Chapter 1469

Better Than She Remembered

Once the Mitchell was above two thousand feet, Young Allison moved up and sat in the nose. Anna took up her place in the top turret to watch the sky above them and around them in all directions.

The B-25 went 'feet wet' in just a few minutes after takeoff.

Savannah took the Mitchell up to five thousand feet over the Pacific. It was a clear day and the Channel Islands were visible.

Cameron gave Savannah a heading.

Savannah went over everything with Young Jesse one more time. She felt Young Jesse was ready.

"You got it?" Savannah asked.

Young Jesse glanced over.

"I got it." Young Jesse said.

Savannah turned the Warbird over to Young Jesse.

Young Jesse was elated. The throb and roar of the engines was reassuring. Even with the headset on, the sound was commanding.

She did some slight maneuvering to get the feel of the controls. She worked the throttles up and down a little. There was plenty of power without a payload.

Savannah worked her through a series of maneuvers and turns.

Young Jesse really got the feel of the plane in no time. Like Savannah and Young Allison, she was a natural. She could fly by the seat of her pants.

Sarah dozed off in the darkness when Jesse left. Her eyes opened when she heard the door close and figured Jesse was back. It could be Claire too. She was good with either one. She saw them quickly strip in the dim light and move into position to pleasure her again. She made sure everything was ready for them.

Riley moved into position. She thought it was Claire. In the dim light she could only make out her form. 'Claire' made sure everything was ready for her. It excited her greatly. She started right in on 'Claire'. She could hear sounds of pleasure from 'Claire'. There was something about the sound. It seemed a little familiar to her. It didn't click.

Right away Sarah could tell they were 'hungry' for her. They really went to town. She still couldn't tell if it was Jesse or Claire. It seemed a little different than before from either of them. She didn't want to ask. It was good, so there was no beef, quite literally in this case. They were about to get the job done and it was all that really counted. She finished a few seconds later. They stayed with it and she finished again.

Sarah pulled up on her to get her to move up. She was surprised at how quickly she rotated around for her. It was a two way street now. They went to work again and so did she. They both wanted more from each other.

She started in. Right away knew something was 'different'. It wasn't Jesse or Claire. It wasn't Young Jesse either. She figured it must be Vanna or Allison. The last thought made her wonder some. It was fine with her. She went back to work.

Riley could see why 'Claire' was such a hit. She was good to be with and she knew how to please. She finished in the first ten seconds 'Claire' started in on her. Most of it was the thrill of being with a female again. It was better than she remembered. It was something she'd wanted to do again for years. There was a slight pause and then 'Claire' started in again. Things only got better from there.

They hadn't even spoken yet. Their mouths did all the 'talking'.

There were several finishes to go around. The finishes seemed to feed off of each other.

Claire swallowed hard and then moved back up next to John. She snuggled up next to him. She knew he was spent for a while. She swallowed again before they kissed. She thought he would rest. He still touched her and kept her aroused. She really liked it. She'd never received so much attention from a male before, ever.

It was unlike any other experience she'd ever endured with a male. John already got her there numerous times and always seemed to think of her and her needs. He held back so she could finish even more times. She really appreciated it. No male ever even got her close to a finish before, let alone nearly a dozen of them. She'd actually lost track. She was happy with the first one. All she'd ever wanted, was to finish once with a male.

John worked his way down again and started in on her.

Claire thought it was better than Heaven!

She would be sure to tell Cameron she was ready to move into John's room as soon as she wanted her too. She'd been in love with John for a long time. This sealed the deal. Her daughter, or daughters, would have to take a back seat to her now.

Claire wanted Jesse to try it, or did she? It made her wonder how Jesse would do. It worried her a little since Jesse was dynamite in bed. John might prefer the sexual comforts Jesse would be able to provide over hers. She didn't feel it was her choice to make. It would be up to John.

She wasn't going to be anything other than herself. The choice would be John's. If he chose her, she wanted it to be as 'herself' and not as a person she really wasn't.

Right now he was about to send her over the top again. She made it.

It looked like John was ready again already. It was fast. He went to move on top of her. She wanted to try something different. She rolled over on her stomach and went up on her knees. She wanted John to take her this way. She wasn't sure what he would actually do since there was more than one choice available in this position.

John made his move. It was the right move. She let out a sound of pleasure. John made the choice she'd wanted. He really went to town on her. He kept going until she made it two more times before he finished.

They stayed connected and they managed to move and lay on their sides in the same position. They both rested now as one. Her back was against his chest.

It really made her wonder how Cameron could have wanted to alter her sheath before to take away this pleasure from herself. She was sure the Metal girls all experienced a different type of finish than she did. Maybe that was it. She really didn't know. One thing she did know was Allison, Vanna and Jesse missed out on a lot of years of good sex and love making. She planned to be back here as often as Cameron would allow it. She would remind Cameron again once she'd delivered Allison's baby.

She was ready to have Young Allison's baby for Cameron. She hoped it would give her a little extra pull. She might have to contend with Savannah and Young Jesse. It was OK too. She possessed more experience than they did. She was sure the women would be superior to the girls. She also needed to consider the girls were all fast learners. They could catch up to her and surpass her in a relatively short amount of time. Their youth would all give them an advantage, along with superior stamina.

There was a lot to think about going forward. Right now she only wanted to think about the pleasure John was able to provide her with. She knew she was able to satisfy him.

Sheila drove around the block and parked in an alley.

Ally wondered why they hadn't gone closer.

"The taggers are on the other side of the street." Ally said. "It would have been better if I drove."

Sheila didn't like the dig. She wanted to carry out the punishment the same way Dan and Frank were able to do.

"I don't want them to see me." Sheila said. "The whole point is for it to be a surprise for them."

Cammy wondered about the distance. She looked in the back of the SUV.

"Are we going to shoot them from here?" Cammy asked. "Do you want an M4?"

Sheila knew the rounds from the M4 could only be suppressed and not totally silenced with their ammunition. The subsonic rounds from her silenced M9 were silent. They would arrive unannounced. No one would know what they were or where they came from.

"No." Sheila said. "Look around and make sure nobody is watching and there aren't any security cameras."

The three Metal girls looked around. They were clear.

There were three taggers. They worked on three levels. Sheila took careful aim and made her calculations. There was some timing and movement to factor it. It would be a test of her skill and ability.

Cammy and Ally watched intently.

"I can take one of them." Cammy said.

Sheila wanted to test her proficiency.

"Next time, love." Sheila said.

Sheila's M9 fired three times in rapid succession. It almost sounded like one short 'cough'.

Cammy reached forward and caught the three fired brass casings as they flew into the interior of the SUV.

In the same moment, they watched as three paint cans exploded and showered the taggers with three different colors of paint. They could hear the taggers scream as the paint covered their faces and went into their eyes.

Ally was surprised with the results.

"You got them." Ally said.

Cammy hoped Sheila would have shot the taggers instead. It seemed like a sure cure to the problem. Termination carried certain finality with it. Most likely they would need to be terminated at some later date, especially if they became Scavengers.

Sheila wanted to get away before anyone spotted them.

"Let's get out of here." Sheila said.

She put her M9 away and backed out of the alley away from the taggers.

They could still hear the screaming from the three figures rolling around on the ground as they went around the corner.

Cammy wanted a better answer as to Sheila's actions. She still thought it was only a halfway measure.

"Why didn't you just terminate them?" Cammy asked.

Sheila thought of a way to increase their suffering.

"I could go back down the alley and run them over." Sheila said.

Ally saw it as having a more profound effect than a simple termination.

"I think she wanted to send a message." Ally said. "Dan and Frank did it in Frisco. Tagging dried up for several days once word got around."

Cammy considered the effects of the chemicals of the paint on human eyes.

"How many of the taggers were blinded?" Cammy asked.

In retrospect, Sheila thought the results could have been a little more decisive. She felt it depended upon the crime.

"Only two of them were permanently blinded. Another three were blinded in one eye." Sheila said. "There were no terminations with the taggers. The petty crooks weren't so lucky."

Ally thought she could do better than Sheila did.

"I want to try it." Ally said.

Cammy wanted some 'fresh meat'. She didn't want to fool around with criminals right now. She wanted to get down to business, in a literal sense.

"I don't." Cammy said. "I want to meet the girls."

Sheila was thrilled with excitement at the level of violence and suffering she'd caused. The feelings fed on themselves. She wanted more. She wanted to find someone in the process of committing a more severe crime. She wanted to escalate the violence.

"Let's see if we can find a future Scavenger first." Sheila said.

Ally wanted to point out how defective Sheila was.

"Cammy won't get off on killing them like you will." Ally said. "Actual sex, and love, turns her on, not suffering and violence."

Sheila spent eight years with Cammy in the past. She knew there were a lot of things Cammy would do that no one but her knew about.

"We'll see." Sheila said.

Allison made her way out onto the street. She turned right at a red light without stopping and pulled in front of a car. It crossed the intersection with a green light for them. They honked and swerved around her. It was a near miss.

Allison caught the angry gesture the driver indicated to her.

"Same to you, jerk." Allison said.

Allison flipped them off.

Vanna didn't think the other driver was at fault. She reminded Allison about the traffic laws.

"You're supposed to stop at a red light before you make a right." Vanna said.

Allison thought the road was wide enough.

"I just wanted to make a right." Allison said. "Can't any of these people skill drive? There was plenty of room for them to go around me. It's what they did anyway. They didn't need to honk their horn and be rude about it."

As they approached the next intersection, the light turned yellow. Instead of slowing to stop, Allison floored it. The SUV surged ahead. It entered the intersection after the light was red. The traffic already started to move. It was close to another near miss.

Vanna didn't like the move.

"Red means stop." Vanna said.

Allison didn't like backseat drivers.

"Maybe for sissies it does." Allison said. "There was plenty of time."

Vanna cringed a little more.

Cam noticed. She reached in the back and pulled out their vests. She passed two up to the front. Vanna and Cam put their vests on in the back seat.

Allison struggled to get her vest on. She crossed over two lanes and ended up in the oncoming traffic lane on the other side of the street. One car headed towards them needed to swerve to avoid a head on collision.

Holly reached over and steered the SUV back onto the proper side.

Allison didn't think it was a big deal. She thought everything was under control. She thought they must be near the destination if they were getting armored up.

"Are we about ready to see combat?" Allison asked.

Cam understood Vanna's concerns about Allison's driving ability.

"No. I wanted to try to keep torso damage to a minimum in a traffic accident." Cam said. "We've already experienced several near misses."

Allison looked back and frowned. Cam was serious.

"I can't help it if people don't know how to drive." Allison said. "It doesn't really take much skill."

Vanna would rather be the one driving at this point.

"Just pay attention to the lights." Vanna said.

Holly knew they needed to change their direction to get to the objective.

"You'll need to turn right up here." Holly said.

Allison drove past the turn.

Holly looked at the street as they passed it.

"I meant back there." Holly said.

Allison slowed slightly and made a U-turn in front of oncoming traffic. Several cars blew their horns.

Allison flipped them off.

"These people are such sissies." Allison said. "They probably wouldn't even last five minutes in the Wastelands. They probably wouldn't live long enough to see the Wastelands in the first place."

Cam looked over. Vanna's eyes were closed. One eye opened and then the other.

"I thought I was going to get T-boned on my side with her illegal turn." Vanna said.

Holly thought it was a close one, again. She was accustomed to Allison's unconventional driving skills.

"We made it, that time." Holly said.

Holly didn't like to criticize Allison's driving, but it did leave a little to be desired.

Allison made the turn she'd missed earlier. She continued down the street and blew through a four way stop without even slowing. A car which just started out to cross her path, needed to slam on the brakes. It just missed hitting them on Allison and Cam's side of the SUV.

Cam made a quick calculation as they passed the stopped car.

"It was a close one." Cam said. "The car stopped three feet from our side."

Allison looked back in her rear view mirror.

"What a jerk." Allison said. "Where did these people learn how to drive?"

Holly thought maybe Allison missed the stop sign by accident.

"It was a stop sign for you." Holly said.

Allison didn't think it was a big deal.

"I must have missed it." Allison said. "I'll stop twice at the next one."

Holly tilted her head slightly. She didn't see how it could possibly rectify the problem.

Vanna hoped they would make it that far. She didn't think it was so much Allison wasn't a good driver, as it was she never seemed to be bothered by what almost happened or did happen. She really hoped the drive would be over soon.

"How much further is it?" Vanna asked.

Holly made a few quick calculations.

"On surface streets, it will be another twenty minutes." Holly said. "It would be a half hour if Allison wasn't driving."

Allison looked back and smiled.

"Some people have it and some don't." Allison said. "I'll see if I can shave a few minutes off the time."

Vanna knew they needed to arrive at the location in the first place. If they didn't make it, it didn't matter how much time it took.

"Is there any way we can score an APC for her to drive?" Vanna asked. "I would feel a little better protected."

Allison liked the idea. With some armor, she could knock the losers out of the way. It would give them something to think about the next time they got in her way.

"Cool." Allison said. "I wouldn't need to stop for anything if I was in one of those."

They all thought maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all. It seemed it would only encourage Allison to drive even more reckless.

Holly noticed a potential hazard up ahead. It wasn't a hazard for Allison. It was a hazard for the individual. She didn't want to be involved in any unnecessary terminations.

"There's a bicycle up ahead." Holly said.

Allison felt her irritation level rise slightly. Bicycles were often in the way.

"I hope he moves." Allison said. "I don't share the road with parasites."

Vanna wasn't up for twenty more minutes of this insanity.

"Maybe Cam can drive for a while." Vanna said. "Or maybe Holly can."

There was a thump and scrape noise again on Vanna's side of the SUV as they passed the cyclist.

Vanna looked back and the cyclist was still upright. She wasn't sure what Allison contacted.

"It was close." Vanna said. "The guy flipped you off."

Allison slowed some and touched her Model 66. She thought about slowing down so he could catch up to them. She might even turn around and go back.

"I should bust a cap in his rear end." Allison said. "Maybe he should just grow a pair. When he does, I'll blow them off too. I'm tired of people disrespecting me. They all need to learn some manners."

Cam didn't want the confrontation to escalate. She could see Vanna was bothered by the incident.

"State law demands a minimum clearance when you pass them." Cam said.

Allison felt vindicated by the law Cam referenced.

"I hope they learn to adhere to it next time and move over." Allison said. "Only an imbecile would try to have a bike, and a car, share the same space at the same time. Maybe they should take a physics class."

Vanna looked at Cam and swallowed hard. She made sure her vest was on securely.

Kyle and Derek were out on a recon with Jim and Bob. They figured with the two male Terminators, they would draw a target. Like everyone, they wanted to do more and give Savannah a break. They all felt a little ashamed because Savannah, and then Young Allison by necessity, did most of the fighting in the last week.

Bob drove. Jim was in the front with him. Derek and Kyle were in the back seat.

Derek hoped for a little action.

"I want to find a 'hard target'." Derek said.

Bob frowned.

"You know recons are just supposed to be just recons." Bob said. "Cameron is back. She'll handle all the 'hard targets' herself."

Kyle didn't see it as a solution to the problem. If anything, it would probably be in escalation.

"That's just it." Kyle said. "It means Savannah is probably going to be in it even deeper then."

Jim thought she was in pretty deep with Cammy all week.

"I really don't see how it can get much more intense than last week." Jim said.

Bob was deeply disturbed by the briefing presentation they'd watched. He'd only needed to deal with a few drunks and petty theft last week as his biggest problem on the ship. There were also the incidents Sheila provoked or created. He was sure she was responsible for half of them.

"We have a few choices John Henry gave me." Bob said. "We'll see what we can turn up or shake loose."

Derek looked over at Kyle.

"That's what I'm talking about." Derek said.

Jim spoke with John Henry and they all received information on their phones of the target location and the future Gray who should be there. They all looked over the building plans.

It wasn't the target Kyle expected.

"This guy owns a welding shop?" Kyle asked.

Bob wanted to see if it was Skynet related. There's one way they would know for sure.

"It looks like it." Bob said. "We're going to look for any Coltan too."

Jim knew there was some out there.

"We think there was some going to the port facility. It slipped through our fingers, or was intercepted by another group." Jim said. "There's a machine shop associated with the welding business."

They all received new images on their phones.

"Someone sure has a source of Coltan from somewhere for all the HK equipment we've appropriated." Derek said. "I know Cameron has captured several production lines and a lot of machinery over the last few years. Has she set up an assembly line anywhere?"

Jim and Bob looked at each other.

"CamNet would be the one who controlled it if there was." Bob said.

Kyle didn't think it was a very informative answer.

"Is there anything set up?" Kyle asked.

Jim shrugged his shoulders. It was a mystery to all of them.

"Nobody knows." Jim said.

It wasn't the answer Kyle wanted to hear.

"Beautiful." Kyle said. "Our own version of 'Skynet' does who knows what. I can see why CamNet makes Sarah nervous."

Bob understood the feeling. They didn't know either. Right now it was time to get ready.

"Apparently…." Bob said. "We're nearing the target location."

Derek and Kyle didn't know exactly what to expect. They were ready for anything.

Samantha felt Precious was fine now since Jesse started to nurse her. She stayed for a little longer just to make sure Precious was content. She knew she would be content if she was in Precious place right now.

Jesse looked around and didn't see Riley. Maybe she could have some fun with Samantha. She cupped her free breast and held it up a little for Samantha.

"You can work on the other one, love." Jesse said. "There's one for each of you."

Samantha looked around. She didn't want any trouble.

"I'm not sure where Riley went." Samantha said.

Jesse was always ready for a little more.

"Just close the nursery door." Jesse said. "I'll let you work on something else."

There was a big smile on Jesse's face.

Samantha looked down at Jesse's waist. The shorts Jesse wore would come off pretty easy if she lifted up a little. She was tempted.

"Maybe Riley could do it." Samantha said.

Jesse frowned a little. She was up for a little fun, but she didn't want any trouble. In this particular situation, she didn't want to cause any either.

"Sorry, love. No can do." Jesse said. "I promised Cameron I wouldn't do anything to break Derek and Riley up. If I touch either one of them, they're finished as a couple. I owe Cameron too much to go back on my promise."

Jesse thought she'd found something better. Her time with John was more than special. She'd never felt and shared love like she experienced with a male before. It was the kind of love Savannah showed her, and then Young Jesse. She could take care of John and take the risk at his side. She really wanted Young Jesse and Savannah to pair up. She wanted it to happen before Young Allison became active. She was a 'cherry bomb' waiting to go off. It was obvious Young Allison was 'hot to trot'.

Samantha didn't want to risk it.

"Let me see where Riley is at." Samantha said. "She sure is quiet."

Samantha got up to look around. She checked Riley's quarters twice. Riley wasn't there.

She looked out in the hall. It was deserted. She contacted John Henry and asked him. He said all personal activity was blocked. He didn't know where anyone was at.

Samantha frowned. She started down the hall and passed John's room. She stopped dead in her tracks. There was the unmistakable sound of two people making love in John's room. She did know Cameron was out with Young Jesse, Savannah and Young Allison.

Who was in the room with John? She hurried to Claire's room. The door was closed and there were two people in there sharing frantically. She was sure Claire was in her room with someone.

She went back to John's room and listened. She doubted he was in there with Sarah. It must mean Riley was in there. No wonder CamNet cut off all access to the personal activity. Cameron was going to flip when she found out about it. Riley's life was in danger now!

She hurried back to her room. She was going to tell Jesse what she'd just discovered. She decided not to. She wasn't going to tell anyone. If there was one wrong word, Cameron might find out. She would have gone to John herself if he 'needed' someone so much. Cameron could deactivate her and Riley would be safe. Maybe if Cameron found out something, she could take the blame and say it was her. She would do it to protect Riley.

She didn't want Jesse to start asking questions when she returned.

She entered the nursery and closed the door and locked it.

Jesse watched what she did. It meant they were going to share.

"That's just my speed." Jesse said.

Samantha managed a smile. She didn't feel like smiling right now.

"I think we have a little while." Samantha said.

Jesse was still a little concerned about Riley.

"Is Riley resting?" Jesse asked.

Samantha tilted her head slightly. It seemed like one possible interpretation.

"I'd say more or less." Samantha said.

She really hoped Riley didn't end up with a final 'Rest In Peace' on her tombstone.

CamNet's Terminator waited to see how events played out. He made sure he was as far away from the vehicle as possible. He was still near the rear door if he needed to get out. He watched the drone image as the van drove away. The attacker wasn't far from the building. He watched the other vehicle slow some as the van sped away.

He spotted the small tongues of flame which came out of both sides of the car. Almost instantly he felt a slight vibration and heard the noise of an explosion. It appeared the attacker fired an RPG at the building. The drone image showed it hit the side of the wall. It didn't do much other than leave a burn mark and chip a little bit of concrete from the wall.

The van took evasive action. The car took off after it. It appears the driver of the car used a certain amount of caution as he made his terns. It was clear he was worried about being ambushed.

One drone would stay with the two vehicles. There was a drone over his location now dedicated to him. He wasn't sure how long it would last.

CamNet assured him if anyone exited either of the vehicles, they would be taken down with a gravity shot of 'metal hail' or a missile. It would depend upon the collateral damage which might be inflicted.

He went to the vehicle in the building and carefully inspected it. He removed all of the explosives from it. There was enough information inside of it to drive the vehicle out so the boxes of material in it could be transferred for further dissemination at a secure location.

He went outside and pulled all of the dead men inside of the building. The mattress in the dumpster still smoked. Once all of the men were inside of the building, he searched them for any other additional information. He took all of their phones. Several of them were damaged.

CamNet's Terminator quickly moved through the building with the C-4 explosives he'd collected. He set all of the timers so they could be command detonated. CamNet would now have control over when it would occur. She also had a direct feed into the security cameras located around the building as well as inside of it. They weren't hooked up to the outside world. He used a phone from one of the dead men to rig it up for her.

He continued to check the drone image of where the two vehicles were at. They were both several miles away already. Because of the turns, they hadn't gone far. He made one more sweep of the building. He pulled the vehicle out into the rear parking lot. He went back and closed the roll up door. He locked it from the inside. He went out the pass door and made sure it was locked. The building was secure. If somebody wanted to go in there, they would either need a key, or they would need to break in. Either one of the two situations would indicate the enemy.

He drove the captured vehicle away from the location. He approached his SUV. It had been under direct surveillance from a security camera on a building. CamNet assured him no one approached it.

CamNet's Terminator transferred the boxes and information into his SUV. He left the other vehicle behind and started out after the other two vehicles. They were actually quite near.

The man in the van prepared to take evasive action at the next street and turn right again. He'd needed to skip the first street. There could be more of the enemy on it. He turned right at the second street. The driver was able to see the car behind him make the same turns. The driver hadn't made a move to close up on him yet.

He already knew some type of explosive was used to attack the building. He figured it was either a LAW rocket or an RPG. He also went under the assumption the attacker probably possessed more of the same.

The man in the van took a few more turns. There was only so much he could do with the van. If he went around any corner too fast, the van swayed wildly. He didn't want to get it up on two wheels. If he did, it would probably continue all the way over onto its side. He wasn't looking for a wild ride.

So far he'd only spotted one vehicle behind him. He tried his phone several times already without any results. He wasn't sure what was wrong with it. It was possible the man behind him had some type of jamming device. No. The phones didn't work before he'd left the building. He was sure it was some type of an electronic attack. How it was being carried out, he didn't have a clue. It could still be related to the vehicle following him. The two men might have placed some type of jamming device before the sniper took one of them out. It was possible the men who went to retrieve his body couldn't find it.

There were several other locations he could go to. He didn't know what the status of any of them was. He was aware there were some attacks over the last few days at a number of different locations. He needed to keep in mind he currently drove around with some valuable cargo.

So far he'd made a giant circle around the area of his building. He was only vaguely familiar with some of the streets. Anything outside of a mile from their building, he didn't have any clue. Without a working phone, he couldn't look it up either. He remembered when they used to have maps given out by one of the auto clubs. They used to have maps of everywhere. People switched over to electronic maps on their phones. Look where it got them now. He checked his phone again. It was still dead.

There was a deli he liked not too far from the building. He knew the layout of the parking lot. If the attacker continued to stay behind him and keep some distance, he might be able to pull off an ambush. He should be able to turn at the street where the deli was at and then make a turn into their parking lot and come out in the alley in back. The attacker should be looking at the corner where he turned. He shouldn't be looking at the alley. It was what he decided to do.

He made the turn on the street which would pass along the side of the deli. He would be able to turn at the street which ran along the front of it. He increased his speed slightly but not too much. He didn't want the attacker to close up on him before he was able to put his plan into effect.

The driver of the van made the turn at the corner with the deli. He immediately turned into the parking lot along the side of it. He turned once again into the alley. He hopped out of the van and brought his rifle with him. He moved up to the mouth of the alley behind the deli and waited.

The attacker approached the street at a moderate speed. The van was already halfway down it. He made the turn and continued the pursuit. Since the road was straight, he decided to put a new rocket in the launcher.

He was finally able to load the launcher with his last rocket. It was a fragmentation grenade. The one he'd used against the building was a high explosive round. He would have liked it to have gone in the front lobby of the building. Instead, he saw it hit the wall. He didn't know what damage would be done to the building from it.

The attacker tried his phone again as he drove. It didn't work. He'd made the same turns the van in front of him did. He hadn't closed up on it yet. He wanted to make sure there wasn't another vehicle out after him. It seemed highly probable.

He noticed they hadn't gone far from the location the van left from. He was sure it was to lure him into some type of ambush. He noticed the van pull ahead slightly on the street it was on now.

It was possible the van was going to try to lose him. He didn't really see what the point was. He knew exactly where it came from. He'd already attacked the building. He'd also been attacked from the building. He watched the van make a right turn.

The attacker closed up the distance. He wanted to make sure the driver of the van didn't pull any fast ones. As he neared the intersection, he could see there were a few pedestrians out on the main street. He looked over at the rocket launcher. He decided the next time they weren't on a main street with witnesses around; he would close up and use the RPG against the van. He would really like to be able to do it from the front so the rocket could crash through the front window. It should send shrapnel throughout the interior of the van.

The attacker still didn't know how many people were in the van. He could see a deli on the corner of the intersection he approached.

CamNet watched the events play out at the crossroad junction. She could see the Gray took some time to look around the small community. She watched the two females move their vehicles so he couldn't spot it unless he drove to the far side of the gas station. It seemed unlikely.

He was back on the road. It was his original path. Her two female Terminators were still in front of him. She figured the female Fanatic and her accomplice would follow him soon. They'd checked to make sure the direction he was going to go.

Her latest concern was the two enemy vehicles on the street. They were in a situation where there could be some collateral damage. She wanted to get what was in the van. Her male Terminator informed her the vehicle he drove away was packed full of boxes of Skynet related material. The assumption was the van was as well. She watched the maneuver by the van driver to ambush the car.

She decided to use a couple of very curtailed gravity shots of 'metal hail'.

Lena and Tina were a little surprised at the action the Gray took when he left the gas station.

"It looks like he suspects the vehicle which had been following him." Lena said.

Tina thought he had good reason to. He was being followed.

"I don't know if he ever got a good look at it." Tina said. "It wasn't inside of the building, which turned into a crater, for very long."

They watched the Gray's vehicle complete its maneuver around the rear of the diner and the back of the motel. He was now back on the road headed towards them. They waited a little longer until he was about a mile away from them. They pulled back out onto the road. The done indicated what his speed was. They would match it.

Lena and Tina would stay one mile in front of the Gray.

The female Fanatic and Jill headed outside and got back into the vehicle. They were a few minutes behind the Gray. The map didn't indicate any intersections for quite some time. There were always dirt roads which he could turn on to.

They pulled out at the gas station and stopped at the intersection. The female Fanatic took a look around them to see what other vehicles might be around them. She spotted something behind them on the main highway. She hoped they wouldn't go in their direction. She made a left at the intersection.

Jill watched Jackie check her rear view and side view mirror right before they'd turned. She looked back in the direction they'd turned from.

"What did you see?" Jill asked. "Was something there?"

The female Fanatic didn't want to worry her. It wasn't a problem, yet.

"It's nothing to be concerned about right now." The female Fanatic said.

The female Fanatic stayed on the accelerator pretty hard. she hadn't spotted any other vehicles turn in the same direction the Gray went. She didn't need to worry about any law enforcement being there. They could still be coming from the other way. She would slow down if she even thought one of them was a Sheriff's vehicle or belonged to the Highway Patrol.

Jill was still a little concerned.

"Was it the police?" Jill asked.

She was a little worried about some of her previous actions. She'd killed a few men personally and was responsible for the deaths of others.

The female Fanatic didn't think Jill needed to worry about the police.

"It was a group of bikers." The female Fanatic said. "They're very much like the Scavengers of my future."

Jill quickly looked behind them. She didn't spot anyone. She knew the biker gangs were trouble. They were involved in every type of crime imaginable. They also associated with other criminal organizations.

She looked at the weapons on the floor of the back seat. There were two assault rifles and some various types of explosives including a couple of hand grenades. There was also the bazooka looking thing. She remembered Jackie called it a LAW rocket.

"Can you tell me more about the future?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic didn't think it served any positive purpose.

"None of it is any good." The female Fanatic said. "Why don't you get some rest."

She didn't want to push Jackie on the issue. She was a little sleepy right now. She climbed over into the back seat. She stretched out on the rear seat much the same way Jackie did. She looked back up to see if she could spot the car in front of them. She didn't see it yet. She took one look behind her. There was nothing there.

Jill lowered her head back down to the seat. She knew Jackie would look out for them.

Better Than She Remembered

Life can be full of joy and sharing
It can also be closed and sequestered
It can leave one feeling cold
It may seem as if they're cornered

All actions have consequences
They can leave nerves feeling tattered
It doesn't take much more
To leave a relationship shattered

When one mulls it around
They may feel quite bewildered
They need to bury the past
Before the future is fractured

Take a good look around
It's nice to be reassured
Sooner rather than later
One is once again inspired

It doesn't take long
To remember what is desired
To obtain what one wants
Is better than she remembered

Nobody
