Chapter 1393

Follow Me

Cammy retrieved Savannah's M9 from under the car. She then pulled out her knife to remove the Terminator's chip.

Savannah moved up to the door and listened. It seemed quiet. She wasn't sure it meant it would be when they went inside. She needed to be mindful about anyone else coming out.

She moved around the door and took a quick look inside. She glanced back and saw Cammy dump the Terminator in the back seat of the car and close the door.

Cammy moved to the back of the car and closed the trunk with the two dead Grays in it. She then picked up the boxes she'd removed from the trunk and placed them on the floor in the front seat of the car.

She took the keys from the ignition and locked the car. She didn't want anyone they missed to escape from the building and drive off with the hard drives.

Cammy quickly joined Savannah. They moved inside the building.

"Com traffic indicates there were two Grays in the other two buildings. This one had two as well." Cammy said.

Savannah thought they should check further. There could be more.

"They also each contained four pieces of HK equipment." Savannah said. "Let's check it out."

Cammy took the lead.

They passed what looked like the sleeping quarters for two people.

"Those two may have been it for the Grays." Cammy said.

They needed to see what else was in the building.

They found the boxes the Grays carried in earlier on a table near the front door. Cammy was going to put them back in the car when they both heard something.

It was the unmistakable clanking of metal treads on concrete.

Cammy and Savannah stopped. There was at least one HK Track active inside the building.

"We have an HK Track on the move." Cammy reported.

They weren't sure why there was active HK equipment in the building they were in. In the other two buildings, nothing was activated. They weren't sure what was different where they were at. Maybe there was something of higher value inside the building. It would call for further investigation. They would need to use a lot of caution. They didn't know if things were about to go hot or not. They really didn't know much of anything yet.

They watched the operation unfold from drone footage and body cams in the Young bunker. Everything seemed to progress smoothly until Cammy and Savannah made their move.

They were surprised at the action, but not at the outcome.

"Typical." Young Allison said. "Savannah ends up with a Terminator."

Anna worried about something else.

"If there's some version of Skynet there, they may encounter more Metal." Anna said. "It may not just be Terminators either."

No sooner than she warned of it, they received the confirmation.

"We have an HK Track on the move." Cammy reported.

Young Allison quickly looked at Anna.

It wasn't what they wanted to hear.

"Get another team over to them." Young Allison said.

Richard and Michael got back in the Gray's car to go the short distance to the location where Cammy and Savannah were.

"There's a little more help on the way." Anna said.

Young Allison was worried where things were going to go. There was a strong possibility there were more than three separate buildings associated with the Grays. As far as they knew, there could be half a dozen buildings.

"We need to watch for any HK drones showing up or taking off from around where they are." Young Allison said. "Make sure all the drones are ready to deploy countermeasures for any attack from the ground or air."

Anna sent the information. It was already being done.

Active HK Tracks could attempt to engage their drones in the air as well as their personnel on the ground. Hidden HK drones could go airborne at any moment. They were a threat too. They could be in any of the buildings.

The threat of more Grays or hostile Terminators was real too. There could be more anywhere.

The teams on the ground didn't know what the actual size or scope of the operation was.

Jim looked over at Cameron when Cammy made the report about a hostile Terminator and the active HK Track. He saw her left hand start to glitch.

Sheila picked up on it and moved over to Cameron's left side and took her hand. It suppressed the glitching some but didn't stop it. She looked at Jim and indicated the Master Suite with her eyes.

Thirty three seconds later, the pass door from the spare room of the Master Suite opened and Vanna and Allison appeared. They were in the process of putting bathrobes on. Neither bothered to tie them closed.

Sheila silently got up. Vanna and Allison sat on both sides of Cameron. They each took her hand. Cameron looked at both of them and gave them a faint smile. The glitching soon stopped as Vanna held Cameron's left hand firmly. 'Savannah Weaver' was at her side as was 'Allison Young'. It was the 'Chosen Ones', well, almost.

Cameron was proud of 'her girls'. She was very pleased she'd been able to 'share John' with them. She didn't know what the outcome was though. Maybe nothing happened. It was possible it could have been a negative experience for one or both of them. She decided right then if Vanna had a negative experience, she wasn't going to 'make' Savannah fulfill that promised to her. Some people just had different desires. Different things pleased them. She wasn't going to ask unless they said something.

She knew both of the girls loved her dearly. It was very reassuring. She was aware if the girls were given a choice between John and her, they would pick her. It was a very pleasant thought as well. Right now they just sat in silence. United they all drew strength from each other.

Cam-Gail returned to the end suite in the block and switched out with Ally and Hanna to be with Mary and Laura again. They needed some sleep but they could knock one off every time one of them woke up.

Ally and Hanna retreated to the suite next door. They found what they wanted in there anyway. It was Leticia.

Frank and Dan moved off of the main street. They were in an alley. They heard some noise in front of them. They saw a black feline lift its head and look in their direction. It hissed at them and ran off. It never looked back once. They both still carried the predator hormones.

They were halfway down the alley when they heard some glass break. They looked at each other for a brief moment. The sound was only a short distance in front of them. They doubted it was the feline. They detected voices as they conversed in hushed tones.

"I told you to be careful, man." The first man said.

"I was careful, dude." The second man said. "I only pried on the window frame. It's not my fault the glass broke."

Dan and Frank were close enough to determine exactly where the sound emanated from. They spoke only in tones another Terminator could hear.

"They're right between these two buildings." Dan said.

Frank wanted to make sure they didn't get away. Property damage, burglary and theft was a serious crime. He didn't agree with the current philosophy of prosecutors. They didn't think 'property crimes' were a problem. They said they were just 'things'. It didn't matter. People could always purchase new ones. They could insure what was theirs as well. He was aware those were all burdens for the rightful owner of the property. They shouldn't need to worry about any of those things. It was the criminals who were at fault.

"I can go around to the front and make sure they can't get out from the direction they must have entered." Frank said. "If they'd been in the alley earlier, we would have seen them."

They could hear the sound of wood splintering.

"I got it, man." The first man said.

"Let's get inside and grab what we can." The second man said.

The Terminators realized they needed to act now. They made their move as the first man entered the building through the window he'd pried open. The second man was about to enter as well.

The first man clambered inside of the window. His foot landed on a piece of the broken glass from the window. It caused him to slip. His rear end impacted into the glass fragments on the floor. He let out a muffled cry of pain as the broken glass punctured his pants and dug into his flesh.

He looked back up at the window and saw his associate start to enter. All of a sudden he seemed to vanish. He wondered if the other man had fallen. He heard a muffled grunt from the other side of the wall. He went to lift himself up to look out the window. He placed his hand on the ground and it ended up in the broken glass. He let out another slight cry of pain. He now had cuts on both his rear end and his left hand.

"Where are you?" The first man asked. "Get in here and help me."

Dan spoke in the second man's voice. He was currently incapacitated.

"I'm right outside the window, dude" The 'second man' said. "Give me a hand."

The first man was a little reassured when he heard the second man's voice. He didn't know it was actually a Terminator emulating him.

He reached up to the window frame with his right hand. He pulled himself up. As his head came up above the window sill there were two red objects right in front of him. His brain couldn't comprehend what he looked at. In a flash, something grabbed him. The next thing he knew, he was outside on the ground. The wind had been knocked out of him. There was some dim light from the street. He could make out two large figures standing over him. He glanced over to the side and saw his associate. He wasn't moving.

"Crime will no longer be tolerated in this city." Dan said.

Frank moved a little closer to the first man.

"Once you're out of the hospital, you'll spread the word." Frank said.

The first man looked around nervously. He looked at his left hand in the dim light. The injuries weren't very serious.

"Hospital, why would I be in the hospital?" The first man asked.

Dan indicated his associate.

"Because you're going to be in the same condition he is." Dan said.

The first man looked over at his associate. He could see both of his legs were bent at a crazy angle. His arms appeared to be as well. Before he knew what happened, he felt a sharp impact in each of his legs and in both of his arms. The pain was intense. He didn't even have time to scream before he blacked out.

The two Terminators gave the criminals the same treatment Frank had done earlier to the car thieves. The two men now had two broken arms and two broken legs. They wouldn't be committing any crimes for a few months.

Dan and Frank moved away from the two men. They exited out onto the street. It was the direction the men had entered from. They passed through a gate which had been broken open.

"Maybe we should just have terminated them." Dan said.

Frank was aware of what Savannah's guidelines were. She wanted them to use moderation unless the conditions dictated otherwise.

"The punishment was appropriate for the type of crime." Frank said. "If it would have been a crime against another individual, especially a female, termination more than likely would have been warranted."

They continued on towards the park. They thought about separating to cover a larger area in the park. They decided to stay together and move more rapidly instead.

They'd encountered one man trying to rob a couple at knife point.

Dan walked right up to him and knocked the knife out of his hand. There was a double snap sound as he broke the bones in the man's forearm. The man screamed. He cradled his arm as he ran away.

The couple quickly disappeared. They were as scared of Dan as they were of the armed robber.

They couldn't locate any of the gang members Sheila wanted to teach a lesson to. Maybe it was a good thing and they listened. They doubted they would listen for long.

They made another sweep of the park and only spotted some homeless couples having sex in a few places. Most of the others they'd encountered were drunk or on drugs. One man was deceased. There was a needle still stuck in his arm.

They decided to go in search of taggers or other criminal activity that needed some corrective action, if not 'punishment'.

When they returned back to the base after the cruise, they decided they would accompany Cameron, Ally and Sheila on some of their 'off the books' endeavors if they got the chance. They liked to help clean up the community and take out the trash. It seemed like a very responsible civic duty to them.

Cammy and Savannah were worried. There was one active HK Track in the building with them. It was on the move right now. They didn't think it was looking for them specifically but it could be. They'd been careful to keep the noise down. There was no gunfire which wasn't silenced. Their drones stayed out of Terminator hearing range. Maybe the HK Track detected them. Maybe the HK Track wondered where the Grays went and hadn't returned. It could be on a routine patrol too.

If it was active before they arrived, it was for a reason. The reason was most likely because Skynet, or some version of it, was there.

The clanking grew louder.

Cammy wanted to avoid it.

"It's coming this way." Cammy said.

Savannah hoped to disable it.

"Do you have a shocker?" Savannah asked.

Cammy held up her hand with something in it.

"I have one." Cammy said.

Cammy and Savannah both held Tasers in their right hands. It seemed the threat now would be Metal of some kind. The Tasers were only effective against Terminators from a short distance. Against other types of HK equipment, they would have to be in contact with it. The barbs would need to jam into a seam or a joint in order to deliver the shock. Any other part of it would deflect the barbs.

They both received the plans for the building on their phones. It appeared someone was on the ball.

Cammy looked at the plan.

"Follow me." Cammy whispered.

They entered a room and exited out a door on the other side. They were able to bypass the HK Track for now. They needed to see if there was a 'clean room' there. If there was, they needed to know how far along the version Skynet was.

John Henry confirmed there was minimal energy usage most of the time. If there was a version of Skynet there, it wasn't fully operational. The hard drives, which were out in the car, would most likely have completed it.

"Great." Savannah whispered as she pointed.

There was a second HK Track. It didn't look active. Based on where it was, it seemed it could be operational. Maybe it was just on 'guard duty'. It would be active in a second if it was.

Cammy was sure they were on to something.

"They must have activated the HK Tracks to protect the budding Skynet here." Cammy whispered.

They moved around the side of the interior of the building. There was a black cargo van parked inside the rear door. It faced out ready to roll. They would need it to put all the bodies in from the three locations. There was one HK drone in there as well.

Savannah was aware there were four pieces of HK equipment at the other two locations. So far at the location where they were, they'd only spotted three. She wondered where they were at, if there were any more.

"Shouldn't there be more HK equipment?" Savannah whispered. "There are only three pieces here."

Cammy ran the calculations on two boxcars and the equipment they'd uncovered so far.

"There is usually an HK Tread in the group of two boxcars." Cammy whispered.

They heard the clanking start to get louder.

"The HK Track is coming back." Savannah whispered.

Cammy wanted to get behind it and stick the shocker on it so she could disable it.

"Wait here." Cammy whispered. "I'll be back."

Savannah was going to protest but Cammy was already gone.

Cammy moved back the way they'd come through the room with two doors. She wanted to get in back of the HK Track before it returned to the workroom area.

Savannah watched what Cammy was up to and moved to cover the other HK Track and HK drone. They both still appeared inactive. She could jam her Taser into one of the joints and fire it to knock out either one of them if they started to power up. She'd done it before.

She was worried the second HK Track was just doing sentry duty right now and it could be active in a second. She passed in back of what must be the 'clean room'. Once they'd disabled the active HK equipment, they could go in there and get a better look.

Cammy listened and heard the HK Track was past the door for her to go out into the hall. She carefully opened the door. It opened into the room. She saw the HK Track was about twelve feet down the hall. She looked back the other way to make sure it was clear. Nothing was spotted. Richard and Michael were on their way over. She hadn't received notification they'd arrived yet.

At the other two locations, the buildings and HK equipment in them were secured. The buildings would be searched and anything of relevance or value would be taken back with the captured equipment.

Larry and Hank were on their way with two big rigs. It appeared they would need a third big rig for whatever was in the building Cammy and Savannah were in.

Richard and Michael pulled up in front of the building where Cammy and Savannah were at. They exited the vehicle and prepared to enter the building. They paused outside as they heard the clanking of an HK Track moving around inside.

They were a little worried it might come outside since the door wasn't closed tight. The door was too small for it to fit through without tearing the door frame up. They heard the door close. The HK Track must have closed it. The door opened inward, so all the HK Track needed to do was push on it to close it. They could hear it clank off inside.

Richard would have liked to have arrived a minute earlier.

"That's not good." Richard said. "We're locked out."

Michael moved up to the door and tried it. It was locked. He knew they could force it open. Opening the door wasn't the issue. It was the amount of noise it would create to do so.

"We have to be careful how we enter with the HK Track active. Any noise we make, it will come to investigate." Michael said.

They were aware it could 'investigate' with its minigun or fire a rocket at anything it suspected.

They informed John Henry of their current status. He advised them to use extreme caution because Cammy and Savannah were inside.

Cammy made her move to place the shocker on the HK Track. It detected her before she was close enough. It rapidly pivoted and spun around. She dodged off to the side where there was another hallway. She'd slammed into the wall in her haste to get out of the way which made more noise. She expected the minigun to open up and shred the wall between her and the HK Track. It would also shred her.

She ran down the hall and got down on the floor around the corner. The HK Track came around the corner of the hall she'd just run down. She decided she would wait there and when the HK Track came around the second corner, she would stick the shocker on it.

There was only one problem. She didn't have the shocker any longer. She must have dropped it when she made her sudden move and hit the wall.

She would try and evade the HK Track for now. She still carried two Thermite grenades. They would destroy the HK Track, but not instantly. It would take a little bit for the Thermite to do its damage. If she got onto it she could use her Taser.

She communicated a warning to Savannah that the HK Track wasn't disabled and was alerted to a potential attack.

Savannah needed to make a choice. She could either try to disable the second HK Track first or the HK drone.

She received Cammy's warning. It meant the HK Track could be back at any time. She was closest to the HK drone so she decided to disable it first. It would also pose the biggest threat to the entire team if it got outside. She'd disabled one before with both Cameron and Cammy in Cameron's future.

She silently approached it. She received a message from John Henry that their 'back up' was locked out of the building for now. There was a noise up towards the front of the building. The second HK Track started to move. It was now active as well. She was glad she hadn't approached it. It was active and on guard duty as a sentry. It would have detected her most likely. They were usually set to detect humans over other machines.

There was some noise next to her. The HK drone started to power up. She needed to act fast. She could use her Thermite grenade. It would damage the power plants almost immediately and keep it grounded. She'd seen HK drones operate inside a building before. It was very loud and unnerving. There was very little space in this building.

The use of a Thermite grenade would almost certainly bring back the second HK Track to investigate what happened. It would already be on alert.

She moved up on top of the HK drone and went to work. She was able to disable it right before it completed the start up process. She'd been about to draw her Taser and 'zap' it. She gave it a quick double check and went in pursuit of the second HK Track.

The 'clean room' was off to the side as she passed. Whatever was in there was active. It was also far from complete. There were boxes stacked up around it. There were tools scattered around. She thought about using her Thermite grenade on it right now. She decided she didn't want the building on fire with two HK Tracks roaming inside and not know exactly where Cammy was at.

Savannah got some com traffic she could have done without.

"Savannah, I'm about to be trapped." Cammy said. "I lost the shocker in the hall where we went in the room before."

It was time for more bad news.

"The second HK Track just left a few seconds ago. It's headed in your direction." Savannah said.

There was no response.

Cammy needed to get out of the hallway fast. She sent a message to Savannah and received one in return. It was more bad news. Before she could respond, she could hear the second HK Track coming from the other way.

She stayed low to the ground at this point. If the HK Tracks thought they were tracking an active threat, they would use other ways to scan for her. The walls there were just drywall. They wouldn't offer any cover and thermal scans might show her position.

She quickly crawled down to the end of the hall and turned the corner. She rolled under a table as the second HK Track turned the corner. She was able to get behind some boxes stacked up under one end of the table. They appeared to be janitorial supplies. It clanked past her to the corner she'd just come around. It would put it face to face with the other one if it turned the corner.

Something moved past the opening where the HK Track just came from. It was Savannah. It looked like Savannah was headed to where she told her she'd lost the shocker at.

Cammy was going to move from under the table and follow Savannah. The HK Track didn't turn the corner as she'd expected. It may have detected Savannah as she passed in back of it down the main hall. She was about to make a move on it with her Taser.

The second HK Track backed up and the first one came around the corner. The second HK Track was right next to her at this point, with the first HK Track facing the other one now. They were probably communicating. All communications were supposed to be blocked but they still seemed to be communicating somehow, even if it was very limited. Maybe it was because they were only a few feet apart from each other.

Cammy didn't think the one next to her would be able to detect her because she was too close. She was still worried about what the other one might pick up. She needed to remain very still. There was little she could do right now but wait.

Savannah went in pursuit of the second HK Track. She tried to stay low and not make any noise. It went down the main hall and then turned off. Cammy said she'd lost her shocker somewhere. Maybe she could spot it. It should be just up ahead and around the corner.

She moved past the hall the HK Track turned down. It faced away from her as she passed. It was a good thing. She didn't know Cammy was there on the floor under a table right next to it. She moved down the hall to the next opening. It must be the one Cammy referred to that she took. She spotted the shocker on the ground. It hadn't been crushed by the HK Track when it passed by. It was a little good news.

Savannah was unsure where Cammy was at or the first HK Track either. Since she was near the entrance she decided to open the front door and let Michael and Richard in. It was the direction she headed.

The information on the events as they unfolded didn't go over well in the Command Center with John Henry, the Control Center on the ship with Cameron and Jim, or in the Young bunker with Anna and Young Allison.

Michael and Richard each moved around to a different side of the building. They were about to search for another way to enter the building.

Richard's side was all concrete walls.

Michael found something on his side.

"I think we have a new problem." Michael said.

Richard hurried past the front and to the other side of the building.

He spotted what Michael noticed.

"It looks like the building next to us is associated with the target building." Michael said.

There was some kind of a connecting passage. It went from one building to the other building.

The information was relayed to John Henry.

In the Young bunker, they didn't know much from Cammy and Savannah other than they were in some cat and mouse event with two HK Tracks. The news from their back up team didn't help any.

"Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does." Young Allison said.

Anna was very concerned about the new development.

"The new threat needs to be addressed." Anna said.

Savannah indicated she thought there should be more HK equipment. It was probably in the building next door.

"Have Richard and Michael enter the second building and try to neutralize any threats before they end up with Savannah and Cammy." Young Allison said. "Send Steve and Tom to assist Savannah and Cammy. Al can remain in the building he is at and Ed can move to the building Steve and Tom just left. They need to get the HK equipment ready for transport."

Anna thought Young Allison would send all the help to Savannah and Cammy. She didn't.

"It's a wise choice." Anna said.

Young Allison needed to consider everything they'd found so far. She also needed to consider what they hadn't found as well.

"I know there's a bigger picture here." Young Allison said.

Young Allison's main worry was if they were on a timetable. There was no way to know what their actions could trigger. They didn't want to still be in the area if there was a strike or counterattack.

Allison and Vanna both sat next to Cameron in the Control Center on the ship. Sheila was behind them. Holly and Gail-Cam joined them from the Master Suite. They were both still naked. The only one who really seemed to notice was Jim. The girls were all used to seeing each other without clothing.

There wasn't much any of them could do but watch the events play out. At this point, it was actually mostly just to listen as little could be seen.

Savannah opened the front door. She knew Richard and Michael faced a new threat. It was the building next door. There was likely HK equipment in there as well. She didn't want any more active HK Tracks in the building with them. Two was enough. Steve and Tom were on the way over. They should be there soon. She let it be known the front door was unlocked.

She went back to find Cammy.

Cammy waited for the HK Tracks to do something. The one next to her did. It backed up and went back into the hall where Savannah passed by earlier. She expected the other HK Track to go back the way it came. It started to and then it stopped. It took up a position at an angle between the hall she'd come from and the one she was in. It looked like they were trying to lay a trap for her. The main problem was, it Savannah who was the one out there now and she was trapped in there on the floor.

Savannah went to go back out the way she'd come in. She started around the corner when she saw the HK Track back out of the hall she'd passed it in a few seconds ago. She watched it long enough to see it back out and start to pivot to come her way.

There was no clue as to where the first HK Track went. She decided to go the way Cammy must have gone. She hurried down that way and peeked around the corner. The other HK Track was at the end of the hall. It sat at an angle.

She backed up and dropped down to the floor. She expected the minigun to fire. Instead she heard the HK Track start to come her way. She moved to go out the way she'd come in and could hear the second HK Track was almost there. She was 'in a pickle'. She was trapped between two HK Tracks with nowhere to go.

Savannah could hear the one HK Track approach her. It was almost to where she was at. It was time to go on the offensive.

She armed the shocker and made her move. She lunged out as the HK Track started to pivot to make the turn. She made good contact and the HK Track stopped dead in its tracks with a jolt. The recurring charge from the shocker should keep it there for now.

There was a lot of noise from where she'd last spotted the other HK Track. There was something off over there. She still didn't know where Cammy was at.

It sounded like the other HK Track was stuck or something. She could hear the tracks slipping and spinning and what sounded like the walls being crushed.

She hurried back and looked down the hall where it was at before.

The HK Track tried to turn back in the direction from where she saw the second HK Track earlier. It must be going after Cammy. She didn't know why it was stuck and unable to move properly. There was a shower of sparks behind one of the treads. It looked like it might be free of whatever disabled it earlier.

Savannah drew her silenced M9 and fired at the HK Track to get its attention as a new threat. She hoped to give Cammy time to slip away or attack. She saw and heard all the projectiles hit it. It tried to turn back in her direction. She needed to get low and move fast. She was now the target. She expected the minigun to open up at any second. She needed better cover fast.

Moments ago:

Cammy was down on the floor under a table. She was out of direct sight of the HK Track. She looked around her and noticed there were boxes with supplies. There was a five gallon bucket of liquid soap. She pried the top off. The HK Track started to pivot to go back the way it came. Cammy knew Savannah was about to get caught in the trap the two HK Tracks set.

She flung the open container of liquid soap in front of the HK Track. It crushed it and the slimy soap was all over the ground around and under it. The tracks started to spin. Because she'd moved, the HK Track now tried to turn in her direction. There was a new closer threat near it. The tracks spun wildly and the HK Track slid into the wall. It allowed it to get some more traction until it went into the slippery liquid again. Cammy got up off of the floor with her Taser ready to fire. She would need to make physical contact with the HK Track to get the barbs to stick in a joint or connection. The HK Track caught the wall again and continued its turn towards her. She didn't think she was going to make it before it opened up on her.

Much to her surprise, projectiles began to strike it. The HK Track perceived a new and bigger threat and pivoted back in the other direction. She continued her forward travel and pounced on the HK Track. She fired her Taser and the first shot deflected off of the metal. Only one barb stuck in the joint. It looked like the minigun was about to fire at the location where Savannah was at.

Cammy dropped the Taser and brought both of her balled fists down hard on the barrels as they began to rotate. She crushed the top two barrels and jammed the mechanism. The minigun was inoperable right now. There was no way to know if it would try and fire a missile next or not. She was the threat now and she was on it. She looked down for her Taser and saw the wildly spinning tracks had crushed it. She reached for the access hatch as the HK Track got some more traction and lunged forward. It slammed into the other wall. The impact caused her to be knocked off of it. The HK Track would be able to run her down now. She didn't want to be crushed. It would severely damage her sheath and chassis.

Things didn't look good for Cammy.

Female Fanatic watched as the boss walked directly towards one of the crates she was between. She pulled out her Beretta. Maybe things were going to play out a little differently than she'd anticipated previously.

"I want both of these crates loaded on one of the trucks as well." The boss said.

The boss moved away from where she was at.

She watched him pass directly in front of her. She was crouched down with a Beretta held up in front of her. If he would have looked in her direction, she would have fired. She backed up a little bit. She needed to get out between the crates and away from the forklift behind her before someone went to get on it. She held her Beretta pointed in front of her. When she reached the rear of the crate, she looked back on both sides of it. There was no one there yet. She moved behind the first crate. She could see several men were off to the side with the boss. They would be out of view in a few seconds. The other men looked at the HK Tracks. She quickly moved behind the forklift.

There were a couple of storage racks which ran along in back of her. It appeared they ended by where the restrooms were. She took one more look at the men moving around on the workroom floor. She could hear other roll up doors being opened on the building, as well as the back of trucks. She didn't think she was going to be able to get out any of the doors which exited onto the dock.

There was no one in the room where the boss came out of before with the phone in his hand. She didn't think anyone was in the restroom. She wasn't going in to find out either. It seemed like now would be a good time to take a look around at what was going on in the front part of the building.

She peered around the corner of the last storage rack. There was a flurry of activity with the men moving around. Both of the forklifts were in motion. So far, only one of the HK Tracks was gone. She'd heard the boss warn the men not to damage them at all. He reminded them if any of them were damaged, they would need to answer to 'The Man'. It indicated a Terminator to her. She didn't believe the Terminator was present. It would probably be out on the workroom floor if it was.

There was some trouble with one of the roll up doors on the building. It seemed to draw the attention of all of the men not actively moving a piece of equipment. She made her dash for the door into the office area. She opened it and quickly looked inside. She slipped through when she didn't see anyone. Before the door closed, she looked back to see if anyone had noticed her. It didn't appear so. There was no alarm raised. There was no one shouting or yelling.

She was in a hallway. The first door on the right led to an office which faced out onto the workroom area. There were a number of computers located in there. Most of them were off.

Some of the rooms were for storage. There was a break room area which obviously served as their commissary. There were several microwaves as well as several hot plates. She did notice the trashcan wasn't overflowing as it normally was in most of the locations. She was sure it was probably because 'The Man' made regular visits. The other office rooms appeared to be converted into sleeping quarters. There were a number of makeshift bunks, along with a few actual beds in three of the rooms.

It was what she found in the last room which disgusted her. It was the room with the 'comfort bunk' in it. There was a nude female tied to it. She could hear her sobbing when she opened the door. She didn't approach her yet. She wanted to find out what was going on, on the workroom floor. Currently there was no one else in the office area.

She made her way quickly back down the hallway. She looked at the location of the lobby area. There was a large metal door which let out the front. It was secured with two barricade bars and padlocked closed. She didn't think she'd be going out that way unless she blasted her way out. She still carried the two bombs. It was still an option, even if it wasn't among the top choices. She went into the office with the window which looked out over the workroom area. The men were all still busy.

It was time to check on the condition of the female and see if there was any way to move her. She was aware at the other location, one group of men decided to take the female there with them when they'd left. More than likely the same thing would happen here. She was halfway down the hallway when she heard the door from the workroom area start to open.

"Damn." The female Fanatic said.

It forced her to duck into the closest room. It was a storage room. She was glad it wasn't one of the rooms being used as a dormitory. She didn't close the door tight so she could see what was happening. She could hear someone coming.

"While all those morons are working, I'm going to get me a little extra." The man muttered to himself.

She backed away from the opening as the man passed by. She opened the door a little more and looked out. She could see him head straight for the room with the 'comfort bunk'. As soon as he opened the door to enter, she decided to make her move. She looked back down the hall towards the work room area. There was no one else there.

She watched the man's body go completely into the room. She ran silently towards the door. She wanted to catch it before it closed all the way. Right as she reached it, she was able to stop it from latching. She wanted to make her approach silently if she could. She could hear the man talking inside.

"Hey, cupcake, I'm back." The man said. "Did you miss me?"

She could hear him and laugh. The laugh sounded evil.

She peeked inside. She could see the female moving her head back and forth. It was the universal gesture for 'no'. She watched as the man's pants dropped down to his ankles. It disgusted her to watch what was about to happen. She knew it must have already been dozens of times for the female. It may have even been hundreds. There were approximately ten men there from her best estimates.

There was a 'slap' noise.

"Stop moving your head around or I'll give you a reason to move it around." The man said. "Maybe I'll take one of your ears off. Maybe I'll take something else off a little lower."

The female stopped moving.

"That's better." The man said. "Let's get started."

She took one more look back towards the hallway. There was no one else spotted. She soundlessly entered the room. The man's back was to her. She didn't like what he said he was going to do to the female. She could see he was fumbling around.

The man was a little irritated at the female. He figured she should have been 'broken in' by now and acclimated to her new life, even if it was going to be a short one. He was ready and wanted to get started. He was having a little trouble getting lined up. He saw the female's eyes widen. He didn't even know someone could open their eyes so wide. He realized she wasn't looking at him. She was looking beyond him. He started to turn around as he began to sense danger. He was about five seconds too late to make a difference. His world went black.

Moments ago:

The female Fanatic rapidly moved up on the man. She was originally going to stab him. She saw something else when she'd looked in the door earlier. She noticed a baseball bat as well as a ball and several gloves. She quickly put her knife away and grabbed the baseball bat. She moved up behind the man and hit him as hard as she could on the back of the head. There was a very loud 'crack' sound. He dropped like a rock on top of the female.

CamNet's Terminators headed for the business owner's residence. They would need to stop by a Syndicate controlled operation afterwards.

They stopped a block away from the owner's house. It wasn't too fancy of a neighborhood. It was a nice neighborhood. It didn't have a guarded gate system or anything to hinder their entry. They move silently down the street. They stopped on the sidewalk and looked up at the number on the house. They conversed at a low decibel level.

"We're here." Lena said.

Tina nodded.

"Follow me". Tina said.

They could see there were a few lights on in the house. They weren't on in the front part of it. There was a little sign stuck in the front lawn next to the house which said the residence was protected by a local alarm company. They notified CamNet. After a few seconds, she told them the alarm wasn't armed.

They moved up to the front door and listened. They could hear the sounds of someone moving around. It wasn't the only thing they could hear. It appeared the man had a guest. They weren't sure if the guest was actually a guest or some type of detainee.

From the records they'd taken from the casino, they knew the business owner liked various types of deviant behavior. It seemed to be what they heard going on inside. It was the deviant behavior which got him in trouble in the first place. He'd been 'found' in the morning by the maid after a night of heavy gambling and drinking in bed with a nude female. She was deceased. There was a pillowcase tied around her neck. It was the hook the Syndicate used to control the man. It was standard operating procedure for them. The Skynet group took over from there.

CamNet's Terminators opened the front door and entered. No alarm sounded. They did a quick search of the house. It appeared only the man and his 'partner' were in the master bedroom. They looked at each other as they entered. It wasn't what they'd expected to find.
