Ben 10: Alternate Alien
Chapter 23: Sea Monster
It was very cloudy that day.
The RustBucket had stopped in a fishing town.
Max was carrying the fishing poles for the kids.
And currently, Zane and Lumi were glaring at Kenny and Scalene for a prank they pulled.
They made the other two kids think they were a sea monster, simply by covering themselves in seaweed and standing on top of one another at night.
Scalene could make some very effective monster noises.
And so, that resulted in Lumi and Zane being pissed at their friends.
Scalene, "aw, c'mon guys, it was just a joke!"
Zane, "well it wasn't funny!"
Kenny and Scalene shared a look.
Zane's species only used contractions when they were extremely angry, or under mind control.
And it was obvious that Zane wasn't under any outside influence.
Eventually, the small party came across the fishing village.
It seemed really gloomy today.
A heavy fog and gray clouds in the sky.
Max, "you kids are gonna love this. Fishing was always one of my favorite pastimes growing up!"
Lumi, "I think we've lost count how many times you've said that grandpa."
Max, "doesn't make it any less true."
Kenny, "dad said you've been to this town before, in the summer you took him and aunt Gwendolyn on."
Max, "yep. We encountered a creature beneath the lake. No-one would believe Ben about it though. That is until the creature actually showed up."
Scalene, "they called it the Krakken, right?"
Max, "yep. Based on the old Greek myth. Luckily, as long as the creatures and its eggs aren't disturbed, there won't be a problem."
That's when they came upon a certain sight.
One large boat was in the harbor, with all of the smaller boats scattered around it.
Max, "um…. What?"
Lumi, "Grandpa, what's that big ship doing here? It looks like the other ships are having trouble fishing."
Max, "they must be searching for something big. And I'm not sure I'm gonna like the answer…."
As the group got closer to the docks, they saw an old man on a small sailing boat.
Max asked, "hey there Cap'n. What's going on around here?"
The captain, "that damned ship is a nightmare. These rich fishermen have heard about the legend of the Krakken, and wanna see if they can catch the beast. It's been making life for us all a living Hell."
Lumi, "this doesn't sound good grandpa."
Max, "no it doesn't."
Max spotted a nearby diner.
Max, "let's get inside that diner, form a plan."
Kenny, "great idea."
And with that, the group made their way into the diner, near the back where no-one was there.
They sat there for a few moments before a waitress came.
She asked, "what can I get you all?"
Max, "coffee please."
Lumi, "orange juice please."
Kenny, "I'll have an apple juice."
Zane, "I would like a glass of water."
Scalene, "lemonade."
The waitress nodded and said, "I'll be right back with your drinks."
As everyone began reading their menus, Max said, "I don't like the look of that ship. And if it's hunting for the Krakken, things could go very badly."
Zane, "j suggest Lumi and Kenny sneak aboard the ship."
Max, "good idea Zane. Meanwhile, the three of us should get more information about what's been going on."
Scalene, "easy peasy lemon squeezy!"
Soon the waitress returned with their drinks and asked what they were hungry for?
Kenny wanted chicken tenders and fries.
Lumi wanted a cheeseburger, fries, and some extra silverware.
(You can guess why).
Zane wanted tuna salad.
Scalene wanted some bacon and eggs.
And Max wanted the, "special stew."
You can only guess what the Hell it was made of.
One they finished their meals and paid for tuem, the group left to start their plan.
They went a little ways away, where Max, Zane and Scalene used their bodies to hide Lumi and Kenny as they transformed.
Lumi into her natural form; which was the same size as she was now.
And Kenny into, "GhostFly."
The two of them made themselves intangible, and flew towards the ship.
Meanwhile, Max and the others made their way around the place, ready to find any info they could about the situation.
Lumi and GhostFly had flown to the control room of the bridge, where they saw three men in dark blue shirts looking at a 3d map of the lake.
The first one, "that beast should be around here somewhere."
The second one, "if we can draw it out, we can catch it."
Lumi whispered, "these guys are nuts."
GhostFly nodded.
The third man, "we'll be setting off those charges in five minutes. That'll wake the beast up!"
GhostFly whispered, "not if we can help it!"
And so, the two aliens flew out of the room to the front of the ship.
Lumi, "and we have to warn the beast."
GhostFly, "I'm gonna call Grandpa Max, so he can inform the plumbers about this."
And with that, GhostFly flew off, leaving Lumi there.
She thought, "I've gotta warn the creature. But how can I talk to it? Wait a minute! I've got it!"
Lumi fiddled with the Omnitrix, and as she jumped into the water, she transforms into, "Angler!"
Angler began swimming through the water, using her senses to search for the Krakken.
….
Meanwhile, Kenny has informed Max about the whole thing, and thus, Max called in the Plumbers to send a team to apprehend the men hunting the Kraken.
….
Angler made their way to the deepest depths of the lake, even finding the charges and deactivating them with D-Ez's help.
And soon, she found herself face to face with the Kraken!
Angler, "um, hello?"
The Kraken lifted it's head.
It spoke in a heavenly voice only Angler could understand.
"You smell familiar. Another of your kind. He returned my eggs to me."
Angler, "that was my dad. I have come to warn you, me and my friends are dealing with a group of men who want to hunt you down. I plead with you to stay hidden, so no innocents get caught in the crossfire."
The Kraken, "very well, little one. For everyone safety, especially the safety of my eggs, I shall keep hidden."
Angler, "I thank you dear creature. Rest assured, my friends will keep you and your eggs safe."
The Kraken gave a grateful purring noise as Angler left.
Minutes later, Angler got back to the twin and turned back into Lumi.
She was glad to see a group of Plumbers show up, arresting the men who wanted to hunt the Kraken.
When all was said and done, Lumi and the others all reunited, and finally got to rent a boat for their fishing trip….
….
"Release the beast!"
We see Maxwell riding on top of Razor, running right beside Bridget, who was riding her father, who was currently transformed into WildMutt.
Looma was sitting nearby, watching the little race going on.
It was a fun family moment that Looma wouldn't trade for the world.
Right at that moment, Looma got a call.
Looma, "hello?"
Attea, "hey Looma. It's Attea."
Looma, "oh, Attea, how are you doing?"
Attea, "great! I've got news!"
Looma, "what is it?"
Attea, "well, you know how me and Helen have been trying for a kid, using that formula Eunice gave us?"
Looma, "yes?"
Attea, "well, in about nine months, you'll be saying hi to our son or daughter!"
Looma squealed in joy! Her friend was finally going to have a kid!
Soon she would be sharing the same feeling Looma did with her children.
Looma, "who's having the child?"
Attea, "me, since Helen has her plumber job, and since my Empire has been more peaceful, I'm not gonna be looking for danger."
Looma, "thank you for telling me. I am so happy for you two!"
Attea, "just wanted to let ya know. See ya later!"
Looma, "goodbye!"
As Attea hung up, Ben and the kids were walking towards her, with the kids riding Razor.
Looma, "Ben, kids, I've got exciting news!"
….
We see the menacing ship from before, drawing ever closer to Earth.
Eon continued to stare at the images of the Tennyson children and their significant others.
He spoke, "by the end of summer, I will be there. And your future will cease to exist…."
….
10 years from now
We see several people in a room together.
The first was a tall young man in a black and white shirt and green pants, with a purple Omnitrix on his wrist.
It was Kenny, now looking like just father did at twenty, with his father now being in his thirties.
The second was a young woman with long brown hair, streaked with blue in a ponytail, wearing a dark blue hoodie and grey pants, with a light blue Omnitrix on her wrist.
It was Lumi, now an adult as well.
The third was a young woman with grey skin, red pig tails, and a yellow jumpsuit, (think the suit from Kill Bill). She also now had some bug curves.
This was Scalene, who looked very much like her mother.
The fourth was a young Ravohanger man in a blue Plumber suit, with a tail wagging a bit.
This was Zane, looking very much like his father, and he still had the tail.
The fifth was a Polymorph, dark green with a metal pack on their back.
It was D-Ez, who still looked mostly the same.
The sixth was a teenage boy in a black shirt like Kevin's, blue jeans and a blue cloak with charms on it, and buts of dark magenta at the bottom.
This was Devin, who had been learning magic from his mother and Hope, while taking part in many of his father's hobbies.
And the seventh was a teenage Incursian girl with light blue skin, slightly bent legs, and a slim tail, striped with black lines.
This was Speeda, Attea and Helen's daughter, who was a mix of both her mother's DNA. And due to this, she had grown faster than normal, now being the same age as Devin.
And on top of that, she was dating Devin!
Nearby were the ten year old Maxwell and Bridget, who were watching their siblings, cousin and their significant others work.
And sitting with them was a little boy with bleached blonde hair, a dark purple hoodie and a dark blue witch hat.
This was Hope and Cooper's son, Daniel.
Kenny, "Devin, you got the spell ready?"
Devin, "yep. I'm ready. We'll be meeting you guys on the day of Grandpa Max's birthday."
Speeda, "great work honey."
Devin smiled at Speeda.
Lumi, "speaking of which, do we have a cake ready?"
Zane, "our parent wall agreed to do that while we do this."
Lumi, "that's good. We're gonna need to warn them about what's ahead. We were barely able to handle it."
Scalene, "but we did. So this'll help them. And on top of that, we already went through this, so we've gotta make sure it happens."
Kenny, "damn babe, when did you get so smart?"
Scalene, "when I started dating you."
The two smiled at one another.
Lumi, "so, we find our past selves, they help us with our little problem, and we send them back with the warning about Eon."
Kenny, "that sounds like a plan!"
And so, the small group shared a look as they prepared themselves for their mission….

Nathanael Card: I forgot about the Upgrade part, so I just went the Jumanji route, with the characters having to beat the game in order to leave.

We return to the Kraken episode!
I remembered this episode quite a bit, so I decided to use it.
I had a little trouble writing it, but I hope it turned out alright, with us simply revisiting the episode, but not much action. I've been having a bit of writers block with this and DBZ: Alternate Love.
And the next one is gonna be the future episode, where we get to see our heroes meet shut future selves!
Sorry if it's been awhile since I made a chapter for this story. And for my DBZ story. I've been working really hard on my next stories.
Along with getting started on my Avatar and Ben 10 crossover, my Bruce Timm DCAU story that's been in the works for God knows how long, and for the past couple of weeks, I've been working on my Star Wars story, retelling the sequel trilogy in a more satisfying way, and two requested stories.
I've got a lot on my plate.
