Chapter 1508
You Are You
Dan and Frank were at the university and sought out the information cataloged. It took them some time to locate everything. Not everything was put away as it was supposed to be. Humans were very inefficient.
They weren't there to take or damage anything. They were just there to look at the available information so it could be forwarded to John Henry and CamNet.
Young Allison was thrilled she was about to fly in the Mustang. They'd done a 'once around' and checked everything out already. Anna climbed up and took the back seat. It was a dual control P-51, a TF-51.
"I'll let you have the front seat." Anna said.
Joe and Ted looked at each other. They looked like the two youngest girls to them. They were sure both of them were teenagers. They both certainly looked younger than their 'sisters'.
"I'd ask if this is for real, but I can see it is." Ted said.
Cameron was next to Savannah.
"It's real all right." Cameron said.
Joe looked at Savannah.
"You're both going to let your younger sisters fly the P-51?" Joe asked.
Savannah didn't have any way to explain to Joe and Ted what a Terminator exactly was. They didn't know the Metal girls weren't human. Nobody did. She tried to simplify her answer to make it sound plausible.
"I can tell you my younger sister is as good of a pilot as there is." Savannah said. "I'd say she's forgotten more about flying than I've ever learned, but she never forgets anything."
Anna ran Cameron's program with the 'Neural Interface' with Savannah.
Cameron smiled.
Young Jesse and Camille completed the walk around on the B-25. They were strapped in and ready to go. Hanna and Samantha would return with them to Van Nuys.
"Savannah looked at the sky. It will be dark in two hours or less." Savannah said.
Cameron knew the flight was going to be a lot shorter than two hours.
"Young Allison will be back at home by then." Cameron said. "She'll make good time in the Mustang."
Cameron asked to borrow the fire extinguisher Ted carried in his electric truck. She went over to the Mitchell. She went to the port side of it and gave Camille a thumbs up.
Camille called 'clear' and the big R2600 started to turn over. It went through the required rotations to clear the cylinders before Young Jesse gave it some spark. It fired up with the usual thick cloud of gray smoke.
Cameron moved over and they repeated the process on the other side. The Mitchell was soon running smoothly. It idled for a short time. The power was run up on each engine one at a time before it turned to taxi.
They watched the Mitchell taxi to the runway. They heard Young Jesse rev the engines to 'War Emergency Power'. The Mitchell shot forward and was off the ground in less than three hundred feet. She didn't need to climb, she just needed to stay off the ground.
Young Jesse kept it right above the runway as the speed built up.
Joe and Ted were astounded. They were both aware of where the take off of that nature originated from. It was from the Doolittle Raid.
"I don't even think it was three hundred feet." Ted said. "It was amazing."
Cameron realized what Young Jesse was going to do when she heard the engines in full 'War Emergency Power'. She carefully watched the distance until the main landing gear left the ground. She was impressed.
"It was two hundred and eighty nine feet." Cameron said. "She can get it up a little sooner the next time."
Joe and Ted really didn't know what to think. They were pretty sure they just saw some type of record set on several counts.
Young Allison was impressed with Young Jesse's take off. She knew she could beat it. It would have to wait till another time. Right now it was time to fly the Mustang.
"We're ready." Young Allison said.
Anna would take off and get the plane to altitude before she turned it over to Young Allison. They would head to Madera and do a few 'touch and go' landings before they went on to Cameron's private strip in the foothills west of Palmdale.
Cameron stood ready with the fire extinguisher.
"Clear." Anna said.
The big four bladed prop on the V-12 Merlin turned over and started right away. There wasn't much smoke at all. The big V-1650 ran smoothly. Anna and Young Allison waved at Cameron and Savannah as they taxied away.
Cameron handed Ted the fire extinguisher.
"Thank you." Cameron said.
The Mustang took off easily without pushing it. Savannah told Anna to take it easy and make sure Young Allison did too.
It went off in pursuit of the Mitchell. It would catch it rapidly.
Joe and Ted thanked Cameron and Savannah for everything.
Cameron and Savannah did a once around the T-bird. Their T-33 was converted into an AT-33.
"Do you want to give it a try first?" Cameron asked. "You can do it."
Savannah wanted to play it safe.
"I'll let you take us off." Savannah said.
Cameron nodded. It wouldn't take Savannah long to get the hang of it. They would do a few 'touch and go' landings at Madera as well.
They climbed up and strapped in. Cameron fired the turbine. Everything checked out. They waved at Ted and Joe as they taxied away and headed for the runway.
Ted put the fire extinguisher back in his little electric truck.
"No one will ever believe any of this." Ted said.
Joe didn't think anyone would believe any of it either. They might believe they got to go on a flight in the Mitchell because it was seen in the area. Nobody would believe who the pilots were for all of the different aircraft.
"You heard what she told us." Joe said. "Let's just take the 'win' and remember the good time we all shared. Nothing like it will ever happen again."
They watched as the jet went to full power and then started down the runway. It took off smoothly and disappeared into the sky.
Joe and Ted watched until there was nothing to see or hear. They got back in the little electric truck and drove back to the museum. They parked it inside and made sure everything was locked up before they left and headed for their homes.
Sarah wore her bathrobe. She'd just been with Kyle earlier. She headed for Jesse's room. She'd already made her mind up when she saw Samantha earlier. Since Kyle didn't say anything negative about it. She decided to surprise him.
She reached Jesse's door and paused. It was open as usual. She peeked inside. She was instantly aroused. Vanna was in there with Jesse and Claire. They both were with Vanna.
It excited her greatly to see Vanna being pleasured. She'd been close to being with Vanna a few times before Allison came back from the future. If Vanna hadn't been so hung up on Cameron at the time, it would have happened. It almost did a few times later on anyway.
Sarah waited for Vanna to finish again before she entered the room.
Vanna was sent to Heaven by Jesse. She'd been kissing Claire while it happened. She needed to breathe a little. Her heart pounded. Jesse was almost as good as a Metal girl for some kinds of pleasure.
She was surprised to see Sarah enter the room. It was a first. She wondered if there was a problem of some kind. She noticed Sarah only wore a bathrobe and it hung open. She got a good look at her firm trim body. Jesse started in on her again. Sarah slipped off the robe and was naked! She made it again instantly.
Claire was about to reposition herself with Vanna when she noticed Sarah there. She saw the robe come off and heard Vanna make it again.
"Hi, Sarah." Claire said.
Jesse looked back once she was sure Vanna finished.
"Hello, love." Jesse said.
Sarah looked at the three naked girls. She really wanted to be with Vanna.
"I've come to see everyone." Sarah said.
Vanna made it again. No one was even touching her at this point. She was still on the edge and driven by excitement.
Jesse moved out of the way.
"I have her all warmed up for you." Jesse said.
Jesse didn't mention she was 'good to go'. If Sarah knew where Vanna was a few minutes ago, she might not want to go further.
Sarah looked at what was right there in front of her.
Vanna wanted it so very much. It was one of her dreams.
"I'm ready." Vanna said.
Sarah knelt down and started. She couldn't resist it. She'd never seen anything quite so beautiful. Much to her surprise Jesse started in on her. She was a little self conscious, but not for long. It seemed to invigorate Jesse even more. Claire moved in back of Jesse.
As soon as Jesse started in on Sarah, she was pleasantly surprised. She realized she was about to do the father-son thing in an abstract way. It was actually a mother-father-son thing, sort of. It was a toss up which excited her more. Was it that fact, or because it was Sarah again? Claire behind her was the icing on the cake. She was the one who'd actually experienced it all.
Sarah stayed with Vanna until she made it three times. She made it a second later each time. She'd lost track of time. She didn't know if thirty seconds or thirty minutes passed. It just didn't matter.
Vanna reached down and pulled her up. Their faces were inches apart.
Sarah slowly lowered her head down.
Vanna and Sarah kissed. It was a slow loving kiss that deepened. Their hands were all over each other, as were their lips.
Sarah looked back and only Vanna and her were in the room. The door was closed. Jesse and Claire were gone. They wanted her to have a private time with Vanna.
Vanna saw they were alone too. She rolled Sarah over on her back and 'took over'. She planned to give Sarah a treat. There were a million questions flashing through her head right now. She really wondered how long Sarah was active with Jesse and Claire. It was clear it wasn't the first time.
She shared some wild sex with Sarah before they shared some love. It was a very beautiful time for both of them. They both needed to rest.
Blackhawk headed to the backside of the mountain. They flew the long way around. John Henry made sure they didn't show up on any radar in case 'Skynet', or whatever was in the mine, monitored such things.
Bob, Jim, Gail and Cam all exited from the Blackhawk as it touched down on a dirt road.
Steve and Tom offered again to go in place of Gail and Cam. They both declined.
The Blackhawk lifted off.
Bob knew a specific destination was selected for them. It was time to get started.
"We have an eleven mile hike." Bob said.
Cam looked up at the sun. It was low in the sky.
"We need to keep a slow pace then so we don't arrive before it's dark." Cam said.
They all looked over everyone's gear. Everything was in order.
There was one more thing they needed to assist them.
"We need the information from John Henry." Jim said.
They wanted to have an idea of what they were going to face before they made entry. Any details they could gather would assist them greatly.
Jesse and Claire wanted Vanna and Sarah to share alone for a little bit. They quietly retreated out into the hall, naked.
"Let's go to Sheila's room." Jesse said. "There are marital aids in there. I think she has more rings too."
Claire was all for it, but she wanted to make it a four way if she could later on.
"We can go there for now, but I want to go back in a little bit." Claire said.
Jesse kissed her and smiled.
"I like the way you think." Jesse said.
Jesse looked around and found the box with all the different rings in it.
"I just found the 'mother load'." Jesse said. "We can give Sarah a choice now."
Claire thought how beautiful Samantha looked. She was pregnant with Allison's baby, but it was still months away. She wanted to do it too. She wanted to look like Samantha. They could always come out later on. Jesse didn't have any trouble nursing Precious.
"Is there a set like the ones you put on Samantha?" Claire asked.
Jesse looked in the box.
"Yes." Jesse said. "Let's knock off a quickie and then take this back with us. Vanna and Sarah should be done by then."
Riley was surprised Samantha left earlier. She was even more surprised when Holly showed up.
She always thought Holly was beautiful. She knew Derek liked to work with her the few times he did. She was usually in Palmdale, but not always.
Holly liked the reception she received from Riley when she'd arrived. She was thrilled to be able to take care of Precious for a few hours. It helped take her mind off where Allison was going to be.
She didn't talk much to Allison about her current 'condition'. She wasn't pregnant anymore. She hadn't said a word to anyone about it. The failures happened too often and caused Allison a lot of pain. She turned around and always asked to be impregnated again. Maybe this time it would happen since she'd been with John a few times. She really hoped so for Allison's sake. If not, Claire currently carried an embryo from Allison for her.
Young Allison was old enough to 'take over' for Allison. She would really like to have Cameron use Young Allison's genetic material and not tell anyone. Claire could carry it too so Young Allison didn't need to spoil herself.
Maybe Allison could try it again with some 'help' from Young Allison. It would be what she would want. Cameron needed to help her help Allison.
Holly held Precious. She looked forward to assisting Allison with her child once it was born from someone. It really seemed as if she would need assistance.
Riley checked out Holly in every detail. She would really like to try it once with her. She knew Derek wanted too as well. He'd never actually said anything, but she saw the way he looked at the Metal girls sometimes. Holly always drew the most attention from him. She was pretty sure Samantha would draw more now since she'd gotten a set of rings. She still remembered when she tried to be with Holly years ago. It just didn't happen back then. Things were different for all of them now.
She'd tried to recreate the time and the moment she was with Cameron at the beach with Holly. It was the night Cameron tried to make her feel 'wanted' and part of the group. It worked. It also made her love Cameron even more. She saw how truly dynamic Cameron was then. She'd even rescued the driver of a car which crashed and caught fire.
John showered and got dressed. He thought Vanna indicated Allison might stop by. He was open to it, or Jesse, or Claire. It would be nice if Young Jesse was back. Maybe it all depended on when Cameron would return.
He thought about whether he would rather be with Allison and Claire together as a pair, or Jesse and Young Jesse. He wasn't sure how far Allison and Claire would go with each other. He figured Jesse and Young Jesse would go all the way with each other. He would like to find out on both counts.
Just the thought was enough to get him 'ready'. He was thirsty. He looked in the little refrigerator in his room. He spotted an 'energy drink' with his name on it. It looked like Cameron left it for him. He opened it and took a sip. It reminded him a lot of the espresso. He drank it anyway. He figured he was going to need all the energy he could get.
He looked at the computer in his room to see if John Henry came up with anything new. So far he hadn't. There was a team on the way for a recon. He wished he would have known about it. He would have liked to have gone. Maybe it wasn't too late. He enjoyed his time with Vanna. He looked forward to being with Allison again. The recon could wait.
He really would like to be out in the field when Cameron wasn't around to 'take over' and baby him. He decided he would see about joining the recon later on. He'd lost track of the time.
He opened the door to leave and Allison was standing there.
"Hi, John." Allison said.
John looked at her. She was dressed very modestly.
"Hi, Allison." John said.
It seemed to Allison John was going to leave. Maybe she'd taken too long to arrive.
"Are you busy?" Allison asked. "I don't want to bother you if you're busy."
She turned around to leave. She didn't want to disrupt anything.
John didn't want her to go. This might be his last chance to be with her. He needed to think fast.
"Wait." John said. "I was just on my way to see if you were busy or not."
Allison smiled. She was pleased to hear it.
"You were?" Allison asked.
John opened the door all the way.
Allison still remained outside.
John shared a long look with Allison. He stepped outside and scooped her up into his arms.
A giant smile blossomed on her face. She wanted to feel special.
"It's what I wanted." Allison whispered in his ear.
John carried her into his room.
"Did you want this room or the other room?" John asked.
Allison looked towards the bedroom. She knew why she was there. She knew what she wanted. She wanted to spell it out without being too direct.
"I want everything." Allison whispered in his ear.
John did as well. He continued into his bedroom. He wanted to make it clear to Allison about what would or wouldn't happen. He knew it was important to her. It was important to him as well.
"We can do anything you want." John said. "You're the decider. If there's anything you don't want, say something."
Right now Allison was ready for anything….
Leticia wanted to be in the same room with Sheila for the massage. She went with her as the masseuses worked on them side by side.
Sheila could see Leticia was really into the massage. She indicated for her masseuse to work on Leticia too. She watched them for a few minutes and she decided to give Leticia a massage as well.
Leticia thought this is what it must feel like to be in Heaven. She'd been close to the edge a few times. She'd really been close to the edge in the last few days since they'd met the 'special girls'. Maybe everything was better when it was lived on the edge. She was ready to find out more.
Cammy and Ally were under the water in the hot top pleasuring Mary and Laura. They were lost in the bubbles underneath. They stayed with it until Mary and Laura each made it twice. They gave them a chance to recover.
Mary and Laura kissed each other as they were pleasured. When they finished the second time they broke the kiss and relaxed.
"Wow. It was intense." Mary said with difficulty.
Laura caught her breath.
"It's really special to kiss you and be taken to Heaven in a very aggressive and pleasurable manner." Laura said.
They waited for Cammy and Ally to come up. They were still below the surface of the water.
"Where are they?" Mary asked. "They've been down there for about seven minutes now."
Laura knew they were special but she really didn't think they were robots.
"I don't know." Laura said.
Mary reached over and turned off the whirlpool jets. It took the water a few seconds to clear.
Laura and Mary looked in the bottom of the big Jacuzzi tub. They could see 'Barbara' and 'Peggy' were really going at it with each other under the water. They didn't let up and they didn't need to come up for air. In fact, there were no air bubbles at all.
"I know they're supposed to be twins and I can say when they're soaked, they do look identical." Mary said. "Think how beautiful it would have been to grow up like that."
Laura briefly thought about the first time she'd been 'taken' in the dark park.
"There are a lot worse things out there." Laura said.
Mary and Laura watched them for another ten minutes. The 'special girls' never stopped and they never came up for air. It was clear both of them made it about ten times. They stopped and looked up at them through the water. They both surfaced.
"I'm sorry we took so long." Cammy said. "I think we got a little carried away."
Ally shrugged her shoulders.
"It happens." Ally said.
Mary wanted to know more.
"Nobody on Earth can hold their breath for so long." Mary said. "You're not even winded."
Cammy wanted to have some fun.
"Did we ever say we were from Earth?" Cammy asked.
Mary and Laura looked at each other. They both wondered about it too, but neither one really thought about it as a real possibility. They did know the girls possessed superhuman abilities. They'd witnessed a display of their strength several times. They both saw what the shark looked like. The girls didn't have a scratch on them. They saw what 'Sue' did to the sex traffickers….
"Are you from some 'other place'?" Laura asked. "Can you tell us?"
Mary wanted to know who they really were.
"Can you at least tell us your names?" Mary asked. "I'd really like to know your real names."
Ally didn't want to push it. She knew Sheila told Leticia her real name. She wanted to use her real name too.
"I'm Ally." Ally said.
Cammy quickly looked at her. She didn't like being one of many under the title of 'Barbara'. She wanted her individuality back.
"I'm Cammy." Cammy said.
Mary and Laura looked at each other.
Leticia and Sheila were standing by the hot tub now.
"This is Sheila." Leticia said.
The girls all knew things were different now.
Leticia heard the talk about Earth and maybe the girls weren't from Earth. She hoped she would get an answer if she asked. She didn't think it would hurt anything to try.
"Are you from a different planet?" Leticia asked.
Sheila scooped Leticia up in her arms and stepped into the hot tub with her.
"Does it really matter?" Sheila asked.
Leticia looked Sheila in the eyes.
"No." Leticia said. "It doesn't matter to me who, or what, you are. I love you because you are you."
Mary grabbed Cammy and started kissing her. Laura did the same with Ally.
"In beauty there is no truth." Leticia said.
Sheila smiled.
"In truth there is no beauty." Sheila said.
The girls started a free for all in the hot hub. Cammy turned the jets back on.
"See if you can tell who is who and then ask if it really matters in the end." Cammy said.
The three Metal girls disappeared under the water and were lost in the bubbles.
Mary, Laura and Leticia all leaned back and went along for the ride….
It didn't matter who was who. All there was - was pleasure….
The Terminator continued to watch the drone images of the limousine and the building he'd left. He waited for the drone to deliver a gravity shot on the location. It happened a few seconds later and there was an explosion. The building began to burn.
The limousine had been held up in traffic by CamNet through 'traffic management'. The control of the traffic system dated back to when Cameron infiltrated it to make a program look like it didn't work. She'd made sure it didn't work. She also made sure she'd left a backdoor opening which they were able to exploit later on.
The Terminator was now only several blocks away from the limousine. He continued to watch the drone footage of it as well as the burning building. No one else came out of it.
When the light turned green, the limousine pulled onto the freeway. It went up the ramp and entered the traffic. It stayed in the right hand lane. There was an opportunity for it to move over to the next lane several times. It didn't take it.
CamNet directed her Terminator to take the street which paralleled the freeway instead of entering the freeway itself. The drone would follow the limousine wherever it went. She made sure he had all green lights.
The limousine remained in the right hand lane of the freeway until the first off ramp. It exited the freeway and went down to the signal at the bottom. It waited there, even after the light turned green for it to turn. It continued to sit there through one more cycle of signals. On the third cycle when the light turned green, the limousine crossed the street and went up the on ramp on the other side of the freeway. He quickly moved over several lanes of traffic. It didn't appear it would be getting off anytime soon. They'd evidently checked for a tail and didn't spot one. They didn't know there was an eye in the sky.
He was directed to enter the freeway where the limousine got on it the second time. He remained far enough back where he wouldn't be spotted.
The Terminator was just another car among many on the freeway right now as he loosely followed the limousine to its next destination.
The Gray was assigned to watch one section of the perimeter with two other men. He was pretty sure they were there to watch him.
"Isn't there some kind of electronic surveillance that can do what we're doing?" The Gray asked.
The first man looked around. He pointed in back of him. There was a surveillance camera.
"There are." The first man said. "Only the ones which are hardwired still function." The first man said.
The second man looked a little disgusted.
"None of the remote ones work any longer." The second man said. "Everything checks out as okay but the signal doesn't go anywhere."
The Gray was a little concerned. He wondered if it was something else they would blame on him.
"How long has it been like that?" The Gray asked.
The first man looked directly at him.
"It was a few hours before you showed up." The first man said.
The Gray didn't like the insinuation.
"Didn't you lose contact with everyone else in the last couple of days?" The Gray asked. "It's when the real problems started. I bet it was around the time those HK Tracks arrived in the big rigs."
The two men looked at each other.
"I think it was before they arrived." The second man said.
The first man knew some people were sent out.
"We dispatched a couple of 'runners' to go check things out." The first man said. "We haven't heard from either of them since."
The Gray figured there were probably two reasons. The first one was, they were intercepted and killed by whoever was behind what was happening. The second one was, they saw it as their opportunity to get away from it all and took it. At this point he really couldn't blame them if they did. He was sure they were all on the road to nowhere. Someone was after them and making progress rapidly.
"I'm telling you, it all revolves around those HK Tracks." The Gray said.
The two men listen to the Gray complain about the HK Tracks over and over. They were a little more than worried themselves right now.
"I want you to remain at this post." The first man said. "I'm going to go check on a few things."
The first man got up and left. He looked back once at the two men he'd left behind. The new guy didn't seem like he was a bad person. He was a lot more worried than they were. He guessed surviving an attack on a base would do it to someone.
He made the rounds and checked on three other observation points. There was one on each side of the compound. It took a little longer than he thought it would on foot. So far none of them had reported any contact. He instructed them to send one of the two men back if they thought they spotted anything. He wasn't going to take any chances.
The first man made his way back to where his observation post was at. The two men were still there doing what they were supposed to do. He headed for the big building. He wanted to look over the HK Tracks himself.
The Gray watched the first man check up on them. He could see he was headed towards the large building. He figured he wanted to look over everything. He couldn't blame him. He really hoped those in charge listened to what he'd told them. If they didn't things would probably repeat again.
The female Fanatic I was a little worried as to how things were going to play out. She was pretty sure she'd found the destination. She wondered if it was going to be her final destination.
They continued along in the car until they finally reached the last hill.
"I think we need to continue on foot." The female Fanatic said.
Jill knew she needed to agree. The car would become a target if it was spotted by those where they were headed. She still didn't know exactly where it was.
"Go out and take a look." Jill said. "See if you can find a spot we can put the car so it doesn't stand out to anyone else."
The female Fanatic nodded and exited the car. She moved along the dirt road to where the side of the hill was at. She could see the large building along with several smaller ones. The backside of the hill appeared to be excavated extensively. Based on the increasing gray color of everything around them, she figured it was some type of cement plant. She spotted two things which would help them. She returned to the car.
"There's a dry gulch up ahead." The female Fanatic said. "I spotted it off to the side a couple of times earlier. It looks like now we can take advantage of it."
Jill knew it would keep them below the line of sight if it was deep enough. Even if it didn't, it was better than walking across the terrain or on either of the roads. Now they needed to do something with the car.
"Where do you want me to park this?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic located a depression just around the corner. She was worried the car might be spotted to move it there.
"Turn it around so it's headed back the way we came." The female Fanatic said. "If anyone spots it, they should think we were on our way out. If it's pointed in the direction we're going, they would immediately think we're headed towards the buildings."
Jill turned the car around.
The female Fanatic took the keys and opened the trunk.
"I'm just going to take the explosives with us." The female Fanatic said. "We should be able to acquire additional weapons along the way if we survive. If we get into a firefight before we reach the objective, we're never going to make it anyway. We need to use stealth to penetrate."
They gathered the explosives and left everything else behind. There wasn't much to carry. They would be fighting the daylight soon as it was. The sun was very low in the sky.
The female Fanatic and Jill entered the dry gulch. They currently were completely inside of it.
The two female Terminators needed to let events play out. They watched everything from the drone footage until they could see what the developments were.
They decided it was time to get started.
"We know where the observation posts are." Lena said. "We know where the female Fanatic is at."
They watch as they abandoned their vehicle and headed into the dry gulch.
"We can either drive up to where they're parked, or we can head in on foot from here." Tina said.
The vehicle they were in was currently concealed from the main highway. They could cover the distance very rapidly on foot.
"Let's move in on foot." Lena said. "We should be able to catch up to the female Fanatic before she reaches the compound perimeter. If there are any booby traps, they should trip them for us."
Lena and Tina left the vehicle behind and crossed over the highway. They moved down the dirt access road for the power lines.

Past Timeline:
November 24 1963
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Young Allison wanted to take a look around. She pointed to the door at the rear of the bunker. She picked up a large flashlight. She thought it looked a little strange with the rectangle battery exposed. The flashlight part fit on top of it.
The rear part of the bunker was all of more recent construction. The passageway which exited from the rear of it surprised her a little. It was made out of cement pipe. It was circular and in sections. The sections were sealed.
Young Allison spotted something built into the pipe.
"I see there's a demolition charge to block the passageway." Young Allison said.
She took a moment to look over the device with her flashlight. She was a little surprised at how it was activated.
"There's a pin and what appears to be the top of a grenade." Young Allison said. "It's hooked to a longer chemical fuse than normal. Once it's ignited, it looks like it has a twenty to thirty second detonation time."
Cameron was pleased Young Allison identified everything correctly.
"It's a thirty second fuse." Cameron said. "You don't want to be close to it when it goes off."
They moved through the passageway towards the rear of the property. There was another door built into the pipe. Cameron opened the door. There was a square chamber. There were two doors which led off of it.
Cameron indicated the door to the right.
"This section goes to what could be best described as a storage shed." Cameron said. "It is the furthest building from the house and the barn."
Young Allison understood it was an escape route. Cameron opened the door and let her look inside. She spotted something approximately fifty feet down the length of it.
"I can see there's another demolition charge to block the tunnel." Young Allison said. "I'm pretty sure when we go through the other door they'll be another one located there as well."
Cameron opened the door to continue towards the barn. There was another demolition charge located approximately fifty feet away from the square chamber.
"You're absolutely correct." Cameron said. "The batteries of this time period don't have a long duration. They could have used bigger batteries or more of them to keep the charge longer. The chemical igniter was the simplest method to use. It works for a hand grenade. It will work for the demolition charge as well."
Young Allison knew a hydrogen bomb, which had been placed in the Nevada desert deep inside of the mine where Skynet set up shop, needed some type of power supply to activate the timer. Since it was there for over half of a century, there was only one type of power source which would easily last the amount of time. It would also have a lot of destructive value itself. It was a power cell from a Terminator.
Cammy was constructed with two chip ports and two power cells. Evidently Sheila, or Cammy herself, removed one of them to rig to the H-bomb for it to explode when they wanted it to. The timing had been very close when they were involved on an operation with a Skynet group who attempted to build a Cobalt bomb. The enemy group had stolen weapons from the Air Force Base near Las Vegas. The C-bomb, or bombs, since they'd taken several nuclear weapons, would have left Cobalt radiation behind which has an extremely long duration.
Young Allison still didn't think it was actually her. She believed it was another timeline version of her. CamNet blocked the majority of files from Cammy and Sheila when they'd returned. Events were supposed to play out as history recorded them. When the H-bomb went off deep in the earth, it was simply reported as another earthquake. They were pretty sure more than a few of 'earthquakes' around the Southland over the last half century we're probably related to some type of Skynet activity.
Cameron stopped at another metal door.
"There should be a ladder which leads up on the other side of this door." Cameron said.
Young Allison was still concerned why there needed to be such an extensive system where they were at.
"Does this have anything to do with the facility where they test the rocket engines up on the side of the hill?" Young Allison asked. "I don't know how many failures they've had there, if any. I do know the sodium nuclear reactor melted down twice and there's extensive radiation up there right now. The main water flow has brought much of it down into Dayton Canyon. It eventually makes its way to Bell Creek and then to the LA River where Calabasas Creek joins it right at Owensmouth Street."
One of Cammy's files, which was unblocked, was when they'd prevented the reactor from melting down the first time. They actually had to go back in time again after they'd prevented it, and undo what they'd done to fix it, so it would melt down as it was supposed to. They'd been exploring it as a power source for a TDE when they discovered the problems. There were a number of cancer related issues associated with workers at the test facility, as well as those who lived downstream from the runoff of Dayton Canyon.
Cameron tilted her head slightly at the question. She wasn't sure exactly why such an extensive system was constructed where it was. It was clear whoever they'd obtained the property from in the first place, had already constructed the large fallout shelter. The Metal girls simply added to it. They'd added quite a bit. It made her wonder what happened to the previous owner. Maybe it was better not to know.
"I don't know." Cameron said.
They went up the ladder. The ladder went all the way up into the wall of the structure. Cameron swung open the metal door and entered the 'barn'. The outside of the door, which was inside of the 'barn', was covered with wood. When the door was closed it looked like part of the wall.
Cameron went over to a doorway and flipped on the light. Young Allison was a little surprised at what she saw. There were half a dozen vehicles parked inside of the garage.
She looked over at the two closest ones.
"I take it these two are as close to an SUV as we're going to get in 1963." Young Allison said. "What year are they from?"
There were two Ford panel trucks parked side by side.
"The one with two headlights is a 1956." Cameron said. "The one with four headlights is a 1958. The van is a 1961 model."
Young Allison moved over to the van and looked at it. She shined the flashlight through the window to get a better look at what she thought she'd spotted inside of it
"I'm not so sure I like the idea of the engine inside of the passenger compartment on this early van." Young Allison said. "If this thing ends up with an exhaust leak of any kind, it seems like someone's going to have a really bad day."
Cameron knew it was done to keep the length of the vehicle down.
"They also made a pickup truck version of it." Cameron said. "The engine was located in the same spot."
Young Allison looked around and saw there was an engine hoist and several engines on engine stands.
There were three cars parked there as well. Two of them look very plain. They all did. It was the point. They were supposed to blend in and not attract attention.
It was the third car which caught her attention. She could see it was relatively new. In fact it looked like it was brand new. She shined her flashlight inside of it. She could see it was equipped with a four-speed transmission.
It wasn't a small car. It didn't look like a sports car in any way. It actually looked rather plain compared to the Thunderbird they'd 'borrowed' when they were in Texas. She wondered whatever became of it. Cameron hadn't been very explicit about what happened to it.
"I bet this thing is a 'sleeper'." Young Allison said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She quickly made the reference. A 'sleeper' was a vehicle which appeared to be an ordinary vehicle at first glance. Under the hood, and through the drive train, it was anything but.
"This is how it came from the factory." Cameron said. "There were only a couple hundred of the 1963 1/2 model built."
Young Allison knocked on the fender.
"I'm a little surprised to see this is fiberglass." Young Allison said. "I thought it was the domain of the Corvette."
Cameron could tell there were several body pieces which weren't made from steel. They were made from fiberglass. The bumpers were made from aluminum as were the mounts. Everything was done to shave weight off of the vehicle.
"This is something I asked Cammy and Sheila to pick up before I sent them on their temporal mission." Cameron said. "I had them retrofit it with some of the features eliminated from the factory to keep down weight. A couple of them were a heater and radio. Another one was springs to hold the hood open. It saved a few pounds. The lightweight van seats the car came with were replaced with more comfortable seats. Adding the standard equipment back in added another hundred pounds back onto the weight of it, but I wanted it to be comfortable for you."
Cameron moved over to the front of the vehicle and opened the hood.
You Are You
The events in one's life
Aren't all easy to stomach and chew
Some of them hang on forever
As if they were coated with glue
When a dead end is reached
It's time to take a new avenue
There's always one more thing
Which some will follow or pursue
It needs to be about sharing
Not what one can conquer or subdue
What may seem like a victory
Is just another Waterloo
One doesn't always think about
All of the things they do
It usually catches up to them
When the bill is due
Things are always more exciting
When it's something new
It is what it is
You are You
Nobody
