Dragon Riders

Note: Alright here we are the first battle with the dragon riders. For those of you who may be wondering where I got the idea for this story, this story is the result of going to bed after reading Eragon, playing Grand Theft Auto San Anreas and Drackengard, and watching Dragon Tales. Ok enough talking from me lets get onto the story. The gang has arrived in the human world but has little time to enjoy it now. They must rush to the bank and confront the bank robbers and save Emmy, but they hardly think the situation through so naturally something goes wrong.
Pre Chapter: Dragon Rider Stats
I originally thought up of this as a video game so I gave each character specific roles and powers I'm going to explain the powers of each dragon rider right now in video game stats style for those of you who don't care just scroll down.

Description: Cassie and Emmy are speed attackers. Cassie attacks with rapid machine gun like energy blasts that are weak but can strike very quickly and are very hard to doge. Emmy strikes with rapid, swift, and graceful sword attacks that can take an average unarmored opponent down very quickly. Both styles of attack leave little chance to counter attack and a very hard to doge and are especially damaging at close range. All their attacks are very weak and rely on quantity over quality so they cannot take down a heavily armored target (Military grade body armor, any car bigger than a SUV or minivan, and most walls). Also Cassie's scales and Emmy's sword can't block heavy attacks like high power guns, shotguns, or explosions very well and can hurt them a lot. They are very good at taking down a lot of lighter enemies at close range and are the best choice when dealing with machine guns since they are fast enough to doge most of the bullets easily and can easily block them. When they face more powerful enemies they rely on their brains to come up with ways of bringing down what ever stands in their way.

Description: Since Zak and Wheezie share a body and they have two different styles of fighting they rely heavily upon their teamwork to win against their enemies. Whezzie is like Cassie she's fast and agile enough to attack a lot of enemies at close rage very quickly but lacks the power needed to bring down larger enemies. Her dragon breath attack is like a homing missile; she can fire out multiple purple energy boomerangs at a descent rate of fire, these boomerangs home in on her enemies and chase them down and won't stop until they hit their target causing moderate damage. Wheezie needs to be up close for the boomerangs to lock onto enemies so she likes to fight up close and with her melee skills that's no problem for her. Zak is more along the lines of Ord; big, slow, and powerful. Zak moves slower than Wheezie because he is afraid of speed and is always cautious so he isn't the fastest of the group. He lacks good melee skills since he is afraid of up close fights where he can be hurt so he mostly relies on Wheezie to handle enemies up close. When he does get into a close up fight his attacks a slow but strong and precise so he can take down most enemies in one hit by hitting their weak points. His dragon breath is a long thin beam of green energy that is very powerful despite its small size it also has unbelievable range but takes a while to charge up so it is only good for taking down single enemies. Zak likes to fight from a far range sniping with his dragon breath so that no one knows he's there so he can avoid fights and therefore avoid pain. Enrique is special in that he can switch in between styles, he can change between Wheezie's style; fast, weak, and perfect for many targets or Zak's style; slow, precise, powerful, and good for single big targets on the fly so he can handle almost any kind of enemy but in large numbers he still is in trouble.

Description: Max and Ord have very strong attacks compared to everyone else and are very well armored so they can take a lot of damage before they even have to worry getting hit by attacks. Thanks to Ord's huge size and Max's massive blade their close range attacks are very powerful and with their close range skills they can take down whatever gets in their way easily. But their power comes at a cost both are very slow compared to the others so keeping up with fast enemies (small fast aircraft and high powered sports cars) can be a problem. However their high defense makes up for their slow speed by allowing them to withstand most attacks easily so they don't have to doge them. Also with their high strength they can take down heavily armored targets (SUVs, military vehicles, Semis, reinforced walls, and even some tanks) without too much problem. Because of their slow speed they can only attack one enemy at a time but when they attack unless the enemy is super powerful that enemy won't be standing long. Ord's dragon breath attack is a blue energy blast that flies forward and explodes on impact severely damaging if not beating all enemies in the blast radius. Max and Ord are like the tanks of the group when they need heavy armor and explosive destruction Max and Ord are the perfect choice
Wow maybe I should make video games anyway with that out of the way let's get onto the story
Chapter 6: Bank Battle
Cassie and Ord came through the portal into airspace above the city the sun was just starting to set
All of them felt really sick after they went through the portal
"Uggg I don't feel so good" said Cassie holding her stomach
"Me too" said Ord covering his mouth like he was going to throw up
"I guess the trip makes you a little sick the first time" said Max in a half moan clutching his stomach
"Yeah I'm having a hard time staying up I hope Zak and Wheezie are alright" said Ord shacking off his sickness so he could fly right
Just then Zak, Wheezie, and Enrique came flying past them doing a uncontrolled barrel roll straight toward the ground Zak screaming all the way down
"WE'RE GONA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
WE'RE GONA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
FIRST I'M GOING TO THROW UP!
AND THEN I'M GONA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
MOMMY MAKE IT STOP!" Zak screamed as they plummeted toward the ground (Ten points to whoever figures out where this quote is from)
Wheezie managed to regain her senses just in time to pull them out of the fall but Zak continued screaming until Wheezie closed his mouth with her hand
"See that wasn't too bad there's nothing too bad here" said Wheezie
Just then a helicopter came flying only inches above their heads nearly decapitating them
Zak gave Wheezie an "I told you so" look
Wheezie just gave a weak laugh
"Are you guys ok?" asked Cassie flying down towards them with Ord and Max following close behind
"We're fine, dizzy and sick but fine" said Enrique
"Were are we?" asked Zak
All of them looked down
"WOW!" said Cassie in amazement at the human world city
They saw huge buildings as tall as or taller than Mungus's castle all over the place
They were mostly gray and had a lot of windows some of them even looked like they were made out of glass and all of them were square
"Wow I didn't know you had giants in your world too!" said Ord amazed at the huge buildings
"They must be really thin and tall to fit in those things" said Wheezie noting the buildings were taller than they were wide
"Those aren't giant houses they're called sky scrapers" said Max with a slight laugh
"You want to hurt the sky?" asked Ord confused at the idea
"No, they are really tall buildings that have a lot of people in them and when you look at them from the ground they look like they touch the sky" explained Enrique
"You have that many people here!" said Cassie amazed their could be that many people in one place
"Yeah there's a lot more people than there are dragons" said Max
"Do you have any dragons in this world?" asked Ord
"No, well at least none that I've heard of" said Max
"What's that smell?" asked Zak in disgust holding his nose
"Yeah it stinks" said Cassie holding her nose too
"Yuck!" said Ord noticing the smell as well
Max and Enrique sniffed but could find no unusual smell
"I don't smell anything" said Max
"What's it smell like?" asked Enrique
"It smells like a fire" said Zak
"Oh yeah we forgot to mention that human world air smells different from dragon land air" said Max
"Why's that?" asked Wheezie
"It's called air po….po….polut…" Max struggled with the last word
"Air pollution Max" said Enrique
"Yeah Air pollution" said Max
"What's that mean?" asked Zak
"It means the air here is dirty" said Enrique
"Dirty! The air here is dirty? Well then someone should clean it up it stinks" said Zak
"We're going to have to get used to it we have to go to the bank and get Emmy" said Cassie urgently
"Yeah let's go" said Max
"Where is the bank?" asked Ord
"I know where it is everyone follow me" said Enrique as he guided Zak and Wheezie to the bank
Later in airspace above bank
Following Enrique's directions they quickly got to the bank
Thanks to the dragon's new wings they could fly much faster than usual but since Cassie was still normal they had to wait for her to catch up
When they arrived it was just getting dark
They flew down and landed on a rooftop across from the bank and looked over the situation
There was a small army of police positioned outside the bank; they had created a barrier of police cars in the street around the bank entrance all the flashing lights illuminating the city street with blue and red
The police had set up a tent down the road that acted as a command center cops and other people kept rushing in and out of the tent constantly
Max could see his parents going in the tent looking very scared his mom in tears and his dad was trying to comfort her
Their where police officers everywhere some in normal uniforms others in full body armor a lot of them had their guns all pointed at the bank entrance
There were a lot of news vans on the ground and they could all see the reporters talking about what was going on
One man was reporting close enough for them to hear what he was saying
"Hello I'm Hugh Jazz for channel two news and I'm currently in front of the Main City Bank which is at this time being held under siege by as many as 34 heavily armed bank robbers which are thought to be part of a notorious group of bank robbers that has hit banks across the state. Police say that as many as twelve people are being held hostage inside the bank one of which is a six year old girl named Emily or "Emmy" who is being held somewhere in the bank by the group's leader who has already killed four people in other robberies throughout the state. The man is demanding a helicopter, military grade weapons, and $500,000 dollars in one hour or else he will kill little Emily and for each hour after that they will kill one more hostage. Police are currently not saying anything about the demands and it appears as though negotiations have stopped, at this point all we can do at this point is pray for Emily's safe return and a peaceful solution to this crisis. I'm Hugh Jazz reporting live at the Main City Bank now back to Seymour Butts and I.P Freely in the studio."
Max turned around and sat on the ground thinking about what to do
"How can we find Emmy in the bank with all those bad guys in there?" he asked out loud
"How about we just rush in and beat all the bad guys, then finding Emmy will be no problem" suggested Wheezie
"I don't know that sounds like a bad idea" said Cassie worriedly
"I don't like it either, it sounds like a bad plan and I don't want to fight" said Zak
"We don't have time for this" said Max looking at a clock that was above the bank entrance showing the current time
"We only have one hour probably less, we have to get in there now" said Max urgently
"Shouldn't we think this through more?" asked Enrique
"Emmy is running out of time we can't wait" said Max fiercely
"Let's do it!" yelled Whezzie
"Wait a second guys what if someone recognizes you?" asked Cassie
"Yeah if we just go in there someone will see who we are" said Enrique
"Yeah and then we'll have no secret identities" said Max realizing the problem
"Maybe our costumes can help" suggested Enrique
"Yeah lets try putting on our hoods maybe they can hide our faces" said Max putting his hood up
Enrique did the same
"How do I look?" asked Max turning to Ord
"Wow I can't see your face!" said Ord looking into the hood and seeing only black
"They keep our faces from showing with some short of magic" said Enrique as Zak and Wheezie looked into his face and saw only black
"Ok now with our disguises we can go" said Max
"Ok, we'll go inside while Cassie stays outside" said Enrique
"But I want to help!" said Cassie
"It's too dangerous Cassie, you're not a dragon rider yet so you could be hurt" said Ord
"Don't worry Cassie, we'll make sure Emmy is safe" said Wheezie optimistically
"Ok" said Cassie in a worried tone
"Alright guys lets go" said Max getting on Ord
All of them took off and flew up in the air and hovered over the bank
Thankfully no one was looking up since it looked like all the action was on the ground so they weren't noticed
"How are we getting in?" asked Ord
"Maybe we can use our dragon breath to cut a hole in the roof and drop in on them from above" suggested Wheezie
"How do we do that? Our dragon breath isn't strong enough to cut that!" said Zak
"Maybe your dragon breath got stronger; Ord how about you try it?" suggested Max
"Ok" Ord said uncertain he should try it
He aimed down at the roof of the bank and opened his mouth to fire some dragon breath
A blue ball of energy formed in Ord's mouth it stayed there for a few second before it shot downward with enough recoil to make Ord do a midair back flip
The ball of energy hit the roof of the bank and caused a huge explosion creating a big hole right into the bank lobby and dazing everybody in the bank
"WOW!" said Max at the destruction his very gentle friend had caused
"What do we do now?" asked Enrique
"CHARGE!" yelled Wheezie flying downward at high speed toward the bank's lobby
"EASY WHEEZIE!" yelled Zak as they flew downward
In The Bank Lobby
The robbers had just gotten to their feet after a huge explosion blasted a hole in the roof and knocked everyone in the bank down
"They're raiding the place!" yelled one robber expecting a SWAT team to come repelling into the bank at any second
What he saw was a lot scarier
Ord, Zak, and Wheezie fell through the hole in the roof to the lobby floor below
They landed on their feet very hard and made a loud thump even though the floor was carpeted
To humans who had never seen a dragon before even ones as friendly as Ord, Zak, and Whezzie they looked terrifying
The robbers looked and saw a large blue reptilian creature and a slightly smaller green and purple one with two heads come crashing through the hole in the ceiling and land hard on the lobby floor and considering how dark the bank lobby was the sight was extremely frightening
Everyone in the bank just stood still for a second
It seemed like time had stopped and everything was dead silent
The robbers readied their guns while the other hostages who had taken cover behind some desks near the front of the bank just stood looking at the dragons in awe
The silence man the entire bank very tense
Until one man yelled out
"WHAT IS THAT!" he yelled out in horror
Just then Max dismounted Ord and walked in front of him
Enrique did the same
The robbers where surprised to see two small cloaked figures dismount the reptilian creatures
"Who…Who are you?" asked one of the robbers
Max took out his sword and pointed it at the robber who asked that question
"We are here to stop you" Max said bravely and heroically
"Yeah now give up quietly and let these people go or else!" said Enrique taking out his swords
The robbers looked at the cloaked figures with great fear and hesitation
Normally one would not be afraid of something so small but with large monsters behind them and with swords that looked very strange they definitely looked a lot tougher
"What…What do we do boss!" one robber asked in a fearful tone to the gangs second in command
The man hesitated a second
"Um…um…Fi…FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!" he yelled out in panic
Immediately the rest of the robbers opened fire with their guns
"AHHHHHHHH" Zak screamed and closed his eyes preparing to die
Wheezie on the other hand jumped out of the way saving both of them
Enrique saw them coming and somehow, without thinking he took both his swords and spun them around fast enough to stop all the bullets
Unfortunately Max wasn't as fast and couldn't draw his sword in time
Ord saw this and quickly stood in front of Max in the path of the bullets
Zak and Wheezie screamed
Every single bullet hit Ord and just bounced off his scales leaving him untouched
Ord looked down at himself amazed
Everyone else looked as well and saw Ord was completely untouched despite taking half a clip from 33 guns
"What the…" asked one of the robbers not believing his eyes
"Did that hurt?" asked Max
Ord just shook his head no
"Quetzal did say they had hard scales" said Enrique
"So it means the dragons are safe" said Max
"Yeah and we can just block them with our swords" said Enrique
"So I guess that means we don't have to worry about being hurt" said Enrique
"Alright then lets do this" said Max with a confident glint in his eye
"Fire! Fire again!" the commander yelled out in panic
They all opened fire with their guns again
This time the dragons, Max, and Enrique were ready
Max raised up his big sword and used it like a shield and stopped all the bullets easily
Enrique spun his swords around at high speed to stop the bullets
Ord, Zak, and Wheezie just stood there and let the bullets hit them
As with Ord the bullets hit Zak and Wheezie's scales and were stopped, then they just clattered to the floor
During a brief reload time Max got up and got his sword ready
"Now it's our turn" he said before he and the rest of the group charged forward
Max ran forward and jumped into the air
He then brought his blade down right upon a robber while he was reloading
The robber was slammed into the ground by the blade and was knocked unconscious
Zak and Wheezie ran forward and flew into the air
"Let's see what I can do" said Wheezie charging up her dragon breath
A purple energy boomerang formed in her mouth
She looked down and saw three robbers still reloading and focused on them
She then fired her dragon breath
The purple boomerang flew down and hit a robber sending him flying backwards
Two more boomerangs quickly followed and sent the other two flying backwards as well
Enrique ran forward and slashed at two robbers at high speeds
The two fell backwards knocked out but still alive
Ord ran forward but since he was the slowest the robbers had reloaded by the time he got there
They fired uselessly at Ord as he charged
Ord then spun around and knocked out five at once with a tail whip
(1+3+2+5 equals 11 sorry but I have to keep track of them all, Wow on the first charge they took out one third of the enemies, this fight ain't gona last long I better save some for Emmy speaking of which…)
Outside The Bank
Cassie had watched her friends enter the bank and had landed on the bank's roof
She could hear alloy of noise down in the bank including a lot of strange popping sounds she didn't recognize
"Oh I hope they're alright" she said sadly regretting she couldn't help them
Just then Cassie felt her hand tingle
"What the….? Is it Emmy?" she asked looking around
She could feel Emmy, she was around here somewhere
She began walking along the roof looking for Emmy
She could sense that Emmy was toward the back of the bank and she was scared
"Don't worry Emmy I'm coming" Cassie said determinedly
In The Manager's Office
The lead robber had taken Emmy to the back of the bank
He dragged her by the hand into the empty manager's office
He then tied her to a chair with some rope and sat down exhaustedly in the plush green chair behind the manager's desk
Emmy struggled with the ropes but could not break free
After two more tries she gave up and looked around the office
The room was covered in dark green patterned wallpaper, the floor was covered with a carpet of the same color, the room had no windows except a skylight in the ceiling, their was little furniture except for the desk the lead robber was now sitting at resting his head on his arms and desperately thinking about what to do
The man did not plan on going to jail; he would fight until the very end and if necessary take the girl down with him
The man looked up at Emmy with an insane happy look in his eye
He took off his mask to reveal that he was a white middle age guy with short blonde hair
"What's your name?" he asked Emmy sounding delusional and psychotic
"Emily but my friends call me Emmy" said Emmy in an angry tone
The man chuckled
"Ha! Friends? Who needs them, all they do is get in the way and as soon as you think they will always have your back they double cross you" the man said
"That's not true!" yelled Emmy
The man ignored her
"I once had a friend; he always helped me out with everything, we had some great times, the best times of my life. I thought we would be friends forever; but then one day I stole something from a store and he ratted me out" the man said angrily
"So the next day when I met up with him in a back ally he tried to apologize saying "It was the right thing to do" guess what I did to him?" the man asked tauntingly
"What?" asked Emmy sounding horrified
"I took a broken beer bottle on the ground and stabbed him in the heart" he said sounding sickly happy
Emmy's face went completely white and she just had a look of utter horror on her face
"I was only ten when I killed for the first time, the police never caught me then and they won't take me alive now" he said getting up and grabbing his gun
On The Roof
Cassie had walked to the back portion of the bank's roof when she felt Emmy really strongly
She looked around and saw a glass pyramid sticking up out of the roof
She ran over and looked into the room below
She saw Emmy tied to a chair looking very scared and a man with a long wood and metal stick (AK-47) walking towards Emmy
Cassie could tell he was going to hurt her
"What do I do?" Cassie asked herself
The man walked in front of Emmy and pointed the gun at her
"Oh no what do I do?" she said in panic
She then got an idea
"This may be dangerous but I gotta do it" she said
She then flew up into the air
In The Office
The man had grabbed his gun and walked in front of Emmy and now pointed the gun directly at her face
"I still going to have a better life than you" he said hysterically
Emmy just looked at the gun in fear getting ready to die
"I may have killed someone at age ten but you won't even get to live that long" he said prepping the gun
Emmy looked at the barrel of the gun and thought about her friends
She thought about all their adventures in dragon land, about all the friends they had made there, and all the people they had helped
She thought about how dragons would react and how Max and Enrique would react; she knew they would be really sad
Especially Cassie
Emmy closed her eyes
'Good bye Cassie' was Emmy's last thought a single tear dripping down her face
Just then she heard a shattering sound and then a bang
With Cassie
Cassie had flow up into the air and then dropped feet first into through the window and landed right on top of the man with the gun
The impact had knocked the man out
Cassie was amazingly fine despite just falling through a glass window
Cassie got up groggily and looked to see Emmy with her eyes shut tied to the chair
"Emmy?" said Cassie weakly
Emmy opened her eyes to see her small pink dragon friend standing before her
Emmy thought she was seeing things
"Cassie!" asked Emmy in disbelief
"EMMY!" yelled Cassie happily running forward and hugging Emmy as best she could
"CASSIE!" yelled Emmy happily unable to hug back because she was tied up
"How did you get here?" Emmy asked as Cassie stopped hugging her untied her
"We used the power of the dragon riders" said Cassie as Emmy got out of the chair
"What?" asked Emmy in shock
"Wait you mean…..?"
"Yes" said Cassie answering Emmy's question before she could finish asking it
"You shouldn't have done it you could get in trouble or worse you could have gotten killed!" said Emmy
"We didn't care so long as we could save you" said Cassie hugging Emmy again
Emmy looked down at her dragon friend in amazement
'She risked getting killed to save me' Emmy thought in amazement
'I can't believe it she... she did all this to save me?' tears began to come down Emmy's face as she thought about how lucky she was to have Cassie and the rest of her friends
Emmy hugged Cassie back
"I'm so glad to see you!" Emmy said happily with tears in her eyes finally letting her relief show
The two just stood their hugging and crying for while until Cassie let go
"Come on the others are waiting for us" said Cassie wiping her tears off
"The others? They're here? Where?" asked Emmy
"They're in the front fighting the bad guys" said Cassie
"What? They're fighting? How?" asked Emmy unable to imagine the dragons or Max and Enrique fighting anything let alone heavily armed criminals
"They transformed into dragon riders to get us here" explained Cassie
"They got super powers when they became dragon riders" said Cassie
"Super powers?" asked Emmy in disbelief
"Yeah, Ord blew a hole in the roof" said Cassie
"That's what that explosion was earlier?" said Emmy shocked
"Yeah it looked like they were winning last time I looked, but I think they need our help" said Cassie
"Wait you mean…..?"
"Yes" said Cassie knowing what Emmy was going to ask next
"Are you scared?" asked Cassie sounding a little scared herself
"No, so long as we're together we'll be fine" said Emmy with a smile
"Right!" said Cassie with a severe look of determination on her face
They both put their hands together
"Let's do this" said Emmy confidently……
In The Bank Lobby
The battle in the lobby was still going on
The robbers had now taken shelter behind desks that were scattered around the lobby and some had taken shelter in the teller's cages
Max, Enrique, and the dragons kept fighting but they were having trouble getting to the robbers with cover because they were too busy dealing with the bullets to get close enough to attack
Enrique, Zak and Wheezie
"This is bad!" said Zak as Wheezie fired two shots at a man firing from behind a desk that was tipped over
"UGH! I can't get a good shot" said Wheezie frustrated as her attacks flew over the guy's head and hit the wall
As Wheezie fired a few more shots a man in one of the cages off to the right of them next to the wall began to aim his weapon at Zak and Wheezie who were out in the open
Zak saw this but Wheezie was too busy with the guy in front of them to notice
Suddenly everything seemed to slow down to Zak
Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion to him
His eyes focused on the man aiming at them
His vision seemed to "zoom in" on the man
He could see the man so close it was like he was wearing binoculars
He suddenly, without thinking fired his dragon breath
A long, thing, green energy beam flew out of Zak's mouth and flew across the room right at the man
It hit him right in the face before the man could fire a single shot
The man fell to the floor of the cage unconscious
Then Zak; without even blinking, turned to face the man Wheezie was having trouble with
He zoomed in on the man as the man was reloading and fired another shot that hit the man right in the head as well
He too fell to the ground unconscious
"Whoa! Nice shooting thare partner" said Wheezie in a western accent amazed at what Zak had just did
"Yeah I guess it was" said Zak just realizing what he had done
"How about I handle all the close bad guys and you handle all the far ones" suggested Wheezie
"Ok, now let's show these guys why two heads are better than one" said Zak in an unusually confident and brave tone
Meanwhile Enrique was busy with some robbers who were stupid enough to stay out in the open
Three men were busy shooting at him
Enrique dodged out of the way with some amazing acrobatics using Wheezie's style
Then he ran forward at high speed and used his swords to knock out the men with some fancy swordplay
After the three men fell a fourth came out in front of him with a teenage girl who had been taken hostage earlier
He was holding onto the girl and had his gun pointed at her head
"Put you're weapon down or else the girl gets it" the man said motioning towards Enrique with his gun
Enrique took the opportunity the man had presented by moving the barrel of the gun away from the girl's head
He switched to Zak's style and took aim at the gunman's gun and threw his green sword at the man's gun
The sword flew forward and hit the man's gun slicing it in half
Enrique then switched to Wheezie's style and ran forward at high speed
He quickly struck the man in the head with his purple sword
The man collapsed to the ground
Enrique grabbed the green sword in midair and then turned around and walked over to the girl
"Are you ok?" he asked the very shaken girl being as calm as he could despite the fact that there was still fighting and shooting going on around them
She shook her head yes
"Ok good, now get all the rest of the people in here to the front of the bank and take cover there" he told the girl who, without saying a word went to get everyone to the front of the bank lobby
Max and Ord
Meanwhile Max and Ord where busy fighting another group of gunmen hiding behind some desks as well
The gunmen had Max and Ord pinned down behind a desk
"What do we do we can't get close to them when they're shooting at us" said Ord
"I got an idea Ord, think you can handle getting hit for a while?" asked Max
"I think so, but after a while it starts to hurt" said Ord uncertainly
"How long do I have to get hit for?" asked Ord
"Just walk toward them until you're halfway to the desks, I'll handle the rest" said Max
"Ok I think I can do it" said Ord
"Ok then on three" said Max as he and Ord got ready for a charge
"1….2……3!" counted Max
He and Ord both charged, Ord running in front of Max to act as a shield
The bullets hit Ord but bounced off his scales however it was beginning to hurt him
When they were half way there Max ran forward and used Ord's back like a ramp and jumped high into the air
He flew right over the gunmen's position
He landed just behind them and then, before any of the robbers could react he took out two of the robbers with his sword with one horizontal blow to the head
This startled the robbers enough to give Ord the chance to approach and hop over the desks
He then used another mighty tail swing to take out two more robbers
Ord then took out the last robber there with a punch so powerful it sent the robber flying through the air, across the lobby, and into a wall
Ord and Max just looked at the robber in amazement as he fell to the floor
"Whoa" said Max looking at Ord
"Guess I don't know my own strength" said Ord looking at his hands, surprised he had become so strong
"Retreat!" a man yelled signaling for the others to move to back part of the bank away form the entrance and the dragon riders
The remaining robbers went to the back of the bank and took up positions there
Max, Enrique, and The dragons lined up near the front of the bank
It was a stand off
"Just give up, you're not getting out of here and you're not going to hurt anyone else" said Max trying to reason with the crooks again but it was to no avail
"We're not giving up, we're getting out of here free men and we'll kill whoever gets in our way" said the second in command
"You can't beat us, now tell us where that little girl is!" said Enrique
"Ha! We don't have the girl the boss does and he is in the back with her right now, but it's probably too late for her the plan was the second he hears any action in here he kills the girl" the second in command said evilly
Max, Enrique, and the dragons gasped and all of them looked horrified
"No" said Max weakly
'No! It can't be true we didn't come all this way just for Emmy to be killed because of us' Max thought thinking he may have just killed his sister with his stupid plan
Just then he felt something, it felt very familiar yet strange, it was like something was in the air something… electric, it was like their was a strange energy around him but he wasn't sure where it was coming from
Then just as suddenly it stopped
Max could tell by the way Enrique flinched right next to him he felt it too, the dragons also must have felt it since they now looked around the room trying to see where the energy surge had come from
Max could sense it had come from the back of the bank somewhere but he wasn't sure where though
The robber continued talking not feeling the energy and not noticing that Max, Enrique and The dragons now looked distracted
"And as for how we are going to beat you I got just the thing" the man said a foreboding tone in his voice
Then two robbers went to the back of the bank and pulled out a long metal tube with a lava lamp shaped tip (RPG!)
They brought the weapon up to the man who quickly grabbed it and pointed it right at Max and his group
"What is that!" asked Max not knowing what the dangerous weapon was
"I don't know but I don't think it's good" said Enrique
"You're right it's not good, now prepare to DIE!" the man said pulling the trigger
Max, Enrique, and Zak and Wheezie screamed
The rocket began flying right at their group
Ord thinking quickly opened his mouth and fired his dragon breath
A blue ball of energy flew out of Ord's mouth with enough recoil to knock Ord to the ground
The ball of energy and the rocket collided in midair
They caused a huge explosion that knocked both groups down and shock the building so hard the more of the roof caved in and all the windows in the building blew out
Both groups got up a little shaken but unharmed
"Ord are you alright?" asked Max over looking Ord who was on the ground panting
"I'm fine but I don't think I can do that again it make's me tired" said Ord getting up with Zak and Wheezie's help
The men quickly got up as well and prepared for another attack
"Look's like this is the end for you" said the man aiming the gun, he could see his attack had weakened them and only one more attack would be needed to finish them off
The dragon's group could see that they were in big trouble and had no way of stopping this attack
They looked in horror as the man was about to fire again
Suddenly a bright pink blur came soaring up into the air behind the robbers with amazing speed
The blur came down right in front of the man with the big gun
When it landed Max could see what it was
It was a small figure with a bright pink cloak on
It had a sword in its hand
The sword was bright pink, it was smaller than Max's sword but longer than Enrique's, the blade was thin and very straight, and the hilt was beautifully decorated, it had a small pink jewel surrounded by carvings of white wings on the sides
Max could see the hand that was holding the sword
It had a patch of white skin on the back of the hand that was shaped like a heart
Max knew who it was
Emmy and Cassie
Emmy had just come flying down in front of the man with the rocket launcher
The man watched as the rocket launcher fell to pieces in his hand
Before then men could so much as blink Emmy used her sword to slice all of the robber's guns to pieces with amazing inhuman speed
The men then realizing they were finished turned around to look for an escape only to be face to face with Cassie
She had changed like the rest; scaly wings, smaller belly, longer claws, and different scales
She also had a white heart shaped mark on her hand
The man looked in fear at Cassie, even though she still didn't look scary at all
Cassie quickly opened up her mouth and fired her dragon breath
A bunch of small pink energy blasts flew from her mouth at a high rate of fire
She sprayed the group of robbers with energy blasts
All eight men fell to the ground
Emmy just stood in front of the man who had the rocket launcher
He looked at her face but all he could see with that hood on was black
Emmy then raised her sword like she was going to strike the man
The man suddenly fainted from fear and fell to the ground before Emmy had to strike a blow
"Well, that was easy" said Emmy putting away her sword
Emmy and Cassie walked up to the rest of their group in the middle of the bank
Max was about to yell out "EMMY" and go and hug his sister but before he could Emmy put her finger to her lips and made the "Quiet" sign
Emmy then motioned to all the other people who they had just saved, that were now watching them
Max realized that if he yelled out Emmy's name everyone in the bank would know who she was
Emmy quickly came up with a plan
"Don't worry "I saved the girl in the back" said Emmy
Max caught on
"Oh good, is she alright?" said Max in a acting tone
"She's just fine" said Emmy also acting
Emmy couldn't help but giggle a little bit
A woman who was among the others taken hostage came forward nervously
"Thank you so much for saving us" the woman said gratefully
"It's no problem" said Enrique
"Wh…Who are you?" asked the woman who was in awe of these strange, albeit small, beings with large lizards behind them
All three children looked at each other thinking of what to say
"We are….um" said Max unsure of what to say
Then it hit him
We're the Dragon Riders!" said Max proudly striking a heroic pose
"Yeah!" said Enrique and Emmy behind him
Max turned to his friends
"Let's go guys" he said mounting Ord
Emmy and Enrique quickly did the same with Cassie, and Zak and Wheezie
"Bye" said all three as they waved while the dragons took off through the hole in the roof
Outside
The dragons hovered over the bank
"Emmy I'm so glad you're safe" said Max
"Thanks Max, I'm just amazed that we actually did all that" said Emmy
"Yeah, but guys won't the police notice Emmy is missing?" asked Enrique
"Oh, yeah they will" said Max
"It's no problem, just drop me in the back through the window you came through Cassie" said Emmy
"You sure?" asked Cassie
"Yeah I'll tell the police the pink dragon rider and dragon came through the window and saved me, and that I hid back there while the fighting was going on" said Emmy
"Ok but we better hurry" said Max looking down at the police who had finally decided to come rushing into the bank
"Ok, I'll see you guys at home" said Emmy as Cassie and her went to drop her off at the back
"Yeah we better hurry too, we need to get back before anyone notices we're not in the playroom" said Enrique
"Ok" said Max
"What about us?" asked Ord
"Yeah, we're going to be in trouble when we get back" said Zak
"We're going to have to figure that out later, right now let's just get back to Dragon Land" said Max with a slight yawn sounding tired
They waited for Cassie to return, and when she arrived they quickly opened another portal and headed to Dragon Land
In Dragon Land
They flew through the portal and into the sky in Dragon Land
It was only sunset in Dragon Land because of the fact they had a lot more hours of light than the human world
They landed in a quiet grassy field and laid down
They rested on the ground, exhausted by what they had just done
They lay on their backs with their eyes closed for a minute just listening to the tranquil sounds of Dragon Land at sunset
All of them felt very tired
Ord thought he heard someone walking over to them
He opened his eyes and saw Quetzal standing over him
"Ah Quetzal!" said Ord in shock alerting the others
All of them sat up and looked at their teacher who was now looking at them in their Dragon Rider forms
He didn't look angry; he looked at them with a gentle, concerned look
Quetzal could tell what they had done
"Quetzal! Um….um…we can explain!" said Max defensively
"We can do that later" Quetzal said gently
"As for now, are you ok ninos?" asked Quetzal looking them over
All of them said they were fine
"Ok good; Max, Enrique is Emmy alright?" he asked the two children
"She's fine" said Max
"Good" said Quetzal
"Um Quetzal…. Are we in trouble?" asked Enrique
"No ninos, all that matters now is that you are safe" he said softly
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief but they still felt tense
"Max, Enrique, I think it's about time you head home, your parents will worry if they see you gone" said Quetzal
"Ok" said Max and Enrique
"Meanwhile I'll talk to Ord, Cassie, Zak and Wheezie's parents, I'll tell them about what has happened and to let them rest for tonight, we'll sort this out tomorrow. Max you, Enrique, and Emmy come back here as soon as you can tomorrow so we can talk" said Quetzal
"Ok" said Max with a yawn
"Um Quetzal, are we going to be stuck looking like this forever?" asked Cassie noting her scaly wings and long claws
"No ninos, just focus and you'll change back to normal as I suspect Emmy will have done by now" said Quetzal
All the dragons, and Max and Enrique focused on turning back and seconds latter in a flash of colored light they were back to normal
Max and Enrique put their hands together and said the rhyme to take them back home while the dragons waved goodbye
In a flash of light they were gone
The Playroom
Max and Enrique reappeared in the now dark playroom
Max went over to the light switch and turned the lights on
"That was (Yawn) close" said Max
"So what do you think happens now?" asked Enrique
"I don't know, I guess we wait for Emmy to get home" said Max
"I mean about the dragon riders" said Enrique
"I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out what happens from Quetzal" said Max
Just then Max and Enrique heard a lot of cars pull up outside the window
They both went over to the window to look outside
They're were police and news vans everywhere
They could see Max's parent's car pull up, along with a lot of police cruisers
Max's parents got out of the car with Emmy and we're immediately swarmed by reporters
(I really don't like reporters; don't those people have any hearts, I mean they always trying to get an interview from someone who just had something horrible happen to them and just wants to be left alone. Ah enough of my rambling)
The police helped get the reporters off them and escorted them into the house
Max and Enrique went out into the living room, their a lot of police people wanted to know what Emmy saw in the bank
"Emmy!" Max said as he ran forward and hugged his sister, interrupting the interrogation
"Don't worry Max I'm fine" said Emmy softly knowing he was only doing this to not look suspicious; since if he acted like nothing had happened someone might find that was weird
Max let go off Emmy who then turned to her parents
"Mom, Dad, can I do this tomorrow? I'm (Yawn) tired" said Emmy
"Would it be alright if our daughter did this tomorrow it's late now and she's been through a lot" asked her father
"Ok we can wait, it's not like those crooks are going anywhere" said a older police detective
"We'll return tomorrow morning to begin again" he continued
"Thank you" said her mom
"We'll get the media to leave on the way out so you can get some rest" said a younger officer
"Gracias" said her father
The police left and forced the media to leave
Max and Emmy's parents turned to Enrique
"You should be getting home Enrique it's very late and your parents will worry" said their father
"Ok guys I'll see you tomorrow if I can" said Enrique leaving
"Come on Max let's go to bed" said Emmy
"Buenos Noches" said their parents as the two children headed toward their bedroom
"So Max what happened in Dragon Land?" whispered Emmy as she and Max walked down the hallway
"Quetzal found out and said we have to go there tomorrow to talk about what we're going to do" said Max
"I think this is going to be the start of an adventure, just like in those comic books Max" said Emmy
"Yeah, because now we're the dragon riders!" said Max excitedly
And with that they went into their room and fell asleep.
