Good morning. How's your sleep, Deidara?" Mikoto smiled at him. She sat side by side in the dining room with Sasuke. Fugaku has gone earlier to Ninja Police Office so only three of them have breakfast today.

"Good morning," Deidara replied in the same manner. "It was great. Sorry, I'm late," he sat in front of Sasuke. It seemed like only the youngest Uchiha and Deidara had breakfast. Mikoto had just finished hers. Misty blue eyes looked down at his breakfast. A bowl of rice, a four-piece Tamago, a miso soup, and a salmon. Typical breakfast but for Deidara who rarely had homemade cook, it was mouthwatering. He took his chopsticks and began eating after, "Itadakimasu."

After he almost finished, he asked his boyfriend's mother, "Have Itachi eaten yet?"

Sasuke put down his mug harshly on the table. Startled both Deidara and Mikoto. They saw a deep frown on the teenager's eyebrows. Deidara raised one of his. He thought, this little brother of Itachi seriously has a problem.

Mikoto reminded his youngest son to behave with a form tone, "Sasuke," then smiled at Deidara, "Yes, Itachi has eaten. I ask him to buy me something. He'll be back soon."

At that moment, the front door was opened and Itachi's voice was heard. Mikoto went out of the dining room to welcome her firstborn. Deidara's eyes followed her out of the door. A stare in his direction perked his interest to turn his head back. He found that Itachi's little brother glared at him. It pissed him off. Deidara glared back.

"What's your problem, Lil bro?" He snapped. "If you have something to say, just say it."

Before Sasuke could say anything, Mikoto and Itachi came with a package in her hands. She said to Deidara after a glance at his firstborn, "If you and Itachi are ready, we can go to Kushina's house now."

"Brother, I want to train with you," said Sasuke.

All eyes were on the youngest Uchiha in the room. His face was void from any expression but Deidara could swear that teenager challenged him silently. Is he seriously will make Itachi choose between him and Deidara? Misty blue eyes narrowed at the teen Uchiha.

"Sasuke, I need to introduce Deidara to Aunty Tsunade," said Itachi.

"I don't see why Mother can't do it. You don't need to do it by yourself," he pointed out. He threw an annoyed gaze at Deidara who shared his sentiment.

This little brother of Itachi truly intended to show Deidara that he was more important to Itachi than him. He wanted Deidara to see Itachi would choose him over Deidara. What a foolish notion, the blond thought. Deidara was sure it will not happen. Itachi needed to be by his side if he want to introduce Deidara to his family, especially for the first time meeting. It was the right thing to do and Itachi was a gentleman. Yet, Sasuke looked pretty confident with his demand. Itachi would not abandon Deida—

"Alright," stated Itachi. Deidara's head snapped at his boyfriend incredulously. Misty eyes widened as the said man confirmed Deidara's denial, "I will go with you, Sasuke."

Say what?!

Deidara was still in shock when he walked beside Mikoto on their way to Hokage's residence. He wore a short tosca kimono with black obi and she has long sleeves black shirt with a grey tube. The gift for Kushina was in his hand. Deidara still couldn't believe it. Itachi chose to train Sasuke rather than stay with him. Itachi chose Sasuke over Deidara. Sasuke! Just a little brother!

From Itachi's words when they were on the Konoha's gate, the Uchiha said that he will not marry anyone other than Deidara. He was under the impression that he was irreplaceable for Itachi. Hence, it was never crossed his mind that Itachi would choose anyone over him. Deidara thought his biggest obstacle was to get Itachi's parents' blessings. Apparently, it was Sasuke.

It hurt him that Itachi left with Sasuke.

"I apologize for Sasuke, Deidara," Mikoto sent him an apologetic smile. "He has been rude to you."

Deidara sighed, "I guess it's not just my imagination, then. He hates me."

"I would not say hate, I think he's just jealous," she's giggled. Deidara looked at her in confusion.

"Jealous? Why?"

Mikoto's eyes stared ahead of the road, she smiled fondly, "Since he was small, Sasuke idolized Itachi. As you can guess, Itachi is his role model. He wants to join ANBU because Itachi used to be there. I think if Akatsuki recruits him, he will join in a heartbeat. And Itachi loves Sasuke almost as much as my granduncle Madara loved my grandfather Izuna, he was overprotective of him based on what I hear from my grandfather."

Deidara listened as Mikoto continued, "Siblings in my clan were famous for having brother-complex or sister-complex. It's maybe a bit intense for people out there but for us, Uchihas, it's just the way we live. Please, don't take it to your heart about Sasuke's jealousy. It's just the way we are."

He blinked as he let her word sank in. Deidara remembered Obito's explanation about Uchiha and sighed deeply. Hearing about their intense love run in their blood and experiencing on first-hand was totally two different things. It was beyond his expectation. He muttered, "I'll try. But, I don't understand. Well, I have no siblings after all..."

"You and me both," Mikoto nodded, "Our mother and our birth father died when we were birth. It was not a happy feeling..."

Misty blue eyes gazed at the woman beside him. Ah, yes, they were the only child and had single fathers, "Were you... close to your father?"

The woman turned to him with a sad smile, "No. I was raised by my grandfather Izuna until I was 8. After that, I stay at home alone because my father always had missions. We rarely talk."

"Me too," he admitted, "After I was placed under Onoki-sensei's tutelage, it's rare to see him. I don't even know where he is now."

Mikoto nodded in sympathy. She has been there as well. She knew what Deidara talk about. Therefore, she offered gently when they stopped at one house, "If you want to talk about this in the future, you can talk to me, Deidara. Anytime you want."

Smiled, he said gratefully, "Thanks, Ma'am."

Mikoto smiled then knocked on the door. A voice was heard then opened the door, a woman with purple eyes and long red hair greeted them. She wore a green apron above a white shirt a and green tube skirt. Her eyes brightened at the sight before her.

"Mikoto!" She hugged the Uchiha woman, "Kushina, I hope we are not late," said Mikoto. She gave her a wrapped gift which Itachi bought earlier.

"Thank you and you are not late," the red-haired woman giggled. "Punctual as usual. 11 o'clock sharp," she looked at Deidara and blinked in curiosity. "Mikoto, is he Itachi's..."

"Yes," Mikoto nodded and smiled.

"Blond, huh? Didn't see it coming," Kushina smirked. "Ah, come in, come in, please make yourself at home."

Mikoto and Deidara went along with Kushina. The wife of Yondaime Hokage showed them the living room with L shaped sofa in front of the TV. There were people in there already. Three people to be exact. One young woman with platinum blond hair and two men. One with white hair and dark hair. Deidara wondered who were they?

"Ah, you are here already," Mikoto smiled at the three. The woman grinned at Mikoto, "Of course, I don't want to miss my nephew's future husband."

"Nor do we," the white-haired man laughed.

"Understandable," Mikoto chuckled. She walked to sit on the middle side on L shaped sofa, near her cousin. Deidara sat beside his boyfriend's mother.

Kushina appeared at the door after shouting to his son, "NARUTO! COME HERE, OUR GUESTS ARE HERE!"Then, she entered the living room, "Sorry about that," she smiled guiltily and put down a cake and hot teas on the table. The dark-haired man smiled, "Don't worry about it, Kushina."

"Coming, I'm coming!" they heard hasty footsteps on the stairs before Naruto went in, "I met him yesterday, why should I meet him again?" He pouted. He walked in and sat on the floor in front of the table. His mother sat beside Deidara.

Kushina scolded him, "He will be your brother-in-law too after you get married so you should get to know him better, Naruto."

Both Naruto and Deidara were blushed lightly at the notion of becoming in-laws should they marry the Uchiha brothers. The adults laughed when they saw them smitten. The platinum blond-haired woman smirked, "Alright, alright, introduce us, Mikoto!"

The woman complied with a chuckle, "Tsunade-neesan, Jiraya-san, and Orochimaru-san, may I present to you, Itachi's boyfriend and future husband, Deidara."

"Pleased to meet you," Deidara bowed politely at them. Mikoto continued, "Deidara, Tsunade-neesan is my cousin. Her father and my mother were siblings. She looks younger than me but she is 15 years older. "

"Nice to see you," said Tsunade and winked. "I have my secret to looks young."

Mikoto addressed the men, "They are Jiraiya-san and Orochimaru-san. Three of them were the pupil of Sandaime Hokage. Jiraiya-san was the teacher of the current Hokage. Now, he trains Naruto as well. He is Naruto's Godfather."

Naruto warned Deidara in whispered, "Spoiler alert, he is Pervert Sage. He writes erotic books!"

"Hey, sorry to break it to you, but they are a best seller! A brat will never understand its beauty!" Jiraiya chided in. The cousins laughed at their antics but Kushina scolded Naruto again because he shouldn't interrupt Mikoto. The younger blond apologized then the Uchiha woman continued.

"The man beside him is Jiraiya-san's husband, Orochimaru-san," she said. "He trains Sasuke at the same time Naruto starts his training with Jiraiya-san. The three of them are Hokage's advisors now."

Kushina smiled as Mikoto's eyes looked at her, "And she is my friend, Kushina Namikaze. Yondaime Hokage's wife and Naruto's mother." She added that Kushina origins but Deidara knew that from Itachi's already.

"It's an honor to meet all of you," Deidara said with pride laced in his voice.

He knew Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru were legendary trios because of their heroic battles to protect bijuus. Shodaime Hokage was the pioneer of a campaign to prevent bijuus from being sealed. After he died, his successors followed his step and protect bijuu during their reigns as well. A special team was formed for this mission. Sometimes, it will be joined mission with other villages to fight people who want bijuus for an evil reason. Kushina was on this team as well during her time in Uzushiogakure. Deidara knew all of this because occasionally Akatsuki missions were to help this kind of team so Deidara was familiar with their achievements.

Orochimaru smiled at Deidara, "I heard you are an Akatsuki member like Itachi. I was recruited by Akatsuki as well before I need to leave because I'm getting married."

"Poor decision, I would say," Naruto jested. Teasing his Godfather.

Jiraiya smirked, "I will say the same to Sasuke if he, an ANBU, get married to a genin like you, Naruto."

"WHAT?!" Naruto blushed hard. "You took me training for years and I lost my chance to Chunnin Exam!"

Jiraiya laughed. Mikoto and Deidara chuckled. Amused at Naruto's outburst. Kushina scolded her son again for shouting in front of the guest. After Naruto pouted and calmed down, Deidara asked Orochimaru, "Who was your partner in Akatsuki?"

"Sasori."

"Oh, I'm his mission partner now, I was recruited 4 years ago, un," Deidara smirked.

Orochimaru said, "I see. I imagine he still grumpy one after missions, right?"

"Tell me about it," Deidara laughed.

They talked about old missions and Deidara talked about Iwagakure. Sometimes, Naruto talked about his training years with Jiraiya and how humiliating it was when he had to run from people who caught Jiraiya peeping on an onsen.

Tsunade teased Mikoto, "I don't know my nephews had a thing with blondie. Did they have a crush on me or something when they were small?"

Jiraiya laughed, "You wish, Tsunade!"

"Talk for yourself, Jiraiya. You had a crush on me before you start molesting Orochimaru," Tsunade retorted back.

"It was a long time ago!" Jiraiya muttered, "I don't how Dan married an old nagging hag like you."

Tsunade scoffed, "I don't know how Orochimaru put up with you."

Orochimaru sipped his tea, "Don't mind them, Deidara. They are always like this."

The others laughing, Kushina beamed at him, "I guess, with his courting you to get married, Itachi will officially become one of the candidates to be the next Hokage."

Deidara blinked, "Huh?"

Assumed the older blond didn't know the rule to be Hokage since Deidara was from Iwagakure, Naruto explained, "To be a candidate of the next Hokage, not only that person has to be remarkable shinobi, but also has to be in a married relationship."

Jiraya added, "We thought Itachi will never be one since he has no lovers to this day." Orochimaru let out his opinion, "But, if he gets married to you, he will be a candidate to be Godaime Hokage."

Kushina chuckled, "Maybe you will be like me, the spouse of Hokage in the future."

Misty blue eyes widened.

Jaw dropped.

Itachi is Godaime Hokage's candidate?!?!

When they reached the training ground, Itachi landed in front of Sasuke. He was silent for a moment before turning his body to his brother.

Sasuke smiled, "What do you want to do, Brother?"

"Sasuke, I want to talk to you," said Itachi calmly. Sasuke raised an eyebrow and sensed the older man want to talk something serious if the tone he used was any indication.

Sasuke asked after his smile slowly faded, "What is it?"

"Stop giving Deidara a hard time."

It was a fact and not an accusation. The younger one stiffened. His eyes widened. Itachi's gaze never relinquished from Sasuke's. The brothers locked their eyes in silence. It was futile to say otherwise because, unlike Itachi, Sasuke was an untalented liar. Sasuke rarely had the situation to make him lie, thus he was not familiar with the logic of lie.

He knew what his older brother meant by saying that. That was not the point that made Sasuke shocked to the core. It was the part where Itachi who defended Deidara. His beloved older brother never did that to other people. Itachi was always on Sasuke's side. Even if Sasuke and Naruto had a fought no matter how childish it was, Itachi always got Sasuke's back. That was the reason he was so confident when he requested Itachi to train with him. Now, he realized, his brother only want to talk to him in private. To defending an Iwagakure shinobi.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes and faced away, he muttered, "Got it."

"Thank you," Itachi smiled. In the dining room, he noticed Deidara looked so pissed and eyes on Sasuke. Deidara has a short temper but Itachi knew that his boyfriend was like that because there was something that triggered him. In addition, last night Deidara mentioned Sasuke so it was not hard to put two and two together when he saw they glared at each other in the dining room.

He has no intention to leave Deidara alone but he knew Sasuke and how to handle his little brother. He didn't want to humiliate Sasuke by addressing his rudeness in front of everyone. Therefore, he followed Sasuke here to talk about it. "I'm sorry, Sasuke, I need to go—"

"Well, well, looks who is here," a voice made the brothers turn to the two men holding babies in their hands. One of them wearing a mask and has silver hair. The baby on his hand has dark brown hair. Another man has a typical Uchiha face and messy short curly hair. The baby in his hand also has the same hair like him.

"Kakashi, Shisui," Sasuke noted.

"It's rare to see you two together nowadays," Kakashi greeted them as they walked head to the brothers. Sasuke and Itachi followed their suit.

Itachi admitted, "I'm taking two weeks off from Akatsuki."

Shisui grinned, "I know, you brought home your sweetheart, aren't you?"

"Everyone talks about that," Kakashi agreed. "So, where is he? Everyone is curious to see who is the one who conquered Itachi Uchiha's heart."

"He is at Hokage Residence to meet Aunty Tsunade and Kushina-sama. I'm on my way there, would you like to come?" Offered Itachi. They accepted so they began to walk together. Smiled at the babies on his former ANBU fellow, Itachi asked, "I take it that Iruka and Nanao are on duty right now. So, you take care of your sons?"

Kakashi sighed deeply, "Yeah, Iruka had parents meeting in Ninja Academy. On my day off… I have to take care of Hoki. Luckily, Shisui also had the same situation."

Shisui chuckled tiredly, "Nanao has a mission today so I take care of Hisui. I hope her mission will be finished soon."

"Aren't they like only one-year-old? Why did you two look so tired just by taking care of a baby?" Asked Sasuke. "How hard it could be?"

Both fathers snapped their heads at Sasuke and smirked, Kakashi said, "I will be waiting the day you have your first kid, Sasuke. Then, we can talk about this thing."

Sasuke blinked in concealed confusion. Itachi chuckled along with the two fathers. The younger Uchiha became more confused. Unbeknownst to them, Sasuke will not be around to experience the hardships of the first-time father.

When they arrived at the Hokage Residence, Naruto was the one who opened the door. The moment Itachi stepped into the living room where Deidara was with the legends trio, he was not expected his boyfriend to—

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

—shouted at him with the finger pointed at his face.

"ITACHI! YOU!" Deidara glared at him.

Itachi blinked, "Yes?"
