Title: Libby's Diary
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters... except the kids.
Summary: A diary kept by Susie and Evan's 13 year old daughter.
2nd Sptember, My room
Dear Diary,
My name is Liberty Susan Jones. My parents are Susie Rayner-Jones and Evan 'Jonesy' Jones. I am 12 years old and live in Mt. Thomas with my parents and brothers. My brothers' names are Dylan (15), Lucas (8) and Ace (4). I will also have a younger brother or sister soon as mum is having another baby in about 6 months.
My mum and dad are both police constables and work at the local police station. After school some days I go and visit everyone at the station. When I go I always get coffee for everyone. Over the years I have memorised who has what.
My favourite people at the station are Amy, Alex, Joss, Kelly and PJ. I also like the boss – sometimes. He has a grand daughter who is my best friend. Her name is Kiralee.
Yesterday it was my birthday – the 1st of September. I am having a party tomorrow. I turned 12 then. I got this diary from Amy and Alex. They are some of my parent's best friends. They also have three children. They are Lillie-Anna (15), Millie (13) and Nathan (9).
My best friends are Kiralee, Millie and Rhea. Rhea's last name is Howlong. We all go to Mt. Thomas High School and are in year 7.
After school on Friday we always go to the station. On Friday night we all go to the pub – the imperial – and have dinner and drinks. I love going to see Chris, she's the lady there. We aren't really meant to be in the pub but Chris lets us, also all the people we are with are police officers so we don't get in trouble.
I don't think I want to be a policewoman when I grow up. My parents are both police officers. They are my favourite people in the world and I love them heaps. My grandfather – dad's dad - was a police officer who was really high up in the ladder. He died before I was born though so I never met him. My uncle – dad's brother – Dylan, who my brother was named after was a detective too. I think Dylan wants to be like dad and get into the police force. We all know so much about it and can't help but try and be detectives sometimes when mum and dad talk about work at home.
One time I did help as they were trying to solve this case about a lady who was killed. Everyone thought it was suicide but then her daughter was in my class and she told me her stepfather was to blame. She was scared because he had said to her that if she went to the police he would kill her too. So she came to me instead. She knew my mum and dad were both police officers. So really she didn't tell the police…she told me who told the police. Ever since that people come to me with their problems.
I better go now as it is 7-00pm on Saturday night and Alex and Amy are coming over for tea tonight with their kids. We always do that every second Saturday night. Every other one we go to their house. They usually come at about 7pm do I better go.
Love,
Libby
