Ben 10: Alternate Alien

Chapter 18: Settling In

It was a few days later, as the Tennyson family got settled into their new home.

Ben and Looma had their own large bedroom.

Lumi and Kenny each had their own rooms.

Maxwell and Bridget would share a room until they got old enough for their own. It was close to Ben and Looma's room, so if they woke up at night, the parents can get to them quickly at night.

The place also had a big TV room, a training room, a small library, a garage, a computer room, a dining room and kitchen, and two guest rooms.

And so, we see a day in the life of this family.

Lumi and Kenny were currently sitting at the dining room table with Ben.

He was going over various subjects they needed to study for.

Math, writing and reading, etc.

Why?

Because they were starting school!

Yep, Ben was planning on having Kenny and Lumi go to school with Zane.

They would be starting a little late in year, but they would be enrolling in a new school that was built for human and alien children.

Lumi and Kenny would be starting a little late, but that's why they were doing makeup work and studying.

Ben wanted his kids to have a good education.

Better than his, since he barely passed before he did hero work full time.

Anyway, Ben was helping his kids with any trouble they had.

And where was Looma?

Well, Looma was on a quick trip to her home planet to visit her father, and introduce Maxwell and Bridget to him and the rest of their people.

Especially since Looma would one day become queen of her people, Ben would technically be King, while Maxwell and Bridget would be the heirs to the throne.

And so, with all if that exposition out of the way….

Ben, "alright, and if five plus five equals ten, five plus seven equals?"

Kenny, "uh…. Twelve?"

Ben, "good job!"

Ben pat his son's back as they continued helping him and Lumi work.

….

We skip ahead a few weeks to see Lumi, Kenny and Zane all at lunchtime.

Lumi was eating a PB and J with a homemade strawberry and orange smoothie and a small metal fork.

Kenny was eating a turkey and cheese sandwich with a strawberry kiwi Capri-Sun and some graham crackers.

Zane was eating a roast beef, salami and cheese sandwich with some Revonnahgander grown fruit and a water bottle.

All three kids were inseparable at school.

Their parents made sure they had all of their classes together.

They were true best friends.

And heck, Lumi and Zane held hands as much as they could.

Anyway, as the three of them ate, there were four other lids approaching.

"Hey, dorks!"

They looked up to see the bullies that called to them.

A larger human boy named Conner was holding the leader.

A Galvan boy named Edgar.

With him was a Lepidopterran boy, (a StinkFly), named Jerome and a tall Galvanic Mechamorph boy named Carth.

Zane, "oh, hello Edgar, Conner, Jer-"

Carth, "shaddup."

Kenny, "why do you guys like to pick on us?"

Lumi, "yeah, we save the day outside of school!"

Edgar, "yes, but without those watches of yours, you are nothing!"

Conner, "yeah. Just normal kids."

Edgar, "oh, I wouldn't go that far."

Carth, "nothing normal about 'em."

Kenny, "you better stop, or we tell the teachers."

Jerome, "that doesn't mean anything. We get in trouble all the time."

Zane, "why must you make fun of us?"

Edgar, "because. You are an insect, a test tube freak, and a mutated cat."

Lumi looked down as the insect comment.

Kenny was trying to keep himself from lunging at the bullies.

But all Zane said was, "do. Not. Make. Fun. Of. Lumi."

Carth, "or what, you wimpy cat. You gonna tickle us with that tail of yours?"

Edgar, "in fact, aren't those things supposed to fall off at some point?"

Kenny, "he's got a slight mutation. The tail ain't fall off. Don't make fun of him for it!"

Jerome, "weren't you grown in a test tube?"

Kenny, "yes."

The bullies didn't know how to respond by how blunt Kenny was with that response.

Lumi, "also, we've helped save Bellwood quite a few times! We wanna help people!"

Conner, "pfft, if I had those watches, I'd use em to get every piece of candy in Ohio."

Kenny, "well that's not what we use our powers for."

The bullies found they had little left to make fun of the trio about.

And so they simply walked away grumbling angrily.

Lumi looked to Zane and her brother and said, "thanks guys."

Kenny, "hey, we're family. We stick together."

Zane, "forever."

All three smiled at one another as they continued to eat.

….

During this, we see Looma currently on the couch with Ben.

Both looked tired as Maxwell and Bridget were asleep on the couch near them.

Ben, "jesus. These kids take a lot out of ya!"

Looma, "they have your energy Ben. It's to be expected."

Ben, "true. But they've got your fighting spirit. Bridget kept fussing over the broccoli I tried to feed her."

Looma, "it may be good for you, but it tastes like shit."

Ben, "that's an understatement."

Looma, "still, I agree. Our little warriors need to grow up big and strong."

Ben, "agreed. But it's been weeks, and our sleep schedule is outta whack. I swear, I almost fell asleep fighting Rojo and her gang the other day. Yetta managed to punch me into the wall."

Looma, "I almost fell asleep during a meeting with my father to discuss when he wanted to step down from the throne."

Ben, "when's that?"

Looma, "he has a few more years in him before he makes me queen."

Ben, "well, I'll love you regardless of what position you hold."

Looma, "I have the same sentiment Ben."

Both looked at the clock to see what time it was.

Ben, "we've gotta head to school in about two hours."

Looma, "we should set a reminder in case we fall asleep."

Ben, "agreed. BioMatrix, please set a reminder for when we've gotta head to the school and pick up the kids."

The watch responded, "affirmative."

And with that, Ben and Looma started to doze off.

….

Later, we see the kids at Recess.

As most of the other kids played on the playground, Lumi, Kenny and Zane were sitting at the edge.

Kenny was playing on a device that looked like a Game Boy Advance.

Zane and Lumi were each reading a book.

Zane was reading about a boy wizard, going to a magic school.

Lumi was reading about a boy who learned that he and a few other kids were the children of the Greek Gods, and are trying to find a stolen lightning bolt.

But Lumi marked her page with a bookmark, she heard someone yell, "he freak!"

Lumi turned and got hit in the head with a small rock.

She quickly grabbed her forehead and clutched it as she winced in pain.

Zane rose to his feet.

Zane, "who threw that rock!?"

And that's when they saw Edgar and his cronies with rocks.

Conner, "there aren't any rules on the playground!"

Kenny, "yes there are! One of them is literally; don't start fights!"

Jerome, "oh yeah? What're you gonna do about it?"

Lumi and Kenny shared a look.

They didn't wanna get in trouble with the teachers.

But these bullies were really pushing it.

They noticed Carry was about to throw a rock, but one hit him squared in the eye!

They kids turned to see who had thrown the rock.

Standing there was a girl the same age as them with grey skin, red hair in a ponytail, a yellow short-sleeved flannel and red shorts.

She said in a southern accent, "y'all better stop making fun of them, or I'll beat the snot outta ya!"

Jerome, "get lost Scalene!"

Lumi, Zane and Kenny looked at one another and said, "Scalene?"

Scalene started throwing rocks back at the bullies as they threw them at her.

Lumi, "c'mon, let's help her!"

Lumi and the others started aiding the girl with throwing rocks at the bullies.

This went on for another minute until the bell rang, meaning the kids had to head back inside.

As they did, Lumi and the others went over to Scalene.

Lumi, "um, thanks for defending us from Edgar and his droogs."

Scalene, "ain't no trouble."

Zane, "you are a Vreedle, are you not?"

Scalene, "yep."

Lumi, "who are your parents?"

Scalene, "my mama is Isosceles Right Triangle Vreedle. She used our family's cloning tech to make me, since she couldn't find herself a man."

Kenny, "kinda like me. I was cloned from my dad's DNA."

After saying that, Scalene started staring at Kenny with wistful eyes.

Kenny, "uh, what's going on?"

Zane, "I believe she has developed a crush on you after you revealed that information about yourself."

Kenny, "uh…."

Scalene, "that, and you are a cutie!"

Kenny tried to dash forward, but Scalene grabbed his arm and held onto it

Scalene, "you wanna get a smoothie Fyer school?"

Kenny, "dangit! Curse my love of smoothies!"

Little did Kenny know what he was in store for….

….

A while later, we see Ben driving Lumi and Kenny home.

Ben, "so how was school today guys?"

Lumi, "some bullied threw rocks at us."

Ben, "did you throw them back?"

Kenny, "yep."

Ben, "I'm glad you defended yourselves. Anything else?"

Lumi spoke in a sing-song voice, "Kenny's got a girlfriend!"

Kenny, "shut up Lumi!"

Ben, "really?"

Lumi, "after she helped us with the bullies, She would take her eyes off of Kenny."

Kenny, "Lumiiiiii!"

Ben, "does this little lady have a name?"

Kenny muttered a name.

Ben, "what?"

Kenny muttered a little louder.

Ben, "still couldn't white get that?"

Kenny, "Scalene Triangle Vreedle!"

Silence lasted for a few moments.

Ben, "well…. That'll be one thing for my mom to talk about when she visits Ma Vreedle."

Lumi, "that their grandkids are dating?"

Ben, "yep!"

Kenny almost died from embarrassment.

And so the family continued on their way home.

And when we see them next, they'll be a little different….

9. I wanted a reason to exist for why Vilgax was nothing but a pile of gore for later on in the story, like, when Ben's and the others are much older.

10. I…. Don't think so. I never watched Monster High as a kid, and know Jack about it. That, and I'm usually not good with those kinda crossovers. And I'm always gonna see Ben and Sam as a couple, not that there's anything wrong with all of the ghost girls, but it wouldn't work. So, sorry dude, but I'm probably not gonna make that story.

We get some time to see the kids in school before we move onto our next story arc.

What is this story arc?

You'll have to wait and see.

Although, I can tell you, it'll have a time skip by four years, so Lumi, Kenny and Zane will be 10, while Maxwell, Bridget and Devin will be around five.

And I introduced a new character. A clones daughter for Isosceles Right Triangle Vreedle. Can you guess who she'll be with?

I'm still working on plot ideas for the Ben 10 stories in the poll. The only one I have it mostly fleshed out is the Avatar one.

It's the Avatar universe, but with the Ben 10 characters replacing the Avatar ones. And the various alien species from Ben 10 exist in the four nations, along with more advanced tech in certain places.

Ben is the Avatar, and is frozen in ice for 100 years with his companion, RustBucket, a large stone creature like what CharmCaster uses.

Ben controls the elements by transforming into 4 creatures that control them. HeatBlast, WaterHazard, Terraspin and either Armadrillo or Gravittack.

When he awakens, he meets Kai and Rook of the water tribe. The group end up on a journey so Ben can master all 4 forms he uses, and to defeat the Fire Nation.

They are chased by either Alan or Kevin as the Prince of the Fire Nation, and his uncle, (either a human Vilgax or Max). Looma would replace Toph, being the same age as Ben and looking more like how she does in that flashback scene from the show. Hope would be Suki. Servantis as Ozai. Helen and Lulli would be a runaway princess of the Fire Nation and the daughter of the previous Avatar, Azmuth. Swift, Attea and Ester would replace Azula, Kai and Ty Lee. If you guys can come up with better characters to take the roles, just say so.

This story may or may not be a harem story, depending on the direction I go.
