Chapter 2
Ash and Golly are now four years old, they have decided to leave the island as they head back to their headquarters of Team Alpha, which is located in Pallet Town. A lot of people are gathering around Aurora and Adam.
"Welcome back, Adam, Aurora." The one who greets them is one of the key members of Team Alpha, Professor Samuel Oak. "So this is Ash and Golly?"
"Yes, Professor." Aurora smiles. "Ash, Golly, this is Professor Oak."
Ash and Golly greet the Professor, and Professor Oak smiles, "Both of them really have the features of you two. Now I'm sure everyone is waiting for you inside."
As everyone is celebrating the reunion of Team Alpha, their happy moment doesn't last as Team Rocket ambushes the headquarters. The one who comes in front of them is no other than Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket.
"I hope I'm not late for the party, am I?" Giovanni asks.
"You... Just how many times do I need to tell you that I'm not your slave anymore?" Aurora rolls her eyes. "My loyalty goes to Team Alpha."
"And to think you'll find out this place..." Adam says while turning to another member of Team Alpha. "Lusamine, help me take care of Ash and Golly."
Lusamine nods as she brings Ash and Golly to the basement, and the others all send out their Pokemon and take out their weapons as they begin the fight.
In the basement, Ash asks, "Where are Mom and Dad? Who is that man outside?"
"He's a bad guy." Lusamine says to them. "Your Mom and Dad are trying to chase them away so they can't hurt us."
But much to their horror, there is a spy in Team Alpha, when Lusamine opens the door to the basement, she is holding her gun at Lusamine.
"What is the meaning of this?" Lusamine demands.
"Simple." The spy shows her R emblem and says, "Hand over the children and no one will get hurt."
"Adam and Aurora's orders to me is to protect the children. We're not going to hand them over to you." Lusamine says as the two children hug her tightly.
"Then I'll take it by force!" She sends out Crobat while Lusamine forces to send out Clefable to battle. While they are battling, Ash and Golly can only watch. Just when Lusamine manages to defeat the Crobat with Clefable, the spy tries to shoot at Lusamine.
"No! Don't hurt her!" Just then, Golly suddenly rushes forward, and the bullet goes through her chest, much to Ash and Lusamine, and the spy's horror.
"Golly!" Ash yells with wide eyes, but Golly just falls limp to the ground. Ash gasps in horror as something inside him snaps. "You...you killed her!"
Just then, electricity starts to surge around the boy, Lusamine says, "That's..."
At the same time, Adam and Aurora are fighting as they feel the same surge. Adam says, "Ash..."
"You feel it too, Adam?" Aurora asks, and Adam nods. The two of them quickly defeat the grunts and rushes down the Headquarters, only to see Ash charging at the spy and yell, "DIE!"
The spy is horrified and she tries to shoot at Ash, but Ash dodges all the bullets and takes out a knife, stabbing the spy in her heart until she's dead.
"Lusamine! What's going on?" Aurora asks. But when she sees Golly's dead body, she is horrified.
"I'm sorry, Aurora... I didn't protect her..." Lusamine frowns.
Seeing how Ash just kills a person, Adam rushes towards Ash and hugs him. "That's enough, Ash. You already killed him."
Ash turns back to his senses and he has tears in his eyes, "Dad...Golly, she's..."
"I know..." Adam says while hugging Ash tighter.
After that day, the rest of Team Rocket retreats after being defeated by Team Alpha, however, they lose some people, including Aurora's daughter Golly. Ever since that day, Aurora decides to teach Ash how to fight and how to use weapons, while Adam teaches Ash how to use Aura.
3 years later, Ash decides to attend Professor Oak's Summer Camp, he spots a Poliwag he starts to chase after it.
"Poliwag, where are you?" Ash looks around, but then, he finds a white-haired girl with a straw hat on the ground. He rushes toward the girl and asks, "Are you alright?"
As the boy stops in front of her, he says, "I am Ash. What's wrong?"
The girl looks at her leg with a frown and says, "I hurt my leg..."
Ash notices the blood coming from her knee, then he takes out a handkerchief and then ties it around her knee. "See, it is better, now watch this, Pain Pain go away!" He says as he waves his arms.
The girl tries to move her leg, but she feels pain. "It still hurts..."
Ash takes out his hand and says, "Come on, don't give up until it is over." He pulls her up and holds her in his arms, causing her to blush.
"See, you did it." Ash says while grinning, "Let's get back to the camp."
After that day, Ash decides to bring the girl to his house, it turns out that her name is Alice Mache, and her parents are also members of Team Alpha: Valerie Mache, and Wulfric Urup. Alice also has two sisters, who are called Flora and Eve. According to them, Alice is a shy girl, thus she doesn't have that many friends, so Ash wants to be her first friend. They lived close to the headquarters, so Ash will also visit their house as well.
A few days after with the Summer Camp ended, the Mache Family is going to return to Kalos to watch Team Flare and their own clothing business. Wanting to bid them farewell, Aurora and Ash arrive at Alice's house, Aurora knocks on the door and finds that nobody is answering. "Maybe they're not home..." Aurora frowns. "Valerie? It's me, Aurora. Is anyone home?"
Ash notices the blood on the window as he widens his eyes, and Aurora turns the knob, finds it unlocked, and opens the door. Valerie, Wulfric, Eve, and Flora are on the ground weakly, and Aurora rushes to them.
"What's wrong? Valerie! Wulfric! Eve! Flora!" Aurora tries to shake them, and Valerie weakly says, "Alice...kidnapped..."
"Alice was kidnapped?" Aurora gasps. "Don't worry, I'll call Officer Jenny. Ash, you'll wait here, okay?"
Ash starts to remember 3 years ago how his sister was killed, and he makes up his mind not to let another one get killed. He runs away and Aurora yells, "Ash! Where are you going?"
Ash notices a house, where three people are standing in front of a bound Alice. One man asks, "Hey, are you sure she'll actually sell?"
"Just take a look at her face, looks nice, but she's still just a kid. Doesn't strike my fancy." Another man says.
"I'm not asking about your tastes, we are going to sell her to the Underground market in the capital and auction her off to those old perverts." The boss says.
Alice can only lie on the ground emotionless, "It's so cold..."
Just then, two of the sex traffickers are talking when they hear the door open. Ash is the one coming in and he says, "Excuse me."
"Hold it, kid!" The thug stomps over to him. "How did you find this place?!"
"Er, uh, I got lost in the forest. And then, umm, I saw a cabin, so…" Ash looks a little scared.
The thug looks at his boss, who makes a gesture with his arm that means disposal.
"You know kids shouldn't wander around the forest all alone." he says in a sickly sweet voice, kneeling. "Scary Pokemon lives in the forest, you know."
But just as he is petting Ash, Ash already has a knife in his hand behind him. "But there's nothing to worry about now. We'll be happy to take you—"
Just then, Ash manages to stab the man as he falls to the ground. "Thanks, mister. I already know that, so die, you bastard."
"Huh? What the hell?!" The boss jumps from the seat, and Ash notices it and he quickly slams the door. When the boss opens the door, Ash already tapes the knife on a broomstick and stabs the leader.
"Go to hell! This is what you get! This is what you deserve! Never get up again!" Ash says with an evil smile as he continues to stab both people. Alice is watching the scene and she is shocked to see what Ash has done.
"You're safe, now." Ash turns to Alice, helping her untie the bindings.
"Ash...you've come...but there were three of them..." Alice mutters.
"Huh?" Just then, the third one is back and he notices the two dead bodies. Ash tries to reach the knife, but the sex trafficker kicks the knife and then grabs Ash, trying to strangle him. "Was it you? Was it you who killed 'em?! Was it?!"
Alice watches in horror, trembling. "I'm gonna kill you! You're fucking dead!"
Ash is struggling and he yells, "F-fight! Fight or die! Win and live!"
"What the hell are you thinking, brat?" The man yells.
"The only way to win is to fight!" Alice picks up the knife from the ground, but she's still shaking.
"No... I can't do it..." Alice mutters, but seeing Ash about to pass out, she remembers that she has been living in a cruel world, and she feels her powers awakened and she charges at the man. "Fight!"
"His heart was pierced through the back in a single strike." One officer says to Officer Jenny.
"Those kids did this?" Jenny can only mutter in surprise.
Outside the house, Aurora is scolding Ash. "I told you to wait, did you know what you've done?"
"I got rid of those creatures." Ash replies. "They are using human skin to hide their identities."
"Ash!" Aurora scolds.
"They would've been long gone by the time Officer Jenny arrived! It would've been too late!" Ash says.
"Even so, you were just lucky, Ash!" Aurora says with tears in her eyes. "The way you casually threw your life away is what I'm angry about! What if I lose you just like I lose Golly 3 years ago?"
The mention of Golly's name causes Ash to cry, "But... I don't want her to be like Golly..."
Alice has been shaking by Ash's side, Aurora turns to her and asks, "Alice, are you okay?"
"I'm cold..." Alice mutters.
Ash then takes out a scarf and wraps it around her. "You can keep this. Warm, isn't it?"
"It's warm..." Alice says while touching the soft fabric.
"You two... let's just go home, your parents and your sisters are worried about you, Alice." Aurora says as she grabs two of them and leaves.
Because of the incident, Valerie and Wulfric are forced to stay another day, and when the time that they're about to leave, Alice wants to return the scarf.
"No, you keep it, Alice. You're going back to Kalos and who knows how long I'm going to see you again. I want you to take the scarf so you can remember me..."
"Ash..." Alice smiles, "I will always remember you."
They share another hug before the Mache family leaves, Eve and Flora are also happy for Alice they will tease her about her friendship with Ash.
