In the weeks that Catherine had spent in the city, Judy was helping her adjust to living on her own for the first time, often stopping by her sister's apartment. Judy had invited her over to game night with Nick, having three people, it would really expand the games that they could play.
The three were sitting on Judy's bed in a circle with a board game in the center. Judy rolled the dice, clattering on the cardboard as she moved her piece, taking enjoyment in the sense that she was in the lead.
Judy handed the dice to Nick who blew on the, shaking them in his paw, rolling as he moved his piece. catching up to Judy as Catherine smiled, complimenting the fox on his roll.
"Cathy, who's side are you on?" Judy teased, as the younger rabbit, took her tunning, rolling a 12.
"Mine" she replied, moving her piece in the lead as the three chuckled. Nick commented that Catherine seemed naturally lucky as she smiled.
"Can you blame me, I got my good luck charm right her, moving her right leg, pecking Nick's snout with her paw as he rubbed his nose, admiring the joke as Catherine smiled.
"Maybe if you rub it, some luck will run off on you, you wouldn't mind that Judy, Nick giving me a foot massage as the older bunny shrugged, saying it was okay, provided he rub hers later.
"Can do Carrots" Nick replied, putting his paws on Catherine's foot, gently rubbing the sole with his thumbs as she smiled, surprised by how good he was at it, Nick admitted he had an ex who liked being messaged so he picked up a few things for her before they broke up.
"Her Loss" Judy added as she watched the sight, not bothered in the slightest. Nick heard a buzzing as he pulled his phone from his pocket, he said it was personal and excused himself into the hallway to take it.
"Hey, While I'm out, you want me to get some lunch" Nick offered as Judy shook her head, saying she and Cathy would order something later. Nick left the apartment as Catherine mentioned that Judy hit the jackpot of boyfriends. which earned a chuckle.
"Most would not think that, based off his appearance but he really is a great guy. Judy listed off Nick's positive traits as Catherine blushed, looking at her sister.
"So, have you two... done it yet?" Catherine asked as Judy's face got red with embarrassment" she mentioned that she felt that was private as Catherine, blushed, asking for some juicy details as Judy tugged her collar, shaking her head reluctantly.
"We've only been together a few months and he has asked but I just can't bring myself to do 'it', I'm saving my first time for a special occasion, I'm not being selfish with that, am I? Judy asked as Catherine shrugged her shoulders.
"If you're not comfortable being a physical relationship yet, I can't fault you for that sis, but you should consider it, my first time wasn't special. just a boyfriend I had in high school, he asked if he could have me and I said yes" Catherine explained as Judy blushed.
"You're such a slut" Judy teased half-heartedly as Catherine chuckled, before defending herself, explaining that Rosaline was the slut.
I mean seriously, with how many boys she snuck into the burrow, it's a miracle Mom and Dad never caught her" Judy chuckled, reflecting on her high school years, the six girls had their bedrooms next to each other, meaning Judy often heard her younger sister having one of her boyfriends over, the litter were probably the only ones who knew but no one ever said anything.
"I Think you and Edie are the only ones of the litter who are still virgins" Catherine replied as Judy could not imagine Edith kissing a guy, let alone breeding as she was too pure and childish.
"But No, you should not force Nick into something" Catherine replied, setting beside her sister. Judy rolled the dice taking her turn as Catherine pointed out, nick wasn't there. Judy replied they would take turns moving his piece.
Nick was in the hallway, talking to his parents, one the phone with his father who was asking if Nick could stop by as something was wrong with the wi-fi and John was not the most tech savvy individual.
"Okay, it like a 20-minute drive, I can be there" He replied, he hung up and texted Judy that he would be out for a while. contradicting what she said earlier Judy asked Nick to get something since he was going out. he agreed but only on the condition that the two bunnies reimburse him later.
Nick made his way to his convertible, driving over to the tailor shop his father still operated, parking his car. he cut the engine looking at the old shop where he grew up, he had not seen his father in months, since the holidays but it would be nice. he walked into the store the bell dinging.
The was an older fox, running a broom across the floor, turning to see the fox him a hug. Nick returned his father's hug asking how the business was doing. The tailor business was seemingly doing well. in the era where discrimination wasn't as big as it used to be most animals were okay with a fox making their outfits.
"You always knew your way around a needle dad" Nick praised as John chuckled, reflecting on all the time he fixed Nick's clothes, like the one time in school when his pants tore, John had to be called to take Nick home but instead the older fox brought his sewing kit and fixed them right on the spot, safe to say Nick did not miss school that day.
"So, the Wi-Fi?" Nick asked as John handed him his phone, which was not getting any signal. Unlocking it for Nick as he checked through the setting. it was a simple fox, apparently his phone got disconnected somehow.
"You do remember the password, right?" Nick asked as John thought it over. Nick sighed, reminded him it was his birthday, putting in the code and reconnecting the phone. John thanked Nick for coming out of his way to help with this.
"You know your mom is making lasagna tonight, you're welcome to stay" John offered as Nick reluctantly shook his head, despite how good her pasta was, he promised to eat with Judy and Catherine.
John respected this as he thanked his son watching him leaving. the rest of the night was uneventful, Nick got some takeout, and returned to the apartment complex, taking the elevator up to Judy's apartment.
"I Have dinner" Nick commented, passing out the boxes to the two girls who opening them, breaking apart their chopsticks as they dug in. Nick noticed the two finished their game asking who won.
"I Won" Catherine replied, picking up a wad of noodles with carrot slices, slurping them as Nick nodded, he enjoyed having a meal with the two, a much as he wished he could have stayed at his family house and enjoyed his mom's dish, but maybe he could get some leftovers.
The Three continued eating, as Catherine asked how work was for the two. Judy went on about her police work, it wasn't exactly exciting, but she loved helping the city. Nick added that most of the day they spent in their cruiser, watching the passersby.
Between that and paperwork, being a cop isn't as glamourous as TV makes it out to be, getting into gun fights, busting crime lords" Nick joked as Catherine chuckled, a piece of noodle sticking out of her nose as Nick leaned in pulling it out, tossing it aside.
The Three finished their dinner as Catherine checked her watch, saying that it was time she should head back to her apartment as she was work tomorrow, hugging her sister goodbye and waving to Nick.
Once the younger Bunny was gone Nick looked at Judy, the takeout boxes were in the trash as Nick laid on the bed next to Judy who was texting on her phone.
"So, Nick, you still coming to this year's Carrot Days festival, it's at the end of the month" Judy explained, mentioning it was weeklong festival about farming agriculture, there would be games, rides, fair food. the thought of funnel cake and Gideon's pies make Judy's mouth water.
"Of course, I like spending time with your family, your folk are really nice" Nick commented, reflecting on the few interactions he had with them. he snuggled up to Judy, looking at her as she turned away, a bit shy about it.
"Come On Carrots, it's just a little cuddling" Nick asked, he know Judy was uncomfortable with the idea of having sex, but this was just some romantic on top of the clothes stuff. Judy agreed and let the fox cuddle her, rubbing his cheek against her as she pecked a small kiss on his cheek.
It wasn't much but Nick genuinely loved her, despite the fact she was not into sexual activity, this was enjoyable, hugging the small bunny under the covers, Nick looked at her, asking if he could squeeze her buttocks. Judy pondered on this.
"You can, but If I don't like it, you have to stop" she replied as Nick, firmly placed his paws on the grey bunny's rear, giving a gentle squeeze, feeling the firmness as he complimented her.
"Your rear is really-say cute and I will sock you" Judy retorted as Nick chuckled, explaining he was going to say 'Firm'. but with all the exercise she did it showed, explaining how he wished he could bounce on that as Judy again blushed, turning away.
"I'm in the mood for cuddling tonight Nick" Judy defended as Nick asked if it was the comment about her rear as he just kidding. Judy explained she they had work tomorrow and he should probably head back. Nick reluctantly agreed, getting off the bed, blowing a kiss to her.
"Night Judy" he replied leaving the apartment, nick walked down the hallway to his apartment in the same hall. he put his key in the lock when he realized the door was not even locked. he opened the door to an interesting sight.
Catherine was laying, belly down on his bed, kicking her feet up in the air as she smiled at Nick.
