Sauske knew all to well the look in Gaara's eyes. Hinata had caught his attention. She was to dense to even realize it. It was the same look in his eyes when she finally caught his interest. He didn't know exactly why it took him so long to finally pay attention to her. She was everything a man could possibly want. He blamed it on his revenge. He wasn't interested in girls at that time. Even them Sakura was always annoying the fuck out of him, making him lose all interest in girls in general. His eyes closed and he drifted into a deep sleep. Unaware that Gaara was making his way to Hinata room.

Still left confused Hinata could not fall asleep. She didn't understand was Sauske meant. She knew about Gaara's past but he had changed due to Naruto. She was interrupted out of her sleep when she heard a light knock at her door. She slowly stood up to answer it. Her eyes almost popped out of her sockets "Gaara-sama."

"Just Gaara Hinata." Hinata shook her head and bowed. "I am sorry Gaara-sama. But I've been taught to show respect to my superiors."

Gaara knew it was asking too much of her. After all manners was definitely something she was raised with. "Ah. Walk with me?" He quickly turned with out giving her a chance to speak. After all Sauske room was right next to hers. He was trying to keep the conversation as short as possible.

Hinata once again confused just followed. Kami-sama was her day just confusing. "Gaara-sama. Where are we going?" They both walked through the big hallways. These buildings where definitely different from the ones back home. Finally after was seemed like forever they stopped walking.

Hinata had waiting for Gaara to proceed forward. He seemed as if he was waiting for something. She didn't know him so well she didn't exactly know how to feel around him. One thing was certain she didn't feel scared around him. She didn't feel safe either if she was being honest with herself. But there was something about him now that peaked her curiosity.

Gaara opened the huge double wood door. He walked inside and Hinata followed quietly behind. As soon as she stepped inside she saw a massive collection of books. He had a library! "Gaara-sama! This is beautiful. Oh my this isn't anything like we have back at home." She smiled as she scanned the books.

"I thought you might like it" Gaara observed her as scanned the books. She certainly wasn't the girl he knew years ago. No she was a women now. She was always a caring person. That much he could tell. "Hinata. Why are you traveling with the Uchiha?" Gaara was never one to beat around the bush.

Hinata froze when she heard the question. It completely caught off guard. She turned and gave him her full attention. " It is my mission assigned to me by the Hokage." She looked at him and waited for him to say something.

"Mission. Hinata news travels fast. You're trying to become Jonin correct?"

"Hai?" she owlishly blinked.

"I could help you. After your mission that is."

"Gaara-sama I am honored that you would even consider helping me. But I don't want to be a burden. Furthermore why me?"

"I see potential in you. You have also caught my interest" he smirked once he saw her blush. " You have changed quite a bit since we last see each other."

Hinata was completely dumbfounded. She opened and closed her mouth multiple times. Gathering her thought she was finally able to speak. " I see. I am sorry but I cannot accept Gaara-sama offer."

Gaara smirk vanished from his face. "Oh?"

He slowly walked up to her seeing her squirm a bit made him want to get close to her personal space. "Hinata do you fear me?"

"N-n-o" she whispered. She was stuttering! She was nervous. If he didn't know it then he knew now. She inhaled and exhaled. "I am not afraid of Gaara-sama. I know who you are. But I do not fear you."

He walked closer to her personal space. "Then consider my offer." It wasn't a question either.

She could smell him. And Kami-sama did he smell heavenly. She was hypnotized by his eyes. She slowly leaned in just enough to give him a small kiss. But Gaara had other plans in mind. He grabbed her by her waist and deepen the kiss. She tasted like jasmine tea. Her lips were just as soft as they looked. Before they knew it they were both fighting for dominance. Hinata had never felt so warm in her life. Something has awoken from within her. She wanted more. But reality hit her like a ton of bricks. She was kissing Gaara. She quickly pulled away. "I-I am sorry" she quickly walked passed him leaving the room.

Gaara turned to the window to his right. He gave a victory smile and proceeded to leave the library himself.

To say Sasuke was pissed was an understatement. He was furious. He had seen everything go down. And that bastard knew he had been watching. That smile said it all.
