Author's Note: I am uploading two chapters today for the sole reason to let everyone know that I made a booboo this morning. When I began uploading the rewrite to this story I wound up accidentally uploading a chapter from Wonderland: Dawn of the Old Republic into Chapter 1 of this story. I have since fixed that. It surprises me that no one actually reviewed or messaged me of that goof.
Chapter 7: Wendigo Part 2
Halliwell Manor
Piper ran down the stairs as she heard the doorbell ring. She pulled open the door and found Dawn on the threshold. "Master Skywalker." She greeted, remembering how Dawn was a stickler on the whole being called a Master even by her own family. She pulled the door farther open, silently inviting Dawn inside.
"You can call me Dawn." Dawn replied, stepping inside the house and turning to face Piper. "I'm not here as a Master, but as a concerned cousin. Buffy told me what happened. I wanted to stop by and see how you were doing."
Piper nodded in understanding. "I feel great," She assured her cousin.
Dawn's eyes landed on Piper's arm as she closed the front door. "Did you take Buffy's advice about seeing a med droid on the Mon Cal cruiser?" Dawn asked quizzically.
"Why do you ask?" Piper wondered.
"Because your wound is healed."
Piper looked down at her arm nervously, lost for words. "Uh…" She began but trailed off as she turned into a Wendigo. Before Dawn could react, she grabbed Dawn and threw a hand back, ready to strike.

Piper suddenly shot awake, nearly jumping off the couch where she had been sleeping. She threw the blanket off, breathing hard and wiped a hand across her sweaty forehead.
"Piper?" Kayda called gently, trying not to surprise her cousin. She was standing in the doorway to the Conservatory with a worried look on her face.
Piper jumped slightly despite Kayda's attempt at not scaring her. "Oh, Kayda…"
"Are you alright? You were thrashing around and muttering just now… bad dream? Or should I call Aunt Buffy?"
"No, I'm fine," Piper lied, slowly standing up from the couch. The doorbell caught their attention as it rang loudly through the house. She moved to the door. "Who is it?" She called through the door.
"It's Dawn." The person answered.
"Master Skywalker, go away," Piper ordered. "Please, for your own safety."
"Piper, is Buffy there?"
Piper glanced at Kayda who nodded. "Yes," she answered as she reluctantly opened the door.
Dawn stepped across the threshold. "Hello, Kayda," she said spotting her daughter.
"Hi, mom," answered Kayda as she moved toward her mother and embraced her.
"Where is Buffy, it's important?" Dawn asked when Kayda had stepped back.
"I'll get her," said Kayda as she walked out of the room, within moments she returned with Buffy, who was carrying a bowl of soup.
"Here you go, Piper," Buffy said as she sat the bowl down. Piper nodded appreciatively as she sat at the table. She turned and looked at her sister. "What is it, Dawn?"
"I was meditating and received a Force vision," Dawn explained. "I had …" She glanced at Piper. "…you know who orb me here."
"What did you see?" Buffy asked suddenly worried. If Dawn had Leo orb her here that meant it had to be something major.
"Piper, transforming into a werewolf or similar creature," answered Dawn.
"I … I think M-Master Skywalker is right," Piper said with a sigh. "Before Master Skywalker knocked on the door, I was asleep." She looked at Kayda and sighed. "The bad dream, that you asked me about, Kayda. I lied when I said I was fine." She looked back at Buffy and Dawn. "In my dream Master Skywalker knocked on the door and when I opened it, I turned into the Wendigo and attacked her."
Just then another knock came at the door and Piper moved to open it. As Dawn was already there she opened the door to find Agent Fallon on the front steps.
"Hello," Agent Fallon said confused on who Dawn was.
"You must be Agent Fallon," Buffy said as she moved beside her sister. "I'm Grandmaster Buffy Naberrie of the Jedi Order and this is my sister Jedi Master Dawn Skywalker."
"I have a quick question," Agent Fallon said. "If you don't mind."
"No, go on ahead," Buffy said.
"Have you in your investigation identified the creature that attacked Padawan Halliwell and Padawan Skywalker?"
"Actually, we have," Buffy said remembering that she had yet to fax Andy. "It is called a Wendigo and that it attacks, much like a werewolf, during the full moon. And like a werewolf it transforms into a normal human during the day."
Agent Fallon's eyes flickered nervously. "Really? That's new. Do you have any idea who it might be?"
From where Kayda stood she looked at Agent Fallon and frowned. She could feel that something was off with the woman, but she couldn't tell what."
Buffy shook her head. "None so far."
"That's too bad," Agent Fallon said as Piper came up beside Buffy and Dawn. "How's the arm?"
Piper looked down at her arm and shrugged. "It's fine… well hurts like hell," she admitted.
"May I?" Agent Fallon wondered, reaching out for Piper's injured arm.
Piper glanced at Buffy and Dawn, both of whom nodded. She held her arm out as Agent Fallon looked over the bandaged area.
"You're the only ones to survive the attacks," said Agent Fallon. "Hope you didn't get infected by it." She looked at Buffy. "If there is any more information you come across, call me directly." She ordered, passing her business card to Buffy.
Buffy smiled as she took it and then grabbed her purse from the table by the door. She reached in and pulled out her own business car. "You do the same," she said as she handed her business card to Agent Fallon.
Agent turned around and left for her car as Dawn closed the door behind her.
"Aunt Buffy, Mom," said Kayda noticing that Piper was noticeably shaking.
Dawn and Buffy turned to look at Piper. "Piper," Dawn said a worried tone added to her voice. They watched as Piper removed the bandage off her arm, to reveal a huge patch of hair had grown in underneath it.
Buffy reached into her purse and pulled out her comlink. "We're getting you up to the Mon Cal cruiser, immediately," she said before speaking into the comlink. "Grandmaster Naberrie to the Mon Calamari cruiser, New Hope. I am bringing up Padawan Piper Halliwell, I want a quarantine area set aside and medical droids waiting. I want the area cleared of personnel from the shuttle bay to the medical bay once we've landed."
"Understood Master Naberrie," came Admiral Ackbar's voice from the comlink.
Buffy turned to her sister. "Dawn, their Book is in the kitchen. Look through it. Find a way to kill this Wendigo. And find a way to cure, Piper."
"I'm on it," Dawn replied as she followed Kayda toward the kitchen.
"And call Prue and Phoebe," Buffy called after her sister and niece.
Golden Gate Park
Agent Fallon led the way through the park toward where the attacks had been occurring. She glanced back at Andy slyly. "I sure hope Piper's going to be okay. She didn't look very well when I saw her just a little bit ago," she commented, stopping in the middle of a bridge and looking out at the scenery.
"I suspected that might be the case," Andy said before pushing his concern to the back of his mind. He needed to stay focused, for Piper in particular. "Piper, Padawan Skywalker, and the first victim were attacked by the far end of those trees." He remarked, pointing in the corresponding direction.
Agent Fallon followed Andy's gaze. "Must have hidden in that stretch of woods waiting to attack. Want to get a closer look?" she suggested.
Andy nodded. "Absolutely."
Agent Fallon reached in her pocket and pulled her phone out, turning it off. "You better turn your cell phone off too. Wouldn't want it to ring and scare it away," she pointed out, watching as Andy silently agreed and turned his cell off as well. She looked around her curiously. "This is a nice spot. How'd you find this place? You and Piper's sister spend some time here?"
"No, I tended to run more to the highbrow." They turned and saw Prue standing behind them. "There was a development. Piper has gotten worse, Master Naberrie took her up to the Mon Calamari cruiser. Phoebe went back to the house to help Master Skywalker and Kayda find a way to kill the creature."
"I'm sure Piper will be fine, Prue," Andy said comfortingly.
Prue smiled at her former boyfriend and nodded her thanks for the support. "I'm sure, too," she said.
Agent Fallon frowned, she needed Prue gone if she intended to do what had to be done. "Maybe we should split up. Padawan Halliwell, maybe you can take the other side of the clearing? While Inspector Trudeau and I keep watch on this side?"
"Alright," Prue agreed as she turned in the direction that Fallon had indicated. As she reached into the Force she realized she couldn't get a clear read on Agent Fallon but she got the feeling that something was not right. When Andy and Agent Fallon were out of sight she turned and headed into the woods back toward the duo.
Mon Calamari Cruiser – New Hope
Piper lay on the medical bed sweating and shaking.
"There is an infection," the medical droid told Buffy. "It is of an unknown type. Given what the Jedi Order has added to the databanks for the planet below. It is possible this infection is supernatural in origin."
"Despite, the fact that being a droid, you don't believe in magic. What is the probability the infection being supernatural in origin?" Buffy asked already knowing the answer.
"If it were a normal infection, standard antiviral treatments would have worked coupled with a bacta patch for the wound itself. Standard antiviral treatments have failed and more aggressive medical techniques have failed also. Therefor the probability of being of supernatural origin is near one hundred percent."
Buffy let out a sigh. "Thank you," she said. "Keep me apprised."
The medical droid nodded as Buffy stepped out into the corridor. "Leo!" she called out.
Leo orbed in a few feet from Buffy. "Buffy, what is it?"
Buffy motioned toward the window that looked into the quarantine area of the medical bay. "Piper has been infected by a Wendigo. You said you can heal, right?"
Leo nodded and sighed. "I can, but this kind of healing is beyond me. Piper is turning into a demon. To turn Piper back, the one that infected her must be vanquished."
Halliwell Manor
Kayda, Phoebe and Dawn looked through the Book of Shadows.
Phoebe's eyes flickered to land on the business card Agent Fallon had given Buffy. She reached out to take it and was thrown into a premonition.
Agent Fallon turned into the Wendigo and approached Andy. Andy, busy looking around the park, doesn't notice the Wendigo until it's too late. Then after ripping out Andy's heart the Wendigo turned on Prue.
The premonition ended and she found herself being steadied by Kayda.
"What did you see?" Dawn asked noting Phoebe's reaction and was sure that Phoebe had just received a Force vision.
Phoebe took a steadying breath. "I just saw who the Wendigo is. Agent Fallon," she explained, holding the business card up.
"Her?" Dawn asked as she looked back at the book. "The entry in here says it was male."
"Apparently whoever wrote that entry was wrong," answered Phoebe. "And even worse, I saw her, Andy and Prue at the park at night, just the three of them. She kills Andy first, rips his heart out. And then turns on Prue."
"Okay," Dawn said as she pulled out her cell phone and dialed.
"Prue Halliwell."
"Prue," Dawn said speaking into the phone. "The Wendigo is Agent Fallon. Phoebe had a premonition of her killing Inspector Trudeau and then turning on you."
"I knew something felt wrong. What do you want me to do?"
"Get Inspector Trudeau out of there. I'll call you when we know how to vanquish her," Dawn said before hanging up. She turned back to the Book and looked over the Wendigo page. Her eyes landed on a phrase at the bottom of the page. "'c.f. desiderata?"
"What does that mean?" Kayda asked confused.
Dawn smiled at her daughter. "It's Latin for look up things that are yearned for," she said as she flipped through the book to another page. "All right, unbecoming a Wendigo. So, we have to kill the Wendigo that slashed Piper by melting its heart of ice." She pulled out her comlink and contacted Buffy filling her in and then pulled out her cell phone and dialed. "Aurora, sweetie, I need you at the manor. You are cleared to teleport."
A minute later Aurora appeared in a flash of green. "Mom," she said as she hugged Dawn.
"Phoebe, call Prue and fill her in. Tell her Aurora and I will be there momentarily," Dawn said when her daughter had released her.
"How are you going to melt her heart?" Phoebe wondered.
Dawn smiled as she unclipped her lightsaber from her belt and hit the activator switch as the silver blade sprang forth. "How's this?" she asked. She looked to her daughter. "Take us to Prue."
Aurora nodded and in a flash of green she and Dawn were gone, leaving Phoebe alone in the attic quickly calling Prue.
Mon Calamari Cruise – New Hope
Piper shook continually on the bed. Her eyes flickered to the window that looked out into space and saw the moon. Her eyes focused on the moon. It had captured her attention completely. She felt the power begin to rise within. A part of her whispered to her to fight it, but the power was compelling and that little voice was quickly overwhelmed. She screamed in ecstasy and she closed her eyes, reveling in her new power. When Piper opened her eyes, they had changed to a bright yellow instead of her light brown. Moments later her body grew as she allowed herself to change into the Wendigo, her clothes ripping off her body.
"Fire to stun," Buffy ordered as the guards fired their weapons and the Wendigo slid to the floor and into unconsciousness.
Golden Gate Park
Prue hung up her phone as she watched Andy and Agent Fallon. She had been just about get Andy out of there when Phoebe had called. She waited only a moment and then Aurora and Dawn appeared in a flash of green.
"Why is he still with her?" Dawn asked Prue when she noticed that Andy and Agent Fallon were together.
"I was about to get him out when Phoebe called, Master Skywalker," Prue replied. "I decided to wait till you arrived."

Agent Fallon slowly paced back and forth behind Andy, watching him with eyes narrowed in calculation. "Andy, doing okay?" she asked as he scoured the area for any sign of the killer.
Andy unbuttoned his jacket slightly to let more of the cool air in. "A little on edge," he answered. The adrenaline was pumping as the expected attack drew nearer. He knew it would happen. He could almost feel it.
Agent Fallon glanced down at her arm which she allowed to change into the arm of the Wendigo. She had enough control of her power to resist the call until she was ready. "Instinct of the hunt," she spoke up suddenly. "That's why you're here. That's why you're a cop."
Andy turned to face her with a short laugh. "Does this turn you on or something, Agent Fallon?" He wondered with a roll of his eyes.
"Or something," she allowed cryptically. Agent Fallon took another step closer to Andy significantly closing the distance between them.
Andy refrained from rolling his eyes, his hand moving up next to her face, but never touching her. "Look, you're a gorgeous woman…" he admitted, but quickly turned away from her. "…but while we're on this job together, let's just leave it at that." He decided, walking back to watch where the creature had attacked previously. Andy reached down to grab his gun from his belt determined to be ready.
"Let's not." Agent Fallon disagreed, slipping her jacket to the ground. She gave into her power and in moments the Wendigo stood in her place.
Andy heard the ripping of her clothes behind him and he spun around, his gun pointed at the Wendigo. He fired several shots successively, but they did nothing to slow her down. He heard the snapping of a twig to his side and watched as Dawn leapt out of the bushes, her lightsaber activated its silver blade shining. She drove the blade into the creature's heart. The Wendigo screamed in agony, slowly transforming back into a human and disappearing.
Mon Calamari Cruise – New Hope
Piper turned back into herself as she regained consciousness. She glanced down in confusion and embarrassment flooded through her as she realized she was naked. She bit her lip slightly and dashed behind a nearby privacy screen.
"Piper?" said Buffy.
"Why am I naked?" asked Piper as she poked her head around the screen.
"You transformed into a Wendigo, which caused you to rip out of your clothes," answered Buffy as she held out a hospital gown. "Here, put this on."
Piper grabbed the gown from Buffy, silently thanking her cousin.
Golden Gate Park
"Andy," Prue said as she raced over to Andy. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Andy said as he looked at where the Wendigo had been. "I never would have guessed it was her. It was a perfect cover though. Be the creature, and pretend to be the hunter chasing it."
"Yes," Dawn said as she moved beside them. "I'm Jedi Master Dawn Skywalker. I'm Buffy's sister and Prue, Piper and Phoebe's cousin." She looked at Prue for a moment and she decided at least for her family she would follow Buffy's lead and relax the need to call her master, after all neither Aurora or Kayda referred to her as master and neither did her nieces or her nephew.
"It is a pleasure to meet you," Andy said as he held out his hand and Dawn shook it.
Quake – Next Evening
Piper moved from the bar and placed six drinks in front of each member of her family. "On the house, for saving my hide," she explained, slipping into the seat next to Buffy.
Phoebe laughed cheerfully and reached for the drink. "Literally, you Wendigo, you," she teased lightly.
"Are you okay to work?" Buffy asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, it's like nothing ever happened," answered Piper.
"Well one thing happened," Dawn said as they all looked at her. "We know now that a lightsaber can vanquish not only vampires, by way of decapitating them, but also at least one kind of demon without a spell."
"So when do we get to build our own?" Phoebe asked.
"Soon," Buffy said. "If this taught me one thing. We can't afford to wait. That said I have to try and decide when the right time is."
"Before you do that though," said Dawn. "I have made a decision. Prue, Piper, Phoebe, you are mine and Buffy's cousins, though we are distantly related as you well know. With you three and the rest of our family. There will be no more master. I'm simply Dawn, I am following Buffy's example. I am not going to make someone I care for and love call me master."
"To family," said Prue as she raised her drink in a toast.
"To family," everyone echoed.
Author's Note from 2015: I am debating whether or not to drop the Thrawn Trilogy adaption in Thrawn in Wonderland and do an adaptation of Force Awakens instead for the DtRH universe. We'll see, Force Awakens may not be doable, won't know till the movie comes out in December. Of course, who knows I may be able to do both, we'll see. I doubt I would start Thrawn in Wonderland soon anyways. In fact, with the time it took me to do DtRH (which was a huge undertaking to begin with) and SiW is almost as big or as big as DtRH, I may not start Thrawn in Wonderland till after Force Awakens is released.
Also, when do you all think Piper, Prue and Phoebe should build their lightsabers? And what colors do you think they should have?
