Ben 10: Alternate Alien
Chapter 21: MushRoom Madness
It was a few days later.
The RustBucket was driving along the road as rain poured down hard.
Max had a slight frown at the weather.
Lumi and Kenny were playing Sumo Slammers Online.
Yep, they made one you could play online.
Scalene was curled up in bed, with a blanket wrapped around her.
Percy and Kivi were curled up together in the front passenger seat.
Zane was reading a book about various types of fungus.
Max, "this rain is pouring down hard right now."
Zane, "indeed it is. I cannot remember the last time I saw so much rain."
Max, "reminds me of a few times it rained like this during my trip with Ben and Gwendolyn."
Lumi, "dad told me you guys once fought evil alien mushrooms."
Max, "yep. It was one of the strangest moments of the road trip."
Kenny, "I just hope the rain stops soon."
As Max kept his gaze on the road, he saw someone waving their arm frantically, and holding someone by their shoulders.
Max quickly stopped and said, "Kenny, open the door!"
Kenny dashed to the door as Scalene woke up from Max yelling.
Kenny opened the door.
Standing there were two kids, two years younger than him. A boy and a girl. The boy had blonde hair, and the girl had brown hair. They were dressed in what looked like summer camp clothes.
The boy said, "please, we need help!"
Kenny helped them inside as Max parked the RustBucket on the side of the road.
Scalene gave the kids her blanket to warm up. The girl looked more exhausted.
Max, "what happened to you kids?"
The girl, "you wouldn't believe us if we told you."
Lumi, "try us."
The boy, "our camp is being attacked. Most of the other campers and counselors got away, but we didn't get to the buses in time."
Zane, "what exactly attacked you?"
The girl, "mushrooms."
Everyone double took.
Scalene, "I beg yer pardon?"
The boy, "mushrooms. Alien mushrooms things! Me and Sue, I'm Don by the way, were attacked by alien mushrooms!"
Max, "... deja vu."
Zane, "where is this camp of yours?"
Don, "you want to go there? Are you nuts!?"
Max, "trust us, this family has dealt with these kind of situations before."
Max went back up to the driver's seat. Don hugged Sue before he went up to the front seat to point Max in the right direction.
Lumi and Scalene sat by Sue as Zane and Kenny sat across from them.
Lumi, "I'm Lumi. And this is Scalene."
Scalene, "howdy."
Sue, "hi."
Lumi, "the two across from you are my brother Kenny and my boyfriend Zane."
Kenny, "hey."
Zane, "nice to meet you."
Sue simply nodded.
Although her gaze seemed to linger on Kenny for a moment, which made Scalene glare at the girl.
Soon, the RustBucket was outside of an old summer camp.
Max, "is this the place?"
Don, "yeah. Are you sure it was a good idea to come back?"
Max, "if there's alien activity here, we've gotta check it out."
Max parked the RV right outside the gate, parking it facing away to make it easier for them to escape.
Kenny, Lumi, Zane and Kivi all exited.
Max would stay behind with the rest of the group.
D-Ez jumped out of Lumi's Omnitrix.
Lumi, "alright, everyone stay on your toes."
The others nodded.
As they kept fighter into the camp, getting close to a large empty fire pit and several logs scattered around it, they heard a stuttering noise!
Lumi and Kenny got their watches ready.
Zane held his Proto-Tool out, Kivi green and D-Ez formed two large fists.
Then out of the bushes ran a redheaded boy.
He was yelling, "run!"
Out of the bushes came a large shitalki mushroom with rows of sharp teeth, and spindly spider legs!
And two more ran with it!
Lumi and Kenny quickly turned into, "Volcana", and, "NRDrillo!"
Volcana started shooting flames at the first one, NRDrillo charged up radiation into their drills, and began landing blows on the next creature.
The redheaded boy ran behind Zane as Kivi jumped on the last fungus alien, beginning to tear it apart!
The three fungus aliens were torn to pieces, and burning.
Zane turned to the redheaded boy and asked, "are you alright, um…."
The boy said his name, "Jake."
Volcana, "Zane, get Jake to the others at the RV. We'll deal with these toadstools."
Zane, "alright then."
Zane and off to the gate if the camp as Volcana and NRDrillo transformed into RazorTeeth and, "WildNine."
WildNine, "our noses should be able to lead us to our targets."
D-Ez, "I agree."
The two animalistic aliens started sniffing the non-burning remains of the mushroom aliens.
Both of them pointed in the same direction, leading to a large cabin covered in vines.
D-Ez, "into the cabin we go…."
The crew slowly made their way into the cabin.
It was dark and dank inside.
Vines covered the area.
And there was a huge ass tunnel in the ground.
The siblings switched back to normal as they looked down the tunnel.
Kenny, "whatever is down there, we've gotta be ready for it."
Lumi, "we gotta pick the right aliens for the job."
Lumi took her natural form, which had grown bigger as time went on, with her being the average size for a ten year old.
Kenny turned into, "JetFire."
Ice and fire.
The small group went down the tunnel, carefully making their way down.
Soon, they came to a large cavern, filled with large mushroom aliens, surrounding a large alien creature that looked like something from The Last of Us.
JetFire, "Jesus Christ!"
Lumi, "I don't think he had anything to do with that!"
The creatures all surrounded the group, growling and snarling.
They lunged at the heroes, kickstarting a furious battle!
Lumi froze every creature that made its way at her, and every time, Kivi would smash them into pieces!
D-Ez melted any fungus that got close to him into puddles of steaming goop.
JetFire used fire attacks to burn the aliens as they tried to swarm him.
The large mushroom alien had two large vines for arms that kept trying to smash the group as they made their way through the smaller aliens.
JetFire and Lumi were in the air the whole time, so it was fairly easy for them to avoid strikes from their foes.
As Kivi and D-Ez made short work of the many mushroom aliens, Lumi and JetFire began throwing attack after attack at the larger alien.
It shrieked in pain and anger as it kept trying to hit our two heroes.
As JetFire avoided a strike, he suddenly had an idea!
He quickly turned into, "NRDrillo", again, and rocketed towards the huge fungus, spinning around very fast, basically turning themselves into a large drill that hit the alien right in the head!
Lumi quickly turned into, "Crystal", doing the same was NRDrillo using sharp drill like crystal hands they formed.
Crystal hit the creature in the lower area of it's body!
Crystal and NRDrillo jumped out of the creature, seeing all of the alien mushrooms that surrounded D-Ez and Kivi collapse.
They all took a breath of relief as they saw all of the vines start to fall from the walls.
The aliens were gone!
The camp was saved!
….
Max the kids all stayed behind to witness the camp get back up and running within a day! The rain had thankfully stopped.
Don, Sue and Jake were all very grateful for the help Lumi and the gang gave them.
They were given down free snacks and drinks for their trip as they got back to their trip, leaving behind a very crazy situation….
….
Meanwhile, we check back in on Ben and Looma, who are having date night as they eat pizza. Ben made sure there were no mushrooms on it.
He and Gwendolyn still couldn't get over that time they fought mushroom aliens.
But anyway, Ben and Looma were happy to have these nights together.
While Maxwell and Bridget were having a sleepover with Devin at Kevin and Gwendolyn's house.
Looma, "so, how has it been with Rojo's gang? I haven't heard much about them in a long while."
Ben, "eh, they aren't much of a threat. Her, Turbine, Suemongousaur and Yetta aren't as dangerous as Vilgax, Albedo, etcetera."
Looma, "still, Have they been much trouble?"
Ben, "funny enough, after they heard from Rook about the events years ago with all my enemies attacking, they've been trying to stay on our goodside."
Looma couldn't help but snicker.
A lot of Ben's enemies became less of a threat as Ben got older and more powerful with his BioMatrix.
Albedo had gone into hiding.
Animo, Psychobos, Kyber, the Circus Crew, Milleous and Vulkanis were easy enough to take down.
Servantis and Captain Nemesis were put in a normal jail.
Dark Star was stuck in a magic bag by Gwendolyn and Hope.
Ben was actually relieved that things had gotten easier to take care of, so his kids could live in a more peaceful town.
….
Meanwhile, meanwhile, we see Maxwell, Bridget and Devin all sitting together.
Playing cards.
Huh?
Devin,"got any threes?"
Maxwell, "go fish."
Bridget, "hmm…. Got any twos?"
Devin, "darnit!"
Maxwell and Bridget chuckled as Devin gave his cousin a card.
A very strange, but fun look at what the younger kids are up to….
….
The mysterious figure we saw before was looking over a large computer monitor.
On the monitor were several people.
One was Ben, looking like Ben 10,000, but with a larger version of his green jacket. He was next to an older looking Looma, who had longer hair, more fierce looking armor, and various small scars over her body.
The next one looked like Ben as a teen, but with darker skin and hair, a black shirt with a white stripe, and light green jeans. And he had a purple watch on his wrist.
It was Kenny, but older.
Standing with him was an older Scalene, who looked like her mother, bit with a yellow long sleeves flannel, and longer res shorts she had a big gun in her arms.
Next was a teenage girl with long blue and brown streaked hair in a ponytail, with a dark blue jacket with a twelve in the back, black shorts and a green shirt. And in her wrist was a sleek white and blue watch.
It was an older Lumi.
And next to her was an older Zane, wearing black and blue Plumber armor, and wielding a Proto-Staff. He had short spiked hair.
And near them were D-Ez and Kivi, who looked the same.
As the figure gazed at the images, he gave a deep laugh.
He spoke, "when I get to Earth…. All of this will no longer exist…."

Nathanael Card: I figured that the formula was a way of being able to give Helen and Attea a kid. Also, I'm glad you liked the stuff with the bounty hunters and weren't bothered by two Humongousaur combos. And yes, Kenny did ask to be with Scalene. The Mysterious figure will be revealed in time.

2. I established that near the beginning of the story.
3. Well, I figured he would just be shy about it for a while, and only get more romantic as they got older.
4. He bought the ring as a gift so it would be easier for him to confess.
5. Depends on what I feel like.
6. Sorry if the formula sounded strange. I just figured it was a way to have Helen and Attea to have a kid without recycling the cloning plot for like a third time. Plus, when Ben brings it up, Eunice is still making the formula, so she's still trying to figure out how to help two women to have a kid together. With men, it just increases their fertility in their sperm, but for female couples, it would need to do something else. If you or anyone else can come up with a better way for the formula to give Attea and Helen a kid, let me know. I didn't mean to offend anyone, and it was meant to be both a joke, and a plot point.
Amanny: glad you liked the chapter, along with the OC's I added. I'm still trying to decide who the mysterious figure is. And I'm glad some people are interested in my other story ideas.

So far, we've revisited certain plotlines from the OG show. The bounty hunters, and now the mushroom creatures.
Other plotlines I plan to go back to are, the kids going to the future, them ending up in Sumo Slammers, and any other plotlines you wanna see show up.
