Eclipse moved his hand to his lightsaber. Tails glanced at Bunnie telling her to run but she instead went to the fabricator and started taking the cures. Scourge chuckled "Did you really think I wanted to go home". He looked to Eclipse "You've felt it too, haven't you? The Force is growing here. And yet only a handful know how to use it". Then back to Tails "Think what we could do" "You don't know me". Bunnie ran into the kitchen and collected all the equipment. Scourge chuckled "I saw how she trapped you. Chain you down fighting her moral mission. Taking their powers". He stared at Infinite "These aren't curses. Through power we gain victory. Through victory…". Infinite looked down at the device which only had two lights left, "Our chains are broken". Eclipse eyed him "We have to go back" "Do we? You were the only one I needed gone. Your anger is not what it was. The Dark Side is mine alone now". Scourge looked back to Tails "I know you feel the same. I see it. Struggling to have everything you want while the world tries to make you choose". Infinite only had one light left. Scourge shook his head "The powerful don't have to choose. We take" "Bunnie, run!". Bunnie ran out of the door with a bag, Infinite tore the device off his chest and shot a beam out of the palm of his hands. It went through the wall into the kitchen and then pulled back the spell book. In the distraction Scourge ignited his lightsaber and cut himself free. He used the Force to push Tails back.
Ixis watched before disappearing. Eclipse ignited his lightsaber to help Tails but Infinite got in his way. Eclipse raised his lightsaber "Move". A red glow enveloped Eclipse and he rose off the ground. He tried to struggle as Infinite moved him to the window "I liked you better before". He let out a chilling laugh and he threw Eclipse out of the window. Eclipse clasped his claws into the outside wall of the building saving himself. Moritori saw this from the ground "Up here!". He directed the cameraman "It's him. Eclipse". Eclipse leaped onto the roof of the next building and avoided the helicopter lights. Infinite blew a hole in the wall. Ixis turned into a formless cloud and quickly escaped. Infinite with the book walked out and stood on glowing constructs. He raised his arm and continued to laugh as a flash made him disappear. As everyone was looking up Gold Scourge tore through the back off the truck and ran for it "Did you see that?" Moritori said in shock. In the apartment Tails punched Scourge in the face but he threw him back through a window into a ledge. Tails took of and crashed into Scourge at full speed. Scourge grabbed his tails and used him to break through a wall into a hallway. Tails fired his arm cannon, but Scourge blocked them with his lightsaber. He sighed "Strong enough to have it all". Tails used the rhythm badge and spun but Scourge easily grabbed him with the Force and threw him into the wall "Too weak to take it". Tails got back up jumped onto Scourge's shoulders. He repeatedly punched him in the face, but the pain just made Scourge stronger, he started to laugh. Tails kept punching him, but Scourge launched him through the floor. Tails got up and started limping to a window. He broke through and grabbed into the outside of the building.
He was getting so tired he didn't know if he could fly. A helicopter shined on him and Tails saw Moritori staring up at him "Now I've got you". Before Tails could react Gold Scourge run down the building and punched Tails. He got him at the throat "I told you, there'd be consequences!" he threw him back through a window before leaving. Normal Scourge used the Force to smash Tails through the floor until they were in the lobby where Bunnie was. Scourge jumped down. A bloodied and bruised Tails tried to lunge at him but Scourge grabbed him and Tails couldn't breath "This power. You could do so much". Bunnie ran up behind them and hit Scourge across the head with a mallet. Scourge released Tail and staggered back. He glared at Bunnie "You're the one he got it from. That pathetic sickness". He stomped down on Tails' back. His robotic legs weighed down on his spine. Tails looked up and saw Bunnie standing her ground "Bunnie, go. Go" he gargled. Scourge took a device out of his jacket and pressed a button "Now, apprentice. Time for your first lesson". His Extreme Gear board flew in from outside now able to fly. Tails saw it "Bunnie, run, please". Bunnie didn't move, the board crashed through the glass and hit Bunnie in the side at high speed. It then slowly lowered, Scourge walked forward and jumped onto it. Tails got to his feet as Scourge took a thermal detonator out of his jacket "No good deed goes unpunished, apprentice. You can thank me later". He arms the detonator and throws it towards Bunnies body "NO!". Tail leaps to catch it a Scourge escapes. The bomb goes off mid-air destroying a huge part of the lobby. More explosions went off outside destroying multiple police car. Bunnie lied in the wreckage and slowly picked herself up. Tails did the same as he coughed "Bunnie?" "Miles, I'm here".
Tails clutched his stomach as Bunnie hugged him "Are you okay". The moment Tails let go Bunnie staggered back "Whoa! You okay?" "Yeah" "It's okay. We're okay, right?". Bunnie nodded "Yeah. Knocked me on my ass" "Yeah, I think he broke my ribs". He sighed "This is all my fault". Bunnie shook her head "No" "I should have let Khan send them back" "You did the right thing. They would have died. You did the right thing". Tails sighed "It's not my responsibility". Bunnie grabbed his arm "Miles, listen to me" "Bunnie-" "No, you listen. You have a gift. You have power. And with great power there must also come great responsibility". Tails remembered hearing those words once before "Yeah, I know". Bunnie started to shake "Let's get out of…". She stopped "I just need to catch my…". She suddenly collapsed; Tails caught her "What happened? Are you okay?" "I'm okay" "Yeah, you're okay". Bunnie reassuringly smiled "I just need to catch my breath" "Okay. I'm right here. You catch your breath and then we'll take you to a doctor". He petted her head but then he saw something coming from underneath her. He moved his hand and realised what it was, his glove was now soaked, and red. Bunnie saw his face "What's wrong?". Tails looked outside "Somebody? Somebody help! Please!". Bunnie started drifting away "What happened". Tails held her face "Nothing. You're okay". His lip trembled and he started to cry. He held it back as best he could "You're okay". Bunnie slowly nodded "I'm just gonna catch my…" "Yeah, I'm right here. Right here. You're okay. It's just me and you". Bunnie's face fell and she just stared out into space. Tails looked her in the eyes "Bunnie? Bunnie? Look at me, please. Bunnie". He softly shook her "What're you doing? Please, will you just wake up and talk to me? Please?". Tails didn't notice SWATs approaching the building but before they could enter a car suddenly drove in blocking the entrance, it was Antione. He looked out and saw Tails with Bunnie, his mouth fell open but he said nothing. He turned to the SWATs who had their weapons on him. He raised his arms, "Get out of the car now! Move!". One of them pulled him out of the car "Get off me! Tails! RUN!". Tails stayed with Bunnie "Oh, oh, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry". He kissed her head "I'm so sorry" "Prower, come out with your hands up! Come out or we will open fire" "RUN!" Antione yelled. The soldiers all fired "Alright, move in". They entered the lobby, but Tails was gone and they only found Bunnie's body.
Tails kneeled on a rooftop in the rain, his tears indistinguishable from the drops. On a large screen on the building opposite Moritori was making a statement "Tragedy. What else can I call it? What more needs to be said? The damage, the destruction. You saw it with your own eyes. When will people wake up and realise that everywhere the Prowl goes, chaos and calamity ensue?
