Ben 10: Alternate Alien
Chapter 8: Christmas and New Year's
It was about three weeks later, it was Christmas Eve! It was snowing outside as the Tennyson household was nice and calm tonight.
Lumi was snuggled up in a blanket by the fire, drinking some hot cocoa as she sat with the three pets of the house.
In the corner was stall green tree with plenty of Christmas ornaments on it.
Ben and Looma were on the couch. Ben was wearing a green sweater with the Omnitrix symbol on it, while Looma was wearing a black sweater with the pattern of her armor on it. Ben had even convinced her to wear a Santa hat!
On the table nearby was a plate of chocolate chip cookies, a glass of milk, and a carrot for the reindeer.
As the two just snuggled together, Lumi had a sudden and devious idea. She found a piece of mistletoe, and flew above the two adults.
Lumi cleared her throat, making the two adults look up, and immediately seize up.
The two of them, at that very moment, realized that they had never actually kissed yet! They had been living together for a full month now, and not one kiss had been shared.
As the two looked at eachother, despite the fear and surprise, they leaned forward and seized one another's lips. To Ben, Looma tasted as sweet as honey, and as soft as silk. To Looma, she couldn't describe the taste and feeling from the kiss.
As they both separated, they both had huge dumb grins on their faces as Lumi giggled at what she had done.
Ben and Looma snuggled together for a few more minutes.
Ben then said, "alright, it's gonna be bedtime soon, so Lumi?"
Lumi looked at her dad.
Ben, "you can open one present early tonight. The rest are tomorrow."
Lumi had a huge smile on her face as she raced to the tree, looked over one of the presents that were from Ben, Looma, and others, and not, "Santa."
Looma found one that felt soft from within. She ripped it open, revealing a new hand-made plushie of an Appoplexian, with green button eyes. Lumi hugged it to her chest, thanking the person who made it for her.
Ben looked at the To/From tag, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was from Hope.
A few minutes after this, they noticed that Lumi had fallen asleep, cuddling her new plushie.
Ben, "alright, Looma, you get Lumi into bed, I'll start putting the presents under the tree."
Looma picked up Lumi carefully. As she made her way towards the little girls room, she heard, "NRG! Dangit! Flash. Echo Echo! Much better."
Looma chuckled as she went inside of Lumi's room and tucked her into bed. As she pulled the covers up, Lumi woke up for a moment, half asleep, and said, "g'night mama."
Looma was still unbelievably touched by how much Lumi saw her as a mom, even after only a month. It truly touched her. And to think, in another couple of months, she may be expecting another child to start growing within her. That had to wait until after the wedding though. Tradition said Looma and Ben couldn't make love until then.
Looma made her way back to the living room, where there were a ton of presents under the tree.
Ben, had just taken a bite out of a cookie, offering the plate to Looma.
As Looma ate a cookie, she asked, "so, how did this tradition of this sandy man with claws, giving gifts to children start?"
Ben, "first, it's not Sandy Claws, it's Santa Claus. It's a very old tradition, passed down from a man named, Saint Nicholas. He was a man who gave people gifts for nothing in return. This developed into the legend of Santa Claus, which continues for children to this day."
Looma, "very interesting."
Ben took a bite out of the carrot, and soon, he and Looma finished the cookies and milk. Once they did so, they decided to turn in for the night. So, they did their nightly routines, got into their pajamas, and snuggled in bed with one another.
….
The next morning, at about nine o'clock.
Ben and Looma were snuggled together, sleeping peacefully.
Until they felt Lumi jump on their bed yelling, "daddy! Mama! Wake up! It's Christmas!"
Ben and Looma forced themselves to get up as Lumi ran into the living room, with the pets racing after her.
They heard her yell, "Santa came!"
Looma and Ben both had smiles on their faces as Lumi began inspecting what gifts were for her.
Each of them got gifts from their friend's and family.
From Azmuth, Ben got new goggles for GreyMatter to use, Looma got a communicator that could contact the Ultimatirx and Omnitrix, and Lumi had unlocked a new alien, Wrecking Ball, her version of CanonBolt.
From Max, Ben had gotten a new pair of black and white shoes, Looma had gotten sunglasses made for Tetramands, and Lumi had gotten a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
From Gwendolyn and Kevin, Ben had gotten gifts cards for gas and Mr. Smoothies, Looma had gotten armor polish, and Lumi had gotten some new pajamas that looked like Gwendolyn's old ones.
From Rook's family, Ben had gotten a pair of metal gauntlets for HeatBlast that could withstand his heat, Looma had gotten a new satchel to gold her smaller weapons, and Lumi had gotten a toy version of the Proto-Tool.
From Helen and Attea, Ben had gotten new weapons for Bullfrag, Looma had gotten a makeup kit, and Lumi had gotten a sleek jacket for Mach5 to wear.
From Ben's parents, new sheets for all of them.
From Gwendolyn's parents, a giant batch of cookies.
From Hope, Ben received a DNA sample that gave him access to a Dragon Alien that Hope had turned into, Looma got a mug in the shape of a cauldron, and Lumi got a kids magic set.
From Manny and Swift, Ben got a special black Plumber suit for JetRay, Looma got a set of Tetramand weights, and Lumi got a new lamp that looked like HeatBlast.
From Lucy, each of them got a sculpture. Ben got one of JetRay, Looma got one of Rath, and Lumi got one of Big Chill.
From Alan and Ester, Ben and Looma got exercise clothes, and Lumi got a DVD set of Gravity Falls, the complete series.
All three of them were happy about each and every gift they received.
….
Less than a week later, it was New Year's eve. Ben and Looma were at a party being held at Plumber base. Lumi was being babysat by Attea and Helen as this was happening. She was allowed to stay up tonight for new years.
Right now, Ben was with Looma, talking to Manny and Swift. The two had begun dating near the beginning of December, and despite a rocky start, they were a nice couple.
Rook and Rayona were nearby. Rook Shar was watching Young One for the night. They had a guest over, but she had not told anyone who it was.
Gwendolyn and Kevin had shown up, and were currently talking to Ester and Alan.
As Ben and Looma mingled with the other guests, Ben's thoughts wandered as to what Lumi was doing back at home.
….
Back at home, Lumi and Attea were just…. Staring at each other.
Helen was finishing up some spaghetti and meatballs for dinner as the two were staring at one another.
Percy was curled up on top of Razor, and Kivi was watching the snow outside.
Attea had no idea why, but for the past five minutes, the little girl had just decided to start staring at her.
Attea had had enough.
Attea, "what are you staring at me?"
Lumi tilted her head, "I'm confused."
Attea, "about what?"
Lumi, "well, I see couples like my mommy and daddy, Aunt Gwen and Uncle Kevin, but then I see you and Auntie Helen."
Attea, "... what about us?"
Lumi, "I thought couples were supposed to be a man and a woman."
Attea, "w-where did you hear that?"
Lumi, "TV. Some man named Will Haruga, or something, got fired after he said that on TV. My daddy was really happy about that."
Attea, "well, uh, Lumi, a lot of couples consist of men and women, but some are the same gender. Like me and Helen are both girls, but we still really like one another."
Lumi, "you mean love?"
Attea, "yeah. And, uh, some couples consist of two men. Some people are attracted to either the same gender, the opposite, or even both."
Lumi, "oh…."
Attea, "... what are you attracted to?"
Lumi, "well, I think boys are kinda cute. But I don't see them that way yet."
Attea, "good. Never get in a relationship at this age. Wait until you're entering your teen years to even worry about that."
Lumi, "thank you for the advice Aunt Attea."
Attea was oddly flattered by her words. Lumi liked to call all of her dad's friends and family by little titles.
Auntie Helen.
Aunt Attea.
Uncle Rook.
Auntie Shar.
Uncle Kevin.
Aunt Gwendolyn.
Auntie Ester.
Uncle Alan.
Uncle Manny.
Aunt Swift.
Pa Pa Max.
Grandpa Carl.
Granny Sandra.
Grunkle Frank.
Graunt Natalie.
Auntie Hope.
Cousin Lucy.
Cursin Sunny, (like most of her family, everyone was annoyed by Sunny and her antics, hence the strange nickname).
And of course, Ben and Looma were Daddy and Mama, or Mommy.
Lumi saw everyone as family, even if they weren't.
The two of them heard Helen yell, "dinner is ready!"
Lumi turned into her natural form and flew to the kitchen as Attea followed behind her.
….
A few minutes later, every one was watching the TV as the ball was slowly going down.
Everyone was yelling, "five, four, three, two, one, Happy New Year!"
Everyone was cheering, and as this happened, each couple shared a kiss.
Ben and Looma.
Gwendolyn and Kevin.
Rook and Rayona.
Ester and Alan.
Swift and Manny.
….
Back at Ben's house, as Lumi was dancing with Percy in her arms, and the other two pets running around her, Helen and Attea shared a kiss.

Deep in Psychobos lab, Albedo was waving a small American flag as Psychobos fell asleep at his work bench.
….
Half an hour later, Ben and Looma returned home, and smiled at the sight they were greeted with.
Lumi was snuggled up on the couch with Helens and Attea on either side of her. All three of them were snoring softly.
Ben, "that's the cutest thing I've seen all night."
Looma, "agreed."
But, they had to wake up the couple, wish them goodbye, and then get Lumi to bed.
Minutes later, we find the couple laying in bed.
Before Ben was about to fall asleep, Looma asked, "Beloved?"
Ben, "yes?"
Looma, "when do you want the wedding?"
Ben, "uh, I dunno. I was thinking in April? Springtime?"
Looma, "that sounds like a wondrous idea, beloved."
Ben, "we'll need a guest list. Oh, and are there any traditions I should know about?"
Looma, "well, I was thinking we could do one of your Earth weddings? Since I will be living on Earth, I feel it appropriate to follow your customs."
Ben, "I was actually wondering about that. What the living situation would be. I'm Earth's protector, so It'd be logical for us to live here together."
Looma, "I had the same thoughts. However, if anyone objects to the union, or wishes for my hand, it is my people's most sacred tradition to fight this person."
Ben, "I gladly will. Anything else?"
Looma, "well, on our wedding night, I would like you to be gentle, since I can only imagine the wild nights you've had."
Ben, "I-I'm sorry?"
Looma, "don't play coy beloved, with you being such a well known hero, you must have had many women share your bed."
Ben, "uh, Looma…?"
Looma, "yes?"
Ben, "I'm still a virgin."
Silence
Looma, "what?"
Ben, "I've never been with a girl or woman in my life."
Looma, "what about that Kai woman?"
Ben, "I wanted to wait, she didn't, and that was one of the factors of our breakup."
Looma, "Attea?"
Ben, "harmless flirting before she and Helen met."
Looma, "Julie?"
Ben, "we were still teens, and both wanted to wait until we did something like that."
Looma, "Ester?"
Ben, "we only fooled around once or twice."
Looma, "... so…. We are both inexperienced in making love?"
Ben, "yeah. I wanted to wait until I felt I was ready. And I feel like, once we're married, I'll finally be ready."
Looma, "well, I am glad we have cleared all of this up."
Ben, "same. I think it's time we hit the hay though."
Looma, "agreed."
Ben snuggled into Looma as she wrapped her arms around him.
Ben, "good night Looma."
Looma, "good night beloved."
And with that, they drifted off to sleep once more….

williamescobar608: 1, yeah, it would be. 2, that was my thought process. 3, that was intentional. 4, that was usually the case with the Vreedles. 5, I wanted it to be a special moment. 6, they won't get that intimate until the wedding, since it's like a tradition for Looma's family. 7, he may be an evil genius, but stuff like that will slip his mind.

A Christmas chapter in August. Weird? Yes. Charming chapter? I hope so.
Since the last chapter was set in December, I continued from there. The next chapter will skip maybe a month or two. Ben and Looma's wedding will take place in September, and once they're married, is when Ben finds Psychobos and Albedo, and uncovers project KN-10.
Also, I'm thinking of who to pair Rook Shar up with. I was actually thinking of Eunice as an option. Let me know what you think of that idea in your reviews!
Eventually, when Lumi gets older later in the story, (like when she enters her teens), she will end up in a relationship. Most likely with Rook's son, who by that time will have taken their own name. One idea is that his tail will not fall off, due to some form of genetic variation.
