Chapter 4
After bringing Dawn and Lillie back to their homes, Ash and Alice are sitting in the plane with Aurora flying it. Ash turns to Alice and asks, "Alice, aren't you going back to Kalos?"
"I called my Mother, and I am going to stay by your side. If you're in Kalos, then I'm in Kalos. If you're in Kanto, then I will be in Kanto. I am not going to leave you again." Alice says.
Ash blushes a little and he asks, "Alice, why is it that you care so much about me?"
"Huh?" Alice asks with confusion.
"Is it because I saved you when you were a kid? Or was it because of something else?" Ash asks.
(Flashback)
In Snowbelle City, Alice rushed toward the forest and found Ash. "Sorry...for leaving so suddenly." Ash muttered.
"Ash, if there's something troubling you, talk to me about it! It can be anything." Alice said. "If I can be any use to you, no matter how little..."
Seeing Ash lowering his head, she said, "I know how you feel, Ash. Back when I failed at my Pokemon Showcase, I wonder I-"
"What do you know about it, Alice?" Ash yelled at her, causing her to be shocked.
"Why don't you talk, then?!" Alice started to yell at him.
"This is my problem. Just leave me be!" Ash yelled while turning away.
Alice was angry as she picked up a snowball and threw it at Ash. "The Ash I know is always full of energy and a leader, works hard, is optimistic, and never gives up until the end! So I..."
Alice continued to throw snowballs at Ash until he fell to the ground. "Right now, you're not yourself at all."
Alice ran away with tears in her eyes, and Ash was just lying there, "Not myself..."
A few minutes later, Alice huffed as she walked back to her house, with Clemont, Bonnie, Eve, and Flora worried about her. "Alice, where have you-" Eve tried to ask, but Alice just ignored her.
"I don't care." Alice huffed.
"But what about Ash?" Pikachu asked her.
"I don't care." Alice turned away.
"The blizzard is coming..." Flora said as she looked at the sky.
Alice let out a scream and yelled, "Ah, geez! I get it already!" She rushed outside and Bonnie asked, "Alice, what's wrong?"
"I have to bring Ash back here before the weather gets rough, even if it means I have to use force!" Alice said. "It's dangerous out there, after all!"
"You're not going alone, we'll come too!" Eve said.
"Me too!" Bonnie added.
"Wait, Bonnie!" Clemont said. "Eve, you too!" Flora added.
And a few minutes later, the five of them were gathering around the fire. Alice frowned, "I hope he's safe."
"He's fine, Alice." Bonnie cheered her.
"Yeah, it is Ash that we're talking about." Flora said.
"But earlier, I just lost my cool and said something horrible to Ash..." Alice frowned. "But that's because...To me, Ash is someone I admire..."
Once they found Ash, Ash said, "Everyone, I'm sorry."
Alice walked towards him. "Ash..."
"Thank you, Alice. Your words were my wake-up call." Ash smiled at her.
Alice smiled back and said, "Welcome back, Ash!"
(Flashback End)
"I...well I..." Alice is blushing a little as she tries to hide it with her scarf.
"And the kiss that you gave me from the escalator, I've also been thinking about it. To me, you've really become more and more attractive." Ash says.
Alice is now panicking as she starts to feel a little dizzy, Ash is confessing to her, but not in a direct way. Noticing Alice is about to pass out, Ash asks, "Alice? Are you okay?"
"I'm just a little too hot..." Alice says.
"Wouldn't you feel a bit cooler if you took off the scarf on your neck?" Ash asks.
"I'm fine." Alice says while holding the scarf. "That's because...both the scarf and the blue ribbon are from you... And to answer your question...because you're family..."
"Family, huh?" Ash lets out a smile. "You already have two loving sisters and parents. So may I interpret that..."
Ash whispers in her ear, "Iron Tail?"
Alice finally faints in shock, and Ash can only sigh as he lets her lie on his lap while waiting for the private jet to arrive at Sevestar Island.
Once they arrive at Sevestar Island, Adam is already waiting for them in their own castle. Ash says, "This is actually the place where I was born, Alice."
"This place is beautiful." Alice says in awe as she looks around.
Adam and Aurora share a hug before turning to Ash and Alice. "I see that Alice is here as well, I get you to have your parents' permission?"
Alice says, "Yes, Mr. Ketchum. After what happened to Ash back in Kanto, I'm not going to leave him, I want to protect him."
Ash says, "Yeah, and Mom, Dad. Alice and I are a couple now..."
Aurora and Adam blink in surprise, before Aurora smiles, "I know there is something happening to you two since that summer camp."
"Indeed, it reminds me of us when we were younger." Adam says while turning to Aurora. "Speaking of which, I trust that Team Rocket is finally gone for good?"
"Don't worry, I killed Giovanni, he's not going to be the threat. However, he is just a pawn, like the other Team Leaders that Ash has killed." Aurora says.
"Indeed. The real culprit behind this is the governments of the 8 regions." Adam frowns. "Each of them is guilty and they have been feeding people with lies and have been greedy."
"No doubt after the attack of Team Rocket, they will probably be trying to get rid of us Team Alpha." Aurora frowns. "What are we going to do then?"
"We will have to gather every member of Team Alpha, and we'll going to have to discuss it." Adam says.
Ash asks, "Dad. Can I finally become a member of Team Alpha? I mean, all this time I have been training in the 8 regions and I got the second place in the World Championship."
Adam says, "I don't see a reason not to. But tell me, why do you want to become a member of Team Alpha?"
"It is simple. I want to become the very best like no one ever was, and I also want to avenge Golly..." Ash says, "No, there are also people like Golly that are being slaughtered outside the world, and I want to save them as well!"
Alice says, "If Ash is going to join, I want to join in as well."
"Alice, you'll need to get your parent's permission." Aurora says, "But I can help you ask them. After all, Valerie and I have been best friends."
Adam says, "Ash, Alice, follow me. I'll show you what I'm doing during these years."
Ash is getting a little nervous, even though Adam had been teaching Ash how to use Aura, he didn't come home often, and usually, it was he and his mother. And right now Adam is showing what he has been doing, he can't miss the whole thing.
When they enter the basement of the castle, Ash and Alice are surprised to see a lot of things hidden there. There is the Mewtwo Armor that was stolen from Team Rocket, the GS Ball that holds the Mythical Pokemon Celebi, two suits that were made by Team Magma and Alpha to interact with Kyogre and Groudon, the Red Chain made back in from Team Galactic, the Colress Machine that uses EM waves to bring out the Pokemon's Potential, the device that connects the Ultra Wormholes, and the tubes with Wishing stars inside.
"What the... Dad? Where did you get all of these?" Ash asks.
"They are replicated from the evil teams that you've destroyed, or donated from other key members." Adam says.
"If each one represents a region... the only thing that isn't here is something from Kalos..." Alice says.
"That's because I've been using it." Adam opens the door, and much to Ash and Alice's shock, they see a body lying on top of a machine. And much to Ash's shock, even though the body seems to belong to a person the same age as him, Ash recognizes the body in front of them.
"Golly!" Ash asks in shock. "But...how...what just..."
Adam sighs, "This is the machine we managed to steal from Team Flare... they called it the Ultimate Weapon."
"The Ultimate Weapon?" Ash and Alice have never heard of the weapon from Team Flare. They remember that Team Flare was trying to control Zygarde and also Ash's Bond Phenomenon Greninja. And then they have Marin's Chespie to power up a Megalith.
"Before you two were born, Team Flare tried to use the Ultimate Weapon for their goal, they didn't need Zygarde, but Xerneas and Yveltal." Adam says. "However, Team Alpha destroyed their original base in Geosenge Town and we took the machine with us."
Aurora says, "According to the files that we saw, with Xerneas' powers, the machine can revive a human or a Pokemon from death. With Yveltal's power, it can create destruction that ends an ancient war."
"So all this time, you've been trying to revive Golly from the dead?" Ash asks, "Will it work? Will Golly be back to life?"
Adam says, "We have been trying for 14 years, and so far, the body is growing just like a normal human. The only problem is Golly's soul... Yveltal and Giratina haven't found her soul yet."
"No way..." Ash frowns. Just then, Pikachu jumps towards the machine, Ash asks, "Pikachu? What are you doing?"
"Ash... I guess it is time for me to finish my purpose." Pikachu says as his eyes are glowing, and so is the body of Golly. The light blinds all of them until it fades away.
"Pikachu... what did you just do?" Ash asks with confusion.
Before Pikachu can answer, they hear coughing as they see Golly slowly waking up. "Golly!"
When Adam helps Golly to sit, he asks, "Are you okay? Golly?"
Golly is slowly breathing and she says, "I'm fine...I'm glad to be back in my body... I'm sorry to make you worry, Brother, Mom, Dad..."
The four of them have a hug, and Golly turns to Alice, "And I'm glad that my sometimes stupid brother has finally had a girlfriend."
Ash winces at the insult, but there are more important things to ask, "So Pikachu, how did you do it? How did you find Golly's soul?"
Golly says, "I have never left you guys. After I was shot, my soul has been with Ho-Oh and I was watching you guys. When my brother finally started his journey, Ho-oh decided to bring my soul to Pikachu, so that I can still be by my brother's side."
"Seriously... you have been by my side this whole time and you never told me about this?" Ash asks in shock. "But now that you have left Pikachu, what will happen to him?"
Golly says, "Without me, Pikachu's powers will be weakened into a normal Pikachu's strength. Team Rocket has been trying to steal Pikachu, which is actually because they knew my powers were enhancing Pikachu's strength..."
Ash can't believe what he's hearing, he turns to Pikachu and asks, "Are you sure you're fine with this?"
"Maybe I can't beat a Regice or Tapu Koko again, but I'm still your partner." Pikachu says.
"You're right." Ash smiles as he hugs his Pikachu, Alice also smiles at Ash fondly.
