19. An Incoming Meteor Strikes

"...Hmmm." Petey Piranha mumbled as he glanced up at the clear blue sky, being on the Shine Gate in Delfino Square.

"What is it this time?" Gooper Blooper asked as he whirled his tentacles around in the air, reaching the tower as he approached Petey.

"It looks like there's a meteor shower. Or something." Petey remarked as he pointed at the sky.

Gooper squinted his eyes at the sky, then glancing back at Petey. "A meteor shower? Are you sure it's not just the sun doing damage to your eyes?"

Petey glanced back at Gooper as he frowned. "I don't have visible eyes, remember?"

"...Oh yeah." Gooper apologized as he rubbed the back of his blooper head with both of his right tentacles. "So, what is up there, anyway?"

Petey was going to comment, but he had no time as he was smashed off the Shine Gate by Rayquaza, who was traveling back down to the planet too fast, both of them tumbling down the grassy hill and into the water within the city. Gooper looked down, to see Petey and Rayquaza resurface.

"Sorry about that. I got carried away from my fight with Deoxys." Rayquaza apologized as Petey just shook his head, with a huge meteor coming down and causing a huge splash, water being splashed all across the city, knocking both of the green creatures down.
