This fanfic is an interpretation of the aftermath of what happens following the events of Season 2 Episode 21 of The Owl House. After "defeating" Emperor Belos and escaping the clutches of the Collector, the heroes were pushed through the portal to the human realm by their friend, King, and now Luz Noceda and her four friends from the Boiling Aisles, Amity Blight, Augustus 'Gus' Porter, Willow Park, and their friend and the former Golden Guard, Hunter are now stranded in the human realm with nowhere else to go except for Luz's house.
I wonder how Camila will react after meeting four young witches from the demon realm. I hope season 3 of the show comes soon and I also hope that the fandom for the series convinces Disney to give it a third season that's as long as the third season of Amphibia, like it deserves.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Owl House. All rights for it go to the Disney company.
Luz and her friends Willow, Augustus, Amity, and Hunter were fighting against Emperor Belos, or as he's known by his real name, Philip Wittebane, and it looked like they were about to lose the battle with him. The Day of Unity was upon the Boiling Isles and everyone in the land who was branded with a Coven Sigil was about to suffer from the draining spell. They planned for Eda to hopefully corrupt the draining spell with her curse, but even that plan backfired on them. All hope was pretty much lost as there was no way for the five young witches to stop Philip and everyone in the demon realm was about to die.
Luz and her friends were completely backed into a corner drained of their energy from the battle and Philip, in his beastly, slimy, demon form was about to slice the children in half with his scythe-shaped hand. But before anyone knew what was going to happen next, a new player came out of nowhere and changed everything. Luz opened her eyes to see that the deformed emperor's attack never touched them and someone stopped it with just his fingers.
"Whatcha playing?" The one who stopped Belos appeared to be a little boy with big red eyes wearing a purple robe decorated with sun and moon patterns. He turned to glare at Belos, clearly unhappy with how the former human broke his promise with him earlier and betrayed him by throwing him off a bridge.
"Collector?" Belos hid his terror as he was quite surprised to see the boy that he "promised" to free released from his magical imprisonment. "You're free, just as promised."
"As promised?" The Collector began. "I remember someone throwing me off a bridge. I'm not angry though. Say, you wanna play tag?" The boy asked before twirling his finger around and pulled Belos toward him. "I'm it." And with just a tap on Belos' nose, he was instantly shot above the door and splattered all over the wall. With his goo dripping on the floor, Luz and her friends watched in shock and horror at the Collector's immense power.
"Too slow!" He laughed before turning to the others. "You guys look slow too. Do you need a head start?" He began walking towards them before King got in his way.
"Whoa, whoa, Collector! Buddy, pal!" King exclaimed. "King!" The Collector happily shouted.
"Remember what we talked about? You gotta help all my friends outside, or, uh, we won't get to play Owl House."
The Collector then walked passed the group as they fearfully cleared a path for him. He looked outside to see the solar eclipse and then widened his eyes to see everyone passed out on the ground as the draining spell sucked their magic away. "Hmm. Okay! Boop." To everyone's shock, the Collector just pointed his finger directly towards the moon and easily brought an end to the draining spell just by using his finger to move the moon away from the sun. After that, everyone with a Coven Sigil woke up feeling groggy from the draining spell and instantly recovered.
After using his powers to set up for their game of "Owl House," the Collector began making all of the stones float to take the entire island apart piece by piece. As everyone saw the place come apart, there was only one way for them all to make it out, Philip's portal to the human realm. The five witches raced toward the portal across the flying stones. The only problem was that the portal could barely stay connected to earth and they were running out of time.
So, to keep it open, Luz used her plant magic to hold the portal together with her vines. She managed to keep it open but her friends didn't go through yet. They were waiting for Luz but she told them to go through before she lost her grip on it. Unfortunately, it became worse for Luz once the Collector started floating King off of her shoulder to drag him his way.
"King!" Luz shouted, grabbing King. "Luz!" Amity said as she rushed back to them.
Luz struggled to keep her grip on King while also holding the portal together. "We gotta stick together, we gotta stick together!" Luz said.
But then, King decided it was best to do the opposite. "I'm sorry, not this time. But I can keep you safe."
"No!" Luz replied as tears began to drip down her face.
"Luz, I'm so happy I had you as a big sister." That was the last thing King said to her before using his sonic scream power to force Luz to release her grip on him, which also resulted in forcing Luz towards Amity and knocked all five of them through the portal. The young human and her four witch friends were then pushed out through the front door of the house where Luz first entered into the Boiling Aisles and found themselves in the human realm on a rainy night.
"No! King!" Luz shouted before rushing back to the door. But it was too late as the door already closed before she could reach it. She opened the door again with the hope that the portal would reactivate, but all she could see was the inside of the house. She tried opening and closing the door a few more times before finally realizing that it was too late.
Her friends were shocked as Luz turned back to them and it was confirmed that their only way back to the demon realm was closed for good now and Gus broke down crying at the realization.
Luz walked back to them and saw the looks on their faces. It was true, they were completely cut off from their home and there was no way for them to get back now. "Guys, I-I-I'm-" Luz couldn't find the words to describe what just happened and neither could anyone else. Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter now stood silently in the rain feeling the truth of their situation hit them like a truck about to run them over.
This continued for a few more seconds as everyone finally stood up. Gus was still crying until Hunter put his arm around his shoulder the boy's shoulder to comfort him. "I'm sorry guys." Luz finally got the words out of her throat, knowing that it did little to ease their pain.
"You okay, Gus?" Luz asked in concern.
"Yeah." Gus answered with a sniff, wiping the tears from his eyes. He looked around at their new surroundings and realized where they were. "So, this is the human realm, Luz?" Gus asked and Luz nodded.
"I always dreamed about coming here." Gus began before looking at the ground with dejection as his tears started flowing again. "But, this...isn't how I was hoping to feel on my first trip here."
"What do we now, Luz?" Willow asked with very little feeling in her voice. "Why are you asking me?" Luz replied.
"You're the only human here, Luz." Amity said. "So, you tell us what to do." Luz knew that Amity was right and sighed in defeat as she could only think of one course of action for them to take at this point.
"I know. Come on guys. I know of only one place for us to go." Luz began walking through the rain as all of her friends followed her to wherever she was taking them. They instantly stopped in front of a house as Luz knocked on the door.
Inside the house, Luz's mother, Camila Noceda, was just cooking something in the kitchen with Vee, the shapeshifting basilisk from the demon realm that Camila took into her home when she disguised herself as Luz. Once she heard the knock, Camila went to answer the door and quickly gasped in shock at the sight in front of her. It was none other than her daughter along with four other children around her age, looking hurt and disheveled in the rain.
"Hey, Mom. I'm back." That was all Luz could say as she looked to her mother as her eyes began tearing up.
