Aw thanks lol, I'm still improving everyday haha. Oh yeah, things probably wont feel the same if they live together—though for Jason first and foremost before Bruce I bet lol. Thanks as always for reviewing!

Chapter 7
It was the day of Jason's graduation, and Dick couldn't have been prouder. He felt like a proud parent of their accomplished son, especially having so many prior doubts that the teen would even graduate in the first place. Dick never doubted Jason's intelligence, but more so his interest and willingness to cooperate with the system. The teen had also already chosen a nearby college to enroll into after the summer break. Dick made sure he was dressed properly today, with a solid white shirt, black tie, black pants and hair somewhat nicely combed… Jason wouldn't allow him near his hair for the most part. It wasn't much but they brought flowers for him and sat through the entire ceremony.
After the event, they walked outside to the front lawn of the school and took pictures. Jason soon received a text message and he stepped away to read it. Jason's eyes widened. It was from Bruce.
On the backside, across the street.
The message read. And the teen immediately excused himself from his brothers and Roy, saying he'd be right back as he exited the gates to round the corner near the backdoor of the school. He automatically recognized a black limo with tinted windows parked across the street. Bruce.
Jason approached the car and when he was close enough the windows rolled down and the doors unlocked. The teen hopped in the backseat, closing the door after him. He met eyes with Bruce, who was sitting cross armed, waiting patiently for him. "Bruce. What are you doing here?" The teen was still speechless.
"It's your graduation Master Jason." Alfred said from the front seat.
"Oh hey Alfred."
"Congratulations Jason. You've come a long way."
"Congratulations from me as well. You look stunning today, we should celebrate later." The butler said.
"Thanks guys. I'm just glad to be over with it already. Screw school." Jason threw himself back.
"Alfred is right, you are probably celebrating with your family right now, but drop by the manor tonight so we can share this special moment with you as well. We may or may not have something planned."
Jason felt his heart thump at that once. He was touched. "No way, I don't believe it." The teen tried to hide the bashfulness in his voice. Bruce was taking the time out of his busy schedule to not only come see him but actually plan something for him.
"Don't worry it's not much, you'll be disappointed." The elder reassured, closing his eyes.
"What?! Like hell I could!"
"So I take it that you'll be coming?"
"Yeah sure, I'll be there. But I'm gonna go back now before they think I disappeared." Jason leaped out of the car. "I can't wait!" He called out, shutting the door and looking both ways before crossing the street.
"Nice to be high-spirited."
"Hmph, you're telling me." Bruce scoffed fondly. He was also proud of the younger.
Later that evening, Jason made it to the Wayne manor and was hit with delicious smells as soon as he entered.
"So glad you can make it Master Jason." Alfred greeted him.
"Yeah…what's up? Something smells really good."
"I'm sure it does. I've prepared all your favorites today from spicy to desserts. Per Master Bruce's request." The butler whispered the last part with a hand over the side of his face as if he didn't want Bruce to hear. Jason swallowed thickly at that. He could hear his heart again and it was unusual, unsettling—he wasn't used to it.
"Jason, you're here." Bruce was still dressed nicely in his suit. He probably came home from work late.
"Yeah, you just got back?"
"Mh…a while ago. Anyhow, congratulations again on your graduation."
"T-thanks…"
"Alfred was busy all afternoon, so be sure to enjoy the food." Bruce pointed out.
"Heh, you joining me?" Jason was already walking towards the dining room, and Bruce didn't need to answer as he followed.
The food was exceptional, it was a whole buffet and Jason took forever eating every last bit of it. Of course even after all that eating, he still had so much food leftover and Bruce wasn't helping at all. In the end he had to take a break from eating and smashed on the living room couch.
"Ughhh I'm so stuffed—I never thought I'd say that, ever." Jason always appreciated food and with the way they grew up in Gotham—there was no such thing as too much food. But he was willing to change his opinion.
"Is that a bad thing?" He heard Bruce say as he joined him on the second couch.
"Not at all~ But my stomach might explode."
Bruce didn't say anything in response to that and instead reached for under the living room table to pull out a small present, wrapped in a ribbon. Bruce wordlessly handed it to him, who looked perplexed. "What's this? For me?"
"That's right. A celebratory gift."
"W-what? You really didn't have to…" Despite his words, the teen's hands were restless to open it up.
"Go on. You look eager."
The ravenette ripped through the wrapping and uncovered a rectangular box, lifting open the cover. "A watch…" Jason took it out and began surveying it back and forth. It looked real. Real extravagant.
"It's only a small present."
"Small? My ass—it looks expensive! I cant take this? When and how do you expect me to wear this?" Jason was still staring at it with wide eyes.
"Whenever the occasion may arise. You won't be a high school teen forever."
"Correction, I'm not a high schooler anymore. Just graduated today, remember?"
"Exactly." Bruce said. "So accept it."
"Fine…I accept, just this once. Don't make it a habit though, 'cause I really don't know what to do with something this expensive. I can't tell whether to use it or shelter it." The teen honestly confessed, evoking a scoff from the other.
"Please use it."
"We'll see. But, um, thanks a lot. I'm gonna have to hide this from Dick."
"Is that so?"
"Master Bruce, your tea." Alfred entered the living room to place a tray of black tea on the table and left once his purpose was complete.
"Thanks Alfred." The elder hoisted the cup and blew on it before taking a sip. "So have you already applied to colleges?"
"Yeah, more like had to, Dick didn't give me an option."
"Colleges are private." Bruce stated in a matter of fact way.
"Uh, duh, I know that."
"How do you plan on paying for tuition?'
"…" Jason paused for a second, picking up on something else. "What are you trying to say Bruce?" There was no way Bruce would be asking so many questions just for fun.
"…I'd like to pay for your tuition."
"The fxck?! No!" Jason stood up at that. There was no way in hell he would be that indebted to anyone.
"Jason. Your brother has a family to feed, college isn't inexpensive and you alone won't be able to work hard enough to provide the entire fee. Let me help you."
"No. I'll figure it out. I'm not taking any more money from you."
Bruce frowned at that. "I've never offered you money before. You're my ward, I want to support you."
"Bruce, you're not paying for my college. I'm gonna find a job if I have to."
"So you plan to attend classes, work and be robin?"
"If that's what it takes…"
Bruce shook his head and continued to sip his tea, deciding to leave it at that.
A few days went by and Bruce hadn't heard from the teen at all. Jason did stop by the manor once and help him organize company files because there was nothing better to do and Bruce was always busy these days. Instead of sitting around idly, the teen was more than happy to help. Other than that, they were also taking a small break from patrolling the city since Bruce had been occupied with company tasks and events and Jason was enjoying the beginning of his summer break.
When Bruce finally assigned and completed the most relevant Wayne Enterprise tasks for the day, he was able to take a break early and took out his phone.
Whether you decide to stay as Robin or not, at least let me pay for your tuition.
He texted the teen, as he stood by the glass wall on his high company office. Barely a minute passed by and his phone buzzed from a response text from Jason.
I already said NO
Bruce expected as much. So, he typed back:
Why not? You lose nothing. It's a great business deal.
J: What is this? Life lessons 101?
J: I already said no. U've helped me a ton already—this isn't yr problem.
J: And yr so damn excessive. I just found out that watch u gifted me for graduation is prob enough to pay off my tuition.
Well, Bruce was guilty of the latter. He eyed the clock, he still had some time before his next meeting. The elder phoned his butler. "Alfred, get the car ready."
Bruce found himself in front of Jason's apartment. He was aware the teen was at home. And while showing up uninvited wasn't his thing, he had made up his mind to visit Jason's family at one point and he knew the teen would be against it if he asked.
The billionaire ringed the doorbell and to his luck, Jason was the one to open the door. The teen was face to face with his suited chest before he glanced up and as soon as their eyes met, the teen paled.
"Bruce!" Jason gasped in a loud whisper, trying not to alarm anyone inside. "What are you doing here!?"
"Nice to see you too Jason. Thank you for your help that day."
Jason glimpsed inside the apartment once to make sure no one was coming their way. "You could've just thanked me over the phone."
"You won't invite me in?"
"Hell no! Do you know who you are?!" Bruce's eyes narrowed at him.
"Jay who is it?" Dick's sudden voice startled him as it approached the door.
"Er, no one!" However Dick was already at the foyer and made eye contact with the billionaire.
"Wait, Bru—Mr. Bruce Wayne?! What brings you here?!" his elder brother had the door wide open now. Jason face palmed in the background while Dick's eyes sparkled.
"A pleasure to meet you." Bruce extended a hand and Dick instantly shook it.
"Oh my God, I can't believe it—please come in! The pleasure is mine. Richard Grayson." Dick led him inside without a second thought. "How can we help? Oh, I apologize for how unsightly the apartment is, we're all guys so you'll find half the flat on the floor." He nervously laughed as he kicked a few things out of the way and guided him to the living room couch. "Please have a seat."
"Thank you." Bruce flashed his business smile and Jason only rolled his eyes as he took a seat on the small armchair next to the couch with his feet up, unhappy.
"What brings you here though? Please don't tell me Jason did something or offended you in any way."
"What?" The teen glared at his brother incredulously at that. Why would he think that? Well, then again, he did try to steal Batman's tires once…so it wasn't out of the question…
"No, on the contrary. I'm here to thank Jason for helping me out." Bruce was simply using that small favor as an excuse, but Dick looked like he wanted to hear more. "It's a long story but I merely wanted to give my regards."
"Wow, I'm…speechless," Dick mouthed. "Oh! How silly of me! Let me get you something to drink. I was brewing some coffee when you walked in—would you like some?"
"No it's alright, no need to trouble yourself, I'm on break and will be heading back to the company soon."
'Oh my God, he's such a charm in real life too~' Dick's eyes were basically an open book, casting his inner thoughts and fanboy. "You're even more elegant in real life."
"Great, he's fawning over you." Jason tutted.
"Jay!" Dick shot him a humiliated glare.
"Where's little Tim?" The teen asked instead.
"He's in the bedroom, actually you wanna call him, I have to turn the stove off real quick." The elder brother went to the kitchen.
"Yo Timmy!" Jason called out from his spot. "Come out here!"
"You have a younger brother?" Bruce asked.
"Yeah, one older, one younger."
"You never mentioned that before." Bruce assumed they were both older. It also made him realize Jason didn't talk much about himself. At least, they had that in common.
Tim came out of the bedroom, and immediately greeted the other respectfully. "Hello, my name is Timothy, Tim, for short. It's nice to meet you." Right off the bat, Bruce could tell he was a well mannered timid teen, not expressing too many emotions at first glance, but eyes observant and steady.
Bruce nodded in acknowledgement and Tim sat on the other side of the room, not entirely interested in whatever that was going on.
"So, was there… anything else we could help you with…?" Dick returned to the living room and sat back down.
"Yes," Bruce breathed out. "I heard Jason was starting college soon and as to repay him, I insist on paying for his college fee."
"What?!" Both Dick and Jason exclaimed in unison, heads fully turning to him.
"You're joking? Right?" Dick hadn't blink once since Bruce made that suggestion.
Jason was also sitting up properly now. "Ughh I hate you." The teen groaned and wanted to smack his face against something. 'I see what's going on? He was trying to use his family against him to get his way. Oh he thinks he's so sly.' "I can't believe it." He spat. 'He's so overbearing and controlling!'
"Jason!" Dick scolded with an unhappy tone, indicating he was being awfully rude to, not only their special guest but also one of the most powerful beings in Gotham.
"What? We don't need his money!"
"Jaybird. You've been disrespectful enough—apologize!" Dick had enough of his moody attitude and pinched the other's ear yanking on it.
"Hey—back off—" the teen squirmed in his hold while Bruce watched their interaction. He found it endearing, adorable, but at the same time, slightly vexing, by the way Dick was handling him. The elder's hands moved on their own as he gently tapped Dick's wrist, who looked up at him in question. Bruce's expression was unreadable and distant but not intimidating. Dick retracted his hand wordlessly, taken aback.
"Please, it would mean a lot to me. It's the least I can do." Bruce stood straight again and glanced at his watch once.
"No." Jason persisted.
"Mr. Wayne I know that amount is nothing to you but we would be too indebted to accept…" Dick reasoned.
"If it makes you feel better Jason can do an internship at my agency or something. Please think it over. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to be on my way." Bruce said. "Here's my business card." He politely handed it to the other. "It was nice meeting you again, Mr. Grayson. You've done very well raising him, and Tim."
That brought a sad but appreciative smile on Dick's face. "Thank you so much." And with that he led him out.
Jason watched them leave, Bruce sending him one last smug look before he turned away. The teen shook his head and rolled his eyes away in disbelief that this was even happening.
As soon as the door closed, Dick's loud voice reverberated through the apartment and Jason was waiting for it to hit. "Are you out of your mind?!" He cried out. "You're lucky he's so lenient! He was ready to totally fund your education!"
"He'll get over it." Jason muttered.
"Jason please don't ruin the impression Bruce Wayne has of you. Do you hate him or something? You don't even know him!" Dick posed. "Look if this is about him being rich and carelessly offering his money up—"
"It's not that. I mean, maybe, a little, but I just think he should mind his own business."
"He just wants to help. He runs charity programs all the time. This won't be any different to him. You should feel privileged. I think he really just wants to thank you. You should think about accepting it!"
'Looks like Bruce's charm was successful on him.' That just annoyed the teen even further. 'He's thinks he's such a smooth talker.' Jason was going to give him a piece of his mind when he saw him.
To Be Continued…
Bruce is in trouble hahaha.
