Chapter 5

Percy groaned as he woke up as he woke up in the infirmary. There was a bowl of nectar with a spoon on a table beside him, He was wearing fresh purple camp jupiter t-shirt and a pair of camo shorts. He swung his legs over the cotton bed and stood up. His legs felt like jello, He grabbed the bed post as he wobbled.

Percy took a look around, there were multiple beds placed next to the walls of the infirmary, Some of them had injured demigods in them.

Some of them unconscious. While the rest were reading a book or chatting. After he stood up they all glanced at him, gave a him a quick wave while some of them just smiled nervously at him, knowing about what had happened during the battle with the monsters 3 days ago. Percy had no idea why they looked at him with a nervous smile but he decided to ignore it for now and figure out why later. He stepped out of the infirmary as the sun shined bright into his eyes. There was nobody around. He headed over to the mess hall, He heard chatting and sounds of cutlery scraping on plates. But when he entered, It all went silent.

People stared at him while some whispered, He heard all kind of things from them since being a werewolf gave him advanced senses. People were whispering "Son of Neptune... Hope he isn't as bad as his brother."

He also heard someone else say "Wonder if he is gonna cause a earthquake." He heard a centurion whisper to his buddy "I heard a rumor that sons of Neptune are bad luck, I don't wanna have this year ruined.".

Percy gulped, his eyes started exploring the room, trying to find his pack, They were sitting in the other side of the mess hall. He surely had to have bad luck, "mabye that centurion was right" he thought. He walked towards the pack. People moved their chairs so Percy wouldn't bump into them. He heard chairs scraping as people moved their chairs, he cringed while heading towards the pack. After reaching the table he sat down at the nearest chair. The mess hall was still quite but after he sat down people slowly started talking again, The noise increasing till it was back to how he heard before he entered the mess hall. He licked his lips while staring at the pack. Finally Winter asked him if he was OK, percy nodded and rapid fired questions at Lupa "why are people looking at me weirdly?, and why are people saying that they hope I'm not as bad as my brother? When did I even have a brother? And also am I bad luck because alot of people were whispering that I was bad luck?" Lupa answered "You will find out later, this is something we need to discuss privately, there are ears here that do not need to know what about what I am about to discuss." Percy accepted the answer and nodded. "And also start eating, you will get better faster when you eat" Percy smiled a genuine smile and replied "aye aye captain."

After eating, Percy saw Reyna talking to the blond haired boy, Jason, Reyna noticing Percy walking over to them chatting excused herself and told Jason that she'll talk to him later. After that she turned to face Percy, "Your a son of Neptune? Why didn't you tell me?", Percy quickly replied with "How would I know I was a son of Neptune, Lupa told me that I was a brain child! Born from her imagination, I thought she was telling the truth!" Reyna looked around and saw people trying to eavesdrop into their conversation. "We'll talk about this inside the principia."

Percy got what she was saying and followed her to the headquarters of camp jupiter.

They needed to talk.
