Many happy new year and holidays and all that jazz that are upon us.
First of all, many thanks to those still reading this tale, welcome to those who may be new. I do know that it has been a bit, (2 months gasp!) that I updated, but I did get a new job at the beginning of Dec, my family from 2 provinces over made arrangements to come to my house this holiday season and thus I was trying to normalize myself all around! Thus, new role in my career path, having 13 in total extra people for the holidays and a whopping 22 persons in my house for Christmas dinner... needless to say, I wasn't readily available to keep up with an update!
Though...I find that I must be complaining...but I feel readers need to know there is life behind the story ya know! I did have a lot of this chapter done, and I just finally, FINALLY finished it off to my liking! So please, enjoy this more than double the size regular chapter!

Kyuubi sat on the snow covered porch, a mug of hot liquid between his fingers and he breathed out long breaths of frosted air into the November chilly day. The sun's rays were causing sparkles on the snow covered ground but he couldn't find himself to appreciate the beauty of it. His winter parka crinkled slightly when he brought the mug up to his lips to take a sip of the warm liquid.
It had been a few days since he discovered in the library with Hinata what danger he had possibly created. Since then, he and Hinata were gathering the informative pieces of what Kyuubi knew, what he had done and what the possible outcome could be. He sighed out again and ran his hand through his thick red hair. 'I'm a fucking idiot,' he belitted himself for probably the hundredth time. Naruto hadn't returned to the house yet, for that he was slightly thankful. One because he didn't want to deal with the wrath of the alpha leader and two, he wanted time to be able to process and fix this. Not to mention he needed to get over the guilt he was feeling of possibly putting his whole pack in danger. He pinched the area between his eyes, closing his eyes when the slight prick of pain gathered behind his eyes. 'And Kimimaro, Nagato, Konan, their pup? I need to get them to safety.' Kyuubi leaned back in the wicker chair he was sitting on. 'How can I keep them all safe?' He pinched his lips together for a few moments before nodding his head. He would have to leave. Make like he was never here and draw the danger away, far away so that everyone -
"K'uubs?"
The voice had Kyuubi snapping his eyes open quickly. He didn't hear anyone come outside, which was odd. He blinked quickly, thinking about how out of practice he is getting if he didn't hear anyone approach him. 'Just another reason to get…'
"No," the voice suddenly snapped at him. Kyuubi's eyes widened at the beta wolf that came to stand before him, her arms folded across her chest and her green eyes glaring daggers at him.
"No? What are you -"
"I know that look Kyuubi," Sakura snapped out at the redheaded alpha. "You are thinking about running." She frowned down at him, her eyes daring him to say different.
Kyuubi just stared up at her, no words were forming in his brain to respond to that. Sakura's face softened then, a small smile on her lips as she released her arms to fall to her side. She pulled the collar of her jacket up around her neck a little tighter and moved to sit in another wicker chair near the young alpha and dragged it closer to Kyuubi's knees.
"Don't think you are fooling me mister," Sakura began as she leaned forward and leaned her elbows on her legs. She sighs out, gnawing on her bottom lip for a moment to think of what she was going to say. Her soft green eyes then looked into Kyuubi's emerald greens, "don't run away from the situation K'uubs. We are a pack, a family, we are stronger together." She reached her delicate fingers out and touched Kyuubi's knee.
Kyuubi snorted out a sound of disagreement. "You can't understand Sakura," he grumbled out but didn't snap at the beta. "How else can I protect all of you from my mistake?"
"It's not your mistake," Sakura scolded him lightly. "Dangers happen all the time, we learn, we grow and we always know that we are stronger together. Do you not trust your pack?" She tilted her head in question.
"I never think like that! You're my life, my family! Of course I do!" Kyuubi barked out, sounding upset that Sakura would say such a thing.
"Then trust us to help you," Sakura breathed out. "Don't abandon us, not again K'uubs." She gave a sad look to the young alpha before patting his knee gently. "We love you and won't ever give up on you." She stood then and smiled again at him before turning and walking back into the house. Kyuubi watched the beta walk away, his voice suddenly gone from the lump that rose in his throat. 'His pack, his family...always were there for him weren't they?' Swallowing hard at the realization, he rubbed the moisture from his eyes and slapped his leg. He was going to do this, for himself and for his family. He stood up, with a solid plan in his head, he made his way inside. He needed to talk to the pack.
Later on, Kyuubi, Kiba, Hinata and Sakura were sitting in one of the main rooms, going over the paperwork that Hinata and Kyuubi had been working on the past couple days.
"So let me get this straight," Kiba spoke up, leaning back in his chair, putting his hands behind his head. "You believe that you insulted a vampire just before you headed to the north mountains, that was standing outside the burnt building after the raid?" Kiba glanced over at the redheaded alpha. Kyuubi just nodded affirmation and a grunt. "So now, because history has always said that you should never insult vampires because they are so high and mighty, some pride shit that all vampires have, you think that the vampires are going to try something?" Kiba finished off by leaning forward against the table, placing his chin on his one hand. Kyuubi just nodded again with a grunt. Kiba let out a long sigh. "Look, can't an apology work for these guys? We are in the 21st century for fucks sake, perhaps they have changed?" Kiba shrugged out.
"Sadly, from my teachings, that hasn't changed in the slightest Kiba." It was Sakura who spoke now. She shook her head sadly with her arms crossed. "History shows that vampires have only ever approached others with violence."
"Also, from the situation that happened in the forest, I'm certain that they would use that as fuel to the whole insult thing. The one vampire did say that it wasn't over," Kyuubi added. "I wouldn't put it past them to know my scent now, even if I only met the one before I went north to the mountains." Kyuubi shook his head. "And since Naruto and the others were there, there is no telling who they want to take their revenge on now." Kyuubi dropped his head into his hands at the table. "It's all my fault," he whispered.
Hinata dropped a hand onto Kyuubi's shoulder. "Don't think like that Kyuubi. You are not to blame for a species that apparently doesn't have any strong morals and are blinded by their sick senses of pride." The group looked at Hinata surprisingly. It wasn't often that Hinata would talk badly of another group. Her pale eyes looked around shocked. "What?"
"Look at you, sounding so, so noble," Kiba chuckled out. "But I certainly like it!" He winked and clicked his teeth at the other beta. Hinata blushed fiercely and turned her eyes away.
"We don't even know what the vampires were doing in the forest there. We may have stumbled upon them doing something, which is why they were so aggressive. There are no colonies in that area!" Kyuubi breathed out. "It was a complete surprise to see them there when we came through. Hidan and Kisame said too they were just passing through, checking out an old village that used to stand there and bam! They were hit with a hoard of vamps!" Kyuubi's arms went up to emphasize his feelings.
"Perhaps there was something to that old village?" Sakura piped up this time.
Kyuubi shook his head. "There was nothing there but a bunch of overgrown old beams of wood where houses once stood."
Sakura tapped her chin, her brows furrowed as she thought. "Well, whatever they were looking for or exploring, it isn't our business unless…"
"Unless it's something attained to war," Hinata finished.
"There haven't been any wars for centuries. I hardly believe that they have something brewing that could be that extravagant," Kiba huffed out. "Let's figure out what we are going to do, since the vampires are most likely gonna wanna come and teach Kyuubi a lesson or something."
"I think we should add that there have been vampires around our borders in the past year. Something may be up?" Sakura pulled the log book out and pointed to the days when vampire scents have been found near their borders. "I know Naruto talked to other clans and there hasn't been anything to be worried about, but it is odd that vampires are around...maybe they are looking to expand their landbase?"
"They don't expand. Their only goal ever is to feed and decimate."
The group of wolves looked up to see Utakata leaning in the doorway. His arms were crossed, his lips were pinched shut and there was a sadness in his eyes.
"What do you know?" Kyuubi huffed out.
"I apologize, but I couldn't help overhear." Utakata bowed and stepped back. "I-I will go back-"
"No! Come!" Sakura called out and hurried over. "Don't ever think that you are not welcome." Sakura touched Utakata's arm gently to get his attention back to the room. "Please share with us what you may know. No amount of information is too much." She turned slightly to glare at Kyuubi who just rolled his eyes in response. Sakura growled low at Kyuubi who eep'd out and looked away guiltily.
Utakata looked at all the wolves sitting in the room and nodded to the gentle pink haired beta and took a seat with the others.
"Go on, tell us what you know Utakata-kun," Hinata whispered out gently, a smile adorning her lips.
Utakata clasped his hands together, looking at the eyes that were on him. His heart thumped wildly at the position he was in but he drew a breath. "From what I understand, their desire to dominate is overwhelmingly strong." He gnawed his lip briefly. "Their belief is that other species exist only for the feeding of their kind."
"Well that's pretty much what all species think of how vamps think," Kiba breathed out with a long breath.
Utakata shook his head. "Yes, I believe that is how all think as well, but there is a deep underlying plan that has always been in the works with their kind. And together with their prideful ways, it has never been less than a massacre." Utakata shuddered slightly.
"What have you seen man?" Kiba leaned forward, his eyes wide with question. "And how would you have seen or know this shit and still be alive?"
Utakata just shook his head again.
"Unless you're a spy!" Kiba blurted out, slamming his hands on the table.
"Kiba! Stop!" Kyuubi snarled out at the beta wolf. "Don't assume anything like that! After what Utakata did for Kisame!" Kyuubi's eyes flashed yellow, his inner alpha puffing up its lead in the role.
Sakura slapped Kiba across the back of his head and Kiba yelped in surprise, covering his head with his hands. She then turned a smile to Utakata who looked on in surprise. "Go ahead Utakata-kun, go on and tell us what you know."
"I-I…" Utataka looked from each set of eyes, feeling a bit of panic rise within him. He didn't know these wolves much, he didn't know if he could trust them, he was a stranger here… he shouldn't have -
Hinata grabbed Utakata's hand quickly and squeezed. "Thank you for sharing what you did." Her voice was soft and soothing. "Sakura, I think Utakata needs a break." Hinata could see the alarm in Utakata's eyes. In a way she could understand slightly why the wolf would feel this way. He had never met this pack before being brought to them. He had been exposed to culture shock and needed time. Sakura looked at Hinata and nodded in understanding before Hinata stood, her hand still clasped to Utakata's. "Come, let's get a hot tea." Utakata just nodded slowly and stood with the beta, allowing Hinata to lead him from the room.
"What the hell was that about?" Kiba blurted out, his voice sounding agitated.
"Idiot!" Sakura hissed at Kiba. "Have some fucking compassion you - you dog! You have about as much compassion as a cockroach!" Sakura shook her fist at him. Kiba shivered and covered his head again, afraid of Sakura's wrath.
Kyuubi just chuckled at the sight. It was good seeing the pack as if nothing had changed. 'Sakura just as violent as always,' he thought with a smile. "Kibs, we don't know what kind of shit Utakata has gone through. Not to mention I think he has been living on his own for a long time, in solitude ya know?" Kyuubi ran a hand through his hair, it had been a long day. "And don't forget, he saved Kisame, though I am not sure how, but we will figure that out later." Kiba gave a look of understanding. "Let's just figure out what we need to do to protect our pack, if something were to happen. Good?"
Kiba and Sakura hummed in agreement. "We should get the information all ready for when Naruto returns, which should be anytime now. I'll send Sasuke a message since Naruto's phone is here." Sakura grabbed her phone and sent a quick message while the other two began to talk about what they knew.
~back at the Uchiha household~
Naruto rolled over on the bed, pulled Sasuke in closer and nuzzled his hair. Sasuke was still sleeping, or so he thought, from having a nap after lunch. Naruto, had more than happily slipped in the bed with Sasuke, his alpha purring out loudly and possessively over the omega. It had been a few days since the emotional blow up Sasuke had with his parents when he learned that his parents had known Sasuke's status all this time. Sasuke had struggled with his emotions, leaving him drained physically while his mind became angry, furious, raging to trembling with sadness and sorrow. Though his mate was always seen as a stoic hard assed but most gorgeous mysterious man, Naruto could see how this information had affected him. Sasuke had refused to speak with his parents these last couple days and kept to his room mostly, only going out when he wanted air and decided that he wasn't going to let his parents keep him hostage in his room.
Naruto's alpha would not let Sasuke out of his sight. If Sasuke disappeared, even if it was just to the bathroom, his alpha's anxiety would rise so suddenly and quickly that Naruto was almost knocked to the floor left feeling dizzy and breathless.
A knock at the door had Naruto quickly jump up on all fours and hover over Sasuke's sleeping form on the bed, his lips curled up showing off his canines. A deep growl emanated from his chest when his eyes narrowed at the door. Anything he was just currently thinking of was just thrown out the window when his alpha made the move to protect his mate.
"Naruto? Sasuke? Are you guys decent?" Deidara's teasing voice called out softly from the other side of the door. "I have something to eat for you here! Can I come in?"
Naruto's alpha settled quickly into the back of Naruto's mentality when it realized it was the other omega. Naruto shook his head and slapped his forehead, dragging his palm down his face. "Fucker...you need to be in more control," he muttered to himself. He glanced down at Sasuke who was still sleeping beneath him, so Naruto gently got up and went to let in the omega.
Holding his finger over his lips to signal to Deidara that Sasuke was still sleeping, Deidara just smiled and quietly entered the room, carrying a tray of various foods. He shuffled quietly to the side of the room, putting down the tray of food and then nodded for Naruto to come over to him.
"Itachi and I are going to see Tsunade-sama today. I just wanted to let you know that, since Mikoto-san and Fugaku-sama are still here of course. But Kisame and Hidan are still here as well in case someone tries to stir up trouble," Deidara whispered.
Naruto knew what Deidara was implying. Since the blow up, Sasuke's parents have been trying to get on Sasuke's good side, even his cousins were trying to talk to him, but Sasuke would have nothing to do with it at this time. Sasuke was beyond pissed at the whole situation, and Naruto knew that Sasuke needed much more time to deal with this new information. Being his mate, he understood that much and Naruto took pride in that.
Naruto rubbed the back of his head. "I want to take Sasuke home and I think today will be the day." He had wanted to get Sasuke back to the Uzumaki household for the last couple days, but he also wanted to make sure Sasuke was well enough to make the trip, not to mention his alpha was also adamant in ensuring the omega was fine to travel as well. Random thoughts of losing Sasuke along the way did not fare well for either Naruto or his alpha. And of course, Sasuke had to be agreeable to it.
Deidara nodded in agreement. "You haven't been easy to deal with ya know 'un," Deidara teased out. Naruto's alpha had been extremely protective of Sasuke since they got back into the manor, then the whole parent thing that didn't go over well, and Sasuke being with pup, Deidara sighed. Everytime anyone got close to Sasuke, the alpha would snarl, growl, and step in front of Sasuke to block the view and Deidara and Itachi were really the only one that could get in and see both of them comfortably. "You're alpha been a pain in the ass to deal with, but meh," Deidara shrugged. "As long as I can see my otouto, I won't hold it against ya." Deidara hugged Naruto then.
Naruto squeezed Deidara in a tight hug, "tell baa-chan I'll be home and that I'll call or drop in soon." Naruto knew he would have to tell his baa-chan about Sasuke or he would be certain she would retaliate by breaking his legs or something.
"Itachi and I will see you and Sasuke either before you go or we go," Deidara reminded him when he left the room.
Naruto grabbed some food off the tray, loaded up a plate and sat with it on the bed while Sasuke still slept. His locks were sticking out in all directions, a section falling above his eyes just slightly, and Naruto gently pushed that hair aside to see his beautiful black lashes resting against the smooth light coloured skin. He then ran a finger over the black coloured eyebrows, pushing the dark hairs in one direction. When Sasuke's forehead and eyebrows frowned, Naruto giggled and pushed his finger through the lines on Sasuke's forehead.
"Time to wake up," Naruto whispered out, his finger still pushing on Sasuke's forehead to smooth out the wrinkles. Sasuke's nose then scrunched up, his eyes squeezed tighter and a quiet little growl escaped through his nose. "Aw don't be like that Sas, I got some food here for you." Naruto smiled as he watched the raven slowly come awake. When those mysterious dark eyes cracked open, Naruto leaned over to kiss him on the forehead and whispered, "how about we go home today?"
~later in the day at the Uzumaki household~
"Naruto and Sasuke are home everyone!" Sakura hollered out to the house. She quickly skipped her way to the front door, swinging it open to the alpha and omega that appeared on the front step. She rushed at Naruto and gave him a strong hug before turning to Sasuke and doing the same.
Kiba and Hinata appeared next, welcoming the pair home. Kyuubi watched from the sidelines as he watched his alpha blond brother smile and step into the home, making sure Sasuke was in before closing the door. Where as Naruto was all smiles and chatter towards everyone, Sasuke was quiet and nodded at the others when they spoke to him. Kyuubi tilted his head slightly at the quiet raven, watching him interact, or really not interact as much as Naruto. Kyuubi knew who Sasuke was, the younger brother of Itachi, but never really met him, only that Naruto was courting him before Naruto's coma and before Kyuubi left the pack. Kyuubi grumbled slightly at that memory. After the shooting incident, Kyuubi left and of course didn't know what happened between Naruto and Sasuke after Naruto woke. He only knew that upon their return just a few days ago, that Naruto and Sasuke were mated, but nobody really went into detail, since Naruto took off shortly after they returned to the Uzumaki pack household.
'It's apparent a lot has happened since I have been gone…' Kyuubi hummed to himself softly. And wasn't Sasuke an alpha? He could sense the omega from where he was standing but Kyuubi just scratched his head and sighed. There was a lot that he didn't know that the other pack members did and he immediately felt like an outsider.
A large heated lump wrapped itself around Kyuubi suddenly, causing him to stumble backwards to hold himself up. Kyuubi recognized it immediately as Naruto of course. "Jeezuz man, you gain weight or something?" Kyuubi teased out and gave some strong pats on the back of Naruto's back in the hug.
"Hey! Have not!" Naruto pulled out of the hug and slapped Kyuubi on the arm. "I want you to meet Sasuke, my mate!" Naruto beamed loudly and held out his arm towards the quiet raven. Sasuke came forward, nodded towards Kyuubi when Naruto wrapped his arm around Sasuke's shoulders. "Sasuke, this is Kyuubi, my second in command," Naruto beamed out and slapped Kyuubi on the shoulder.
"Pleasure," Sasuke hummed out and held out his hand.
"It's a pleasure finally meeting you, since this bone head would never shut up about you," Kyuubi teased out when he tilted his head towards Naruto.
"Hey!" Naruto countered.
"Oh Sasuke this and that, oh should I wear this, will Sasuke like this, do you think I look sexy for Sasuke?" Kyuubi mocked out in a teasing voice, waving his hands about and looking about the room.
"Wh–what! I never said–! Kyuubi!" Naruto wailed out and pushed at Kyuubi's shoulder as Kyuubi continued to use a mocking voice. "Sas, don't listen to him! I never went on like that!" Naruto whined out and then lunged at Kyuubi who was still going on. The laughter broke through the room when Kiba, Hinata and Sakura came to stand beside Sasuke watching the two alpha's roll about the floor, each trying to pin the other down while Kyuubi still mocked out about Naruto's whining over Sasuke. Naruto sputtered out retorts about the accusations and Sasuke folded his arms and hummed out.
"Are they always like this?" Sasuke asked the group of wolves around him that were either giggling or rolling their eyes at the two.
"This is pretty calm compared to some other days," Kiba laughed out when Naruto yelped out in surprise when Kyuubi managed to head lock him.
"Sometimes we need to kick their asses outside or else they will destroy the house!" Sakura added, tsking and shaking her head, but the smile on her face was warm. Kyuubi let out a war cry as he pulled Naruto to the floor, the blond yelping on the way and scrambling trying to gain control against the red haired alpha.
"Maybe this is one of these times?" Hinata was next to speak up.
"Sasuke, are you hungry hun?" Sakura turned to Sasuke, looking him over. "Did you want some tea? Or something?"
Sasuke eyed the two alphas rolling on the floor and inhaled deeply. There was so much to process since Naruto returned and he still felt tired. Though his wolf felt very content with being back in the Uzumaki pack household, even in the presence of Kyuubi, who was an alpha, didn't seem to bother his omega wolf. Maybe he was starting to get more control? Then there was the situation of his parents' unexpected visit, the surprising explanation from his mother that his parents already knew his wolf status all his life, and of course, the unexpected pregnancy. He let out another sigh and looked at Sakura when she placed her hand on his arm, a concerned look on her face.
"Sasuke? Are you alright?" she asked calmly.
"Hn," Sasuke nodded. "Tea and something to eat sounds like a good idea." He turned to look at his blond alpha, still rolling around on the floor. "Naruto," he spoke out firmly.
Naruto immediately stopped and looked up at Sasuke, Kyuubi's head stuck in a headlock between his arms.
"Ho–how did you do that?" Kiba barked out in surprise. "Usually it takes Sakura threatening to neuter both of them several times to get them to stop!" Sakura and Hinata rolled their eyes and giggled behind him.
Naruto jumped up quickly, leaving Kyuubi on the floor and rushing to Sasuke's side. "Are you alright? Did you need something? Did you need me to carry you? Are you hungry? Thirsty? Do you–"
"Dobe!" Sasuke snapped out. "Stop rambling." Sasuke folded his arms and smirked at Naruto.
Naruto's hands patted on Sasuke's arms before hesitating and crystal eyes fell on dark orbs with a feigning pout, "teme."
"Let's get some food happening, we have lots to talk about," Sakura spoke up. Naruto snapped his head up to look at her. "Th-that is if you two are up to it?" she suddenly added, her eyes looking back at the alpha in question and she suddenly felt the need to be submissive before the alpha leader.
Naruto looked back at Sasuke, waiting for an answer. Sasuke just nodded his head and turned towards the kitchen. Naruto jerked his head towards the kitchen as well and followed Sasuke. The rest of the pack just looked on with awe.
"Talk about whipped," Kiba whispered to Hinata, nudging her with his elbow. Hinata smacked him back. "What?!" Kiba whined out as Hinata just grabbed his arm and took off after Naruto and Sasuke.
Kyuubi got up off the floor and stood beside Sakura silently. "So, that's Sasuke eh?" he whispered out.
Sakura glanced over at the red headed alpha. "Welcome home Kyuubi," she smirked, laced her arm through his and dragged them off to the kitchen as well.
==intermission==
Itachi and Deidara sat in the large cabin living room watching as Tsunade brought out a tray of tea before settling down in a high back chair, crossing her legs and opening up a notebook.
"Thank you for coming Deidara-kun, Itachi-san," she spoke out, clicking her pen and making notes in her book.
Itachi nodded at the elder alpha and sipped at his tea. He glanced over at Deidara who was squeezing his knees nervously. Itachi released a purr and a subtle calming scent when he sensed his omega was nervous about being here. Deidara relaxed suddenly and glanced up at Itachi. His light blue eyes softened greatly and he leaned into the alpha.
"Itachi-san was telling me your concerns Deidara-kun, and with your's and his permission, I would like to do an examination to get some answers of some possible explanations to your concerns." She smiled at the omega.
Deidara nodded slightly.
"The first thing though, is I would like to know a little about your history." She noted in her mind the sudden flinch of the omega when she mentioned the history. "Know that anything you tell me will be held in confidence, tell me what you can, if you are comfortable, but understand the more I know, the more I should be able to diagnose the possible problem and find a cure."
Deidara sighed slightly and looked back up at Itachi, who gave a small smile of support. "Wh-where should I start Tsunade-sama?" His fingers fidgeted with a loose thread on his shirt and he tried to keep his eyes up to the elder alpha.
"How about when you and Itachi-san met," she responded. "And if I need any other information, I'll just ask questions along the way." She smiled warmly and took a sip of her tea.
Deidara shook his head in a yes and grasped Itachi's hand before taking in a deep shuddering breath. Itachi squeezed his hand gently, showing his support along with his continuous purr and scent.
"I wasn't at my best then," he started out, taking some breaths to calm himself. "I–I don't really know how he came that way, I don't really remember what he said, but–but,"
~flashback~
He curled up into himself as tightly as he could, as closely as he could between two large garbage canisters, a chain link fence at his back. It was night, the shadows being cast by the containers should conceal him, hopefully. He listened carefully, clenching his teeth tightly to suppress the whimpers of pain that continuously shot through his spine and head. Hugging his legs and dipping his face between his knees, he breathed into his skin, hoping that nobody would hear him.
"That little bitch went this way, I know it!" A deep hoarse voice spat out through the darkness.
"How the fuck did you let him get out?" Another hoarse voice shot out in the night.
"Shut the fuck up! He musta had some oil on his arms so he slipped right through!"
"Yeah right, I think the little bitch musta overpowered you, oh so great alpha," the other voice mocked.
"Fuck off!" The original hoarse voice growled out. "Let's get em back before the dom decides I don't get my money back!"
Deidara shivered uncontrollably in the shadows when the voices and heavy footfalls got closer to where he was hiding. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, whispering and wishing that he couldn't be seen, that he could just turn into a bird and fly away.

"Fifteen, I think…" Deidara looked up and shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not really sure what day I was born, since…" His voice drifted off and he looked away from her.
"That's alright. Can I ask where you were living?"

"We can at least get some answers," Itachi responded softly.
"But what if–"
