Narrator: Thus on this great and joyous day did all the kingdom celebrate the long awaited royal birth. And good King Stefan and his Queen and their Pokémon made welcome their life long friend.

(A quartet of castle trumpeters sound off a fanfare on their trumpets as the royal majordomo and herald called Lord Duke begins to announce.)

Lord Duke: Their royal highnesses, King Hubert and Prince Phillip!

(King Hubert, his Pokémon: Heracross, and his son, Prince Phillip, walk to King Stefan, Queen Leah and their Pokémon and bow to them. Hubert welcomes Stefan with open arms. A Shiftry, which is King Stefan's Pokémon, welcomed the Heracross.)

Narrator: Fondly had these monarchs dreamed one day their kingdoms to unite. Thus today would they announce that Phillip, Hubert's son and heir to Stefan's child would be betrothed. And so to her his gift he brought, and looked, unknowing, on his future bride.

(A quartet of castle trumpeters sound off a fanfare as the three good fairies and their Floettes arrived in a beam of heavenly light as Duke started to make another announcement of their arrival.)

Lord Duke: Their most honored and exalted excellencies, the Three Good Fairies: Mistress Flora, Mistress Fauna, and Mistress Merryweather! Their Floettes: Rosa, Ivy, and Holly!

(The fairies and Floettes flew towards the cradle by the throne and saw the little princess.)

Fairies: (awe to see her)

Merryweather: The little darling.

Holly: Floette.

Fairies: (flew to the king and queen and bowed along with the Floettes) Your majesties!

Floettes: (all together) Floettes!

Flora: Each of us the child may bless with a single gift. No more, no less. (flies to the cradle along with Rosa) Little princess, my gift shall be the gift of beauty. (waves her wand)

Choir: ne gift, beauty rare,

Gold of sunshine in her hair,

Lips that shame the red red rose,

She'll walk with springtime wherever she goes

Fauna: (flies to the cradle along with Ivy) Tiny princess, my gift shall be the gift of song. (waves her wand)

Choir: One gift, the gift of song,

Melody her whole life long.

The nightingale's her troubadour,

Bringing her sweet serenade to her door

Merryweather: (flies to the cradle along with Holly) Sweet princess, my gift shall be the-

(A gust of wind interrupted Merryweath as it blows hard for her to concentrate on her gift. The doors were opened and the banner flags flagged rapidly. King Stefan, Queen Leah, the fairies, and the Pokémon watch with horrified amazement. Lightning and thunder came and there stood Maleficent as she appears in a ball of fire, followed by her Rookidee.)

Fauna: Why, it's Maleficent!

Merryweather: What does she want here?

Flora: Shhh!

Maleficent: (speaks to King Stefan) Well, quite a glittering assemblage, King Stefan. Royalty, nobility, the gentry, and, how quaint, even the rebel.

Merryweather: Ooh! (angrily starts to fly towards Maleficent but is held back by Flora)

Maleficent: (petting her Rookidee) I really felt quite distressed of not receiving an invitation.

Merryweather: You weren't wanted!

Holly: (nods her head) Floette!

Maleficent: Not wa-? Oh dear, what an awkward situation. I had hoped it was merely due to some oversight. Well, in that event I'd best be on my way.

Queen Leah: And you're not offended, your excellency?

Maleficent: Why no, your majesty. And to show I bear no ill will, I, too, shall bestow a gift on the child.

(The fairies and their Floettes gathered around the cradle to protect the princess.)

Maleficent: (raises her staff) Listen well, all of you! (She taps her staff on the floor with a short crack.) The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who adore her.

King Stefan and Queen Leah: (stood angry and worried as they listen to her)

Maleficent: But, before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel... (She swirls her hand around the orb on her staff, depicting visions of monsters and a spinning wheel.) And die! (The last image shows Aurora on her death bed.)

Queen Leah: Oh no! (rushes to the cradle and her baby in her arms)

Roserade: (feel terrified) Roserade!

Maleficent: (laughing inappropriately)

King Stefan: Seize that creature!

Maleficent: (holding off the castle guards) Stand back, you fools!

(The guards watch in shock and fear, as Maleficent disappears in a flash of lightning, laughing, as her Rookiedee flies out of the castle. Leaving King Stefan and Queen Leah in despair as they held their child close.)

Flora: Don't despair, your majesties. Merryweather still has her gift to give.

Rosa: (nods her head) Floette.

King Stefan: Then, she can undo this fearful curse?

Merryweather: Oh, no, sire.

Flora: Maleficent's powers are far too great.

Fauna: But she can help!

Merryweather: But-

Fauna: Just do your best, dear.

Flora: Yes, go on.

(Merryweather and Holly looked at each other and the blue fairy start waving her wand.)

Merryweather: Sweet princess, if through this wicked witch's trick, a spindle should your finger prick, a ray of hope there still may be in this, the gift I give at thee. Not in death, but just in sleep the fateful prophecy you'll keep, and from this slumber you shall wake when true love's kiss the spell shall break.

Choir: (singing) For true love conquers all
