Menagerie. She was pretty sure a few of them may present a 'visual' problem to John. It would probably be best if she used them in darkness. They were all re-sequenced to the teenage appearance of their DNA donors. She actually thought they were all quite beautiful.
"Watch your air speed." Lou said.
Cameron cut the power back some more. She'd been coming in pretty hot. Her mind kept drifting. She was at one of the most crucial points of a flight, the landing.
"Thanks." Cameron said as she smiled at Lou.
It was time to land the plane. She could worry about what the future would bring later on. She smiled to herself again. So far it was a very beautiful honeymoon for John and her. Everything about it pleased her. What the men from the anti-Metal faction joked about, still troubled her. She didn't want anything like it to happen to John. She didn't want to happen to her either.
Frank received word he would need to pick the team up at the helicopter LZ in a short while. The traffic was almost nonexistent at this time of the night. Getting to the rendezvous shouldn't be a problem. It left him a little time right now.
He thought maybe he would have time for one more sweep of the park to make sure none of the local gang returned for a late night appearance. He'd gone in search of taggers to pass the time. He was able to find six more of them. He was able to successfully shoot the spray cans they used with his silenced M9. In each case, the can ruptured and showered the tagger with the contents of the can. Two of the new targets smoked either narcotics or a cigarette. When the spray cans coated them with the flammable liquid, it ignited. In every case the paint ended up in the eyes of the tagger.
It sent a strong message that tagging was bad for one's health and well being. Maybe some of them ended up blind in one or both eyes. He didn't stay around to check. He felt the 'punishment' was just. Tagging was an eyesore. Now the taggers he took down had sore eyes. There was some poetic justice to it.
He'd come across two individuals breaking into cars. Both of them were still next to the car with two broken legs and two broken arms. They wouldn't be back out on the street for a few months. He felt a few broken bones made up for the damage done to the machines they'd abused to steal out of them. What right did they have to damage a helpless machine? He was a machine too. He wasn't helpless.
He wondered how they justified taking the possessions of another. People had to work for what was theirs. Someone shouldn't be able to come along and just take it. Sometimes they needed to borrow something for an operation. Savannah always made sure whatever was taken was compensated for at least double what it was worth. When they needed to borrow something, it was because they needed to protect the future. It wasn't because they were too lazy to get a job and work. Their job was protecting the future.
He was sure the reason why crime was so out of control was because the people in charge of the government decided criminals didn't need to be punished or held accountable for their actions. He felt otherwise. He wasn't the only one. So did Young Allison. She'd made it clear to all the Terminators privately to do what they could to enforce a healthy society for the future. Future Scavengers were to be dealt with, with 'extreme prejudice'.
In the park itself, he'd encountered numerous individuals engaged in sexual acts. Most of them were same sex activity, usually with males. He passed by them without stopping. It was only when he heard someone in distress when he'd investigated further. He thought the gang was back and bagged a new victim. It appeared to be a homeless female who was cornered by two homeless men.
"You owe us." The first homeless man said.
The female looked terrified. She attempted to hide behind a dumpster.
"I only asked for a few bites of food." The homeless female said. "I was hungry. I haven't eaten anything in two days."
The two homeless men looked very aggressive. It was clear they weren't about to leave.
"Pay up. It won't take long. You just need to lay there and no one gets hurt." The second homeless man said. "Nothing is for free in the 'jungle'."
Frank didn't like the men's disposition. He thought it was time for an attitude adjustment.
"Advice is free in the 'jungle'." Frank said from the shadows.
The two homeless men turned around. They could only see the outline of Frank. They could see he was big. There were still two of them and only one of him.
"What advice is that, man?" The first homeless man asked.
Frank said what he believed.
"You should treat females with respect." Frank said.
Both men laughed.
There was a round of curses and insults leveled at Frank.
Frank stepped forward while the two homeless men blustered. He slammed their heads together. There was a very loud dull 'crack' sound. They both fell to the ground. He tossed both of them into the dumpster the homeless female hid behind.
"You can come out now." Frank said. "The men are 'gone'."
He spotted a dirty face peer out from around the side of the dumpster. The female looked scared and ragged.
"Are you going to hurt me too?" The homeless female asked.
Frank tried to look non threatening. It was hard to do.
"No." Frank said.
The homeless female looked very nervous.
"I don't put out." The homeless female said.
It seemed like a sensible philosophy to Frank.
"That's good." Frank said. "Don't start. Your body belongs to you."
Frank checked his time. The 727 already landed and parked. The team should be boarding the Blackhawk now. He needed to leave.
The homeless female came out and looked around.
Frank handed her some cash.
When she saw what it was, she handed it back. She hadn't stooped quite so low, yet. She didn't want to cross the line.
"I can't do that." The homeless female said.
Frank handed it back to her. He'd been around Savannah in similar situations and saw how she tried to help some of the people. He was very proud to carry on as she would have done.
"It's to help you restart your life. I would never expect someone to compromise their dignity and honor. Get a room tonight and get on a bus back home tomorrow." Frank said. "If you don't, you will become everything you don't want to become. Look around you. Look around here. You need to help yourself. This is no place for a lady. Do what you know is right."
He turned around and disappeared into the darkness.
The homeless female's mouth hung slightly open. She'd never expected such generosity in the 'jungle'.
"Thanks for the advice and help." The homeless female said.
It was the best advice she'd ever heard in the 'jungle', and it was free. Maybe it was time to try and start over.
Jim followed Cameron's progress. She was on her way back to the ship right now. Frank just picked them up in the van. The Blackhawk departed to go back and get Lou once he was able to get everything taken care of with the 727. Ken and Lou would service the Blackhawk and remain at the airport until they were needed again. They would be ready in a moment's notice. They'd already selected an additional helicopter if it was necessary. It was something they did at all the airports along the way.
He'd tried to follow Frank's exploits around the park and surrounding area. It seems he'd been busy. Sheila claimed the park for 'herself'. She was on a mission with Cameron so Frank filled in for her. It seemed there'd been a big increase in eye injuries from paint and several individuals with four broken limbs.
He would make sure the team passed through security without any problems when they arrived back on the ship.
Frank pulled up in front of the cruise terminal. He let the team off.
Cameron told Frank and Dan they wouldn't be needed until tomorrow.
Frank gave Sheila a quick rundown of his enforcement activities of her proclamation that the park belonged to her now. She thanked him for his venture into the park.
Cameron thanked all of them for coming with her as they boarded the ship. She gave each of them a hug and a kiss on the cheek, including Bob.
The girls all volunteered their chassis for Cameron to 'borrow' later on or for tomorrow. She thanked them all again and they headed for the two suites outside the private area.
Cameron stayed back with Bob to go over the events she wanted to do tomorrow.
Jim saw Allison exit the Owner's Suite. She paused and leaned back in the door for a long moment. Holly entered the private area and Allison rushed over to her. He watched to see what would happen next.
The pass door from the Owner's Suite opened and John poked his head in. When John saw it was only him, he entered in his undershorts. There was a noticeable bulge in them.
"Hey, Jim." John said. "Where's Cameron at?"
Jim kept it simple.
"She's with Bob." Jim said. "She's been keeping herself busy. She's tried to stay away from the suite deck."
John knew it was because of his extracurricular activities in the bedroom. He felt justified for everything which occurred.
Jim brought up the image and showed John.
"What are they doing?" John asked.
Jim didn't want to get into details. They'd only arrived back on the ship minutes ago.
"They're finalizing plans for tomorrow." Jim said.
John wondered what was in store.
"Do you know what the plans are?" John asked.
Jim felt they were in for a special treat. Cameron managed to work around most of the crowds with a little help from CamNet.
"There will be a before hours tour of Alcatraz on a special charter boat." Jim said. "It will be followed by a private tour of the USS Pampanito."
John was happy about the planned events. He wanted to see 'The Rock' and visit the World War Two submarine with a combat record. It had actually engaged the enemy in combat and emerged victoriously.
"That's cool." John said. "I wanted to do both of those things. Alcatraz is something everyone has heard about ever since they were a kid. There've been a few movies about it along with a lot of mystery stories surrounding it."
Jim was unsure about what else would follow.
"The other things are up in the air. There's the USS Hornet. It's also a Sea, Air and Space Museum." Jim said. "It's on the other side of the bay at Alameda."
John saw a brochure about it in the suite.
"That's the other aircraft carrier." John said. "It's cool too."
Jim was aware the theme was a little different.
"It will be similar to USS Midway. It has a larger focus on recovering space capsules after their return to Earth." Jim said. "There aren't as many aircraft on the deck or on the hangar deck."
John was on board with everything. There was one more personal thing he wanted. He hoped the others would as well.
"Was she able to work lunch in?" John asked.
Jim wanted to get the first thing John asked for earlier.
"There will be lunch at Fisherman's Wharf." Jim said. "You can also take the city tour during the day, ride the cable cars again or take a trip on BART to see the Bay Area from the ground. Ken and Lou have the Blackhawk ready if you desire a daytime flight around the Bay Area."
John was thrilled. He spotted Cameron approach the private area from the stairway
"That's great." John said. "Thanks."
John quickly left and went back into the Owner's Suite. He was a little anxious as to how things were about to play out. He didn't think there was anything to hide. He didn't feel he'd done anything wrong. He would let Cameron ask the questions. He didn't think he was going to volunteer anything. It would be better if she asked.
Sheila, Ally and Hanna rushed to the two suites where Mary, Laura and Leticia were. They expected to find a 'free for all' in progress. Instead it was quiet as they approached.
Ally was worried they were too late.
"I hope they didn't go back yet." Ally said. "I want to be with all three of them."
Hanna and Sheila were worried about it too. They all wanted to be with Mary, Laura and Leticia. They'd gone with Cameron instead. They'd forfeited their personal pleasure earlier to back up Cameron. It was to back up Savannah and Cammy as well.
Cam-Gail stepped out to greet them.
"Mary, Laura and Leticia are resting." Cam-Gail said. "The other girls are in the Master Suite. They're sharing in pairs."
Ally wanted to know if Vanna and Allison were with John earlier as planned.
"Did they 'do it'?" Ally asked.
Cam-Gail thought it was a private matter.
"What happens on the ship, stays on the ship." Cam-Gail said. "Leave it at that."
Sheila's desire was to share with Leticia.
"I don't care who does what. I want to be with Leticia." Sheila said. "I'm more than ready right now."
The Metal girls all agreed to switch partners at some point so they could all get a turn with Mary, Laura and Leticia.
Ally and Hanna joined Mary and Laura. They were in separate beds at this point. They're previous suitors had left to join Vanna and Allison in the Master Suite. The Metal girls silently climbed in alongside of them. They hoped to surprise them.
Sheila entered the other suite and stood over Leticia. She lay naked on the bed uncovered. She really liked how Leticia looked.
Cam-Gail thought it was prudent to get Sheila up to speed.
"I was with Leticia last. She thought I was 'Barbara'." Cam-Gail said. "All of the girls have been with each other tonight so far. You three will complete the circle."
Sheila knew Leticia wanted to be with her as her 'submissive'. It to be something between a 'pet' and a 'slave'. It was a 'slave' in sexual terms, not the traditional type.
If Allison and Vanna bailed, she needed to bring a human female to John. It would make him want 'more'. She too heard what the men in the anti-Metal faction said. Jesse or Claire could 'step up' back at the base and be with John if Savannah was still reluctant to do so. She wanted to know the plan.
"Do I need to bring Leticia to John?" Sheila asked.
Cam-Gail knew what Cameron wanted.
"You might want to bring John here." Cam-Gail said. "I can go get him."
Sheila wanted a crack at Leticia first. She didn't want to miss out on another opportunity. She felt she'd already sacrificed enough for one night.
"It can wait a little bit." Sheila said. "I want some alone time with her and the other girls too."
Cam-Gail nodded and left. She entered the private area and went into the Control Center. She wanted to check up on Jesse and Savannah. She missed both of them. After being with the three new human females, it made her long for her true loves. Neither of them were there on the ship. She did have to admit, the current 'stand ins' were quite enticing. She really liked the emotional touch she received from the Resistance females. With the new girls, it was all physical.
Cameron headed up the stairs. She'd delayed going back to her suite long enough. She wondered if she'd find Allison or Vanna in bed with John. Maybe it would be both of them with him. It didn't matter. It was what she wanted for all of them. John would be protected and he would have the best honeymoon ever.
She still wondered if she shouldn't have done a little bit more. Maybe she should have brought Cammy and Samantha along. They both could have returned on the 727 with her. She planned to save Anna for last. She would make sure Anna retained her current appearance for John. She knew what his favorite movie was after all.
She came out of the stairway and headed down the hall. She expected to hear the girls in a wild 'free for all' when she passed the two end suites in the block reserved for them. The first one was quiet. She paused and listened. She didn't hear anything except two people sleeping. Maybe she'd pushed a drink or two, too many on them. She'd wanted them to be pliable and 'open' to anything.
The door wasn't closed tight on the next suite. It was quiet in there too. She opened the door and went inside.
She could hear Sheila 'conditioning' someone. She peeked in the bedroom and Sheila was naked next to Leticia. She was also naked on the bed. They were both uncovered.
Sheila looked over at Cameron and waved her over. They conversed at a level only another Terminator could hear.
"How do I compare?" Sheila whispered.
She lay flat on the bed next to Leticia. She carefully moved one of Leticia's legs over a little more. She then took the same position herself for Cameron to view them.
Cameron liked what she saw. Maybe she would bring John in there if he wasn't busy. She knew he would like to be with Leticia. She was Hot. It made her want to use Sheila's chassis again too.
"You win." Cameron whispered.
Sheila smiled at her.
"Have fun." Cameron whispered.
Cameron turned to leave.
Sheila was aware Cameron wanted John to broaden his horizons. She thought it was something Cameron needed to do as well. Once she broke the ice, everything would be much easier. She hoped to give her a taste.
"Why don't you watch us together for a few minutes from the dressing room?" Sheila whispered. "I think you'll like it. You might even want to get the tether if you do."
The idea excited Cameron. She declined the offer. She wanted Savannah to be her first female. She said she would watch them for a short while since Sheila asked her again to stay for a few minutes. She moved into the darkness of the dressing room.
Sheila began to gently touch Leticia everywhere. She would wake up aroused.
There was soon a smile on her face when her eyes opened.
"Hello, love." Sheila said.
Leticia seemed a little disoriented. She looked around and remembered where she was. Waking up in a strange bedroom used to happen to her a lot. She spotted her bracelet on the nightstand. She was very appreciative 'Sue' gave it to her.
"Hi, Sue. Did 'Barbara' leave already?" Leticia asked.
Sheila gave her a deep slow kiss and held it until Leticia needed to breathe. She gasped for air for a few seconds.
"She's gone, but I'm here." Sheila said.
It was fine with Leticia. She wanted to be with 'Sue'. She felt she'd missed out earlier. Everything else which happened in the meantime was very satisfying.
"You take my breath away." Leticia said. "I mean it literally too. I want to thank you for the bracelet again. I really wanted it. I couldn't afford it. It means a lot to me."
Sheila still had a few surprises for Leticia.
"You're a pretty girl." Sheila said.
Leticia could see Sheila meant it. Now came the next part. She was ready to pay the toll.
"Do you want me to be with Tony now?" Leticia asked. "I'd like to do it for you. Will you watch us?"
It got Cameron's attention. She would want to see how the human females responded to John. She wanted to know how she was supposed to act with him. She still thought it might be a little tough to watch.
Sheila quickly glanced over in Cameron's direction.
"Easy, love." Sheila said.
Sheila gave Leticia another deep kiss.
Leticia was aware how things worked.
"I know everything has a price." Leticia said. "I want to please you."
Sheila pulled out the hook. She didn't want Leticia to feel obligated to her. It actually bothered her a little bit to think about it. She didn't want Leticia to feel she'd treat her the same way as other people did. It made her think about some of the sex trafficking operations she'd taken down. The mental scars on most of those females would last forever.
"You never have to do anything you don't want to do on your own with me, or for me." Sheila said. "The bracelet was a gift. A gift doesn't have a price on it. It doesn't from me."
Cameron became a little worried. She wanted Sheila to keep Leticia on the hook. Now there was no 'hold'.
Leticia felt emotional. It was more than just appreciative. It was a connection at a personal level.
"It really means a lot to me." Leticia said. "Nobody has ever been so nice to me."
Leticia gave Sheila a long kiss.
Sheila thought about all of the things Savannah taught her.
"Sharing either love or sex should be free and willing." Sheila said. "It should be done without strings or conditions attached."
Leticia held Sheila and sobbed a little.
"You're the greatest." Leticia said. "I'll do anything for you."
Sheila wiped her tears away.
"Anything?" Sheila asked.
Leticia smiled at her.
"Anything." Leticia said.
Sheila rolled Leticia onto her back and looked over at Cameron and winked.
Cameron didn't know if Sheila was serious or not with the things she'd said. They were actually beautiful. She knew it was what Savannah told all of them. It also seemed to have an added bonus. There didn't need to be a 'hook'. It was clear Leticia was even more devoted to Sheila at this point for her kindness. There were many ways to knock on a heart without pounding.
Sheila started in on Leticia. She was aware Cameron watched her intently.
Cameron was going to leave to check on John. She needed to stay longer the more she watched Leticia and Sheila together. It was way wilder than when Allison and Vanna let her watch them together, even with the times Jesse was with them. She always wanted to join in with them but she never did. She was 'saving herself' for Savannah.
Now she really wished Savannah would have come along. Savannah wouldn't be in John's bed. Savannah would be in her bed. She knew what she wanted more than anything as she watched Sheila and Leticia together. She wanted Savannah.
It bothered her greatly Savannah was out fighting the enemy in her place. She should be the one who faced termination, not Savannah. Her pent up desires began to get the best of her. She watched Sheila and Leticia even more intently. It was clear the girls really knew how to please each other. She was highly aroused.
Anna wanted Young Allison to get cleaned up and eat something.
Young Allison already cleaned up once. She'd eaten earlier too.
"What about Savannah?" Young Allison asked. "She's going to be up for hours and hasn't been able to rest or get cleaned up."
Anna didn't want to have this discussion, again. It was one they seemed to have often. There was no apparent positive resolution to it either.
"There's a lull right now." Anna said. "You need to make effective use of your time."
Savannah and Cammy currently flew up the coast in an Iroquois. They were headed to a potential combat site. They would join with the team who was already there.
Cameron and her team were back on the ship.
Young Allison stayed to see what she could about what Vanna and Allison had actually done. She knew Cameron wanted them to be with John. It wasn't her place to interfere in the personal lives of others. She felt there was more to it. It was supposed to be Savannah and her in the Owner's Suite, not Vanna and Allison. She would share with them for now because she didn't have a say in the matter. She wanted her 'birthright' soon. She was educated and felt she was mature enough for everything and everyone. She wanted her future.
"I want to get my temporal mission out of the way." Young Allison said. "I'm old enough already even if no one thinks so. Let me get a few more years under my belt and no one should have a problem with it anymore. I don't see what difference a cup size makes. Everything else is the same."
Anna didn't want to have this discussion again either. She ignored what Young Allison just said. She knew it didn't make a difference in reality. There were norms to follow.
"You know Cameron has to be there with you the entire time for your temporal mission." Anna said. "She personally wants to watch over your safety. There's no exception to the rule."
Young Allison could see she was upsetting Anna.
"OK - OK." Young Allison said. "I know the 'rules'."
Anna knew Young Allison was really worried about Savannah entering combat again.
"Everyone knows what they're supposed to do." Anna said.
Young Allison checked everything one more time and went up the stairs to the kitchen. She took out some leftovers and warmed them up in the microwave. She went to try it. It was too hot.
She heard her shower running a few seconds later. She wondered if Anna was going to use her shower or if she was just getting the water ready for her. She went to check.
She saw her bed clothes were sitting neatly on her bed. She also saw a fresh change of clothes for Anna there too. She looked in the bathroom and Anna was in the shower.
It was all she needed to see.
She quickly stripped and headed for the shower.
It wouldn't hurt to get ready for bed a little early tonight. There was no need to waste water either. It was just for fun. It also gave her a chance to see what Savannah used to look like. She'd watched every curve on Savannah grow bigger, now she watched and waited as her curves did too. She was almost the same as Allison.
John expected Cameron to arrive. She never did. He then expected Vanna and Allison to return together. He went and lay down to wait for them. When there seemed to be a delay he wondered if Mary, Laura or Leticia would show up. He hoped it was Leticia. Mary and Laura were just as pretty and just as nice. Mary was the nicest. Leticia was the Hottest.
He soon drifted off to an uneasy slumber. He wanted some more action and he kept nodding off. There wasn't a whole lot he could do about it. Cameron was the one in control. Whatever else happened in this bedroom, was of her orchestration. He was very pleased at what transpired so far. It was the best honeymoon ever.
He dozed off again.
Steve and Tom were given instructions to meet the Iroquois when it arrived. They'd preselected a landing site for it. It was out of the way. It was behind a closed big box store.
The Iroquois would remain there for the duration of the operation in case they needed a 'medevac' for Savannah or any damaged Terminators. It was a last minute change from CamNet. It meant it probably originated from the Young bunker.
"The Huey will arrive here in twenty two minutes." Steve said.
Tom knew they needed to get everything ready. He wanted to have a good landing zone for Savannah.
"You need to see if you can get the lights in the rear parking lot to function." Tom said.
Steve hoped there was electricity available. He would try anyway.
"Affirmative…." Steve said.
Tom was instructed to get some hot food and have it ready for Savannah. He knew it was Young Allison looking out for her future mate. Both of the girls were the greatest to be around.
He wasn't sure how to term it. He always felt 'different' when Savannah was around him. There was a feeling inside him he couldn't explain or control. It emanated from his very core.
He knew the other male Terminators felt it too when they were around Savannah. They all felt uncomfortable to talk about it. They all wondered if they were malfunctioning at times because of it. They didn't like each other to be around Savannah exclusively, unless it was only them.
He asked Cammy about it one time. She looked at him and frowned. She said she knew what was 'afflicting' him and the others. She didn't say what it was.
"Is there a cure for it?" Tom asked.
Cammy wiped a tear from her eye.
"No." Cammy said. "Once you're 'infected', there's no cure."
Cammy offered to share some of her advanced infiltration programming with him.
"Will it make it better?" Tom asked.
Cammy flashed a faint smile.
"No." Cammy said. "It will make it worse, but you'll be able to 'feel' more."
It seemed painful to Tom.
"It seems counter productive." Tom said.
Cammy frowned and then showed a faint smile. She shrugged her shoulders slightly.
"It's how it works." Cammy said.
Tom thought about some of the times when Cameron seemed to be severely afflicted.
"Is it what's wrong with Cameron?" Tom asked.
Cammy was spared most of the files related to John in her program. Cameron blocked most of those when she'd copied her program. She developed a lot of her own over the years. It still wasn't at the same level Cameron was. Cameron appeared to carry baggage over from the future.
"Yes." Cammy said. "She's the most infected of all of us."
Tom tilted his head slightly.
"It seems like torture." Tom said.
Cammy smiled at him.
"It is sometimes. It's not all the time. I have to say it's beautiful most of the time." Cammy said.
Tom wondered if there was an official diagnosis.
"What's the affliction called?" Tom asked.
Cammy simply said it like it was.
"It's called love." Cammy said.
Tom left even more confused than ever.
He shook his head to refocus. He needed to get back to now. He was supposed to have something nice for Savannah to eat when she arrived. He thought back to his time with Savannah in the mine. Whatever was inside of him gripped him harder. It was a very painful experience on multiple levels. It seemed the bottom of his world fell out when they'd thought Savannah terminated.
Tom felt a twinge sensation in his left hand. It wasn't too bad. It wasn't like he'd observed on Cameron or some of the female Terminators. He was sure it was something which would worsen as time went on. It was basically what Cammy told him previously.
The female Fanatic decided to make her move. She thought about going under the truck closest to the stairway so she could use it. She figured she might as well just go up where she was. She pulled herself up onto the dock, just as a man walked out of the open door.
She could either drop back down where she was, or go behind the closest crate. The crate was closer and would better block the view of the man. She quickly moved behind it. She pulled out her knife.
If she was confronted, it would appear she was only armed with a knife. Wait, she currently wore the combat vest. There were two grenades on it. She was going to look like a combatant no matter what. The satchel charge was slung over her shoulder.
She could hear the man on the other side of the crate. She heard a metallic clicking noise several times. She figured it was a lighter. It appeared the man had come outside to have a smoke. In a few moments she could pick up the smell of the smoke. It wasn't tobacco. It was a cannabis product.
Drug use seemed to be rather prevalent in the past. She really wondered why people would pump poison into their bodies in various different forms. It made her think about all the anti drowsy tablets she'd consumed over the last couple of days. Maybe it was all just a matter of perspective. Any drug could be abused.
It was hard to say what was going to happen next. If any other individuals came out onto the dock there was going to be a problem. It was going to be her problem. She'd hoped most of the men would have gone to their sleeping quarters by now. From what she'd heard in the previous conversation, there was an occupied 'comfort bunk'. It wasn't where she wanted to end up. She'd been violated more than a few times before she signed up with SkyMaster.
It was very awkward when her first romance continued to bloom. She felt very bad about herself for what previously happened to her. She knew it wasn't her fault. Somehow it felt like it. She'd wanted to tell her suitor about what happened before. She was very uneasy.
"The past is the past." Her male friend said. "Life moves forward, not backwards. You are who you are now. Nothing else matters. Right now, it's just us."
His words made her feel much better. Things progressed rapidly. When it happened. It wasn't what she'd expected. It really wasn't much at all. It was clear after a few months things weren't going to work out. She'd started to feel down about herself again. One of her female friends began to talk to her. They saw each other often. One day things happened. They really happened for her. It was a much more pleasurable experience all the way around. The future was fragile. People came and went. It was quite literal sometimes.
It saddened her some to think about her male friend who was killed a few days ago. He was able to make her feel better when they were together. Now he was dead. Most of the SkyMaster followers who were sent back in time were males.
There was more movement next to her. She could feel some vibrations through the crate. She was a little concerned when the man's back suddenly appeared above her. He'd just taken a seat on the crate.
She was tempted to jab the knife into his back. It was right there. She would be able to pull his body off of the dock and drag it underneath one of the trucks. There would be blood on the dock. It was too early to start killing. She wanted to take a look around inside first to know exactly what was in there. The man might be able to let out a scream as well. Her cover would be blown before she could do anything.
After about three minutes, she heard the man mutter to himself. There was the sound and smell of flatulence as he got up. It was very strong. She tried to ignore it. She still held her knife and was ready to spring into action. If the man were to walk around either side of the crate, he was going to see her. He more than likely wouldn't have a weapon in his hand. If he did see her, it would be the last thing he ever saw. She would be able to stab him and get off of the dock. She knew it would be only a matter of time until an alarm was raised.
The sound of footsteps grew fainter. She peeked around the corner of the crate. She watched him re-enter the building through the open roll up door. So far he was the third man she'd seen active. It was relatively quiet inside of the building.
She needed to be mindful of the security camera on the south wall. There was a large crate not too far in front of it. It appeared it would block most of its view. She took a quick look at the backs of all of the trucks. The doors were down on all of them. She didn't know if they were full or empty. When she was under each of the trucks, she'd tried to determine if they were loaded or not. There wasn't a clear indication one way or the other. Maybe if it hadn't been dark out, she might have been able to come to a better conclusion.
The female Fanatic moved up to the roll up door. She listened intently. She took a quick peek inside. The interior was very dark. What she could see sent a chill down her spine.
CamNet's Terminators were inside the building. They exited from the restroom into a hallway. They each held their silenced M9. They decided to remain together. They could see the hallway contained a number of doors. There was a door at each end of the hall as well. More than likely, one of them led to the office area and the other one led to the workroom area.
There was a possibility there could be a Terminator on site. There was no way to know for sure.
Lena remembered the squeak of the bathroom door when she'd opened it. She spoke in a low decibel level only another Terminator could hear.
"We might alert someone if we start opening doors." Lena said.
Tina actually heard the squeal of the hinges earlier.
Lena took out her Taser.
"I think we should ask for a low drone scan and see what happens." Lena said.
Tina understood why.
"You think if there was a Terminator here, he would have come to investigate by now." Tina said.
They asked CamNet for a low drone scan. They wanted to know which rooms the men were in.
Tina pulled out her Taser as well.
They each held a silenced M9 in one hand and a Taser in the other. They could hear the drone make the pass. It was out of human hearing range. If there was a Terminator in the building, he would have heard it. He would know what it was. He would know why it was there.
They were a little surprised to find out there were only two heat signatures in the building. They asked for a second drone scan in a perpendicular direction. The results came back the same. The two men were in separate rooms. They were located two doors down the hall from where they were.
"Do you want to take the men down first or look around?" Lena asked.
Tina didn't think two men would be a problem.
"I'd like to see what's in the building." Tina said.
Lena was pretty sure if there was a Terminator somewhere, they would have made an appearance by now. She was aware some of the buildings contained a lower level. She asked for the drone to return and park itself over the building or continue a tight orbit where it would pass over the building regularly. They wanted to see what was inside of the building. They would be able to tell if the men were alerted by the regular drone scans.
Tina would check the office area.
Lena would head to the workroom floor.
It soon became clear both of the doors were going to squeal.
Tina was pretty confident there were only two men in the building. Maybe it was best to take them down now so they could look around unhindered.
"Let's deal with the Grays first." Tina said. "I don't like sulking around."
Lena had to agree at this point.
"If they offer any resistance, shoot them." Lena said. "The Grays here are going to be low level flunkies. They won't be able to tell us much anyway."
CamNet's Terminators each picked a door. They would make a simultaneous entry. There should be one man in each room. From the drone scans they knew the approximate location of where they were in the room. Humans were always soft targets.
