Chapter 1432
I Will Get Them
Cameron didn't want to bother Leticia any more before morning. She used her com to call Jim to have Hanna and Ally come and replace her. She wanted to have someone watch over Leticia until morning. It was almost there. Sunrise wasn't too far off.
She knew at some point Holly, Cam and Camille would need to be with their human lovers so she didn't bother them.
Cameron left Leticia's suite once Hanna and Ally arrived. She gave them a brief run down as to what happened. She didn't want a relapse or for Leticia to 'slip away' unnoticed. They both seemed very concerned. They mentioned they were aware Jesse needed CPR more than a few times.
She felt she left Leticia in good hands.
The reminder Jesse still 'pushed herself' bothered her. She would look into it more. She didn't believe Jesse would want to 'push it' once she was given a child by Young Jesse. She doubted she still 'pushed it' since she'd been nursing Precious. She hoped to have her visit John at some point as well. She wanted to remind Jesse there was more than the darkness on the 'other side'.
Cameron entered the private area and listened to any activity occurring in the three suites.
The Honeymoon Suite was the closest suite.
It seemed Vanna and Young Jesse were with each other. She went to the spare bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite and entered. She quietly made her way to the main bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite. She could hear Vanna and Young Jesse together. She slowly peeked one eye around the corner and watched them.
She could tell just by the sounds from the two girls it was different than just sex. They were at a much deeper level. Young Jesse seemed to be totally in love with Vanna. She would liked to have seen the same level of love for John from either of the girls. It wasn't there to the same depth. It was shared feeling and emotion in its purest form. It was beautiful to see and listen to.
Previously Allison and Vanna allowed her to 'observe' them together more than a few times. The girls hoped she would join them. It allowed her to see how she was 'supposed' to react to the different ways she could be touched and stimulated. She was aware her responses weren't the same as theirs. It was clear they could both feel more.
Once they were at the base, she hoped to see Young Jesse and Savannah together. She didn't think it would be the same as she'd witnessed right now with Vanna.
Cameron watched a little longer and moved on. She'd seen all of the girls together with the other girls. She'd even watched Jesse and Riley before. She felt they both could offer a lot in bed. It was clear Jesse could offer more.
She went back through the spare bedroom and exited into the private area.
She moved to the Owner's Suite and listened.
It was quiet inside. Maybe John was resting.
She moved down to the Master Suite and listened.
Cam, Camille and Holly were in there. She wasn't sure where Allison was.
Maybe she was with John. She hadn't heard anything happening in the Owner's Suite. She hadn't looked yet either. They could both be asleep.
There was a slight twinge in her left hand but it was very brief. It didn't repeat or get worse.
She entered the Control Center.
Jim looked over at her. He'd received a complete update from CamNet and John Henry about the full extent of the operations tonight. It seemed everything was successfully resolved.
Cameron was about to ask where Allison was at.
"CamNet has an update for you." Jim said. "It's quite extensive."
Cameron wanted to check in on John first.
"I'll be back." Cameron said.
Jim quickly looked away when she reached for the door handle into the Owner's Suite.
Cameron noticed. Maybe Allison was in there with John.
She carefully opened the door and entered. She listened and could hear the sheets rustling on the bed.
She moved up and peeked one eye around the corner.
A glitch impulse shot through her hand.
John and Allison were together. They were all over each other. It was slow and soft. It was why she hadn't heard them when she'd passed by on the outside earlier. She wasn't even sure what they were doing. It looked intense to watch. It reminded her of watching Sheila and Leticia make love. They'd done it at some point instead of just having sex. It was what she saw here. John and Allison were making love. They were sharing each other, not just their bodies. It wasn't something she'd ever done with John. It was a connection at an emotional level of feeling she didn't have. It was superior to her abilities. She would only be able to emulate it.
She didn't feel jealous at all. She felt sad. It made her feel like a failure. It was the human interaction she'd denied John all these years. It was the level of caring and sharing he needed to have to be a true leader and respect all human life. She'd prevented him from reaching his true potential. It was part of her mission. Future John wanted John with the two females he needed to function. Her mission failed until now. It was still uncertain how things would progress going forward.
She moved away from the doorway and went back towards the Control Center. She worried her 'interaction' with Future John stifled his progress. Was it her fault the Resistance took heavy human losses? Was she responsible for the rise of the anti-Metal faction? No wonder Future John banished her. No wonder he erased most of her life.
She remembered the time Sarah asked her why she was there in the past and not still with Future John. It was something which always troubled her. She'd already asked herself the same question many times. The only answer she could come up with was she wasn't good enough. She didn't want to think about it right now.
It was her fault Future John lost Future Allison. He lost the personal human connection she'd just witnessed in the bedroom of the Owner's Suite. It was the same two people, even if they weren't from the same timeline.
She would give Savannah one more chance to 'step up'. If she didn't, she planned to try Young Allison. If it didn't fly, she would let Allison and Vanna have first choice. She would try Young Jesse, Jesse and Claire too. She wanted John to have as much human interaction as possible, at least every other day. She hoped it would be a different female every other night. It would provide John with a broader experience. It would be less likely for him to get 'hung up' on one person. She knew if he did, it would be when the 'trouble' would start.
It was why Future John sent her back. She wasn't supposed to marry John. Savannah and Young Allison were to be the ones at John's side. The answer was there all along and she knew it. She was right in all her early attempts to draft Vanna and Allison to take those roles. Now they shared a taste and it looked like Allison liked it. It was clear John did.
Cameron was startled when the door in front of her opened.
"I need to get the breakfast carts ready." Jim said. "You can update with CamNet while I do."
Cameron wondered how long she'd been standing there thinking about all of the problems in the future she must have created. She really wondered how much of it was her fault, in one way or another.
She needed to get it together.
"The Metal girls in the Master Suite can assist you." Cameron said. "I'll get them."
Jim thought he could do everything himself.
"I can take care of it all." Jim said. "There's no need to disturb them."
Cameron glanced over towards the connecting door to the Master Suite. They could always assist later on.
"Get started." Cameron said. "I'll check things out real quick."
She looked at the cable to plug in and update. She entered the spare bedroom of the Master Suite instead. She moved through the main part of the Master Suite to the bedroom. She peeked one eye around the corner.
The three Metal girls were sharing much the same way John and Allison were and Vanna and Young Jesse did. She knew it was because of their constant exposure and interaction with their human lovers.
There was a sense of guilt which flooded over her. She'd taken their virginity from them. They all loved her, so they'd allowed her to 'steal' it from them. She saw now how selfish it was of her. She was caught up in the moment and took what she knew wasn't hers to take. She'd still done it anyway.
Maybe she should run a temporal mission and prevent this week from ever happening. She didn't know if it would create a new timeline or not.
She left the Metal girls with each other. She wondered how she mentally scarred each one of them with what she'd done. What would haunt them going forward based upon what she'd done to them.
She went back to the Control Center. She plugged in. She spotted Jim outside the private area. He was joined by Sheila, Ally and Hanna. She saw Gail look out the door from Leticia's room before Jim left with the Metal girls. They all wore their maid's outfits. They were the proper outfits too.
Cameron felt ashamed of a lot of things. When the Terminators needed to act, they did. They all did their jobs when required. She'd stolen their virginity too. They all allowed her to do it. She remembered the trauma it caused Sheila. It was her fault. It seemed a lot of things were her fault.
She needed to refocus. She wanted some answers from CamNet.
'I want all the details of everything that's happened while I've been on the ship.' Cameron communicated.
'It would be best to wait until you're back at the base.' CamNet communicated.
'I have the time now to get caught up.' Cameron communicated.
'I must insist you wait.' CamNet communicated.
'Are you telling ME what to do?' Cameron communicated.
'I am telling you what is best for you.' CamNet communicated.
'Were you with Savannah?' Cameron communicated.
'Private matters are not part of operations.' CamNet communicated.
'YOU were….' Cameron communicated.
'I will not acknowledge it.' CamNet communicated.
'Start from when I got on the ship and don't leave anything out.' Cameron communicated.
'You should wait for Savannah or Young Allison to be available.' CamNet communicated.
'Just do it.' Cameron communicated.
Dan and Frank were on the way to the port with the van. They were going to be short a few vehicles to get everyone away from the port. They might need to charter a 'party bus' to transport everyone. CamNet could make it happen. CamNet would pay people five times what they wanted and get the task done with a smile. It seemed to work every time. There was plenty of Syndicate and Cartel money to throw around.
Savannah wanted Young Allison back at home. She'd faced enough unnecessary danger the last few days. It all came back on her for allowing it to happen. How would she have explained it to Claire if something would have happened to Young Allison?
Cammy and Savannah discussed what Savannah wanted done. Cammy didn't agree but communicated to Ken and Lou what would be done.
Savannah sat next to Young Allison. She could tell she was tired. She was beat herself. She pulled Young Allison against her and rested her head on the front of her shoulder above her left breast.
Young Allison tilted her head up and looked at her. There were a million emotions in her head. Her heart overflowed with feeling. There was still one thing which seemed to dominate everything. She needed to address it. It bothered her immensely. It wasn't as much what could have happened, as to why it would have happened.
"I thought you were going to die earlier." Young Allison said.
Savannah thought it was a real possibility. She didn't want Young Allison troubled by it. She would try to downplay everything.
"I didn't." Savannah said. "It's what matters."
Young Allison knew Savannah went on her own so she didn't need to do it. She didn't want to be responsible for Savannah's death. She didn't want to be responsible for the death of anyone she cared about and loved.
"You can't die for me." Young Allison said. "Do you know how it would make me feel if you did?"
Savannah thought it would make her feel a lot worse if she died. She did understand what Young Allison meant though. It would be the same for her if anyone died in her place. The guilt and remorse would be overpowering.
She needed to be honest with herself. She didn't think it was going to end well for her earlier. She still went anyway because the 'job' needed to be done. What kind of a life was this? Was it all payback for what Skynet took from her? No wonder she must become the 'Redheaded Witch' in the future.
The concept of the 'Redheaded Witch' bothered her immensely. She was known as the 'Evil One' as well. She didn't know what was possible in other futures or further futures. She didn't know if it was possible if she was some type of Liquid Metal Terminator or something more extreme. The enemy feared her worse than death. She could only think of one thing which would make her so vengeful. It would be if something happened to Young Allison or Cameron. maybe it was both of them. She knew if something ever did happen to either of them, the enemy would need to pay. She would collect any way she could. She felt Young Allison next to her right now. She needed to protect her. She planned to live up to the reputation of the 'Redheaded Witch' if things ever went wrong.
The Terminators in the Blackhawk didn't listen to the conversation. It was a very private conversation for the girls.
Anna punched Cammy in the leg for not turning her hearing down.
Cammy didn't like it. She liked to know what Savannah did.
Anna thought it was out of line. She wanted Young Allison to have her privacy.
"You can't interfere with them." Anna said. "You know it."
Cammy loved Savannah. She knew that Bitch, Cameron, would take Savannah away from her one day.
"I love her." Cammy said.
Anna said what Cammy didn't want to hear.
"Sacrifice is the true test of love." Anna said.
Cammy frowned. She wanted to remind Anna it was a two way street.
"You remember that when it's your turn to sacrifice." Cammy said.
Anna nodded at Savannah and Young Allison. The future was right in front of her. It was in front of both of them.
"I remember it right now." Anna said. "I remember it everyday."
The well being and happiness of Young Allison came before her needs or desires. She didn't point out Cammy was able to share with Savannah on a regular basis. She was unable to share with Young Allison at all. She felt she'd sacrificed a lot already.
The Blackhawk was on its way to Palmdale.
Young Allison's Detail gathered half the weapons from the helicopter. They were light on weapons after they needed to give up both of their SUVs. The teams who'd borrowed the SUVs may need them.
There would be two vehicles waiting for them at the airport. CamNet made sure of it.
They neared their destination.
Young Allison looked up at Savannah with her big brown eyes wide open. It melted Savannah's heart to see it. Her eyes were so beautiful.
"Will you stay with me?" Young Allison asked.
Savannah understood it to be more than a casual stay like normal. Young Allison wanted to be with her.
CamNet contacted Savannah about possible trouble with Cameron because of the week long operational update. She told CamNet to keep it minimal by her authority. If anyone pushed it, it was to be an order. It was only if it needed to be. She turned her attention back to Young Allison.
"I need to take care of a few things." Savannah said.
Young Allison frowned. Savannah mattered too.
"You need to take care of yourself as well." Young Allison said.
Savannah thought about the condition of her body. She's really been pushing it hard the last few weeks. She didn't want Young Allison to worry.
"I will." Savannah said.
The girls held onto each other as they flew back to Palmdale. They didn't need to say anything. They felt it instead. There was a reassurance about life as they held each other. There was still something good in life waiting for them.
Savannah felt Ken throttle back some and the Blackhawk started its descent. He set it down smoothly. There were two SUVs parked next to where he landed.
Brian and Randy got into one with some of the weapons. Mel and Anna went to the other one. Cammy remained in the helicopter doorway.
Savannah got out with Young Allison. They moved away from the Blackhawk and went in between the two SUV's.
Young Allison felt she needed to say something.
"Thank you for allowing me to help you." Young Allison said.
Savannah would have preferred if she hadn't been there. Circumstances dictated otherwise. They'd been together in combat scenarios twice this week. Both times she'd needed Young Allison's assistance. Somehow it seemed like more than chance.
"Thank you for being there for me." Savannah said. "It's not the life I want for you."
Young Allison knew they were in a deadly business.
"It's not the life I want for you either." Young Allison said.
Young Allison was ready to go into the past. Maybe Savannah and her could just stay there and live their lives out together. Cammy and Anna could stay with them. Cameron could too.
Savannah could see Young Allison contemplate several different possibilities. She wanted her to think real hard about some of them.
"Be careful what you wish for." Savannah said.
Young Allison could see combat operations could go in any direction and things which seemed set could change in an instant. She still needed to say a few things. They were important.
"I really thought I was never going to see you again." Young Allison said. "I knew when you didn't look back at me you weren't going to come back."
Savannah didn't look back because she would have buckled.
"I couldn't have gone on if I would've looked back at you." Savannah said. "I love you."
Young Allison hugged Savannah and clung tightly to her.
"I love you too, Savannah." Young Allison said.
Their faces inched closer together and their lips touched.
Young Allison wanted Savannah to be with her and share with her before one of them was killed or hurt.
"I want to share everything with you, before it's too late." Young Allison said.
Savannah didn't want her to think like that. It seemed like a real possibility. She'd thought it was going to be over a few hours ago. It wasn't.
"I need to go." Savannah said.
They hugged again.
Young Allison made another plea. She didn't want there to be any gray area. It was very black and white to her.
"We could have died tonight." Young Allison said. "Please think about us and what our future is."
Savannah turned back and gave Young Allison another quick kiss.
"I do everyday." Savannah said.
Young Allison watched Savannah go back to the Blackhawk. Cammy waited there for her. It made her wonder what Savannah thought about when she was with someone else who looked like she would one day. The 'one day' was soon.
Cammy looked right at her and closed the door. The power plant throttled up and the Blackhawk lifted off. It flew directly over them and soon disappeared into the night sky.
Mel got out of the SUV.
"Would you like to drive?" Mel asked.
Anna opened the rear door.
Young Allison could see Anna wanted to reaffirm their closeness
"Not right now, thank you." Young Allison said.
She entered the back seat with Anna. She moved over and took Anna in her arms. Anna held her back the same way.
The two SUV's departed from the airport.
Anna held Young Allison. It was the human side of Young Allison reaching out. She was aware Young Allison wanted to be with Savannah more than anything. She wasn't even sure if she was a close second. She didn't want her to worry.
"We'll be home soon." Anna said.
Young Allison sat up in a short while.
"I'm fine." Young Allison said.
Anna knew it was what they all said….
Savannah entered the Blackhawk and Cammy closed the door. Ken and Lou looked back to make sure she was situated. Cammy sat next to her. The Blackhawk lifted off a few seconds later.
Savannah watched the two SUV's pass underneath them. They were soon lost in the distance.
Cammy could see the writing on the wall. She knew everyone could. She looked at Savannah. She told her what she believed.
"She needs you." Cammy said.
Savannah knew it was true. She wasn't sure she was ready to take Young Allison down the path of the future.
"I know." Savannah said. "It will change both of our lives."
Cammy understood what it meant. She was aware how time would affect any relationship. Time would allow the relationship to expand in some places as it narrowed in others.
"For the first year or two maybe it will." Cammy said. "Things will open back up afterwards. She still needs to expand her heart. It is something we all did. It will make her stronger. Everyone has something to offer."
Cammy knew sometimes she was 'Allison', 'Future Allison' or 'Cameron' to Savannah. When they shared she could tell as she scanned Savannah when she was 'someone else' to her.
Savannah didn't really want to discuss it. Everything could change in an instant. Future plans were just plans. There was no guarantee they would play out.
"I don't know what will happen." Savannah said. "Nobody does."
Cammy wanted Savannah to rest.
"Lay down for a little bit." Cammy said.
Savannah didn't want to lose focus.
"I'm fine." Savannah said.
Cammy scanned Savannah when she held her. She knew it was what they all said….
Cameron was shocked at the extent of what happened in her absence. She was even more dismayed to know it wasn't all the details either by Savannah's 'suggestion'. It would become an 'order' if it was challenged. She needed to respect Savannah's wishes on what happened.
It didn't hit her as hard as she thought it would because she figured as much from what she did find out. It appeared to have been an eventful week in more ways than one for everyone.
She was pleased the anti-Metal group took a big hit. Maybe she rushed it a little with the girls. She didn't feel she had when she thought about it. She helped and allowed them all to 'grow'.
Allison was in love with John for real. Young Jesse was in love with John because he was her 'first'. They both carried his child as well. Vanna was a little freer of the demons from her past. It meant something to her.
Cameron looked out of the balcony door. The sun would be up soon. It looked like it would be in about forty three minutes.
She noticed Holly, Cam and Camille were out in the private area. It looked as if they'd come to collect their human lovers.
Allison exited the Owner's Suite. She looked at Holly and turned back around and reached back inside the Owner's Suite. It was probably to give John a parting kiss.
Cam and Camille entered the Honeymoon Suite together. Cam and Vanna emerged soon after. She saw Vanna look at the Owner's Suite door and then back at the door of the Honeymoon Suite.
Cameron wondered who Vanna would choose if she had a choice.
Cam paused and offered Vanna the choice to go into the Owner's Suite. Vanna hesitated. It was clear she'd thought about it. She gave Cam a kiss and took her hand and followed Allison and Holly into the Master Suite.
Cameron smiled when she watched it all. Everyone was back where they 'belonged'. She planned to make John's life a little better going forward.
She listened in and heard John use the restroom.
She was done with the update. She unplugged and quietly entered the Owner's Suite through the pass door. She made her way to the bedroom. John was back in bed. She stripped down and slid in bed next to him. She snuggled up close to him.
John already dozed off. He stirred a little.
"I'm back." Cameron whispered.
He looked over and gave her a kiss.
Cameron's eyes opened wide as John kissed her. She was able to experience something new. It was 'Allison'! She deepened the kiss.
"Cameron?" John asked.
She held him tighter. It was clear he'd thought she was Allison, back for more.
"I can say the one and only, most of the time." Cameron said.
John held her tighter.
"I love you, Cameron." John said. "Thank you for everything."
She looked in John's eyes and touched his cheek.
"Everyone has something different to offer." Cameron said. "I want you to remember it going forward. I want you to grow."
John wasn't sure what it actually meant.
"So what happened on the ship doesn't have to stay on the ship?" John asked.
Cameron smiled and gave him another kiss.
"No." Cameron said. "It's what I tried to provide for you all along. I want the best for you. I love you, John."
John was pleased at what Cameron provided and orchestrated. He really wondered how much heartache he could have saved her over the years if he'd just listened to her….
His life sure would have been better, especially for all the times Cameron was gone for months or years at a time. He did have to admit what Cameron did on the cruise went a long way to make up for all of it. He'd really given 'Rosie Palm' a workout all the times she'd been away.
If what happened on the ship didn't need to stay there, it looked like 'Rosie' was retired forever. He really didn't know what would happen going forward. He was anxious to see what else Cameron would make available to him. He didn't think he needed to look for anything on his own. If Cameron wanted it to happen, it would happen. It was clear she wanted everything which occurred on the ship to happen or it wouldn't have. He had a feeling he was just getting warmed up. It appeared 'Little Willy' was in for quite a workout going forward.
Mel was on a curved street a few miles from the house.
Young Allison looked around.
"Where are Brian and Randy?" Young Allison asked.
She was usually able to spot the other part of her Detail's SUV when they went around the curved street.
Mel used his com.
"They haven't responded." Mel said.
Anna quickly checked her phone. She wondered if something happened. Whatever something was different from normal, there was a reason.
"We've passed them." Anna said.
Young Allison knew it wasn't right. Red flags begin to go off in her head.
"Something's wrong." Young Allison said. "Get off this street."
Anna received new information. It was welcome news under the circumstances.
"We have drone support." Anna said. "I've received drone images."
Mel made a quick right turn followed by several more.
Young Allison checked her weapons.
"I have them." Mel said. "There was an incident."
Young Allison wondered exactly what happened.
"Are they OK?" Young Allison asked. "Is anyone hurt?"
Anna checked to see why they didn't know of the deviation.
"CamNet redirected them for a few minutes." Anna said.
Young Allison wanted to support them. She was still keyed up from the earlier activity at the anti-Metal group's base.
"Let's back them up." Young Allison said.
Mel headed in their direction.
Anna found out a drone orbiting them spotted a female running and hiding from two males. They were both armed with knives. CamNet was alerted and directed the drone fire two shots and killed both of the perpetrators. She asked Brian and Randy to take care of the 'problem' and toss the bodies in a dumpster.
They were finished now and passed by Mel. He turned to fall into line behind them again. They headed back for the Young residence.
Young Allison was very disturbed about what happened. Why didn't the police do anything about crime? Why did the justice system think the perpetrators didn't need to be punished for their actions against others? Why were the victims treated like whatever happened to them was their own fault?
"What about the female?" Young Allison asked.
Anna was fed additional drone footage. She showed it to Young Allison. It showed the female run into a convenience store. She was bottomless and only wore one shoe. She held her ripped pants in her hand.
Young Allison cringed a little at her appearance. The missing pants said it all.
"It looks like she was abused." Young Allison said.
CamNet indicated everything was taken care of.
"The authorities can handle it from here." Anna said. "CamNet has sent an ambulance to assist. She can be taken to a hospital if necessary."
Young Allison didn't like what just happened. It was another attack on a homeless female most likely. She was someone's daughter. She had a mother and father.
They reached the house seven minutes later. Brian and Randy already checked the outside of the house when they pulled up.
Anna opened the front door and turned off the alarm. Mel went in first and headed for the bunker. Anna and Young Allison checked the house. Everything was secure. Mel indicated the bunker was clear and went through the tunnel to the Detail house next door.
Young Allison started to go to the bunker.
Anna reached out and gently stopped her.
"It's enough for now." Anna said. "You need to get cleaned up and get some sleep."
Young Allison wasn't really tired at this point. There were several things on her mind, including the most recent incident.
"I want to know the condition of the female." Young Allison said.
Anna wanted things to go forward.
"Get cleaned up and I'll have the information when you're done." Anna said. "I can make you something to eat."
Young Allison hadn't even thought of any food. She could see how Savannah missed so many meals. She checked the time. It was only about half an hour until sunrise. It was time to alter the events.
"Let me stow my gear and we're going out for my run." Young Allison said. "We can catch the sunrise."
Anna didn't look pleased with the news.
"We just got home." Anna said. "You've been up all night."
Young Allison wanted to push herself.
"I want you to quiz me too and make me think about things I need to really think about or work out." Young Allison said. "This is where I can challenge myself for real."
Anna didn't like the idea.
"What about some food?" Anna asked.
Young Allison was aware the future was going to be brutal. A missed meal or two now didn't mean a thing.
"I can push it a little." Young Allison said. "What doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger."
Anna smiled. Savannah told her it what Young Allison was going to do when they got home. She said it would actually help her to decompress. She really wondered how much Young Allison would repress anyway. It was probably going to be a lot.
Summer returned to the Command Center and checked on the conclusion of everything. She wanted to make sure everything was wrapped up before she rested.
"Thank you for your assistance." John Henry said. "I couldn't have done everything without you."
Summer thought her actions were a little forward. She knew quite a few people died tonight because of her involvement. It didn't bother her. It was their actions, their decisions and their choices which put those people where they died. It wasn't on her.
"I was in the right place at the right time." Summer said. "I simply did what needed to be done, when it needed to be done."
John Henry would like to cultivate her abilities.
"I would like to work with you further." John Henry said.
Summer didn't want any trouble from her mother.
"You know my restrictions." Summer said.
John Henry wanted John to know the part everyone played.
"I'll inform the General when he returns later today about the contribution of everyone." John Henry said.
Summer wanted them to think of her based on her ability.
"I'm available when I'm needed." Summer said. "Remember, only my body is that of a young woman. I'm far beyond most people."
John Henry thought her physical description was pushing it a little bit. It would be a more fitting description of Young Allison. Then again, they were only a few years apart.
Summer checked everything over, including where Young Allison and Savannah were.
John Henry didn't know it was Summer who sent the drone down to kill the two men who were chasing the female who appeared to have been abused. She'd even asked CamNet to have Brian and Randy quietly dispose of the bodies. She'd hoped to slip it by Young Allison. Young Allison was very attentive and always on the ball. She knew she wouldn't be able to slip too much past her on anything.
Summer left the Command Center and went to bed. She made sure her com was in when she went to sleep.
Soon the comforting voices came at night to instruct and guide her. They were very reassuring and soothing to her. Her sleep was sound as knowledge flowed into her mind. She could organize it faster in her sleep than it was transmitted.
The female Fanatic left Jill behind and went down the new junction passageway. She turned the light on her phone on to see. The passageway was a little longer than the other one. She could see it opened into a cavern as well. There was more bad news inside of it.
There were three HK Tracks parked inside. What was a little concerning about it was two of them were side by side. There was an empty spot and then the third one. It appeared one of them was missing. Maybe it was the one out on patrol.
Her biggest concern right now was if any of the other ones would become active. It was possible they were on some type of rotating patrol schedule. Her presence may trigger some type of reaction among the other three in the cavern.
She didn't know if the Grays inside the mine wore a transponder or not. There needed to be some type of recognition device to separate the 'friendlies' from the 'enemies'. She didn't think it was based on facial recognition. It was possible.
It didn't seem to her the three truck drivers would have the transponder. It was possible they did since there were HK Tracks in the back of the truck she arrived in. None of them were actually moved into the back of the trucks on their own. They'd all been loaded by the big forklift.
She could hear the sound of running feet and see a light moving back and forth through the passageway she'd just traversed. She hoped it was Jill.
Moments ago:
Jill was at the junction between the main passageway and the branch off to the side.
She checked in both directions every few seconds. She remained within the branch passageway the majority of the time. She would only poked her head out slightly to take a look.
It wasn't long until she heard the metallic noise again. She figured the machine was on its way back. She didn't know what it was. She remembered Jackie told her if she could see it, it could see her. It was time to warn her.
Jill ran down the passageway. She turned on the light of her phone to see. She didn't want to fall down a shaft.
She reached the cavern a short time later. She was a little surprised at what she saw as she neared. There were three big machines in there. They were different from the other two she'd seen earlier.
She didn't see Jackie.
"Jackie, the machine is coming back. I can hear it." Jill said.
The female Fanatic emerged from in back of one of the HK Tracks.
"How close is it?" The female Fanatic asked.
Jill looked at the three big machines.
"I could only hear it." Jill said. "I didn't want it to see me. Is it one of these things? What are they?"
The female Fanatic didn't want to get into too much detail.
"It's one of these things." The female Fanatic said. "They're like the other machines but they don't fly. They can only drive on the ground."
Jill could see an encounter with one would be deadly. There were guns on them too. It looked like it could run them down as well.
"Are we going to try to make a break for it or hide here?" Jill asked. "I don't think we can outrun it if it sees us. These things look deadly."
The more Jill looked at them, she thought about what she'd seen with the other two machines which could fly. It made her wonder exactly what it all was. It looked like something which would be Top Secret. She didn't think it was a government program because of the way the other men treated her. She heard them talk about the world blowing up. They sounded like terrorists to her. Jackie was trying to stop them. She'd watched her kill two of them.
The female Fanatic knew their options were limited. If they went back out into the main passageway, they could only go further into the mine. She didn't know where it led or what else was there. She didn't want to get trapped between two HK Tracks. She also didn't want to get trapped inside of the cavern they were in now if the HK Track returned and parked.
She thought it might be better to move deeper into the mine to see what else they could find. She was sure there was going to be more equipment. The way it was stored made it seem as if there would be. She wondered if there was some version of Skynet located somewhere inside as well. It was probably on a lower level if there was a version of it. It crossed her mind they needed some kind of a map. It was going to be too easy for them to get lost at some point, especially if they went to a different level.
"I think it may come back in here." The female fanatic said. "It looks like one is missing the way the other three are parked. Let's go back to the junction and see what our options are."
They quickly moved through the passageway.
Jill didn't think Jackie would try to fight it. She wanted to make sure. She still wanted to kill three of the men who'd abused her earlier.
"We're going to avoid it, aren't we?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic and Jill reached the junction of the branch and the main passageway. She looked in the direction they'd come from. She could hear the HK Track moving but she couldn't see it. She wondered if it was in one of the other branches they hadn't explored earlier.
Lena and Tina quickly rounded up the females. They put the five of them in the empty room next to the office location. The bread truck pulled up next to the office thirty seconds later.
The passenger side door in the front opened and a man got out. He looked over at the driver.
"Pull up to the end room." The first man said. "I'm going to check in."
The driver looked over at him.
"Will I get my turn with the blond one then?" The second man asked.
The first man laughed as he closed the door.
"You'll get to have a turn with all of them." The first man said. "I already have. The redhead is a real squirmier."
The first man headed for the office. The bakery truck pulled ahead.
Tina told the girls to remain where they were. She headed for the office behind the first man.
Lena moved out in back of the bread truck as it passed. She quickly climbed up onto the back bumper and held on. She looked back to make sure there was no one else. She saw Tina enter the office area.
The first man entered the office area.
"Hey, where is everyone at?" The first man asked.
He moved towards the rear office area. He immediately spotted the man on the floor. He reached for his pistol. Before his hand could even touch it, his world went black.
Tina had silently moved up behind him. She rabbit punched him. His head snapped backwards, as his body shot forwards. He landed on top of the other man. Tina quickly relieved him of his phone and weapon. It was the same procedure she'd used on the other men she'd terminated. She looked over and noticed there was a safe in the corner. It only took her a short time to open it. It was full of cash and some narcotics. There was another firearm inside. She dumped out a small trash can on top of the two dead men and put the cash inside. She pulled the drugs out and dropped them on top of the dead men.
She quickly moved back outside to reinforce Lena. She'd indicated she had everything under control.
Lena rode on the back of the bread truck until it stopped at the end of the row of motel units. She could tell there was one more man inside besides the driver. She didn't like what she'd heard either.
"We're here." The second man said.
"I'll be done in a minute." The third man said. "Go out and make sure the door's open. It's the second room from the end."
Lena moved her silenced M9 into her left hand. She stepped off the back of the truck and waited at the rear. The driver stepped out. She shot him once in the head. He dropped to the ground. She reached back up and opened the rear door on the bakery truck. It was as she suspected. There were three females and one more Syndicate thug in the back. He was on top of one of the females. The females were all bound and gagged.
"I told you I'd be done in a minute." The third man said. "I'm not finished yet."
Lena stepped up into the back of the truck.
The third man turned around to look.
"Wrong." Lena said.
She kicked him hard in the face. His head snapped back and his body dropped on top of the female. She reached down and grabbed him by his belt and threw him outside onto the ground.
Tina was at the back of the bread truck. She took both of the terminated men inside the second room from the back. The two men who'd been in the last room next door were in there as well. She rolled a Thermite grenade into the room and closed the door.
Lena moved to untie the girls.
She gave them a brief explanation and told them to put their pants back on. She closed the rear door and moved up to the driver seat. She turned the bakery truck around and drove it up to the first room next to the office.
Lena tossed a Thermite grenade into the office.
Tina met her at the first room. They brought the other five girls out and loaded them into the back of the bakery truck. She picked up the small trash can full of money and got in the back with them.
Lena got back into the driver's seat and drove away. The building was starting to burn. there wouldn't be an emergency response. The Syndicate was about to lose another asset.
Several of the females were crying. The other females calmed them down and comforted them. Tina quickly explained what their options were. She told them they would let them off at a hospital if they wanted to go there or near a police station if they wanted to make a report. If they wanted to go their own way, they could each have a stack of cash. All of the girls wanted a stack of cash. They were all runaways or homeless. Cash was hard to come by.
One of the females noticed the firearms which remained in the trash can. She wanted to know if she could have one.
Tina quickly showed her how to operate it. A couple of the other females wanted one as well.
Lena parked the bread truck two blocks past where their SUV was at.
They stopped the girls from asking questions. It was time to part ways. They could only do so much.
"I need one of you to drive this truck away from here." Lena said. "Drive to another city and dump it. It will be a target in a few hours."
Two of the Females said they could. One of them moved up to the driver's seat.
"It will be sunrise soon." Tina said. "Let this be the first day in a new life. I recommend those who can return home to do so and try to get your life back together. I know some of you can't for various reasons. You'll end up back at some place like this again or worse. You have to make your own future. If you don't, the future will make you."
The females all thanked them.
"Who are you?" One of the females asked.
Lena was about to close the rear door.
"We're the good guys." Lena said. "Don't squander your lives."
Lena closed the rear door. Tina and her disappeared into the darkness as the bakery truck drove away.
"How many of them do you think will make it?" Tina asked.
Lena checked the data available to her.
"Statistics indicate it will probably less than half of them." Lena said. "We can only do so much."
CamNet's Terminators returned to their SUV and headed out. It appeared the white van was near its destination.
The time went by fairly fast for the men in the white van.
"It's time to wake up." The first man said.
The second man opened his eyes and put his seat up.
"I like to say I feel refreshed but I don't." The second man said.
The white van was off of the freeway. It was headed towards the old steel mill.
They stop at a burnt out shack near the front gate. The gate was locked. They drove along the side of the fence until they spotted a drainage ditch.
"I think we can go under the fence here." The first man said.
The second man stretched a little.
"Great, I get to crawl in the dirt." The second man said.
The first man pointed to the barbed wire on the top of the fence.
"You can always go over it if you want." The first man said.
Both men got out of the van.
"This place looks like it should have a guard or something." The second man said.
The first man looked at his phone. It still didn't work.
"I don't think so." The first man said.
The two men scrambled underneath the fence through the drainage ditch. It was actually the way some of the Resistance Terminators entered the facility originally. The men didn't know it, but they were currently under surveillance from some of the equipment the Resistance left behind. They still had a drone over them as well.
CamNet made sure none of the footage went to the Resistance base. Savannah was still out and she didn't want her involved in another operation so soon.
The two men dusted themselves off and headed for the big building near where the gate was. If there was a guard, it was where he would probably be located.
I Will Get Them
What is a gift really about
Is it an attempt to buy someone
Is it about some fun
It depends on how it is spun
A gift can be given from the heart
It can make someone happy when sad
It's better to help them feel glad
Joy to their day it might add
A true gift must come
Without any conditions or rules
Not be used as leverage or tools
It need not be diamonds or jewels
A gift can be as simple
As sharing one's presence
No one need bring a present
Little things can make a difference
Tell me what you'd like
You are my personal gem
Show me where the feelings stem
I will get them
Nobody
