Chapter 15: Jedi Crash

In the middle of an intense battle, we find Republic ships under heavy attack by the Separatists.
Inside a cruiser we see a blue-skinned Twi'lek adult woman was bracing herself. This was Jedi Master Aayla Secura.
"Our shields are down!" A clone said.
"Hurry, Kenobi, Skywalker, we're depending on you." Aalya said.
Coming out of light speed, the Republic Ships carrying Anakin and Obi-Wan arrive to see the battle unfolding.
"Well looks like we made it just in time for the party." Obi-Wan said.
"Prepare the gunships." Anakin orders.
On the Separatists ship a droid commander was at the bay.
"We have them now. Send in the super droids." It orders as a hatch opens and tons of super battle droids drop down onto Aalya's ship.
"Commander get out there and stop those droids!" Aalya orders turning to her clone Commander Bly.
"I'm on it." Bly said putting on his helmet and running out.
In the bay, Anakin, Ahsoka, Shun. Rex and the Bad Batch ran onto a ship.
"We're ready admiral." Anakin said as they launched the ships.
"General, Skywalker and Kenobi are here." A clone said.
"And none too soon. We're entering the atmosphere." Aayla said as their ship began to catch fire.
"So this is what being on a rescue team is like." Shun said.
"Not as fun as being the other end, is it?" Ahsoka asks.
"No it is not." Shun said.
"Rocket Droids incoming!" The pilot said.
"Crosshair you're up." Hunter said.
"On it." In the gunner's pit, Crosshair aimed the cannons and started firing shooting as many as possible.
Turning around some rocket droids began flying towards the ships.
"Those droids are boarding Aayla's ship!" Anakin said.
"If we weren't moving so fast I can use my glider!" Shun said.
As Crosshair fired a super battle droid landed in front of him.
"Take care of that Clanker! I'll be boarding Aayla's ship!" Anakin said.
"Master are you sure that's the best—" Before Ahsoka could finish Anakin leaped off the ship and onto a Rocket Droid to get him into the ship.
Drawing his lightsaber, Anakin began slicing through battle droids left and right.
"Wrecker get ready to grab Crosshair!" Shun said.
"Right!" Wrecker said as Super Battle Droid ripped the hood off Crosshair's compartment.
Firing a blast of air, Shun makes the droid step back allowing Crosshair to leap off towards Wrecker who pulled him back in.
Drawing his blaster Hunter nails it through the chest making the droid explode causing the ship to rattle.
"We're going down!" Tech yells.
"Kids!" Rex yells.
"We know! We're hanging on!" Ahsoka yells as they all held onto the ship for dear life.
Crashing into the ship they all leaped off.
"Alright guys we gotta rescue the Jedi but other than that go nuts." Shun said drawing his lightsaber alongside Ahsoka.
"My favorite orders." Wrecker grins charging ahead.
"Those are your orders?" Ahsoka asks.
"Simple but effective. These guys like to do their own thing." Shun smirks. "Try to keep up Ahsoka."
"Oh you wanna go?" Ahsoka smirks following after him.
In the Separatist ship, the lead droid was getting impatient.
"Destroy that cruiser." It points.
"But sir, there are still hundreds of droids on board." A droid said.
"I don't care." It said.
"Roger roger." The droid said as heavy fire rained down on the republic cruiser.
Inside the droids fired on Wrecker when Shun used his metal bending to make wall panels shoot out in front of Wrecker to shield him.
Grabbing the panels, Wrecker uses them to ram into the droids knocking them all down.
"Ugh did anyone get the registration number on that tank?" A droid groans when Tech, Hunter, Rex and Crosshair shoot the droids as they get up.
"I think I'm finally getting the hang of all this." Shun said deflecting droid fire and slashing them to pieces.
Luckily Obi-Wan had shown him some Form 3 moves.
"Took you long enough." Ahsoka leaps over him and brings her lightsaber down on a droid slicing it in half.
Running down the hall they eventually caught up with Anakin.
"What took you so long?" Anakin asks.
"We went by ship, not by droid." Shun said thrusting his arms forward blasting the droids with an intense fire attack clearing a path for them.
"What was that?" At the end of the wreckage, they saw Aayla and Bly running towards them.
"That would be me." Shun said as they met in the middle.
"Nice entrance Skywalker, I don't suppose you have a way out of here?" Aayla asks as they ran through the halls.
"Well I have a ship docking in the lower hanger as we speak." Anakin said.
"Uh you?" Ahsoka raised an eyebrow.
On cue we see Obi-Wan and a clone landing in the docking bay.
"Shun. Do you read me?" Obi-Wan said into a communicator.
"Master I read you." Shun answers.
"Hurry to the hanger now! It's getting very hot in here." Obi-Wan said.
"We're on our way." Shun said.
Turning a corner, they see one battle droid alone in the hall.
"Uh freeze." It said pointing its blaster at them.
Smirking Anakin raised his lightsaber to chop its head off when a door opens revealing a squad of droids.
"Ha ha!" The droid declares.
Slamming his foot down Shun made metal beams shoot out of the ground in front of them to cover them.
"This way!" Hunter said as they ran to the hanger.
Little did they know the ship was beginning to explode behind them.
"We made it." Ahsoka said arriving at the hanger and pressing the docking button.
"Gangway locked in sir." A clone said.
"And not a minute too soon." Obi-Wan said.
They were about to get on when they heard a rumbling.
Turning around Anakin saw the explosions getting closer.
"Too late!" Anakin said.
Turning to the others he used a Force Push to get them on board.
"Master!" Ahsoka gasps as Anakin closed the door separating them.
Using the Force, Anakin tries to lessen the explosion but the resulting impact sent him flying against the wall knocking him unconscious.
"Anakin!" Shun gasps running to the door.
"Hold that ship!" Ahsoka said joining him.
"What are you doing?!" Aayla gasps as Shun sliced an opening with his lightsaber to see Anakin on the ground unconscious.
"Help me get him up!" Shun said as Ahsoka ran to help him grab Anakin.
"Padawans we must leave now." Aayla orders.
"Not without him." Shun said as they pulled Anakin out.
Running over Wrecker picks up Anakin and hangs him over his shoulder.
"Got him." Wrecker said as they ran out.
"Hurry get him on the ship." Aayla said as they got Anakin on board.
"I'll turn on the deflector shields!" Bly said running inside.
"Gangway release!" Rex said separating them from the cruiser.
"You'll never be able to dock with our ship in the middle of a battle." The admiral said.
"Anakin is in critical condition, we need to get on board the Resolute now." Obi-Wan orders.
"Are all Jedi so reckless?" Admiral asks.
"Just the good ones." Aayla smirks.
As they began to dock, Vulture Droids fired at them resulting in the clone opposite Obi-Wan getting hit and banging against the controls.
"Hyperdrive's been activated!" Hunter gasps.
"Shut it down!" Obi-Wan orders.
"I can't!" Bly said trying to disable it.
"General what's going on?" Admiral Yularen asks.
"We're going into hyperspace. Detach! Detach!" Aayla said as the ship quickly pulled out.
"Evasive maneuvers!" Obi-Wan said as their ship shot into hyperspace.
"Plot every course along their last known trajectory!" Yularen orders.
In the medical room, Ahsoka was with Shun as he was using his waterbending to try and heal some of Anakin's injuries.
"We may not have the best medical supplies but at least we got your bending." Ahsoka said.
"Never know when you might need some water." Shun said as the door opens revealing Aayla
"Shun we need you and Ahsoka with Commander Bly on the bridge right now." Aayla said.
"Have someone else help him, Anakin needs our help more than him." Shun said.
"Shun if you want to help Anakin then we need to get this ship to safety." Aayla said.
Sighing in defeat, Shun bends the water back into his canteen.
"Hang tight Master Skywalker, you'll be as good as new soon." Shun assures when Rex and Bly ran in.
"We have a problem." Rex said.
"What is it?" Aayla asks.
"In our haste to escape, the navicomputer's coordinates were inputted incorrectly. And, well, we're headed right for a star." Bly said.
"Are you kidding me?" Shun said in a panicked tone.
Running to the main controls they saw Hunter and Obi-Wan trying to fix it.
"Of all the times for Anakin to get hurt." Obi-Wan said.
"It's no use, the control system is fried." Hunter said.
"Maybe a good hit will fix it." Wrecker said.
"That's your solution for everything." Hunter said.
"Tech work your magic." Shun orders.
"On it." Tech said getting to work to find a problem. "Got it. I need to shut down all power circuits to reset the coordinates."
"That will cut off Anakin's life support!" Ahsoka said not on board with this.
"I don't like it any more than you do, but it's a risk we're going to have to take." Aayla said.
"Do it Tech." Hunter orders.
"Shun brace yourself. It's about to get bumpy." Obi-Wan cringed.
As Tech shut down the primary controls Ahsoka, Bly and Obi-Wan were safe in their chairs while Shun, Aayla, Rex and the Bad Batch were forced to hang on for dear life.
Exiting hyperspace they were approaching the burning star.
"We're out of hyperspace! Switch the power back on!" Tech yells.
Aayla was about to pull the switch when Crosshair slipped back and knocked into her.
"What are you waiting for?!" Tech calls out.
Turning around Shun saw no one was able to pull the switch.
Using the Force, Shun turned it back on himself.
"Hurry!" Shun said as he stumbled to regain his footing.
Changing the direction Ahsoka shot away from the star, but they ended up going towards a planet.
"Well, we're not gonna crash into the star, but we're definitely gonna hit that planet." Ahsoka cringed.
"Brace yourselves!" Bly yells.
As they were about to crash, Obi-Wan saw Shun struggle to get back to his seat.
"Shun!" Moving quickly Obi-Wan pushes Shun back just before impact causing him to take the damage for his Padawan making him bang against the wall knocking him out.
"Master!" Shun gasps in horror seeing his unconscious body drop next to him.
"Everyone out!" Rex yells as he, Bly and Crosshair were the first to get out.
"Come on people move it!" Wrecker yells as he and Tech followed behind.
"Master wake up!" Shun said shaking Obi-Wan but got no response. "No…no not again." Shun said when Hunter runs over.
"Come on, we gotta move." Hunter said as they helped him up.
Making their way out they saw Ahsoka and Aayla carrying Anakin out of the medical bay.
Struggling the four of them made it out just before the ship exploded.
"Well, we made it and Master Skywalker is still alive." Aayla said.
"Yeah but now we have 2 unconscious Jedi Masters." Ahsoka said gesturing to Obi-Wan.
As Shun looked down at his unconscious master he couldn't help but panic.
Another Master of his had thrown himself in front to save him. First Master Tapal and now Master Obi-Wan.
Soon they had set up camp with a small tent for the unconscious Jedi and a fire.
The planet they were on seemed to be a lush grassland planet with lots of tall grass surrounding them.
As Obi-Wan was lying next to Anakin wrapped in bandages, Shun was trying to heal them both but without enough water, there wasn't much he could do.
"Shun you've been healing them for a half-hour. You need a break." Ahsoka said.
"It's all my fault. If I hadn't messed up Master would be fine." Shun said.
"You saved us, you did the right thing. Trust me I know what you're going through." Ahsoka said.
Bending down to put a hand on his shoulder, Shun immediately pulls her into a hug surprising her.
"I don't want to lose another Master." Shun said with fear in his voice.
"I know Shun, and we won't." Ahsoka said trying to comfort him.
"Obi-Wan's injuries aren't as severe but that doesn't mean they're not dangerous if not treated. Anakin on the other hand doesn't have much time. We need to find help tonight." Aayla said.
"Alright you and Bly go south. Shun and I will stay with Rex and watch over them." Ahsoka said.
"Take my squad with you if you have to." Shun agrees.
"No Ahsoka, in order to get help quickly you two must come with us." Aayla said.
"I'm not leaving my master behind." Shun declares.
"Master, I know if I was hurt, he'd never leave me behind." Ahsoka assures.
"I know this is hard for you both but they have to stay behind. We must go now." Aayla insists. "There is nothing more we can do for them."
Hearing this both Padawans couldn't help but frown.
"If we want to save them we must go now. As a Jedi, we must do what is best for the group." Aayla said
Looking over, Ahsoka noticed Shun grip something from under his shirt.
"Hey guys! I found something funny." Wrecker calls out getting their attention.
Walking to him they saw Wrecker holding some kind of stone.
"Look at this weird little drawing." Wrecker said showing them the carving of a creature fighting off a beast in front of a large tree. "What do you think this is?"
"Hmm clearly this is some kind of carving. No doubt made from the inhabitants on this planet." Tech said examining it.
"But what inhabits this planet is what I want to know." Hunter said.
"Sadly I'm not getting very good descriptions from this drawing." Tech said.
"I don't know about that, but I bet that would be a fun fight." Wrecker said pointing to the beast drawing.
From the grass, a low roared echoed as an unknown creature eyed them or more specifically the two sleeping Jedi.
"What was that?" Hunter asks as all the clones turned on their helmet lights.
"Doesn't sound friendly, that's for sure." Crosshair said.
"If you don't mind me asking General Secura where exactly are we going?" Bly asks.
"To find the people who live on this planet." Aayla said.
"But where are we going to find them?" Bly asks.
"Well if I had to guess maybe they live near giant trees." Ahsoka said pointing to the one in the drawing.
"Very perceptive Padawan." Aayla smirks.
Grabbing their bags, both Padawns look at their unconscious masters.
"Hang on Master." Shun said.
"Don't worry Rex will watch over you two." Ahsoka said as Rex walks over.
"Don't worry kid, I'll take good care of him." Rex assures.
"Hunter I know it's a lot to ask but would you stay as well and help?" Shun asks.
"Of course." Hunter nods turning to his team. "Bad Batch, stick close to Shun. Until we regroup he calls the shots."
Nodding the three of them put their helmets on.
"Captain Rex, Hunter keep your locators on. We should be back by daybreak with whoever or whatever lives on this planet." Aayla assures.
"Understood." Both nodded.
"Come on let's move out." Aayla said.
Grabbing his glider, Shun strapped it to his back and followed the group as they ran off to find help.
Pausing Rex and Hunter looked at each other seeing that the two clones were all by themselves.
"So…how should we do watch shifts?" Rex asks.
"We'll figure that out when night comes." Hunter said sitting down.
"Hmm not big on preparations," Rex mumbles as he sat down opposite Hunter.
In the open plains, the group was on the lookout for civilians but Shun had decided to use his glider to look from the sky.
"So he's the Padawan with the unique abilities I heard about." Aayla said looking up at him.
"He prefers the title Avatar. In his world, it's a very exclusive and powerful rank. Dating back as far as his world's history goes." Tech said.
"We know Tech, Shun's had to explain that a million times." Ahsoka said as he landed nearby.
"See anything?" Tech asks.
"I saw a large tree in that direction. If we keep the pace, we should make it there by nightfall." Shun points.
"Good work. We're on the right track." Aayla said.
As they moved forward Wrecker noticed the sad look on Shun's face as he put his glider on his back.
Slowing down, Wrecker lifted his helmet up to look at him.
"Talk about a crazy place to crash land on huh?" Wrecker asks but Shun didn't respond. "Trust me when I say this isn't even one of the worst places I've been too." Wrecker chuckles but Shun was still silent. "Hey uh listen Shun uh after every mission I uh like to go to this little shop in Coruscant makes some tasty Mantell Mix. You ever had Mantell Mix before? I'm telling you the stuff is delicious. What do you say when we get back you and I head there and I'll get you a box? It can be our thing. How does that sound?"
Slowly Shun smiles softly. "Thanks Wrecker I really appreciate it, big guy. I'm just worried about Master Obi-Wan and Skywalker."
"Ehh don't you worry your little head. With Hunter guarding them, that's the one thing you don't have to worry about." Wrecker assures ruffling his head making him chuckle. "There it is. There's that smile." Wrecker laughs.
"Okay okay cut it out." Shun said breaking free.
As he walked to catch up with Ahsoka she couldn't help but giggle.
"Quite an interesting squad you have." Ahsoka giggles.
"You should see them at home. Wrecker's become Haya's new buddy." Shun said.
"Oh that I gotta see." Ahsoka said.
"It's good to see you two having a better attitude, but I can still sense your feelings for Anakin and Obi-Wan your attachments." Aayla points out.
"My first Clone Wars mission I lost my first master and I've grown to like working with Master Kenobi." Shun said.
"It's just... I get so confused sometimes. It's forbidden for Jedi to form attachments, yet we are supposed to be compassionate." Ahsoka said.
'Another annoying flaw in the code.' Shun thought.
"It is nothing to be ashamed of, Ahsoka. I went through the same process when I was your age with my own master." Aayla admits surprising them.
"Really? You?" Shun asks.
"Jedi Master Quinlan Vos. He was like a father to me, but I realized that for the greater good I had to let him go." Aayla said.
"But that's not fair." Shun said as both Jedi turned to him. "You shouldn't have to let your loved ones go. If you thought of him as family you shouldn't have to let him. You don't push away people you care about. If you do then you're all alone."
"Don't lose a thousand lives to save one." Aayla said.
"But what if you can save a thousand and one lives?" Shun counters.
Looking at him, Ahsoka noticed Shun gripping something under his shirt again.
"I'm gonna make sure I can save that one." Ahsoka mumbles.
Soon night came and Shun led Aayla, Ahsoka, Bly and the rest of the Bad Batch to the large trees he saw.
"I don't see any signs of life." Bly said feeling the tree.
Up at the top, they suddenly heard something break.
Looking up they saw a giant pod fall towards Bly.
"Look out!" Aayla yells as Shun fired a blast of air blowing it away just before it crushed Bly.
"Come on!" Shun said as more pods rained down.
"No wonder it's abandoned. It's a death trap. You'd have to be crazy to want to dodge those on a daily basis." Ahsoka said.
"I know how great is that?" Wrecker asks.
"Case and point." Crosshair said.
"So in other words, we came all the way out here for nothing." Shun sighs when Aayla noticed some tracks nearby.
"I wouldn't say that." Aayla points.
"Hmm it appears someone has figured outa use for those dangerous pods." Tech said examining one to see it was something dragged.
"All we need to do is follow the trail." Aayla said as they ran as fast as they could.
Back at the camp, Hunter and Rex were waiting around unaware that something was eyeing the camp through the grass.
Groaning softly, Obi-Wan lifts his head up to see Anakin unconscious next to him.
"Always…doing something reckless." Obi-Wan groans softly.
As Hunter tended to the fire, Rex was looking at him curiously but didn't say anything.
"You've been staring at me for a while now. You got something to say or what?" Hunter asks.
"Sorry I've just been curious about something," Rex said as Hunter turns to him. "The other members of your squad have very interesting enhancements but I can't seem to figure out yours."
"Besides putting up with the other 3 and Shun?" Hunter smirks.
"Sorry if it's too personal." Rex apologizes.
"Well if I'm gonna be stuck working with you for a while you might as well know. I was engineered with heightened senses. Like a cyber center, I can feel electromagnetic frequencies from anywhere on the planet." Hunter said.
"Like a holo map." Rex assumes.
"Maps can be wrong, I never am." Hunter declares.
"So why didn't you agree to go with the others, sounds like they could have used that?" Rex asks.
"Because Shun needed me here to help you protect them. Not to mention I'm sensing any frequencies at the moment." Hunter said.
"You're alright soldier." Rex said.
"You're not too bad yourself reg." Hunter admits.
Slowly Obi-Wan sat up only to cringe in pain.
"How did I get here?" He asks when he recalled taking the force of the crash for Shun. "Oh right. I am a hypocrite."
However, his train of thought was interrupted when he heard a soft growling.
Looking in the tall grass, he noticed something was watching them.
"Oh no." Obi-Wan tried to stand up and grab his lightsaber but was still in pain and tumbles over getting the clones attention.
"General!" Rex gasps as he ran to help him up.
"Behind you." Obi-Wan said weakly.
Bursting out of the grass the beast was a Mastiff phalone a type of avian quadrapads.
"What in the?!" Rex gasps as the beast tackles him to the ground.
Struggling Rex tried to grab his blaster but the beast pinned him down.
Raising its beak, it was about to bite him down when Hunter fires a shot hitting it in the back.
Screeching in pain the beast ran away into the grass.
Groaning Rex looks to see Hunter walking up to him.
"Thanks I owe ya one." Rex said catching his breath.
"You don't owe me anything." Hunter said helping him up.
"What happened?" Obi-Wan asks.
"Long story General, but all you need to know is help is on the way." Rex said.
"Thanks goodness." Obi-Wan said laying back down in the tent.
"What was that thing?" Rex asks.
"Whatever it was we need to be extra careful because right now the only thing standing between that and an easy meal is us." Hunter warns as both clones looked at the injured Jedi.
Groaning Anakin slowly began to wake up.
"What happened?" Anakin asks.
"Nice of you to wake up when the trouble is gone." Obi-Wan said sarcastically.
Out in the plains, the other group entered a small clearing when they heard a growling noise.
Nervously all of them huddled together when Crosshair heard it.
"On your left!" Crosshair yells as two Mastiff phalones leaped out of the grass and attacked them.
Using his earthbending, Shun made a boulder shoot out of the ground making them scatter.
Drawing their blasters, Bly, Crosshair and Tech fired killing one of them but the other rammed into Wrecker knocking him to the ground.
"You think you're tough?" Wrecker said trying to keep it from biting down on his neck.
"Get off of him!" Refusing to lose anyone else, Shun blasts the beast with Firebending making it scream in pain.
Turning around the beast ran away as Shun panted heavily calming down.
"Where did that come from?" Ahsoka asks amazed.
"Wrecker you okay?" Shun asks as Wrecker groans getting up.
"Yeah I'm good. That thing could hit." Wrecker said holding his head.
"Well know we know what the beast in that carving was." Tech said.
"We have to keep moving. Who knows how many are still out there?" Aayla asks.
"Tech what were those?" Shun asks.
"Mastiff Phalones very dangerous carnivores. Fortunately, it was just a small party." Tech said.
"I think I speak for all of us when I say we don't need to run into a big party." Ahsoka said.
"No kidding. Crosshair keep your rifle at the ready." Shun suggests.
"With pleasure." Crosshair nods as they continued running.
The next morning they arrive in a small village full of Lurmen who were examining them curiously.
"Uh hi there." Shun waves but got no answer.
From behind a few an elderly Lurmen with yellow robes and a white beard stepped forward. This was Tee Watt Kaa.
"What have you come here for?" Tee Watt Kaa asks.
"We are peacekeepers. We are Jedi from the Galactic Republic. Our ship crashed a few miles away, and two of us is very badly injured. We need your help." Aayla explains.
"Violence breeds violence. Jedi are not peacekeepers." Tee Watt Kaa said.
"We're fighting for freedom and peace." Ahsoka said.
"And freedom and peace require fear and death." He counters. "We colonized this system to find solace from your wretched war. We came here to find peace. You must leave. You will only destroy what small amount of peace is left in the galaxy. You will only bring the destruction of us."
"And you think doing nothing is the answer?" Shun asks.
"It has done my people much good." Tee Watt Kaa nods.
"Regardless of the Clone Wars and our part in them, we still need your help." Aayla said.
"I'm afraid I must do what's best for my people. We cannot help you." He said turning them.
"Please our friends are dying." Ahsoka begs.
"Can't you even spare some supplies?" Shun asks.
Sighing Tee Watt Kaa looks to a younger Lurmen who wore a red beanie.
"I cannot ignore a plea for help. I will send my son, Wag Too, to help your friend. He is a healer." Tee Watt Kaa said as he walked over. "But only one Jedi may go with him. The other must stay as insurance. We wouldn't want a surprise attack on our village or the kidnapping of our only healer."
However, Shun and Ahsoka did not like the sound of that.
"Don't worry Shun, we'll stay here with you." Wrecker offers.
"Absolutely not, the Clones and their blasters will go with you." Tee Watt Kaa immediately objects.
"I'll go." Ahsoka offers.
"Are you sure about that?" Shun asks worried.
"Be mindful of your surroundings, Padawan, those creatures are still out there." Aayla said.
"You guys hurry back." Shun said.
"Don't worry Shun, now that it's the day we'll able to find the ship much quicker." Tech said as they, Ahsoka, Wag Too and Bly left the village.
Soon, Shun and Aayla were sitting in Tee Watt Ka's tent as he poured them both a drink.
"Here. These will restore your energy." He offers.
"Thank you." Shun said as they both took a drink.
"I'm sure you are aware that the Jedi did not initiate the Clone Wars. Our only intention is to end it and restore peace to our galaxy." Aayla said.
"What difference does it make who started the war and who only wants to end it? No side is free of fault. It takes two to fight." Tee Watt Kaa said.
"Isn't liberty worth fighting for?" Aayla asks.
"But is it worth dying for? Fighting for something doesn't necessarily mean you have to destroy everything in your path. Only when you lay your arms down and pursue a course of non-violence can you make this claim to me that the Jedi are peacekeepers." Tee Watt Kaa asks.
"You know…on my world there was a war that had lasted for a hundred years." Shun said looking in his direction. "At the beginning the Air Nation thought exactly like you do, they thought if they stayed out of the war, they wouldn't be harmed but the Fire Nation didn't care. Whether they were on the opposite side or not they attacked everyone in their way and nearly wiped them all out."
"That's horrible." Aayla said.
"You may think you're doing the right thing staying out of the war, but make no mistake just because you won't fight back doesn't mean they'll leave you alone." Shun warns.
Narrowing his eyes, the elder couldn't help but wonder if this was true.
Back at the camp, Anakin and Obi-Wan were starting to wake up while Rex and Hunter were tired from keeping watch.
"Rex, Hunter we need to move." Obi-Wan said.
"You two need to rest." Rex said.
"I can't, they're coming. I can hear them." Anakin groans weakly.
From the bushes, 3 more Mastiff Phalones emerged.
"Not again." Hunter growls as the two weakened masters tried to draw their lightsabers.
Snarling the three monsters charged in.
Drawing their blasters Hunter and Rex fired killing one while the other two charged out.
"Look out!" Hunter yells as they narrowly avoided being crushed.
"Master!" Running to the camp, they saw Ahsoka and their reiformcents return.
"Took you long enough!" Hunter said as Crosshair drew his rifle and fired.
"Oh yeah Round 2!" Wrecker yells tackling a Mastiff Phalone to the ground.
Snarling the beast swings it claws at him but Wrekcer grabs it by the arm.
Growling Wrecker lifts the beast high into the air but just before he could bring it down Crosshair fired killing it.
"Hey that was my kill!" Wrecker said annoyed.
"And now it's mine." Crosshair said.
Drawing her lightsaber, Ahsoka was about to kill the last one.
"Don't!" Wang Too calls out.
Grabbing some rope, Wang Too throws it around the beast's legs.
Running to his aid, Bly and Tech pulled on the rope making the beast fall to the ground.
"Ahsoka where's Shun?" Obi-Wan asks weakly.
"He's fine master." Ahsoka assures.
"Good to see you Snips." Anakin said weakly.
"This is Wag Too, he's a healer. He can make you well again." Ahsoka introduced.
"Don't worry, I'll get you both healed." Wang Too assures.
Soon the two Jedi Masters were brought to the village and Wang Too began to heal them.
On a hill overlooking the village, Aayla sat with Ahsoka and Shun.
"You two learned much from this experience padawans." Aayla said.
"You were right Master, if we had stayed we'd have never found this village." Ahsoka said.
"And now we're all rested up and feeling better." Shun said.
"We still have to find a way off this planet." Aayla said.
"Well, I'm sure Admiral Yularen and the Republic fleet are looking for us. It shouldn't take them too long to get here." Ahsoka said.
"In the meantime, I guess we just need to be careful." Shun said.
"You two have much to learn but at least you're on the right track." Aayla said getting up and walking away.
Ahsoka was about to get up when she noticed Shun gripping his shirt again.
'What is Shun hiding?' Ahsoka thought curious.
They had saved Anakin and Obi-Wan but the question of how they would get home is still a huge problem.
