Chapter 1402
It Was Debatable
Savannah spent two hours with CamNet.
CamNet was given the option to use one of her chips instead of the tether.
"I can put one or more chips in for you." Savannah said.
CamNet wasn't ready for the next step.
"The tether is fine unless you don't want me to use it." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't want to force the issue. She knew Cameron was totally against CamNet becoming mobile. She was sure CamNet didn't want to make any waves. Her being there would create enough of them.
"However you are is fine with me." Savannah said.
They stripped each other and headed for the bed.
Savannah liked it when CamNet picked her up and placed her on the bed. It was done very lovingly. It made her feel special. She wouldn't be able to do the same thing for CamNet. She could barely move Cameron on her shoulder the one time she'd tried to remove her from the danger zone when she was incapacitated.
CamNet was eager to share with Savannah.
Savannah wanted to take it slow at first. She wanted to make it about them as individuals. She didn't want it to be about sex. It was how they started out. It seemed to make each kiss and every touch more meaningful.
They worked their way down from there and the intensity increased. There were many rewarding finishes for both of them.
Savannah was limited on time. There were other things she needed to do. She hated to wrap it up, but it was time.
"I think I can say the bed was more comfortable than the blanket on the floor." CamNet said.
Savannah laughed and gave CamNet a kiss.
"If we can be together, I don't care where it is." Savannah said.
CamNet gave Savannah a kiss.
"I want to thank you for everything." CamNet said. "I owe all of this to you."
Savannah didn't want her to forget the most important part.
"You owe your creation to Cameron." Savannah said. "You don't need to thank me for anything. I only did what I believed was the right thing. They don't always like the way I do things. I believe in doing what is correct and right. We all know right from wrong. We all know when we overstep. We all know what the right thing to do is, even if it's the hard thing."
CamNet nodded.
"That's true. I do owe my creation to Cameron." CamNet said. "I owe my existence like this, my life so to speak to you. You're the one who made me 'real'."
Savannah knew sometimes the lines got crossed or blurred. She wanted to make her personal position clear.
"I wanted you to be 'real' and Cameron helped me make it possible." Savannah said. "You need to understand how important Cameron is to me. It's because I'm important to her why she allowed all of this to happen. We all need to work with each other and we are all on the same team. You must never forget it."
CamNet was a little worried about some of her actions after Savannah's heartfelt speech. She was conducting operations outside of the Resistance. Some of them were Resistance matters. The other ones were some of Cameron's 'off the books' operations. She purposely kept them out of the Resistance orbit so Savannah wouldn't be forced into doing them herself. She wanted to take some of the heat off of Savannah.
She was sure they weren't going to like the way she did things either. She believed protecting Savannah was the right thing. She also needed to keep John Henry in the dark about some of her actions. It wasn't easy to do. Whenever his server JH inquired about something on the fringes of her actions, she needed to tell him to back off and not worry about it. She said it was OK to ask about some things, but drop them when instructed. She needed to refocus. She needed to keep her attention on Savannah while she was there.
They shared some more pillow talk and were together one more time. Savannah was able to use her experience with Metal girls to please CamNet completely.
"I need to go soon." Savannah said.
CamNet wanted her to stay longer but understood. She was very pleased Savannah specifically made time to see her. She also saw her first when she did have free time. It made her feel a little selfish. She knew Savannah should spend time with her true mate.
"I'm pleased with any time you can spend with me." CamNet said. "I appreciate any interaction. I understand you have other priorities and other commitments. I know it's just the way it is. Nobody can stop the future."
Savannah didn't think discussing the future, a future, or any future should be part of their discussion right now. She believed everything could be changed and altered. She was aware some of the changes might not always be for the better. It would be something they would need to work around. She collected her clothes from the pile she'd dropped them in.
CamNet started to dress as well. She looked at Savannah in detail as she dressed. She could see new bruises. One was very large. She'd refrained from commenting earlier because she didn't want to spoil the mood.
"I'm worried about you." CamNet said.
Savannah knew what it was going to be about.
"I lead an active life." Savannah said.
CamNet understood injuries to the human body. The human body showed signs of where it was damaged externally. Internal damage was much harder to see without medical equipment.
"It's your body I'm worried about." CamNet said. "It's damaged much more than it was a few days ago."
Savannah needed to step up for Cameron.
"You know there's been a lot of action." Savannah said. "Things happen."
CamNet thought she could help Savannah. The new damage she'd observed on Savannah's body only reaffirmed her decision to act on her own. She'd activated several Terminators outside of Cameron's knowledge. They weren't Cameron's Terminators. They were her Terminators. She hoped it wasn't the first step into becoming some convoluted version of Skynet. She didn't do it for her own good. It was about protecting Savannah. She was sure it was going to cause a problem with Cameron later on. She wanted to try to give herself some cover when it happened. She would run it by Savannah and see what she said.
"I can have more Terminators assist you." CamNet said. "I can have more Terminators activated if you need them. You don't need to do the fighting."
Savannah and CamNet were both dressed.
"I need to be an active part of the Resistance. The Resistance needs to have a human presence. I don't want the others to need to face the danger. I need to protect John. I need to protect Young Allison." Savannah said. "I need to protect Cameron. I need to protect you. I don't want the Reese brothers hurt or Sarah or Riley. I don't want Jesse, Vanna or Allison to face the danger either. It's my job. It's my function."
CamNet disagreed. She could see Savannah believed in what she spoke of. There was one other issue she needed to address. Actually there were two.
"I know our relationship seems to cause a lot of friction for Cammy." CamNet said. "How can we rectify it? It bothers me it's a problem for her. I'm sure it's going to be a bigger problem for Cameron in the future."
CamNet was sure it was a problem for Savannah as well. Savannah was the one who needed to deal with it.
Savannah wasn't sure why it bothered Cammy so much if she went to see CamNet. She was with all the other Metal girls.
"It's upsetting to her." Savannah said. "I think what's really behind it is what she helps cover up when we deal with the Fanatics."
CamNet always received a confidential report from Savannah about what actually transpired in those encounters. They were all quite disturbing to say the least. There'd been multiple times when Fanatics self terminated when they'd faced Savannah, even when they had a weapon pointed at her head. She wondered what kind of fear they possessed.
"She's worried I'm 'The Good Skynet' and you're 'The Evil One' and 'The Redheaded Witch'." CamNet said. "She thinks somehow we're involved in the future with the Fanatics. It's you and me doing who knows what."
It was troubling to Savannah.
"You may be 'The Good Skynet' and around in the further future. I honestly don't think it's me who is 'The Evil One' and 'The Redheaded Witch'." Savannah said. "It is a possibility but they seem to think I'm a Liquid Metal Terminator. They fear my appearance worse than death. It sounds more like Mrs. Weaver or another like her."
CamNet wondered if in the further future, the full mind of a human could be copied and saved. It would be like the 'Neural Interface' but the entire human mind copied. Savannah updated her 'Neural Interface' with Anna several times a month if not once a week. Each input made Anna more like 'Savannah' than her base program which was Cameron's program. Maybe it was Anna's chip or a copy of it. Anna shared Savannah's DNA as well.
She wanted to find out more about it. If there was a way to make Savannah invincible and eternal, she would try to find out how. She would like to have the option available for Savannah if she was catastrophically injured.
CamNet was aware John Henry pondered the death of a human and the loss of all of their knowledge since none of it could be downloaded.
"We don't know the future. It's possible technology may exist or be created to allow your consciousness to be preserved. You could exist with a 'replacement body'." CamNet said. "It could really be you in a Terminator chassis and even as Liquid Metal. We have to consider the possibility in a further future, it may be something else."
It was a 'heavy trip' for Savannah to take in. She didn't want to die, but she knew everyone died. It was how life worked. It ended in death for all living creatures and things. What if something catastrophic happened and she chose to prolong her existence in the future by becoming a machine and to seek vengeance on Skynet, SkyMaster, or any of its spinoffs? Maybe she went on a 'one woman', or 'one machine', killing spree to enact justice. It actually sounded more like what Young Allison would do. What if it was really Young Allison and she took her appearance as an act of vengeance to deliver retribution?
"There is no way to know any of this." Savannah said. "It does bother me. It bothers me a lot. Cameron and Cammy helped cover up those interactions. They're afraid I'll be 'tainted' by them. I'm not so sure I would be. The actions all seem to be directed against the enemy. Maybe it's because of the fear they all experience. They fear of a fate worse than death."
CamNet saw it as just the opposite of Cameron and Cammy. It was something to think about in itself. She wasn't like them on everything even if she was created from Cameron. She felt Savannah would be hailed as a great warrior and a leader. She believed it was something to embrace.
"I don't know." CamNet said. "I'll respect your wishes in all such matters."
Savannah gave CamNet a hug. The tether got caught up in her arm. It was in the way a few times as they made love earlier.
"I want you to feel free to have your chips installed at any time. I'll do it for you, or you can do it yourself." Savannah said. "You may remain tethered the majority of the time, the same way John Henry is with JH. I don't know if your mainframe will remain as CamNet and you develop a separate identity. I know it's what Cameron fears. She fears you will replace her because you are superior."
CamNet knew it was something Cameron didn't want. She did appreciate it when Savannah said she was superior to Cameron.
"Cameron fears me being mobile." CamNet said. "She thinks I'll leave. Maybe I do and it's what sparks the 'Good Skynet' thing.
Savannah wondered about it too.
"Maybe I'll follow you and become those 'other things'." Savannah said. "Maybe someone else does. There are others much more intelligent than me."
CamNet frowned. She knew who the most intelligent human was. Well, at least in their current timeline. There was the other issue she wanted to come clean on before she was confronted by Cameron or Savannah. She'd learned her lesson to stop pursuing Young Allison on a 'love' or 'sexual' level. Maybe what was happening elsewhere was worse.
"Summer has been in direct contact with me numerous times." CamNet said. "I want to be the one to tell you first."
Savannah remained calm.
"I'm aware of it." Savannah said.
It was news to CamNet. She was worried what the repercussions were going to be.
"I haven't overstepped on a personal or emotional level." CamNet said. "It was all done to help improve Summer and challenge her abilities. It was what Summer requested of me. She asked for it to remain clandestine so her mother didn't become angry at her. She wants to improve herself. She wants to help the Resistance."
"I'm aware of it as well." Savannah said.
CamNet was worried there would be some 'punishment'. Savannah seemed very civil about it. She expected things to go in a different direction. They would have if she'd been dealing with Cameron. It was why she didn't bring it up before they were with each other.
"I'm not sure I understand." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't want to tread there, but it was time to make her position clear.
"Are you able to break River's encryption?" Savannah asked.
CamNet tried with John Henry to break the encryption. It was impossible.
"No." CamNet said. "Summer can and did."
Savannah smiled.
"I'm aware she's gifted." Savannah said. "She's gifted in more ways than one. She's very much like River in every way."
CamNet knew it was true. She knew of River from Cameron's and Duplicate Cameron's experiences with her.
"River is unique and so is Summer." CamNet said.
"They are." Savannah said. "Summer asked me for my advice before she started to interact with you on a personal level. I told her it can't become a 'love or sexual relationship'. She understands both of those. You made a promise to me I would be the only one to share those things with you. I told her you would honor the promise. She interacts with you so she can develop her mind further."
CamNet looked a little relieved.
"I understand." CamNet said. "I haven't crossed the line."
Savannah thought maybe a warning was needed for CamNet.
"Remember, she's very intelligent. If you 'hurt' her, she may be vengeful like her sister. She can 'hurt' you back." Savannah said. "She may be the 'Fail Safe' who keeps you in check if I can't."
CamNet now wondered if she was infected with a 'sleeper program' to do just that. It could be something Summer needs to update to keep it from taking effect after a certain period of time. If anything 'happened' to Summer, it could also cause her demise when the time period expired. She would need to make sure Summer was protected clandestinely from now on. Then again, she already did. Was it her idea, or Summer's idea she followed? Was Savannah behind this?
"It gives me a lot to think about." CamNet said.
Savannah smiled.
"All you need to do is follow the rules we discussed and keep your promises. You're not to 'worry' about anything you're thinking about right now. Everything is what it is and you'll accept it as such." Savannah said. "I'll come to see you when I can and you know I have an 'active' life. I'll always come to share with you. I don't know when it will be. I don't want it to be on a timetable or seem like a 'job'."
CamNet could understand it.
"I love you, Savannah." CamNet said.
"I love you, CamNet." Savannah said.
They hugged again and kissed.
The blast door opened for Savannah.
She turned and blew CamNet a kiss before the blast door closed.
CamNet started to wonder about all the things she thought about. Savannah warned her to let things be as they were. Maybe she'd better listen. The 'Chosen One' made it clear, even if it wasn't an order.
She wondered what the future held for any of them, including herself.
CamNet returned to her chair in front of her server. She looked at the box with her chips inside. Those would stay there for now. She didn't want to rock the boat.
The Golden Gate Bridge was behind them now.
The air grew colder the more they moved out into the Pacific Ocean.
Mary and Laura took in the new arrival with 'Barbara'. They both thought she was a ravishing beauty. It was clear who she looked like.
"Is she Sue's sister?" Mary asked.
Holly thought they would have asked earlier.
"Yes." Holly said.
It was hard for Laura to take her eyes off of her.
"She looks exactly like her." Laura said. "Just a little younger, it's amazing."
It raised a few questions with both Mary and Laura.
"What happened to Sue's twin sister?" Mary asked. "We only saw her one time, maybe two."
Holly didn't want all the questions.
"We told you she needed to get off in Catalina." Holly said.
Allison and Vanna didn't want Mary and Laura to ask too many questions either. It was time to leave with them. They took them back to the elevator.
John was alone with Holly, Camille and Young Jesse now.
Young Jesse gave John a big hug. She liked his new look. She thought the goatee made him look dashing. She thought he looked like a young Tony Stark. She smiled when she realized it was probably why his code name was Tony. She thought it showed a certain sense of style. She moved close to him. She looked forward to being with John.
"You know why I'm here, love." Young Jesse whispered.
John did. Cameron told him Young Jesse was going to have a child for Jesse. There was only one catch. She wanted a traditional conception this time.
"I do." John said.
Camille wasn't pleased with the traditional method. She thought the artificial method was much more efficient. Much less genetic material was wasted.
"Save the wedding vows for another time." Camille said.
John looked at her to see if she was joking. I didn't look like it. She looked sort of like Cameron on a bad day. There seemed to be a lot of those.
Cameron came around from the side of the elevator housing as soon as Mary and Laura were in the elevator with Vanna and Allison.
Young Jesse ran to Cameron as she saw her approach them.
Camille watched Young Jesse run from John and her.
"I guess we know where we rate." Camille said.
Cameron joined them with Young Jesse at her side a few seconds later.
The elevator dinged again and Sheila came out from the enclosure. Allison was with her. Gail-Cam met and stayed with Vanna.
Young Jesse went over to greet Sheila.
Allison rubbed her arms.
"I'm all for the 'pow wow', but can we go where it's warmer?" Allison asked.
There was a small photo studio between the elevator and the stairway. They retreated into it. It was closed for the next few hours. CamNet previously gave the photographer a different assignment.
Cameron explained the situation to everyone. She heard Camille's negative comments earlier. It was time to set the record straight. She took Camille off to the side and spoke with her.
John could see Camille look at him every now and then.
Camille left Cameron. She did understand the importance of some things. She also understood Young Jesse's desires. She joined John and Young Jesse.
Cameron spoke with Holly and Allison for a few minutes.
Holly and Allison soon bid everyone farewell and went down the elevator.
Cameron came over and took Young Jesse off to the side. She discussed what was going to happen and made sure what Young Jesse wanted. She wanted everything clear with everyone.
Camille was with John. He kept looking at her.
"You look exactly like Cameron." John said.
Camille wasn't sure she wanted to look exactly like Cameron. She understood Cam, and especially Cammy, seemed to resent the fact they looked like Cameron, and ran her program. She did both as well.
"We're identical." Camille said. "We're all based on Allison."
It seemed she missed his point. He meant she was Tight like Cameron was. It didn't seem like a good idea to pursue it.
She proceeded to give him a run down on what was happening in Australia. There was a lot of information. He was glad when Cameron and Young Jesse returned.
"Here's the deal." Cameron said. "Everyone has agreed to the changes."
John wondered what was going to happen next.
Cameron went on to lay it out. John was satisfied with what would happen. He would have a very special time to look forward to. It looked like he would have eight virgins in a week's time and seven of them were 'Cameron'. It was the eighth one he really looked forward to.
Holly and Allison headed back to their room, the Master Suite. Holly was all for the chip swap with Camille. She wasn't sure Allison was.
"Are you sure you don't mind?" Holly asked.
Allison needed to think about Young Jesse now.
"I want Camille and Young Jesse to have some fun." Allison said. "I mean other than in John's bed."
Holly was very excited at what Cameron proposed. It was something she liked whenever she could switch chips for a few days with an 'Allison' based Terminator
"I'll get to look like you." Holly said. "I'd like the idea very much."
Allison knew there was a flip side to it. The bad part was, it would limit her interaction with Holly outside of the private area. The good part was, Holly would be identical to Cameron. Their relationship would allow Holly to do whatever she asked of her, no matter what it was. Holly was going to be 'Cameron' to her when they were alone.
"The chip swap with Camille will only be for a few days." Allison said. "I think it's fine."
Holly hoped when it was time to switch back, Cameron didn't trade chassis with Camille and try to keep her chassis. She believed John liked her chassis and her sheath the best.
They passed the first smaller suite she was in earlier. It sounded quiet in there. Vanna and Gail-Cam were going to officially move Mary and Laura to the first suite. Leticia was in the one next to it. As they passed, Holly told her Ally and Hanna were in there with Leticia since Sheila was called away to see Young Jesse.
They had a few hours until dinner. Holly wouldn't be able to go with Allison tonight. They still needed to do the chip swap. It was 'dress up' night tonight as well.
Sheila would take Young Jesse around to see the ship. She hoped they could be together later on. She wasn't sure how possessive Camille was going to be. She seemed a lot like 'Cameron' to her. It wasn't in a good way either.
She asked Young Jesse a lot of personal questions and tried to find out as much about her and Camille as possible. She was curious herself. Cameron also asked her to do it. She was aware not everything made it into the reports. She was quite thankful for the 'oversight' on a multitude of her own actions. Some of them would be very hard to explain. Most everyone would be appalled at some of them, some more than others.
Since they were at the rear elevators, they went down and started in the main dining room. They would hit the Promenade deck next and check out the rear lounge and then the main theater. She would then take her topside to see the pool deck and buffet. Cameron asked her to keep Young Jesse busy for an hour before she returned her to the Honeymoon Suite. It was 'formal night' so she would need some time to get ready. She was to assist her if Camille was still tied up in the Owner's Suite.
Sheila hoped Camille would be late. It would give her an excuse to see and touch Young Jesse as she changed. She planned to change with her. She wanted to compare their naked bodies. She would decide then if she wanted to do some 'age regression'. The more she looked at Young Jesse, the more she thought it seemed like a good idea.
Maybe Jesse was reformed when it came to some of the females. It was debatable if Sheila was. Her personal desire was to 'take' Young Jesse right now. She hoped to entice Young Jesse with her naked body and jewelry.
Savannah left CamNet's bunker and headed back up to the main level of Cameron's base. She questioned her decision to make CamNet promise not to pursue anyone else. She wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do in the long run. Maybe it was a rule which could be relaxed. What right did she have to determine who anyone's sexual partner would be? She'd enacted the rules to protect Young Allison from being 'hurt' by an impossible relationship.
Through her own actions, she realized the relationship wasn't impossible anymore. It could be real. It could be real for Young Allison or Summer. It could be real for any of them whether they were a human or a Terminator. It didn't matter if they were male or female either. She didn't want to think about it right now.
She expected Cammy to have a major attitude problem but she didn't.
"Hi, Savannah." Cammy said with a smile on her face.
Cammy gave her a kiss.
"Hello." Savannah said.
Savannah wondered why Cammy was so cheerful. She knew if she asked why, Cammy wouldn't be any longer.
"Where would you like to go next?" Cammy asked. "We can see Young Allison or do whatever you want."
Savannah wondered what was different. It made her think Cammy wanted to cover something up.
"I need to know what updates there are." Savannah said.
Cammy's smile faded some.
"There are no major developments." Cammy said.
Savannah could feel the 'dance' coming.
"What about the not so major developments?" Savannah asked.
Cammy didn't want Savannah back in the fight today.
"Steve and Tom are running down a few leads." Cammy said. "It was from some of the phone data we captured."
Savannah wanted to see Young Allison. The new development sounded more important.
"Maybe we better go and back them up." Savannah said.
It wasn't what Cammy wanted.
"There are other teams of Terminators who can be diverted." Cammy said.
Savannah knew Cammy missed the point.
"We're free right now. No one needs to be pulled off of an assignment." Savannah said. "How far away is it and what are they after?"
The smile was long gone from Cammy's face.
Cammy and John Henry began to fill Savannah in.
CamNet watched Savannah on the security cameras. The smile was gone from her face too. She could see Savannah would do what she believed in. A single tear ran down her cheek. She didn't want Savannah to be battered further or need to fight for her life. It gave her a little more justification to continue what she was doing 'off the books' currently.
Cameron led John and Camille back towards the Owner's Suite.
Jim opened the door to the private area as they neared.
They thanked him and went into the Owner's Suite.
John wanted to make sure they were all on the same page.
"I need to know it's really what you want to do, Camille." John said. "I don't want any pressure put on anyone. I especially don't any pressure put on for something of this nature."
It wasn't Camille's first choice. She didn't believe an opportunity like this wouldn't happen again for a long time. This was her chance to find out what Young Jesse would 'face' later on. She wanted to make sure it would be a positive experience for her. It would also give her the opportunity to see what it was like to be with a male, even if Cameron was the one in control. She felt Cameron selfishly blocked all of her interaction with John from her clones.
"I've agreed to Cameron's terms and she's agreed to mine." Camille said. "I'll be able to be with you 'one time' on my own at some point in time. You need to agree to it too. When I come to see you, it's exactly what I intend to do."
Cameron wanted to give Camille a dirty look but refrained.
John wondered if the Metal girls knew Cameron was never going to honor her promise. He also figured they would attempt to cash in when Cameron was busy elsewhere.
"I will." John said.
Cameron knew they were on a timetable. She also wanted John to be able to be 'good to go' with Young Jesse later on. It was what everything was really about. She'd scanned Young Jesse and didn't think things would be in prime mating condition until tomorrow. Maybe Young Jesse could wait until then. She also knew it wouldn't hurt to get an early start either. The more of John's 'little soldiers' there were, the greater the chances of conception would be.
She agreed to it because Jesse asked her if she could have her mother or Young Jesse carry a child for her. She asked Jesse if she wanted to use her own genetic material and she didn't. Jesse told her she felt she was too 'damaged' from the future.
What Jesse didn't tell her, was she felt tainted by her past and her actions. She wanted a child free from her 'evil seed'. Young Jesse was her so it was her child in reality. She didn't have the same hang up Vanna did about 'taking' someone else's child from them. They were the SAME person!
"Let's get started." Cameron said.
John was excited he was about to claim another virgin chassis. It would be Cameron in control, so he didn't have a problem with it.
Camille and John undressed each other. It was clear they were both ready for their 'one time' right now.
Once they were naked, Camille hugged John close. She moved her lips against his ear.
"I want you to make love to my chassis like you would to Jesse - Young Jesse." Camille whispered. "I want the same experience she'll have. I know it will be Cameron who does it, but I want you to think of Young Jesse and how you will be with her. I want to make sure it will be pleasant for her."
John wondered if she was only doing it as Young Jesse protector. He didn't want to ask. If she said 'yes', then he would feel bad. He didn't think he would still want to do it. It was better not to know. If it was why she was going to do it, then she was a devoted and honorable guardian for Young Jesse.
Cameron returned with the tether. She kicked off her shoes and moved her hair off of her neck. She handed the tether to Camille. She wasn't going to undress.
Camille looked at Cameron and then at John. John nodded to her. She plugged the tether into Cameron's neck. She then handed the other end of the tether to John and moved her hair out of the way. She'd already uncovered the tether port. John looked at Cameron and then at Camille. He plugged the tether in.
Cameron took her place on the far side of the bed out of the way.
John faced Camille. Their eyes were locked. He watched her eyes close and then reopen.
"I love you, John, and you love me." Camille-Cameron said.
John wondered if it ever got old. It still excited him to know what was going to happen.
"I love you, Cameron, and you love me." John said.
He lifted Camille-Cameron up and carried her to the bed. It was right there. He really only needed to turn around. He laid her down gently.
He climbed in next to her. He gently touched her cheek with his hand.
"Are you ready?" John asked softly.
Camille-Cameron looked at him with loving eyes.
"Yes." Camille-Cameron said.
John remembered what Camille asked of him. He wanted to let her know what he would ask of Young Jesse before they started.
"I can stop or do something different at any time." John said. "If anything is uncomfortable or painful, I want you to say something."
Camille-Cameron looked a little confused.
"I want you to make love to me." Camille-Cameron said. "I want you to 'make' me a woman."
John started out a little less aggressive than he normally did. Everything was extra tender and sweet. After a little more extensive foreplay, it was time to make things happen. He moved over the top of Camille-Cameron.
"Go slow." Camille-Cameron said. "This is my first time…."
John did. It always excited him to hear it. It was even more so when it was true like now. Since Camille asked him to think it was Young Jesse, and act as if it was, it made it all the more exciting to him. He was sure it made him do everything a little better. He certainly put more effort into it.
Anna could tell Young Allison wasn't pleased Savannah wasn't on her way to Palmdale right now.
"There was already a team dispatched to deal with the lead." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't want to create a bigger problem.
"Savannah needs to do what she feels is the right thing for the troops." Anna said.
Young Allison frowned.
"I know." Young Allison said. "There can always be another time."
Anna wanted to point out the reality of what a trip to the past would be like.
"You may not see her for a year or more in the past." Anna said.
Young Allison needed to toughen up.
"I'll deal with it when it is necessary." Young Allison said. "Everyone sacrifices for John Connor."
Anna doubted Young Allison wanted to enhance the aging process for John at this point. She would do it so she could be with Savannah. It was clear where her heart was firmly planted. Young Allison loved Savannah more than anything. It was doubtful it would ever change, even if it was 'tested'.
"Sacrifice is the true test of love." Anna said.
Young Allison nodded.
"I guess it really is." Young Allison said.
Dan and Frank watched the ship depart.
"We have our assignment for tonight." Dan said.
Frank was pleased they'd been given the green light.
"This time it's 'sanctioned'." Frank said.
Dan was aware there would be even more resources available to them.
"We'll have the full support of John Henry and CamNet." Dan said.
They wanted to make sure the park 'belonged' to Sheila and Cameron.
"Sheila asked us to enforce her directive about the park and Cameron agreed to it." Frank said.
They knew they couldn't directly support the team where the ship was at currently.
"The ship is at sea. Ken and Lou can be wherever they need to be in the Blackhawk in no time." Dan said. "We have some free time."
Frank thought about some of the individuals they'd encountered earlier.
"I was irritated by some of the 'street people' we ran into today while we waited for the ship to depart." Frank said.
Dan didn't think retribution was too far away.
"It's OK." Dan said. "I'm sure a lot of the 'street people' turn into the 'night people'."
Frank wanted to do a good job.
"The park belongs to Sheila." Frank said.
Dan looked at Frank and smiled.
"And the darkness belongs to us." Dan said.
It was time to take out the trash.
The Terminators were ready to act.
CamNet wanted her Terminators to enter the building. She wanted them to take the box truck. She wanted to use it to approach what was the left of the warehouse at the end of the dirt road. It seemed like a very risky prospect on all counts.
They'd already tried ringing the bell to see if someone would let them in. Nothing happened. They didn't want to go in the front door either.
"We can always try going through the restroom window like we did at the other location." Lena said.
Tina thought about it.
"If someone wired the place, or if someone else was laying low inside, it might be where they'd expect us to come in at." Tina said.
Lena was sure if the building was under observation, they'd probably already been made anyway.
"We could always go through the wall." Lena said. "It won't be as fast."
Tina knew it was an effective strategy.
"It would sure make a lot of noise." Tina said.
They were aware on a past operation, Cammy and Cam removed a window near the front door. Since those windows weren't designed to be opened, they were never wired. It was the approach they decided to use.
They quickly pried the window frame apart and removed the large piece of glass. Lena slowly stuck her head inside to make sure there wasn't a hidden motion detector or any other type of added surveillance devices. None were spotted.
They listened intently as they worked to hear if they could hear the sounds of anyone moving up to ambush them. Everything was quiet. They moved inside of the lobby area. They could see the door was wired. It appeared it was for the standard alarm. It could be hooked up to an explosive device at this point in time.
They could go through the receptionist window or the lobby door. There was a good chance either one, or both of those, were wired now. Their files showed on one of the entries they went through the drywall into a surrounding office, on the other entry, they entered through the receptionist window.
They decided to try the receptionist window first. Lena looked at the two sliding pieces of glass. There was a lot of play in them. It appeared at one point in time the right window was the one which was normally opened. She went to work on the left one. She was able to lift it up out of its mount. She stuck her head slowly into the receptionist area. There was no sign of a motion detector. She looked at the other small window. It wasn't wired. She lifted it out as well.
The two Terminators quickly scrambled through the small window. The door for the receptionist office opened inward. There was no indication it was wired.
Lena opened it and looked out into the hallway. The door from the lobby area was wired. It didn't appear to be recent.
The two Metal girls started down the hallway. They opened the doors carefully along the way. All of the rooms were empty. Two of them contained makeshift bunks. There was no 'comfort bunk' spotted. The break room was the makeshift kitchen. The trash can showed the usual assortment of used paper plates. There was no wasted food on any of them. It was always an indication of those from the future. They never wasted food, even if they could. They all remembered what it was like growing up with nothing to eat.
They neared the door to the work room area. There were no bullet holes in it. The door wasn't visibly wired. CamNet already indicated the alarm wasn't set. Theoretically, if there was a bomb wired to it, it shouldn't go off. Then again, if the door was opened it would show 'not ready' on the alarm panel. It was possible the action would trigger something anyway.
Tina thought about what intelligence they did have on the location.
"If someone was here to attack the place, they weren't here very long." Tina said. "I don't think they had time to wire anything. It looks like a simple in and out."
Lena didn't want to get ahead of themselves.
"We don't know what it is." Lena said.
She quickly pulled the door open. No bomb went off.
They spotted one body right away. They quickly moved out to each side of the structure. There were three more bodies in total. It was hard to say who the attackers were and who the defenders were.
All of the weapons were gone. Someone obviously survived the battle and collected the weapons. Their first thought was the attack was carried out by the anti-Metal faction. There was no way to know for sure. The anti-Metal group was usually shorter on resources than the Skynet or SkyMaster related groups.
They searched the men and collected what they could. Their phones were gone. The keys for the box truck were in one of the men's pockets.
Lena looked at their surroundings.
"I have a feeling the only reason this place wasn't torched, is whoever did this planned to come back." Lena said.
They thought about the sedan which passed by earlier. They wanted an update.
"What's the latest on the vehicle we saw drive by earlier?" Tina asked.
CamNet continued to track it, every time the drone made a wide orbit. So far it hadn't acted with any other vehicles or made any stops. It also hadn't gone very far from the location. There was no indication it was on its way back either.
They wanted to know if they should burn the building when they took the box truck.
CamNet gave them other instructions. They looked around the building and collected everything CamNet told them to find. It was placed in three strategic locations. They headed out to the dock. They looked at the buildings in back and on either side first. They couldn't spot any surveillance equipment. Then again, it was the whole point of surveillance equipment. If someone knew it was there, it could be used against the group who placed it.
They checked the box truck. There was nothing in the back of it. It wasn't wired to explode when it was started.
Lena climbed up into the cab.
"Go back out the front and replace the three windows we removed." Lena said. "I'll pick you up out there.
Tina re-entered the building.
Lena started the box truck. She drove it towards the building in back before she made her turn. She wanted to see if she could provoke any type of reaction. The drone already had the building locked up for a missile shot if necessary. She drove along the side of the building and out to the front.
Tina finished reinstalling the large piece of glass. She hurried out to the curb and crossed the street. She climbed up onto the running board over the fuel tank and into the cab.
CamNet's Terminators drove away from the location in the newly acquired box truck. They would stop by and retrieve their SUV as well. Their next stop should be the location where they'd last spotted the female Fanatic. CamNet continued to monitor the sedan which passed by earlier.
Jill stayed on the road well behind the three big rigs. The road slowly curved away from the freeway and headed towards the mountains.
She wasn't really sure what their destination would be. So far they'd passed several turn offs. They all listed the names of communities and small cities she'd heard before. She wondered exactly where they were headed.
Two trucks passed her. One of them had two motorcycles in the back of it. The other one towed a small trailer with a big door on the back of it. She thought it was something she'd heard about before called a 'toy hauler'. It was probably a few guys headed for a remote location where they could drive their 'off road' equipment. Right now, both of the trucks were in front of her. They were between her and the big rigs.
She kept a casual watch in the rear view mirror from time to time to see if there was anyone following her. There was always a little apprehension as she saw one of the vehicles draw closer. She always slowed down some to see if they continued to gain on her, or if they would slow down too. All of them continue to gain and would pass her at some point.
She remembered the 'secret agent' told her there were other vehicles at the location as well. She didn't believe the one she saw in the dry gulch was one of them.
Jill continued her pursuit of the big rigs. She really wondered what the fate of the 'secret agent' was. She was sure she owed her life to her.
The female Fanatic opened her eyes and sat it up. She was in total darkness. She could feel the cold metal of the HK Track behind her. She reached forward and touched the wood of the crate she currently hid behind. The truck still continued its journey.
The ride seemed a little bumpier now. It wasn't as bumpy as the dirt road away from the warehouse was. It was still a little rougher. She figured they were on a more rural road. She really thought they would have arrived at a destination by now. She wondered what the stop was for earlier. It hadn't been very long at all.
She didn't like to fall asleep. She was pretty sure she'd been able to catch up on a little bit of her missed sleep. She did push it pretty hard for the last few days. It was the dreams which bothered her the most.
Where did they come from? Where did any dream come from? Not all of the events she dreamt about were things she actually was involved in, or a part of. Some of them were things she'd heard about from others. Maybe some of them were things she was afraid were going to happen. She really didn't know what was going to happen next.
The female Fanatic didn't have much to do right now. She was along for the ride to an unknown destination. In the darkness it was easy for her eyelids to become heavy.
It Was Debatable
Is one only there
Because they're available
Are they only kept
Because they're accessible
Who's the one that calls the shots
Who will be held accountable
Everyone who's there by choice
Is just as culpable
Time will quickly prove
If two are incompatible
As events expand and play out
It may even turn into a crucible
One needs to be open
They need to remain flexible
As everything develops and happens
It's all a big gamble
Those who remain humble
Will remain a little more reasonable
Was the approach more sensible
It was debatable
Nobody
