Hey sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy with finals. Also I've been waiting for Multiverse of Madness to come out for any inspiration of where to take Wanda.

Chapter 5: the mistake
The arrow exploded sending Yelena flying toward John and Wanda. The next thing Kate knew there were bullets coming toward her
"What are you…" she could hear Yelena's voice before getting cut off
Kate looked back through the window to see that John had grabbed her arm and knocked the gun out of her hand, he was now pinning her down underneath him prepared to punch her, but he froze and hesitated to go through with it. A smoke grenade was suddenly launched into the hallway spraying smoke everywhere, it had to have been Barnes.
Kate nearly fell off the fire escape as all the smoke was suddenly blasted out of the apartment, there was some red aura mixed in so Wanda was obviously doing it. She took another look back to see both John and Wanda standing over Yelena, Wanda looked furious with her aura forming around her holding Yelena down. Kate opened the window and rushed to the fight. John was examining the hallway obviously trying to figure out where the smoke grenade came from, and Wanda was staring down at Yelena letting the aura build her hand. Kat finally made it and looked down at Yelena. "Kate Bishop?" Yelena said she was clearly surprised to see her.
A loud flying sound started coming from down, Sam flew down the hall and kicked Wanda to the end of the hall "Wanda" Kate yelled running to her aid
"Wilson?" John said clearly nervous
"Walker stand down, we're handling this" Wilson said trying to calm him down
Kate helped Wanda up before hearing the sound of bullets
"AHHHHH" Kate heard as she quickly turned around, apparently Yelena had a gun on her and managed to shoot Wilson's exposed ear causing him to screech in pain. Yelena quickly bolted back into her apartment
"SHE'S GETTING AWAY" Kate screamed as she and Wanda ran back to the door only to be met by a hail of gunfire. Kate thought she was dead but Wanda apparently blocked the bullets at the last minute. Yelena continued to shoot her machine gun (seriously was that just sitting on her kitchen counter) as she backed her way to the window Kate entered earlier and exited the apartment.
"SPLIT UP" Wanda said sprinting down the hallway
"NO WAIT, THAT NEVER ENDS…." she yelled but at this point both Wanda and John were too far away "well" Kate finished before running into Yelena's apartment and out the window. The fire escape ladder was off its hinges and laying on the ground, Yelena clearly didn't want to be followed.
Kate pulled back another arrow and pointed it at the streets of Madripoor, there were so many people already but now there were people coming to see what the commotion was. There was such a huge crowd that it was impossible to see Yelena.
"I'm on the ground, Kate do you have eyes on Yelena" John said through the comm
"Ugh there's so many people out here" Wanda said through the comm, Kate could see her pushing through the crowd from the fire escape
Kate lowered her arrow and took another look at the fire escape ladder. 'Wait!' Kate thought as she looked back at the hinges, Yelena couldn't have knocked the ladder down if she was on the ground. Kate looked around and started to put everything together. Yelena couldn't have made it to the ground. Kate looked up and caught a glimpse of something crawling onto the roof
"WANDA, JOHN" Kate screamed into her comm "Yelena's on the roof, I'm in pursuit" Kate said running up the fire escape steps as she turned her comm off
"Sam" Kate could hear Barnes back in the apartment. Kate paused and considered calling out to him but decided against it and ran up the fire escape. She went with their first plan and it ended with Yelena getting away, she wasn't about to make that mistake again.
Kate rushed up the steps as quick as hawk, her heart nearly pounding out of her chest. She finally made it to the roof to see Yelena sitting quietly in a lawn chair. Within the span of half a second she shot a concussive blast arrow at her knocking her out of the chair. Yelena immediately blasted her machine gun but ran out of ammo before Kate could get hit.
Yelena ran to the other side and leaped off the side onto the other fire escape. Kate ran after her "Ok Clint, I'm doing this for you" she said before leaping off the building and shooting an arrow with a cable attached to her belt at the edge. In a similar fashion to Clint she grappled toward the fire escape and kicked Yelena through a window.
They crashed into an old woman's apartment who proceeded to run out screaming. Kate took a moment to brush broken glass off her sleeves, Yelena slowly rose up "it really is a shame" she said shaking her head, Yelena went to pick up a knife off the kitchen counter "I liked you"
Yelena stood her ground and got into a fighting stance. Kate had to be smart this time, she couldn't match Yelena in strength or fighting skill. "UUGGGHHH" Yelena yelled, coming at Kate. Kate quickly dodged and pushed Yelena toward the broken window.
Yelena swung her arm back but Kate grabbed it and smashed it against the broken windowsill.
"AHUUUUHHHH" Yelena whimpered as she grasped her bleeding arm. Kate swung her left leg and kicked her into a display case. "AHHHHHHHHH" Yelena screached as she leaped toward Kate and pinned her to the ground.
Kate gasped for air with Yelena's elbow pushing on her neck, on top of that she had a knife pointing at her eye edging closer. Kate's arm grew more and more tired as she kept Yelena's knife arm away. Kate sucked in what air she could and let Yelena stab the carpet next to her head. Kate quickly kneed her in the stomach and got Yelena back on her feet, seeing her chance Kate pushed Yelena into the display case.
Kate picked her bow back up and drew an arrow from her quiver. Yelena looked up at her with hatful eyes "are you gonna kill me, like your buddy Barton killed my sister" Yelena tried to get up but collapsed back to the ground "officially a Hawkeye"
Any doubt Kate had was lost for a second, she breathed heavily while pulling back her arrow.
