"Great Deku Tree, I'm back!" shouted Navi. "Oh, Navi, thou has returned," said the Great Deku Tree. "Welcome, Sonic the Hedgehog. I am glad thou has come."

"Really? Why?" asked Sonic. "Because I have been cursed," said the Great Deku Tree. "I need thy courage to help break this curse. Does thou have enough courage to undertake this task?"

"Yes. I think so," said Sonic.

"Then, enter, brave Sonic and Navi, help guide Sonic on his journey," said the Great Deku Tree.

"Yes, sir," said Navi as they headed inside the tree. "Wow..." they both said. Sonic and Navi were inside Pixie Hollow, where the Deku Tree's portal takes visitors to. They looked everywhere. "Where is this Deku Tree's curse?" asked Sonic. "Well," said Navi. "there are four worlds, one for each season: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The curse must be in one of the four seasons."

"Guess we'll have to search through them one by one," said Sonic. Luckily, Navi knew this place like the back of her wings because this was her home. The first place they decided to look was Spring Valley.

Spring Valley was a sweet-smelling place. It was basically a hill covered in lots of flowers. Most of the Garden Fairies lived there. They also searched Sunflower Meadow where the Light Fairies lived, but there was no sign of the curse. The next place they decided to look was Summer Glade.

It was a peaceful place with streams everywhere. Lots of water fairies lived there. They couldn't swim, but they could easily walk over the stepping stones, but there was no sign of the curse of the Deku Tree, so the next place they decided to look was the Autumn Woods.

It was a crisp, cool part of Pixie Hollow. Lots of colors everywhere and lots of animal fairies too, but there was still no sign of the curse. "We've looked everywhere," said Sonic. "Where is the curse?"

"We've searched in Spring, Summer, Autumn, but not-"

"Winter?" said a voice. Just then, an animal fairy stepped out from behind some bushes followed by a rabbit, and gave a friendly wave. "Hi, Navi. Who's your friend?"

"This is Sonic," said Navi. "The Great Deku Tree summoned him and I brought him here. He's going to get rid of the curse and save the tree, but we can't find it."

"Pixie Hollow's in danger?" gasped the animal fairy. Then she straightened herself and cleared her throat. "Sorry. Where are my manners. My name is Fawn."

"Nice to meet you," said Sonic as they shook hands. "We've looked for the curse in every season but winter."

"Then that's where you should look," said Fawn. "I saw a really scary looking bug in the Winter Woods the other day. I think they call her 'Queen Ghoma.' She's not friendly like our queen." She shuddered. "Oh, it was very scary. If you could get rid of it, Sonic, we fairies will be eternally grateful to you."

"That's why I'm here," replied Sonic. "Thanks, Fawn."

"You're welcome," said Fawn. "But, before you go, you should put on some winter clothes. It's cold over there and only winter fairies can cross the border without getting cold."

"Thanks, Fawn," said Navi. "And don't worry. We'll be careful."

"Good luck!" shouted Fawn as they parted ways. "She seems nice," said Sonic as Navi led him to Tinker Bell house in Tinkers Nook.

Tinkers Nook was always busy because the tinker fairies (like Tinker Bell) were always making and building things to deliver to the mainland on the queen's request. But there was no time for a tour. Sonic and Navi had work to do. Besides, Sonic had seen almost every season in Pixie Hollow, except Winter. Once they were at Tinker Bell's house, Navi asked her for a snowsuit for Sonic, and Tinker Bell set happily to work at once.

She made a snow vest, scarf, mitts, snow pants and earmuffs and snow boots. The snow vest, snow pants and earmuffs were green. The mitts and scarf were white and the snow boots were brown. Now Sonic was ready to go to Winter.

Navi did not need a snowsuit of course because she was a winter fairy.

At the border, they took a deep breath and crossed, ready to take on the bug and break the curse.
