Very smutty chapter ahead! I hope you guys like it, I've never really gone into detail again but let's give it a try.
Eren captured five lizards before realizing at the age of seven he could not keep them alive. He later discovered his father did not like having animals caged and would free it while he slept.
Every evening, once the sun had lowered half over the wall and left a straight line across Shiganshina, Armin and his grandfather would walk the streets and help vendors close for the night. They were given gifts in gratitude; food, books, clothes, little trinkets that he wished he still had.
Mikasa would accomplish her chores early just so Eren's mom could give her a little treat on the side and eat it alone in the woods, pretending that her mom and dad were eating it with her. She's never told anyone that.
Connie, his younger brother Martin, and little sister Sunny, would complain about their mother waking up them early to do chores but in the end they would get cold lemonade and afternoons spent chasing the dogs over hills and around barns. They would stay up late and catch fire flies.
Jean's father went for diapers and never returned. He worked from a young age and every time he returned his mother would serve him a warm meal and regale him with wild legends of vengeful fairies called Heinenkleed that took over doppelgangers of former Gods.
Sasha grew up with every child her parents brought to the farm and was constantly being yelled at for starting fights. The worst was on a celebratory diner for one of the children being introduced and Sasha stabbed the poor girl. She said sorry and made her a crooked, deflated cake but the girl never looked at her again.
Historia collected any books she could get her hands on. She would ask the people coming in and out of her estranged house to bring one back, and they never disappointed. She read one hundred and two books by the time she moved away.
Ymir did not miss her childhood home and did not want to speak about it, stop bugging her.
As a kid, every Thursday was spent watching airplanes take off the runway until the sun went down. Her father would take them to Blockbuster to pick out a movie each to spend their weekend on, and on Sundays they would have family dinner in the backyard.
Farlan, Isobel, and Levi once visited the market in the Underground and spent all the coins in their pockets on beer and food. Not until someone threw up could they stop drinking, that was the rule, and Isobel always drank them under the table.
Miche walked into the kitchen, "Levi?"
He takes in the dauntless soldiers and Elsie rubs her thumb against the handle of her cold tea. Levi shook the memories from his shoulders and pushed from the island, nodding and following the taller man out of the room. Elsie watched him until the door swung shut.
Dreadful, cold silence soaked them. Elsie's body complained when she moved for the first time to clean her cup, and she couldn't face the others, and she thought of them as children and at home in their beds being tucked in. Not about to be sent to their deaths by flying boulders.
Someone expects Eren to break the silence. His eyes are locked on the door and his cheeks puff in frustration, it's taking all he can not to ask what they all think Levi and Miche are doing.
"So," It's Connie. Trusty Connie. "Is anyone else shitting their pants about tomorrow?"
Elsie's knees knocked and she exhaled, leaning on the counter, "Fucking hell yes."
"I couldn't sleep at all last night." Sasha has recovered from her wound. Her towel laid bloodied and wet, forgotten, and Elsie is nothing but a busy body apparently and she grabbed it to clean.
"Me either," Connie slunk in his chair. "We did ODM, we prepped the horses, packed. What else is there to do?"
Think.
It's all they can do.
Elsie sniffed, "Well, this is depressing. Shall one of us start an argument to get our minds off of it?"
"I have nothing to complain about." Jean for once met Eren's eyes and did not glower with unaltered hatred.
Ymir glanced at Historia and shrugged, "For once Sasha hasn't been snoring like a titan all night."
Sasha brightened at this compliment and proudly exposed her secret, "I make my roommate, Shira, tie me on my side so I don't turn over. It's working well!"
"I guess it's on you, Elsie," Armin said. "Unless Mikasa has something she wants to say."
They look. Mikasa does not have anything to say.
"Okay," She rolled her shoulders as if she was truly thinking, puckered her lips, and looked off to the ceiling. "The only thing that comes to mind is Levi."
Ymir grinned like the Cheshire Cat, "Oh, goody, we can talk about this. Dish up your coins, everyone, the truth is being revealed!"
"Ugh, come on Elsie, please say that you're not dating him." He cared more for his pockets than the truth. He helplessly pat his pockets and looked desperately at Connie, having not expected this to happen.
"Listen, what happens between me and Levi is none of your business-"
"You're so dating." Ymir is quick to insert.
Historia nods behind her, "I mean, Jean did see you in his bed."
"With Hange," Jean hastily reminded them. "Let's not forget they were fully dressed, and did I say under the sheets? I meant sitting over it. Six feet apart."
Elsie sighed, "Okay, so obviously, we're close and for the sake of this conversation - yes, we're dating."
Fifteen coins spill onto the table. Ymir bends to sweep them into her palm but Elsie gathers and pockets them before she can blink. Elsie grinned, "Thanks for the money, Ymir, that's so nice of you."
"It's my pleasure, Elsie, really." Ymir grunted and Jean told Connie he'd pay him back.
Elsie said, "And don't you dare call me the Captain's wife in front of Levi. The last thing I need is him thinking that I gossip to you guys about everything." It would be embarrassing. He'd kill her. Then them. Maybe he'd bring her back to life. Over all - utterly humiliating and shall never happen in Levi's presence.
"Sorry about that," Eren flushed and ruffled his hair, appearing smaller than Armin and Mikasa. "It kind of just came out. I just... I worry about every one here and I know that you all need me to transform and protect us, possibly move a rock again like in Trost, and I'm terrified that I won't measure up to it. What if I fail?"
They tell him he won't, that's he's Eren Yeager, no one else can do what he can, that he's got this with them at his side.
Elsie understands and places another steaming cup of tea before him on her way out of the kitchen.
Eren called, "The tea's amazing, wow Elsie!"
Elsie knocked and opened the door.
Levi threw a quill at her, "Wait in the hallway, shithead."
She barely comprehends that Miche and Erwin are in the room. She pivots on her heel and closes the door to stand at the side, watching the hundred odd soldiers buzz out of one room to disappear into another. They packed and joked, slinging their bags at the end of their twin metal beds, and leaning on doorways and speaking to their friends as they did their last minute check. They made plans for dinner, the great feast they were calling it, and Elsie heard Fumio tell Bierthodlt that the last of the meat would be served tonight and should head down early to get a good piece.
She jumped when the door opened. Miche does not stop to talk, only smirks down at her, and headed to the first floor. Erwin chose to stop in the doorway.
"Elsie."
"Erwin." She greeted just as severely.
He grins, "Always a laugh when we talk."
Elsie can't stop her own chuckle. Forgive and forget, that's the motto around here. She sure was glad about it when Erwin walked away and she could close the door. Levi stood at his table, fixing the sleeves of his long white shirt, and rather looking like he'd wrap it around her throat and throttle her.
"What did I say about knocking?"
"That I should do it and I did it." Elsie played innocent and meanders across the fifteen foot space between them.
He made more distance and sat at his felt, black chair that Elsie only once had the luxury of sitting in, "Tch, what do you want? I have work to do."
"Really?" She took note of scrolls from their bedroom to his desk, now scribbled and crossed out, already changed.
Levi gave her a blank stare in return. Elsie can see the sun, still high in late afternoon, the anxiety and pressure to finish, and she asked, "Do you want me to leave you alone?"
"Not really." Expressionless. Her Levi out of bed saying sweet things.
Elsie holds out her hand once she meets the end of his desk. She had stopped, hesitating, but there was no reason to stop. He grabbed her hand, and he lowered her to sit with him, and she closed her eyes for the briefest second in rejoice at being in his arms earlier than normal.
It hits her, suddenly, that this is their life. She finally got the man and she sat in his lap and it was still unbelievable. Elsie took another photograph, one of the orange light seeping between the windows behind his desk and his glossy black hair, the way his lips weren't so pale today and when she tugged on the neck of his white shirt she could see purple bruises on his inky skin. Yes, very real.
"What are you thinking?" Levi asked.
She scratched the back of his neck, "That you're going to tie me up and send me home."
Once still and innocent, his right hand wraps her hair around his palm to pull gently. Elsie's eyelids fluttered. Levi's breathing changed.
"I can't do that," He murmured it against her throat, her head slowly falling back or maybe from Levi tugging her hair, and her eyes stayed closed. "Do you mean it that you want to stay?"
"Yes."
"I'll never let you go."
His hand suddenly goes beneath her shirt to pull her flush against him and Elsie hugs him. She wraps her arms around him and breathes musk and linen, and his hand holds her in place. Her legs swing to straddle him, to make it an easier fit, you see, and Levi's hand leaves her hair to drag blunt fingernails across her neck. She turned and tried to kiss him and he ducked, licking at her collarbone, creeping lower, and lower, and Elsie can only lean her forearms against his desk as he kissed the hem of her pants.
Her hips raise in his lap, shins rested on either side of the chair, and he's seated close enough that she barely has to lean. Her hair grazes across the formation plans, and her elbows maybe crunch a paper, but Levi's hands trail a fiery trail from her spine to her belly button and him pushing her shirt above her breasts is far more important than military formations.
Levi holds her as Elsie hurriedly draws her off duty shirt over her head. She tossed it blindly, didn't care much if she ever had clothes again because Levi's hands felt sinfully delicious cupping her breasts. He pinched and pulled her nipples, breath grazing but lips never touching, and Elsie's head raised to knee him when he played too long without kisses. Levi smacked her breasts, grazing her nipples, sending a trickle of pleasure between her legs.
Elsie gasped, "Levi!"
Her hands fly to his hair when he licked a stripe between her breasts. His tongue never stayed still, licking and playing with her nipples, and his hands left her sides to gather her thighs in his palms. She wasn't sure if he was sitting anymore, in fact she was perfectly laid back on the desk with Erwin's scrolls squished beneath her back, and she could hear the packing soldiers outside.
"Won't someone come in?" She was breathless, turned her head to stare at the door, horrified that once she spoke it it would come to fruition.
Levi's words are muffled against her stomach, "The feast is happening soon. They're heading down to drink."
Which they both knew no one would come to see if Levi wanted a drink. His lips trailed to the waistband of her pants and Elsie continued to stare at the door. She imagined Eren stomping in and seeing Levi, currently pulling her pants down with kisses to her freshly exposed skin across his desk, like this.
Levi's hand shot from the dark and gripped her throat. She gasped in shock and he turned her head, leaning over her to swipe his thumb across her lips, "Other people know how to knock and wait."
Elsie tried to catch his imploring lips but he kissed every part of her face instead, "I waited."
"A second," Levi grumbled in her ear and she shivered, arching, and she whispered his name for attention. Fifteen coins falling from her pant's, having been caught around one ankle and Levi yanking it free, caught his attention. "Who did you rob?"
"Your squad." Elsie reached and caught his neck, dragging him to her bare chest for a long awaited kiss.
He indulged her. He sweeps his tongue across hers and she feels his moan rumble in his throat against her palms, and he rubs against her panty clad inner thighs, and she completely forgets about someone walking in. She looses herself to Levi, and it's completely understandable when his slender fingers drift between her. Her breath caught, he feels it against his cheek, and she spots his sneaky grin as he unbuckles his belt.
"Do I want to know?"
"Not really," She tried to keep focus on his slightly flushed cheeks but his belt leaving is saddening and it thunks to the floor with his pants, which isn't so saddening. But then a lightbulb goes off in her head, having been speaking about the squad. "Levi, is my tea so bad?"
He paused, having been distracted with running his finger along the line of her white panties, and glanced up. He stared, and for a moment she wondered if he had not heard her. But then he said, "No."
Elsie cannot understand, "Then why do you say it's shit all the time?"
Levi surrounds Elsie. He leaned over her and cradled her neck, her legs spreading and she feels him, raw and hard against her, pressing, and her nails leave bloody crescent marks along his side as encouragement for him to take her all.
"You made tea the first time I walked you home and the only excuse I could think of to stay longer when I saw you again was to say it was shit and show you how to make it."
Elsie laughed and it morphed into a moan of pure ecstasy at his sudden thrust into her. Her legs spread and Levi cradled her right thigh against his chest, fingers bruising the tender flesh, and his hand is gentle against her neck. Elsie laced her fingers over his, meeting his grey eyes, and squeezing hard until he put the desirable pressure. His pupils dilated, a groan, a flex of his hand across her leg, and Elsie's head fell back.
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck she's thinking and she must be saying it because Levi thrusts to the rhythm of her words. The formation plans crinkle beneath her, his skin slaps against her's, and her moans aren't as quiet as this morning and they rise when Levi releases her throat to hold both of her legs against his chest.
"Fuck me," Elsie cried out and she clutched the edge of the desk, and one hand shot out to grip Levi's tensing stomach, and maybe it was to stop him because a sudden piercing feeling shot through her and she didn't know if it was going to be incredibly amazing or horribly awful. "Fuck, Levi, Levi-"
He's lost in Elsie. His muscular arms wrap around her knees and he lifts her hips from the desk, and it's ridiculous how wet she sounds against his steady, deep thrusts. Elsie tried to hold her head up, to catch sight of him entering her, but her thighs quack and this unknown coil in her stomach is forming, and Levi is enticingly hitting it. That pesky hair falls between his eyebrows and she can't catch his eyes, he's far too busy biting into her ankles to understand what she's trying to tell him.
"Oh!" Elsie screamed, jerking on the table and legs shaking in Levi's hold, from intense euphoria. It overcame her, suddenly, from Levi's constant strokes and Levi did not relent.
He bent, pressing her into the table, and his hands cradled her neck and he kissed away her moans and whimpers, and her legs felt like noodles and her entire body felt gooey and perfect, each of his furious thrusts sending her closer to another paradise around the corner. His breath was hot and hard in her ear, her name a prayer, repeated and repeated, and her toes curled at his raspy voice.
She felt on the edge of something glorious and Levi grunted, pulling away to step back. Elsie was no innocent and slid to the floor, falling to her shaky knees to grip Levi's thighs. He gasped at her pink lips swallowing his wet, glistening dick, her nose disappearing into the faint black pubic hair that grew.
He fisted her hair, as she knew he would, but he pulled her away like she did not expect, "You don't have too."
"What do you mean?" Elsie is too far gone to care. She opened her mouth and blinked, waiting for him, and his hands have not released her hair.
Levi slowly thrusts into her mouth before gaining confidence. The heels of her feet hit the desk, and Levi spreads his legs to have a better advantage to fucking her mouth, and Elsie hummed every time she felt him hit the back of her throat, tears pooling in her eyes. It only took a minute for him to finish, sweet and salty, and she wiped her mouth and smiled up at him.
Levi kept her hair wrapped in his fist, "I'll never let you go." He said in a daze.
Elsie laid on the couch until Levi decided that he had done all he could for the Scout Regiment. She looked up from the book she'd found, once dressed and able to feel her legs, and it was rather tediously boring about the area around Karanes. At least she wouldn't sound like a foreigner and have to ask for directions.
"Are you finished?" She asked, having allowed him a minute to lean back in his chair - she blushed every time she glanced at his desk - and stare thoughtfully at the future of a hundred souls.
Levi sighed, "For now, yes."
"Perfect, let's go get some food." She wasn't worried about extras being saved. Once seeing Levi hadn't appeared the kitchen staff would've made sure to save enough for him.
It's been hours since they'd left and Elsie isn't surprised to enter a dead silent hallway, some doors open meaning others were downstairs drinking still. She fixed her shirt, as if guilty, and Levi rolled his eyes, "Scared someone will have a noise complaint?"
She blushed furiously, "Well, you didn't tell me to be quiet."
"I didn't want you to be."
Elsie is grateful her hair is down and hid behind it, feeling his intense gaze on the side of her face as they walked to the dining hall. She heard the chatter before they approached and is relieved to have a distraction - if not, surely Levi would take her into Hange's office? - upon entering the dining hall.
Although, she had expected food and a light smattering of people.
Not Jean and Eren tiredly punching each other in the center, all of the Scout Regiment continuing to drink and ignore them.
Mikasa smiled as she sipped her drink and Ymir was three sheets to the wind, red cheeked and sloshing ale over Sasha and Connie, who were in no better mind of state and encouraging the song she was trying to remember. They sang off key together, ignoring Eren's slow winded punch to Jean's heaving shoulder.
Levi reached them before anyone realized he had entered. He swiftly kicked Jean to the ground, and probably to be spiteful, gave Eren a mean undercut that left him on laying on the floor.
"Enough," Levi's deep voice echoed in the hall. "Everyone to bed. We have an early morning."
"Yes, sir!" They chanted.
Jean twitched and heaved, vomiting near Eren's hand.
Levi's lip curled, "And someone clean that up."
"Yes, sir!"
Next chapter: trip to Shiganshina! Yay!
