3rd person P.O.V
On a different plane of existence a lone lombax was staring out on the horizon of a barren land shrouded in clouds. His fur was silvery white with red stripes though he looked a lot younger now and was back to the age of his early 30s though he still had the knowledge from his time living. He would occasionally get glimpses of three lombaxes two a spirit themselves and their living son back in the living world though neither knew he was watching them.
As he got up from his post a voice that had been his only company these last few years had shown himself for only the second time sense he's been here.
Alister's P.O.V
The elder zoni, Orvus had been watching Ratchet and his friends sense the great clock incident and to my surprise greeted me to commend me for correcting my mistake when I originally arrived. Orvus had offered to take me to the spiritual plane the other lombaxes were in but, the guilt I felt was so strong I had declined the offer to keep watch over Ratchet on the surface. Orvus had kept the offer open in case I changed my mind which was encouraging but, I couldn't leave Ratchet nor the spirit forms of kaden and his wife as they too were in the same plane as me however they would go between this barren land that looked like a dulled down version of Torren IV and to where the other spirit lombaxes were.
I wanted to call to them but, even in this barren place they couldn't hear me and that was what hurt the most. That and seeing Ratchet still grieving and being tormented by nightmares of me even after two years despite him finding a potential mate though both seemed nervous to make the first move.
If only I could reach out to Ratchet to let him know how proud I was of him. I knew I couldn't take back those harsh words I had said to him about him asking too many questions even though I was aware that he has likely never seen another lombax besides me and Angela. Oddly enough even here in this place I can't locate her.
If only I had one more chance to give Ratchet a parental figure despite him getting older. He deserved that and much more. As I layed back to stare at the endless galaxy above me orvus could be heard muttering to himself though I payed it no mind as I had drifted to sleep accepting that I would be here tomorrow. Unknown to me however was Orvus had thought of a plan and hoped the universe wouldn't reject it before everything became quiet once again.
