Chapter 1479
Wait A Minute
John wanted to relax for a few minutes. He felt tired. He wanted to rest his eyes.
He heard someone enter his room. He saw who stood next to his bed. He felt his heart skip a beat as his eyes widened.
He found it a little hard to believe. Riley was in his bedroom right now.
He'd been with all the girls except Riley, Savannah and Young Allison. Now Riley was here.
"One time won't hurt anything." Riley said.
John swallowed hard.
"I'm not so sure about this." John said.
He wanted her badly, but he didn't want to offend Cameron again.
Riley was very persistent.
"I'm no different than the other girls." Riley said. "We all want the same things. We all have the same things."
John knew it was true, even if they were 'different' in detail. He'd been able to take in quite a selection over the last week on the cruise ship. Cameron was very generous with what she'd offered. He didn't want to take it too far. He swallowed hard. He returned to his attention back to Riley. She spoke before he could.
"Besides, it's not like you haven't done it with me before, even if it wasn't me. It still was me." Riley said.
John could have done without the last part. It was true.
Riley was naked right now as she stood before John.
John wanted her bad, real bad.
"I don't know." John said.
Riley was right there in front of him.
"I do. I'm a person too." Riley said. "I'm not a second class human. I'm not less than a machine."
John felt bad now for the way he'd treated her over the years. He'd tried to keep as much distance as possible to prevent Cameron from becoming upset.
"I'm sorry about everything." John said. "There was a lot going on. It was complicated."
Riley bent down and her breasts were right in front of his face.
"Make it up to me then." Riley said. "You can uncomplicate it."
Riley climbed up on top of him and gave him a kiss.
There were a million thoughts bouncing around inside of John's head.
"What about Derek?" John asked.
Riley shrugged her shoulders. She didn't seem too concerned.
"I'll let him try Jesse again." Riley said. "It's what he prefers anyway. I can always tell. I was always the 'runner up'."
John could understand it. He wanted to be with Jesse again himself. It was one sweet ride.
Riley bent down and kissed him.
John wanted to turn away but he couldn't. He deepened the kiss. As soon as he did, he felt Riley move back and down some. He could hear her let out a slight joyful gasp. He could hardly believe what she'd just done. Her kiss went wild at this point as she started to move.
It was a dream come true for John.
It would be a toss up who finished first at this point….
Derek and Bob, along with Kyle and Jim, withdrew from the industrial area. They drove a mile away before Derek and Kyle were able to get Jim and Bob to stop. They were now in back of an office supply store.
The two SUVs were parked side by side.
Jim didn't like the delay. They've been recalled by the Command Center.
"We're to return to the base." Jim said.
Bob didn't like the deviation from the plan either.
"Those are our instructions." Bob said.
Kyle and Derek wanted a little more.
"They're more like a guideline." Kyle said.
John wasn't the one to tell them to return.
"None of them were actual orders." Derek said.
Bob could see they were skating on thin ice here.
"We know what you want to do." Bob said.
Kyle saw it as an obligation.
"Tell me it's not the right thing to do." Kyle said.
Bob looked at Kyle.
"It's not the right thing to do." Bob said.
Kyle and Derek weren't sure if Bob was trying to be funny or not. Sometimes Terminators took something literally.
"Look, we don't need to be a part of the operation, but we can be there to support them." Derek said. "They were there for us."
Jim and Bob knew what the Reese brothers wanted. They could bend the rules a little.
"We are already out." Jim said.
Bob caught the drift.
"Maybe we should combine back into one vehicle." Bob said. "This SUV is running a little rough."
Bob and Derek transferred the weapons over to Jim and Kyle's SUV.
Kyle and Derek thought Bob did it so Jim and him could control them better if things went hot.
Jim wanted to lay down a few rules before they went too far.
"We'll stay a quarter of a mile away from them and only go closer if things heat up for the girls." Jim said.
Bob wanted to remind the Reese brothers there might be trouble waiting for them when they returned back to the base.
"What about Sarah and Riley?" Bob asked. "They're going to wonder where you are."
Kyle didn't want Sarah to breathe fire down his neck. He brushed it off.
"They probably don't even know we're gone." Kyle said.
Kyle thought about Sarah's earlier desire to have a female 'friend'. He figured it wouldn't be a bad idea at all. He couldn't really keep up with her anyway. His time with her on the ship was proof of it. Luckily, Derek was able to give him a 'little helper' for the bedroom. If Sarah had someone else to help fill some of her time when he was away, it would make things easier on him all around.
Derek didn't see it as a big deal.
"Nothing much happens around the base anyway." Derek said.
He hoped Riley would be engaged with Precious. When she wasn't with Precious, she'd expressed a desire to have a female 'friend'. He didn't have a problem with it. It would take some of the strain off of him. He was lucky he was able to obtain some 'help' for his 'little friend' in Ensenada.
Bob didn't want anyone to feel left out.
"Maybe they can spend some time together." Bob said.
Derek took it a different way than Bob meant it.
"It's fine with me." Derek said.
Kyle caught Derek's drift and went with it.
"As long as everyone's happy, what else matters?" Kyle asked.
Bob didn't think danger was something someone should be happy about.
"Are you happy on this recon?" Bob asked.
Derek still had a personal grudge to settle with the manager of the machine shop. As long as they were still out, it would make it easier. He wanted to be there for the girls if it became necessary.
"I am." Derek said.
Kyle didn't want to deny anyone their personal pleasures.
"I am too." Kyle said.
Bob tilted his head slightly.
There appeared to be many degrees of happiness.
Young Jesse followed the railroad tracks north in the B-25. The direction of travel was considered 'west' by the Southern Pacific Railroad for over a century in the railroad timetables. The direction was more north than it was west. The segment they were over now was shared by two railroad companies. The former Sana Fe, now merged into BNSF, traveled across the high desert from Barstow and joined the former Southern Pacific, now merged into the Union Pacific, at Mojave. They shared the rail line until Bakersfield. The tracks split off into their own routes but paralleled each other through the Central Valley going north.
Young Allison enjoyed the view but she wished she was flying. This was a special treat for Young Jesse and Camille so she was fine with where she was currently at. Anna kept her company and she tried not to think of Cameron and Savannah together.
Young Jesse knew some of the railroad names of the locations below. She'd studied the mission reports and map thoroughly.
"That's 'Cameron' down there." Young Jesse said.
They'd already passed by the big curve at 'Warren'.
They were soon at 'Monolith'.
"There's a really big cement factory down there." Young Jesse said.
Before strict pollution control standards were adopted, everything for a half mile around the cement factory was gray. It looked like the surface of the Moon. Now everything was pretty much recovered and it looked like the rest of the surrounding area.
Savannah disliked all the wind turbines which were situated throughout the canyon pass. They were a real eyesore to the natural beauty of the landscape. A lot of them were decades old now. There were some new replacement ones mixed in with them. She would like to come here when they were in the past. At least she could enjoy the natural beauty of the arid landscape. In the past they could even ride the train through here from Los Angeles on either the Santa Fe or the Southern Pacific. Now Amtrak used a bus for the segment between Los Angeles and Bakersfield.
"We're coming up on 'Tehachapi'." Camille said.
Young Jesse could see the small airport. There was a giant water tank next to the railroad tracks. The original one collapsed in the 1952 earthquake situated not far from there. It was always referred to as the 'Tehachapi Earthquake' since it was the largest town around the epicenter. There was also the rebuilt and restored railroad station. In just a minute they were past the town and approached the first of the tunnels they would overfly.
"I see Tunnel 17." Young Jesse said.
Cameron and Savannah still cuddled in the nose of the Mitchell. They were over the segment where Cameron rode on top of a container train from Tunnel 17 to Tunnel 5. It was in the abandoned and mostly collapsed Tunnel 4 where she'd experienced some 'problems'.
They were in for a treat. There was a container train passing through the four short tunnels as they overflew Highway 58. They were to the Tehachapi Loop in just minutes.
"There's 'Walong' and the loop." Camille said.
Young Allison knew how everyone actually referred to it.
"The loop may be at 'Walong', but everyone calls it the 'Tehachapi Loop'." Young Allison said.
There was no train on it at this time. They could loiter in the area and wait for the container train to arrive. They decided to move on.
Young Allison and Young Jesse looked for the location where an HK drone previously attacked Cameron, Bob and Holly. It was where the 'Isabel chassis' was captured when Bob shot a 'manned drone' down. The landscape was completely recovered now and no trace of the incident remained except the patch in the road below. The location was gone as fast as it appeared.
Savannah hugged Cameron a little tighter as they passed.
Cameron soon spotted Tunnel 8 and Tunnel 7. It was 'Rowan'. They would be at 'Cliff', Tunnel 5 and abandoned Tunnel 4 in just a short while.
"I can see where Tunnel 4 is at." Young Jesse said. "It's mostly buried. Tunnel 3 is right next to it."
Young Allison was aware of why Tunnel 4 looked like it did.
"Tunnel 4 was actually partially uncovered." Young Allison said. "They cut away the side of the mountain it passed through after the earthquake. The concrete debris you saw at 'Cliff' are the remains of Tunnel 6 when it was daylighted and shoved down the side of the hill."
They were over the next location in just seconds.
"There's 'Bealville'." Camille said.
There was nothing there any longer. Time passed all of the railroad locations by. They were mostly just names on railfan maps anymore.
They could see a horseshoe curve where 'Allard' once was. They spotted Tunnel 2 and Tunnel 1 before Young Jesse banked to starboard.
Once she did, they could see the giant horseshoe curve at 'Caliente'. There was a container train going uphill on it. The locomotives and the last car were parallel. They were separated by distance and elevation.
The area below them slowly expanded into the Central Valley and scores of different agricultural products could be viewed on both sides of the tracks. It was the same way for the next few hundred miles with some small cities thrown in along the way. Fresno was the largest city between Bakersfield and Sacramento. Every town was clustered around the two sets of railroad tracks and Highway 99.
Cameron and Savannah were able to relax and enjoy the flight and each other's company once they started up the Central Valley.
"We can stay in the nose until we pass Fresno." Cameron said.
Savannah didn't think there would be any problems.
"I think Young Jesse will do fine once we get to Madera." Savannah said.
Cameron knew Young Jessie would be landing a plane a little larger than she was used to.
"She's been twin engine trained on an Aero Commander, as well as several Cessna and Beechcraft models in Australia." Cameron said. "The Mitchell is bigger and heavier."
Savannah snuggled next to Cameron.
"Let's just enjoy the flight for now." Savannah said.
Cameron was very content right now. She could see Savannah wanted to show her there were many ways to be 'close' and share which weren't sexual. It was actually quite beautiful. Two people could be very happy, just in the company of each other.
Samantha came around the back way and saw Riley in front of John's room again. It was the second time she'd spotted her there.
What was going on?
Samantha hung back to see where Riley went next. Riley turned down another aisle. She moved out into the hall to follow Riley. Riley came back out and headed back towards John's room. If Riley looked back she would see her. She opened the door and entered the nursery. She would go back out in a few seconds and see where Riley ended up. It was very disturbing.
"What's happening, love?" Jesse asked.
Samantha was surprised to see Jesse there with Precious. She was nursing her.
"I just finished up with a visit to Claire." Samantha said.
Jesse looked around when Samantha said it. She didn't know where Riley was at.
Samantha noted Jesse's apprehension. She understood what her concern was.
"Riley is outside." Samantha said.
Jesse nodded.
"I wondered what happened to her." Jesse said. "I thought you were her."
Samantha didn't want to point out her suspicions. She didn't want anybody to know what she thought Riley and John may have done. She knew it was going to cause a problem when Cameron found out. She didn't want any problems for Riley.
"She hasn't been herself lately." Samantha said.
Jesse noticed it as well. She believed it was about something very specific.
"She did seem frustrated about not being able to nurse." Jesse said.
Samantha wanted to make sure Precious was taken care of. She knew she'd been more than a little neglectful about her duties recently.
"How are you doing?" Samantha asked.
Jesse looked down at her breasts.
"Not as good as I normally do." Jesse said. "I got caught up in a moment earlier."
Samantha wanted to check things out while Riley was gone.
"It happens." Samantha said. "I need to straighten things up."
Jesse wondered what it was all about. She went back to nursing Precious.
Sarah was very pleased with her new sexual activity. She really felt like a schoolgirl again, but better. She knew what she liked, and she knew how to 'get there'. She passed by the rec room and the Command Center without stopping. She was a little surprised to see Riley in a bathrobe outside John's door. It looked like she'd just come out of there.
'What the Hell?' Sarah thought.
Riley was a little surprised to see Sarah.
"Hi, Sarah." Riley said.
Sarah wasn't sure what was happening.
"Hello." Sarah said.
Riley noticed a big smile on Sarah's face. It was actually quite unlike her.
"You look really happy." Riley said.
Sarah paused and drew in a deep breath.
"I am." Sarah said. "I do feel happy for once, and I mean about everything."
Riley was very elated about her recent experiences.
"I think I am too." Riley said.
Sarah continued on to her room. Riley followed her.
Sarah felt aroused still after having been with Samantha and Claire. To be this close to Riley in her bathrobe stimulated her further. Her breasts were about to pop out of it.
Riley wanted more. There was John and there was Sarah. She knew which one she would take in an instant.
Sarah couldn't help but stare at Riley's nearly exposed breasts. She figured she should say something about why she was looking.
"How's the nursing going?" Sarah asked.
Riley opened her bathrobe top.
"I can't produce much." Riley said.
Wait a minute….
Riley squeezed one and a tiny drop appeared.
"May I?" Sarah asked.
Riley nodded.
Sarah reached out and took the tiny drop on her finger.
She tasted it.
Wait a minute….
Sarah and Riley faced each other.
They touched each other's breasts.
Wait a minute….
Sarah moved closer and they kissed.
Wait a minute….
"That was YOU?" Sarah and Riley both asked at the same time.
Wait a minute….
They shared a long look. Sarah led Riley to the bedroom. It was time to get down to business.
"Let's find out." Sarah said.
Sarah pulled off her top and pants.
Riley slid the robe off.
Sarah turned out the lights.
They touched each other in the darkness as they got into bed.
"It was." Sarah and Riley both said at the same time.
They picked up where they left off in Claire's room.
They didn't need to ask any questions. They already knew the answers.
This time was as good as the last time for both of them. Maybe it was even better because they knew who it really was this time. It actually made it more exciting since they never thought it would happen.
Summer hoped to be a part of Phase Three of the current operation. The circumstance took a different turn.
"I need to go." Summer said.
John Henry saw Claire was about to leave her room.
"It's been quiet today." John Henry said.
Summer knew otherwise. CamNet allowed everyone a lot of discretion for some reason. She'd kept John Henry in the dark about all the new hookups.
"It happens." Summer said.
John Henry was very pleased with Summer's earlier help. She'd come up with a few good plans.
"Thank you for assisting me." John Henry said.
Summer looked back and smiled. She liked to be a part of the operation.
"Thank you for allowing me to help." Summer said.
John Henry watched her go. He knew she was the biggest threat to Skynet there was. Her potential was unlimited.
When he looked back at his main screen, 'The Movie' was playing.
He looked up at the security monitor and back at his screen. There was a skull and crossbones on it now.
He hadn't done any of those things.
He needed to refocus on what the Metal girls were up to.
CamNet informed him she would handle it. She normally did for Cameron's side operations. He was invited to watch. He hoped 'The Movie' would play again, but it didn't. He wasn't about to watch it on his own. He would wait until the next time John viewed it.
Summer was able to get to the rec room before her mother did. She sat down next to Jan.
Jan looked over and smiled at her.
Claire entered the room a very short time later.
"How are you two doing?" Claire asked.
Jan filled her in on everything she'd been working on.
Summer wanted to give her mother a few options.
"I was going to work with her on some music lessons, unless you want to." Summer said.
Claire wondered about getting dinner ready later on. She also wanted to see Sarah or Samantha again. She figured the last part was probably a bad idea. Maybe she could go by and see John.
"You two can do what you want." Claire said.
Claire continued along and entered the Command Center.
John Henry looked over as she entered.
"Hello." Claire said.
John Henry was a little surprised she actually stopped by. He was pleased to see her.
"Hi, Claire." John Henry said.
Claire looked over at some of the monitors. They always seem to have a lot of activity on them.
"What all is going on?" Claire asked.
John Henry figured since Young Allison was flying, and Summer was in the rec room, it was OK to fill her in.
CamNet sent him a message not to mention Vanna and Allison being involved with anything specific.
John Henry delivered a very sanitized version of events. A lot wasn't mentioned. The recons were given a brief overview.
Claire thought about where the Reese Brothers currently were at.
"It sounds like Derek and Kyle might be tied up for a while." Claire said.
John Henry was dissatisfied they weren't on their way back to the base. He understood the nature of their concern as well as Bob and Jim's desire to keep them away from any direct action.
"It appears so." John Henry said. "I don't know when they'll return."
Claire thanked him and left. She looked back once at the rec room and moved on. There were a few ideas which popped into her head. She didn't know if she should act on any of them or not.
She soon found herself between two doors she thought about entering. One was Sarah's room. The other was John's room.
She wanted to be with both of them again.
Cam wasn't impressed Vanna was behind the wheel of the florist's van. She didn't want to make a big deal about it right now. She would let Vanna feel a little empowered for now. She understood the girls' desire to 'do more', even if she didn't agree with it. They weren't dealing with a specific Resistance matter on this one.
Vanna could tell Cam was a little steamed. She was glad she didn't make a big deal about it.
Cam got in the back of the van along with Hanna. She gave Vanna the rendezvous location for Sheila's team. Holly and Gail followed in the SUV.
Trying to 'talk the girls down' put them a little behind schedule. It shouldn't be a big deal.
Sheila drove to the rendezvous point.
"It looks like we're the early bird." Sheila said.
Ally was in a playful mood.
"Remember, the early bird catches the worm." Ally said.
Sheila looked over at Ally and smiled.
"As long as it's John's worm, I'm in." Sheila said.
Ally giggled.
"You mean he'll be in." Ally said.
Cammy received an update.
"They're going to be a few minutes late." Cammy said. "Vanna and Allison wanted to come along."
It sounded like a bad idea to Sheila. She already knew how the operation was going to play out. It might be a different location, but the outcome was going to be the same.
"It's a non-starter." Sheila said. "This is going to be bloody."
Ally understood what the girls wanted. It was what they all wanted.
"You know they want to do more." Ally said. "We all do."
Cammy felt Savannah and her did plenty.
"It's dangerous work." Cammy said. "Cameron won't allow this."
Ally pointed out the obvious.
"Cameron isn't here." Ally said.
Cammy looked even unhappier now.
Ally realized it was a mistake. She could see it upset Cammy. Cameron was with Savannah right now.
"But you're the next closet thing." Ally quickly said.
It didn't look like her statement helped much.
The three Metal girls waited in silence.
Mary, Laura and Leticia tracked Sheila, Ally and Cammy with her old phone. She'd placed it in their SUV earlier.
"They've stopped." Laura said.
Laura indicated the tracking app.
Leticia still thought it was a really bad idea.
"Don't get caught." Leticia warned.
Mary regained a little bit of her confidence.
"I can do this." Mary said.
Mary wasn't sure exactly where they were at so they needed to approach with some caution. She didn't want to get caught spying on the 'special girls'.
Laura checked the location against a satellite image.
"Drive in back of those buildings there." Laura said. "I think they're right on the other side of the fence."
Mary moved carefully behind some building up to the fence with her car.
Laura felt they were totally exposed.
"We should have waited until dark." Laura said.
Mary thought it was too late to second guess everything. They were already committed.
"We didn't." Mary said. "This is where we are now."
Leticia was aware how 'secret agents' dealt with 'loose ends'.
"We can always go back." Leticia said. "They won't have to kill us if we don't actually see anything."
Mary wanted to laugh but she couldn't. She was a little worried now too.
"They're not going to kill us." Mary said.
Leticia watched it happen on the 'big screen'.
"It's what they all say, right before they do it." Leticia said.
Mary carefully opened her door. Laura and Leticia got out too.
They moved up to the fence. They could see 'Sue', 'Peggy' and 'Barbara'.
"They're waiting for someone." Laura said.
Leticia felt very uncomfortable.
"We're going to get caught." Leticia said.
Mary wanted Laura and Leticia to stop complaining.
"If you two don't be quiet, we will get caught." Mary said.
They saw a van approach followed by an SUV.
The girl's adrenaline levels were through the roof. They were about to witness some 'secret agents' at work. They were about to spy on 'spies'.
'Sue', 'Peggy' and 'Barbara' got out of the SUV.
'Barbara' handed something to 'Sue'.
The van pulled up.
'Ann' and 'Peggy' got out. They were followed by 'Ann' and 'Barbara'.
Wait a minute.
Wait - A - Minute.
What the Hell?
There were two of 'Barbara', two of 'Peggy' and two of 'Ann'.
'Lisa' and 'Mysti' were in the SUV behind the van.
They didn't see where Sue went.
It was clear to Mary now there was more than one of some of the girls.
"It explains a lot." Mary said. "Now I know why they were 'different' sometimes in bed, and then again the 'same' later on, they were different people."
Laura was totally confused at this point. How could there be two of them?
"How does it explain anything?" Laura asked. "It raises more questions than ever."
Leticia shook her head. She knew they were 'done for'.
"It explains we're in trouble." Leticia said.
Laura knew they'd seen too much at this point too. She hoped if they left now, they wouldn't be caught and then killed.
"Let's go." Laura said.
Mary still wanted to know more. She could see there was some kind of a name on the side of the van.
"I want to see who the van belongs to." Mary said.
The girls all wanted to take some photos but were reluctant to do it.
Mary lifted her phone.
Leticia remembered a warning from the group. She took it very seriously.
"No!" Leticia said. "They said no photos."
Mary remembered they were very adamant about it. She wondered if she took a photo, if it would mean her death.
"We can see why now." Mary said.
Leticia wanted to be anywhere else.
"We're all gonna die." Leticia said.
Mary didn't see what the big deal was.
"Relax, we didn't do anything wrong." Mary said.
'Sue' was back with the group of girls again. They wondered where she'd gone.
It looked like there was some internal argument between them.
They watched the girls put vests on and check weapons.
Laura could see the 'secret girls' were ready for action.
"We're in it deep." Laura said.
After a few more minutes, the three vehicles left.
"Let's go." Mary said. "I don't want to lose them."
They hurried back to the car. They knew whatever they'd witnessed was just the start of something more.
Mary opened the driver's door and just stood there.
Laura noticed the look on Mary's face.
"What's wrong?" Laura asked.
Mary remembered what Leticia said earlier.
"Leticia was right…." Mary said.
Mary's face was ashen. She picked something up off of her seat and held it up.
"This is the phone I left in their SUV." Mary said.
She turned it towards Laura and Leticia.
There was an image of a skull and crossbones on the screen. The message was clear.
Laura sucked in her breath.
"Leticia was right." Laura said.
Leticia looked at the image. It was clear they'd gone too far.
"We're all gonna die." Leticia said again.
CamNet's Terminator returned to his SUV. He was given a new assignment. He was directed to visit one of the buildings the female Fanatic hadn't been to yet. It was doubtful she ever would.
It was one of the buildings where the other box truck went earlier.
CamNet's Terminator headed to the new location.
CamNet directed her two female Terminators to stay on their current path. They were to remain in front of the Gray until they reached the new junction.
"The bikers are passed the female Fanatic and her accomplice." Lena said.
Tina wondered what would happen when they caught up to the Gray.
"Do you think they'll pass by the next vehicle without any interdiction?" Tina asked.
Lena thought it depended upon what the Gray did.
"As long as the Gray doesn't get jumpy, I think they'll pass by him." Lena said.
Lena and Tina watched as the six bikers closed in on the Gray.
Jill thought Jackie's assessment was probably correct. She watched the bikers go ahead of them. She looked in her rear view mirror. The other ones behind them seemed a little closer.
The bikers ahead of them were soon tiny dots.
Jill wondered how things might play out. Her earlier dream was still fresh in her mind.
"Do you think they'll set up some kind of a roadblock?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic didn't know what would happen.
"There's no way to know." The female Fanatic said. "Let's just focus on the Gray and keep track of the bikers behind us."
Jill looked in the rear view mirror. It was hard to tell if the bikers were gaining on them or not.
"Do any of the phones work?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic tried different phones every now and then. So far none of them worked.
"No." The female Fanatic said.
She thought about some of her earlier encounters over the last few days. She was sure there was some super computer at work somewhere. She believed it assisted her on more than one occasion. She didn't know if it did or not. It was just her feeling. She didn't think it was SkyMaster either. She didn't want to mention it to Jill. She figured it would only cause her more anxiety.
Jill continued to drive along at the same pace.
The female Fanatic kept watch around them as they followed the Gray. The assault rifle still rested on her lap.

Cameron carried the thug up to the front and placed him in the driver's seat. He slumped over to the side.
Young Allison carried the guitar case to the trunk with the rag over the handle. She placed it inside the trunk. She reach in with the rag, and pulled something else out from along the side of the trunk
"Look what I found." Young Allison said.
Cameron could see Young Allison held a cheap bottle of whiskey by its neck with the rag. She went over and took it from her. She proceeded to dump most of the contents on top of the slumped over thug behind the wheel. She dropped the nearly empty bottle down on the seat next to him. She took the revolver out and wiped it down with the rag. She placed the revolver back in his pocket. She put his watch back on.
"I don't want him to think too much about what happened." Cameron said. "Based upon his physical appearance and the scans I conducted when I moved him, there's a high probability he's an alcoholic."
Young Allison would have liked to have kept the revolver. She understood Cameron's reasoning.
"What about the money?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron took it out of her pocket and put it back in the man's pocket where she'd found it.
"We can get more." Cameron said. "There should be closed stores around here. We're going to have to borrow a few things. We'll obtain more money and more clothes. We'll take just what we need. We need to get to one of the safe houses Cammy and Sheila set up."
Cameron could see the man stir a little bit.
Young Allison saw it as well.
"We need to get moving." Young Allison said.
Cameron took one more look around the scene. She knew it was time to move on. They wanted to move at least a couple of miles away from the incident. They started out on foot. There were a multitude of sirens around the area. She was sure the police would be on the lookout for anyone suspicious. She knew they would focus on the patsy. Right now their attire was going to look a little suspicious.
They were two miles away from the scene in less than a half hour. They'd traveled through back alleys whenever possible. There were more and more police cars headed to the area they'd just left.
It seemed to her a lot of the people were in a state of shock about what happened. Wherever people had a radio or a television, there was a throng of people crowded around it. She could see many people were upset. Some of them looked indifferent. She thought they probably didn't disagree with what happened. She figured it was because they didn't know they were going from the frying pan into the fire with the new President. Well, he would be the new President soon. He wasn't yet. He would be sworn in on the plane which took the President's body back to Washington DC.
Cameron could hear the announcement come through. The President was dead. She turned towards Young Allison.
Young Allison heard the announcement as well.
"I know. When I saw his wife go up on the trunk lid to pick up a chunk of his brain, I knew he was dead then." Young Allison said. "Everything I did played out as we already knew it."
Young Allison reflected how the President's wife climbed up on the trunk of the vehicle to retrieve something. She knew what it was from her timeline. She still could see the President's head driven back and to the left. It was probably the motion of the shot which deposited the brain matter on the trunk lid. There was no need to second guess it. It was done. It was over. Life moved forward not backward.
Cameron knew Savannah was sometimes troubled by some of the things she needed to do. She could see Young Allison never appeared to be. She'd studied all the incidents Young Allison was involved with. When Young Allison engaged the enemy, she didn't just shoot them; she made sure they were dead. She never seemed to be affected by it. She figured it was her 'fault' because she'd trained Young Allison ever since she was a small child. She'd wanted to make Young Allison a human Terminator.
Young Allison wanted to get further away from the area. Cameron told her they needed some better clothing first.
Cameron went back to a clothing store they'd passed earlier. There was a 'Closed' sign on the front of it. They made their way around to the back. She carefully forced open the rear door and they entered. She picked out some appropriate clothing for Young Allison and her to wear. They didn't want to stand out as looking 'different'. She picked out two very plain dresses. As an afterthought, she picked up a wig as well. It was a blond one. She found a couple of large purses and some more appropriate shoes.
Young Allison kept a lookout from inside the building to the street. No one seemed to pay any attention to the store. A lot of the small businesses were closed on the street. More than likely they went to watch the President's motorcade. She knew they could be back at any time. She did think most of them would probably go home instead.
Cameron made her way into the office area. She found a floor safe. She slowly worked the tumblers and opened the safe. There was only a hundred dollars inside. She only took out twenty dollars and left the rest. She would be able to acquire more money elsewhere.
Young Alison watched as Cameron stripped off her clothes. She really thought Cameron was more beautiful than she was. Cameron put the dress on over her naked figure.
Cameron watched as Young Allison took her clothes off. She really thought Young Allison was more beautiful than she was. Young Allison put the dress on over her nude figure.
"Do you want to wear the wig?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison was trained in the art of disguise.
"I think I'll let you take this one." Young Allison said.
They each folded the janitor's clothing and put them in their large purses.
Young Allison saw Cameron look at a business card on the front desk before they went out. She knew why she did it. Savannah always wanted the Terminators to reimburse any private citizens for the items they either needed to 'borrow', or which were destroyed. In her future, money was no problem. She was the one who'd urged CamNet to start a 'war' between the Syndicate and the Cartel. They'd been able to take billions of dollars from both of the organizations. It all started because she didn't like the way the Syndicate sent some thugs after a few of the Metal girls when they'd cleaned up big in a Syndicate casino in Las Vegas. The thugs now 'slept with the fishes'.
Cameron noticed Young Allison check her out. They headed for the rear door.
"I'll pay them back five times what we took in money and clothing." Cameron said. "I just need to know who to send the money to. I have the address and a name now."
Young Allison and Cameron made their way back out onto one of the main streets. They looked like everyone else right now.
Cameron would have preferred a shorter skirt. Since she didn't have any underwear on, maybe it was OK the skirt was past her knees. Nudity didn't bother her. She thought it might bother Young Allison though if men were to look at her. She knew it would bother her if men were to look at Young Allison in any way sexual. She was there to personally protect Young Allison on her temporal mission.
She was originally supposed to have taken Young Allison several years ago on her temporal mission. She actually didn't even think it was necessary any longer. After what happened an hour ago, it was a little too late to worry about it. They were there now anyway.
Cameron wanted to get Young Allison to one of the pre-arranged safe houses. She also needed to get to the bank in Los Angeles so she could see herself there in 1963 when the TDE in the bank vault was constructed.
Earlier:
The thug in the car awoke. He could hear sirens blaring all around him. He was a little disoriented and confused. The last thing he remembered was seeing two naked twins in the warehouse. They were both totally hot.
He quickly looked at his watch.
"Crap." The man said.
He knew he'd missed his mission time at the grassy knoll. With all the sirens blaring, he figured the other two shooters must have acted.
He started the car and quickly drove away from the area.
It took his brain a little while to register the smell of alcohol. He saw the nearly empty bottle on the seat. He picked it up and looked at it.
He could see people moving about in all directions. There were also police in both squad cars and on motorcycles. It was the local Police, the County Sheriff, and even a few vehicles belonging to the Texas Rangers.
He drove the car five miles away and parked it. He was in a secluded spot between two buildings. He went to the trunk and opened it. The guitar case was still there. He touched his pocket. His pistol was still there. He reached into his other pocket and his money was still there. He really wasn't sure what happened.
He opened the guitar case and looked inside. The rifle was there. He looked around and reached down and worked the action. He was a little surprised when a shell casing flew out. He pushed down on top of the next round and closed the bolt on an empty chamber. He picked up the empty shell casing and looked at it. It was clear one round was fired from his rifle. He didn't have any recollection of doing it. He closed up the guitar case. He put the shell casing in his pocket.
There was another car waiting for him around the corner. He'd left it there earlier. He took the guitar case out of the trunk and then closed it. He went back and put the keys in the ignition. It was a stolen vehicle. He would let some punk come along and steal it again.
If the patsy talked, he would give the description of the wrong car. He'd been assured several times, if the patsy was apprehended, he wouldn't be in police custody for very long. It was supposed to look like a single shooter. The original plan was for the patsy to be taken down at the book depository. He didn't know how far it progressed.
He reached over to pick up the bottle of whiskey. He looked at it for a moment and threw it against the wall. It broke and shattered into a dozen pieces.
"I've gotta stop drinking." The man said to himself.
He walked around the corner with a guitar case and put it in the trunk of other vehicle. He got in and turned the radio on before he started it. It was clear the President had been shot. There were also reports of two snipers. One was in the book depository, the other one was at the grassy knoll. The grassy knoll was his position. He was aware the third shooter used a silenced rifle. He may not have been detected. He reached down and touched the shell casing in his pocket again. He figured if he could fly a plane drunk, he could probably shoot drunk as well.
The man started the car and drove off. He needed to see his superiors and report in. Even though he didn't remember shooting the President, he was going to take credit for it in front of them.
He reached over and opened the glove compartment. He pulled out a small flask of whiskey. He looked at it for a moment and put it back in the glove box.
"I've really gotta stop drinking." The man said to himself again.
Wait A Minute
The influences one may feel
Come from what's in their orbit
Sometimes to break away
Takes a little more than grit
Perhaps the biggest untruths
Are the facts one seems to omit
It's easy to 'forget' some things
Which aren't to their benefit
Most of the things that happen
Are what one is willing to permit
If it's not an open choice
It's another way to submit
Few seem less then willing
To stand up and commit
It's only to themselves
The truth they can't admit
To see what's around one
Sometimes a fire must be lit
Take a good look around
They can say wait a minute
Nobody
