The three foxes leaped forward to face them. Tails kicked Infinite back before diving down to the bottom of the structure "Okay, guys. Ixis is first". Jun was running from Ixis inside the scaffolding "I'm gonna lead him inside the statue". Miles was leading Gold Scourge the other way "I'll meet you at the top" "Come on!" Gold Scourge yelled. Miles grabbed the crystal for Ixis but Gold Scourge grabbed him and pinned him down. He could barely breath "Hey, Scourge" "Hello, Brat". Miles saw Tails fly by "Heads up!". He threw him the crystal "I got it". Infinite managed to hit him and he dropped the crystal. Jun ran inside the bottom of the statue and then leaped up the inside supports to get to the top a Ixis was right behind "Ixis, we just need some time!". Ixis kept coming, Jun reached the top and reached through the narrow opening "Guys, I'm at the top! I need the crystal!". Ixis dragged him back down into the tornado. Miles kicked Gold Scourge back "Just wait your turn! I'll be right back". He took off again and picked up the crystal. He shot upwards and passed it to Tails who threw it inside the statue. A lightsaber came out of the cloud and cut the crystal in half releasing the shockwave. Jun dropped onto one of the platforms. He thinks it worked; he couldn't feel the Force anymore. He looked down and saw Ixis, a black horned creature lying on another platform. It stared up at Miles who nodded "It's okay, Ixis. I promise you're gonna get home. Just stay right here".
He leaped back outside, feeling the Force return to him. He joined the others as they watched Infinite "How do we stop him". Miles looked worried "I don't know. I've never seen this magic before. We just gotta get close". Miles and Tails took off drawing his fire. Jun tried to hold him with the Force but Infinite's magic was interfering with it. He blasted Tails into the statue, and he fell down to the ground. Infinite grabbed Miles. He levitated him in front of him and started hurting Miles with bolts of lightning. Gold Scourge was climbing back up the scaffolding when he heard voices "I'm trying to close it. I can't help that it's not working". He leaped up and ran towards the portal. Barby grabbed Ray "That is a Gold statue, we should go". They ran back through the class as Gold Scourge chased them. Just before he caught them Tails appeared and shot him with the arm cannon "Run!". They ran back through the portal, Gold Scourge threw Tails aside and continued his pursuit. Infinite maniacally laughed as he hurt Miles. Jun grabbed the cure and leaped forward but he froze in mid-air. The same thing happened to Miles. Eclipse appeared hovering next to Infinite, wearing shoddily crafted rocket shoes "Leave them. They're mine" "I don't require you're aid". In the blink of an eye the cure flew out of Jun's hand into Eclipse's and he pushed it onto Infinite's chest "What're you…". All the lights lit up and Infinite fell. Eclipse caught him with the Force and placed him down on the scaffolding. Gold Scourge was still chasing Ray and Barby. Ray tried to open a portal and as they turned a corner one opened releasing a tidal wave on Scourge stopping him. Barby picked up the virus cure.
Tails fought Gold Scourge "Barby!". Barby threw him the cure. As Gold Scourge leaped forward Tails opened the cannister releasing a gas that Scourge breathed in. He stumbled back and slowly he returned to normal. Barby turned to Ray "We gotta hide the box" "Okay". He tried to open another portal but before they could go through it Monkey Khan stumbled out. He gritted his teeth and glared at the two terrified teenagers "Where is he?". He grabbed the box but "No, Wait!" "Sir, before you do anything, please look. Tails' plan is working" "What plan?". Ray gestured down to Tails and Scourge "He's curing them". Khan looked down at the two of them. Tails approached the now restored Scourge "Scourge?". Scourge however was so distracted by the fact he could feel his own skin again that he didn't answer. Tails smiled "Welcome back". Khan raised his eyebrows "Well, I'll be damned". He turned to Ray "Did you just open a portal?" "Yes-Yes, sir, I did" "Hm". Khan took the staff and walked away, Ray pointed at him and grinned. Miles landed in front of the harmless Infinite "Infinite? You okay?" "Spare me your sympathy, boy. All I have to look forward to now is execution when I get back". Miles shook his head "Everyone's not like you. Sonic never wanted to kill you. You forced him. You'll go to prison and then after that is up to you". Infinite just glared at him. Eclipse was on the roof removing his already burned-out rocket shoes. He stared at them nostalgically. Jun landed next to him "You're a bit different since I last saw you". Eclipse didn't say anything. Jun sighed "You know. What you did on the Death Egg. Managed to reach even where I was". Eclipse glanced at him "Tell me, Tails only showed me what happened to me. Not others. Did I kill Amy in that Temple?" "No. She's still out there. She never lost faith in you". Shadow smiled and looked down ashamed at his hands. A portal opened and Khan walked through holding the cube.
Jun groaned "Oh, you're here too?". Tails landed "No, different Khan. This is the wizard I told you about". Khan sighed "Look, I am really impressed that you've managed to give them all a second chance, kid. But this has to end. Now" "What fun!" Scourge's voice echoed. They looked around trying to spot him. He laughed "What fun!". He flew in on his board and fired blaster bolts. Eclipse leaped in front of the others and blocked the bolts with his lightsaber. Scourge pulled the Box out of Khan's hand and flew away. Eclipse grabbed the board with the Force holding Scourge in the air. Khan threw a magical whip and pulled the box out of his hands. The three Tails spotted it at once, in the box now was a thermal detonator "KHAN, NO!". It went off destroying the box and throwing Khan back. The spell was released destroying part of the statue. Tails looked around the Chaos and saw Barby and Ray trapped on part of the scaffolding. He then saw Scourge hovering nearby about to throw a handful of detonators at them. He rushed towards Scourge and grabbed onto the board throwing Scourge off balance, but he still managed to throw the bombs. They landed in front of Barby and Ray who had nowhere to run. "NO!" Jun yelled, he leaped off his platform and landed in front of the two of them right as the bombs detonated. Jun raised his hands, and the fiery explosion suddenly went around him, Barby and Ray like water passing around a stone leaving them unharmed. As the flames went out Jun lowered his hands feeling very tired. He turned to them and touched their shoulders comfortingly "Are you okay?". They both nodded still in shock. Jun's face trembled and tears formed in his eyes. Barby noticed "Are you okay?". Jun gave a fake smirk and nodded.
