Chapter 1507
Workout Madness
Previously:
Bob, Jim, Cam and Gail went to Van Nuys Airport. They were going to fly to the far side of the mountain where the new Skynet activity was detected. They would hike in over the hill and arrive after dark. They should arrive unannounced.
The Blackhawk was serviced in the hangar next to the Resistance hangar. It was actually the second Resistance hangar at this point. Cameron was very persuasive in her acquisitions.
The P-51 Mustang and T-33 Shooting Star were both sitting on the tarmac. The Mustang was running. It was the work of Cameron's hangar crew of Terminators. They weren't part of the Resistance, even if they worked to assist it.
Jim thought it was highly unusual.
"What's up with the TF-51?" Jim asked.
They all wondered the same thing. It seemed like a choice assignment for whatever was about to happen.
The Blackhawk was pushed out of the second hangar.
They were somewhat surprised to see Hanna and Samantha arrive soon after them.
Samantha headed for them.
Hanna headed for the P-51 Mustang. It was actually a TF-51 dual control Mustang. She did a 'once over' and climbed inside. She strapped in and taxied away.
Steve and Tom were with the Blackhawk as the pilots.
They were about to start it up. They saw Samantha, Gail and Cam were there.
Needless to say, everyone there looked at Samantha's breasts again. It was too impressive not too. The tight shirt she wore made her look topless.
Steve wanted to offer the Metal girls a choice.
"Two of you can be the pilots." Steve said to the female Terminators. "Tom and I can go on the mission."
Samantha looked over at the T-Bird. It was configured as an AT-33. There were guns in the nose, with a hard point, and four rocket stubs on each wing.
"I have another assignment." Samantha said. "I'm supposed to follow Hanna and go to Castle Airport."
They heard the Mustang on the runway. It sounded like Hanna was pushing it.
Samantha looked over towards the runway. She knew her aircraft possessed a superior top speed.
"I'll catch up to her with the T-Bird before she gets there." Samantha said. "She's headed there too."
The Mustang roared by in the near distance on the runway. It was already airborne.
Gail and Cam both declined to let Steve and Tom take their place. They thanked them anyway. They were going to go with Bob and Jim. They appreciated the chivalry. They were all Terminators.
Samantha climbed inside the T-Bird and fired up the turbine.
Steve and Tom did the same thing with the Blackhawk. The rotor started to spin.
Samantha taxied away and disappeared around the corner of the hangars.
The recon team waited just outside the Blackhawk to watch her take off.
"She'll catch Hanna in fifteen minutes." Bob said. "She has a speed advantage."
Jim was fascinated by her outfit.
"I liked her top." Jim said. "It fit nicely."
Bob grinned.
"Affirmative…." Bob said.
Gail and Cam both looked down at their breasts. They thought they were good too. They both liked the way Samantha looked as well. Maybe it was because of her new jewelry. It was as evident as it was prominent.
A minute later they heard the jet at full throttle as it streaked down the runway. They watched it pass by. It was still on the runway. Earlier the Mustang was up but stayed low as it passed by them. The T-Bird needed more runway to take off and land.
Gail and Cam climbed into the Blackhawk. Their gear was there waiting for them. Bob and Jim joined them. They closed the doors and geared up. As soon as their vests were on they sat down and buckled up. Steve took the Blackhawk into the air. They headed towards the east. John Henry and CamNet would make sure all of them were given clear airspace.
John Henry gathered any information he could on the mine. He was able to find some historical documents in a university archive. They weren't online.
He sent Dan and Frank off to obtain them. They would copy them in with their phones and their visual files. It would all be downloaded and sent back to him, hopefully before the team on the Blackhawk started out from their LZ. They still needed to arrive.
John and Vanna shared a little longer. They were side by side right now. They looked over at each other's faces.
Vanna was surprised she was able to be with John again. She wondered how much longer Cameron would allow them to share with him. She really wondered what was next for them.
"Where do we go from here?" Vanna asked.
John wondered about it himself. He could only go by what Cameron said previously.
"I really don't know." John said. "Cameron said the honeymoon ends today."
Vanna kissed John.
"Then I really appreciate what she's allowed." Vanna said. "I also thank you."
Vanna knew it was what Cameron wanted all along for them.
John wondered about Vanna's past. He hoped she was able to slay the demons which haunted her. She was much more relaxed and more herself this time. He really thought it's what Savannah would be like.
"There's no thanks in love. It was what she wanted for everyone." John said. "We all heard it for years. It's what we all wanted. It was what I wanted too."
John and Vanna shared a tender long slow deep kiss.
Vanna thought it was more than just what everyone wanted. She believed Cameron wanted something else.
"I think she wants to see how many of us can get pregnant." Vanna said.
John already wondered about it.
"I thought it was just supposed to be Young Jesse." John said.
Vanna doubted it. A group of females who were continuously together, would slowly all end up on an almost identical monthly cycle. It happened to them years ago.
"We're all on the same cycle." Vanna said. "Cameron knows it."
John figured Cameron knew a lot of things. He really wondered now if anyone else was pregnant. He knew Allison was again, but they never seemed to last too long. It was something Cameron did on her own with Allison many times. None of them were accomplished through a traditional conception. It was something he would like to see changed. He did need to think about the implications of what Vanna indicated.
"So maybe there are five of you pregnant now?" John asked.
Vanna knew the girls from the future usually ended up with a terminated pregnancy.
"Young Jesse and Claire should do better." Vanna said. "There's no guarantee, John."
John still looked into Vanna's eyes. He hoped for more with all the human females. He really doubted Cameron would ever let the Metal girls have their 'one time' like she'd promised them. It was before she stripped their virginity away as she controlled their chassis. Cameron already got what she wanted from them.
"We can do this as often as it takes if you want to keep trying." John said.
The pregnancy terminations always hurt Vanna. She didn't want to find out she was pregnant and then find out she wasn't a few weeks later. She'd been down the same route too many times.
"I don't want to know right away." Vanna said.
John didn't know Claire already carried Allison's embryo and Savannah carried Vanna's embryo. It was some more of Cameron's handiwork in the shadows.
"Cameron will let you keep trying." John said. "She loves you very much."
Vanna felt her eyes tear up. She knew she could never reach out to John for love. It could only be 'borrowed love' like it was right now. She loved Cameron too and didn't want to hurt her.
She knew if Judgment Day arrived, the other human females, and her, would all be at John's side to prove he wasn't a 'Metal Lover' going forward. If it was where she ended up dying at, she was ready for it too. She was aware Skynet, in whatever timeline it existed, was responsible for the destruction which followed its rise to power. Some humans could never get past blaming the machines. They blamed all the machines. There were no good machines to them. She didn't really want to think about it right now. Life moved forwards not backwards.
"Maybe I need to get cleaned up." Vanna said.
Vanna looked around and found her phone on the floor. There was a message from Jesse. It asked her to stop by when she was finished with John. She understood Jesse's desire.
"I can do it later." Vanna said.
She gathered her clothes.
John was a little surprised. He wanted to take a shower with her. He didn't want to push the issue. He wanted to allow the girls to do whatever they felt comfortable with. If they felt uncomfortable about anything, it would be a negative experience. He felt they already endured enough of those in their future.
"I'll always do what you want." John said. "I'll never do what you don't want either."
Vanna thought about going to see Jesse naked. She wondered if Claire was with her. It seemed most likely. Maybe she would just use a robe.
"Can I borrow a bathrobe?" Vanna asked. "I don't feel like getting dressed yet."
John didn't see it as a problem. He knew Cameron souvenired some off of the ship.
"There should be one in the closet." John said.
Vanna opened the door and looked inside. She just stood there.
John noticed and wondered what was wrong. Maybe there wasn't a robe in there after all.
"What is it?" John asked.
Vanna reached in the closet and took out a robe. The significance of what she looked at was obvious to her.
"This one has my name on it." Vanna said. "Cameron planned for this."
John wondered about it.
"Well, I guess it all worked out." John said.
Vanna still looked in the closet. She moved a few things back and forth as she looked inside of the closet.
"Mine isn't the only one here." Vanna said. "I think you're going to have a few more visitors tonight."
John went over to look. There were more robes with names on them.
He looked at the other names. There was one for Claire, Jesse, Allison and Savannah.
"It looks like Cameron might be out a little later than planned." Vanna said.
She looked at the one for Jesse. She lifted it up and there was a second one that said 'Jesse' underneath it.
John understood the significance of it. One was for Jesse, the other one was for Young Jesse.
"I see she's covered all the bases." John said.
Vanna already saw the one with Savannah's name on it.
"It looks like it." Vanna said.
She lifted the one for Allison.
Both John and Vanna looked at each other.
There was a second one for Allison too. They both knew who it was for…..
"I'll say." John said after a long pause.
Vanna frowned. It would happen sooner or later. She wanted Savannah and Young Allison to have a choice for their 'first time'. She thought John would be a good first choice. He would treat the girls with dignity and love. She didn't want any of them to go through what she'd gone through.
"It will be better for them this way too." Vanna said.
Previously:
Joe and Ted were thrilled to see the Mustang fly by.
Savannah, Young Allison and Young Jesse were even more thrilled.
Young Jesse only saw Cameron's Mustang in the hangar. She'd seen them fly at air shows. Savannah and Young Allison saw the Mustang fly before when Young Allison flew under the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge in the Mitchell. Sheila and Ally were in the Mustang. Derek flew back with Ally from Madera in it.
The Mustang did a 'carrier break' and flared up. It came in for a landing. It taxied over to where The B-25 was parked. Hanna was in the cockpit. She got out and joined the girls on the tarmac.
A fuel truck pulled up a minute later with high octane avgas. There was a second fuel truck which arrived a few minutes after it. It was for jet fuel.
Hanna, Savannah and Anna all stood together.
Joe and Ted looked at what appeared to be three versions of the same girl. One looked slightly older and one looked slightly younger than the middle girl. They thought how impossible it was. Cameron and Camille were with Young Allison. It was almost the same scenario. Young Jesse went over to Savannah.
Everyone looked over the Mustang as the Mitchell was refueled. Camille and Young Jesse took care of it.
The Metal girls heard it first and then soon everyone else did too. It was the sound of a jet. It was low and at high speed. Cameron's T-33 Shooting Star, or T-Bird, cut the grass and went down the runway. It did a carrier break and landed. It taxied over to where the Mitchell and Mustang were. Samantha got out and joined the girls.
Everyone noticed right away her new jewelry. Joe and Ted noticed too. They'd never seen a shirt fit quite so tight on anyone. The new girl looked topless, even if she wasn't. They thought she looked a lot like the twins and their slightly younger sister.
The tanker with the jet fuel moved up. Cameron supervised the refueling process.
The girls all looked over the new arrivals.
Joe and Ted did too, they also checked out the aircraft. They asked for permission and took some more photos of the planes.
The two tanker drivers didn't ask any questions. They were paid extra not to. The driver with the avgas was the same one from Madera.
Young Allison asked if she could fly back in the Mustang. Savannah thought they should give Young Jesse first choice.
Young Jesse could see Savannah and Cameron wanted to be alone. She also saw it would be better for them to use the T-Bird and for Young Allison to use the Mustang. With that scenario, Young Allison could return to Palmdale happy. She would fly the Mitchell back to Van Nuys with Camille, Hanna and Samantha. It would put them all back at the base. She wanted to be with Vanna again.
"Allison can take the Mustang, and Savannah can take the T-Bird. I'll fly the Mitchell back." Young Jesse said.
It was clear to everyone what Cameron orchestrated. She made sure there was a consolation prize for everyone.
Jesse and Claire were content to share with each other. They both wanted to talk about their time with John. Neither of them did. They wanted to share what a great time they'd experienced. They also wanted to leave some privacy for what they'd done. It really was special to them.
There was a knock at the door.
Vanna entered wearing a bathrobe and carrying her clothes.
"I hope I'm not too late." Vanna said.
Jesse and Claire both liked to share with Vanna.
Vanna took off her robe.
Jesse looked at her carefully.
"I'd say you got here at the right time." Jesse said.
Vanna joined them in bed. Claire worked the top and Jesse worked the bottom…. Everyone was happy where they were at. Vanna seemed to be the happiest of them all.
Moments ago:
Allison and Holly took a breather. At least Allison needed one. Holly already worked on her very intently.
There was a soft knock at the door. Vanna poked her head in.
"I think you're good to go in about a half hour." Vanna said. "John should be ready again."
She pulled her head out and closed the door.
Holly and Allison knew what Vanna meant.
Allison was ready for something hard. What she didn't want were any hard feelings.
"I'll only go if it's really OK with you." Allison said.
Holly scanned Allison as they'd shared earlier.
"It's OK with me." Holly said.
Allison smiled at her and they kissed again.
"Thank you." Allison said.
Holly received a message through her com. She could watch over Precious while Allison was away. It sounded like a good suggestion from CamNet.
Sarah really wanted to do more things. Kyle seemed on board with it, so she was going to do it. She really couldn't explain her recent behavior. In the last two days she'd been with five females and one of them was a Terminator!
Kyle and her shared one more time. She was on top from start to finish. It was like she couldn't get enough of anything. Even when Kyle finished she stayed with it and drove him crazy. She finished half a dozen times. She finally let up on him. He was exhausted.
They snuggled for a while and soon Kyle was asleep.
She silently got up, put on a bathrobe and headed out.
She wanted to get things taken care of right now. She'd already made up her mind. She would go straight to Jesse.
Earlier:
Jan found Summer in the Command Center. They headed for the rec room. There was nothing Summer could add to what John Henry worked on until he received the plans and layouts of the mine from the university records.
They would study for a while and then practice some dance and music.
Summer would also make sure Jan didn't see where her mother was going to go later on. She already knew when Sarah was in the commissary her decision was made and she'd sport some new jewelry by the end of the day. The only question was if she would want to do more. She didn't know yet. It was because Sarah was still undecided.
Mary and Laura were both in the massage booths being worked on by a masseuse. It was heaven to them. The 'special girls' really knew how to have a good time and a heck of an adventure, one after the other. Most of it was intense and some of it was outright terrifying.
Leticia wanted to use a weight machine. There were several different workout stations with different machines. There weren't too many free weights since it was an all female club. They were more difficult for someone who wasn't experienced with them to use safely. The weight machines all possessed a certain amount of built in safety features.
"Don't overdo it." Sheila said as she cautioned Leticia.
Leticia tried a leg press and leg curl machine.
"I think I could do more." Leticia said.
Cammy and Ally were still fooling around with a treadmill. They were able to get it up to twenty six miles an hour.
Ally was sure what they did was unsafe.
"I think it's too fast." Ally said.
Cam didn't think so. She wanted to see how it went.
"I can do it." Cammy said.
Ally wondered what for. It seemed to her there were other more productive things they could do rather than show off. If she was going to show something off, she knew exactly what it would be.
"Let's just fix it like it was and go make out instead." Ally said. "We can get down in the bottom of the Jacuzzi and no one will see us if we turn the jets on."
Cammy started the treadmill and started running. She worked her way up to the maximum speed with no problems. She was able to squeeze one more mile an hour out of it.
Leticia looked over.
"Wow! How fast is she going?" Leticia asked.
Sheila looked over. She didn't like to be 'shown up'.
"It's going twenty seven miles an hour." Sheila said. "The machine can't go any faster."
Leticia was impressed.
"Look at her. She's not even tired or winded." Leticia said.
Leticia was pretty sure she wasn't even breathing.
Ally went over to the bench press machine. She laid down and put the pin in the bottom of the stack. She lifted the entire stack with no effort. When she saw Leticia look over, she lowered one hand and lifted the entire stack of weights with only one hand.
Sheila didn't want to be outdone on anything. She moved the pin to the entire stack of weights on the leg press machine. She reached down and pushed with one hand and lifted the weights.
Leticia watched the three 'special girls' show off. She was aware the weights were real. She'd just used them. Everything she witnessed was something no human could possibly do.
"It's impossible." Leticia said. "At least it would be if I wasn't watching it with my own eyes. You girls are amazing."
Mary and Laura were in the two massage rooms, they heard all the noise out in the main part of the gym.
"Excuse me for a few seconds." Mary said as she got up.
Laura said and did the same thing.
They looked out around the door frame to see what was going on. The two masseuses didn't. They'd been instructed to stay in the massage rooms and not be concerned about anything else.
Mary and Laura watched the 'special girls' workout with Leticia. At this point 'Sue' was running backwards on the treadmill at what looked like thirty miles an hour. 'Barbara' lifted the entire weight machine 'Peggy' was on, while she lifted the entire stack of weights with one hand.
Laura looked over at Mary with a blank look on her face. What their eyes showed them was impossible as they knew things to be. They did have a heads up as to what was really happening.
"I don't know what to say." Laura said.
Mary thought it confirmed what they already knew. The girls were 'special', whatever they were. They felt like any human girl to the touch and responded sexually the same way but they all possessed super human abilities. They still couldn't fathom they were 'robots' of some type no matter what the evidence was. Their performance in the bedroom didn't seem robotic at all.
"All I know is, I don't want to piss one of them off." Mary said.
Laura didn't think it was a problem.
"We know they like to get off." Laura said. "So do we. We all have something in common."
They went back and resumed their massages.
Leticia thought she'd seen it all at this point.
The Metal girls stopped showing off and fixed everything like it was when they'd arrived. They didn't want to upset CamNet since she'd taken over the club.
Sheila went into the massage room with Leticia. Mary and Laura joined Cammy and Ally in the big hot tub. They soon began to kiss and stimulate each other. Cammy and Ally went under the swirling water and pleasured Mary and Laura as Sheila did earlier with Leticia in the pool.
Mary and Laura were in Heaven right now. They sure hoped the 'special girls' didn't expect them to do the same thing. They would need to come up for air at some point, unlike them.

Temporal Mission:
Past Timeline:
November 24 1963
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Young Allison and Cameron left the Munch Box behind. They were on their way to the first 'safe house'.
Cameron led Young Allison up a dark side street. The houses were scattered and sparse with empty lots between most of them. The lots were all zoned for domestic animals. More than a few of them owned horses. Occasionally a dog would bark a couple of times until they caught the scent of Cameron's new pheromones. They immediately stopped as the scent indicated there was no threat.
The original Terminators were very annoying to dogs. They would bark incessantly and attempt to 'go wild' as soon as they were able to pick up the scent. Vanna worked with Cameron and they developed a 'predator pheromone'. When she exhibited the predator pheromones, animals cowered in fear as she approached. It even included wild animals. There was usually a trail of urine left behind as they ran off in fear. She'd faced off with a bear when she took Savannah 'camping' one time. The camping trips were all actually survival training. It sounded more 'fun' to go camping than it did to conduct survival training.
Young Allison noticed they were away from all of the other scattered homes at this point.
She spotted a structure with several outbuildings behind it. One of them appeared to be a barn.
"I bet this is it." Young Allison said.
Cameron paused and looked around. There was no one present.
"It is." Cameron said. "There are a number of safe houses scattered throughout the area and surrounding states."
There was a fence around the perimeter. Inside the perimeter, closer to the house, there was a second fence around it.
Young Allison looked at the second fence.
"This fence looks electrified." Young Allison said.
Cameron knew it was.
"I need to be careful around it." Cameron said. "So will any other Terminators, vagrants or wild animals."
Cameron took one look around the house. She looked over towards the barn and the other outbuildings.
"Wait here." Cameron said. "I want to give everything a quick inspection."
Young Allison waited by the front door of the house. She looked at its construction. It appeared to be a wood frame dwelling with stucco on the outside. It had a clay tile roof. She was pretty sure it was to make it more fire resistant. The Southland was known for wildfires.
For all practical purposes it looked like any other house.
Cameron returned a few minutes later.
"There are no footprints around any of the other buildings." Cameron said. "No one's been around here, at least since the last rain."
Cameron reached down and produced two keys.
Young Allison was unsure of exactly where they came from.
"I take it those were out in the back somewhere." Young Allison said.
Cameron pointed to the railing by the door.
"No." Cameron said. "They were right here."
Young Allison looked at the location. It was hidden from view.
"Who would have thought to have looked there?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron put a key in the lock.
"Nobody…." Cameron said. "I'll look around first."
Cameron entered the house. She didn't turn on the light. She took a look around first before she did.
"Shield your eyes a little bit." Cameron said. "I'm going to turn on the light."
Young Allison could see everything look rather small. There was a living room with a dining room attached next to the kitchen. There were two bedrooms and one bathroom. She could see there was a television set. It appeared to be rather large it was marked RCA on a small placard on it
"I see we have all the comforts of home." Young Allison said.
She went over to the television set and turned the knob. Nothing happened. She started to bend down to look at it.
"Give it a few seconds." Cameron said.
A few seconds later there was a white dot in the center of the screen and then it expanded to the full size of the television screen.
Young Allison was a little surprised to see what the news flash was. She knew she shouldn't have been. Either way, it was still a reminder about what recently happened. It was a reminder about what she'd recently done.
"It's just like we knew it would be." Young Allison said. "The 'patsy' has been killed."
Cameron was pleased to see everything played out as anticipated. The news report reiterated there was only a 'single shooter'.
"So far everything is as we've known it to be." Cameron said.
Young Allison looked at the TV. She changed the channel a couple of times.
"It says it's a color TV." Young Allison said. "It's only black and white."
Cameron was aware only three percent of the households owned a color television in 1963.
"Most of the programming will be in black and white for another year and a half." Cameron said. "There will be a race for color soon after. Some of the television shows will have multi colored outfits when they don't need to be, just for the color aspect. Some shows will be canceled rather than make the switch. Several of the television shows actually decided not to go to color because they didn't think all of the black and white reruns would be picked up in syndication if some of the episodes were in color. It was a marketing decision."
Cameron went over to a picture on the wall. She pushed it towards the wall and there was a 'click'. The picture swung away from the wall. There was a safe behind it.
Young Allison liked the set up. She looked at the lock on the front of it.
"Don't tell me." Young Allison said. "I think I know what the combination is."
Young Allison approached the safe and spun the dial to clear it. She quickly entered in three numbers as she rotated the dial in different directions. She grasped the lever and pulled on it. There was a loud 'clunk' and the safe door swung open.
Cameron moved up and took a look. The way the safe was situated, it was blocked from the view of any windows.
She reached inside and pulled out several stacks of money. It was clear it was thousands of dollars. There are also some documents. She briefly looked at them. There were four passports and four driver's licenses. There were two completely different identities for both of them.
She set everything on the table.
She reached back inside the safe and pulled out two handguns.
"These are P-35 Browning Hi Power pistols." Cameron said.
Young Allison's eyes lit up when she saw them.
"Those look beautiful." Young Allison said.
Cameron placed both of them on the table. She removed the magazine from both of them and locked the slide open. A round was ejected from the chamber when she did. She picked up one of the magazines and pushed the rounds out of it with her thumb.
"There aren't many high capacity autoloaders at this time." Cameron said. "It's going to take another decade for the concept to really catch on. When it does, most of those will be double action pistols. These pistols have been in continuous production since 1935. It will remain in production for another half of a century. It was a design started by John Browning. It was refined and finished by one of his assistants after his death. John Browning designed a multitude of weapons including the 1911 Government Model I have in my purse. He designed everything from lever action rifles, to belt fed machine guns. The weapons he designed are responsible for the terminations of a great multitude of individuals."
Cameron proceeded to show Young Allison how to field strip one of the firearms. She then reassembled it.
Young Allison picked up the Hi Power. She pulled back the slide and locked it open. She emulated everything Cameron did. There was a small notch on the slide which the safety was pushed up into when it was retracted to the rear. She pushed from the right side of the gun on a small protrusion of the slide stop. She pulled the slide stop out with her left hand. She released the safety lever and slid the slide off. She took the slide and compressed the recoil spring. She removed it along with the barrel.
"It's much simpler than the 1911." Young Allison said.
She reassembled the pistol and worked the slide several times. Everything was very smooth.
Cameron put the rounds up on the table and set the empty magazine there in front of them.
"Standard capacity of a Hi Power magazine is thirteen rounds." Cameron said.
Young Allison counted fourteen rounds side by side and a fifteenth one an inch away from the others. She was about to ask Cameron why there were additional rounds.
Cameron proceeded to push a small button on the base plate of the magazine to compress the spring, and slid it off. She captured the spring and follower and remove them from the magazine body.
"The followers on all of the magazines we'll use have been shortened slightly so the magazine will hold an additional round." Cameron said. "With one round in the chamber, you'll have fifteen rounds total available if the weapon is carried cocked and locked."
Young Allison admired the workmanship on the pistol. It was definitely a cut above the firearms they'd acquired in Texas.
"The finish is very blue on these." Young Allison said.
Cameron looked at one of the pistols.
"These two pistols are finished with the 'rust process' to blue them." Cameron said. "Later on, they will be blued with a 'salt process'. The finish will be darker and not look as good. This is a T-Series Hi Power. It's the first model to adopt the external extractor. It increases the reliability of the pistol. The grips have been thinned considerably so the pistol will fit better in your hand. Later on the ring, or round hammer, will be replaced with a spur type hammer, similar to the one on the 1911. The ring hammer will appear on and off throughout the production cycle of the firearm. Some models were slotted on the back of the frame to take a shoulder stock. You noticed the attachment on the frame of the P-08 for it to do so as well. It was not a commonly used feature anywhere. The ability was still there if necessary on firearm so equipped with the mount."
Young Allison looked at their 'identification'. The photos on all of them were in black and white. Since Cammy and Sheila arranged everything for them, she figured the photo was of Cammy. They all shared the same DNA.
"I never thought I'd make it to twenty one so fast." Young Allison said.
Cameron looked over the pieces of identification and quickly counted the money.
"If we need more money, we can do some betting at the track or on sports." Cameron said. "I went over all of the winning horses and sports teams when I went through all of the periodicals."
Young Allison thought Cameron was going to say they would visit Las Vegas. She needed to remember Las Vegas was just starting to grow. They tried to present themselves as a legitimate city, and not under the control of the Syndicate.
"I can think of a few other places where you can clean up at." Young Allison said.
Cameron quickly looked at her.
"Most likely it would result in terminations after I started to win big." Cameron said. "You know the Syndicate is addicted to money."
Young Allison did know. It was why she'd instructed CamNet to clean out the funds from both the Syndicate and the Cartel. It was made to look like each one cheated the other. She was responsible for thousands of deaths at this point in time.
"What goes around comes around." Young Allison said.
Cameron thought Young Allison pushed it a little bit with her retribution.
"Payback is a Bitch." Cameron said.
Young Allison smiled. She looked around for something else.
"Where are the long guns?" Young Allison asked. "I have a feeling there's more."
Cameron smiled.
"You tell me." Cameron said.
Young Allison looked around the room. She moved to the bathroom and looked around inside of it for a moment. She looked in each of the bedrooms. She was pleased to see there was a closet full of clothes in each one of them as well as in the dresser in each room.
She noticed there was a record player sitting on a small table. She saw a selection of records next to it. The majority of them were the smaller diameter 45 RPM records. There were a few of the full size long play, or LP, albums. She couldn't look through them right now.
She looked at the linen closet between the two bedrooms. She moved her hand around the perimeter of it. She found a small catch. She pushed it, and the front of the linen closet swung open. There was a steep stairway which led down.
"I think now I'm going to find all the comforts of home." Young Allison said. "At least what's available in 1963."
She found a light switch inside the opening and flipped it. The stairway was lit.
"Let me check it out first." Cameron said.
Cameron went down the stairway.
Young Alison closed the opening behind her. She saw where the latch was to open it to go back out. She followed Cameron down.
They reached the bottom.
"This is a fallout shelter." Young Allison said. "I know they were popular in the late Fifties and early Sixties when people thought they could survive a nuclear attack."
Cameron opened the door.
The room was much larger than Young Allison thought it was going to be. She could see some of it was old construction. She could also see there was a newer segment added on to it. There were complete living quarters down there along with a supply of water and canned goods. She was a little apprehensive at what she viewed.
"I hope we're not going to need to use any of this stuff as intended." Young Allison said.
Cameron was aware the superpowers did a lot of saber rattling and came close to the brink of starting a nuclear war several times. One side, or both, always backed down before things went too far. In one case, a Russian submarine commander refused an order to launch two nuclear missiles. She knew one of the Presidents had been a submarine commander as well. He too said if he would have received the order to launch his nuclear missiles, he wouldn't have done it. She wasn't really sure how either of those actions weren't considered traitorous. Based upon the path that particular President led the country down, he might as well have fired his nuclear missiles at the United States instead. It probably would have caused less damage to the nation in the long run.
Young Allison spotted the arms locker. She went over to it and opened it. She was surprised at the weapons inside.
"I can see we have a couple of M16 rifles." Young Allison said.
Cameron knew it was actually a variant. It was a precursor to the M16 most people were familiar with.
"These are both XM16E1 rifles. The Army wanted a few changes over the version the Air Force opted for. It would take a few more years before it became officially adopted as the M16A1. "
Young Allison could see there were a few other rifles in there as well.
"I recognize both of them." Young Allison said. "There's an M14 with a scope on it and an M60."
There was an assortment of plastic explosives as well as grenades.
"The version of the M14 you see, will later become the M21 sniper rifle." Cameron said. "This version retains its fully automatic capability. Most of the M14 rifles had the selector removed, or pinned in the semi auto position. It was difficult for many of the men to control firing the weapon on full auto. It's not a problem for a Terminator. I can fire it one handed, even with the conventional stock. There was a wooden pistol grip stock fabricated for the firearm. Most of the individuals who attempted to use it, switched back to the standard stock because it was so cumbersome to use. Some thought it was ugly as well."
Young Allison figured the weapons were procured from military bases or from some of the armories located around the area. She'd read the criminals, Bonnie and Clyde, were known for raiding armories to get their hands on Browning Automatic Rifles. It was most commonly referred to as a BAR. They liked it for the powerful 30-06 Springfield round it fired. She knew Cameron could do a lot more damage with the 7.62×51MM NATO cartridge in the M60. Cameron would be able to hit what she aimed at with precision. The five percent difference in the performance of the cartridge would be negated by superior accuracy. She could see there were several ammo cans full of belted ammunition for it.
She reached in and pulled out an M79 grenade launcher.
"I see you have plenty of high explosive and fragmentation grenades as well for this." Young Allison said.
Cameron pointed to another ammo can.
"There are also some buckshot rounds." Cameron said. "All of them have been modified to hold double the quantity of buckshot from the original round. It was something I instructed Cammy to do. Sheila refers to it as the 'Wombat Gun'. It was a nickname the Australians gave it."
There were also two more T Series Hi Powers. There were plenty of spare magazines for all of the weapons as well.
Cameron had Young Allison break down an M16, the M14 and the M60. She was already familiar with two of the three.
"I know it's nice to have all the firepower available." Young Allison said. "Are we going to need to use any of this hardware?"
Cameron liked to cover all of the bases.
"Did you think you were going to need to assassinate the President within less than an hour of our arrival in the past?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison expected to arrive where they were at now. She hadn't expected what transpired and their journey to reach their current location. She'd urged Cameron not to change too much along the way. She thought Cameron showed a lot of restraint in all regards.
"No. I didn't." Young Allison said. "I still find it hard to believe any of it actually happened. I know I did because I saw it happen with my own eyes. We just saw on the news the 'patsy' is dead. The individual who killed him will die soon enough in prison. Case closed. The single shooter theory will live on. Only an imbecile will actually believe it. None of the people behind it will ever be held accountable."
Young Allison was aware when there was temporal activity occurring at the same time from two different sources, the energy bubble could be knocked off course. It was something Cammy and Savannah experienced in Cameron's future. She wondered if it was another version of herself from a different timeline who was actually the third shooter. Maybe she'd killed the President twice over. Even if it was a different timeline version of herself, it was still her.
Cameron lead Young Allison to another steel door at the other end of the bunker.
"There's an underground passageway which connects this bunker complex with one of the outbuildings and what appears to be a barn." Cameron said. "It's actually the garage where our vehicles are waiting for us. There are a few of them."
Young Allison made sure all the weapons were secured.
"Let's go check it out." Young Allison said.
Cameron thought maybe Young Allison should get cleaned up and turn in for the day. It was late.
"We can wait until morning." Cameron said.
Young Allison wanted to take a look around. She pointed at the door at the rear of the bunker.
Madness
There are moments in time
Which some may consider priceless
Time itself will be the judge
Whether they become worthless
Is there much of a difference
Between careless and reckless
Maybe it's just the price paid
When one becomes restless
To try to forge ahead
May not always be progress
When there's no control
More can actually mean less
It doesn't take very much
To turn brightness into darkness
When the heat is turned up
Stress can lead to distress
One can call out endlessly
From deep inside a fortress
The walls start to close in
As it all descends into madness
Nobody
