Note: Woah, things are moving aren't they? Just what is this mysterious Project Messiah? What are All for one's true, long term goals? Guess you have no choice but to wait and see!

Shadow exchanging into his living room, Sung Jin-woo dropped like a sack of potatoes on his couch.

'One more mishap and my hero career is over?'

It wasn't at all something he liked the thought of. Though he would be lying if he said it actually did much to prevent possible future actions. If he needs to step in, he will. And that was that.

"Sung?"

"Mom?"

He hadn't realized till now that this was his first time seeing her since the internship started. He felt a bit sheepish, rubbing his hair like a child who forgot to do a chore.

She rushed over to him and embraced him hard, fighting back tears as she playfully ruffled his hair.

"You're too much like your father."

"Heh."

"I saw everything that happened online. Why do you put yourself in so much danger?"

She knew the power of her son now, but her husband was powerful too, and look at what transpired with him. It's not like she can just, forget something like that. To see stories of her 14 year old son battling known murderers, it could have stopped her heart.

"I'd do more for you and Jin-ah in a heartbeat."

"And I want you to be safe."

"Trust me mom, I'll be fine! I'm not letting anything stop me. Remember my promise."

"Oppa!" Called out a much younger voice.

"Guess it's a group hug now."

It's been a week since class A has gotten the news that those who passed the final exams would be participating in a summer training camp. While the written test seemed simple enough, what had the lone Korean curious was the practical exam.

"Well Sung, I doubt it will be anything strange or unusual. Perhaps another physical aptitude test like we took at the beginning of the year?"

"If it's something as simple as that I think I'd be dissa-"

He was wrenched out from his conversation by a harsh whack on the back of the head by a cafeteria tray.

"Ah, sorry did I bump into you? Guess I couldn't fit my tray around that big head of yours."

"Monoma from class B? What do you think you're doing?" Uraraka questioned angrily.

'Oh god, one of these types. Well a little bloodlust won't hurt'

Recalling the name of the ability he had used often in the past, the lich flashed his eye's blue for a moment.

"Ah, don't worry. I'm sure it was an accident. Be careful next time, though"

Monoma instantly recoiled off of pure instinct, dropping his tray onto the ground.

"Ah is that you Monoma? You look pale. Are you bothering Class A again? I'm sorry for his behavior."

Those at the table recognized her from the festival, Class B's big sister, Kendo.

"I overheard you guys talking about the practical test, sorry to burst your bubble but I think it's just another battle against the robots from the entrance exam."

That took the wind out of Jin-woo's sails if only a little. He hadn't had much expectations, but a rehash was even lower than said expectations.

"Come on Monoma, stop staring at them like that, it's rude!"

Back at class, many rejoiced as the information spread. Those who were worried of the test now had the confidence that they would emerge victorious, they beat the robots once and they could do it again.

Others had no reaction to it, it didn't matter what the exam was, it was just another obstacle, such was the way for one such student.

"Hey, edge lord!"

'Been a while since I've heard that'

"So, I heard all about your internship. Well I ain't having it! Try all you want, I'll open the gap between us like an ocean, just like the festival! You may have pulled a fast one on me, but I'm taking the spotlight back this time! Don't think I don't have you in my sights too half and half!"

Jin-woo sweat dropped at the declaration of war. From what he heard, Bakugo spent his entire internship learning grooming standards and etiquette. It must have been a hard pill to swallow, seeing your rival overshadow your prior accomplishments so easily.

The written exam came and went. Many studied harder than ever before, just for the training camp alone, being the one to miss out would have been heartbreaking. Luckily enough, everyone managed, one way or another to pass it, which was why just outside the main gate, all of class A, costumed up, readied themselves for the practical exam.

'Why is there so many teachers out here? If it was a rehash of the entrance exam, wouldn't they just need to watch from behind monitors like before?'

"Alright, let's begin your final exam. Of course, you can fail this exam, so if you want to attend camp you better not mess up. I bet you guys have some vague idea of what this exam is huh?"

"A robot rumble!" The class shouted out."

"Wroooong!" Climbed out principal Nezu from beneath Aizawa's bandages. "Because of recent circumstances, we decided to revamp the test!"

"Revamp?"

"Yes, you see, we want to focus on more flesh and blood opponents. Preparing you for the possibility of higher villain battles in the future. Which is why, your opponents will of course, be us!"

Class A had some mixed reactions, but facing off against pro heroes of any kind was a tall order.

"You will pair up with one other student and face a teacher two versus one."

"For example, Todoroki is with Yaoyorozu. And your opponent is me." Aizawa said with a hint of sadistic glee. That man looked like he was having too much fun with this thing.

"As for you Sung, you're with Bakugo. And your opponent."

"Is ME!" That unmistakable voice that meant hope and warmth for so many, now was an object of intimidation and challenge. One that a certain necromancer was more than ready for.

"You'll have to work together to take me down, so come at me hard!"

Everyone split up with their teams and moved to their battle locations. As for Sung and Bakugo, they had to take a bus to one of the on site fake cities. The ride was silent, far too silent for All Might's taste.

Thinking back to when the teams were first decided, they were put together for a multitude of reasons. One was the simple fact that they didn't get along much. However Bakugo's fighting style also renders Jin-woo's style inert. His large scale blast do just as much damage to shadows as the surrounding environment. Meanwhile Sung believes too confidently in his own abilities. Throwing himself into battles he doesn't belong, getting into trouble with the law in the process. All Might was chosen to show him that the law is there to protect him for a reason. However,

'I feel like an all out battle with young Sung won't be as easy as they all think'

"Now then, here's where we will fight it out."

'Finally, a chance to test my current level against the strongest hero'

"I can see you think you have this in the bag young man. But there's more to the test than fighting. You see, your objective is to get these handcuffs on me, or simply escape!"

"We can escape?"

"That's right. In many cases, you'll fight opponents you can't hope to defeat on your own."

'I doubt that'

"In those situations, it's best to escape and call for help. However for this particular circumstance, to give you two a chance, we had these made!"

All Might pulled out metallic bands of some sort, and attached them to his wrist and ankles.

"These weights will decrease my speed and stamina to a level deemed fair for you two!"

"Giving us a handicap? That's insulting." Bakugo commented, for once the monarch had to agree with him.

"Haha, we'll see."

Starting the students in the center, they had one single entrance from which to escape from, the one that their opponent would begin from.

"Alright, let the practical exam, START!"

'Guess I should have mentioned beforehand, my goal, young man, and young Bakugo, is to completely demolish you! So don't hold back!'

Completely ignoring his partner, Sung and his shadows, hungry for battle, raced towards the main gate.

"Arise!" He yelled out with vigor. Instantly, the streets were filled with several squads of shadows. Running alongside him was his personal four.

'This isn't an opponent I can hold back on even a little. If he truly is regaining his former strength, then he's more dangerous than ever'

Him and his entourage were suddenly forced to brace as all the former squads were wiped out like dust. A wind storm of immense power turning the entire street to crumbles.

'It's hard to tell his power from Thomas Andre.'

"I didn't think that would be enough to scare you, but let's see just how strong you really are young man!"

"Iron!"

In similar fashion to the Nomu fight, Iron's shield withstood his punch, just barely, however to his surprise, the hero grabbed the shield from the sides, spun him around and tossed him at the Lich.

'Bad move'

Using shadow swap, Jin-woo kept his momentum while exchanging with Iron, landing a right hook onto All Might's face that shook the ground itself, causing the number one hero to stumble back a bit to steele himself.

'Jeez young man! Is this your true strength? That really hurt!'

"DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME! STUN GRENADE"

Both fighters looking up, Bakugo came down like a shooting star, with about a similar level of subtlety.

The yellow blast in his hands turned the surrounding area a bright yellow. Shoved into All Might's face, it detonated into a slurry of deafening sound and blinding light. Forcing the number one hero to cover his eyes on reflex.

"Good work Bakugo! Now Bellion!"

"I don't need your praise!"

On command, the Marshall of the shadow army whirled his blade whip and like a lasso, captured All Might's left arm, the blades breaking the skin and drawing blood.

With their teacher momentarily dazed and restrained, Bakugo's hands popped in excitement as he readied a point blank blast.

Only he didn't expect All Might to suddenly grab him with his still free arm and aim the explosion at Bellion, erasing the shadow momentarily and freeing his other arm.

SMASH

The necromancer watched coldly as he nearly put a fist through the loud student and smashed his head deep into the concrete.

When All Might caught him staring, he shook his head.

"No love for your teammate Sung?"

"He'll only get in the way. I don't need him to beat you."

"Hmph, guess I should try to make you see the error in your ways. Perhaps it's time I begin to train you Gran Torino style eh young man?"

Jin-woo noted a change in the air around them.

'All Might's releasing similar pressure to the hero killer, hard to believe this is the same guy as before'

Releasing the bands around his limbs, they cracked and sunk into the floor.

"Alright no more playing. What you face now is the number one hero! All Might, the symbol of peace!"

Soon all he could see was his target, the world around him melted away into the back of his mind.

Thump thump, thump thump

Jin-woo bit his lip, he was starting to feel his muscles twitch. He had to do his best to keep his body under control, this was no time to lose focus.

It was like every other time, those moments before a massive battle, one where he he knew he wasn't going to have an easy win.

Soon they stood mere inches from each other.

Teacher, and student.

Jin-woo's right hand stiffened, and it begun.

SLAM!

By the skin of his teeth, he had escaped the fate of being turned into a pancake.

'What the hell, he really isn't holding back anymore'

To a normal human, they would have seen no movement, but All Might had instantly put his fist through the ground where Jin-woo had stood.

His glare sharpening, Jin-woo's concentration grew further, he knew this stage all too well, the initial onslaught.

'Here he comes!'

A hook, a jab, an uppercut, another jab, make that three.

With every attack, from the simplest punch to the widest blow, an entire storm kicked up, ripping pavement from the ground and sending street lamps flying high into the air.

Each time, Jin-woo tilted and swerved his body out of the way, just barely. A misstep here could mean getting knocked out instantaneously. While he recovered extremely fast from physical injury, he could still be 'put to sleep' as they say.

Their high speed battle took them to multiple locations around the fake city in the span of seconds.

One block, then the next.

Jin-woo jumped backwards and into the sky, narrowly avoiding a lariat that put a crater onto the side of a building.

'I got it now, his fighting style'

Catapulting himself back at the hero, a well placed kick right below the neck sent the mountain of muscle back a bit, but not as far as he thought.

'That kick would have turned the hero killer's chest to gory paste!'

"Not bad kid, that actually stung a little."

Then he dug his feet in deep, whatever was coming, Jin-woo wanted no part.

"CAROLINAAAA, SMAAAAASH!" yelled All Might, kicking off of the concrete and into a direct collision course with the necromancer.

As he uncrossed his arms, the air force released in kind, creating a cross shaped blade of wind.

"Iron." He called again.

The armored behemoth rose its shield and braced, the incoming wind force causing Iron to buckle slightly as it grated its teeth as it fought to remain stable. Then he completely was swiped off the ground as All Might arrived only a moment later and kicked him into another building entirely.

"Now!" Jin-woo called out from seemingly nowhere. Was he invisible?

All Might couldn't dwell on those thoughts as he was quickly chained by the neck with that same attack from earlier.

The number one hero winced in pain, for a moment unsure on whether to focus on trying to remove the blades from his neck or attack the heavily armored knight head on.

"Dagger rush"

His moment of indecisiveness cost him dearly as appearing from thin air, Jin-woo sped past him in a style reminiscent of his old teacher, only this time, with every pass, a deep slash imbedded itself onto his legs.

Having had enough of this, All Might punched the ground itself, kicking a tornado up that swallowed up both shadow and lich.

"Kaisel!"

The wyvern screeched in response as it carried him out of the pull of the vortex.

'I'm not doing enough damage, if only he had…'

He nearly face palmed, it was too obvious. Why hadn't he thought of it before?

Leaping down onto the ground, he sprinted to match his teacher blow for blow once more.

"Think you can keep this up forever young man!?"

"Yes, but you won't."

A miss, and another.

With every attack dodged, Jin-woo closed the gap just enough for a good

Wham!

A powerful right hook to the side of All Might's gut.

"Gaugh!"

The corners of jin-woo's mouth curled just a tad bit.

'Bingo'

Once more they engaged, with the Korean fully on defense, until again!

BOOM

Using his shin, he kicked All Might in the same spot as before, this time the hero spit out some blood as he took a few steps back.

'Oh you truly have no mercy young man;

'Don't let up!' was all he could think, finally getting a break in their cqc.

Activating quicksilver, it was now Jin-woo on the offensive, landing blow after blow as his teacher did their best to cover up, focusing on defending his right side.

'Open up!'

Eye's glowing blue, a very sly use of rulers authority forced All Might's arms apart as an uppercut threw All might a good few feet into the air.

'Almost, almost there!'

"Arise!"

From both sides, massive shadowy humanoids sprouted from the ground. Each one several stories tall.

'Oh great'

Both wrapped their hands tightly around his body, crushing the life out of their enemy.

All Might, between his heavy breathing and difficulty in keeping the massive hands from turning him into playdough, saw something that set off alarms in his head.

Jin-woo began to collect all his magic into a single point, his right hand. The leaking power alone kicked up a mini tornado of his own that flowed around him.

"Tch…Well done young man, but I'm afraid you have one lesson you have yet to learn."

Jin-woo began running. If he could land this, it would be the end.

"A hero…A HERO CAN ALWAYS BREAK OUT OF A TOUGH SPOT"

Attempting to ignore his shout, Jin-woo kept running, a bad decision in hindsight.

All Might, with a reinvigorated strength, pushed both pairs of hands off his body, grabbing them by the fingers.

'There's no way!'

Gritting his teeth and pouring everything into his arms, All Might swung both giants right at the necromancer.

Forced to recall them into his shadow, All Might took the chance to get in close once again, sending a barrage of fist.

POW POW BOOM

Jin-woo narrowed his eyes as he returned fire, clashing fist like a pair of machine guns firing at each other close range. The floor beneath them began to chip away as a crater formed, the tens of hundreds of blows eroding the concrete from the force of the air pressure alone.

"Running out of ideas!? You've tried this already!"

"YOU CAN COMPETE WITH ME AT A 100 CAN YOU?! WELL THEN I GUESS I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO MAKE YOU SURRENDER FROM BEYOND THAT!"

'What!?'

POW BOOM

CRASH

The deafening sound of each contested blow sounded different that time.

CRASH

CRASH

'I'm…getting pushed back?'

His feet began to slide backwards, and his fist were being steadily overpowered.

SMASH

His head recoiled back as a clean hit finally managed to land on his chin. A bit of spit escaped Jin-woo's mouth.

All Might did not let his chance escape. Rushing forward to deliver another attack, he ducked under Jin-woo's sweeping dagger attack, falling onto his back and kicking the necromancer high into the sky.

'Focus!'

Caught in the air by Kaisel, Jin-woo's breathed in deep as his body began to glow with overwhelming power. His subconscious took over as his only goal became victory at any cost.

"You've heard this many times before I'm sure. But now, as your mentor, I'll have to teach it to you first hand. NOW LET ME SHOW YOU HOW A TRUE HERO GOES BEYOND!"

All Might crouched before rocketing into the air at alarming speed.

Sung, using Kaisel's underside, did the same, kicking off his beast to give him a burst of momentum as he flew straight at the number one hero.

"PLUUUUUUUUSSS-"

"This is an announcement. The first team to pass is, Bakugo and Jin-woo!"

"ULTRAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
