"Hinata are you listening?" Ino looked at Hinata with concern in her eyes. She's been talking for the past ten minutes. She wasn't sure if the Hyuuga heiress had heard a word she said.
"Y-yes Ino-chan. I'm sorry" she put her head down in embarrassment. Of course she couldn't concentrate he was right here!
Hinata almost groaned in annoyance. She's been avoiding him for three days now. She thought she was in the clear. Until Ino invited her for a friendly get together lunch. Well to be honest Ino dragged her to Yakiniku Q. It was only Shikamaru, Choji and Sai when she first arrived there. Now it was Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura there as well. The air was so thick you could've basically cut it. Everyone else was oblivious of the tension between Naruto and Sakura but she wasn't.
She knew what has happened a few weeks ago. It didn't end well between the two. If only Kiba and Shino were here. But from what Ino had said, they were in a mission and weren't coming back until tomorrow. This was too much for her. She could feel Sasuke eyes on her, she didn't need to see him to confirm this.
"I appreciate you guys coming out, unfortunately not all of rookie nine could be here. But it means a lot to me and this bastard I'm sure" Naruto smiled.
"Yes its quite nice that Hinata won't be needed for your missions. I get to have her more to myself for girl time." Ino smiled at Hinata. Totally unaware of the glare Sasuke sent her away. She was too busy smiling at the Hyuuga heiress.
Unfortunately Sakura had caught it. She bit her lip in frustration. She couldn't understand why Sasuke showed interest in Hinata. All those years chasing after him, hoping one day he would be grateful for not giving up on him. She was just a dumb teenager holding onto some stupid fantasy. She couldn't blame Hinata though. How could she when she had taken Naruto away from her without a second thought. Not once did the shy heiress confront her about it, even if everyone knew how much she loved the blonde. As much as she didn't want to, an apology was in order.
She saw Naruto sit down and he didn't once bother to look her way. She knew she loved the blond but couldn't help to feel hurt by Sasuke after all those years. Naruto made her happy and he always made sure she was well taken care of. She didn't hold an ounce of remorse for Hinata when she accepted Naruto proposal to marry him. She was such a hypocrite.
Hinata sat in silence as she ate her food only nodding to what Ino was saying. Pretending to listen. That was until Ino said something that ruined the rest of the meal. "Hinata we should set you up in a blind date. Your basically the only who hasn't hooked up-" she was instantly cut off when Sasuke slammed his hands on the table and slowly stood to glare at Ino.
"Set up someone else!" His shraingan swirling as he spoke.
"Sasuke your eyes! Fix them now!" Naruto also stood from his seat. This was getting out of hand.
"Tch." Sasuke was forever grateful that he was sitting on the last seat as he left. The nerve of that bitch. Didn't she know that Hinata already had him?!
Naruto gave everyone and apologetic look and quickly rushed after Sasuke.
Everyone in the restaurant quickly started gossiping to each other on what just had happened.
Hinata's teammate only looked at her for an explanation. But she only kept quiet and was about to excuse herself until Ino decided to speak.
"Hinata are you with Sasuke?" Never in a million years did she think Hinata would hook up with Sasuke. As far she remembered Hinata was never into Sasuke.
"A-ano I-I…" Hinata huffed in frustration. What in the world was she suppose to say? No I was never into Sasuke but he took interest in me. He kisses me whenever he the chance and I actually like it but I don't love him?
"As if!" Sakura scoffed, glaring to the side. She's had enough of this. She didn't give a damn about morals at the moment. She finally decided to looking into Hinata's eyes. Enough was enough. She didn't deserve Sasuke. Sasuke was meant for her not Hinata. "We all know she's not much to look at. Why would Sasuke want her? After she chased after Naruto for how long and he never once looked her way." Yes her words were cruel but she didn't care at the moment. She smiled in satisfaction when she saw the hurt in Hinata's eyes.
"Sakura!" Ino yelled and stood angrily to stare at her so called friend. She couldn't say she was surprised though. It was Sasuke they were talking about, someone the pink head was utterly obsessed with.
"Ino-chan, It's alright" Hinata slowly stood and patted her friends shoulder in reassurance. She turned to Sakura and smiled her way. "Sakura-san, you are right about what you said. Everyone knows how much loved Naruto. And yes he never once looked my way." She saw how Sakura lips into a smirk. "However I never once chased After Sasuke, yet he decided to take interest in me. You chased him for how long? Now that Naruto broke off with you due to your stupidity you sit there and still want to chase after Sasuke." She wanted to smile when she saw Sakura's smirked disappear. She looked like a fish out of water. "Whatever is going on between me and Sasuke is not anyones business." She turned to Ino and smiled once more.
"Arigato Ino-chan for inviting me." She bowed and left the restaurant.
Ino smiled at the retreating form of the heiress. She then looked back at Sakura and smirked her way. "You can't always have everything Sakura" With that being said she called the waiter and asked for the check.

Naruto and Sasuke finally made it to the training grounds. Neither had exchanged words. Naruto only followed Sasuke but he already knew where they were headed. Sasuke needed to vent and he knew it.
Naruto exhaled knowing he was about to face an emotional Sasuke.
"Out of all the females in Konoha, why her?" Naruto had to ask, curiosity got the best of him.
"Hn, it doesn't matter who the person is as long as you can achieve happiness from it" he smirked as he took out his Katana. "I struck gold. Untouched. All this time she spend chasing after you Baka. And you were chasing after Sakura." He let his smirked grow wider when Naruto was in front of him in a flash.
Metal hit metal. Naruto didn't mean to tap into his nine tail chakra. But Sasuke's words pissed him off to no end. Maybe he didn't deserve Hinata due to the fact that he was idiot but he was sure Sasuke didn't deserve her at all.
Sasuke delivered a side kick enough for Naruto to skid back a few feet. In no time Naruto was running towards him.
"Phoenix flower jutsu." He smirked when he seen Naruto take a few step back after seeing the shurkien hidden in the fire. He knew bringing it out his Susanoo would definitely have the Hokage over in no time, however he needed to vent.
"You'll only end up hurting her." Naruto released his kyuubi mode seeing how Sasuke hadn't uses rinnegan or his susasnoo. He knew that being emotional would get him nowhere with Sasuke.
Sasuke's sword chirped with the electricity running through it. "Baka, how can I hurt her more than you already have? I don't have to state the obvious Naruto, the Uchiha bloodline can not end with me" he charged Naruto with high speed.
Naruto was about to counter his attack when the ground beneath them shook and was crumbling down. They both jumped in the opposite direction.
"You two better have a good explanation for this" Tsuande spoke dangerously low. She had sensed Naruto chakra spike. She taught someone had invaded the hidden leaf village. She didn't expect to find these two imbeciles.
Naruto looked at Sasuke with jealousy in his eyes. He had to have everything didn't he? The one girl in the village that never looked his way. He supposed he couldn't blame though. He chased after his best friend for years. Now that he was willingly to live in the village, Naruto knew he couldn't get in the way of his friends happiness. Even if that meant giving up on his own happiness. He was being selfish and he knew it.
"I get it Sasuke." He gave him his usual grin although it didn't reach his eyes. "If you mess this up, I'll be there for her" his grin turned into a smirk.
"Hn, not going to happen" he sheathed his sword back in place. "Ja-ne" he lazily waved at Naruto and headed towards his house.
"Wait Sasuke-" Tsunade scream after Sasuke. That little shit.
"Baa-chan. We were only training." Naruto smiled sheepishly at her while rubbing the back of his head. He knew she wasn't in a good mood.
"Baka!" She screamed at him, but held back in punching him. She saw the hurt in his eyes but made no comment about it. "Come on Baka. You're buying me a drink" Naruto was an adult now after all. If he wanted to talk she would listen.
"You're on!" Naruto smiled as he walked side by side to the former Hokage.
