This is my first Fic. ONE SHOT.

This was originally a story I wrote for Language Arts last year. It wasn't a Gilmore Girls story, but I changed the names and now it is. I don't think it is a very good story, and I am not a very good writer, but you can read it if you want.

It is set somewhere in season 5, before Lorelai proposed. And it is really short. Its pretty much all dialogue.

Oh, and this might be kinda hard to figure out in the story, but they are bungee jumping (I'm not sure why, I think I had probably watched the bungee jumping episode of Full House the night before!!).

The Jump

"D-d-do I really have to do this?" Lorelai asked. You could tell she was nervous from the tone of her voice.

"You'll be fine, and I'll be with you the whole time," her boyfriend, Luke, reassured her.

"OK. Let's go," she said, her voice still sounding the same.

"Hold on tight," And then they jumped.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH," you could hear Lorelai's screams from the top of the bridge. She soon settled down. "Wow, this is actually kind of fun!"

"Yeah, I told you it would be." OK, you can do this. He thought to himself. "Uh, Lorelai?"

"Yeah?" Uh-oh, he sounds kinda nervous, this couldn't be good.

"I actually had an ulterior motive in bringing you with me. I need to tell you, well ask, you something."

"OK," she said, with not emotion what so ever.

He clears his throat, "Lorelai Gilmore, I love you more than you could ever know, and I would be honored if you would be my wife. Will you marry me?"

"Of course I will," she replies, tears starting to roll down her cheeks. Luke lightly brushes them away.

They were finally on land again, walking to Luke's truck. "Wow, I can't believe we are getting married!! Oh my God, I have to call Rory, and Sookie, and the rest of the town!"

"You know Lorelai, We are going to have to tell your parents at some point." Luke tells her.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, but we're let's wait a little while."

"OK. I Love You."

"I love you, too. How could I not?" Luke bends down and places a short, but very meaningful, kiss on her lips.

"Let's go."
